Dot I think he moved it on at a profit

He’s quite an interesting guy. Literally everything he owns is for sale at the right price. He sold a Nissan GTR back to the dealer after 6 months at a $10k profit because the dealer had someone else lined up. Could follow you into a revolving door and come out ahead. Happy to place big bets. The complete opposite of me.

In many respects, all four characters [in Sex and The City] were akin to drag queens, repulsive, which is how Star and many homosexual men see women. They despise us.

Outstanding post, Cassie at 10.44am.

Male homosexuals dominate the arts, especially television, and they spend much of their creative energy trying to sell their perversions to normal people through the stereotypes they use.

Youngish mum in a cotton dress and Birkenstocks with several plastic bags full of plastic bags was most distressed when Woollies staff told her they weren’t taking them anymore.

Since none of the staff knew why and she was so perplexed I gently told her Redcycle had gone bust.

“But what do I do with these?”

“Throw ’em in the bin, luv” was the helpful, if rather obvious, advice of the crusty nylon clad Woollies lady.

“But…the dolphins!” her eyes seemed to cry out.

And she walked away, her little ones still clinging to her dress, as if in mortal fear of the strange, uncaring world about them.

“Why? She should be ignored. Does anyone take her seriously?”

Alternatively, it might be quite a good idea to stick a microphone in her face at every opportunity and disseminate her thoughts as widely as possible. That lack of a high school education combined with youthful arrogance is sure to hit home.

The people that take her seriously are the types that think she would resonate with the youth. Monty in other words.

I told Elon, in a soft voice that was nonetheless filled with conviction, that I needed our life to change. I didn’t want to be a sideline player in the multimillion-dollar spectacle of my husband’s life. I wanted equality. I wanted partnership. I wanted to love and be loved, the way we had before he made all his millions.

the delusion of the modern woman, to be an “equal” she needed to go out an make $100m or even the first million like elon, not just claim the crown by entitlement. knock yourself out woman.

Elon agreed to enter counseling, but he was running two companies and carrying a planet of stress. One month and three sessions later, he gave me an ultimatum: Either we fix this marriage today or I will divorce you tomorrow, by which I understood he meant, Our status quo works for me, so it should work for you. He filed for divorce the next morning. I felt numb, but strangely relieved.

Eight years after I signed the postnup, I began to understand just what I’d done. I had effectively signed away all my rights as a married person,

no you signed away your ability to steal what you didnt earn

Although I am estranged from Elon — when it comes to the children, I deal with his assistant — I don’t regret my marriage. I’ve worked through some anger, both at Elon for rendering me so disposable, and at myself for buying into a fairy tale when I should have known better.

the only fairy tale you bought into is being an equal to one of the most successful man in human history, one that is changing the course of civilisation. you learnt nothing but to reinforce your delusions.

There was a farmer who had a brown cow and a white cow and he wanted to get them bred, so borrowed his neighbour’s bull and turned it loose in the pasture. He told his son to watch and come in and tell him when the bull was finished. “Yeah daddy, yeah daddy” said the little boy.

After a while the boy came into the living room where his father was talking with some friends. “Say, Pop” said the boy. “Yes” replied his father. “The bull just farked the brown cow”.

There was a sudden lull in the conversation. The father said “Excuse me?” and took his son outside.

“Son, you mustn’t use language like that in front of company. You should say ‘the bull SURPRISED the brown cow’. Now go and watch and tell me when the bull ‘SURPRISES’ the white cow”.

The father went back inside the house. After a while the boy came in and said “Hey, Daddy”. “Yes, son. Did the bull surprise the white cow?”

“He sure did, Pop! He farked the brown cow again!”………………………….

Throughout history smuggling has been the antidote to Big Government

Please, they are merely “poor honest men” struggling to fulfil consumer demand.
See Kipling:
Your jar of Virginny
Will cost you a guinea,
Which you reckon too much by five shillings or ten;
But light your churchwarden
And judge it according,
When I’ve told you the troubles of poor honest men.

From the Capes of the Delaware,
As you are well aware,
We sail which tobacco for England-but then,
Our own British cruisers,
They watch us come through, sirs,
And they press half a score of us poor honest men!

Or if by quick sailing
(Thick weather prevailing)
We leave them behind (as we do now and then)
We are sure of a gun from
Each frigate we run from,
Which is often destruction to poor honest men!

