A few tweets at the gruinaid.
They are crowing that the Fed police refused to separate the pro and anti-trans groups therefore a number of anti-trans speakers people pulled out of attending.

Seperate tweets..

Back at the rally, and Paul says Pauline Hanson has stepped up to the microphone to speak in favour of Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull. Her offsider Malcolm Roberts is there, along with Palmer senator Ralph Babet, but that’s all the politicians he sees in support of the British agitator.

Voice to Parliament a ‘simple but powerful act’ (Sky News, 23 Mar)

Indigenous Australians Minister Linda Burney says it is a “truly historic day” in which Australia takes a step forward towards constitutional recognition for Indigenous Australians through the Voice to Parliament.

“Recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the constitution will be a simple but powerful act,” she said during a media conference on Thursday.

From BoN’s link at 12:49 pm:

According to The Australian, cabinet ministers were advised on Wednesday the government should take out “executive government” from the draft constitutional amendment and replace it with “ministers of the crown”.

The eleventh-hour change to the wording is believed to prevent public servants from being roped into demands for consultation from the voice.

Funny that.
For months we’ve been assured by Experts that there’s nothing but love and Unicorns in the wording – and no chance at all whatsoever of engaging the High Court in the machinery of government.

On ABC radio this week Albanese said there would be “an obligation to consult the voice” on matters directly affecting Indigenous people, such as native title.

“None of that would be subject to the court,” he said. “Someone couldn’t say, ‘Oh, hang on, we haven’t been consulted about that issue. You need to stop the process.’ It doesn’t do that. The processes of the parliament can occur unimpeded.”

In good hands.

Two friends have been diagnosed with severe GERD (gastric reflux) recently and one of them (referred to a specialist) has been told it is a symptom of Long Covid. My granddaughter (who has suffered from GERD for a while) has recently developed more commonly occurring symptoms.

For this reason I have been searching the internet for information about the relationship between gastric reflux and Covid. I have discovered that it is known by the medical profession as a relatively well known symptom of Covid and Long Covid. I thought I knew a fair bit about Covid, having spent many hours of every day from early 2021 to late last year researching it, yet, I was not aware of this relationship. I then found at least one medical journal article which connected the gastric reflux symptom also the the Covid vaccines – which is logical, since research on Covid/GERD has postulated that the spike protein is responsible!

Yet, predictably, I have found only one article (there may be more) connecting GERD to an adverse reaction to the Covid vaccines. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9250884/

TASS – MILITARY OPERATION IN UKRAINE22 MAR, 22:20

Approaches to Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut in Ukraine) under Russian artillery control, says DPR

Currently, Russian forces control about 70% of the Artyomovsk area

MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut in Ukraine) has been fully sealed off by Russian forces and all the approaches to the city are under artillery control, Yan Gagin, military-political expert and adviser to the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said on Wednesday.

“The city is in operational encirclement, which means that all the approaches and all the transportation arteries leading to it are under the control of our artillery. In principle, it can be said that the city has been actually sealed off,” he said in a live broadcast on the Rossiya-1 television channel.

Currently, Russian forces control about 70% of the Artyomovsk area. The Ukrainian garrison positioned in the city numbers about 10,000-strong personnel, he added.

Artyomovsk is located on the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk People’s Republic and is a major transportation hub for the Ukrainian army’s supplies in Donbass. Fierce fighting for the city is underway. Acting DPR Head Denis Pushilin has repeatedly said that there is no evidence of the Ukrainian army’s plans to leave Artyomovsk. Meanwhile, Kiev claims that the city’s defense will be bolstered. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky earlier said that Ukrainian troops would not surrender Artyomovsk and would fight for it as long as they could.

White House Neocon Spokesman Admits – They Do Not Want Peace in Ukraine

“I have had two employees from Ukraine – Kiev and Donetsk. The one from Kiev just mouths the standard Ukrainian propaganda. If they give up the Donbas, they will then want all of Ukraine. The UK is deeply involved walking hand and hand with Biden into world war III. They have clearly crossed the Rubicon here and for no justification. Had they simply honored the Minsk Agreement and let the Donbas, which is ethnically Russian, separate from a regime that hates their guts the war would be over in 5 minutes.

