I’ve looked at the radar near Captains Flat near Canberra when rain was forecast to find rain sweeping over my place, but for some strange reason when going outside no rain and didn’t look like it.

True. It was capturing mist here yesterday.

Tinta, many here, including you, predicted that the NDIS would be a disaster. It was flawed in inception and went downhill from there.

On one hand, we had the widespread fraud thanks to a system with holes a semi could drive through. On the other, we had radical activists demanding that the NDIS pay for sex services.

An obvious problem was cutting off access when people became eligible for the age pension.

One of the ‘architects’ is on the review committee. No conflict of interest, apparently.

In truth, there were no ‘architects.’ It was a political thought bubble handed over to bureaucrats. And it came to be, incrementally, by and for bureaucrats, with predictable results.

Plenty of others go the other way – they become fervent supporters despite increasing evidence that they have been harmed. This is an example of ‘cognitive dissonance reduction’ – they deal with the ‘oh shit I made the wrong decision and got harmed’ thought by subconsciously suppressing it instead.

This explains why plenty of incompetent surgeons etc have loyal patient followings.

Those of you who were getting concerned about government limitations on Panadol were quite correct.
The Online Chemist I usually use, is demanding details on OTC medications if they go over a very small undefined limit. Whether the details are just them being busybodies or for sale to outside parties is information not available to me.
However Chemist direct has just delivered 4 x 100 tab boxes @ $2.95 per box without further questions.
So it looks like the other online chemists are on a bit of a fishing expedition.
Also our local IGA is still selling Box of 20 for $1.09 – no limits.

Boris Johnson is his own worst enemy, as are the Conservatives. In power since 2010…yes….2010, the Tories have done nothing to reverse the Blair/Brown years, they have done nothing to rein in big government, they have done nothing to depoliticise the police force, they have done nothing to curb both legal and illegal immigration. Instead, like our own stupid fucking Liberals, they’ve pursued grandiose Green dreams such as net zero emissions, big spending, big government, Brexit lite and so on.

Nigel Farage is right, the Tories are terminal.

I’ve said many times that Boris fibs and lies could and would have been forgiven if he and his government had pursued and implemented some real conservative economic and social policies. Two years ago, when BLM and leftist scum were pushing statues into Bristol Harbour, when BLM and leftist scum were vandalising statues of Winston Churchill, all over the death of a sleazy thug thousands of miles away, Johnson and his coterie of cowards said nothing.

Just like our own SFLs, they’re cowards. Just like Morrison and co have gifted us an Albanese government, the Tories will now gift the UK a Starmer/Rayner government, and that ain’t gonna be pretty.

The spike the instructions give is to build the structure that the Chinese said to build. What could possibly go wrong? I’ve read that is isn’t quite the same as the original spike in the original virus.
Tagging of western populations for future release of a bioweapon that only kills the tagged? Note the Chunks don’t use the western vaxxes.

Who was it said that the great catch 22 of welfare is that the only societies which can afford it are those that dont need it?

The NDIS is just the latest iteration of the ever expanding welfare state which has by now largely domesticated the great majority of the population – most people are now old/fat/sick/dumb/lazy and thats the whole point. The human herd is being farmed like cattle by our overlords, and their ‘Big food/pharma/medicine/wind…’ partners.

Humans are now thoroughly domesticated, and, like pandas, don’t breed (or do anything else productive) well in captivity.

Just like our own SFLs, they’re cowards. Just like Morrison and co have gifted us an Albanese government, the Tories will now gift the UK a Starmer/Rayner government, and that ain’t gonna be pretty.

No, they are globalists.
The new British PM is a globalist.
They work for and are sided with globalism and the WEF.
To now deny this is something a cowardly truth denier like Sancho would do, ……
They are not spineless.
They are traitors and excusing their actions as just cowardice, or as sheer careerist idiocy, is in itself, a form of denialism.
The only thing a few of them would be scared of is being knocked off by the globalists.
Hence you see someone like Lizz Truss go from attempting to be the second Thatcher, to dead silent and resigning.

