No points if the banning action created a significant black market that aided the corruption of the organisations meant to oversee the banning.

Insurers & reinsurers are using this period to make super profits.
It really is quite obscene.
In Australia, if the high court rules in favour of the insurance companies re business continuity insurance, they would have had two years of raping everyone on premium hikes for nothing as they are increasing premiums everywhere to boost reserves pending the outcome of the litigation.
If the high court rules against the insurance companies, the government will step in with some tax payer funded plan meaning the insurance companies win again.

Take regular exercise, they said. It’s good for your health, they said. Balderdash, I say. Those health bureaucrats have their dangerous fingers in a lot of pies nowadays.
“Heart only good for so many beats. If you want to live longer, take a nap.”
A study earlier this year found a correlation between resting heart rate and longevity. Every beat over 60 decreased longevity. To lower the resting heart rate you need to increase aerobic capacity. Moderate exercise and managing stress will lower the resting heart rate. The increase in heart rate for a few hours of moderate exercise per week is offset by the lower resting heart rate. My RHR is tad over 60 which surprises me because I don’t do aerobics but at the gym I maintain intensity by timing my rests between sets. In deep sleep my heart rate drops to the low 50’s. Those are good numbers which don’t match up with some of my more problematic habits of years gone by(smoking, not exercising, foregoing sleep, working very long hours).
Get some fucking exercise.

Oldest living Wren recalls horror as her fiancé sailed straight into ambush
Jack Malvern

VICKI COUCHMAN FOR THE TIMES

Save
The last surviving Wren to have played a part in the Battle of the Atlantic has spoken of the terror she felt as she plotted the positions of Royal Navy ships as they skirmished with German U-boats.
Christian Lamb, 101, recalled the events with absolute clarity as female veterans around the country marked the 80th anniversary of women’s conscription this month.
As a former member of the Women’s Royal Naval Service, Lamb was a volunteer rather than a conscript. The plotter, who marked positions of convoys and their escorts on a map at Belfast Castle, recently published a memoir of her wartime exploits and has a personal reason to recall the skirmishes between Allied convoys and German U-boats in the stormy waters of the mid-Atlantic.
ALAMY
She was on duty as a decisive battle raged around a sailor to whom she had become engaged a few days earlier.
In April 1943 she began plotting the course of a convoy known as ONS-5, a slow-moving group whose protection included a destroyer manned by her fiancé, John Lamb.
The romance had been swift, beginning when his ship HMS Oribi docked in Belfast for repairs and a group of Wrens were dispatched to welcome the sailors.
“HMS Oribi had, of course, her naval priorities correctly aligned and one of her first actions was to send to Belfast Castle for a contingent of Wrens to join the wardroom just as soon as the sun was over the yardarm,” Lamb recalled in her book Beyond the Sea. “It was on this auspicious night that I met First Lieutenant John Bruce Lamb DSC. In fact, this was the start of a whirlwind romance, which ended ten days later with our becoming engaged.”
By April 29 Lamb was fighting his way through “mountainous seas and hurricane-force winds” to protect the convoy.
“Worse was to come as four U-boats were known to be in contact, with many more shadowing the armada,” Lamb recalled.
The flotilla attracted the attention of 40 U-boats. Lamb remembered the teleprinter at Belfast Castle buzzing with signals about the impending attack.
“The tension grew as Oribi was obviously headed straight for the ‘wolf pack’ and the plot in front of us became a vivid picture of the action, with all of us taking a vicarious part in it.”
Her colleagues made up “spurious excuses” to persuade her to change watch so that she would not see her fiancé being attacked but she rebuffed them.
“I could not possibly leave the scene. I had to be able to see what was happening. I know that if I was not in the plotting room, hearing the news as it came in, I would not be able to put it out of my mind . . . It was better for me to be there in the thick of it. I knew I was experiencing just a fraction of the fear that John and his crew must be facing. But having just secured this man, I was truly worried that I might now lose him.”
Speaking at her home in Battersea, Lamb recalled how a battle unfolded that would later be seen as a turning point for Atlantic convoys because of the damage suffered by the German navy. “They had this frightful battle. [U-boats] particularly liked to dive underneath the convoy and come up in the middle so they could do a lot of damage, then disappear again.”
The Germans sank 12 of the convoy but lost eight U-boats and sustained damage to a further 12, forcing the Kriegsmarine to rethink its strategy.
Oribi was in the thick of the action, at one point ramming a U-boat and riding over the top of it.
“I do not know how I managed to get through those fraught days while ONS-5 and Oribi, in whose wardroom I had so recently celebrated my engagement to the man I loved, was under attack. Each hour seemed to last an eternity, until at last the Royal Canadian Air Force was within range and the residue of the bitterly defended convoy sailed safely on to its destination.”
Lieutenant Lamb survived to marry his Wren on December 15, 1943 in a union that lasted until his death in 1991. They had a family of three children, seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Because the one in Darwin, the one used with absolutely no complaints by Olympic athletes and footballers and cricketers and normal people, and the one that restrains its occupants by virtue of a seven foot chain gate with no barbed wire and stepladders next to it was a FIFO camp for years. ACT police are examining clips and images of the fire posted to social media and have appealed to members of the public to come forward with any footage.
In one video, a protester can be seen throwing kindling into the fire as others stand around singing “stand up and be counted”. The fire is lit directly against the doors of the building and the flames are rising several feet into the air.

