I wonder if the ABC will do the follow up show in around 10 or so years’ time when Ellie’s Y chromosome puberty has kicked its way past the hormone blockers and Ellie realises that getting “her” dick chopped off wasn’t a good idea.
I don’t think that “Their” ABC has yet done a follow up on the “heart warming” story of two homosexuals adopting a boy, then ending up in jail for abusing the poor tot. Nor have they ever expressed regret for the show in 1975, when Richard Neville interviewed three self-admitted pedo files on one of their radio shows. (The tape was deleted, and no report was made to the Police. Cover-up at official level?)
So, the short answer is “Not bloody likely”.

My all time favourite Last Word is from W.C. Fields. Although the telling of it varies slightly through the years, this is pretty much how it went down.
Fields was Fowler’s favorite self-destroyer. No man ever worked so patiently at wrecking his soul and body as did this prince of comedians. A Mississippi of gin sluiced through him in his declining years.
Fowler visited his ailing crony shortly before his death. He found Fields sitting in the garden reading the Holy Bible. “I’m looking for loopholes,” Bill explained, shyly.

My wife and I got the Rona over Christmas. I am 50 and she is 45 and it was very mild. I had a slight dry cough one night. The next night I had some shivering as if from a low grade fever. I woke up the next day with very mild sniffles and that was it. Wife had a day feeling tired and the sniffles, maybe a bit of a headache in there. We had both basically fully recovered before our positive tests came back. We had both done the 14 days close contact isolation, 2 x rounds each of casual contact already since August. We are done with it. This nonsense has to stop. It is now totally ridiculous. Now they say symptoms come on much more quickly and you are actually most infectious in the 2 days before you even have symptoms.- so QED you are passing on the virus without any idea. There is no way to stop this virus, and given how mild it is there is no reason to have any measures at all. Stop testing. If you get a cold assume its Covid, stay at home and call 000 on the off chance you get very sick. When I was in close contact isolation in September I was on the list at the local police station. They would park out the front and call and I would have to open the front door and wave at them to prove compliance. Frankly, that part horrified me… Seriously!!

Everybody owes all those unvaccinated Africans a whole lot of thanks.
It’s through them that the natural course of virus mutations into even greater nothingburgers than the original one, is happening and so causing our retarded governments and their monomaniacal enforcers to lose their minds “This can’t happen yet! We’ve got 280 million doses of this shit to pump into them! Get it onto the street before they find out it’s just a runny nose!”.
The official government messaging is that the vaccine saved everyone from omicron but you have to get another does of the vaccine to save you from omicron because two wasn’t enough to ‘protect’ against omicron.
Gaslighting taking to Soviet levels.
People’s minds are breaking all over the place over this sort of rank manipulation and psychological abuse. But simultaneously lots of people are waking up and refusing to mask, etc. Big societal separation happening which is now visible to the naked eye in public. It won’t end well.
I wasn’t referring to this doxxing incident, Matrix, let’s put that improper invasion of privacy behind us, for that is all it was. The name was swiftly removed while the comment was left fairly intact and no harm was done. I was simply observing that a genuine certifiable copy of a comment, especially one on a public site, could be used in a Court of Law, as could any emails or other supoena’d witness statements concerning the documented comment. We’ve seen this sort of thing dredged up by lefties against those on the right previously. I seem to recall cases that even involved anonymous comments.
Hence, everyone should take care with commenting if they put their real name to something. In proposed legislation currently in progress to curb social media, which some approve of but which I find a disturbing development, charges can be laid if people use an anonymous blog name to say something about a real person which that person finds objectionable. I doubt if the Cat will really be in the line of fire here, but one can never tell. Plenty of lefties wanted to take down Sinc’s Cat.

