Hmmm

Not buying this unsaturated fat argument. Aren’t omega 3 FAs unsaturated fats? Don’t we need these to live?

I know the refining (distillation) process does strip out tocopherols and tocotrienols, but even the most shelf stable stuff still has about 1/5 of what fortified or cold pressed oil has.

The whole trans thing sends me nuts because the labeling rules are complete nonsense and if you eat lamb, IIRC 10% of the fat is trans fat. It won’t hurt you, most of it is isomers of linoleic acid, which your body converts to omega 3s. The push against trans fats is from authorities like the FDA which say “don’t eat saturated fat”.

The information from American websites on the internet is nonsense. 4% trans fat. Haha no. (Virtually) no one in industry Australia accepts trans fat greater than 1%, most expect 08.% or 0.5% or less.

The distillation process might raise 0.3% trans fat to 0.4% or 0.5%.

“Expeller pressed oils aren’t treated with high temperatures”

Hmm. So how do they pre condition the seed or prevent heating during pressing?

Sure, olive is a lot better for you, but I’m not having a glass of that with bacon and eggs or a steak either.

re: Helen Conway and the Workforce Gender Equality Agency.

I’ve never encountered a more invidious and business-wasting agency than this mob.

Our company (~ 200 employees) is constantly hounded by this department for gender equality reports. They dish out constant warnings, refuse the understand the fundamentals as to why an engineering and IT based firm does not have 50% wimminses, and why we, with a flat management structure, are not promoting them enough.

On top of this, they have the power to see all our payroll and tax information.

A complete WOFTAM which would be rased by any real conservative government.

Stocking up on BTC, gold, baked beans, and ammunition won’t help long term. Unless you have plans to hide out wild as a fugitive, even the most ‘off grid’ existence will inevitably be caught in third party strands of the ID net: rates, land tax assessments, fuel purchases, kids’ education, medical treatment, licences and passports, etc. With follow up following up to audit how you are otherwise surviving outside the fold – and at what ‘cost’ to government.

There used to be a very good book about going off grid; avoiding the law and “skip tracers” but I think the State has cornered everyone.

The Kremlin shows no sign of taking steps to escalate to a nuclear level. It is not in its interests, or those of its allies, to do so. None of the 32 nations who recently abstained from condemning Russia in the 24 February UN vote would welcome Vladimir Putin and his cronies flinging nukes around. The qualified support of major powers like China, India and Pakistan is attached to the cheap oil and arms procurements they have negotiated with Moscow. Any hint of Tsar Vladimir “going nuclear” would see their abstentions morph into support for the West. Putin, for all his rhetoric, cannot afford to go it alone with just the six who voted with him at the UN. In military terms, they offer nothing.

The planned closure of Loy Yang A in 2025 means time is running out to transform the state’s power grid, with the government banking on private offshore wind to cover looming shortfalls.

It’s actually 2035 (a typo, I suspect) – but the important thing to note is that this is wholly consistent with Andrew’s emissions strategy to shut down all Victorian coal-fired generation by 2035 in order to reach emission reductions of 75% to 80%.

This is intentional self harm in Victoria – which will put a floor under the current, eye-watering NEM wholesale price.

Back to language teachers. I did not benefit from a chic little chou.

I had a gorgeous German teacher, with massive, well her name was Barbera, and we called her Booberella. Had the boys, it was boys’ high school, wrapped around her little finger.

Her replacement, when she went on maternity leave when I was in year 12, was a blonde goddess with legs up to her armpits, and she wore tight little dresses.

How the boys complained the next year when she was replaced by an old boiler.

yes I dont doubt that, but having some hidden ‘uncensorable’ wealth, whether it be BTC, PMs or whatever, will allow you to make choices in the parallel black market which always springs up. It will also give you what my sister calls (as she toys with her engagement ring) , ‘the running away money’. But it also then criminalises “Incels”, after making normal male behaviour criminal. What did they expect?