One of my pet hates is the number of people with Aussie citizenship does not equal the number of Aussies. Look at the immigration numbers, and how many still identify as Greek, Irish, Vietnamese or whatever despite being citizens here. Or even having been the second or third generally born here.
People need time to assimilate. They need a dominant culture to assimilate into. I don’t think it possible here any more. It is a country, but not a nation.
So saying Aussies just bent over isn’t quite right, there’s not enough born and raised to matter.
If everyone had come out of the last two years looking at each other and going “What the hell was that… let’s never do THAT again”, then OK.
But I get the feeling that, even now, isn’t what a lot of Australians are thinking.

EM is a large global corporate.
They would have flown some guys in from wherever to keep things rolling. And, if I know EM, the place would have been weighed down by documentation. A little bit of light reading for the new crew, maybe the odd hiccup, but it would have continued on.
In the short-term they might have over-fuelled aircraft in Sydney or Brisbane to avoid Melbourne re-fuels.
Inefficient, but they would have stiffed the government for the difference.
Sad but true.

I’m disappointed in Australia. I think it’s all about moral courage and honesty as much as the brains to assess risk intelligently, and we come out as pathetic.
I have to agree, as much as it pains me to say it. I think we are a bunch of compliant losers. How THAT came about from such hardy stock as our forebears, I just don’t know.
My two grandmothers were amazing women. One (my mother’s mother) was deserted by her husband in the midst of the Great Depression, with 8 children to raise alone. She managed to evade the social service inspectors (yes, the same ones who took away neglected Aboriginal children – no difference there) & raised every one of them successfully.
My father’s mother was a formidable woman. Both her parents had died while she was a small child and she was taken in by her grandparents. It must have been too much for them, as they married her off at 14 years old to a 35 year old coal miner. The latter was a drunken brute who abused the girls among the 8 children that he fathered. After he died of silicosis, grandmother moved to far northern Queensland where she subsequently had two more marriages and bought herself a gold mine. I only met her once and I was too young and “full of myself” to appreciate it. When my daughter was born she sent me a magnificent matinee jacket which she had knitted, and wrote to me wistfully, “I was just a child myself when I had my first baby”.
To return to topic…….now THOSE were brave, independent, and resilient Australians, the like of which we may never see again.

Nowhere near 90%.
That’s just more lying propaganda.
Just enough jabbed that with media bullshit and enough on social media to seem that way.
Victoria wouldn’t have 90% at all.
Queensland has 1.5 million double jabbed out of 5 million….and that is according to the Queensland governments own figures.