And China, despite PF’s best efforts to sabotage growth, could be interesting:
Yet she is not dead. To my mind (and no other rules this Idleblog), the magnificent positives of the Confucian tradition are still accessible to some men; still comprehensible to them. The possibility of recovery is not quite extinguished. And my sense is that this — not foreign, in the end, but universal — “Thomist” or Catholic account of “the things of Heaven,” is the very stimulant that could raise what is most admirable in that “Confucian” or Chinese tradition out of its apparent grave.
A Catholic Christian China would, in this sense, become more, not less, “Chinese.” Her own Confucian tradition, wise and penetrating the heart of man, would be appreciated more, not less.
https://www.davidwarrenonline.com/2014/12/12/thirteenthing-china/

If it is a standalone keyboard and not a laptop then
The backspace and enter keys can be tricky to put back on HP keyboards.
Options:
1. Buy a Dell keyboard. They are cheaper and better.
2. Get a can of compressed air , some shops sell it as a keyboard cleaner. The air drys things out and sometimes even blows the bits of food and tobacco out from underneath the keys.
Thanks, Rambler. Further advice welcome.

The other interesting about the contact pinging is it gives a map of how widespread the thing is in the local area.
Here, it’s everywhere, right across the district from the Terrace to Fingal. In other words, it has got clean away and uncontainable. Nothing will stop it apart from a brisk walk along the beach on a blowy day.
If the incessant pinging doesn’t wake the locals up, nothing will.

Hmmm yes. But what about iniquity?
With the rise in COVID cases, the 6-month COVID-exemption is likely to be disallowed since the exemption would undermine any push for the booster. Let’s see. Meantime I hope the many COVID cases know they have that 6 month exemption option for either the first, second, or third etc jab.
‘Forget about it now, there’s a good lad. It doesn’t matter’
Well it mattered enough for you to go on about it for the past six hours.
You claimed to have remembered something, couldn’t find it, threw some shade cloth over it, invoked the name of the ex-blog owner and finished with a lecture.
Just forget about it, toots. Dance it away.
That is a cut and paste from Sinc’s blog.
I claim no ownership.
Lizzie.
Let’s just assume the screenshot passes muster as “evidence”.
What is it evidence of, precisely?
What crime was committed?
Or, if not criminal action, what civil action would arise?
What loss or damage has been suffered by you and/or Hairy?
Yes, Johanna has said some horrid things to you and about you (and you have returned serve).
Insults and hurty feelings alone do not a court case make.
You want to sue be prepared to have every aspect of your own life exposed.
That’s if you can find a lawyer dumb enough to such try over such trivialities.
Bluff?
I think the perfect way to end this discussion would be an exchange of scented candles.
You do know that everyone knows that the whole ‘PizzaGate’ thing was a set up by Nonce Networks to try to make normies believe there are no Nonce Networks and so silence any discussion of them by simply crying, “Pizza!”, don’t you.
Makes me wonder why you’re so wedded to perpetuating it.
I’ll be interested to find out if any of those at least five deaths/murders of girls used as child sex slaves, include at least two who were found beheaded, and that MSM didn’t give diddly squat about.
Anyway my main point is that any time I see or hear anyone cry, “Pizza!” etc. I know they must know that Nonce’s love their smoke blowing.
Casual sex. The sort that ends with a meh? You mean there is a different kind?
And have people on the periphery dragged in.