The truths that are now undeniable to the most ardent deniers are.

The vaccines were meant to kill and maim.
Millions, maybe a billion or two.
There has yet to be any proof brought before any court that covid even exists and would not have been called a seasonal cold before 2020.

The vaccines are not vaccines, don’t work as vaccines, but like all vaccines (if they were) , don’t stop transmission of a virus.
The concept that you can take a vaccine to stop others getting a virus is bunkum, rot, insanity, crazy non logic that requires a person to be overcome with fear to believe.

Many who got jabbed are in denial because the reality of what they have done to themselves is too much for weak minds to cope with.
That the exact same types of tyranny happened at exactly the same time using the same slogans around the world , but especially the west, proves global co-ordination.
The proof has been available from the start, way back with CEPI’s behaviour and the likes of Jane Halton.
The continued destruction of the west using laughably stupid reasons and excuses and how it’s happening, and what the WEF, UN davos monsters are saying prove it to be globalism.
Commos attempting to take over the world as they have seen a great opportunity with emerging technology.

Why this is so hard for people to accept comes back again, to denialism.

You don’t want the truth to be the truth.
Or to quote Hollywood….you can’t handle the truth.

As you say, and I’ve said, a lot of what is done under the NDIS should be done by State health departments and Medicare, especially in mental health, which has been dumped into a non-existent ‘community’ care while the extensive grounds of old mental hospitals have been flogged off as valuable land.

To say nothing of the insurers getting a 30% boost in profits because the NSW LIBERALS changed the legislation to slash benefits to people injured in Motor Vehicle accidents and when they can’t work where do you think they will end up?

And of course the ‘community’ care never happened for people with mental illness who had short stays in places like the grounds of Callan Park — they were portrayed as places people never left — what BS if all those who’d had short stays in that purpose-built hospital it would have been overcrowded by the beginning of the 20th century.

But of course everyone should have have equal rights to sleep under a bridge

I suspect the goal all along was to get the WUHAN spike into you naturally via infection, but this fell over early when it mutated into a more minor form, forcing them to go to plan B – injecting it into you under guise of a ‘vaccine’ instead.

S1 1s a seriously toxic protein that damages every major body organ. There is nothing “mild” about omicron, the initial symptoms may be mild but the long term damage is cumulative unless addressed early. Omicron is certainly not just a “cold”.

Nobody has actually checked what proteins the mRNA in these injectable are actually coded to produce. Nobody knows what happens to mRNA fragments that produce incomplete proteins and what the outcomes are.

That they insist on tagging people with an extinct viral fragment needs answers. The deafening silence on excess deaths and reduced births speaks volumes about what is going on.

With hindisght the 1967 referendum, for all the genuine concern and good will towards indigenous folk that the result exhibited, was a trojan horse that entrenched more power in Canberra at the expense of the states and with the predictable disastrous outcome for those it was ostensibly supposed to help.

It would be a disaster for the Overlords plans if we had cheap, plentiful energy.

I posted a long time ago a summary of an argument by Michio Kaku (hope I spelt it right).
He (and I) argue that human advancement (progression) comes then there is a cheap, available to all, abundant energy source. History provides the examples of advancement (e.g. a stick provides leverage, …, fire, coal, gas, fission, [fusion], etc, hey everybody has a stick!).
The point being is that if it ain’t cheap and it ain’t available to all and it ain’t abundant then forget it, human advancement stops.

Artificially creating energy shortages stops human advancement, stone, cold, dead.

Dr Faustus

I’m old enough to remember the heartbreaking tales of desperate love from aging parents caring for profoundly disabled children. People who absolutely deserve, in fact demand, help from a civilised country.

Just after the 2007 Federal election I was at a meeting in relation to disability called in Malcolm Turnbull’s electorate and was invited along as an observer by one of the attendees. In that meeting, as was the case in so many meetings I’d attended, the room was full of elderly, white-haired parents with severely disabled sons and daughters, worried into anaemia as to what would happen when the parents died.

