ParaPactum, the protection device for eminent people.

In the form of an umbrella, but in fact a true weapon of protection. Approved and embraced by the French Presidential Protection Unit (Groupe de Sécurité de la Présidence de la République – GSPR), the ParaPactum has no equivalent elsewhere in the world. Multidirectional protection, instant opening and fully operational, it has been recognised as a protection device for eminent people.

Made in France

Macron pelted with tomatoes in working-class suburb while on unity tour

London: French President Emmanuel Macron was pelted with tomatoes during a surprise visit to a working-class suburb north of Paris just days after he pledged to work harder to unify the fractured nation following his re-election.

The 44-year-old’s security detail was forced to deploy a special protective umbrella to protect him from the flying fruit, with bodyguards shouting “projectile!” as they tried to shield the leader.

The special Kevlar umbrella, known as the paraPactum, can withstand attacks with knives, dogs and hold back crowds. It is also waterproof and its makers insist it will not crumple in a headwind of more than 150km/h.

It was bought by the president’s special protection forces under Nicolas Sarkozy, costing around €10,000 ($14,700) and comes in a secure black briefcase. The material has been tested to withstand acid attacks.

but let’s make sure nobody uses any mean words to describe the behaviour, now that would bring down the wrath of the justice system

Tribalism combined with state largesse creates Welcome to Communism.
Nobody owns anything so they don’t give a toss about its value or utility to another.
It’s a toxic mess that any honest psychologist could predict.
This social experiment is an abject failure that’s destroying the future of kids that could have a good productive life.
Years ago an indigenous bloke who trained kids to work on stations in the NT told me that the lack of English skills was a disaster and hamstrung any good kid from advancing in the job.

Solomon Islands: Can China afford to build a base in Australia’s backyard?Taiwan will be safer
The security agreement signed between Beijing and the small South Pacific nation of Solomon Islands is now weighing heavily on the minds of several of the world’s major powers. The agreement, which had previously been kept secret, was leaked on March 24, suggesting that China could deploy troops to the Solomon Islands and possibly establish a naval base there.

US meeting with arms manufacturers to replenish stocks depleted by Ukraine proxy-war on Russia

The U.S. has been sending its Stingers to Ukrainian forces battling Russia.

It will be years before Raytheon Technologies can build new Stinger shoulder-fired missiles due to a dwindling supply of weapons parts, the company’s CEO said Tuesday.

The U.S. has shipped Stingers to Ukraine’s military, which has used them to shoot down Russian aircraft. But there’s only a finite supply as Raytheon has not made Stinger missiles for the U.S. military in nearly two decades.

“We’re going to have to go out and redesign some of the electronics in the missile and the seeker head,” Raytheon Technologies CEO Greg Hayes told investment analysts Tuesday during the company’s quarterly earnings call. “That’s going to take us a little bit of time.”

The company has “a very limited stock of material for Stinger production,” Hayes said, as it’s currently building a missile for a sole international customer.

Looks like Adem Somyurek doesn’t think much of the IBAC investigation:

IBAC has leaked throughout the two year process, todays leak is IBAC sticking d middle finger up at its own legislation which seeks to guarantee natural justice. IBACs drop of its report before those mentioned in report have a chance to respond is a denial of procedural fairness

When an integrity body illegally puts media strategy ahead of fact finding there is something rotten in the organisation no. I expect a full and thorough investigation why IBAC has breached its own legislation.

If Dan was grilled by IBAC why wasn’t it done publicly. Dan knows a lot about branch stacking & SL operatives organising the SL from MPs including ministers offices. The threshold question is did IBAC investigate Dans faction? Don’t be fooled by todays drop IBAC is protecting Dan

Today, half of the world’s wealth is being created in jurisdictions that have committed to net zero, so those markets that have previously underwritten our state’s prosperity are changing,

Bullshit alert!
The markets that have “previously underwritten” that prosperity are the coal export markets.
Anyone who thinks that the Asian and Latin American countries which are our main coal markets are serious about “net zero” shouldn’t be trusted with sharp objects or flammable materials.

