When you say “robots”, do you mean self drive vehicles?
Or automation more generally?

Got to hand it to Clive and Twiggy as billionaires. They add a lot of colour to the otherwise beige Australian political spectrum.

Thanks to Palmer some of that “colour” has been added in the form of a fake tanned bush pig.
They can stick their vanity project meddling up their rectums.

Talking about money, Google reported this morning our time, and it was humdinger of a result busting through analysts expectations.
Revenues/Sales of US$80 billion
Net Income of US$ 23.6 billion
The stock went up US$215 billion.

Really –

There’s a big downside to stocks though, potentially.

There’s something called the equity premium. I won’t go into it, so look it up if you’re interested. The current premium is at historical highs in the US. It suggests that the market is expecting continued good results from the earnings front. If there’s a move to the mean stocks would fall 30% in a correction with a move to the mean.

Several things to worry about, which aren’t good.

Dementia is talking about raising taxes big time.
The deficit without a hope in hell of seeing and end to the spending.

Trump is talking about raising serious tariffs.
Trump is also talking about reducing the independence of the Fed.

These are things to consider.

Dover, I watched all four of the videos on that channel you posted overnight.
He posted the fourth one today.

I thought it more educational regarding the maths of war than anything.
The fourth one got into the terrain of Ukraine.

The first one re strategy, tactics, operations was a good summary of the old school, initial MBA programs in the US.
Wharton was the first to distill it, then others followed suite.
Now MBA’s are a totally different beast.

Anyway, thanks for posting.

I bought some Tesla stock overnight at just under the closing ($170). I’m buying into the view held by the bulls that the stock is making cars on the side and striking levels of profitability will come with the robot side of the business, which isn’t that far along.

I’m with you in that bet, JC.

Like Trump, Musk is an accidental politician who got involved in politics via his purchase of Twitter only because of corruption in DC — the exemption of Silicon Valley from liability for the content on their social media sites being Exhibit #1.

Like Trump, Musk is highly intelligent and knows his success with Tesla was delivered to him by very stupid wokies, who bought into the global warmening scam on their way out of Christianity since they needed a replacement religion. Like the Aztecs, they chose animism that glorifies animals and plants.

Musk is now dismantling the 100-year-old Detroit car-making business template via new technology. I look forward to his next business venture, which I predict will be in artificial intelligence.

Why limit it to four limbs?

The first load should be out by the end of the year. Estimated cost 25K a pop.

That is cheap for something which won’t go on strike or lodge harassment claims.
I heard a discussion the other day about using robots in construction. They have been around in static manufacturing settings forever, but it might not be as easy on construction sites, which are all subtly different.
Of course, things like air-con, which don’t require much smarts, are ripe for automation.

Or she could have expelled him from the Party. Weak as piss. Hun:

Labor MP Darren Cheeseman has been forced to resign from his parliamentary secretary role over allegations of “persistent and inappropriate behaviour” towards staff.

In a statement on Friday night, Premier Jacinta Allan said she had requested Mr Cheeseman, the Member for South Barwon, resign from his role as parliamentary secretary for education.

Ms Allan sought the resignation “as a result of allegations of persistent, inappropriate behaviour in the workplace towards staff”.

“The wellbeing of staff and their right to a respectful workplace is not negotiable,” Ms Allan said.

The nature of the allegations levelled against Mr Cheeseman are not yet known.

Ms Allan said Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries are “expected to behave according to the highest standards of personal conduct in the performance of their duties and to behave in a way that upholds community expectations”.

“Under the Code, Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries must take all reasonable steps to maintain respectful and appropriate working relationships with their staff, staff of other Ministers and MPs, Parliamentary staff, VPS staff, and Ministerial and Parliamentary colleagues,” she added.

Mr Cheeseman will remain a member of the Labor caucus in parliament.

A senior government source said Mr Cheeseman had been the subject of multiple complaints.

“For months the Left (faction) have known about other issues,” one source said.

“They moved female staff from his electorate office but failed to tell the PPO.

“This wasn’t the first complaint,” they said.

The Herald Sun can also confirm the allegations involve a staffer from the Premier’s Private Office.