Yep, Rick, have been taken all of that (except Quercetin, which I have only recently been able to obtain and anti-histamines as well. I believe that has kept us fairly well prepared. Actually, husband just commented this morning that he gets so many cuts, bruises etc on the farm, but they heal incredibly fast. I don’t share your optimism, I suspect that our lords and masters are more concerned with polling results and want to quieten things down prior to the next election. The uniparty doesn’t want to go into an election campaign against the UAP loudly promising no more mandatory jabbing and no more lockdowns, so they will try their hardest to neutralise the appeal of that message.

More recently he had an appearance via Zoom before a magistrate in Adelaide for some Covid reg breach.

I’m not sure. A mix I’d suggest.
Without doubt, some of the sections would be closed for refurbishment. That doesn’t explain why they aren’t simply closed off and the rest open to the public. I’d say Covid regulations are driving the limited numbers and timings. As I say, I’m not 100%, other than I have some disappointed kids.

The end is coming, Old Bloke. Our Lords and Masters are at the stage where the smart ones realise the game is up and seek to extricate themselves with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of cover up.
The authoritarians haven’t yet come to that conclusion and will double down when they are challenged.
No matter what, our L&M are seeing themselves exposed as the vermin they are.

People have lives that they used to share here, each making their own contributions, all with something to add to the mix of human experience and opinion from the centre-right side of politics with a lot of fun and enjoyment for all except a miserable few. Presently, the Cat is a mess of personal condemnations, a vile pit where a rabid mob has run me of town and the mob is now baying for Rosie’s blood with few standing up for her. Neither conservative nor libertarian, imho.
It is disgusting. I am glad to be gone. We’ve been having an interesting time in Canberra we saw preps being made on the arvo of the 28th for the Parliamentary burning on the 30th, stacking up what appeared to be burnables. We were idly driving by after visiting the excellent Jeffrey Smart exhibition at the Woke NGA. Wondered then why Security didn’t see them off the porch pronto before anything went up. Drove through Queanbeyan on the way in but missed seeing the Witch-Finder General prowling her streets. We then hit Ben Hall territory in Forbes, had a great time with some non-woke locals we met, and enjoyed the Colonial heritage including the local museum and the late Victorian Town Hall where Nellie Melba sang, built by the man whose magnificent house we stayed in. Get into those central-western Aussie country towns all you bored stay-at-homes.
Friends running Covid scared in Sydney have just cancelled their big NYE bash. Home sweet home now and my impulse purchase of a new dress for tonight from Honeysuckle and Lace in Canberra’s trendy Kingston while Hairy was having a coffee is left staying unpacked and unworn. So sad.
Especially sad that you will all so much miss my fashion features. (look up irony, some of you have no idea).
Best wishes Megan with your injured knee. It was nice to meet you and your Sicialian Prince in person at arvo tea at ours a year ago. Some good people still on Catallaxy and hooray for those with the will to persevere against the unrelenting agenda and rule-setting by some mobbsters, a will to persevere which I lack. Happy New Year to those who remember the best of times here and who still hold the fort.

A lager from the past. My old uncle Pat drank nothing else.
I just checked the net, it’s back baby!
Why?
How long do you think you have left to live?
Wot the doc said.

Where are the other ‘camps’ being built?
Because the one in Darwin, the one used with absolutely no complaints by Olympic athletes and footballers and cricketers and normal people, and the one that restrains its occupants by virtue of a seven foot chain gate with no barbed wire and stepladders next to it was a FIFO camp for years. It’s so critically overpowering that you can sneak bottles of vodka into them, skol them and die.
Much like Wagnerville, it is owned by a prominent local developer making squillions off Gummint for the lease.
No, I am not fond of them or anything to do with them. But no, they are not concentration camps, and it is a stupid cranked-out useless evocation to refer to them as such.
The footage of what the police are doing in Germany is chilling.
For a country that makes it compulsory for school kids to visit a concentration camp, their lack of historical awareness is astounding.
I think the theory that Wagners are building a “multi-purpose quarantine” facility, fully funded by Anastasia as a “FU ScoMo” project, and which might be magically re-purposed into something of commercial value in a few months time is on the money.

