Tits won’t replace albo: a rape accusation is worse then frequenting brothels so tits loses in the sex ethics stakes.

Not in Liar’s party circles it isn’t. Gert real Cronkite. A rape accusation on the left side is a badge of honor. They fawn over rapists. Clinton, Hiden, Tits…..

I mentioned on the Cat a few days ago that my No. 1 son had covid. He is very late 20’s and fit with no underlying (known) co-morbidities.

I spoke with him yesterday and he is well and back at work. He reported that during his illness he felt lethargic with other symptoms including a sore throat and some congestion. Compared it to a mild/moderate cold.

DIRECTV Announces They Are Cancelling OAN News Because of The Network Political Alignment

Following on the heels of the demand from the White House to start blocking content against the interests of the Biden administration, DirecTV the satellite television communication company now part of the AT&T network, has announced their decision to drop the One America News Network (OANN) channel because OAN is perceived to be supportive of Donald Trump.

Given his government has no idea who among its subjects has the RAT kits – (I bought a couple of packets a month ago – or did I?) – nor how many they have, or whether they’ve been used, correctly or otherwise, or by whom, or what result they gave, it seems unlikely that any fines will be collected. So, an unenforceable law to deal with an undetectable offence with a mighty but undeliverable penalty. If there’s a more amusing way of inviting contempt for the rules and their creators, I look forward to it.

I’m just now reading Steve Waterson’s article quoted this morning. This particular arrangement is also inviting contempt of our bureaucrats and politicians by the population. Did they give it a moment’s thought how they were going to enforce this? Even my teenage grandson asked me where is the catch and thought it was hilarious when I told him there wasn’t one.

The extent to which Australia is a shithole depends on which bit of it we’re talking about.

The bit here is quite nice actually. Cooling down after a ride around the shore of the lake, which was excellent. And more riding before breakfast up the picturesque Tramways Track, which also has a small horsey area and butcherbirds.

The less nice bits seem to be the sections with people in them unfortunately. Which isn’t at all that surprising really; been ever thus since Genesis 3.

In Victoria, the legal fun looks set to continue, featuring backflip after hilarious backflip. With their inept, confused and torturous mishandling of what looked, no matter what side you favour, to be a simple visa decision, the PM and his ministers have turned the modest success of his “Where the bloody hell are you?” campaign to attract overseas tourists into a triumphant “What the bloody hell are you doing here?” drive to dissuade them from coming.

The ScoMo has never been bright, that title of Scotty from Marketing has always been ironic. He has been perfidious and lucky, that is the secret to his reaching The Lodge.

Anyone got a good explanation for NEGATIVE efficacy?

Yep, I can give you 2 mechanisms.

1) ADE (Antibody dependent enhancement – more severe illness the 2nd time you encounter the virus, DUE to your immune response): The vaccines (sic) teach your body to produce antibodies to just ONE protein, the spike protein, but there is nevertheless a SPECTRUM of said antibodies, with different functions and longevities. The key to immunity are the ‘neutralising’ antibodies – these latch onto the virus/spike and prevent it doing its thing. But there are also a range of ‘transport’ antibodies which are tasked with taking the virus/spike into the interior of various immune cells where they are used to ‘teach’ your immune system about the virus. ADE occurs when the neutralising antibodies disappear with time, but the transport antibodies persist. Hence, at your 2nd exposure to the virus, your immune system actively transports the virus into your cells, but DOES NOT KILL IT. – this is the rock upon which all previous coronavax projects foundered – its why all the test animals died.

2) Original Antigenic Sin: Your COVID vax (sic again) teaches your body to recognise the viral spike protein and do ONE thing – pump out antibodies against it. This is a much more limited response than you get after the real infection, where you pump all sorts of antibodies to all sorts of targets in the virus, and a whole host of other attack weapons as well. With original antigenic sin, when you subsequently encounter the next variant (one with a different but still recognisable spike protein), your immune system immediately recognises the spike and does the only thing it know how to do – it pumps out lots of old antibodies – antibodies which have limited ability to neutralise the new variant of the spike. This is less of a problem if you re-encounter the virus after natural immunity, because your immune system has so many other attack vectors as well.

Hmmm. I appreciate your geographical knowledge.