WolfmanOz at the Movies #18 goes woke.

Disagree – thought wolfmanoz summary of “Some Like it Hot” excellent – previewing in 1959 where Society is today – summed up by the 1 minute video – Some Like It Hot (1959) – Nobody’s perfect [HD] summed by the final taking off his wig. and saying “I’m a Man” – response – “Nobody’s Perfect”

Billy Wilder was asked about making another film with Monroe:
“I have discussed this with my doctor and my psychiatrist and they tell me I’m too old and too rich to go through this again.”

But he also admitted:

“My Aunt Minnie would always be punctual and never hold up production, but who would pay to see my Aunt Minnie ?”

And to top it all off the film has one of the best endings/last line in movie history as Jerry/Daphne has been wooed by the much-married and ageing mama’s boy Osgood Fielding III.

La Marseillaise, sung by Mireille Mathieu. American English subtitles.

Reading subtitles, sums up Ukraine today

Performance at the foot of the Eiffel Tower in 1989 for its 100th anniversary. Mireille Mathieu sings La Marseillaise, the French national anthem. According to reports at the time, “Mathieu sang the anthem of France so grandly and shrewdly that tears welled up across the country, many patriotic citizens even needed medical treatment.” Ten years later, she was awarded the Medal of the French Legion of Honor.

We have amended an article on the BBC News online site in Bristol about endometriosis to make it clearer to the audience how the condition affects women. The article was updated to remove an inaccuracy where we described symptoms as causes. Also, specifically, the word ‘people’ was replaced with the word ‘women’, and we removed the phrase “who are assigned female at birth”.

. The Department of Homeland Security set up a new Disinformation Governance Board to tackle misinformation in minority communities

. It will operate under the Biden-era Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) and provide grants to help curb radicalization in the U.S.

. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandor Mayorkas did not disclose any powers that would be granted but said it would also aim at election misinformation

. Nina Jankowicz, a Russian disinformation expert, will head up the new board

The CCP pays attention to how Ukraine is playing:

Taiwan’s annual military drill emboldens secessionists, but PLA’s operation ‘will be like thunderbolt’ if real war comes: expert

Although the Taiwan defense authority said they will learn from the Ukraine-Russia conflict in terms of asymmetric warfare, cognitive and information warfare, and whole community operation, mainland experts believe that the scenario in Europe is “completely devoid of reference” when it comes to China’s internal affairs.

Chinese mainland experts said the annual war games are nothing special but to embolden the secessionists, as once the Chinese mainland is forced to solve the Taiwan question militarily, it will be like a “thunderbolt” unlike the situation in Ukraine.

No, really.

I walked past the southbound bus stop at Spit Junction this morning and there was an infestation of Zali Steggall campaign volunteers wearing those shirts of hers and, in among them, the grate woman herself, in as long grey coat twiddling on her phone.

The volunteers were all aged snow-topped pensioner types. They were grinning like idiot asylum inmates overwhelmed by being allowed outside for the first time. They waved posters with Zali’s mug on them and pressing glossy little flyers into the hands of passers by. This was perhaps a kindness – the poor benighted morons would likely, had they not been given something to do, have wandered into oncoming traffic, or stood facing a wall and screamed that they were trapped and did not know how to get out. Or just spinning like tops until they fell backwards and threw up.

Anyway I popped into the coffee shop just nearby and, making small talk, asked if they had bought much coffee. The guy said “none” but the owner corrected that Zali had bought herself one at the beginning of the infestation.

The guy then went on to say he had seen a gang of Zali-pensioners at another coffee shop, all sitting together chittering and clicking in their insect-like language. He said that Zali came in and did not acknowledge them at all. But most striking is that they did not respond to her either. He said it was as if they did not recognise her or know who she was.

I went to the local shopping centre (Bridgepoint) but there were Zali-Zombies at the front entrance. I went around to the back entrance and there were more. I knew of one more entrance – an unremarkable door near the ramp to the carpark – there were more.