Bruce of Newcastle, Timothy Neilson, Johanna, Baba; & others who read their comments:
Dr. Raquel Peel, pronounced Hackel Pill (I kid you not) has an unusual backstory.
She was abandoned at birth – left on the steps of a hospital.
The neo-natal nurse who saved her later adopted her.
She came to Australia by the sounds generated by “Silverchair” (apparently a pop group of some sort)
Now she lives in Brisbane/Ipswich (depending which online bio you choose) with her cats, dogs (house breeds) & a husband she picked up here.
She’s a “TED speaker” (whatever that is, the only “Ted” I know is Teddy Bear) & is on the social studies grift at the University of Southern Queensland* as a “lecturer & emerging researcher” in relationships.
*the former “Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education”, location: Toowoomba.
Sorry, shoulda mentioned, Dr. Hackel Pill was a Brazilian orphan.
You bet! all exchanges not just a select few.
🙂
As regular readers know, I’m quite often absent because of having a life for a day or three. No need to fabricate an excuse for absence here. Nobody cares – why should they?
I suppose that if I flounced, nobody would notice. 🙂
Am currently in charge of a portion of the motel garden. Miniature Agapanthus are blooming, and I am hacking back at the dreaded creeping fig. This thing, which is apparently 40 years old, is a fucking Triffid. Tendrils got under a metre long concrete pot with soil and plants in it, and now the pot is lifted off its base by about a couple of centimetres. I doubt if any human could lift this pot.
Most people seem to be relieved about the loosening of restrictions here, but there are always the neurotics and Karens who cross the street if you are not wearing a mask. I give them a friendly wave as they go.
When I was briefly a Pube in Canberra in the 1970s, the women doing unskilled jobs like tealadies in the PS or cleaners at university colleges were Spanish and called Maria.
Nowadays they are Filipanas and have a bigger range of names – I am speaking of the motel cleaners.
It is hard physical work, including cleaning up some revolting messes, and purists who think that desperate people should be allowed to be paid five dollars an hour for this get no sympathy from me.
Yep, Sancho. ‘You lot’. The itchy finger brigade whenever my name is mentioned. 19 of them on KD’s comment.
Of course they are ‘you lot’. I don’t feel kindly towards them. Or the 47 last night. Very miffed I was. 🙂
They should just scroll instead. And Bespoke going on about Hairy’s lack of probity, dark Labor, and me dark Feminist. oooh. Spooky. Very spooky. But we were the goodies then. As Hairy told Rabz, the last time he voted Labor was in the Hawke days when he voted for himself. After helping to get rid of thugs Tommy Domikin and Joe Meissner in the Baldwin clean-up, we moved to the suburbs for our last gasp at Labor politics, quitting after receiving Paul Keating’s telegram of congratulation for the team.
One thing I learned was that a Federal candidates’ wife, no matter how unlikely he is to win, has to listen politely to those electors who saw the candidate as their personal conduit to ‘Hawkie’. I heard so many of the ‘my problems with Medicare’ type of plaints and did my best to assure that we would help fix things. As I’ve told Tinta, the most distressing part was hearing the tales of parents of severely disabled chidren, in a forum that nearly broke my heart. The great pity is that the NDIS still doesn’t meet the needs of these people while it is being rorted by those who need little help.
A pic of Peter Baldwin’s injuries and the back story of them is here.
Sinc, btw, was a far more prolific feature on the ABC than Hairy ever was; Hairy pissed on them mightily after they tried (mostly failed) to crucify him in the 1990’s. He dropped all invited commenting on The Conversation then too. As I said in my recent article, like many others at that time, we changed.
Let’s not forget who brought the word “actionable” to this blog (and it’s predecessor blogs).
Yes.
Faulty.
As I said the other day, if you are joining a club which consists of yourself and Faulty, it’s hall of mirrors time.
I share your worry about grandkids getting the jab Lizzie.
Luckily, the son and DiL who just a few short weeks ago were pro-vaxx, pro booster, pro kids jab are slowly seeing the light.
Why? Personal experience.
Both got very mild covid and the NSW regulations caused much heartache in shutting down Christmas and birthday celebrations. Then their 6-y-o received a positive result with the only symptoms being very minor and very short lived, but yet more holiday plans were thrown into disarray.
Now they have deferred their booster shots to an indefinite time and won’t book the 2 kids in for jabs unless it becomes a government mandate. The way they are moving their thinking even mandatory jabs for kids will become a bridge too far for them.
Funny how “RWNJ” sites have been ignored by so many for so long yet once experience bites them on the bum they suddenly get well read. Hopefully that will become a society-wide phenomenon.

