Peter Dutton says if troops are needed to staff aged care homes ‘that’s what we will do’

I’m sure the staffs will appreciate the help building bunkers, clearing fields of fire, and stringing concertina wire.

From Bern’s post above :

“And that 60k people in NSW aged care facilities die every year”.

So 5,000 per month. Those dying with Covid in aged care are therefore seriously under represented in population !

Meanwhile Deputy Premier Qld in press conference today was blaming Federal Government because people die in aged care homes. Average age was yet again mid 80’s. The BS is mind blowing and the failure of the press is staggering.

“Claim WA police stopped church mass for vax checks
Paul Garvey
PAUL GARVEY

Western Australian police have been criticised on social media after a photograph emerged appearing to show officers conducting proof of vaccination checks in the middle of mass at a Perth church.

The image, posted to Instagram, was purportedly taken on Thursday night during a service at St Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Glendalough.

Social media users described the image as “disturbing” and “disgusting”.

“It’s the arrogance and casually brutal attitude of a Government that has received near total compliance for 2 yrs and now believes it can make no mistakes and that no one will stand up to them,” Instagram user lancescott55555 wrote.

Proof of vaccination requirements came into force in Perth on Monday. Anyone visiting venues including bars and restaurants, bottle shops, entertainment venues or indoor events with over 500 patrons are required to show proof of their Covid-19 vaccination.

Churches and places of worship with fewer than 500 people in attendance are not on the list of venues requiring proof of vaccination.

WA police have been contacted for comment.”

… Nick Spanos and Stephen Melrose aren’t widely known these days…

Yep, spot on.
IIRC they were lawyers, working in London, having a few days on the continent.

The IRA claimed that it was a “mistake” and they’d thought Spanos and Melrose were British soldiers

This is almost certain to be true. Despite a previous instance of shooting dead a German woman (in Germany) in the belief she was British Army, the violent psychopaths in the IRA reviewed their rules of engagement only as far as checking visually for a conservative haircut & male clothing before opening fire.

The attack was in Roermond, a couple of km from the German border & not far from several British bases (in Germany). The men both had conservative haircuts (check) were of military age (check) able bodied (check) driving a British registered car – so they must be British military.

and that they didn’t want to kill people who had nothing to do with the Irish conflict…

Un huh, sure.
With such indisputably poor target verification, the really big risk for the IRA was they could just as easily have machine-gunned a pair of holidaying lawyers from Boston named say, Flaherty & O’Neill.

Whatever one says about the Ulster Protestant militias at least they didn’t do world-wide random killing tours.

It is possible the Prod paramilitaries played at home pretty much because they had to.
Unlike the IRA, the Protestant militias lacked a heavyweight financial, political & moral support base in the USA.
The IRA also had access to a world-wide Marxist movement with ample arms & experience and a geo-political grudge against their enemy, the UK govt.

QLD is to NSW, as NSW is to Victoria as Victoria is to WA, as WA is to NT, on this stuff.

This isn’t to be all rah-rah, it’s just reality.

NSW nearly made it – and was holding strong with a high level of resistance until August last year, but collapsed as a society when treacherous Gladys was faced with her corruption and so tried to save her neck by selling out the entire state to covid mania. The people haven’t recovered and it’ll take a couple of years to undo what she did – it won’t be until Hazzard and Chant are gone, in fact. That is what it is. But it’s still number two on the list.

People are just going to have to accept that people make culture, culture makes politics and QLD has by far, by light years in distance, resisted the worst of Covid Mania because its cultural make up prevented the Brisbane based political class from going to town on the people in a state that it barely controls north of Noosa and west of Toowoomba (and are a little bit afraid of).

If you care about politics, instead of being a butt-hurt Victorian with a massive chip on your shoulder about Queenslanders, and start looking at who did better than who then naturally QLD and Florida and NSW pre-August are the places you start looking at. Nobody on planet earth is looking at Victorians say “myesss we have a lot we can copy from down there!”.

Scott Morrison says Alan Tudge will not be education minister when parliament resumes

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been grilled about an inquiry into a senior minister who had an affair with his staffer.

Scott Morrison says Australia’s education minister – who stepped aside over abuse allegations last year – will not return to the role before parliament resumes next week, despite a review into his conduct being due a week ago.

