Labor had something similar happen on their watch;
Remember UteGate, the Godwin Grech Affair?
Basically, a Public Servant in Canberra became aware of dodgy shit involving the Rudd Government.
He took the evidence to Mal Turnbull, who made a complete meal of it, like someone guessing a Coin Toss wrong 25 times in a row.
The Labor Government response?
ASIO kicking down doors at 4 a.m., Grech involuntarily detained in a Mental Hospital, the Murdoch Press tut-tutting about how Godwin Grech got it so wrong.
The truth was like Black Kryptonite for the MSM back then and nothing’s changed since.

I reckon if you pulled up all the visa paperwork for AO competitors and their entourages over the last decade a good third would be full of mistakes and ‘lies’, they were all just waved through in the past though. No, they’ve been given the OK to make example of Djokovic for base political purposes. The Czech girl was collateral damage, they’ll be trying to keep the spotlight very firmly on Djokovic going forward though.

Novak teams up with the tennis players’ union to get the AO officially renamed “Asia Pacific Open” …

Too late OSC.
The dim bulbs at AO already re-branded it as that a few years ago to be “more inclusive”, probably along Keating’s “we are part of Asia” fiction.
It has opened the door to it being pinched by an Asian city.

Hoping to head up the NSW from Vicco later this month. Will be interesting to see if it’s less up tight about the China bug. One thing I’ve noticed in the past, it’s much easier to bring your dog to places down here than in greater Sydney eg Everglades at Leura or Jenolan Caves. Dogs at the Lavender Farm at Hepburn or the You Yangs- no worries.

too much in NSW has been handed over to National Parks. They don’t want your dog (or ultimately you) in the areas they control.

The states are out of control, and Morrison is just sitting on his hands while the chaos ensues, allowing people’s jobs, livelihoods, rights, and freedoms to fall by the wayside while he uses their money to fight the wrong fight for all the wrong reasons.

It’s actually considerably worse. Morrison has actively facilitated the dissolution of the Federation by providing the political and economic infrastructure to support the Premier’s local Covid models, as well as by his personal weakness and lack of a clear plan.

Australia needed a lightning rod and a Swedish ‘protect the vulnerable’ but carry-on-as-near-to-normal strategy.

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/jan/14/getting-sterilised-to-save-the-planet-is-a-sad-but-understandable-choice

It is a tragedy that we have allowed our environmental crisis to go so far, so quickly, that it should influence any person’s choice regarding parenthood, but it is the reality we must all now live with.
….
Thank you for the sobering article about childless young men seeking vasectomies. These men are realistic about the future, and are therefore taking a wise step.

Original article here.
‘More people is the last thing this planet needs’: the men getting vasectomies to save the world

When Lloyd Williamson lay on his back in a GP’s clinic late last November, it was for the surgical culmination of years of soul searching. Williamson, who is 30 and from Essex, remembers wanting a family as a child, but something changed in his early 20s. “I thought: you know what? I don’t want to bring a life into this world, because it’s pretty shitty as it is and it’s only going to get worse,” he says, two weeks after his vasectomy.

Williamson was largely motivated to sterilise himself by the climate crisis.

Trump, you magnificent bastard!!!

For Nate Miller (not his real name), a 36-year-old from Colorado, the election in 2016 of Donald Trump, a climate science denier, was the clincher. “I made an appointment to get a vasectomy later that week,” he says.

….
cuck cuck b-cuuuuuck…

Vasectomies don’t necessarily preclude parenting. Rodney Pohl, 26, an IT technician, is planning to foster or adopt with his wife, Carrie, who watched Pohl’s vasectomy at the SimpleVas clinic near their home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, last June. The couple were motivated partly by weather extremes and what they foretold. A recent polar vortex had taken out the power on their street for 10 days. “We had neighbours breastfeeding small infants and we were sharing generators to try to keep their fridge going, to not waste [expressed] milk,” Pohl says.

Looking st the highlighted bit, its a sham they all didnt get chopped..
“Oh no its very cold and the power is out…. how will we keep this milk cold…….