Lizzie at 9.20: The time date itself would enable any serious researcher to access the old blog files and find the original comment where it stood with an obvious redaction of Hairy’s name, made by Sinc. Cassie’s original alert to me possibly also contains a hard copy of the comment itself: I haven’t checked that in the heaps of emails I exchange with Cassie on all sorts of topics and meet ups, no need to make it all a Federal case. My kindest interpretation is that Johanna simply forgot she made this comment. It happens.
Let’s move on now.
Dot and KD were 100% right. What Lizzie has actually proffered would be totally inadmissible in Court as “evidence” that Johanna had sent such a post. Lizzie’s mere assertion that it could lead to “the original comment” likewise is, in itself, inadmissible as to the existence of such a comment let alone the content of the comment.
[Note also “let’s move on” – Lizzie’s code word for “STFU and let me have the last word”, as exemplified by her current behaviour on this thread.]
Lizzie has now referred to:
A photo grab of half a page of Sinc’s blog including the words of other commenters and the offending item doxxing Hairy by name. It is all very well located datewise and would pass any test of authenticity.
It’s not clear whether she’s claiming to have it, or just saying that if she did have it, it would be evidence that Johanna had made the post. The former wouldn’t be “evidence” of the existence or content of the post.
As to the latter, well, Lizzie had previously stated that the name had been redacted, which would make it a bit difficult to use the photo grab as “evidence” that Johanna had published the actual Name That Is Too Holy To Be Mentioned. It could easily be objected that what was redacted wasn’t the Name, but some bogus name like “Mr Hugh G Rection”.*
But if Lizzie actually does have a photo grab of such a half page, and it shows the True Name, and someone can swear an affidavit authenticating that it is in fact a true copy of the online content (and how it is that they know that), then that would indeed be evidence.
* A thousand apologies if this is in fact the True Name. I assure you, that’s just a Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency type co-incidence.
Oh, Jesus wept.

Just read something from a guy from the John Curtin research centre in Teh Paywallian. Anybody know what % of the UAP Primary Vote flows back to the Coalition as preferences?
Yep!
I was there when a Troop Sergeant came into our office, saw the wrappers and cartons from the mornings breakfast sitting on his desk, and screeched:
“FFS, my desk is not a rubbish bin!”
A roster was then promptly written up to ensure someone turned up early every morning to fill his desk drawers with rubbish from the various bins around the place. It continued for quite some time. He even came to see the funny side of it…eventually.
Similarly, upon hearing a rendition of ‘Murder of the Dancefloor’ (Sophie Ellis-Bextor) on the radio, one bloke announced:
“Fuck I hate this song!”
From thence on, upon answering a call on his phone, he would regularly be met with nothing more than a recording of…(I’ll let you guess!).
Another bloke mouthed off about “fucking Stonecutters!”. He promptly and mysteriously ended up on the Masonic Lodge mailing list.
Never let them see you bleed, Lizzie!

I had to drive up there recently. Like all of our non inner city tertiary institutions it looks like a luxury holiday resort.
Why, may one ask, does the taxpayer pay for world class sporting venues at universities?
Surely it would be better for society if the dyke sports things joined community sports clubs rather than perpetuate their fetid cabals.
How do Australian Universities get to spend millions on cycling – where does that fit into the advanced education spectrum.
Don’t get me started or I’ll start asking why we fund orchestras and ballet but not rock bands.
Bear, wouldn’t UAP have to preference the Coalition on their How-tos for it to have any meaning – outside of individual voter preferences anyway? I can’t see them doing that, but if they did – then they lose my vote!
Rubbish I can see the glow in the sky from here. If Numbers could hear the bombing in Cambodia from Vietnam how can anyone disagree?

I got the spoon treatment once from the local Q Corporal (cheeky bugger and good mate, he was) in Armidale when I went to pop the flag one morning at the beginning of the Depot’s working day, and the flag rope was smeared with honey the next.
So the third day following, young Trooper Anger was sent out to fetch the staff’s coffees. The Q fellow in this case had ordered a large Hot Chocolate. As I completed the order and got everything packed away, I had a semi-innocuous brainwave. Chilli goes well with Chocolate, I think. And I had seen a bottle of Tabasco in the mess cupboards. The plot was afoot.
It was a quick job to adulterate the brew, but the payoff was not for another half hour. By which time I was sweeping out a Hangar, and the TSM and Q Corporal were touring the hardstand in front of me.
Q Corporal took a sip, and I was treated to a display of spit and exclamations worthy of Looney Tunes. Spotting the culprit was easy-I was laughing so hard, I had to use my broom handle to stay upright.
And that was that. 🙂
Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!