Speaking in Mulgrave, in the marginal Victorian seat of Chisholm, on Friday, Mr Morrison was grilled about the inquiry tasked with investigating Alan Tudge’s relationship with his former staffer Rachelle Miller.

The results were due to be finalised and handed to the Prime Minister’s department last Friday.

“When will the Government respond to the allegations about Alan Tudge given they were due on January 28?” he was asked.

“We are working to this process is now,” he answered.

He was then asked if Mr Tudge would be reinstated as the education minister by the time parliament returned on Tuesday.

“We won’t have that resolved by the time,” he conceded.

Mr Tudge stood aside as minister last year after an inquiry was called to examine allegations of emotional and physical abuse made by Mr Miller.

Both Mr Tudge and Ms Miller have admitted to an extramarital affair in 2017 but Mr Tudge has strongly denied any mistreatment.

Ms Miller declined to take part in the investigation, saying it was not truly independent.”

Pope Francis on Feb 2 2022, taught, “that in Christ no one can ever truly separate us from those we love because the bond is an existential bond, a strong bond that is in our very nature…who have denied the faith, who are apostates.” Pope Pius XII taught the exact opposite when he wrote of those: “who have not been so unfortunate as to separate themselves from the unity of the Body, or been excluded by legitimate authority for grave faults committed….as does schism or heresy or apostasy.” Pope Francis is condemned by Pope Pius XII. Only one can be right on this matter. It is Pius XII. Dr. Taylor Marshall reads the texts. You decide.

“Don’t forget the vile Kennedy family funnelling dough and running protection politically as the IRA was bombing the UK.”

What’s interesting is that JFK was an Anglophile…who preferred England to Ireland….he revered Churchill, McMillan and others….as opposed to his Nazi sympathising father. One of the interesting tidbits to arise out of the November 22 assassination was that when you watch the Zapruder film you will see a man standing on on the grass with an umbrella…….

“A person popularly dubbed the “umbrella man” has been the object of much speculation, as he was the only person seen carrying, and opening, an umbrella on that sunny day. He was also one of the closest bystanders to President John F. Kennedy when Kennedy was first struck by a bullet. As Kennedy’s limousine approached, the man opened up and lifted the umbrella high above his head, then spun or panned the umbrella from east to west (clockwise) as the president passed by him. In the aftermath of the assassination, the “umbrella man” sat down on the sidewalk next to another man before getting up and walking towards the Texas School Book Depository.”

“After an appeal to the public by the United States House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA), Louie Steven Witt came forward in 1978 and claimed to be the “umbrella man”. He claimed to still have the umbrella and did not know he had been the subject of controversy. He said that he brought the umbrella simply to heckle Kennedy, whose father, Joseph, had been a supporter of the Nazi-appeasing British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain. By waving a black umbrella, Chamberlain’s trademark fashion accessory, Witt said he was protesting the Kennedy family appeasing Adolf Hitler before World War II. An umbrella had been used in cartoons in the 1930s to symbolize such appeasement, and Chamberlain often carried an umbrella. Kennedy, who wrote a thesis on appeasement while at Harvard, Why England Slept, might have recognized the symbolism of the umbrella. Black umbrellas had been used in connection with protests against the President before; at the time of the construction of the Berlin Wall, a group of schoolchildren from Bonn sent the White House an umbrella labeled Chamberlain.

Testifying before the HSCA, Witt said “I think if the Guinness Book of World Records had a category for people who were at the wrong place at the wrong time, doing the wrong thing, I would be No. 1 in that position, without even a close runner-up.”

History is fascinating.

Going after the IRA world-wide would have consumed incredible manpower & resources, a herculean logistical effort, for minute (if any) gain. Plus without a home ground beehive & home population in which to hide, the casualty rate for their operatives would have been unsustainable.

Besides, the UK security agencies & military were already alert & gunning for the IRA overseas. Why bother to add your mouse-roar to that comparative herd of elephants?

Weapon linked Roberts-Smith to Afghan killing, SAS soldier tells court
Michaela Whitbourn
By Michaela Whitbourn
February 4, 2022 — 2.47pm

An elite soldier has told the Federal Court that he witnessed an Australian soldier shoot an Afghan man who had a prosthetic leg at close range with a distinctive machine gun that he later saw in the possession of war veteran Ben Roberts-Smith.