Now I am in a state. I keep expecting to find more of them wherever I turn. Just now when I opened the cupboard to get a tea bag I expected one to be in there. I turned on the tap to put water in the kettle and almost shatted a cup – and no, that is not a misspelling. I almost shat a cup. I know I am going to lie in bed tonight straining my senses into the dark, springing bolt upright at the odd sounds that attend night. And in that half-awake state I will feel myself pinned and immobile in my bed and imagine a Zali-Zombie bobbing toward me like a Macy’s Parade figure, smiling at me but to himself, the infinitesimal but powerful particle of evil at his core bending all its malice like a lens to its one thought of burying me under Zali pamphlets.

I am going to get some water from the fridge now. Wish me luck.

Good article in Quadrant On-Line about the contest in Wentworth.

The photo of Allegra Da Big Spender with her mother, sister and baby grand piano is a perfect illustration of the modern wealthy “liberal” green, totally disconnected from the need to struggle to put food on the table, clothes on the body and a roof overhead.”

Yes, I’ve just read it. I disagree with the writer about “holding his nose” and voting for Sharma. No, I can’t in good conscience do that, not after Sharma crossed the floor. It is clear to me that Sharma doesn’t have a Menzian Liberal bone in his body. I’m now resigned to Allegra Da Big Spenda winning. The electorate of Wentworth, like the electorate of Warringah, will reap what it sows.

I’ve long thought that the Liberals need to say farewell to electorates such as the one I live in. Three years ago, on election day in May 2019, I campaigned for Dave Sharma (what a fool I was), I spent hours hours on my feet, at one point I was the sole Liberal handing out HTV cards at the booth whilst surrounded by a phalanx of hostile forces, Phelps’ volunteers, Greens, GetUp and Friends of the ABC, all breathing fire at me. I had an altercation with one of the Friends of the ABC when he tried to enter the polling booth. I pulled him up, which of course he didn’t like very much and I told him if he did that again I’d report him to the AEC. I only had someone to talk to when the Labor people arrived….it’s funny but I’ve campaigned on election day many times and I find the only people that I get along with are usually Labor campaign workers. They’re always quite nice and up for a chat, there’s usually some cordiality. Anyway I digress, I had been left there by my fellow Liberal, also a resident of Wentworth who popped away to attend to some private business. Early in the day we were chatting and I remember his face when I said to him that “one day, sooner or later, the Liberal Party will have to walk away from electorates like Wentworth”. He was clearly bothered by my statement and he recoiled and said “Noooooo”.

Well, I’ve been proven right. Sharma will lose the seat to a grifter and puppet who’s also a very rich, entitled eastern suburbs moron who doesn’t give a shit about anyone west of Pyrmont but you know what? Nor does Sharma so now I don’t care if he loses. There’s no difference between Sharma and Spender in terms of ideology. Both are greenies, both are “progressives”, both are equally vacuous, and as you correctly wrote above, both are “totally disconnected from the need to struggle to put food on the table, clothes on the body and a roof overhead “. Such obscene selfishness sums up the electorates of Wentworth, Warringah, Kooyong, Goldstein, North Sydney, Curtin, Higgins and a few others. It’s encapsulated by Da Big Spenda’s campaign slogan, a slogan which everyday, when I’m walking to the bus and back, and I can’t stop laughing when I see her posters (which are everywhere) emblazoned with the following words….”Let’s create a better climate for Wentworth“, which is basically the following message to all those who don’t live in Wentworth, “we’ll continue lining our pockets with subsidies for ruinables so that we can continue to live our marvellous existence, to go skiing every year, to drive our SUV’s, to renovate our huge mansions, to travel overseas twice a year and to send our children to private schools and you, the great unwashed…..you all need to shut your fucking mouths because we know what’s best for you”.

Yes, they’re like some species of demented rodents. Her gormless mug is plastered up wherever you go and,if that wasn’t bad enough the sad sack supporters are everywhere around here(lower Northern Beaches).