Probably too big a topic to open atm (am trying to trouble shoot the electric brakes on daughters horse float, and have a horse to school) and not one I have devoted as much time to as the inflammatory effects of carbs, but my general principle in life now is to ask myself ‘ If our ancestors didn’t eat/do/have this, why is it better for me than what they spent millenia adapting to?’.

In the case of seed oils, I note that they are an even newer addition to our diet than refined carbs, they are even more ‘industrially’ processed, and their penetration into just about every modern processed food (along with sugar) has paralleled the castastrophic decline in population metabolic health that I witnessed across my medical career.

Nowadays, if a ‘food’ has more than about 3 ingredients, I steer clear of it. Preferrably, it has only 1, eg ‘lamb’,’ butter, ‘salt’ etc etc etc .

1) I have a precedent for telling governments to go fcuk themselves.
2) I have had a good life and achieved all I wanted to in it. My sole remaining task is to ensure my children are as prepared as possible to make their way in an increasingly dangerous and predatory world. There is nothing the feds can do to me to change that.

Duk, what is to stop governments requiring you to reveal your BTC holdings to them and then valuing them at some low value and giving you fiat dollars in exchange. Been done with gold.

The big tax authorities around the world have classified crypto as an asset. This was done years ago, and it basically destroyed crypto as a currency. It was an ingenious way to get rid of the currency aspect.

And no, they wouldn’t deliberately undervalue crypto because they wouldn’t be able to tax it. Moreover, the government couldn’t keep the value of gold down in the free market in those days even though countries outlawed holding bullion. There was a free market, and it showed the startling disparity between the free market and official prices. You really need to stop talking about this stuff, Hallward, as you haven’t a clue.

Yep. I’ve included the link he has for that “emergency”, which is even stupider and even bigger than the Covid scam.

On this note, I bring you James Morrow in the Daily Telegraph. Not sure if it was reported here but anyhoo:

Greens leader Adam Bandt continues to hold a superannuation account with a fund that has been criticised for its fossil fuel investments despite saying that new coal and gas mines are “untenable” and will “put a safer climate out of reach.”

Mr Bandt’s Greens have been locked in negotiations with Labor over the government’s “safeguard mechanism” to cut emissions, saying they would not support the legislation unless the government commits to not approving any more coal or gas projects.

Last week Mr Bandt said, “we’ve got to deal with this question of opening up new coal and gas mines because that’s not only untenable, and is going to put a safer climate out of reach.”

However according to disclosure documents which must be filed by all federal parliamentarians, the Victorian MP holds “superannuation and (a) life insurance policy” with HESTA which has come under fire from environmental groups for its holdings in oil and gas exploration companies.

The environmental website Market Forces, operated by Friends of the Earth Australia, states HESTA’s main fund has around 5.81 per cent, or $4 billion, worth of its assets, invested in fossil fuel projects.

Last year HESTA was flagged by the Environmental Defenders Office for investing “members’ savings into companies active pushing new fossil fuels” despite claiming to be a climate leader.

The group also said that the even the fund’s supposedly net zero investment fund was a case of “greenwashing.”

The news comes as The Daily Telegraph can reveal that at least half a dozen federal Greens parliamentarians have not disclosed their superannuation holdings or which funds they are in, making it impossible to determine the extent to which the party’s MPs and senators are invested in fossil fuels.

Parliamentary guidelines for disclosure state that “superannuation interests, including self-managed superannuation funds should be included” in a member or senator’s register of interest if valued at over $7500, though state and commonwealth superannuation entitlements do not need to be included.

While most offices declined to comment, a spokesman for Queensland senator Penny Allman-Payne said that the mistake was an “oversight” and the register would be amended.

Mr Bandt’s office declined to comment

There is no way to avoid this moment. The formal letter of apology. From me. To Conservatives and to those who “put America first” everywhere.

