I’m not sure how we ended up here, but I don’t think you’ve read what I said very well.

I read it extremely well, Winston.

You said the Lehrman’s life was not destroyed by the appalling injustice he was subjected to. He will have to go on to do something else and get on with it.

Yeah.
He can go lay bricks or pick fruit.
It will be very liberating we are told.
Until some spiky-haired activist or disapproving Teal-Karen in HR at his employer, or at one of his clients spots him.
Then he moves on to his next low level job.
And it happens again and again.
Pretty easy for someone who has been in a safe job all their life to glibly advise someone to become a modern day swaggy, without the benefit of anonymity every time he shows up in a new town.

Regardless of slights or perceived slights here, what is needed is a victory in the defamation case with terms of apologies being made in major newspapers and massive monetary compensation, along with trying anyone for perjury who has already made an admission to the fact.

Until this happens regularly, false accusers will continue their vile work.

How many people decided to get the jab without asking the wankers in the nursing home to wheel their parents out on their beds and into the sunlight so there would be no need for the jab status?

Is it a prison?

I’m guessing, not many.

Can not speak for other establishments other than the nursing home I am stuck in, but in this case, if you left the building for any reason at all you were placed into ten days isolation. Maybe some people thought that was too high a price to pay for a twenty minute visit.

Journalistic apartheid is ushered in at the ABC by sTan Grant:

At times like this I wonder what is the point in writing anything that appeals to the better angels of white people because that seems like a fool’s errand. I am writing this only for my people.

No doubt soon you’ll have to show your Blak card to continue reading.

Racism that happens away from the headlines and never stops.

I am writing because it has happened to my children playing sport.

It happens to my parents.

It has happened to me.

It happened only last year when I was called a n***** loudly to my face by a passer-by while filming out the back of the ABC.

I felt like I had been punched in the face. I felt angry, hurt, confused. And then I cried.

Lol is this guy for real? Does anyone seriously believe this happened?

I am not writing this to make white people understand. I am not writing this expecting it will change anything.

Well, you could always end the article there so as not to waste your time.

I have made the mistake time and again of trying to bridge the divide in our country, in the hope that we can be better and look what keeps happening.

I have wanted to believe in this country’s promise of a fair go and look what keeps happening.

What is it that keeps happening? Is it you getting another promotion?

Racism is written into our constitution. There it is still, in Section 25, a heinous clause that can allow for people to be denied the right to vote on the basis of race.

Sigh. It does no such thing. The purpose of s 25 was to dissuade individual states from excluding ‘races’ from voting in state elections by subtracting the excluded people from the impugned state’s population for the purpose of calculating the proportion of its representation in the HoR relative to that of other states. In fact, it was targeting only non-Indigenous races, given s 127 excluded Aboriginals from these counts.

The only way it could possibly be said to “allow for people to be denied the right to vote on the basis of race” is that it does not expressly forbid this, but the same could be said for every other constitutional provision. sTan is talking bollocks.

Section 51:26 says the parliament can make laws for the people of any race.

That is known as the “race power” and it is used to make special laws for my people.

What do you mean, “my people”? Don’t you mean ‘us’? Aren’t you writing for your people, sTan? Why aren’t you talking to them?

Why am I writing at all? I am writing this for my people. To offer what I can to how we might survive. How we might endure.

If the survival of sTan’s people depends on what he offers through his writing, his people are doomed.

I have gone home even more this year. I spend so much of my time trying to be a translator to explain myself. Home — on country — is the untranslatable space.

Even more this year? So he went there once? Being in the untranslatable space for an hour or two translates into countless race grievance columns, so it has its benefits I suppose.

Until this happens regularly, false accusers will continue their vile work.

Yes Dot. But we have two different things here.

First is the question for the falsely accused – where do I go from here? If there is no remedy through the courts, what then?