Broadsides the Atlantic
We tumble short-handed,
With shot-holes to plug and new canvas to bend;
And off the Azores,
Dutch, Dons and Monsieurs
Are waiting to terrify poor honest men.

Napoleon’s embargo
Is laid on all cargo
Which comfort or aid to King George may intend;
And since roll, twist and leaf,
Of all comforts is chief,
They try for to steal it from poor honest men!
With no heart for fight,
We take refuge in flight,
But fire as we run, our retreat to defend;
Until our stern-chasers
Cut up her fore-braces,
And she flies off the wind from us poor honest men!

‘Twix’ the Forties and Fifties,
South-eastward the drift is,
And so, when we think we are making Land’s End
Alas, it is Ushant
With half the King’s Navy
Blockading French ports against poor honest men!

But they may not quit station
(Which is our salvation)
So swiftly we stand to the Nor’ard again;
And finding the tail of
A homeward-bound convoy,
We slip past the Scillies like poor honest men.

‘Twix’ the Lizard and Dover,
We hand our stuff over,
Though I may not inform how we do it, nor when.
But a light on each quarter,
Low down on the water,
Is well understanded by poor honest men.

Even then we have dangers,
From meddlesome strangers,
Who spy on our business and are not content
To take a smooth answer,
Except with a handspike…
And they say they are murdered by poor honest men!

To be drowned or be shot
Is our natural lot,
Why should we, moreover, be hanged in the end,
After all our great pains
For to dangle in chains
As though we were smugglers, not poor honest men?

Is there a more useless, less customer friendly firm than Telstra? Sure, Jetstar could be, but at least you know what you’re getting or can anticipate it with a no frills airline. Telstra is just useless. They moved their customer service operations out of the Philippines, which turned out to be a third world disaster, and returned the call centre back to Australia. Now they have zero customer service as they don’t want to pay the huge bucks. That limey CEO was a total disaster, but he was great at one thing only, which was keeping his job.

Good news!

What do oranges, coffee grounds and seaweed have in common? They outshine cotton in sustainable fashion (20 Jan)

Ever considered the carbon footprint of manufacturing your favorite shirt?

Amid the overconsumption of traditional fibers, several global fashion brands have started to adopt new fibers derived from seaweed, corn, and mushroom. This includes Stella McCartney, Balenciaga, Patagonia, and Algiknit.

Other emerging natural fibers include lotus, pineapple and banana fibers. Lotus fibers are extracted from the plant stem, banana fibers are extracted from the petiole (the stalk that connects the leaf and stem), and pineapple fibers are extracted from pineapple leaves.

The process of extracting fibers from wastes such as orange peels, coffee grounds, and even from the protein of waste milk, has also been well researched, and clothes have been successfully manufactured from these materials.

I’ll have the shirt made from coffee please. Uh oh, bad news:

Here’s how your cup of coffee contributes to climate change (6 Jan)

The pollution resulting from the preparation of coffee at home is just the tip of the iceberg.

Before you can enjoy a cup of coffee, it goes through several steps, starting from the agricultural production of the coffee beans, their transport, the roasting and grinding of the beans, right up to the heating of the water for the coffee and the washing of the cups it is poured in.

These steps, common to all modes of coffee preparation, consume resources and emit greenhouse gases (GHG). … This mechanization, irrigation and use of nitrous oxide-emitting fertilizers — the production of which requires large quantities of natural gas — greatly contribute to coffee’s carbon footprint.

Ok so no coffee shirts then. Interestingly the first one is from a RMIT Vietnam associate professor. RMIT does get around these days.

The besieged residents of Alice Springs saw something this week they had rarely seen in recent years: police in control of the town. And they immediately smelled a rat.

Highway patrol cars pulled over vehicles, mounted police were brought in from Darwin and caged police trucks cruised the main strip in force.

“Someone’s here in town; they’ve cleaned the joint up,” one local remarked, as the cavalcade drove past.

He was right: the Northern Territory police commissioner and police minister had flown in.

The residents of this blighted town have good reason to be cynical.

Police launched a similar blitz only last month, but very soon life had returned to what now passes for normal in Alice Springs.

Daylight home invasions, car theft, vandalism and the constant threat of physical violence have made the CBD a no-go zone, plagued by out-of-control youths, often drunk.