Some time ago and, in all seriousness one of the neighbours told me that-

‘Zali’s doing great things!’

With a certain amount of sarcasm I asked-

‘What in particular?’

‘Getting groups together to teach them composting! ‘

Composting, I shit you not.

Mr Vanderluen is having a good day today, when he hits his stride he is very good.

Noted In Passing: Galileo, the Finger. Galileo’s preserved middle finger of the right hand, as per a religious relic mounted under glass. Captioned as “Some people always have to have the last word.”

On the issue of Amazon wanting to fix Matt Walsh’s books.

WokeProg Report:The Syphilis Spirochetes have reached their brain.

During my “career” in publishing, I edited and published more than 200 books for Houghton Mifflin in all areas from fiction to science fiction to Tolkein to history to science to politics to social concerns… all subjects. Never once in all those years did I think or hear anything remotely like the sheer malicious mendacity and calm fascist drivel oozing out of the mouths of these moral cretins. It simply didn’t occur in the editorial meetings, the corridor chats, or private encounters with one’s superiors behind closed doors. It didn’t occur because of some secret agreement on publishing from a stiff set of ideological principles. It didn’t occur because we simply didn’t have that kind of structure in our brains.

What those self-inflated Amazon bags of flatulence are bluttering about should be deeply shameful to any person who believes in the principles of free speech. Yet these diseased minds seem to be both shameless and clueless. This tells me that the rot is deep and broad. This tells me the tumors cannot be cured with anything less than a hot wire cauterization deep inside the skull.

Russia has launched a hunt for British SAS forces allegedly fighting in western Ukraine. Kremlin’s Investigative Committee will look into “the facts of the activities of British SAS saboteurs in Ukrainian regions”. Russian President Putin’s forces are searching for at least two SAS squads that may have been deployed to Lviv. The Kremlin’s investigation is based on alleged revelations made by captured Ukrainian soldiers.

If the Russians find British squads in Ukraine, this is an act of war.

I was borne in Britain, and although I’ve never been big on patriotism, I’m currently feeling more sympathy for Putin than BoJo. Not that it’s much, they’re both shits. But BoJo is marginally shittier.

Exactly how is that Lawryesque hypocrite gong to achieve this? As the writer of the Quadrant piece noticed, that part of Sydney already has an extremely pleasant climate.

These people are too stupid to even warrant being noticed, yet given their overweening smugnorance it’s effectively impossible to do so (the Tink billboard and Steggles’ demented drones being classic examples).

Reminder, we haven’t seen a single piece of evidence that RUS airborne transports were taken out over Gostomel airport.

This report is from overnight.

U.S. intel helped Ukraine protect air defenses, shoot down Russian plane carrying hundreds of troops (28 Apr)

As Russia launched its invasion, the U.S. gave Ukrainian forces detailed intelligence about exactly when and where Russian missiles and bombs were intended to strike, prompting Ukraine to move air defenses and aircraft out of harm’s way, current and former U.S. officials told NBC News.

That near real-time intelligence-sharing also paved the way for Ukraine to shoot down a Russian transport plane carrying hundreds of troops in the early days of the war, the officials say, helping repel a Russian assault on a key airport near Kyiv.

“From the get-go, we leaned pretty heavily forward in sharing both strategic and actionable intelligence with Ukraine,” a U.S. official briefed on the matter told NBC News. “It’s been impactful both at a tactical and strategic level. There are examples where you could tell a pretty clear story that this made a major difference.”

Names not given for security reasons, but the journo obviously knows who they were who told him on the record. You can believe what you like but the report strongly implies that the US defense establishment do themselves think at least one transport was shot down. Since the Kiev sector has now been finished with by both sides I don’t see why they would fake it this long afterwards, normally they’d just stop talking about it (like the amazingly reincarnated Snake Is guys).

Activist Pamela Moses will not face a second trial over illegal voting registration accusations, the Shelby County District Attorney announced Friday.