Hiroshima: Only zoomed through on the bullet train, not sure if it’s good or not. They do have a tram system…
Horsham: I believe I stopped there on the way to Adelaide a few years ago. It may be a good option. Anyone here know how it is on the ground there? Might be worth investigating.
Nagoya: Nice city. Roughly between Osaka and Tokyo. Well laid out on a grid pattern after it’s utter destruction in WW2, home of Toyota (well Aichi prefecture).
Nagambie: Only drove through. Still, it’s deep in the country which would be good.
Kyoto: Visited. Its nice for visiting, but probably not for living.
Kyabram: Can’t say I’ve been there. Cant be worse than Melbourne tho?

I think Nara Japan or somewhere in Bob Katter’s electorate maybe the way to go!

FMD am at pg140 in that Novak submission. My bad by the looks, seems to be part of his defence.

Some observations. Government rolled in old Parliament House fires. Talk about drawing a long bow.

They won’t go near his declaration, LOL who mentioned this morning (Mater?) that likely many other declarations by the rich and connected have been falsified too.

Interviewer’s name is visible in one paragraph, google search reveals as some quipped the other day likely sub-continent origin.

The interview is attached twice so I was able to skim about 60 pages.

Novak says a number of times words to the effect “If I knew I would not be allowed in I would not have come”.

Looking very much like Victorian Authorities granted the exemption, lower Fed employees rubber stamped but once the bad publicity hit the papers someone higher got involved hence the first clumsy attempt. This could have spectacularly blown up in Andrews face if someone with a cooler head had have handled it. No questions are being asked of or will be asked of Dan by the looks. Talk about a faceplant for the Federal Liberal Party.

Chinese authorities slam KFC for ‘arousing panic buying’ after man caught ordering 106 meals (13 Jan)

A man’s shameless attempt at getting his hands on a collection of promotional KFC toys has landed him in hot water with Chinese authorities.

The anonymous fried chicken enthusiast reportedly bought 106 meals in one hit, amounting to about 10,500 yuan ($2250) while on the hunt for the entire set of plastic characters handed out free with every burger combo.

According to a post on Chinese social media platform Weibo, the plastic dolls are part of a promotion to celebrate the fast food joint’s 35th anniversary on the mainland.

But the celebrations weren’t appreciated in Beijing, with the state-affiliated China Consumers Association blasting the Colonel in a lengthy statement, accusing the restaurant chain of ”arousing consumer panic buying and widespread social concern”.

“As a food retailer, KFC has induced and encouraged irrational buying of excessive meals,” the statement read. “This is in violation of morals and norms, as well as the spirit of the law.

If Xi closes KFC for unpatriotic activity (ie. giving out plastic dolls with six-nuggets-and-chips) then all those potato chips will need a new home. Yum!

Friends of ours from Vic. are on a caravan holiday around the south island. They are double and triple vaxxed. This morning they were contacted and told they had been too close to a positive ‘rona and have to isolate. The caravan park where they were told them they couldn’t stay.

They’re set up on our property now, overlooking a dam. We hope our platypus comes out to say hello and give them a holiday feel, poor souls. They were supposed to go and get tested pronto, but apparently there’s a 24hr delay for that – too busy. I thought the whole isolating thing was over but it seems they’re jailed for 6 days and two negative tests.

Also heard that organisers of outdoor events (eg. local ag shows) are being told that only vaxxed can attend. Will that include Anzac Day?

““I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.
“So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.””

Covid-19 Response Commander Jeroen Weimar said, the state had “unfortunately and sadly” surpassed 1000 hospitalised patients on Friday but Saturday’s figures meant it had reached its highest number of hospitalisations since the pandemic began.

“This again highlights how transmissible Omicron is but also how avoidable it is,” he said.

Less than half of people in hospital were not fully vaccinated.

Huh?

More than half the people in hospital were fully vaccinated? I know, with vaxx rates at 92.6% of 16 and over, that still doesn’t mean that the vaxxes are failing. But it’s a strange double negative way of saying it. And why don’t they make the full stats available? If I didn’t trust Maximum Leader’s government so much I’d almost wonder whether they’re deliberately being unclear about something.

Duk

Welcome back. Thanks for the explanation for negative efficacy, although it’s easy to figure what it means by seeing both words together.

Here’s the issue. Earlier on, Eyrie was suggesting the inherent “negative efficacy” effect of the vaxxes is causing people to get covid twice.

I pointed out to him that it isn’t surprising people end up getting a different variant of covid, but it’s very very rare to hear someone getting the same variant twice. In fact we have friends living in Miami where the couple got the Alpha and now are just on the recovered side of Delta.

It was explained to him there is no surprise in people suffering a version of two variants but it is for getting the same strain twice. He seems to have a problems acknowledging this, which is why he gave your negative efficacy recognition. I thought I’d put it out there.

