FBI WHISTLEBLOWERS: WHAT THEIR DISCLOSURES INDICATE
ABOUT THE POLITICIZATION OF THE FBI AND JUSTICE DEPARTMENT
Republican Staff Report Committee on the Judiciary U.S. House of Representatives
November 4, 2022 – 1,050 Page Report
Executive Summary
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the stewardship of Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, is broken. The problem lies not with the majority of front-line agents who serve our country, but with the FBI’s politicized bureaucracy. The problem lies, for example, with the FBI hierarchy that spied on President Trump’s campaign and ridiculed conservative Americans. The problem lies with FBI bureaucrats who altered and mischaracterized evidence to federal courts, circumvented safeguards, and exploited weaknesses in policies governing investigations and informants to target politically disfavored subjects and to protect favored ones. The problem lies with the FBI structure that centralizes high-profile cases in D.C., in the hands of politicized actors with politicized incentives.
Quite simply, the problem—the rot within the FBI—festers in and proceeds from Washington.
Over the last year, a multitude of whistleblowers have approached Judiciary Committee Republicans with allegations of political bias by the FBI’s senior leadership and misuses of the agency’s federal law-enforcement powers. These whistleblowers have risked their careers out of fidelity to principle and a commitment to restoring public trust in the FBI. This report begins to tell their stories.
Even at this early stage, one startling conclusion is clear: the FBI and its parent agency, the Justice Department, have become political institutions.
This report details the problems, as recounted in whistleblower disclosures and other forms, that undermine the FBI’s fundamental law-enforcement mission. Whistleblowers describe the FBI’s Washington hierarchy as“rotted at its core,” maintaining a“systemic culture of unaccountability,”and full of“rampant corruption, manipulation, and abuse.” Whistleblowers describe how the FBI has abused its law-enforcement authorities for political purposes, and how actions by FBI leadership show a political bias against conservatives.

FBI is ‘rotted at its core,’ Republican lawmakers say
The agency has been politicized, corrupting America’s top law enforcement entity, a GOP report has claimed
America is no longer a country where citizens are afforded equal justice under the law, as guaranteed by their Constitution, because the nation’s top law enforcement agency has been corrupted by politicized leadership and a “woke, leftist agenda” being imposed from the top, Republican lawmakers have claimed.
The allegations were contained in a 1,050-page report released on Friday by Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee. The report, which was based on information gathered from 14 FBI whistleblowers who came forward to expose a pattern of misconduct, argued that the agency was “rotted at its core.”
“Quite simply, the problem — the rot within the FBI — festers in and proceeds from Washington,” the report said. “The FBI and its parent agency, the Justice Department, have become political institutions.”
The report detailed such abuses as a secret partnership in which the FBI receives private information on conservative users from Facebook, without seeking their consent or going though the legal processes that would normally be required to tap such data.
Whistleblowers also alleged that the FBI “looked the other way” on dozens of attacks against anti-abortion groups, even as the agency sent heavily armed teams of officers to arrest pro-life activists at their homes for alleged violations of selectively enforced crimes. Parents who spoke out at school board meetings over controversial policies were targeted by investigators as alleged terrorists.
At the same time, former FBI official Timothy Thibault “shut down” a probe into the overseas business dealings of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and attempted to keep the case from being reopened, the report said. Thibault openly displayed his political bias in social media posts that included his official title.
“America’s not America if you have a Justice Department that treats people differently under the law,” Representative Jim Jordan, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News on Friday. “It’s supposed to be equal treatment under the law. That’s not happening, and we know it’s not happening because 14 brave FBI agents came to us as whistleblowers and told us what exactly is going on here.”
The report also accused the FBI of inflating statistics on domestic extremism to help fuel a narrative promoted by President Joe Biden’s administration. FBI employees who have conservative views are being purged from the agency, it claims.