(No blockquote so I can bold).
So.
The magic sweet-spot number for resistance was between 10% and 20%.
That is, twenty percent resistance would have killed it, but they won the day when it got to 90% compliance?
Do you think that if it started to tail off at 75% – 76%, they would have put the cue in the rack?
Well, thank you for that. For some reason I feel squamish about the internal dosing. Silly, I suppose, since I recall there was a syrup form, I think, for kids with worms. Not that anything like that or Stromectol, has been available since before early 2020.

With respect rickw, I doubt it.

Dunno.
Unions around aviation circles probably remember 1989.
If it is declared an emergency, game over.
Clive’s flunkies probably have looked at my social media where responses to the likes of Megan today can be noted.
However, over the years, I never thought I would be applying for candidacy, of which I was told I was shortlisted.
I am positive it was most likely my social media comments that got me booted.
What else would it be?
I’m a marvellous public speaker and look great in a suit.
Yes, it’s true, I wouldn’t be a diversity pick but looking at the standard of blubber at the top, thought I might be in for a chance……………………………
The point is I put in for it and along with all I have been doing up here locally is as much as I can do.
So I am a member of UAP for now, support Craig Kelly.
Of course that makes me one of Bosi’s people.
FMD.
But by Christ the precedents set have been bloody awful.
Maybe, but maybe not. I think that once the dust has settled, the general population’s assessment will be that government fucked up big time, and they were able to fuck up big time because they had so much power.
The Freedom and Liberty debate in Australia has always been somewhat esoteric, it isn’t anymore.
I think we are a bunch of compliant losers.
Australians are too rich & lazy to protest against anything.
With respect rickw, I doubt it.
EM is a large global corporate.
They would have flown some guys in from wherever to keep things rolling.
Melbourne Airport is the flagship of their remaining aviation operations. They don’t have a vast pool of expertise sitting elsewhere. They could possibly have managed to keep it rolling, but not without considerable difficulty and not if there was a similar level of non conformance at their terminals.
Australians are a decadent lot who love to virtue signal.
You do know that “shortlisted” is a polite word in HR world for “no fucking way, but let’s not piss people off”.
The other key phrase is “all candidates were of a very high quality, but the successful candidate was a better fit”.
Did they use that one too?
What on earth could be on there which might raise doubts?
Nowhere near 90%.
That’s just more lying propaganda.
Just enough jabbed that with media bullshit and enough on social media to seem that way.
Victoria wouldn’t have 90% at all.
Queensland has 1.5 million double jabbed out of 5 million….and that is according to the Queensland governments own figures.
Read the bullshit at the top and then go down to the doses given below.
Worse.
It’s failing.
Because the Anglophone nations and the West in general are being squeezed by other international powers who do not assume that the world around them comprises the contents of their arses.
Russian gas brinkmanship over continental Europe, the UK screwing up its own economy with Net Zero (and realising their terrible, self-inflicted bind) and the Chinese all but charging into a shooting war with, well, someone has folks looking up from their masks and orders from Pfizer to COONSOOM MOAR PRODUKT, PEASANTS! and pointing out how ridiculous it all is in the face of far bigger threats. Even muh climate change is collapsing.