The figures tell the story: a 25-50 per cent surge in assaults, domestic violence, home invasions and commercial break-ins in the past year alone. At least 300 people arrested in the town of 25,000 in the past seven weeks. Many of the perpetrators are Indigenous; so are many of the victims.

Todd Mall, once a thriving hub of Indigenous art galleries, restaurants, pubs and cafes is now a collection of dozens of boarded-up and shuttered shops.

Before Covid the town was heaving with backpackers; some businesses would have five to 10 backpackers a day looking for a job. Now, it is rare to see a single tourist.

Homes are being raided by youths armed with edged weapons including machetes, hunting knives, axes, tomahawks and sharp “number seven” boomerangs.

Locals – Indigenous and non-Indigenous alike – point to young men and women who have come to the town from “out bush”, fuelled by alcohol, as the cause of much of the recent trouble.

At 2pm, a steady stream of customers start entering the dozen or so bottle shops scattered around town. Sitting on stools at the entrance of one of the more popular stores in the heart of the town are two police officers, one sipping from a can of Coca-Cola.

Entering the store, one officer inconspicuously turns on his bodyworn video camera before asking The Weekend Australian: “Are you buying any alcohol for anyone?” Where will you be drinking? Who are you with? Where are you staying?” before we’re granted permission to proceed further into the store.

Takeaway liquor venues made a show of trying to limit sales on Thursday, banning the sale of bottles one litre or larger.

That simply prompted locals to buy two 700ml bottles instead of the single litre they had initially planned.

When The Weekend Australian visited a bakery on the town’s outskirts, almost every customer who entered had been affected in some way by the violence.

Owner Darren Clark has had his home, car and business broken into or damaged 36 times in the past 18 months. “We’re scared of the violence, we are scared to go to sleep overnight, to lay in our beds, we’re scared to go out to the CBD, to be in our cars,” he said.

“It’s only a matter of time before we have tragedies here and the repercussions of that, who knows what happens.”

Mr Clark said community issues were being brought into the town, with street fights occurring to settle disagreements from different regions.

“This is not a racial problem in this town, this is a behavioural problem,” he said. “It’s just a few that are making this bad, people coming in from the communities, they’re not coming in for the right reasons. They’re coming in to drink and drink excessively.”

Mr Clark said the violence had escalated since the Stronger Futures laws lapsed, making alcohol legal in many Aboriginal town camps for the first time in 15 years. “At the moment, I’ve never seen anything like it – it’s bad.”

I was wondering when this one would happen. There’s been a sizable amount of layoffs in tech world of very last.

Layoffs in the technology sector continued on Friday with Google’s parent Alphabet GOOGL +5.34% and Wayfair W +20.25% announcing steep cuts, citing concerns about the economy.

Alphabet (ticker: GOOGL) CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in an email to employees made public that the firm would lay off 12,000 workers, representing 6% of its global workforce. Also on Friday, Wayfair (W) disclosed plans to lay off 1,750 employees, or 10% of its global staff. Microsoft (MSFT) CEO Satya Nadella said in a blog post on Wednesday the company would cut 10,000 jobs through the end of the fiscal third quarter, or fewer than 5% of employees.

Will Zelensky Resign?

From Armstrong Economics –

“As for Ukraine itself, we are approaching a very critical turning point on April 6th, 2023. It is entirely possible that Zelensky might flee if the discontent gets the foothold it is seeking for an impeachment. There is rising discontent that Zelensky has betrayed Ukraine and some are hinting that perhaps it is payback for the Neonazi’s persecution of the Jews and how he married a Christian and baptized his children, all to blend in to hide his Jewish heritage.”

My hatred of Telcos is only surpassed by my hatred of banks. Late last year my dear, but easygoing (unlike me) husband was duped by a clever hacker into coming within minutes of allowing the installation of a device on our computer. Although it was apparent that the hacker had not completed his mission ( I came in from the paddocks & disconnected the call), we tried to contact ANZ head office immediately to safeguard our accounts. It was some 45 hair raising minutes before we could get through. The senior officer we spoke to seemed competent & completed necessary transactions & assured us our accounts were not compromised. However, she added that she would contact us the following day to confirm. She did not, of course. Nor could we reach her in the following 24 hours. Within the same period, of course, we had our computers professionally “cleaned” & new safety devices installed. But there was absolutely no follow up from the ANZ.

Apple CEO Tim Cook requested a pay cut that the board accepted last week. His target compensation this year will be $49 million, down from a target of $84 million in 2022.