Person after person asked that question of Malcolm Turnbull, what will happen to ‘Peter/Peta when I die’? At almost the end I said to Malcolm Turnbull Look at these elderly people, they are your constituents, were you so disconnected from them that you didn’t know they existed? why wasn’t this addressed by your government? Why? I could see the colour drain from his face he was absolutely livid with my impertinence.

At the time, his electorate officer was a university friend of my older son’s, he called me and said Mrs di Luna I understand you had several points to make to my boss. I sure did and by your call you must have known of his discomfiture.

The NDIS is a debacle I think by intention not accident

Thinking about real estate ‘statistics.’

I read this morning that prices in Sydney had dropped by 10% ish overall, 16.5% in some ‘desirable’ areas, less in the western suburbs.

So, if Ritchie Rich north of the harbour drops his price from $5m by 10% to $9.5m, that’s half a million. If he drops it by 16.5%, it’s another $825,000.

These paper and/or outlier numbers should be eliminated fron real estate numbers.

Indigenous player Donnell Wallam was said to be uncomfortable wearing a uniform with the company’s logo

Which, apparently, they were not going be wearing anyway.

Andrew Gaze has condemned Gina Rinehart for failing to distance herself from her father’s comments about Indigenous Australians.

Guy is dead. How much more distant can you get? If he wants to know what Gina’s attitude to Aborigines is they can find it in all the money Hancock contributes to them. This is at best, superficially, about punish her Dad. In reality, I reckon it is about making Gina bend the knee.

“I am not blaming Gina Rinehart for her father’s comments, but what I don’t understand is why she won’t very publicly disassociate herself from them,” Gaze said on SEN The Run Home.

She never associated herself with them. Other people are making that association and then demanding she be responsible for breaking the connection.

“If my dad had said that, or if my uncle, or anyone associated with me, or if my friend said it, (I would say), ‘I love this person, I’m still going to love him, but I’m going to educate him, I’m going to say, no, that is not the right way to deal with that issue, it is actually vile what you’ve said’.”

Why should we assume that his way of handling things is the only legitimate way. Or even best way. I note he speaks as in his hypothetical of people who are alive (unless he is going to ‘educate’ their tombstones). But we know what ‘educate’ means in these circumstances. They are the teacher, other people are the student. The teacher knows, and the student is ignorant. Why would anyone think Gaze so wondrously enlightened compared to themselves.

If I had a friend who had another friend whom I did not like (or even an ideologically wayward father!), but my friend gave to me generously, I would not be asking them to apologise for, or to distance themselves from their wayward friend (or father). I would not be demanding they tell me they are bad. I would be content to judge my friend on their own merit, and consider that in their own mind the sum of their feelings about this that and the other is to help me. I am not going to tell them to think differently to be ‘better’.

Whatever Gina’s thoughts about what her father said, publicly denouncing even what might have been his flaws is still to denigrate him.

Besides. The offenderatti will never be satisfied. If you give in an inch they just up their demands next time.

“If I can be held accountable for the actions of every South Sudanese person in Australia, then Gina Rinehart can acknowledge the actions of the man she inherited her fortune from,” wrote Melbourne-based South Sudanese artist, Atong Atem.

This argument depends on whether Atong Atem actually holds herself “accountable for the actions of every South Sudanese person in Australia”.

If she does (which would be a fairly extreme position) – and apologises for the wrongdoings of others – she has a personal point to make.

Otherwise, if she’s really complaining about being blamed for others’ misdeeds, she should understand Reinhart’s position.

There’s only one way out of it, but to verbalise it means ASIO/Feds turning up to confiscate our bread knives – just in case.
Then building a Psychiatric Prison somewhere to keep us safe in.
And there will always be someone who would dob you in – just look at the White Rose movement in Germany ’39/45.