You are clinging to your globalist takeover fantasy Struth, harder than the globalists themselves!
spam from Horseland!
mmmmmm horsepam…
***Jack Murphyism Intensifies***
Yep, Rick, have been taken all of that (except Quercetin, which I have only recently been able to obtain and anti-histamines as well. I believe that has kept us fairly well prepared. Actually, husband just commented this morning that he gets so many cuts, bruises etc on the farm, but they heal incredibly fast. It is the same for me – I took a slice out of the thin skin on my forearm recently…had to hold it together with a dressing…took it off after a day or two 7 the damn thing had knitted beautifully!
One of the benefits of Covid….it just may prolong our lives through better health – now, wouldn’t THAT be a hoot???
What about over-fuelling aircraft at Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide until it gets up to speed?
Domestic only.
That wouldn’t work for long haul international.
As I say, I am sure they war-gamed options.
I wouldn’t put to much on those that took the jab.
Although you might find some might have egged on the resistance, but next minute you find they have neatly snagged themselves a promotion out of it.
‘I am a marvellous public speaker and look great in a suit.’
Not very working class of you.
Armani suits do not disguise D Grade soapboxery.
You won’t define who’s going to run the country after the Struth-olution, other than to suggest it would be The People.
Headed by you, of course. As part of The Committee. The doctrine: ‘Resist exactly the way we tell you, or you’re for the block.’
Same. (South of Horsham)
Also had my first breakdown for the season. Thankfully not a biggie.
Need to find somewhere for a long session, this year can get f**cked.
@ Mole-
There was a glorious IKEA meatball joke that went begging there.
I am now about 3 out of 4 sad…
(And now I have a craving for meatballs… QUICK! TO THE IKDEA AT INNALOO!!1!)
#BaddalaBaddalaBaaa!
As has been pointed out several times, also be sure to read the bit where it says the vax dose numbers shown are only those administered by the Qld State Government and exclude doses administered by the Commonwealth and private providers.
Providence might have it that vic has run out of money for camps.
I follow comedian Kurt Metzger on social media.
Since COVID began, he’s let himself go & shaved his head & grown a beard.
Unfortunately, people are confusing him with Jack Murphy.
As he’s a talented comic, he’s leaning into it.
The truth, dick head.
You know, like Bosi talking about Pedos.
He’s right in many areas on that, but you don’t mention it if you want to win in politics.
There’s too many people like you who can’t handle the truth.
He lost me by mentioning it, although it is probably the truth.
I knew he couldn’t win.
If I wanted a career in politics when I made all my remarks about women, and all the other things I have said, I would not have said them.
I stand by them none the less.
I love women.
Especially naked ones.
Exhibit A : Ricardo.
And think about what you are saying there.
Either they know the overall doses given or they don’t.
“An almost 40 year-old interview with an ex-KGB Defector, Yuri Bezmenov, has re-emerged and is going viral. Why is it going viral now? Del sits down with the journalist who conducted that interview, G. Edward Griffin, for a deep dive into the Russian spy’s extraordinary warning to the American people in 1984, and why this warning must be heeded today.”