Ukrainian Starlink units go dark over funding issues – media
Kiev is concerned about losing access to Elon Musk’s internet service if the US or UK doesn’t step in to pay
Some 1,300 Starlink satellite terminals went offline in Ukraine last week due to a failure to pay the military’s internet bills, deepening fears that the country will no longer be able to afford the pricey satellite service, two sources familiar with the situation told CNN on Friday.
The terminals, all part of a block purchased from a British company in March, began to go dark on October 24 for lack of funding, causing a “huge problem” for the military that depended upon them.
Aware the bill was coming due and that they would be unable to pay it, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense asked its UK allies for $3.25 million to cover the monthly cost and rotated the terminals out of use so they wouldn’t wink out at a critical moment. However, their request was turned down.
Starlink parent company SpaceX alerted the Pentagon in September that it could no longer pay the full cost of Ukraine’s Starlink usage, asking Washington to pick up the slack, according to CNN. With approximately 25,000 Starlink terminals in Ukraine, Musk estimated the military’s use of the service would cost nearly $400 million over the next 12 months. Fewer than 11,000 were being paid for at the time he wrote to the Pentagon.
Musk then appeared to change his mind about footing the bill for the service a few days later, tweeting “We’ll just keep funding Ukraine for free.”
However, a senior defense official told CNN SpaceX has continued negotiating with the Pentagon, adding that officials are eager to get Musk to commit resources in writing because they fear he will change his mind.
He has reportedly refused to operate Starlink in Crimea, fearing this would invite an escalation from Moscow, while Western media have accused him of hindering the network’s operation by Ukrainian troops in Russian-controlled areas, which Musk denies. Last month, he warned that even though the company has “diverted massive resources toward defense” as the Russian military attempts to take the system out, “Starlink may still die.”
Moscow believes Starlink is a legitimate target, reasoning that the US and its allies have been using “elements of the civilian space infrastructure, including commercial, for military purposes.” Because this “essentially constitutes an involvement in military action through a proxy,” the “quasi-civilian” satellite network is fair game, Russian diplomat Konstantin Vorontsov told the UN last month.

Biden promises to shutter US coal power plants
(Mimicking Australian Federal Labor – Tanya Plibersek amd Anthony Albasleezy)
The US president wants to see “wind and solar” replace coal-fueled power plants
Speaking at an event in California on Friday, US President Joe Biden said his government intended to shut down coal-fueled power plants “all across America” and replace them with wind- or solar-powered generators.
Biden was in San Diego as part of a West Coast trip to fundraise for Democrats ahead of next week’s midterm elections. During a speech on Friday, the president reminisced about visiting a former coal power plant in Massachusetts, which had been repurposed to wind power generation. He said this happened because continuing to use coal was just too expensive – presumably due to the costs imposed by government regulations.
“We’re gonna be shutting these plants down all across America, and having wind and solar,” Biden told the audience.

Ukraine, Batman and complex identities: Key takes from Vladimir Putin’s latest speech
The Russian president marked National Unity Day by speaking at a gathering of historians
Russian President Vladimir Putin honored the country’s National Unity Day by meeting with historians and dignitaries – including leaders of religious communities – and discussing the role of history in protecting national sovereignty, identity, and culture. Here are some key points from his speech and the subsequent discussion.
1. Conflict in Ukraine was “inevitable”
2. The West twisted Ukraine’s history
3. A civil war, just like 1917
4. Weaponizing the distortion of history
5. The colonial era is over
6. Batman, or historical heroes?
Putin also opted to broach a slightly less political issue. During the question-and-answer session, he noted that academic work won’t be enough without teaming up with popular culture and merchandising.
Russian children “know of Batman but not of our own heroes,” Putin said, noting that historical education starts from an early age. “There should be cartoons, films, children’s literature… All of these things are needed. That’s why we’re here today, to nudge this process forward.”
If not, okay, they’re just off their bonce.

In Affirmative Action Program, Starbucks Forced To Hire One Straight Male Barista
U.S. – In a groundbreaking affirmative action program aimed at diversifying its workforce, Starbucks has hired its first and only straight white cis-male barista.
“At Starbucks, we believe all people deserve the dignity of a good job, including straight white men, even though they are the worst,” said CEO Laxman Narasimhan. “We hope this paves the more for many other terrible, awful colonizers to find gainful employment with Starbucks Co. Even though they don’t deserve it and should probably just die. Ew.”
“This is a huge day for me,” said seventeen-year-old Milwaukee high school student Charles Smith. “I’ve never even made out with a dude or taken artificial hormones before. I can’t believe I was hired!”
Starbuck’s Chief Diversity Officer Raya Chugbot also applauded the decision, saying a straight cis-man would be a great way to round out their national workforce of gay people, trans people, and gay trans indigenous Skokomish people. “We welcome Smith to the team. Diversity is our strength!” said Chugbot. “Also, I hope he dies. Gross.”
Smith thanked Starbucks for the opportunity and said he looks forward to working with his local team of 28 members of the LGBTQ+ community.
UPDATE: After 4 months of employment, Smith is now gay.
Things have to get a lot worse before they can start to get better, history tells us the people only wake up when their bellies are empty.