The second it the principle itself – a false accuser must be punished. My punishment would be in line with a very old and well-established one – the person should suffer the same fate as that which would be meted out on the accused.

You gotta laugh.

The myth of Chinese supremacy
Strategic incompetence has always plagued Beijing

……….but many of the misrepresentations of that 1972 trip linger till this day — of which the most important by far is the legend of China’s strategic statecraft, superior by virtue of its very long-range perspective, then personified by Zhou Enlai. Because Kissinger negotiated primarily with Zhou, he elevated that servile toady — who never once tried to save life-long colleagues from Mao’s murderous intrigues — into a statesman of transcendental wisdom, fully endowed in the long-view department.

They should not. Chas W. Freeman, the interpreter, immediately told Kissinger that Zhou was referring to the 1968 student uprising that overthrew De Gaulle, whose final outcome was indeed still unclear in 1972. But Kissinger refused to give up his two centuries for a mere four years, and continued to repeat the story when gracing the dinner tables of the extremely rich in subsequent decades.

This was exemplified by Zhou’s answer to Kissinger’s fawning request for his retrospective view of the French Revolution. Indeed, Kissinger never tired of relaying the Great Man’s answer: “Too early to tell”. You see, you see, Kissinger would add, China’s greatest minds look ahead 200 years. Today, authors and publishers still use “playing the long game” in the subtitles of books about China.

Given the show’s history of total ‘me too’ mania it can be assumed that the program will focus on police failings and totally ignore the fact that all of his problems stem totally from a woman criminally levelling false accusations against him. A woman who will avoid deserved retribution.

Shut up’ is out: sensitivity editors come for Famous Five

By CLAIRE HARVEY
March 12, 2023
3 minute read

The phrases “Shut up”, “Don’t be an ass”, and “Don’t be an idiot” have been quietly cut from Enid Blyton’s Famous Five, in the latest example of children’s literature being rewritten to suit modern sensibilities.

The move comes less than a month after UK publisher Puffin was forced into a backdown after attempting to remove words such as “fat” and “ugly” from Roald Dahl classics including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

An audiobook of one of the Famous Five’s adventures, The Famous Five Short Story Collection, has been edited in recent months to delete the phrases, uttered by the child characters beloved by generations of readers.
Read Next

The first tale in the collection, Five Have a Puzzling Time, was first published in a children’s comic in 1960.

It involves the Five – cousins Julian, Dick, George and Anne, as well as faithful dog Timmy – venturing to wild Kirrin Island to investigate mysterious lights.

In the original version, George wakes her cousin Anne, who says: “Oh George, don’t be an ass. As if you could get your boat and row across the bay in the middle of the night!”

This phrase has suddenly been deleted from the audiobook, which now has Anne saying: “Oh George. As if you could get your boat and row across the bay in the middle of the night!”

In the original, George’s cousin Julian also rebukes her, saying: “Shut up, George. Be sensible.”

In the audiobook, “shut up” has been deleted and Julian simply says: “George, be sensible.”

The Famous Five, which Blyton first released in 1942 and continued writing through to the 1960s, is notable for the inclusion of a female character – Georgina Kirrin – who dresses and acts as a boy, and refuses to answer to any name except “George”. Other “tomboy” characters appear in the series, including a girl named Henrietta who insists on being known as Henry, and demands to be treated as a boy.

Those references appear to have been left untouched in the new edits.

At least two instances of “Don’t be an idiot” have been cut from the Famous Five Short Story Collection audiobook, including in another story called George’s Hair Is Too Long, where George insists on getting a haircut because she looks too much like a girl.

Dick’s exclamation “Don’t be an idiot’’ has been cut from that story in the audiobook.

However, another instance of “shut up” remains in the story, this time uttered by a thief apprehended by the children.

“You shut up and clear off,” the man tells Julian and Dick in both the original and audiobook editions.

The phrases “shut up” and “idiot” also remain in a Hodder Children’s Books edition of the same book, available in e-bookstores as a downloadable title.