Moses was sentenced to six years by a judge in January, after she was found guilty of making or consenting to false information on an election document.

But that same judge later granted her a new trial, saying information about a previous conviction should not have been considered by the jury, and that a document from probation officials was not disclosed at trial. A trial had been set to start April 25.

Friday, District Attorney Amy Weirich said her office was dismissing the illegal registration case and the violation of probation against Moses “in the interest of judicial economy.”

Observing whiteness in introductory physics: A case study

3. Whiteboards
Entangled with the above is the use of whiteboards as a primary pedagogical tool.
Though whiteboards have been shown to have a number of affordances when they are used as a collaborative tool that all members have access to [88], in this episode, they also play a role in reconstituting whiteness as social organization.
In particular, whiteboards display written information for public consumption; they draw attention to themselves and in this case support the centering of an abstract representation and the person standing next to it, presenting.
They collaborate with white organizational culture [89], where ideas and experiences gain value (become more central) when written down.

S-217622 – Japan’s Oral COVID-19 Drug Under Review for Approval

I was in contact yesterday with a counterpart in Japan who now works for Fender(!). He couldn’t believe what had happened. We did a lot of work together helping PAJ become more aligned with the international standards for aircraft refuelling equipment.

A lot of it consisted of “what the heck does this mean?!”, me taking a photo of an example and sending an explanation, “oh, is that all”.

He really did an amazing job. He invited me to his house to have dinner and to meet his family, a great honour. He also organised a trip to a sword shop after he found out I had an interest in them. Great sense of humour to, we tried to get him and his mate to climb into a Mitsubishi tank in Saipan with their hard hats on, then he realised that it would give us a great piss-take photo so he told us to get stuffed!

I don’t understand the righteous anger angle and huffing about ‘Acts of War’ at allegations of perfidious NATOist saboteurs running about.

For the last 8 years, it was patently obvious that the Donbass insurgencies were being run, directed, supplied and even manned in some instances by Russian line troops, militiamen and Spetsnaz. In the absence of a formal Russian declaration of war on Ukraine on the rebels’ behalf at the time.

The terrible unintended consequences of the Biden presidency (unless they were intended)

From the moment Donald Trump rode down that escalator, the American left began its campaign to destroy the man and prevent him from being elected. Leftists’ efforts included falsifying a fraudulent banking scheme, wiretapping his phones, and the fabrication of the Russia hoax. Despite all their devious and illegal plans, to their horror, Trump won the election, so they doubled down, determined to drive him from office.

For nearly three years, with the aid of the FBI, the DOJ, and the CIA, they sought to make absolutely certain he could not be re-elected. The Clintons, the Obamas, and their activist worker bees in and out of Congress worked tirelessly to destroy Donald Trump. For four years, Marc Elias traveled state to state to get election laws changed to facilitate the cheating they planned. Nancy Pelosi let the cat out of the bag when she said, “I feel very confident that Joe Biden will be elected president on Tuesday. Whatever the end count is on the election that occurs on Tuesday, he will be elected, on January 20th he will be inaugurated President

She knew the fix was in. David Bossie’s film Rigged lays out how Mark Zuckerberg funneled at least $400 million into numerous states for the drop boxes that, as Dinesh D’Souza’s film 2000 Mules will show, were used to submit false ballots by the thousands.

Thanks to investigative journalists Peter Schweizer and Miranda Devine, we know that Biden and his son Hunter are congenitally corrupt and virtually owned by the Communist Party of China. They also used Ukr@ine as a financial playground, as did the Clintons.

Donald Trump was the best president in modern American history. If he were still in office, if the election had not been fraudulent, we would still be energy independent. He would have ended the lockdowns and the mask and vaccine mandates, and the economy would have begun recovering much sooner. The southern border would be secure. There would be no war between Russia and Ukr@ine.

When Obama came to office, he liked to think he was elected to manage our decline. It was Obama who weaponized the FBI, the CIA and the DOJ. Obama hated America; he set back race relations at least fifty years.