Wow that got repetitive in some of the Annexes. Hawke is using his powers which are pretty broad. They admit Novak is low risk, they accept he co-operated, had the right visa and a person of good standing with no history otherwise, yadda yadda yadda. However they are basing their case on the fact he will by, mere presence, encourage people to make a stand against forced vaccination. Going on other visa cancellations especially for conservative speakers for much less, I’d say we are at checkmate.

There a lot of fluff in the submission, especially the newspaper articles which shouldn’t hold weight as they are a journalists opinion and all likely cherry picked snapshots. That seems for local consumption as the MSM will definitely latch on to it.

They seem to downplay the political fallout internationally from this, I really don’t know whether internationally how damaging it will be. I suspect from a world perspective the bleeding obvious will be discussed, why grant the exemption & visa in the first place? Then pirouette once he lands because of local politics. Not good optics.

Also this guy is very influential due to his status and will now have the irritation of more paperwork wherever he goes due to a visa cancellation. Also will have sympathetic voices in international sports bodies. Could that affect Australia hosting future events? The effect will wane over time but he could cause some short term discomfort.

Be interesting to see his legal teams counter to Hawke which should be up later.

Surmising -The absence of ‘good order’ implies wrongdoing.
In which case, the matter is something like that of another high profile appeal where the onus of proof was to show that it was not impossible that wrongdoing could have occurred, with Djokovic’s case being the need to show that it is not impossible that wrongdoing will occur.

The hostages were released almost simultaneously with Reagan being sworn in as the US President. There were plenty of negotiations beforehand (with Algeria as the mediator!) but I recall hearing a story that the US side made it crystal clear that Reagan was an entirely different man to Carter. Namely, that Reagan was in no mood to negotiate further and the full resources of the USA will come to bear. The USA will brook no further humiliation and for each hostage life lost, Tehran and the holy city of Qom, can expect serious, and upscaling, retribution.

Thus the Mullahs (Khomeini specifically) determined they had milked this incident as far as it could go. The release time/date was specifically scheduled as a final ‘slap’ to Carter.

However they are basing their case on the fact he will by, mere presence, encourage people to make a stand against forced vaccination.

Haha, it’s all Politics.
How is Albanese and The Labor Shillerati at The Australian going to spin that?
Answer:
They can’t.

It’s expressly not health risks, or paperwork cockups.

There’s been no suggestion that Djokovic would actually use his celebrity to proselytise his views on vaccination.

Hawke’s (read the Morrison Government’s) express reason for revoking the visa substantially boils down to ‘we’ve lost control of part of the flock and can’t trust the buggers to behave themselves’.

That’s vaxxed and unvaxxed buggers.

Just looked up Hawke.

Hawke is a Sydney Uni Regiment old boy, Troop Commander in 1/15 RNSWL. Wow the NSW party is an incestuous lot, wasn’t Reynolds another Army Reserve type from the same flock? Kept David Elliott out of the seat so small mercies. Seems he used the NSW Conservatives to get a leg up then promptly dumped them by doing deals with “moderates” aka Photios. He is also in one of the safest seats out there so expect to see Hawke for the long haul.

Ed, seriously if you believe the Bushfires and this are a success for Scomo I have a bridge for sale, great views.

Nope. Females have only been allowed into the Armoured Corps within the last 2-3 years.

Reynolds was something else, and quickly catapulted into HQ and staff officer positoons, before becoming a politician.

Ah, well, Rex, funny you should mention that.
Faulty over at the Furniture Store reckons The Powers That Be are going to crash the banking system for a day, during which time Parliament will pass the We Want Your Cash Bill.
Next day, your deposits will be used to pay down bank debt, government deficits and top up the WEF Christmas Club.
Cash payments will be outlawed.

I read that, in a fit of idleness and a quiet hope of observing another Bird-strike (he’s back, by the way. Under ‘Josey Wales.’ And Struth now nukes him on sight).

Struth, to his eternal credit, felt that pronouncement was too nuffy for him to agree with.

Yes. I heard similar sentiments. The US negotiators were nominally Carter officials but the Reagan Presidential Transition Team inserted themselves into the negotiation process. I was told that the language used by the Reagan team was ‘less than diplomatic’ but nobody could have been under any illusions that they were serious and spoke with the authority of the incoming President. Whether Reagan would have glassed Tehran and Qom is obviously unknowable (and I doubt he would have) but even so, conventional weapons would have caused a hell of a mess.

Imagine – this was almost exactly 51 years ago.
