I like Taki. He its less scurrilous than in the past, something that needs to be addressed.

Attendees listened intently and cheered her to the rafters. She got a cool million for an hour-long speech, which is more than Boris or Blair could ever hope for. And it wasn’t even her specialty—she’s an ecdysiast—but during the recent Hedge Fund Week in Miami, Kim Kardashian was the star speaker. It tells me all I want to know about hedge fund managers, as I had a good teacher long ago, one John Bryan of toe-sucking fame.

No “man” dares to intervene?

Unless you’re armed and prepared to kill them both, and prepared to run the gauntlet of activist judiciary, and are prepared to fight for your life every day in prison if you get a bad outcome. No.

Just caught up with the thread after spending the arvo reading the Australian headline material and all attachments to it that had anything worth reading in them.

lol, here’s one that wasn’t worth reading: Nikki Gemmell is opining that she wants a “sex-free life” from her husband – as they are both so busy, what with her being an entitled feminist and all, and him still bringing home the bacon too. It seems that Nikki and her mates, now older girls with kids grown up, gotta rest n’sleep and get away from the hairy old snoring bloke in the bed beside her. In that case, I should inform the dear lady that she is inviting her husband to find another lady, possibly younger, far more interesting than her good self, the happening of which will come as a huge shock to her outraged sensitivities. You have to work attentively at marriage, darling, both of you together. It doesn’t just keep rolling on while you busy yourself elsewhere.

Not quite so JC.
A defence minister’s office that permits staff to “get on the piss” with Defence contractors is not deserving of any respect. They are undermining the tax payers’ interests.
In retrospect I am grateful to my outfit in Europe that enforced a strict ‘no social contact’ rule with customers.
Most offended by this were Australian pollies who expected to be shown a good time as their right.
The Brits of course lavished entertainment (and apparently more) upon customers and prospects. This may have been one of the reasons why our competition was so vigorous and why we rarely achieved JV’s with them.

Dilip Lowie must be replaced by an RBA outsider

Yeah, no.

I’m no longer a conservative, but apparently an anarchist (and an anti-christ) for advocating the obliteration of institutions that the former might want to “conserve”, for example:

Universities
The bureaucracy
The ALPC
Corporations

I want them completely wiped off the face of this planet. Anything that might need to be rebuilt commences from that point.

BTW, WTF is an “RBA outsider”?

An “outsider” held in reserve by the RBA, e.g. Lowie 2.0?
A (soon not to be currant or) former politician ?
Some random dunderhead grabbed off the street?
An iconoclast, e.g. someone resembling myself*?

*Fully qualified, thanks and I’m capable of wearing expensive suits and watches when not lounging around in a cottage in inner western Sydney clad in a Bayern Munich polo and shorts imbibing amber beverages. 🙂

Last night I was lucky to attend a fabulous Cat catch up, hosted by Tinta and her wonderful husband, the ‘Sunbather’.

Fabulous food was consumed (Tinta is a superb cook) and a lot of alcohol was drunk. We talked and talked and talked, we solved all the world’s problems, and we all laughed uproariously on two occasions, you all know when something soooo funny happens you can’t stop laughing!

There’s nothing nicer in life than being with friends, eating, drinking and laughing.

Thank you Tinta and to all my wonderful Cat friends. I am so lucky to know Tinta, the Sunbather, Lizzie, Hairy, Dragnet, Rabz and others. And you know what….we’re all mad!

Talking about late arrival pieces on the Cat (and I’m glad to know the cops got that hideous little biffer and his mate) there’s Putin’s excellent overview of how Marxists in Soviet Russia tried the ‘woke’ trick and did their best to obliterate family, family values and the historical morality of the Nation and only the end to Soviet Communism saved the Russian day. Not wrong, and of considerable interest, but not exactly up-to-the minute either, because the article is dated late 2021.