Can all this damage done be chalked up to stupidity and incompetence, or is it by design? Is the Biden administration being run by his handlers in China and the arms dealers here who need war to line their pockets?

Does anyone know?

The report of British SAS previously on the ground in Ukraine may/may not be true but if so, they may well have been ex-SAS rather than serving soldiers as that would be an enormous risk to the UK if one or more were captured.

Alternatively, it may have been false information so Russia expended time/effort. Wouldn’t be too hard to seed the UKR troops with stories of British SAS in country in the knowledge that some UKR will eventually be captured and subsequently release info to the Russians.

(sadly for BRADBURY his $250 will be both spent & forgotten by May 21 .. LOL!).. lotza folk liking UAP & Pauline but know they aren’t gonna be in a position to give anything away sooooo …!
Labor is playing the “climate” game in the media to, hopefully, sway folk in “middle” marginal seats cos they ain’t doing it in south west Sydney .. then again. other than the occasional & pointless swipe at KK out here (she will have no problems getting in .. that’s why FOWLER was selected .. LOL!) outside of the media there is little mention of an election .. even the corflute & bill posters mob(s) are scarce ……
The only electoral interest really is who is gonna be most on the noze, come the day .. BRADBURY or AnAl ..!

But it isn’t news that PHON will be directing prefs to the ALP in a range of lower house seats.

Sounds more like Election Sweepstakes than Election Lotto.
Election Lotto will be a 5 x 5 square chart, with pithy predictions like
“Jacqui Lambie calls someone a dog”,
“Crabb throws to Turnbull”
“Star candidate quits UAP”
“Bitter concession speech retracted”
” ‘Teal Wave’ ”
etc etc.
Your predictions below please Cats. The funniest will make my chart, with shots of hard liquor to be placed upon, to be downed by their sponsor when and if they actually occur on my non-denominational election night pissup.

Wanna buy a piece of a shot down Su-34?

Here’s a Fun Way You Can Stick It to Putin (27 Apr)

Drones for Ukraine has a unique fundraising tool: Donate $1,000 or more to their effort to procure modern drones to defend against the Russian invasion, get a genuine piece of aircraft skin from a downed Russian jet fighter.

“Just donate $1000+ to support Ukrainian army and we’ll send you this tag recycled from a downed Russian plane (it’s literally a piece of it with little engraving).”

“Made in Russia, Recycled in Ukraine” is a pretty gutsy tagline, too.

Only 129 Fullbacks are known to have been built for the VVS, seven of which are believed to have been shot down or otherwise lost in Ukraine.

That makes these bits of aircraft skin pretty rare birds, if you’ll pardon the pun.

It doesn’t say if you can choose a bit of an Il-76 instead though. Maybe for that you have to ask American officials.

We had blackboards when I went to school, the teacher used to write on them with white chalk. I never saw blackboards as “reconstituting blackness as social organization,” maybe I wasn’t paying attention during class.

Eight thousand of them is a lot of advisors. Less now though.

Nearly 3,000 of Russia’s notorious Wagner mercenary group have been killed in the war, UK MPs told
(22 Apr)

Close to 3,000 members of the private military company Wagner Group are believed to have been killed on the battlefield in Ukraine while fighting for Russia, British MPs have been told.

The statistics were shared with the Commons Foreign Affairs Committee by investigative website Bellingcat’s top official Christo Grozev who confirmed the toll.

Citing sources from within the Wagner circle, Mr Grozev said that his investigation website was informed that the numbers fighting alongside the Russian troops were “much higher” than expected, according to a report.

MPs were told that close to 8,000 Wagner mercenaries had been deployed in Ukraine.

Very dangerous advisory work it seems.

The Beloved had to go out to the car to get a suitcase and on his way ran into a fellow who had just moved in to the next door unit. A second take, the Beloved said to him, “You look familiar – I think I know you. Are you from xxx?”.

“No. I’m from Tasmania. I’m probably familiar because I headed up the Greens.”.

Bob Brown.