It’s tempting to sweep this confrontation with my own gullibility under the rug — to “move on” without ever acknowledging that I was duped, and that as a result I made mistakes in judgement, and that these mistakes, multiplied by the tens of thousands and millions on the part of people just like me, hurt millions of other people like you all, in existential ways.

Republicans, conservatives, I am sorry.

I also believed wholesale so much else that has since turned out not to be as I was told it was by NPR, MSNBC and The New York Times.

I believed that stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop were Russian propaganda. Dozens of former intel officials said so. Johns Hopkins University said so. [https://sais.jhu.edu/news-press/hunter-biden-story-russian-disinformation-dozens-former-intel-officials-say].

“Trump specifically cited a “laptop” that contained emails allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden”, said ‘CNN Fact-Check’, with plenty of double quote marks. [https://www.cnn.com/factsfirst/politics/factcheck_036fb62c-377f-4c68-8fa5-b98418e4bb9c]

I believed this all — til it was debunked.

I believed that President Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia — until that assertion was dropped. [https://www.americanbar.org/news/abanews/aba-news-archives/2019/03/mueller-concludes-investigation/]

I believed that President Trump was a Russian asset, because the legacy media I read, said so [https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jan/29/trump-russia-asset-claims-former-kgb-spy-new-book].

I believed in the entire Steele dossier, until I didn’t, because it all fell apart. [https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63305382].

Was there in fact an “infamous pee tape”? So many other bad things were being said about the man — why not? [https://www.businessinsider.com/christopher-steele-trump-pee-tape-probably-exists-2021-10]

I believed that Pres Trump instigated the riot at the Capitol — because I did not know that his admonition to his supporters to assemble “peacefully and patriotically” had been deleted from all of the news coverage that I read. [https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-02-11/trump-team-hoping-peacefully-and-patriotically-will-be-shield]

Because of lies such as these in legacy media — lies which I and millions of others believed — half of our nation’s electorate was smeared and delegitimized, and I myself was misled.

It damages our nation when legacy media put words in the mouths of Presidents and former Presidents, and call them traitors or criminals without evidence.

It damages our country when we cannot tell truth from lies. This is exactly what tyrants seek — an electorate that cannot know what is truth and what is falsehood.

Through lies, half of the electorate was denied a fair run for its preferred candidate.

I don’t like violence. I do believe our nation’s capitol must be treated as a sacred space.

I don’t like President Trump (Do I not? Who knows? I have been lied to about him so much for so long, I can‘t tell whether my instinctive aversion is simply the habituated residue of years of being on the receiving end of lies).

But I like the liars who are our current gatekeepers, even less.

The gatekeepers who lie to the public about the most consequential events of our time — and who thus damage our nation, distort our history, and deprive half of our citizenry of their right to speak, champion and choose, without being tarred as would-be violent traitors – deserve our disgust.

I am sorry the nation was damaged by so much untruth issued by those with whom I identified at the time.

There’s a photo. No sign of an underlay of mesh, although maybe they do have those static dischargers. I haven’t seen them, but I haven’t looked. The erosion thing is interesting of itself because a wind turbine blade is like a wing of an aircraft that is flying 24/7 every day for 20 years, at very low altitude. Not easy to maintain either!

I saw there were some papers about wind turbines initiating actual lightning bolts during thunderstorms as well as being hit by them. I suppose we’ll eventually find out if they can do that in high fire risk conditions.

Speaking of electricity and fires, this story has quite an alarming graph in it!

Epidemic Of E-Bike Fires Rips Across America (10 Mar)

“According to New York City officials, a supermarket and apartment building were destroyed on Sunday due to a fire caused by an electric bike. The rise in reports of lithium-ion battery fires across the metro area is an unintended consequence of the ‘green’ mobility trend.

WSJ reported the New York City Fire Department revealed the number of e-bike lithium-ion battery fires had more than doubled last year to 216. The fire department said the blazes had injured 40 people and killed two this year.