Head Case.

Dr Pierre Kory is an incredibly well qualified Dr and Cardiologist who has been at the forefront of developing and implementing successful early treatment of Covid cases…. SUCCESSFUL treatment.

Instead of rejoicing at such successes, medical bureaucrats have been using spurious accusations to threaten the licences of Doctors who are saving lives. The process is the punishment, because a successful defence takes considerable time, effort and expense … for which the defendant is not compensated, regardless of their established innocence and competence.

It is the same in Australia. Even telling a sick patient that there are treatments for C19 is regarded as ”discouraging vaccination”. Do you understand? The “crime” is successfully treating sick people and saving lives

Like you, these bureaucrats and shills for big pharma contribute nothing, and can only validate their existence by trying to tear down those better than themselves.

As the saying goes though, “when life hands you lemons, make lemonade”. And that is exactly what I am doing. I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I have skills that will see me through. I will be self-sufficient for the most part, will spend time getting to know my new land and it getting to know me, and will come out of my exile when I, and I alone choose to.

A few weeks ago I read about the 2nd Independent Pack Company on the Kokoda track, employed to improve supply over the Owen-Stanleys. They, and their donkeys, were keeping up a long tradition:

Before horses, ass hybrids were bred for warfare (Phys.org, 14 Jan)

The 4,500-year-old iconography and texts from Mesopotamia show that the elite used equids for travel and warfare; however, the nature of these animals remained mysterious. In Science Advances (January 14, 2022), a team from the Institut Jacques Monod (CNRS/Université de Paris) used ancient DNA to show that these animals were the result of crossing domestic donkeys with wild asses. This makes them the oldest known example of animal hybrids, which were produced by Syro-Mesopotamian societies 500 years before the arrival of domestic horses in the region.

Equids have played a key role in the evolution of warfare throughout history. Although domesticated horses did not appear in the Fertile Crescent until about 4,000 years ago, the Sumerians had already been using equid-drawn four-wheeled war wagons on the battlefield for centuries, as evidenced by the famous “Standard of Ur,” a 4,500-year-old Sumerian mosaic.

Ass powered war wagons on the plains of Iraq? Sounds very Rumsfeldish.

Professors Tom Borody and Robert Clancy have published the results of a clinical trial of the use of Ivermectin Triple Therapy. Patients were treated after a positive PCR test.

THE OUTCOME
A total of 600 patients with positive PCR tests were treated with the ten-day course of “Ivermectin Triple Therapy” (ITT), which was fully completed in over 90% of those treated. None discontinued therapy as a result of drug side effects. Two visited the hospital for less than 24 hours following a transient arrhythmia and then went home, while five were admitted to hospital (0.83%). There were no deaths. In an equivalent control group of 600, not treated with triple therapy, 70 were admitted to hospital (11.5%), with 6 deaths (1%).

This is just one more trial showing that a drug which Doctors are not permitted to prescribe in Australia, shows a 90% effectiveness at reducing hospitalisation and 100% in reducing deaths from Covid.

When anyone tells you that the lockdowns are to stop the medical system from being overwhelmed, they are either lying or talking out their arse.

Ed…

They – multiple-qualified health workers with considerable experience and exemplary records, stated the following.

Life-threatening conditions developing immediately after vaccination, displaying symptoms known to be associated with vaccine side-effects and with no prior history in those patients, are deliberately being recorded as “cause unknown”.

Medical staff are refusing to record cases of this nature on the Vaccine Adverse-Effect database, because doing so results in being classified as an “anti-vaxxer”.

That adverse events appear to be more common and more severe amongst the young and fit.

That they can be forced to justify retaining their licence and employment for simply liking a pro vaccine-choice post on social media, reported by some spiteful, anonymous dobber.

We have exeptionally good reason to conclude that the risks of these vaccines are being under-reported and that people are dying as the result of being denied safe and effective treatment.

The Australian Department of Health also pointed out that Professor Borody’s Ivermectin Triple Therapy protocol has not been proven to be safe or effective against COVID-19.