I do hope you all have a wonderful 2022. Won’t be easy, but could still be very fulfilling.
That was roughly the percentage wearing their masks in public the first time around. And approximately the percentage currently wearing masks in the local IGA.
Maybe north Queenslanders are tougher than us out west.
‘There’s too many people like you that can’t handle the truth.’
This gets better and better. He’s Colonel Nathan R. Jessup now.
Delusions of adequacy.

I demand respect for my selfless act of restraint considering what I could have posted instead.
Its very much in the “well that was unexpected” especially the first vid recommended.

‘I look great in a suit.’
That’s what the reworked Albanese thought.
And which areas would they be?
Don’t be shy, oh brave road-warrior.
Name names.
‘If I wanted a career in politics when I made all my remarks about women, and all the other things I have said, I would not have said them.’
Then wanted a career in politics. Brilliant.
If only we had a correspondent in the Woomba who could nip (no pun intended) over to those Wagner camps and check them out first hand. An MX5 would be ideal.
No idiot.
They are reporting their state numbers only, and they say so.
They may well know what the grand total is, but they explicitly state that they are not included on that webpage.
You pick up the numbers as Gospel, then avoid using the clear written explanation of what the numbers actually mean.
How many bread deliveries do you get wrong on a daily basis?
Roughly.
Ten?
Fifteen?
More?
My Feelings Don’t Care For Your Facts!
– Struth, 2021 (Paraphrased and Colourised)
Arky says: I think some horrible hippy chick teacher had us sing that early in primary school. I have disturbing memory fragments of a record player on the netball court and a half remembered long haired figure in a floral dress.
Obviously a case for compensation.
As was the vanilla milk left in the sun in crates which we were forced to drink at recess.
And you always had it. 🙂
I’ve been dining out (Whinny!) on the IKEA horsemeat gag since 2012.
OK, now that is glorious…
Hermetically sealed, of course. 🙂
Can someone explain the dissing that has been going on about Ric Bosi? I haven’t followed and don’t get it. Last time I followed his comments was on the old blog. He then left and I lost touch with his views.
The government’s intentions won’t be known till after the election, regardless of which branch of the uniparty takes control, so I’m keeping my optimism on ice till mid next year.
That’s right, scratch and sniffers.
The Queensland government has all the figures in from the Chemists and the feds and every meat head sticking the clot shot into people.
They would barely know who is up their own arses and who is paying the rent.
They only have their own figures and the rest is none verifiable and complete bullshit.
Their own are probably bullshit.
I have a dream,….one day I’ll live in a country where gullible fuckers stop thinking the government is honest, competent, and has their best interest at heart.
Your responses to Calli, Megan and others today and previously, Struth, very loudly and obviously declare otherwise…
Please give your readers some credit. Who wouldn’t tick that box ahead of the rustproofing?
You’re already there, spacktard.
You just don’t like the fact that these other people aren’t you…
#Monoculture
Makes your dismissal even more idiotic.
I dunno. The soft-top option gave me concerns…
Struth
How’s the furniture factory going?
Fear of terrible, stinging pains in the hip pocket and the prospect having the Comrades at WorkSafe Viktoristan set on them has a mightily focussing effect on any business organisation, Calli…
I think it says far more about the culture of bureaucratic hyper-regulation of nearly all aspects of life, than an indictment on the tolerant and patient Australian psyche…
Wagners are not the pure god fearing types they like to portray themselves as. Anna got played yet again as have numerous public figures have previously. There’s a few developers that are experts in Queensland in this field.
Hey but they did push through Wellcamp despite opposition and built it quicker than I have seen anything done in a long time. They are very well connected and ruthless. Probably why they are loaded.
32 degrees last time I looked at our gauge in the NSW Central Tablelands, but now feels like 35 or more. Husband finished slashing for the day & is griping about a fence wire he picked up again. Grandson & his mates cooling off in the creek which has nice amount of water that has cleared up since the rain.

Like I said (and Struth didn’t like)-
If you can call a transient accommodation camp for future expansion a ‘Quarantine Centre’ to bypass some of the usual limitations and bureaucratic Planning Department inertia, then you do. And you graciously accept the extra panic-money you get paid to build the thing.
Selleys and a tube gun. Make sure you let it dry before you drive off.
Yes you are…
Wasn’t Bosi posting on the old Cat as Potemkin’s Village?
In April 1943 she began plotting the course of a convoy known as ONS-5, a slow-moving group whose protection included a destroyer manned by her fiancé, John Lamb.
The next month, May 1943, became known as “Bloody May”, when the Germans lost 41 U-Boats, around a quarter of the operational force. A crew member lost with one was the son of Doenitz, commander of the U-Boat force.

I guess I was following a different tack.
Having had some exposure to Exxon over the journey, I judge them as not unlike many other corporates.

It’s still a sterile, soulless shithole, largely habited by overpaid bugmen. Covid hasn’t done anything to warm it’s icy heart.
To add insult to injury, it’s only redeeming feature (the AWM) is a write off for three years. Had an Indian security guard inform me that I wasn’t allowed in unless I booked a 2-hour session well in advance. Places are apparently limited. Being turned away from my War Memorial in broken English was a new and novel experience.
Just a heads up for those not aware. My stop over in Canberra was a WOFTAM.