The best thing was the balmy Sydney night and the spectacular backdrop against which we ate and drank and were very, very merry. Now it’s thundering and lightnening and the sky is dark and forbidding. Playing out the frequent end to another hot and sunny Sydney February day.

I am off to make tonight’s chicken curry. Some chicken, onion and garlic, a tin of coconut cream, and a packet of various spices ready-made into a mixture. Easy! Will add a potato and broccoli at the last and Presto! Dinner for two!! No rice.

Time was in a communal student house in the 60’s in Sydney’s Glebe we all took great care to grind all our spices and make a special mix. Supervised by five girls in Indian cotton wraps and embroidered Indian blouses with our Indian silver dangling earrings, having tied back our long hair. Times past.

When I was a kid, the heatwave involved several days over 40°.

I remember well the three consecutive days in the City of Sydney being over 100F.
From the Herald on January 28, 1960
Sydney recorded its worst heatwave in 100 years of official readings yesterday when the temperature soared to 108.3 degrees (42.4 C) at 3pm.
Yesterday’s reading was a new peak in the three-day ordeal – the first time the city has had above-century temperatures on three consecutive days.

I was working in the Divisional Office of a bank in Martin Place, Sydney.
The footpaths were bitumen (or some such) and after two days of the high temps our high heels were sinking in. In the office the girls were allowed to remove their stockings and white uniform collars and to fill their metal waste paper bins with water for our feet. The men and boys were allowed to remove their ties. This was the administration for NSW with no customers. But standards had to be kept.

My pleasure, Hugh.

Philbrick came to my attention because I discovered ancestors who fought in the American revolutionary war (on the wrong side, depending on your point of view!) and he’s written a trilogy on that topic published by Penguin that has helped fill in some lacunae in my knowledge of that period. This is narrative history rather than academic history, but academic snobbery is a luxury neither time nor budget permits me to indulge in!

Sydney summers have become increasingly mild in my lifetime, while the winters have become colder.

The last three Summers (if they could be dignified with such a term), including this one (while a westerly belts mightily down outside) are an obvious product of La Nina.

The El Nino summers were never pleasant. The last one I remember would have been the Goose Morristeen Hawaii holiday bushfire edition peaking in January 2020 – shortly before we were all blessed with the bat flu hysteria.

There’s nothing quite like being outside in Sydney when it’s 40 degrees. Going to go out on a limb here and opine that it’s quite a pleasant experience, until you have to move, i.e. expend some bodily energy.

Then the all encompassing embrace of Gaia attempts to enfold you.

Which you then stride unrepentantly away from, thanking goodness for creature comforts such as aircon. 🙂

I remember well the three consecutive days in the City of Sydney being over 100F.

Quite a few years ago I had a conflict with Grigory. At the Cafe there was a day which reached 45.5C. Grigory disputed me saying that, we then had a long fight over data. But the most interesting thing about that day was the two Cafe kooka kids, who spent the whole day sitting in the water container I had on the roof of my shed. Which is something I’d never seen before.

That was clearly an evolutionary behaviour developed over millions of years. I was amazed by it.

Current Cafe kooka kid is doing well. A few days ago I got within a foot, with help from kooka dad. Hi kid! Unlike most years they haven’t taken the young one off to the bush to the south, instead they’ve mostly parked him/her in a big tree a few houses north of the Cafe. I have hopes to make a new friend soon! Which will be fun since his/her granny still lands on my arm for food when she finds me.

She’s not dumb.

Lisa is approximately 36.5% as smart as she thinks she is.
Which will be her downfall.
Despite the posturing, the corporate defendants (News and Ten) will try to settle, and Maiden isn’t going to run her own show.
Which leaves Wilkinson.
She will fancy her chances of holding her own in court and winning.

I’m skedaddling to the inquisitor’ palace in the three cities.
Jumped on a bus today as the ferrying is getting mad busy, and will bus on to three cities.
Another thing about here is though I saw plenty of new Maltese on the way in, there are no street sellers of counterfeit handbags and virtually no panhandlers, I think I saw one local in Sliema sitting with a cap in a suggestive position.