There is currently insufficient evidence to support the safe and effective use of ivermectin, doxycycline and zinc (either separately, or in combination) for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19.

I saw that article, very interesting. It reminded me of a doco I was watching last week about Egypt. It explained something I never knew and obviously would never have occurred to me. We all believe that camels have been used there for millennia. As it turns out, not true. Camels have only been in use a couple or three hundred years, not even native to the area. It was the good old ASS, that was used for transporting people, goods, food, building supplies, everything that need to be moved. Egypt and its kingdoms were built on the back of an ASS!

Whoever it was, is it possible that Johanna’s “all mouth and no trousers” post at 2:22 a.m. struck a nerve?

The endless noise about “leaving this shithole” is somewhat reminiscent of the pathetic never-Trumpers in 2016, threatening to move to Canada or NZ or Mexico, but going nowhere.
I also agree that “this shithole” (even with it’s warts) may be as good or better than most of the other shitholes.
And I reject the proposition that “I could leave if I wanted to, but I can’t”. We established the other day (I forget who posted it) that you can leave Australia unvaxxed as long as you tick the box saying you will be away for three months or longer.
Tick that box and “change your mind” to permanent migration later.

In the final analysis, Alex Hawke wasn’t concerned about Djokovic bringing Covid into Australia, spreading it, or catching and suffering from it. [13]

Hawke essentially elected to boot Djokovic for being an notorious antivaxxer and disregarder of quarantine [22] – whose presence in Australia would be:

•1 A comfort to wicked antivaxxers;

•2 An obstruction to the Vax-hesitant;

•3 A discouragement to the Booster-reluctant;

•4 A trigger for “civil unrest” at ”unsettling” anti-vax rallies [34]; and

•5 The trigger for the risk of “adverse reaction” on the part of vaccinated citizens [35] and public criticism of the government at this “critical juncture”[36].

I feel a certain reserve for the interpretation when they use ‘latinx’, and the under/over representation criteria makes my skin crawl, but as you say it tells the story. Public Health as a field is hugely dominated by ambitious women, and they cast out people with unapproved ideas.

I don’t actually have a problem if a circle of fempersns chose to write papers on comparative care outcomes of premature newborns… it is at least as useful as a PhD on oxygen fugacity of mineralising fluids in Archaean gold deposits. But they also do the whole Karen thing on smoking, gun control, warmening and rough sports injuries… the Public Health Association has spent the last 40 years pretending to be Simon Chapman.

Under-reporting is to be expected when the government agency which approved and encouraged the use of the drugs (the TGA) is the same agency which records adverse events. At the very minimum, another agency which has no involvement in the approvals should manage the adverse events reports.

Perhaps they knew all about his anti vax ideas long ago and decided to lure him here purely for propaganda purposes?

I wonder if other issues are in play here. With the present sabre rattling going on between NATO and Russia, and the close ties based on ethnicity and religion between Serbia and Russia, is this part of that act?

then again why would you even want a dual passport

The trick with dual passports (nationalities) is that the additional passport allows visa free access to a larger number of countries. For example, an Australian passport holder requires a pre-approved visa to enter Russia whereas a Vanuatu passport holder does not (visa on arrival). There are heaps of other examples but it is about the ‘swiftness’ or convenience that one could utilise in moving around the world. For business people, this can be a critical aspect in getting a deal done.

The are also anti-extradition aspects depending on the extradition treaty one country may have with another. Those who move in the shadows, in particular, may have 2, 3 or even more different nationalities and passports.

Part of the tragedy of the place is that people who risked life and limb to get here, or who came to get away from oppressive social networks, now find that they are in a place worse than the place from which they escaped. In some respects, the social networks have become more oppressive than the political diktats.

You know, the person who wrote the comment about Australia being idyllic does have a reasonable point. I can’t exactly recall the parameters used, but Australia came out at number 1 in terms of overall standard living used in an Economist survey. And I think it’s true. For the most part, obviously not all, the not so well off have an incredible standard of living relative to the rest of the world. Our so so suburbs are amazingly clean to the point of sterility and the homes appear to be well kept with most having nice gardens and lawns. We could be much wealthier still but that’s for another discussion. For the wealthy though, Australia may not be tops because anyone wealthy can have a wealthy -type living standard pretty much anywhere in the western world. It just costs more.