OK.
He started out as a fairly solid social conservative (or at least projected that image).
As I said, the first orange light for me was his abusive rant at some lefty dweeb.
What concerned me most is that it looked more like a set-up ritual bashing done to please the disciples.
Then he posted a video, of which the first two minutes seemed rational, but then he suddenly flipped the switch to full red-shoe pizzagate pedos in tunnels.
More recently he had an appearance via Zoom before a magistrate in Adelaide for some Covid reg breach.
He went full Sov-Cit declaring “you have no standing” and predicting “big calamities” for the magistrate six days hence if he “did not repent”.
At day six, nothing happened.
The magistrate turned him off halfway.
A total nut-job.
But he looks good in a suit.
FMD!
Bosi posted as “Potemkin’s Village”?
Really?
That explains a lot.
The stock market is telling us it believes the Omni isn’t a huge worry. The indices are back close to their highs. I bought some ETFs when the market panicked and took a big dip. Yes, I said I was in earlier comments from a few weeks ago.
I’m keeping this shit as I think we’re going higher into next month.
Can’t back a trailer? Put shit on a truck driver. You’ll feel much better.
Thanks Chen!
I hope you die a merciful death when your usefulness expires and the party considers you a liability.
Oh Okay, thanks Sanchez. I lost touch when he took off because his wife became quite ill. I think that was some years ago.
Zerohedge is bearish.
What fucks me off on this covid shit is it seems to me that only western nations (especially the english speaking ones) have banned ivermectin & hcq usage.
When you read about their usage in India, Indonesia & Japan they have good evidence of working very well.
For us they stop their usage & insist on a jab that every day seems to prove more they are not only useless but dangerous too.
I am unjabbed & will remain that way.
I hate the political class in this country.
Even the lyin’ cheatin’ government numbers tell us it is a nothing burger.
I wasn’t allowed in unless I booked a 2-hour session well in advance
Seriously! … you have to BOOK to visit the War Memorial …… Another victim of BAT FLU .. so little to do in Canberra with QR, masks & lockdowns that the local folk have taken to mobbing the WM just to get out of the house …….. then again, I did read they’ve closed the MINT to visitors as well sooo they’ve gotta go somewhere ………
Thankfully, I’m too old now to miss the, obvious, lack of, rip-roaring, social amenities available in the Nation’s capital .. maybe the bonfire(s) around Parliament House can add fireworks as an added attraction … LOL!
That’s a bloody lot of choked turtles.
You underestimate my skills Ba ba ba Bundy.
I have a black belt in reversing of trailers.
As for putting shit, well it flies around here in multiple directions.

Biggles, what the fuck are you on about now?
Go back to dribbling over angry rex & his choo choo you complete prick.
Putting aside the crazy shit for a moment, this bloke ran for AC in 2019, so he has been at this for a few years.
His “policies” are no more than a grab bag of motherhood statements which are very light on detail.
This screams grift to me.
The other thing is, his published CV is featherweight light since leaving the ADF.
A couple of attempts at commercial ventures attracting OPM, which failed for “a variety of reasons” but were “valuable learning experiences”.
Great.

Shame. Big Australia means fewer and fewer amenities spread over more and more people.
There must be an up side. But I can’t see it.

Is this an episode of Russell Quoit’s Outback Adventures?
Even Mrs Mater made an un-elicited comment about what a compliant mob Canberrans are.
She noted the high proportion of middle aged white men running around with their phones, logging every QR code they could see. Likened it to a bunch of kids collecting Pokémons.
I wouldn’t take Canbra as a representative cross-section of Straya.
AOC loves masks & NY so much she’s just been photographed sans mask in Florida.
It doesn’t matter.
She has a job for life until she upsets the DNC establishment who’ll run a faker, newer candidate in a primary against her.
Considering the ratio of Indian volunteers to Australia serviceman in WWII it’s probably ok to have an Indian presence at the AWM.
Are you feeling terribly inadequate for some reason, Dribbles?
Go move some real tonnage, with decent air conditioning and a nice place to go home to. It’ll cheer you right up… 🙂
Given that many a tourist will turn up expecting to be allowed to visit the memorial (a high proportion of local citizens, given the current circumstances), I’d venture to suggest that someone who can explain the situation clearly, and without coming across as dismissive, might be recommended. It’ll be a touchy issue with many, as it was with myself.
Tell us more. I didn’t know about this.