Bit of background from The Register

Apple said in its proxy statement that its annual “Say on Pay” vote, which lets Apple shareholders vote on executive compensation, received just 64 percent approval at the 2022 annual meeting – the first clue that something was wrong.

“This result was a notable year-over-year decline, as our annual Say on Pay proposals have received much higher levels of shareholder support for many years,” Apple said.

Apple said shareholders it spoke to were happy with Cook’s leadership, but “consistently cited the size and structure of the 2023 and 2022 equity awards granted to Mr Cook” as their reason for voting no.

On the subject of no fault divorce I read an idea that pre-nups should be mandatory.

the problem with pre-nups is they are routinely swept away. the slightest inconsistency in declarations, claims of change of circumstances, (ie now have kids or no job), didn’t understand what it really meant. was pushed into it (told me wouldn’t marry without pre-nup). etc etc etc. the law would need to change to prevent the trivial dismissal of pre-nups and make them binding.

These demons did not have to have a real threat to get people to kill themselves, all they had to do was produce the illusion and the deal was sealed.

Covid-19 is the flu and colds and pneumonia renamed, millions of illegals are allowed to cross the border and not one had to take the genocide clot shot, members of congress and their staffs are exempt, members of the UN are exempt , as are the WHO, the CDC, the NIH, etc., etc., it is all a scam an psyop, the biggest scam and psyop in the history of the world, this is not about health, it is a depopulation agenda, driven by some of the most evil demons in the history of the world.

Eight years after I signed the postnup, I began to understand just what I’d done. I had effectively signed away all my rights as a married person, including any claim to community property except our house, which was to be vested in my name once we had a child. But my lawyer is presenting a legal theory that could render the postnup invalid. A postnup, unlike a prenup, requires a complete financial disclosure because of something called “marital fiduciary duty”: the obligation of one spouse to be honest and straightforward in financial dealings with the other. Around the time we signed the agreement, Elon was involved in a significant merger between X.com(opens in new tab) and a company called Confinity. Together, the two became PayPal and raised the value of Elon’s X.com(opens in new tab) stock by millions of dollars more than what he reported on the postnup. Whether this was deliberate or an oversight, according to my lawyer, it could render the contract fraudulent, and thus invalid — if it weren’t for the protection of mediation confidentiality. That period ended not when we left the lawyer’s office or when we got married, but only once we’d signed. The question that will determine the outcome of our divorce case, which has been winding its way through the California legal system for more than two years, is a legal one: Should mediation confidentiality trump marital fiduciary duty, or vice versa? Two years after our separation, we ended up in court. The judge ruled in Elon’s favor, but stressed that the case was “a long cause matter” and immediately certified it for appeal. Resolution is at least a year away.

The Irish get crazier by the minute:

Enoch Burke has two weeks to launch an appeal after he was dismissed from his teaching post yesterday, following a chaotic disciplinary hearing.

Mr Burke is entitled to appeal within ten working days after Thursday’s ‘stage 4’ hearing to decide if he should be fired.

The teacher, who spent three months in prison for defying a court order to stay away from his school following a row that started over the preferred pronouns of a transgender pupil, was informed of the decision yesterday.

In Melbourne they were in almost continuous work except for a couple of weeks when Andrews ordered a two week shut down.
I also recall the federal government tipping in a generous incentive to encourage building works called ‘Homebuilder’.

In Melbourne they were in almost continuous work

Same in SA.

Son in Law had a terrible time trying to hire tradies during 2021/22. At times, they would simply not show up, eg, the plasterers had agreed on a start date two or three weeks away, so the bathroom tilers were hired to follow them. At the last minute, plasterers were a no show, so tilers had to be rescheduled, wasting weeks and disrupting the completion date.

Every tradie he contacted/hired was flat out. Two – a concreting gang and the plasterer – managed to score better offers above their outrageous prices and so they simply left SiL in the lurch. I doubt that any were going hungry.

I know the Kennedy assasination was rehashed here a week or two ago. For most of my life I’ve been on the ‘Oswald alone’ group. Now I’m really beginning to wonder. Tucker Carlson wouldn’t be saying this without a good source.

That’s what happens when trust is lost – EVERYTHING becomes suspect.