“These are incredibly dangerous devices if they are unregulated or used improperly,” New York Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh recently told reporters.”

Quick, cancel that woman for criticizing Gaia’s holy e-bikes! I wonder if insurance premiums will be going up?

There’s an actual security vid of the e-bike catching fire in the story, via New York Post. You can see from the fierceness of it how that fire then took out the whole supermarket and apartment building. Yikes!

Leading Edge Erosion: A BIG Problem For Wind Turbine Operators (Jan 2021)

This is something that has been dealt with since the dawn of powered aviation. But the loons who build these windmills had obviously never heard of it.
Metal props are pretty resistant but it still happens in dusty environments.
Just another downside of wind energy.
As for lightning, think of a giant lightning rod being flung up into the sky continuously when there are thunderstorms around. Lightning can have very bad effects on a blade that doesn’t have the mesh protection. There was a case in the UK where a bloke went for a trial flight in a two seat fiberglass glider. From about 5km away a lightning bolt reached out and blew one wing apart. Fortunately the Chief Flying instructor, a couple of months before, insisted that everyone wear parachutes in the club two seaters and they successfully bailed out from only a couple of thousand feet. The passenger was offered another trial flight but politely declined.
A wind turbine blade being exploded would unbalance the whole thing and like fail the whole tower.

Browsing some Rand Corp paper from 2019:

Russia might even pre-empt U.S. action, escalating before any additional U.S. aid arrives. Such escalation might extend Russia; Eastern Ukraine is already a drain. Taking more of Ukraine might only increase the burden, albeit at the expense of the Ukrainian people. However, such a move might also come at a significant cost to Ukraine and to U.S. prestige and credibility. This could produce disproportionately large Ukrainian casualties, territorial losses, and refugee flows. It might even lead Ukraine into a disadvantageous peace.

News Corp can reveal a female student claims to have been threatened by Hillsong College with a $50 fine for having sex with her boyfriend and coerced into writing a traumatising essay on saving yourself for marriage.

HomeworkGate!

Alyssa Harper, 22, moved from Canada to Sydney to attend the church’s college but says she was interrogated about her sex life after she was dobbed in by other students sitting with her boyfriend.

Filthy snitches.

Ms Harper said she was then hauled into a leader’s office and asked to explain herself. She had agreed with her boyfriend that she would be honest, so she told them they had sex.

Ms Harper, who attended Hillsong College in 2019 and 2020, said she reluctantly agreed to write an essay on why sex before marriage was wrong because she was worried she would be kicked out of college and lose her visa.

Hauled into the office of ‘a leader’. Another Hillsong ‘leader’ may have been thinking along similar lines as the one sweating down Ms Harper when he said ‘I don’t hold a hose mate’.

I wonder what they do about insect impacts of the leading edges of the turbine blades? This will have the same performance degradation effect on the blade as physical erosion of the paint.
High performance gliders flown in areas where bugs are significant during the flying season have what are called “bug wipers” which travel along the leading edges and clean them in flight. Bugs can increase the whole glider’s drag by up to 30% which the wipers can reduce again.
Haven’t seen them on windmills.

Nearly 130,000 facing starvation in Horn of Africa: WHO (Phys.org, 10 Mar)

“Nearly 130,000 people in the Greater Horn of Africa are “staring death in the eyes” from catastrophic hunger, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned Friday.

Some 48 million people in the Greater Horn—Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan and Uganda—are facing crisis levels of food insecurity, the WHO said.

“They are facing starvation and staring death in the eyes,” said Liesbeth Aelbrecht, the WHO’s incident manager for the health crisis in the Greater Horn of Africa. … “With climate change now a reality, we must prepare for such emergencies to occur with increasing frequency,” said Aelbrecht.”