Person 14, a serving Special Air Service soldier who cannot be identified for national security reasons, gave evidence in Sydney on Friday in Mr Roberts-Smith’s long-running defamation action against The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Canberra Times.

The SAS soldier said he was involved in a mission with his patrol on Easter Sunday, 2009, which involved clearing buildings in a compound known as Whiskey 108.

He said he witnessed three Australian soldiers outside the compound who appeared to be from two different patrols with “a black object which was … similar to a human”. The object was “thrown to the ground” with a thud, he said, before a soldier raised a machine gun known as an F89 Para Minimi and “fired, like, an extended burst”.

“That person turned and walked away out of sight back into Whiskey 108,” Person 14 said.

He said he could not recognise who fired the gun, but they were carrying the “distinctive” Para Minimi weapon that was “not carried by many [soldiers], sometimes not at all”.

He said that typically “at least one to two” of the light weapons were carried in a troop.

“From my angle … it wasn’t favourable conditions to identify [the soldiers] … given that we all dress similar and wear similar items. However, the things that did stand out was the Minimi and the choice of campaint [camouflage paint],” he said.

Person 14 said the camouflage paint used by one particular patrol, led by a troop commander known as Person 5, was distinctive in that they chose grey-brown colours “typical to urban environment”, making their faces stand out against the green of their surroundings.

He said two of the soldiers he witnessed in the group had “highly illuminated grey-brown campaint” on their faces, while the third “was definitely wearing the same, or similar, campaint style as Ben Roberts-Smith”.

He “saw who had the Minimi” after the mission was completed, he said, and it was “Ben Roberts-Smith”.

Person 14 said he later inspected the black object with the soldiers and established “it was a human”.

“He was laying on his back, he had a shaved head, little bit of a beard, dark Afghan robes, dress, but then he also had … a prosthetic leg,” he said. He said he did not see a weapon on the body.

He later saw the prosthetic leg used by soldiers as a drinking vessel at the SAS headquarters in Afghanistan as well as in Australia, he said, and had drunk from it himself. Asked if Mr Roberts-Smith ever drank from it, Person 14 said: “Not that I’m aware of.”

Earlier this week, a serving SAS soldier known as Person 41 gave evidence that he saw Mr Roberts-Smith on the same day in 2009 “frog-marching” an Afghan man, throwing him to the ground and firing “three to five rounds” into his back. He said he became aware after the alleged killing that the man had a prosthetic leg.

Person 41 told the court he was not in Person 5’s patrol.

Giving evidence earlier on Friday, Person 14 said he heard Person 5 say in front of troops at their Tarin Kowt base before the Whiskey 108 mission that he was going to “blood the rookie”.

Asked what he understood that to mean, Person 14 said it referred to a new member of the troop getting a “kill”. He believed the “rookie” was Person 4.

“Was Mr Roberts-Smith present on that occasion?” Mr Owens asked. “Yes,” Person 14 replied.

He said he heard Person 5 say after the mission: “I finally blooded the rookie.”

The first SAS witness, Person 41, told the court on Wednesday that Mr Roberts-Smith told Person 4 to kill a different Afghan detainee during the Easter Sunday mission.

Mr Roberts-Smith has denied giving any such direction and insisted that a man he killed with a prosthetic leg on that day was an armed Taliban insurgent who posed a threat.

Mr Roberts-Smith is suing for defamation over a series of reports in 2018 that he says portray him as a war criminal. The defamation trial resumed in the Federal Court in Sydney on Wednesday after a six-month break.

The Age and the Herald, owned by Nine, and The Canberra Times, now under separate ownership, are seeking to rely on a defence of truth. They allege Mr Roberts-Smith committed or was involved in six murders of Afghans under the control of Australian troops, when they cannot be killed under the rules of engagement.

The former SAS soldier maintains any killings in Afghanistan were carried out lawfully in the heat of battle.

WTF is a “Para Minimi?”

The demographic trend has been towards a Catholic majority for a long time, and though it won’t happen very soon there’s no reason to think that it won’t.