A little way up I moaned about Australian pollies flying into Europe and expecting unlimited lavish treatment.
Those who have not experienced this behaviour would be sceptical of reports of what goes on with these schisters.
Here is an example.
We inherited an Aussie pollie from another outfit. Not competitors, just on the schister’s gravy train schedule.
They had taken she, he, it, they (SHIT) to the Tour d’Argent which enraged us given our rejection of corporate corruption.
Being the Aussie, I was required to escort SHIT to one of our facilities in Southern France. I picked SHIT up at the Carillion ($5,000 per night) and we immediately had a set too when I told SHIT that we weren’t going to pay for her media bag carrier. (He had previously asked me what that ‘thing’ at the end of the street was – l’Arc de Thiomphe).
The next battle was when we climbed on the hourly shuttle jet and, because SHIT was late, we were down the back with the Malian drug dealers (none were NSW public servants). It was a very embarrasing public stack-on reminiscent of……..no forget it.
Next tanty was when SHIT demanded a PR photo of SHIT at the controls of one of our devices. Our wonderful CDE said no.
Very long story short, (ignoring the claim that we had lost one of SHIT’s earrings) SHIT wrote to the company demanding my dismissal. Ignored.
But SHIT still owes me $1,300.00 (a personal favour) which was never paid.

I spent 6 months in Kandahar where it was over 100F *EVERY*SINGLE*DAY* – no wonder the locals can be a bit obstreperous

My first real job was west of Tennant Creek, a copper mine.

For the first six weeks it didn’t go under 100 F at midnight. I know this because I had a clock radio with a liquid crystal temperature scale on it. I was on night shift a lot. I was fascinated by this. The water cooling thingie for our single men’s quarters didn’t work.

Then the next six weeks it rained. And rained. And rained some more. Some time during this episode the single men’s quarters floated away, with me in it. Northern Territory weather is interesting.

The poor sparkies had a terrible time. The diesel gensets were all submerged and power was lost to the whole plant. Once the rain stopped they were doing 20 hour shifts for a week trying to get the stuff working again. We spent a month cleaning up afterwards. It was epic…1980.

… the first time the city has had above-century temperatures on three consecutive days.

In the City of Sydney the heat radiated from the roads, footpaths and buildings. From the outside I could feel the heat radiating from the sandstone building we were in – ground floor a bank with mezzanine, first second and third floors were Divisional office where I was working. Caretaker living on the top floor. No windows were able to be opened. No fans either. No air-con in Sydney in those days.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese kicks off ‘Yes’ campaign for Voice to Parliament

“This is an opportunity to unite our nation, and I say to those in positions of political leadership, do not miss this opportunity this time,” he said.

“It’s about recognition and its about consultation. That is what it’s about and that’s what we need to deliver,” Albanese said.

So, either Uncle Luigi has:

1) Not listened to the Aboriginal industry which is demanding sovereignty 5/5; or

2) Intends to do the dirty on the Aboriginal industry during the implementation phase and deliver a talkfest of no significance; or

3) Intends to do the dirty on Australia and enable racial preference in the governance of the country.

I’m well into the second flagon, but none of these appears to be ‘uniting the nation’.

Bob, I detest John Howard and Amanda Vanstone as much as anyone here, but you’re attributing too much agency to them in this matter. At worst, they were naive and were duped. Australian politicians are second and third raters who wouldn’t be entrusted to execute such plans even if they existed.

They’re basically shiny eyed mongs, they don’t understand the most basic reason why different countries have different outcomes. They consider a Sudanese goat shagger to have the same potential as a Singaporean, when clearly they do not, given the relative trajectories of their countries post WWII.

Additionally, racism is largely “on average will be like”, because this most basic curating has been equated with hanging a dark person from a tree. No one does it anymore except in the most real world situations, do I walk down this side street full of African Americans or not?!