A priest dies and is waiting in line at the Pearly Gates.

Ahead of him is a guy who’s dressed in sunglasses, a loud shirt, leather jacket, and jeans.

Saint Peter addresses this cool guy “Who are you, so that I may know whether or not to admit you to the Kingdom of Heaven?” The guy replies “I’m Jack, retired airline pilot from Houston”.

Saint Peter consults his list. He smiles and says to the pilot “Take this silken robe and golden staff and enter the Kingdom”.

The pilot goes into Heaven with his robe and staff.

Next, it’s the priest’s turn. He stands erect and booms out “I am Father Bob, pastor of Saint Mary’s for the last 43 years”.

Saint Peter consults his list. He says to the priest “Take this cotton robe and wooden staff and enter the Kingdom.

“Just a minute” says the good father. “That man was a pilot and he gets a silken robe and golden staff and I get only cotton and wood. How can this be?”

“Up here, we go by results” says Saint Peter. “When you preached, people slept. When he flew, people prayed”.

Not one single thing in that spiel of yours is new or news to me, Sancho.

Should be obvious as I said I was speaking of possibilities if Boris was given a second go. I am on record here finding much of his behaviour in Office to be severely wanting, and his developing dick-led greenism was an Achillles Heel he needed to see a podiatrist about immediately.

He does have leadership capacities that have been demonstrated elsewhere and he has the ear of the red wall still. No-one else does, or will have, in the current conservative leadership (until the younger hopes step up which won’t be by the next election, which if Boris isn’t around to claw back that wall will usher in Labor, as here). At least he was elected by the people, which still counts.

I still hold he would have been preferable to the WEF Rishi Sunak. I may be wrong, not denying that.

These paper and/or outlier numbers should be eliminated fron real estate numbers.

Absolutely right. That’s why the responsible writers quote median house price. Given the way demand is very steady at the lower priced end and very lumpy at the upper end, and sellers very reluctant to drop once their expectations have been set, its hard to get a meaningful and responsive market indicator without looking at a lot of base numbers.
‘Mean price dropping’ is a terrible indicator to use.

My take on Gina vs Netty Straya.
The endgame was twofold:-
.1 Make Gina issue a grovelling apology and bow down before them; and
.2 Keep the money.
First they had to get Gina to own Lang’s heinous crimes and issue humble ‘pology.
But the apology wouldn’t be enough. This requires reparations.
But how to pay money to sports organisations without triggering ‘digenous players, for whom the simple knowledge that they were being funded by Lang’s Legacy would be too much?
Well, what we need is a blind trust run by ’eminent retired sportspeople’ (think Norda, Fitzsimian, Goodes, Craig Foster) to then distribute the cash to ‘worthy’ sports.
How much is enough?
Well, $100 million a year in perpetuity should do it.

I’m hoping Dutch-linked Aruba doesn’t get the frights and refuse us entry because we are sure there is Covid on board. All staff have now been instructed to wear masks – which our bartender tonight said was because a lot of people were ‘coughing’ and on another ship all the bar staff went off sick. Interestingly, very few passengers are wearing masks, even most of the ones pushing around walking frames. We get the feeling it was don’t ask, don’t tell, re Covid until we were through the canal, as the ship would have rioted if turned back a second time (there are a few second-time triers like us on board).

Hairy has noticed little unobtrusive red dots on a few doors in certain corridors (including ours).
A signal for careful entry for staff attending some doing a 5 day in-room stay?

We feel sorry for the staff all masked up again. Their brief release from that was so much appreciated.

One thing’s for sure says Hairy, and that is that Florida, America’s premier cruise ship hub, isn’t going to get antsy about Covid two weeks before the mid-terms with De Santis up for re-election. So we expect to be able to get off and grab our hire car and take off to Cape Canaveral for two days.