Dover, that ‘New Amsterdam’ clip at the Twit link is just bizarre.
Actually, my first thought when it opens and the guy is looking at his darling daughter might have been meant to communicate his apprehension for his daughter’s future.
Maybe.
My immediate thought at the sight of his daughter, adorable and doing cute kiddy things, was that she could have been snuffed out. That she, so the logic would go, and for all of the richness of her existence, had no inherent right to exist. She needed her parents’ permission to exist, which permission could be withdrawn with no recourse and for even trivial and selfish reasons.
I suppose these people really are wired differently. Lots of short circuits, I think.
Interesting, some 3 way contests going on Euroa is one of them. Betting market has lumped the Liberals and Nats together, saw the Nat’s candidate at the footy in Seymour at a GVFL Semi Final. Surely there would be better candidates around Euroa than her? She looked still very wet behind the ears for my liking.

OMG! Jason Whitlock GOES THERE! “Nancy Pelosi Spent Her Money on Pair of Cans and All Her Husband Wants to Do Is Play Hide the Hammer” (VIDEO)
Jason Whitlock: What I have to stand up and defend, I’m outraged for Nancy Pelosi. This woman has taken the hard earned money she’s made from insider trading and invested it on a pair of cans at 82-years-old and comes home to find out her husband’s playing hide the hammer with a Black Lives Matter guy! You talk about disrupting the nuclear family. The black lives matter crew must be ecstatic because this guy’s doing it and so is Paul Pelosi. I’m upset for Nancy on a pair and he’s not interested…
…Are you suggesting that my information that she spent her money on a pair of cans, are you saying that’s bad information? I’ve seen a lot of evidence I’m feel real comfortable. She’s trying to entice her husband but he’s interested in playing hide the hammer on a Friday night with some weirdo!

Leak – Yep, they aimed to make fossil fuels more expensive then acted shocked and outraged when that actually happened.
Knight – Tom cut off the right side of the image but I guess the hungry dog is emblazoned with the title of Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission of Victoria. Great, but illegal activity is only half the story, how about everything the VicPubes did that was totally legal and yet wrong relative to community standards? In the full picture there would be a ravenous rottweiler of IBAC and a curt chihuahua of community standards.
Broelman – I get Chris Bowen is going to COP27 held in Egypt but I don’t know why he would apparently be broaching a metaphorical wedding to some kind of Cleopatra of Climate Change. Albo has already wedded the country to Net Zero, there’s nothing left to be married off.
Moran – Bleakly superb. Self-appointed amnesties ring hollow at the best of times, but when the scars in education, public health, and institutional goodwill were between long-lasting and life-ending, it is a very bad joke.
Christian Adams – So the Santa-esque Musk will be delivering some kind of Twitterverse Christmas present perhaps, but the significance of the “eP45” on the screen is a mystery. Possibly the P45 is reference to The Orange Man, but the “e” muddies the waters.
Margolis – Yes well when Clarence Thomas backs decisions convenient to the Republicans he is lionised by the conservatives and when he lets any of the Dems off the hook for any reason he is suddenly recast as their puppet.
Goodwyn – Daylight savings time may not be a convenience to her personally in her lifestyle, but that does not mean there are no reasons for it.
Garrison – Perhaps only Gen X and above will infer this possible reference to the movie Joe Versus The Volcano. The true size of the Red Wave is still to be determined and a clean sweep by Republicans would not qualify as a Mega Maga Volcano unless the margin was huge.