If global warming is causing this disaster, what caused the terrible famine that Live Aid was helping in 1985? After all pCO2 in the Earth’s atmosphere was only 340 ppmV in 1985 versus 420 ppmV today. Interesting point – well, I find it interesting:

Scanning through the online rage, there appears to be a steeply-growing trend of people coming before the courts for everything from flogging their wives to drug trafficking to stickups, and who are using the tactic of wearing the covid paper masks both to and outside court.

There’s an argument that this is to limit photos being taken that show the face. However, I think it’s more likely that it’s a ‘peacocking’ display for the court – ‘look how obedient and compliant I am. Whatever I did was so out of character for me, because I clearly do everything society tells me to do.’

Combine that with multiple applications to have the criminal charges dismissed and the matters dealt with under various mental health provisions (a dog ate my ice cream cone when I was four), and you’re on a winner.

I’m not necessarily bagging the tactic. Use what works, I reckon.

https://www.gov.scot/news/misogyny-law-consultation/

Background

The five new proposed criminal laws are:

All aimed at men, no female behaviour is criminalised. Read the prior statements of the committee.

An offence of misogynistic harassment. This would make it a criminal offence for a person to behave in a way that amounts to misogynistic harassment directed at a woman or girl or group of women and girls.

This is very subjective.

An offence of misogynistic behaviour. Intended to deal with misogynistic behaviour which is likely to have the effecting of causing a woman or girl to experience fear, alarm, degradation, humiliation or distress where that behaviour is not directed at a specific woman or girl (or group of women and girls) and so could not be described as ‘harassment’.

Humiliation is just something you just have to deal with when you live in a society. Even when it is unwarranted. Several great scientists were humiliated for being right and being first, their peers all laughed at them. So what? Often it’s your choice, like taking offence. Note they’re trying to criminalise a statement not even aimed at anyone!

A statutory aggravation concerning misogyny. This would be used where an offence had a misogynistic motive or a person demonstrates misogyny whilst committing a crime. The statutory aggravation would ensure that this motive is recorded and taken into account when sentencing.

Some people might be jerks, but what about freedom of conscience.

An offence of threatening or abusive communications to women or girls that reference rape, sexual assault or disfigurement. This offence criminalises sending an abusive message to a woman or girl that refers to rape, sexual assault or disfigurement

(Yeah okay but isn’t this already covered by other laws as an aggravated category of intimidation or making menaces or similar.)

An offence of stirring up hatred against women and girls. This offence is concerned with the effect that the behaviour may be likely to have on the people in whom the perpetrator is seeking to stir up hatred of women and girls

This borders on silliness like lese majeste.

Now, with Silicon Valley’s coding nerds having invented the social media monopolies that control the dissemination of ideas, they’re trying to dumb down the entire population — with the enthusiastic support of 99% of the news media.

Journalists and IT coders are two sides of the same social evil: both think ordinary people are too stupid to vote and therefore, being society’s kingmakers, they must censor all the information the plebs are given.

Company I used to work for had a product, Minesuite, that installed on each mine truck or digger an expensive box of GPS, data radio, connections to Loadrite and other sensors, and a couple of expensive custom PCB assemblies. These boxes plus the expensive software let you see live, the truck movements loading and tipping locations and perhaps whether the operator was paying attention to the flashing red temperature light on his dashboard.
The $1M rig was installed at one major Indian coal mine, but the anticipated followup order for their other two or three mines never came.
When a tech rep went to visit and fix a problem on site, the Indian tech guys boasted that they had hacked the software and made their own installations for the other operations. This IP theft or piracy had to have come from the very top management, no doubt enthusiastically pressed by can-do Indian IT staff wanting to save some money.

Don’t make the mistake of equating IQ and education. They are *not* the same thing. IQ is your innate processor speed, it can be destroyed (by injury, poor nutrition etc) but not improved.

Education equates to loading programs onto your computer. If your CPU isn’t up to it, it can’t run the program.