@ Top Ender

Regarding the Darwin “body-count”:

I was working briefly on a project in the Top End in 1983 and heard a few interesting tales from long-term locals, as in multi-generational types, not “Post Tracy blow-ins”.

One concerned the Darwin raids and the then- “new” Darwin hospital.

As I heard it, when the construction team started excavating the site for the hospital, they began finding unmarked graves. Panic ensued, with someone announcing publicly that they MAY have been “Aboriginal burials”. One of the local Elders called the local radio station with words to the effect; “Not us, mate. Our mob did individual “tree-burials””. ( The somewhat desiccated corpse being bundled up in bark and placed in a suitable tree, overlooking “home country”.

The dead sailors from all the naval and merchant vessels in the harbour at the time of the first big raid? If the sharks and crocs didn’t get them, they would have been recovered and rapidly interred. There was an unknown number of people on some of those ships, several of which had previously barely escaped the Dutch East Indies ahead of the rampaging Japanese..

The Tracy body-count may also have been a bit “creative” as well. There was a fairly regular flow of “transients” through Darwin all year round. Many camped in tents at various beaches. Not many to be seen on Christmas morning, apparently.

Additionally, it seems that a few of the more “interesting” inhabitants took the opportunity to settle some scores with “extreme prejudice” in all the chaos.

The Inquisitor’s palace was interesting.
Not the Spanish Inquisition, the Roman Inquisition.
Exhibitions as well as explaining the role of the Inquisitor had a display of Maltese Christian items and explanations of local Maltese Christian traditions.
The Inquisition though very harsh at times, didn’t seem completely unreasonable, a priest who solicited sex in the confessional got seven years in a galley, though they held a couple of English Quakers for four years for thinking it was time the Maltese moved on.
Quite a bit of slave keeping in Malta, only ending in 1798, when Napoleon was very briefly in charge, interesting cases where people would go to muslim slaves for spells and curses and when they didn’t work dob the unfortunate spell makers into the Inquisition.
I also visited Fort Saint Angelo, fantastic views across the harbour and from where you could hear and see some of the carnival activities.
they didn’t name the magic maker in the palace but could have been this man.

The key part of the Hersh bin Laden story is that it was a Pakistani walk in that gave the CIA everything.

They charge you for making up your order which I imagine never happens when issuing a certificate. When I used to buy bullion they always gave this little spiel about security and getting it stolen. Does anyone remember in the 80’s a truckload of gold in acid solution was knocked off in WA. Never found as far as I know. I can’t remember how much they charged for coins but something like $40 per Oz rings a bell. At the time this was a high percentage.

I don’t know, bespoke. The BingBot is perfect for social media.

In a blog post Wednesday night, Bing said it was working to fix the confusing answers and aggressive tone exhibited by the bot, after tech outlets exposed that the bot gaslights and insults users, especially when called out on its own mistakes. The update from Bing came after another bizarre interaction with an Associated Press reporter, where the bot called him ugly, a murderer, and Hitler.

Although it might need a little tweek to make it authentic – literally Hitler.

The Perth Mint Kangaroos seem to have the lowest premium for a silver coin, and even then you are looking at five or six bucks above spot price. Still, from what I have seen, it appears you can get a fair bit of that back if you sell privately and are not in a hurry.

In No Hope news, Daily Telegraph:

Premier Dominic Perrottet is presiding over a Coalition in crisis with a senior minister and an Upper House member both resigning from their roles just hours apart.

In a horror week for the Premier, Finance Minister Damien Tudehope quit after it was discovered he held $65,000 worth of Transurban shares while sitting in Cabinet.

Hours earlier, Mr Tudehope’s Upper House colleague Peter Poulos also resigned after it was revealed he shared explicit photos of a factional rival in the lead-up to her preselection.

Labor didn’t escape the carnage with candidate Terry Campese withdrawing from the race.

Finance Minister Damien Tudehope has resigned after revelations he held more than $65,000 in shares in toll company Transurban while in cabinet.