Irish unification is actually inevitable.

It’s certainly more probable than not, anyway.
The demographic trend has been towards a Catholic majority for a long time, and though it won’t happen very soon there’s no reason to think that it won’t.
And then the argument against switching to the Republic, if there is one, will be largely economic – arguing against going fully EU with the south in favour of staying with the UK with the consequent border problems.

The problem I have with these “always was, always will be” arguments is the potential denial of self-determination to the generations that were born and who now live in places like northern Ireland, Taiwan, and Ukraine. The world turns and historical justifications for a return to the past status quo fail to consider that if that happens there is potentially going to be more conflict because present generations will feel they have been robbed of their autonomy through no fault of their own. It becomes a vicious cycle and for what? Some lines on a map, the restoration of pride, but rarely of any practical good for either party; though admittedly Russia has a vested interest in regard to the Black Sea but having already occupied Crimea and built that ship blocking bridge across the strait pretty much makes that moot.

Get over it, move on, stop living in the past.

Who said the Republic is ruled by a despot? The Republic isn’t perfect…no country is. I can understand why Ulster Protestants didn’t want unification…particularly when the Church was ascendant however, as we know, that’s no longer the case…the last twenty years has seen the Church’s authority collapse however there is now something that’s probably a lot worse than the Church…much more sinister and much more pernicious and that is a form of secular socialism which is running amok in Ireland.

Now I don’t know about IRA activities here in Oz…but the IRA sure received a lot of financial support from the US……and most particularly in and around Boston.

Salvatore, Understaffed & Overworked Martyr to Govt Covid Stupidity

Regards the Police Force of Western Australia stomping into Mt. Hawthorn Roman Catholic Church yesterday, interrupting the liturgy for the purpose of having everybody in the pews verify their vaccination status:

Were I the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Perth (I’m not) this is what would be happening:
All RC chaplaincy to police would be suspended instantly, & all cooperation extended to police withdrawn (temporarily)
This would have to be with instant effect. Any priest pulling a “Father Bob” & ignoring this would be same day sent to Fitzroy Crossing, Docker River, or somesuch to minister to souls there. That’s if I couldn’t get the Prelate of Burma on the phone & send ’em there to minister to souls in Rohinga country or something.

Then I’d call in the Police Commissioner. If he didn’t come around I’d pronto turn up at his place (his home if necessary) dressed in full Roman Catholic regalia. (Fast forward past a few minutes of preamble about the long relationship between church/police focusing on the aspects beneficial to police) then:
“Commissioner, if your shitheads ever again crash God’s liturgy for temporal political purposes, then they’re not going to be buried by God’s church. Just try me on this. Upon my receipt of your personal written apology, chaplaincy & [insert other cooperation measures/charity etc] will recommence.”

“By the way Commissioner, the Roman Catholic Church recognises as fair dinkum marriages, a marriage conducted by several denominations, including but not limited to [insert list of proddy denominations, being sure to noticeably include several happy clapper & the like] so from this moment you’ll not be interrupting their holy worship either.”

“Commissioner, the church fully supports the police in enforcing public health measures, conduct vaccine verification, with my blessing, outside the church, as the congregation is leaving/ arriving.”

Next, the President of the Police Union (for rank & file) would be summoned/visited, who’d receive the same spiel, along with the same inflexible requirement for an apology.

I hope the above is what happened this morning.

It was quite plain the lady had a preset spiel, I interrupted at the blokes request to read the medical notes after she tried the “well it was after a few minutes, so it might not have been the vaccine”.
And, as god is my witness, “it might have been the weather” was put forward instead.

After i read the medical notes from the previous immunologist the lady decided she should bring up the notes for review from her own department.

Shes begged off the rest of the call to go and read the notes and ‘consult” and is supposed to ring back around 3:00

Speaking of the pope, it will be interesting to see if Francis rebukes Cardinal Hollerich of Luxembourg, president of the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the EU, who has given an interview saying the church needs to change its position on homosexuality, contradicting Catholic doctrine and the previous pope.

Exiles from mainstream Anglican & Protestant churches will know this is how the rot begins – a high ranking clergyman or theologian breaks ranks on doctrine and remains undisciplined, thereby giving tacit permission for others to follow. This reveals that the higher authorities were complicit all along.