It’s a no brainer, dude.
Boomer?
(Warning: bit of a rant about whether vaccinated people can still be moral. (Answer is ‘yes’.) SBe warned so you can sroll if you wish.)
I’m not a boomer.
Here is another thing I note when people blanket denounce those who took a vaxx: an obstinate refusal to understand the people they condemn.
I have previously set out the reason I took the vaccine (well, A vaccine). Suffice to say I was motivated purely by compassion for someone else. I will say no more than that because recounting their misery to try to resuscitate some atrophied organ of humanity long since pronounced dead in the heart of some so-called ‘pure blood’ is just too sordid.
But I will as this: my reasoning – which extended beyond reason itself – was fobbed off by someone from ‘buffets and hutches’ as…sophistry.
What a ridiculous accusation. What kind of a person has a soul so base and narrow that there is no thing or person they will not put before themselves; that they will not take a risk to themselves in order to support or succour someone else?
I believe these Lords High Justices who pass judgement upon we lesser beings aren’t up to the office they have assumed. ‘Boomer!’ They don’t arraign real people and their particular circumstances. Instead they prosecute figments if their imaginings.: a whole vast species of uniform traitors, cowards, and general misanthropes.
But why? Why do they do this?
Is it because these dreadful people are in such dire need of judgement? Well, no. Because they aren’t real.
The imposture is that purebloods have pure minds. In reality I believe these people have, shall we say, ‘simple’ blood. They create these bogey men so they can indulge themselves, and tell themselves how important, and worthy of the concomitant respect, they are.
It is an ancient and undignified craving.
I shall finish with this observation. If you are condemning people for not saying ‘no’ (regardless of their particular inescapable situation) on the basis that if everybody had said no the government overreach would have been stopped in its tracks – that is, if your strategy would depended on millions of people without any knowledge of your scheme and coordination in executing it nevertheless falling into line with your plan, then you didn’t really have a workable plan to start with, and any judgement you issue on that basis is worthless.
And makes you look more than a little silly.
Want to understand why I think Fox News polls are contemptible trash(apart from the advice of Baris and Barnes)? See below:
Will Lucy Move the Football Again?
Most Americans over the age of thirty are familiar with the long-running Charles Schultz comic strip Peanuts, depicting the everyday experiences of Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Snoopy, Peppermint Patty, et al. One of the recurring skits involved Lucy holding a football and getting the ever-hopeful but achingly gullible Charlie Brown to kick it; at the last minute, Lucy would jerk the football away and Charlie would kick nothing but air, ending up on his back, humiliated again.
Year after year this skit would appear around the beginning of fall, with a supposedly wiser Charlie at first refusing to participate, but eventually succumbing to Lucy’s pretty lies and blandishments, only to be fooled again when she’d snatch the ball away at the last minute.
Republican voters are painfully familiar with this scenario, for it has been inflicted upon them by the Republican Party in real life in election cycle after election cycle. Despite their ongoing treachery, the reality of the nation-destroying policies of the Democrat Party — and the GOP’s pretty promises and frightening visions of life under continuing Democrat control — usually convinces GOP voters to hold their noses and again vote for Republican career politicians. Then the cycle repeats: feckless, cynical Republican officeholders again ignore their hapless voters and support all manner of unconstitutional policies and laws, often playing “bipartisanship” with the very Democrats they so demonized during the campaign.
And there is hope, for some of those running for House and Senate seats are not the “good ol’ boys” of the GOP establishment like Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, Kevin McCarthy, et al. If they’re to be believed, J.D. Vance, Blake Masters, et al, actually recognize that it has been Republican inaction and malfeasance that has helped lead to this destruction. Should they win the Senate, their first move must be to ditch McConnell as majority leader, and start us on the path of undoing the damage of the past two years caused by the Democrats (with the help of the GOP establishment).
But they had better not “move the football” again. If this new breed of GOP politicians “go along in order to get along,” that will be the death knell of the Republican Party. More importantly, if the Republicans win majorities in the House and Senate and don’t immediately, actively, and decisively roll back the Democrat idiocy of the past two years, it will be the end of this nation.
So, the ball is teed up… we, the voters, are going to “kick the football.” What are you going to do, Republicans?
Indolent:
That’s a very good point, unfortunately it looks like the oligarchy are making enough money to 1. Stop customer based competition to enter the market, and 2. The current model is satisfying the current demand.

Just had an interesting conversation with a FIFO worker who is former soldier.
Was one of the soldiers who had to take a malaria drug before going to Timor. He blames a particular female officer from the Army Malaria Unit. Says drug came from USA but modified here. Says he and many others had a bad reaction and that there is a class action in relation to it.
He says Timor veterans have far more issues than Afghanistan ones.
More recently been a FIFO working going into WA. Due to Timor experience did not want to take Vax but had to for work. He mentioned problem of 2 weeks quarantine for WA workers. Says got to point where was causing so much problems that Santos pretty much got their workers an exemption to quarantine.
I Googled the Timor case and quite a lot of articles about it. Naturally Army fought the case and would not admit a problem. Former battalion commander says informed consent an issue in Army as pretty much have no choice. Can’t find a recent article about any legal case.
Blundering Biden goes full Ebenezer Scrooge on coal, days before the midterms
In a move that surely had his tapioca dealers talking themselves back from the ledge, the President stated that they would be shutting down coal-fired power plants ‘across America’.
West Virginia may be the first state that comes to mind when one thinks of coal country, but Pennsylvania is a close second and is home to one of the key senate races of this election.
Democrat senate hopeful, Fetterman, was likely stunned by Biden’s recklessness … and her husband probably was too.
You hear that, Pennsylvania? He’s coming for your coal plants.