January 20, 2023
Tucker Carlson said something very brave about Nixon’s political demise

I always find Tucker Carlson’s monologues interesting, and that’s true whether I agree with him or not. I also find that he’s very brave, speaking truths that others in the media either oppose or are scared to utter. Thursday night saw Tucker take one of his bravest stands yet, advancing a spin on Watergate that, if true, puts him in the Deep State’s crosshairs and, if he’s wrong, makes him look utterly foolish.

Tucker’s monologue began by pointing out that Biden is the architect of every existential disaster facing America today. It’s impossible to argue with that. Indeed, the only argument is the one coming from the left, and it’s a shift in perspective, not one in fact. To the left, Biden’s open borders, support for the Ukraine War, attacks on individual liberty, and the war on American moral and cultural norms (including his support for racial divisions and transgenderism) are all good things that purify America.

Where Tucker went beyond the obvious into the land of bravery was to say that the Deep State was behind John F. Kennedy’s assassination and, when Nixon started nosing around, the Deep State took him out too:

(If you don’t want to watch the video, this article summarizes it.)

As I said, when you put yourself out as Tucker did, you’re either right and the Deep State may come for you, or you’re wrong, in which case you risk your credibility. I’ll just add a couple of observations.

Carlson continued:

On June 23, 1972, Nixon met with the then–CIA director, Richard Helms, at the White House. During the conversation, which thankfully was tape-recorded, Nixon suggested he knew “who shot John,” meaning President John F. Kennedy. Nixon further implied that the CIA was directly involved in Kennedy’s assassination, which we now know it was. Helms’s telling response? Total silence, but for Nixon, it didn’t matter because it was already over. Four days before, on June 19, The Washington Post had published the first of many stories about a break-in at the Watergate office building.

Unbeknownst to Nixon and unreported by The Washington Post, four of the five burglars worked for the CIA. The first of many dishonest Watergate stories was written by a 29-year-old metro reporter called Bob Woodward.

Carlson went on to reveal that Woodward “wasn’t a journalist,” he “came directly from the classified areas of the federal government.”

With “top-secret clearance,” the host stated, Woodward “worked regularly with the intel agencies” before he was inexplicably hired by The Post and handed “the biggest story in the country.”

If all of this is starting to sound a lot like Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files,” that’s the point.

MK-ULTRA, COINTELPRO, and a host of other constitutional violations by the U.S. intel agencies were the subject of the 1970s Church Committee, which exposed the Deep State to the American people and was meant to put an end to the Orwellian programs.

Following the release of the Twitter Files and the clear weaponization of our media, our DOJ, and our intelligence agencies, Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was forced to promise, among other things, a Church Committee 2.0 before he was handed the gavel he so desperately craved.

With Thursday’s monologue, Carlson wasn’t trying to set his career on fire on national television, he was showing that history is repeating and rhyming right before our very eyes with the convenient discovery of classified documents in Joe Biden’s possession.

The Deep State is done with Biden, Carlson believes and is orchestrating his removal from the White House.

Not really. More and more is coming to light about the insidious CIA and how this snake pit has manipulated world affairs and ruined millions of people’s lives over the decades. JFK is just one chapter, although a very prominent one.

This book was written by a lefty so that is to be said, But it throws up a lot of insight as to how the CIA works and their true motives; The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America’s Secret Government

Put this book’s content alongside the more recent cesspool of CIA sinister adventures; Trump and Russiagate, Brennan, Ukraine , NSA 5 Eyes etc etc and the picture becomes quite clear. The US is not a true Republic or a Democracy. That’s all a facade, theatre of the plebs.

I don’t think that is correct.
The House Select Committee on Assassinations was set up because of unanswered questions about 3 Political Assassinations in 9 in years.
JFK [1963]; Robert Kennedy [1968]; Martin Luther King [1968]; and
the shooting of Governor George Wallace on the 1972 Campaign Trail.

Ex Chilean Ambassador Orlando Letelier was also gunned down in Washington’s business district in 1976, a hit that was likely Intel related.

Yep. It is heartbreaking to see no (or limited) personal consequences to those who make stupid decisions (decisions so stupid even my dog would not make them) ruining the lives of others.

Example: Jacinda Ardern. For what she did not NZ she deserves to be shackled & chained in a pit dungeon, in the cold damp dark, fed rotten scraps, until eventually it is realised the scraps haven’t been eaten for a few weeks. Then fill the hole in.

Instead, she loses nothing, not even receiving a good thrashing or sequestration of her (questionably accumulated) wealth.