I see some debate in various comments (mainly in the mainstream media) that plenty of people have caught covid twice, and some in a relatively short time. I understood that having had covid would provide strong and lasting immunity, superior in fact than from the ‘vaccines’.

Seems to. The ones having caught it twice are likely the vaxxed. After a few months the vaxxes not only eliminate whatever natural immunity you had but have negative efficacy.

Simple version.

Covid is a single strand DNA thing. This means it can mutate easily. Much like the flu shot doesnt protect you against every variety of flu its meant to protect you from the worst (I think its 4) varieties predicted to be circulating.

Having one variety of covid wont stop you getting some of the others.
Its the exact reason they havent successfully tried a human vaccination against covid family before. By the time youve vaxed for one strain its effectively obsolete.

With our current crop of sub-mongs making decisions it should only take another 5-10 years to learn this.

Bullshit. There’s not been any number of scientifically verifiable cases where a person has caught the same variant twice. It’s been muted but never shown to be true and we can safely sinfer that repeat contagion of the same variant is zero or very very rare. What we are seeing is a few people catching the Omni after Alpa and Delta. That’s not unusual as we see the same with the flu when people are vaxxed for another variant.

I have to say my little patch of Australia is pretty darn good. And I have travelled just about everywhere (excluding Antarctica). And lived in a genuine 3rd world country for an extended period.

Government does influence the general level of sh*tholiness, as does the population mix. It doesn’t mean I’m ecstatic about the situation, or blind to it or indifferent.

Following some excellent advice from Voltaire, I will make sure that my own garden is as well cultivated as it can be. And that is no mean feat, especially when outside forces want to turn it into a place of briars and ruin.

I am wondering if someone with suitable expertise or references could help with just how effective is having Covid in producing robust immunity to avoiding later infections ?

I can’t immediately point you to a study, but reports prior to OMIGHOD suggested that ‘Survivor Immunity’ (immunity to covid after covid) was virtually 100%, with the occasional ‘reinfection’ generally being an artefact due to a false + PCR on either the 1st or 2nd so called infection.

First principles backs this up – after your immune system has learned to defeat a viral infection once, it retains that knowledge forever, and you only catch it ‘again’ if it mutates enough to significantly evade that knowledge (in which case you aren’t really getting the infection again, you are getting one of its children). This is why you only ever get measles once (it mutates slowly) but you get a variety of colds annually (resp viruses mutate rapidly).

Up until OMIGHOD, the similarity of all ‘new variants’ to the original strain, and each other, was sufficient that your suite of immune defences after natural infection pretty much ensured you didn’t get COVID again. With OMIGHOD, however, there are a LOT of mutational changes, sufficient it seems for it to largely evade narrow spectrum vaccine immunity – hence the obvious failure of the vaccines to prevent the current outbreak.

These mutational changes may also be enough for it to partially start evading the broad spectrum defences available after prior infection, hence we are probably starting to see some ‘breakthrough’ cases after natural immunity also. The great majority of these are likely mild or invisible, BUT, they can be viewed as a natural ‘antivirus update’, meaning you are now back up to 100% strength in terms of immunity.

This is how immunity to fast mutating respiratory viruses work – you have to keep updating it by regular battles with each new variant. Most times, these will cause asymptomatic or mild illness, and only where the new variant is very different to your prior experience will you get serious illness.

Failure to understand the dynamic nature of immunity – the need to regularly exercise and educate your immune system by letting it deal with ongoing threats – is why we have fallen for the trap of passive immunity via immunisation. Now we are seeing the results – rapid failure of the vaccines to provide protection, and a weakened natural immune response to back it up. This in my mind is one of the biggest risks of repeated immunisation – you let your own immune system get lazy and it falls over when a significantly new threat comes along. This is called ‘immune debt’.