However, the e-book has been purged of the word “ass”, with Anne’s phrase “Don’t be an ass” amended in the e-book to read “Don’t be an idiot”.

As Blyton readers will know, “ass” is used in her books in the traditional English sense to mean “donkey”.

Blyton has been the subject of debate over the representations of characters in her stories, including the Golliwogs in the Noddy books. Names have been altered in some of Blyton’s other books,

Quite so. The collision of cultures and subcultures within the army. Courage and cowardice, foolhardiness and ingenuity. You see the way the British fought with precision and discipline, and that is matched by Cetshwayo’s warriors. The tactics are different but effective.

Last June I sat with my young financial adviser. Having sold investment property at the peak we talked about what to do after capital gains took chunk. He was partially swayed by woke ie green energy, rare earths etc. but my view was that if interest rates rise such companies will likely be in more trouble as they are highly leveraged, therefore we shifted investments to companies not leveraged but in same field. Sure some of those companies we discarded might skyrocket in the interim but not for me. I don’t need the adrenalin. Investments now returning 7.9%. So happy for the moment but who knows what next. Never forget the “Black Swan”.

They did . . . the hospital was attacked in the evening and throughout the night, the Zulus kept up a constant assault against the British positions.

12 overs left in the day.

It’s all about intent. If India were serious they’d declare now with a slight lead, give Straya (remembering Khawaja’s apparently injured) a red hot nine overs and see if they want to go for gold with a declaration of their own around tea time tomorrow.

Or, they could just keep on going and turn the entire fifth day into junk time if they wanted to be squeezers about it.

Climate Activists Despair as Oil Giant Saudi Aramco Posts Record $161 Billion Profit for 2022 (12 Mar)

“Climate activists reacted with equal measures of anger and despair Sunday at the news oil giant Saudi Aramco achieved record profits totalling $161.1 billion last year as global demand for fossil fuels shows no sign of abating anytime soon.

Agnes Callamard, secretary-general of Amnesty International, issued a statement in response to the profits castigating the company for profiting from global demand for its product:

“It is shocking for a company to make a profit of more than $161 billion in a single year through the sale of fossil fuel –- the single largest driver of the climate crisis.”

I like how with one sentence Amnesty International demonstrates that they are communist climate wackos. Which we probably knew, but it’s always good to hear it directly from the horse’s mouth.

An interesting read, allegedly from 4chan, posted by vox day here:
https://voxday.net/2023/03/12/anacyclosis-in-action/

This was already noted by Polybios in the 2nd century BC, and he referred to his own society – the Hellenistic Greece. Polybios is recognized as “father of sociology”, and he witnessed his own civilization falling and being conquered by Rome.

Anacyclosis is the circulation of governmental forms: warlordship-monarchy-dictatorship-aristocracy-oligarchy-democracy-ochlocracy. Which follows with societal collapse and back into warlordship. The cycle starts anew. The cycle can skip one or more phases or go backwards, but it will never stop on itself.

The theory of anacyclosis is based upon the Greek typology of constitutional forms of rule by the one, the few, and the many. Anacyclosis states that three basic forms of “benign” government (monarchy, aristocracy, and democracy) are inherently weak and unstable, tending to degenerate rapidly into the three basic forms of “malignant” government (tyranny, oligarchy, and ochlocracy). They, however are disliked and not tolerated well, and people tend to seek the “benign” forms.

According to the doctrine, “benign” governments have the interests of all at heart, whereas “malignant” governments have the interests of a select few at heart. However, all six are considered unworkable because the first three rapidly transform into the latter three due to political corruption, and the latter three tend to collapse from violence.

Widespread Atheism is a sign of democracy transforming into ochlocracy – the mob rule – and Polybios himself witnessed that happening in the Hellenistic Greece. The rise of Materialism and philosophy had killed off the Greek Pagan religion, and it was nothing but an empty shell any more – he said nobody believed in the gods any more. The result was general hedonism, disinterest in upkeeping of the society, amassing of personal fortune and collapse of birth rates.

