In the document, Ms Giuffre, also referred to by her unmarried name Roberts, agreed to “release, acquit, satisfy, and forever discharge” Epstein and “any other person or entity who could have been included as a potential defendant”.

The settlement’s wording says she discharges “potential defendants” from any US legal action, including damages claims dating “from the beginning of the world”.

In proposed legislation currently in progress to curb social media, which some approve of but which I find a disturbing development, charges can be laid if people use an anonymous blog name to say something about a real person which that person finds objectionable. I doubt if the Cat will really be in the line of fire here, but one can never tell. Plenty of lefties wanted to take down Sinc’s Cat.

With the rise in COVID cases, the 6-month COVID-exemption is likely to be disallowed since the exemption would undermine any push for the booster. Let’s see. Meantime I hope the many COVID cases know they have that 6 month exemption option for either the first, second, or third etc jab.

One thing I learned was that a Federal candidates’ wife, no matter how unlikely he is to win, has to listen politely to those electors who saw the candidate as their personal conduit to ‘Hawkie’. I heard so many of the ‘my problems with Medicare’ type of plaints and did my best to assure that we would help fix things. As I’ve told Tinta, the most distressing part was hearing the tales of parents of severely disabled chidren, in a forum that nearly broke my heart. The great pity is that the NDIS still doesn’t meet the needs of these people while it is being rorted by those who need little help.

Sinc, btw, was a far more prolific feature on the ABC than Hairy ever was; Hairy pissed on them mightily after they tried (mostly failed) to crucify him in the 1990’s. I share your worry about grandkids getting the jab Lizzie.
Luckily, the son and DiL who just a few short weeks ago were pro-vaxx, pro booster, pro kids jab are slowly seeing the light.
Why? Personal experience.
Both got very mild covid and the NSW regulations caused much heartache in shutting down Christmas and birthday celebrations. Then their 6-y-o received a positive result with the only symptoms being very minor and very short lived, but yet more holiday plans were thrown into disarray.
Now they have deferred their booster shots to an indefinite time and won’t book the 2 kids in for jabs unless it becomes a government mandate. The way they are moving their thinking even mandatory jabs for kids will become a bridge too far for them.

Funny how “RWNJ” sites have been ignored by so many for so long yet once experience bites them on the bum they suddenly get well read. Hopefully that will become a society-wide phenomenon.

Lizzie at 9.20: The time date itself would enable any serious researcher to access the old blog files and find the original comment where it stood with an obvious redaction of Hairy’s name, made by Sinc. Cassie’s original alert to me possibly also contains a hard copy of the comment itself: I haven’t checked that in the heaps of emails I exchange with Cassie on all sorts of topics and meet ups, no need to make it all a Federal case. My kindest interpretation is that Johanna simply forgot she made this comment. It happens.
Let’s move on now.

Dot and KD were 100% right. What Lizzie has actually proffered would be totally inadmissible in Court as “evidence” that Johanna had sent such a post. Lizzie’s mere assertion that it could lead to “the original comment” likewise is, in itself, inadmissible as to the existence of such a comment let alone the content of the comment.
[Note also “let’s move on” – Lizzie’s code word for “STFU and let me have the last word”, as exemplified by her current behaviour on this thread.]

Lizzie has now referred to:
A photo grab of half a page of Sinc’s blog including the words of other commenters and the offending item doxxing Hairy by name. It is all very well located datewise and would pass any test of authenticity.
It’s not clear whether she’s claiming to have it, or just saying that if she did have it, it would be evidence that Johanna had made the post. The former wouldn’t be “evidence” of the existence or content of the post.
As to the latter, well, Lizzie had previously stated that the name had been redacted, which would make it a bit difficult to use the photo grab as “evidence” that Johanna had published the actual Name That Is Too Holy To Be Mentioned. It could easily be objected that what was redacted wasn’t the Name, but some bogus name like “Mr Hugh G Rection”.*
But if Lizzie actually does have a photo grab of such a half page, and it shows the True Name, and someone can swear an affidavit authenticating that it is in fact a true copy of the online content (and how it is that they know that), then that would indeed be evidence.

* A thousand apologies if this is in fact the True Name. I assure you, that’s just a Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency type co-incidence.