In the 70’s FIL taught Real Estate valuation. 10% either way of valuation was within cooee. In those days banks very rarely lent to lenders without a reasonable deposit. The only place we’ve ever paid asking price is the one we live in now and that was due to looking for close on a year, not finding anything suitable. Every other purchase was well under asking. When buying property you make most of the money if finding the right place and doing the least to it to bring it up to the next price point. When you sell, the market decides how much, not what you think it owes you. Of course these days the councils and government have their fingers in the pie for no or very little effort.

mechanic or a plumber

You may need to think again. I don’t know about mechanics, but the plumbing and gasfitting qualification requires an ability to do hydraulic designs. And I’m pretty sure there isn’t an app for that, all roofs and drains being different.

There is definitely a market for the simple art of planting plants and laying paving. And the fine art of steel fixing is well paid, but hard, hard yakka.

Aim for their strengths. If they like something that has future potential let them go for it because often autists are lost deep in a subject and can emerge with exceptional skills.

That is, GOP control of the Senate got crunched.
Haven’t seen much change from the couple of Australian based guys who are making markets.
Fetterman was just so bad.

CARDINAL ZEN ON TRIAL
by Tim Busch
10 . 25 . 22

It says a lot about Communist China that Beijing feels the need to arrest and prosecute a frail ninety-year-old Catholic leader. It says even more that Cardinal Zen is accepting his plight with such grace and courage. With his trial on trumped-up national security charges set to resume on October 26, Zen appears fully prepared to continue his Christian ministry from behind bars. The regime may think it’s punishing him, but in fact, it is making him into the martyr that Beijing should fear most.

I knew Mark Waugh was a good bloke. Here he is in The Hun, calling for Captain Alinta to get the arse:

Australia is “so far off the pace” at the T20 World Cup that former selector Mark Waugh has called for a bold change and urged the panel to drop Pat Cummins for Friday’s must-win clash with England at the MCG.

As he savaged a “pretty ordinary” performance in Perth on Tuesday night, despite Australia claiming a win over Sri Lanka, Waugh said Cameron Green should not only replace Cummins in the team but he should also open the batting instead of captain Aaron Finch.

Waugh said Finch’s unbeaten innings of 31 off 42 balls, with just one boundary, was “torturous” and he needed to be shuffled down the order if the defending champs were any chance of beating England.

“It just doesn’t feel right watching Australia. They are not a happy camp and they looked like they are lacking confidence,” Waugh told RSN on Wednesday.

“I think Australia need to think about making a change or two for the next game. I’d bring Cameron Green in for Pat Cummins, and I’d let Cameron Green open the batting. That’s the one change I would definitely make.”

And:

“I think the selectors have been very, very conservative for the past six months. It’s time to grow some kahunas.”

Cummins went for 20 runs in the final over of the Sri Lankan innings in Perth, and he has figures of 1-82 in two World Cup matches so far.

Preach it, Junior. Preach it.

I got up this morning and when I opened the door I was hit with a blast of cold air that was not consistent with The Bureau (as they want to be called now). Five minutes later I was being pummelled by a balmy shower – again not forecast.

New Study: COVID Vaccine Effectiveness Turns Negative Over Time

From Armstrong Economics –

“By now, we all know multiple people who have been triple vaccinated but still caught the virus numerous times. CDC director Rochelle Walensky even came down with COVID last week despite following the “science.” Researchers with Moderna and Kaiser Permanente found that the effectiveness rate of three doses was over 50% after 150 days against a version of the Omicron variant. However, the study also found that the effectiveness of the vaccine turned NEGATIVE between 91 and 150 days, depending on the strain.

A negative vaccine reaction means it leaves the patient (victim) more susceptible to catching the illness. This is not the only study that found that COVID vaccine effectiveness turns negative within months. Moderna is attempting to brush this study under the rug, but now there is proof that the vaccines are, in fact, making people sick and lowering their natural immune responses.

If there were any legitimate health agencies left, they would immediately pull the COVID vaccines from the shelves. Instead, they continue to promote these deadly potions to the most vulnerable in our population.”