Polybios himself was a soldier, and he complained of the demoralization of the Hellenistic civilization in general. He lived through collapse of Macedon and defeat of the last king, Perseus, in the battle of Pydna 168 BC. Polybios stated that when a nation loses its faith on its gods, it loses its faith on itself and in the future. He also saw the Roman military, witnessed the Punic Wars and saw how Republican Rome was far less civilized than the Hellenistic sphere, but it was young and hungry.

Polybios considered democracy as the pinnacle of the anacyclosis. Yet in the same way that the descendants of kings and aristocrats abused their political status, so too will the descendants of democrats. Accordingly, democracy degenerates into ochlocracy, literally, “mob-rule”. In an ochlocracy, according to Polybius, the people of the state will become corrupted, and will develop a sense of entitlement and will be conditioned to accept the pandering of demagogues and Populist politicians. Essentially, government becomes a puppet show because a transition in power does not affect a civilian on a day-to-day basis.

This phase sees a widespread Atheism. People lose their faith in gods, and they lose their faith in the society and themselves and in the future. They rather concentrate on what they have here and now – and the result is widespread Hedonism, amassing of wealth and collapse of birth rates. Eventually an ochlocratic society will collapse – either into civil war and anarchy – or is conquered by an external conqueror. The cycle starts anew.

The same happened to Rome 400 years later with the Third Century Crisis. The Roman Polytheism was moribund already in the Early Imperial era, and it collapsed during the Middle Imperial. The Roman Empire was basically a religious vacuum – or a chaotic hotbed of religious competition – by the 3rd century, and the Empire tore in three parts by 242. Only the reconquest of Aurelianus and the reforms of Diocletianus saved the moribund empire and purchased it 100 years more time. But the Empire cleft in two in 395 and the Western Empire went bankrupt 476. Only the rise of a new religion – Christianity – consolidated the situation, and saved the Roman civilization in West and the Roman Empire in the East – the Eastern Roman Empire lasted for 1000 years more.

But also the fate of the Cordoba caliphate in Spain and its collapse is an example of anacyclosis, and the most striking example is the fate of USSR – and each and every Communist regime.

Not all Atheists are Communists, but all Communists are Atheists. The USSR was a acumen of an Atheist society, and Atheism was enforced on all levels of the society. The result was an Orwellian totalitarian dictatorship – the worst tyranny and oppression the world has ever seen, a genocide of millions of people and destruction od centuries of culture – and eventually collapse. USSR collapsed in less than three generations after it had been founded. The only way it could stay together was excessive use of lies, coercion and state violence.

Both Dima Vorobiev, Misha Firer and Dimitry Kosh can confirm my observations and tell how it was. They lived through the USSR. They have first hand experience of it all. And they can tell how it went and what happened to Atheism in the USSR.

Another way to inspect the deleterious effect of widespread Atheism in society are the fates of various ideal communities and ideal societies. All non-religious ideal societies, such as kolkhozes, kibbutzim, Hippie communities and Naturist communities, have collapsed in three generations at latest – due to internal disputes and strife – while religious ideal societies can last for millennia. The Hutterites are a primary example of this, but so are monasteries. Monte Cassino was founded in 529 AD and Heian in 711 AD, and both Christian and Buddhist ideal societies are still going strong. The only kibbutzim in Israel today are those which are religious.

There is also a third way to observe and confirm this phenomenon – that widespread Atheism is a sign of a collapsing society – and it is meme theory, 12 leverage points’ theorem and cultural evolution. The meme theory claims the cultural evolution is analogous to biological evolution – the nature works on analogies – and same principles apply. The meme theory insists that cultural evolution works on similar information carrying replication units as the biological, called memes – which form memeplexes like the biological evolution forms organisms and species. And for each species there is an ecological niche – and the same applies for memeplexes in the cultural evolution.