The close ally of Premier Dominic Perrottet will remain in parliament but has resigned from his cabinet positions.

“Tonight I have given my resignation as the Minister for Finance, Minister for Employee Relations and Leader of the Government in the Legislative Council to the Premier,” Mr Tudehope said on Friday.

Mr Tudehope said the shares were a part of his family superannuation fund and he was not aware he held them.

“When it was brought to my attention that held within my family superannuation fund are shares in the company Transurban I took action to remove them from my fund,” he said.

“The legal advice from the Department of Premier and Cabinet has cleared me, advising I did not knowingly breach the Ministerial Code of Conduct.”

“However, during the course of the day I have had the opportunity to consider my position and I value my own integrity and the integrity of the government to be something that is not the subject of repeated political attacks.”

Mr Tudehope said the shares issue was a distraction for the government.

“The events of the last 24 hours have provided an unnecessary distraction for the government at a time when the most important thing for the people of NSW is to be concentrating on the choice before them — an experienced Liberal and Nationals government with a long-term economic plan compared to a NSW Labor Party interested in tired and old politics.”

Mr Perrottet said although Mr Tudehope had not breached the ministerial code of conduct, he had still accepted his letter of resignation.

“Tonight I have accepted the resignation of Finance Minister Damien Tudehope,” Mr Perrottet said.

“I have known Damien for many years and he is a person of integrity and honesty.

“At all times he has undertaken his responsibilities as a Minister with the highest of standards.

“My Department provided advice to me earlier today which cleared Damien, saying he did not knowingly breach the Ministerial Code of Conduct.

“I will take on the role of Minister for Finance and Minister for Employee Relations.” (for a couple of weeks)

Earlier on Friday, Mr Tudehope refused to apologise to taxpayers after The Daily Telegraph revealed his superannuation fund made thousands of dollars in profit through shareholdings in Transurban while he was in cabinet.

Initially, he refused to resign while a departmental investigation looked into whether he breached the Ministerial Code of Conduct.

Mr Tudehope — one of the Premier’s inner circle — has now launched a forensic probe into what other shares his superannuation fund holds.

The Daily Telegraph revealed Mr Tudehope’s superannuation fund had held more than 4600 shares in Transurban since 2014 — which was on Friday worth more than $65,000.

Following questions from The Telegraph, Mr Tudehope admitted to making a “mistake” when it came to disclosing his shareholdings, acknowledging that he should have made “more declarations” about the shares.

He insisted that he had no knowledge of the shares before the Telegraph’s inquiries, despite declaring a printout of his superannuation fund’s shareholdings every year as part of his Ministerial obligations.

“I provided to the Premier, in accordance with my obligation, a printout of the assets which were held by my superannuation fund. I was not aware of the fact that that included Transurban shares,” he said.

“I have to say, I didn’t know that I held those shares at the time that I participated in policy decisions relating to Transurban.”

Mr Tudehope estimated that his superannuation fund had earned “about $6000” on the Transurban shares during the time he has been a minister.

He has now sold the shares.

Mr Tudehope admitted that he was part of discussions on the government’s toll relief package outlined in last year’s budget, whilst he held shares in Transurban.

However he said the policy — which provides motorists with up to $750 in toll rebates — had no impact on Transurban’s share price and therefore his personal wealth.

Mr Tudehope held his shares during the time the WestConnex road project was privatised and ultimately sold to Transurban.

But the Finance Minister said he was not involved in those discussions.

“I was never, ever involved in any discussions relating to WestConnex,” he said.

Penrith MP Stuart Ayres resigned from cabinet last year while he faced questions about potentially breaching the Ministerial Code, something Mr Tudehope is refusing to do.

“The question of who makes the decision in relation to breaches of the ministerial code of conduct is not you, it’s not me, it is the Premier,” Mr Tudehope said.

Mr Ayres was later cleared of any breach and will return to cabinet if the Coalition is re-elected.