The myth that IQ = education has allowed teachers unions to grift millions of $ to ‘close the gap’ when it’s simply not possible.

The decline of IQ in the west has been caused by dilution of the original (IQ 100) Caucasians with lower IQ imports from the 3rd world, and transfer of ‘reproductive fitness’ from higher to lower IQ caucasian citizens via the welfare state.

Woman discovers traffic camera photographed her underwear
Isabel McMillanNCA NewsWire
Sat, 11 March 2023 11:53AM

A female driver has been left mortified after discovering a traffic camera photographed her underwear.

Cinzie Lee had been captured by a mobile phone detection camera in NSW with her phone on her lap as she was driving.

When she received the photo she was shocked to find the image showed her underwear.

“You could see up my skirt, between my legs. You could see my underwear,” she told 2GB.

Usually, when there’s any sensitive materials in these photos, a black bar is put over the area to censor it.

But the image had not been censored.

Ms Lee said she was left feeling “shock and distress” as the picture had been verified by staff before a fine was issued, meaning multiple people had seen it.

She said she admits she was in the wrong for having her phone on her lap but thought more should be done to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

“Obviously this is happening, probably more than anyone realises,” she said.

“You have no control over who is seeing those photos and how many people are seeing those photos,” she said.

She raised the issue with Service NSW, but received little response.

She then was asked to speak to a prosecutor about the issue.

“I went to court because I wanted to be a voice for the women of New South Wales that this was happening to, and I felt that no one was listening to me, so I wanted it at least to go on the record.”

The magistrate dismissed the upskirting issue in favour of discussing the mobile phone use.

The case was dismissed because of her “impeccable” driving record but Ms Lee was determined to continue her fight so she took her story to the broadcaster.

“I definitely think there has to be a review for sure or there should be some kind of notice given to women and children in New South Wales that anytime you hop into a car, your crotch, between your legs, can be photographed.”

NSW Minister for Roads Natalie Ward confirmed to the broadcaster that a review will take place as a result of Ms Lee’s experience.

“I understand the distress and I have asked Transport for NSW to review protocols for the handling of sensitive images,” she said.

Four, everything Daniel Andrews does is political. He learned to rely on data as an assistant secretary of the Victorian ALP. He runs the most ruthless and formidable political operation in the country. Covid-19 was a health crisis. But it was also a political crisis. And he needed a political response as well as a health response.

We are ruled by a class of people who hate us, hate our society, and have no intention of ever letting us decide our lives for ourselves.
Our Constitution isn’t worth the dunny paper it’s written on, and is adjudicated by people who were elected not by the people whose Constitution they are meant to defend, but by politicians who constantly attack it.
The sooner this shithole of a country has a new Constitution written by the people the better.

Hi all, just got back to my sister’s place in the inner west after attending the rally with my hero, the fabulous Kelly-Jay Kean. I am exhausted, rallies are exhausting. I am really glad I attended, went with my sister. We got there about 11.30, the rally was scheduled from midday to 2.00 p.m. I spoke with Kath Deves and some other women. It was bloody hot, just as well I took my straw hat. When we arrived at the site, there were no police or scum but about 11.50 a.m. the police arrived en masse and then shortly afterwards the scum arrived.

It was a pleasure, a joy to be among like minded people. And what a mixture, there were conservatives, Christians, old and young feminists, Labor women, old lesbians who’d fought real battles back in the 1970s and 1980s, young lesbians, young men, young women, young gay men, old gay men, old people, a real cornucopia of men and women of all ages, ethnicities, sexuality and so on.

There were about 250 of us, and probably about 100 of the leftist scum, who chanted, screamed, shouted and screeched, “far-right”, “nazi”, and “trans rights are human rights”, whatever the f*ck that means, clearly a euphemism to hide the fact that most trans activists are perverts and/or seriously effed up people. That’s all they could scream, they parrot garbage like the indoctrinated little Maoist scum they are. What was odd was that in the scum, there were Morris dancers, dancing around in the heat. The NSW police kept the baying scum at bay, and there were police horses there. The bulk of the police knew where the threats were, and it wasn’t from us, the police and the police horses faced the baying scum.