Calli, the Indian participation in WWII is an unknown to most Australians as the participation of the French at Gallipoli is.
Can someone explain the dissing that has been going on about Ric Bosi?
From what Ive gleaned the poor bloke was wrecked by the Cormann party fiasco.
He then went down the Annie rabbithole of kiddie fiddlers and political corruption.
Easy to see how you would form the lowest possible opinion of pollies after the (with retrospect) obvious setup by the Libs to capture disaffected voters via a 3rd party scam. (preference funneling).
Hopefully the poor bugger will recover.
as unknown
not an unknown
Too much Rumsfeld.
Even if you get in, what can you REALLY achieve in the AWM in two hours before they kick you out?
Old bloke:
The end is coming, Old Bloke. Our Lords and Masters are at the stage where the smart ones realise the game is up and seek to extricate themselves with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of cover up.
The authoritarians haven’t yet come to that conclusion and will double down when they are challenged.
No matter what, our L&M are seeing themselves exposed as the vermin they are.
Indian Army strength in Wobbly Wobbly 11 peaked at over three million men – the largest all volunteer force in history.
Incredible. Imagine someone coming into your office looking for money and his enormous ears flap back and forth as he makes it through the office door. Would you lend the idiot any money? He’s a pureblood in the purest sense as there would be at least 5 generations of QLD inbreeding going on there. I wonder if he’s related to Ted?
The knowledge that the jab isn’t good for you angwy wex…your mistake, too bad so sad.
Did I misinterpret sumfink?
Nuffink.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison revealed the day-six RAT test would no longer be required if the COVID case was asymptomatic.
The comedy side of this.
West Mongstralia still has them banned because “scienceism” reigns supreme.
So we have the Eastern States apparently crawling with filthy, filthy diseased plebs using a RAT which is banned in the pure bodily fluids West.
So which is science and which is political theatre?
Who is making shit up and who is following advice?
They cant both be right.

I haven’t been in since about 2012, for a Respiratory Medicine Convention dinner held in the shadow of G-George and the Midget Sub. And before that was about 2008 or 9 while at or passing through Canberra for a GRES training activity. I’d like to go in again some time…
What’s McGowan going to do when the punters want to start going overseas?
More so, does this mean that if you have a pre-existing infection that you get a vax pass as defined by a self administered test? Loophole!

Happy New Year to you and yours Lizzie. Miss your comments. I don’t care what people say about me, never have. I know about me and those close to me. When I’m wrong I like to be corrected with what is right not just called a poobum. If people can’t correct me I must be right. I hope your health has picked up though you do sound a bit world weary as a lot of us are.
I didn’t see it that way.
Two of the usual suspects jumped in (Greta Boomer and Breadvan Man) but there was a general ‘live and let live’ response, I think.

Generally those who spout that line are just bullies looking to kick someone.

I figured you indeed were the ‘too bad, so sad’option, Shit Dribbler.
You Lord and Master, the Mighty Road Warrior-Troubador copped a self-inflicted pasting this morning and has retired in a huff.
You tend to pop up in his wake and anklebite ineffectually at random folks until you think you’ve fulfilled your duty and then slink away yourself.
Hey Casey Jones if you are dumb enough to believe the Australian taxpayer or the Australian government owns the RBA then you are dumber than a box of rocks.
Do some research you thick fucker…
Calli, the Indian participation in WWII is an unknown to most Australians as the participation of the French at Gallipoli is.
I’m aware of the Indian numbers & sacrifices in WW1 & 2 but never, ever, heard of the French at Gallipoli before .. I had to google to got this ….
With almost the same number of soldiers as the Anzacs – 79,000 – and similar death rates – close on 10,000 – French participation in the Gallipoli campaign could not occupy a more different place in national memory.
Happy new year Lizzie, to you and Hairy!

Ted
I’ll believe whatever you want me to believe. If you want me believe your brother Lex owns the RBA, then I believe you.
Whoops- I seem to have hit a merve about the sycophant and his half-hearted anklebiting after his thought-leader Struth retires butthurt, folks…
Mmmyes.
Even after it went splat, one of his offsiders was saying what a great success it was, to grow from nothing to a $5 billion dollar black hole in ten years.
Yep.
Top effort.
Casey, be honest then, proclaim on this site who runs the RBA.
GO!!
Also, Casey Jones is a pretty big deal in railroading folklore, Runnybum.
Thanks for the compliment and respectful gesture… 🙂
Helped put G for George in place. You know it was quite capable of flying until the useless effin female conservators cut the electrical loom out of it. They were so hopeless they thought having paintings instead of artifacts was better coz those artifacts were used to kill people.
Well. Let me get into the spirit of things here.