Details of the shareholdings were contained in a “portfolio evaluation” of Mr Tudehope’s superannuation fund, unearthed by an order of parliament and obtained by The Telegraph.

As for Mr Poulos:

Embattled Liberal MLC Peter Poulos has resigned from his position as parliamentary secretary after revelations he shared explicit pictures of fellow MP Robyn Preston to another Liberal Party member.

Premier Dominic Perrottet on Friday said he had received Mr Poulos’s letter of resignation from his parliamentary secretary duties but that he remained a member of parliament.

“Peter Poulos contacted me today and informed me he would be resigning from his parliamentary secretary role. I’ve accepted Peter’s resignation,” Mr Perrottet said.

“He obviously has made a mistake he has apologised for, that I think he gave a heartfelt apology for, not just to the people of the state but particularly to the Member for Hawkesbury Robyn Preston. She’s accepted that apology.

“As well he doesn’t want to be a distraction for me for the campaign. I’ve accepted his resignation from his parliamentary secretary duties.”

It comes after The Sunday Telegraph revealed Mr Poulos had shared the images of Ms Preston five years ago when she was seeking preselection.

An email sent from Mr Poulos had the subject heading “Treasurer’s Pet” and the message “Enjoy” and “please clean up pdf”.

On Thursday, the head of a Sydney Liberal women’s branch has expressed her disappointment at the lack of action taken against Mr Poulos and fired off a letter to the party to ask that he resign over the email he sent about her “friend”.

The request came despite Mr Poulos last week apologising for the “regrettable mistake” and Ms Preston urging the media to “move on”.

Strathfield Women’s branch president Liana Ross said this was not good enough for a party that was fighting the perception that it had a “women problem”.

In a letter sent to the NSW Liberal Party Women’s Council, NSW Liberal state director Chris Stone, NSW Liberal Party Maria Kovacic, Senator Marise Payne and other senior party officials, Ms Ross described the sending of photographs of Ms Preston as “entirely unacceptable”.

“I write in my capacity as President of the Strathfield Women’s Branch,” the letter said.

“It is disappointing to see there has been no consequence or censure regarding the recent actions of Peter Poulos.

“Robyn Preston is an experienced, loyal, committed, Liberal MP.

“I also view Robyn as a friend. As the President of the only urban Liberal women’s branch in NSW, I would like to categorically state that these actions by Poulos are entirely unacceptable.

“This is not going to assist us to win votes at the upcoming state election, or help us to overcome “the Liberal Party has a women problem” sentiment.”

Ms Ross declined to comment about the letter.

Mr Poulos — who is a moderate — is believed to have been working for then Better Regulation Minister Matt Kean at the time the email was sent.

However, the email was sent from a personal Gmail account outside work hours.

When asked about the incident earlier this week, Mr Kean said it was a matter for Mr Poulos.

At the time the email was sent, Ms Preston was vying for the seat of Hawkesbury in a fiercely-contested preselection battle.

A member of the hard right conservative faction, Ms Preston was seen as one of the favoured candidates of Mr Perrottet, who was Treasurer at the time.

The subject line of the email- sighted by The Sunday Telegraph — included the words “Treasurer’s Pet”.

The preselection was triggered after Mr Perrottet, who was then the MP, had decided to change seats and try to overthrow sitting Castle Hill MP Ray Williams.

Unable to do so, Mr Perrottet ended up moving to Epping when MP Damien Tudehope stood aside to end the infighting.

Photographs of Ms Preston from the magazine appeared in media outlets on the eve of the preselection contest.

Mr Poulos has categorically denied to News Corp that he sent the photographs to the media, and that the email was sent to a “private recipient” only.

Advocate for survivors of sexual assault Brittany Higgins has also shared a scathing tweet about Mr Poulos’ circulation of the X-rated photos in 2018. (WTF?)