The same specious arguments are being used too – including that if the church doesn’t change it will lose the support of young people and that the Bible does not mention homosexuality as it exists today but was only against cultic prostitution because it involved idolatry. Did God really say…?

And out of this confected climate of fear a police state has revealed itself for all to see. Any country that proclaims Novak Djokovic—one of the world’s greatest-ever tennis players and a role model to the world—“a threat to public order” has surely lost its way.

I remember an article last year which suggested the person who souvenired it and took it back to base was a senior SAS NCO who last year was the RSM of Special Forces. When the story came out he was supposed to be looking into the culture of the SAS and had to step down from his SF role.

Ha ha ha. Serves himself right for siding with the emasculators.

These people are either totally indifferent to the harm they’re causing people, or they are actually meaning to cause harm. I want them to tell us straight out which it is.

No sensible medical professional would or should ever insist a person repeat a treatment that has already caused them that degree of reaction

There was an article at TheirABC this morning about the ‘vaccine hesitant’ where some dickhead medico was explaining that there are virtually no valid medical reasons to exempt anyone from getting jabbed. The fact that people had previous severe reactions to e.g. flu jabs is irrelevant, so safe and benign are all varieties of COVID jabs, claimed this moron. Being aged and very frail, almost dead of cancer, high risk pregnant – you name it – is no excuse.

It was absolutely fanatical, as if granting a few thousand medical exemptions would result in the fall of civilisation. This is the mindset of a significant section of the medico/bureaucratic establishment, the ones who reckon we should all wear masks all the time forever and so on.

The sheer lack of compassion and human sympathy in these robots posing as being concerned about our welfare is terrifying. They are the modern equivalent of those who wanted to destroy a village to save it.

The fact that no prominent public figures have the guts to call these psychopaths out is very disturbing.

RunnyTedBundybum’s dissembling reminds me of another great Quenthlander, who a couple of years back was invited to join some other people who were once in the same line of work for a discussion.

The same sorts of faffle were produced, along with demands for an apology and a guarantee of ‘personal safety’ beforehand.

And he still didn’t go. Stayed hermetically sealed in his MX5, he did.

Quenthland – the ‘last holdout’, populated by the only white Anglo Christian blokes that can save the country. Apparently.

As I may have alluded to this morning – if some Quenthlanders want to throw catch-all shit at other people, and at the same time generically paint themselves in the manner of Washington crossing the Delaware, they can’t be too put out if others find it pisstakingly hilarious when they fall short of the mark.

Going camping in the Territory – police assaulted with a ” folded gazebo”…

NT Police have charged three people in total after a “disturbance” in a Tennant Creek town camp on Wednesday night, where they allege two people assaulted officers, including hitting one with a folded gazebo, after officers tasered a man who approached them with a knife.
Police media manager Rob Cross said in a statement said officers were responding to reports of a “disturbance” but when they arrived at the town camp about 9.15pm, they were allegedly approached by a 19-year-old man armed with a knife.
“The man ignored police directions to drop the weapon and continued to approach police, when he was tasered by attending officers,” Mr Cross said.
He said while police were arresting him, a 38-year-old man allegedly ran at an officer, attempted to kick her to the head, before assaulting her with a folded gazebo.
Officers retreated to the car but they were surrounded by people who threw rocks at the car, shattering the passenger side window, cutting the officers’s faces, Mr Cross said.
The officers were treated at Tennant Creek Hospital.
Mr Cross said a 19-year-old man was charged with assaulting police, processing a controlled weapon at night, and engaging in violent conduct.
While another 19-year-old man was charged with engaging in violent conduct, and being armed with an offensive weapon at night, he said.

I should just say that when it comes to struggles against injustice, the term ‘murderous warfare’ as per eg the IRA or the ANC, was not intended to be made synonymous with ‘murderous thugs’. Warfare, unlike thuggery, can be lawful and justifiable, deadly though it be. (As for thugs at freedom protests, they have so far in this contrived pandemic not been amongst the protesters but amongst the law enforcers.)

This is completely insane.

What if our ruling classes are insane? Like the Soviet ruling classes were. What then?

only four of the 20 people who tested positive reported having any symptoms, prompting Dr Gerrard to reiterated the importance of masks.