There was a wonderful feeling of solidarity and conviviality, and of being with men and women who also think that the whole “trans” movement, whilst a joke, is also something worse, far worse, a sinister movement orchestrated to erase women and to deliberately endanger women and children, sexually and physically.

I loved hearing the various women get up and speak, from old lesbians to young Christian women. Everyone was in agreement about how it doesn’t matter what your political affiliation is, that we must agree on this, that we must stand together, and that we must stop being nice. I spoke with some middle aged and older lesbians and I found it interesting how they all said that they’d once been Labor and Green voters but are now refusing to vote for either Labor or the Greens. One older lesbian said to me that she finds it funny how the scum are screeching far-right because yes, they are pushing her to the right.

I had pinned on my dress three stickers, one is “TERF…we know what a woman is”, one “Misogyny is a Drag” and the last one, “Woman, noun, adult human female.

We left at about 2.20, and we passed some police. We asked if it was safe to walk along the path to City Road, where my sister had parked her car. The police yes, don’t worry about the protesters, and then the policewoman said to me “maybe you should take those stickers off your dress”, to which I replied “no way, that’s why I’m here, to stand up to bullies”. She smiled.

My mother had wanted to come, however she’s about to turn 84 years old, it was hot and there wasn’t much seating apart from plonking on the grass, and whilst my mother could probably sit down on the grass, we’d never get her up again, so we advised her not to come. My mother was a founding member of Women’s Electoral Lobby, a strong woman who has never been scared of anything or anyone. There’s something special about that generation of Australian women born between the 1920s and 1960s. Maybe there was something in the water. Those women were and are incredibly strong, opinionated, forthright, the generation that produced Germaine Greer and others. Anyway, speaking to my mother on the way to the rally, she said she’d come with her walking stick and that if anyone dared to abuse or assault her, she’d use the walking stick on them. The thing is, she would.

Transwomen are not women!

Then there is the boffin who thinks Arthur was a Strathclydian General who fought against the Picts in the 530s.

Well, it turns out that Old Frisian and Old English had a lot in common, and that relationship remains today: Frisian is English’s closest living relative with 80% lexical similarity. The final Airbnb had a stovetop system that neither Hairy nor I could work out. No instructions left. We didn’t even try the oven, as it looked even more complicated. We called food in and I reheated it in an old-fashioned microwave I found in a top kitchen shelf. It was rather grubby so I cleaned it first. You can’t disprove DNA with linguistics. What makes vowel shifts happen? Who speaks Frisian anymore? If you can only prove the Frisian link, how does that prove Saxons? Of course the Frisian link exists, it existed before Roman conquest.

100,000 – 150,000 “Anglo Saxons + Jutes” (now also Frisians, more exclusively than the other three to keep the charade up) over a 100+ period is a possibility, migrating to a land with 4 million natives, 3 million in what became England.

How many Australians sing with an Australian accent? John Williamson and Abby Dobson come to mind.

Using linguistics you would conclude in 1,000 years time that descendants of Australian Aborigines and Sudanese migrants were invaded and genocided by Americans who were the descendants of the English who did the same in America and the French certainly never colonised parts of the US.

Invasion? Not very likely.

https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-31905764

“The new analysis shows a modest level of Saxon DNA, suggesting that the native British populations lived alongside each other and intermingled with the Anglo Saxons to become the English.

There is some evidence in the study that intermingling did not happen immediately following the Saxons’ arrival, but occurred at least 100 years later. This suggests that Britons and Saxons had separate communities to begin with, and then over time they began to merge.”

You have to keep in mind that people were crossing the channel routinely in Roman times too and Sweden for a long time had a trading and migration link with southern Britain.