Mr Cheeseman has been contacted for comment.

Prior to being elected to the Victorian parliament, Mr Cheeseman previously served as a federal MP.

One MP, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said Ms Allan would face internal criticism for not booting Mr Cheeseman from the partyroom.

“Jacinta was on her feet only days ago where she said calling out bad behaviour could save a life and that we’ve all got a leadership opportunity to play here. This was her opportunity to lead and set an example by throwing him out,” the MP said.

“She has failed to do that.”

It is the second time the Premier’s office has been forced to discipline a sitting MP for inappropriate behaviour in the past 12 months.

Last year Will Fowles was immediately sacked and expelled from the parliamentary Labor party amid a sexual assault allegation.

Police investigated a complaint but decided not to take any action.

However Ms Allan refused to take him back into the fold, citing a hardline stance against inappropriate behaviour and demands of a safe workplace for MPS.

A parliamentary insider said Ms Allan would have been left with no choice but to demote Mr Cheeseman as part of strict new ministerial standards.

The source said the standards, which have only come into effect since Ms Allan became Premier, hold ministers and parliamentary secretaries to a “much higher standard” than backbench MPs.

“If there’s an allegation of the breach of the guidelines, the consequences are dire,” they said.

“There’s not a lot of excuses to be given.

“It’s a different standard that applies and you can’t expect the Premier to deviate from that standard.”

Well we can expect our pollies to deviate from standards when polls show them to be losing power etc.
Will Prosciutto use this to his advantage? Lol I will see myself out.

Musk’s been underestimated for since he took over Tesla.

If reported revenues was the only measure, most startups would be trading at a cent, but they don’t in tech land.

With a slowdown in the world economy, where’s the upside in mining stocks? This year, we’re going to see one of the slowest global GDP growth rates in a while.

It’s great that you don’t agree. I don’t care. I simply posted what I think and why I acted.

Maybe you should read this rubbish before hitting Post. You’re not caring is taking up a lot of pixels.

Says the biggest fatmouth ego on this blog.

I see it differently. I see it that you have a defective ego. If you had come on here telling us you’re long miners etc, I couldn’t care less and in fact, if I disagreed I wouldn’t saying a thing like I haven’t whenever you’re posting stuff I disagree with (in terms of dealing with these sorts of predictions).
But you didn’t and you come up with a doozy that robots will be ready to roll in about a decade.

It’s not difficult to work out that buying your own product doesn’t count as revenue yet.

What does that even mean? Tesla is now buying their own product? WTF?

Charts are a lot more honest than stock analysts, JC.

Analysts do decent research and the number crunching, which is valuable. Even their targets are important because other people look and act on them. I suppose if you’re dealing with ANZ discount brokerage you’d think they’re useless. I would too. Charts are great for hindsight trading. One’s always 100% right looking back.

You should look at algos.

NY Union Leader: We’re Changing Side. Remarkable quotes from the Liberal Mecca known as New York City Great Video by NEWSMAX

This is like the dam wall breaking. They would have to cheat by plus 10 points or murder Trump.

The idea of a union leader, and a NYC one at that ,openly supporting Trump is huge.

the Polstar EV is now being advertised here

I rented one of the Hertz polestars. Basically a volvo with an android tablet.

Tesla is years ahead of them.

Tesla have basically cracked full self driving, they have spent $1b on a supercomputer and are rolling out FSD updates every 2 weeks. Tesla is going to flood the market with robotaxis and a cheap model 2, all these Uber drivers are going to be out of work.

I have been loading up on TSLA and will hold for 5-10 years.

So Reagan’s VP did a Pence. What a disloyal deadshit. A Bush

Milt, George Bush Signore was opposing the Reagan during the primaries – at the end, the former became the latter’s VP.

To contextualise it, think Ron de Santis becoming Fatty Trump’s vice presidential nominee.

Makes a lot of sense.

Oh dear, another night of name calling and childish sledging seems to be emerging. Very sad for a supposedly intellectual blog. As a long time lurker and generally appreciative reader of this blog, this is a turn off and so disappointing.
Oh well, maybe it will have given way to better debate by morning.

It is disappointing but it’s not as bad as it used to be, still too much though.