Religion is perhaps the oldest memeplex there is – it predates Homo sapiens, and can even be observed on some animals. There clearly is thus an ecological niche for it. An ecological niche can be vacated, but never destroyed. And when an ecological niche is vacated, it keeps getting re-occupied – the evolutionary race to occupy it starts anew.

In the 12 leverage points’ theorem, religion corresponds to the most powerful leverage point – the power to transcend the paradigm. Religion is the only thing which can overcome the Dunbar number, and it is the mortar which binds the individual human bricks of the society into a durable societal edifice. Religion is the basis of all ethics, social contracts, how we form the society, how we relate to society, to each other, what we value, what we shun, what we consider beneath our dignity, how we relate to work and labour and how we relate to outsiders. Every religion creates a society of its image. Not the other way – this was Marx’s tragic error. Lutheranism creates the Scandinavian model while Islam creates Talibanistan.

Atheism corresponds to an empty ecological niche. It is basically an all-bets-are-off situation. Remove the mortar, and all you have is a heap of individual bricks, which will collapse at the slightest push. An Atheist society cannot endure setbacks or violent challenges, while religious can.

And KGB knew all this. It did not know of memetics, but it knew of “cultural hegemony” by Antonio Gramsci, and it knew religion was the only force which could turn the Communist subversion back and restore the citizen society. This was the reason why anti-religious work was so important in the ideological warfare of the Communist world against the free world. By rottening the religion from inside, USSR aimed for the collapse of the free world. And it was a success beyond measure. But the irony of history is that USSR collapsed first.

There is also a fourth way to confirm these observations. Religions do not spread by conversion. They spread by breeding. Remember Polybios observed that widespread Atheism goes hand in hand with collapsing birth rates?

This is exactly what is happening in the Western world today.

Does Pence realize how much he stinks? I guess when you’re in the bubble what real people think is irrelevant. The whole last six years has been a revelation. Phonies like Howard outing themselves.

Officially denied then eh? – its on then.

Certainly mixed messages Duk.

“In a reversal of what Janet Yellen said just hours ago, WaPo reports that federal authorities are “seriously considering safeguarding all uninsured deposits at Silicon Valley Bank” – and by extension any other bank on the verge of failure – and are weighing an extraordinary intervention to prevent what they fear would be a panic in the U.S. financial system. Translation: bailout of all depositors, not just those guaranteed by the the FDIC (<$250K)."

The screeching from the left to bail out their blue-eye boy wonders (or whatever they identify as) must be shaking the White House like an earthquake. All those lefty tech firms, and as Makka says it appears SVB was deeply embedded in the climate scam too. Heller has a blog post up on this topic.

People Who Are Incapable Of Learning (12 Mar)

I’m sure SVB are major donors to the Democrats too, although I’ve seen no reports yet to that effect.

1500+ climate and energy tech companies went broke trying to monetise a non-existent climate scare.

In the words of a long-dead Australian trade union leader (Norm Gallagher), it couldn’t have happened to a nicer pack of bastards.

The Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department are preparing emergency measures to shore up banks and ensure they can meet potential demands by their customers to withdraw money, as the US seeks to stave off a deeper crisis after SVB Financial Group’s failure.

The Fed is planning to ease the terms of banks’ access to its discount window, giving firms a way to turn assets that have lost value into cash without the kind of losses that toppled SVB’s Silicon Valley Bank. The Fed and Treasury are also preparing a program to backstop deposits using the Fed’s emergency lending authority.

Woops. My bad. The climate scare certainly does exist, but the climate “crisis” is an hilarious case of mass mental illness among the wealthiest people on earth.

  2. Still waiting to hear if https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kash_Patel#Post-government_career gets a guernsey in Trump’s cabinet. Wasn’t he touted not long ago as favourite…