Saturday Cartoon: One More Kill and Biden Is an Ace

For now, America is safe. Joe Biden (call sign: Lying Dog-Faced Pony Soldier) will sweep the skies of America and Canada and he’ll shoot down whatever is floating. Joe admitted that NORAD didn’t know what they shot down over Alaska. It could have been Carl, Doug, and Russell. It could have been a 5-cent Ralph’s Grocery Bag, a Hefty garbage bag, a guy tied to a chair under party balloons, a used car dealership balloon man, or a $12 hobby balloon. Whatever it was we are no longer at DEFCOM 1.

For now.

Who knows? No one knows – and that is kinda the point. To cover up his incompetence of allowing a ChiCom spy platform to vacation across the entire continental U.S., Joey Mumbles is shooting down everything, including $12 hobby balloons.

One more and Joe will be an ace, like Beau. I’m not kidding man. God’s truth. You didn’t know Beau was a fighter pilot?

Hours After Trump Announces Upcoming Visit to East Palestine, FEMA Reverses Course and Will Support Ohio Community

February 17, 2023 -| Sundance

The announcement by President Trump with his intent to visit East Palestine next Wednesday, followed moments later by a reversal announcement from FEMA stating they will now offer support to East Palestine, do not seem coincidental.

The Biden administration, including the EPA, FEMA and Transporation Secretary, was likely very worried about the optics of getting blasted by President Trump very visibly next week for their lack of urgency and concern. Moments after Trump announces his visit, FEMA reverses their prior denial of aid. lol

It Never Ends – Joe Biden Extends 2011 National Security Emergency over Libya Through 2023

Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and Samanta Power (R2P) were the architects of the destabilization plan. After the country was destabilized and thrown into severe violent crisis by the U.S. support for radical Islamists in eastern Libya (Benghazi region), President Obama then signed (Feb, 2011) a national emergency declaration in regard to the destabilized Libya his administration created.

Five years later, in April 2016, President Obama expanded the Libya emergency declaration to extend the 2011 declaration and envelop a larger portion of North Africa, under the auspices of expanded threats from AQIM (al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb). This extension allowed the state dept to frame actions in neighboring Egypt, and block any effort to counteract Obama’s mid-east policy which was established to support the Muslim Brotherhood. In April 2016 it was presumed Hillary Clinton would win the election and continue the policy.

Today, a full twelve years after Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton destabilized Libya throwing it into a tribal civil war, Joe Biden signs an executive order continuing the extension of the U.S. National Emergency with regard to Libya {White House Link}.

As Obama Stated “We’re not bombing in Libya; We’re only dropping unsolicited instant demolition devices…”

Hersh: “Impossible to Believe How Dumb this Leadership Was”

Speaking in a YouTube interview with the Consortium News outlet on Friday, investigative reporter Seymour Hersh, who exposed the CIA’s purported sabotage attempt on the Nord Stream pipeline, accused the Biden administration of making “so many bad mistakes,” that “it’s impossible to believe just how dumb this leadership was.”

“It was suicidal to think you can win that war, that Ukraine can win the war [against Russia]. There’s just too much corruption. That was a very, very bad decision. We should have been pushing for peace, we should have made an agreement,” the former Pulitzer Prize winner insisted.

US President Joe Biden basically “blew off NATO in Europe” by telling allies that he is backing Ukraine with its “totally corrupt government,” Hersh added. The journalist also pointed out how Kiev glorifies Stepan Bandera, “the great pro-Nazi who killed Jews like crazy during World War II.”

“It’s just silly not to right away assure the Russian government that we weren’t interested in making Ukraine a member of NATO,” Hersh stated, referring to long-standing concerns in Moscow. “NATO didn’t want Ukraine anyway because of the corruption.”

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, as well as Under Secretary for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, are all “very hawkish,” Hersh said. The trio “pushed Biden very hard” to go ahead with the sabotage because “they have long-standing incredible hatred for [Russian President Vladimir] Putin. It’s almost personal, I would guess,” Hersh claimed.