The Victorian Liberal Party has unveiled a new campaign modelled entirely off CFMEU election posters which refer to Daniel Andrews as a “prick”.
The 15-second advertisement, to initially run on social media platforms, takes inspiration from the powerful construction union, which warned members that “Dan might be a prick, but he’s a prick who’s delivering for construction workers”.
The Liberal’s rendition includes footage of angry construction workers taking to the streets in their hi-vis in protest of lockdowns during 2021.
“Remember when we hit the streets to protest against Daniel Andrews world record lockdowns?” the advertisement states.
“Remember when Andrews forced us to get the jab or lose our jobs?
“Now even our own unions are admitting he’s a prick.
“Don’t let him get away with it. Put Labor last.”
The advertisement comes just a week after the CFMEU’s ad was plastered on social media.

The ABC News app’s headline:
Nancy Pelosi’s husband’s clever ploy saved his life. But US politicians fear what’s to come
What was the “clever ploy”, you might be thinking. Well…
If you believe this story, you probably aren’t allowed to interact with strangers unmonitored because such credulous people are easily taken advantage of. So somehow this guy successfully broke into Fortress Pelosi in order to confront Nancy (who was, unsurprisingly, in DC) but encountered hubby instead and held him hostage with a hammer. But also was totally cool about letting him have an unsupervised bathroom break. The official account of what happened is laughably implausible.
However, if you thought picking up rough trade in San Francisco these days is entirely free from risk, the Paul Pelosi saga will disabuse you of this belief.
Second fact.
While attending supermarkets and corporations allowed to remain open, you let the tyrants tell you to stay away from your local cenotaph and not gather on Anzac day to pay your respects to those who served and sacrificed for the freedom you gave away with your submission.

Zero-sum, hostage-taking games: What you need to know about COP27
More than 35,000 delegates are expected to attend the event in Egypt. For a year in which no major decisions are officially expected, it’s a substantial gathering.
World leaders will meet in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on November 6 for two weeks of climate negotiations as nations struggle to cut greenhouse gas emissions amid a global energy crisis, war in Europe and rising inflation.
Where is COP27?
The meetings are being held at Sharm el-Sheikh, an Egyptian resort town on the Red Sea coast. There are two main sites for the event: the Blue Zone and the Green Zone.
The Blue Zone, based at the Sharm el-Sheikh International Convention Centre just south of the town centre, is where the official negotiations will be held. That space will be managed by the United Nations, and is subject to international law.
Across the road in the Peace Park Botanical Garden will be the Green Zone. That area will be run by the Egyptian government and will be open to the public.
What is COP27?
COP stands for Conference of the Parties, with “parties” referring to the 197 nations that agreed to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 1992.
The 197 parties, including the United States, ratified the treaty to address “dangerous human interference with the climate system” and stabilise levels of greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere.
The UN climate body convenes those governments once a year to discuss how to address climate change together. This is the 27th time countries have gathered under the convention – hence, COP27.
What is the goal of COP27?
The ultimate goal of this year’s conference is in dispute. Wealthy countries want to focus on ways to help developing nations phase out fossil fuels and transition to renewable energy. Developing countries want a commitment on money they need to address the climate-fuelled disasters they are experiencing.
Specifically, poor countries want a new fund to pay for things such as relocating vulnerable villages or simply making up the economic growth lost to worsening floods, storms and heat waves. Industrialised nations, including the United States, have opposed a new fund in part because they fear being held legally liable for the increasing amount of damage caused by climate change.
This is the first climate summit in Africa since 2016. Many diplomats hoped it would be an “African COP” in focus as well as location, given that African nations face some of the worst effects of climate change.
Who will be at COP27?
More than 35,000 delegates are expected to attend the event, including US President Joe Biden and more than 100 heads of state, according to the UN climate body. That is smaller than last year’s summit in Glasgow, which brought together 120 world leaders and more than 40,000 registered participants. But for a year in which no major decisions are officially expected, it is still a substantial gathering.
Did countries do what they said they would do at COP26?
No. But some have begun to do so. The United States, for example, passed a law this year to invest $US370 billion to pivot the country away from fossil fuels and toward emissions-free energy such as wind, solar and nuclear power. It is expected to get the US close – though not all the way – to its target of cutting emissions at least 50 per cent below 2005 levels by 2025.
Who should pay for those and other costs, and how?
Those questions could spark intense debate at COP27.
You say that like it’s a bad thing. As it happens, I keep two*, of which neither are full time because a) I quite like doing my own thing, and b) I’ve been on that ride before.
Didn’t want to appear to be ‘that bloke’, but since you keep mentioning it you deserve an honest answer.