A sane person would read that and say 80% of the tests are false positives.. That is, if 80% of the tests were “positive” but the people aren’t sick, then the tests are completely broken and cannot be relied upon at all.

But here in insane clown posse asylum world, with a straight face we’re told that 80% of the tests incorrectly diagnosing people as having “covid” who don’t means we all have to wear masks.

And why?

Because it is upon these tests that “cases” are reported. And it is upon “cases” that this unlimited power that these two or three people wield continues. So the tests could be 100% wrong, and you will be wearing masks and banned from life and the unlimited power dictatorship will continue.

Likewise the Tax Office.
But the Fire Brigade in Victoria were very Protestant.
And there were certainly Catholic law firms and Protestant law firms.

Thank you FTB.
So, pre pandemic 165 deaths in aged care per day in Oz.
About one in three were in NSW, or 55 per day.
60% of these were in palliative care.
Since the government can give us daily updates on COVID related deaths they should be able to give us up to date figures for all aged care deaths. This would show if the numbers indicate “excess” deaths or not in Aged Care.
It might even be in the NSW and Fed Libs interest to do so.
The moment my last skerrick of respect for Gladys disappeared was back in August when she told us about the 93 year old who caught COVID and died while in palliative care and I should wear a mask when outside my house!

There will be times when the governments ease off a bit to give people hope, then the # of “cases ” will force them to come down heavy again.

Australia is the big test case – our governments will keep going with this until they are forcefully stopped. They are not going to willingly hand freedom and power back to the people.

Essay on that ugly, tone deaf POS neil young and the hippie counter-culture generally:

In truth, the supposedly liberty-loving artists of the ’60s were anything but liberty-loving. They were soft-serve Jacobins attacking established power not for the sake of some vision of freedom but for the purpose of imposing their own values on the culture.

And they succeeded beyond anyone’s expectations. The ubiquity of identity politics and anti-Western rhetoric are their doing, and the collectivist mentality of “You’re either with us or against us,” a ’60s trademark, characterizes what we are seeing today with COVID restrictions and vaccine mandates. Why wouldn’t Neil Young, one of the era’s high priests, try to dislodge a naysayer like Rogan and his freedom-loving, free-thinking guests? Rogan’s actions in advocating for freedom directly question the hegemony of the culture that the ’60s crowd have created—and in their eyes, that is unacceptable.

Tim, VicPol in the old days had evolved an entente cordial between Masons and Catholics, who each had their own squads. The reason there was an abortion graft royal commission in the last Sixties had to do with that system breaking down and Catholics getting a leg up in the Homicide Squad, noticing the abortion racket the Masons had been pointedly ignoring (in return for a little brown bag cash, it must be said).

In the wider Vic public service, Board of Works was overwhelmingly Protestant and Harbour Trust solidly Catholic.

Ah, for the old days, when there was genuine diversity. Today, all Vic public service departments are run by Green and Labor hacks. They make the old days look like an improvement.

The churches are so disappointing. I’m trying not to be abusive. The impression is that so many in the clergy are not there as believers. Bishops and all. More an apparatus of the state, to use a Marxist term. Take, for instance wearing masks at Mass, otherwise termed Eucharistic services. Now, if the priests truly believed that the liturgy was a Eucharistic feast, a Eucharistic banquet, a sacred meal, or, more shockingly, a deification whereby the human conforms to the Divine, they would then know to say that the wearing of masks in law did not apply – that is the people there are in togetherness at the table of the Lord. No masks required at tables of any sort. But the truth needs to be honoured, and when it’s not, people are treated shabbily both in and out of sacred spaces, by all manner of priesthoods, political, scientific, legal, let alone religious. Bad faith all round, but for the voices in the wilderness.

You’re over-egging the pudding, twostix. No doubt there are a lot of false positives, but being asymptomatic doesn’t mean you are not infected. That is what our immune systems are for – to fight off the bugs even as they are within us.

The real issue is that people get bugs and are asymptomatic all the time – it just means that our immune systems are doing their job. Zeroing in on one particular bug and portraying it as a major threat is a total distortion of what is going on anywhere people are interacting, anytime.