Instead, Britain appears to have been planning to give Ukraine nuclear weapons with depleted Uranium. Putin has come out and warned the UK that “the delivery and use of depleted uranium missiles by the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be perceived as an attack against Russia with a weapon that has a ‘nuclear component’.” Putin elaborated:

“Today it became known that the United Kingdom, through the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense of the country, announced the supply of not only tanks to Ukraine but also shells with depleted uranium. It seems that the West really decided to fight Russia in the last Ukrainian not with words, but with deeds Russia will be forced to react once the collective West starts using weapons with a nuclear component.”

There are some who believe that Ukraine should just be nuked. Give the people 2 weeks to flee to Poland or Germany, and then nuke the region and make it unlivable. That is basically the legion that Rome certainly razed the city entirely, but there are no contemporary sources stating that the Romans salted the land to prevent the city of Carthage from rising a fourth time. The Greek writer from the 1st century BC, Diodorus Siculus, informs us that the city had been razed and Carthaginians destroyed. Horace informs us that after the city was destroyed, the land was symbolically plowed. Polybius in his “The Histories” makes no mention of the land being salted just that the city was completely destroyed. Appian of Alexandria does record that Carthage was reconstructed by the first Emperor Augustus (27BC-14AD) and to avoid the evil spells that were cast on the ground, Carthage was rebuilt in a different location.

Surely, if Russia nuked Ukraine that would kill the European breadbasket and it would guarantee Ukraine’s neutrality. Is that the only way to terminate this Neocon Proxy Way and save the world?

The three Punic Wars (264 BC–146 BC) between Rome and Carthage were a turning point in the history of the Mediterranean world and, more than any other conflict, the Second Punic War (218 BC–201 BC) appears to have been a defining time in Roman history. We also see the debasement in that coinage of Carthage as they waged war to defeat Rome. You can see the early silver coinage debased as the war unfolded.

As Hannibal marched through Spain and invaded Italy from the North, Rome issued its first gold coinage more as a symbol of wealth to the other Italian city-states that they should standby Rome and not join Hannibal.

On the Roman side, we also see the consequence of the war with the debasement of the silver quadrigatus, which was the Greek denomination of the didrachm they complied with for trade with the Greek world. Here too, we can see the cost of war is not just the lives lost, but also the inflation and the monetary debasement.

Hannibal’s war also forced Rome to establish the denarius, which was the weight reduction from the Greek standard of the Didrachm 6.5 grams to 4.0 grams in 211BC. Even though Rome won, the lesson here is that sometimes wars result in the complete collapse of a monetary standard and the rebirth of a new currency. This is what we face. The Neocons care nothing about the economics, nor about the lives of the people they send to die for their arrogance. They are the worst of humanity and should be driven from governments on a global scale.

Indeed, King Louis XIV (1643-1715) was on his deathbed when he lamented.

“I have been too fond of war.”
Meanwhile, the arrogance of the Neocons trying to dictate to the world and ordering China not to help Russia, Xi’s trip to Russia had no other outcome but to support Russia as he called Putin a ‘dear friend’ as China now pushes back against U.S. power knowing full well the real agenda here is to weaken Russia and then for NATO to invade on any pretense to destroy Russia once and for all. This is the Neocon’s dream and they could care less about the Ukrainian people. I have warned that the Ukrainian people are there to be slaughtered for the glory of the Neocons.”

Johnny Rotten – I love your referencing of the Punic Wars. Others have also drawn parallels with the Peloponnesian War between Athens and her allies & Sparta and their allies. Every student of Ancient History always marvels at the repetitive nature of the causes of human hostilities.

But we seem to fall blindly into the same pathways or succumb to the same moralistic rationales. While this seemingly reflects badly on the usefulness of History as a learning tool, I still naively cling to the possibility that we will learn something from the past.

I share your belief that had they agreed to peace talks in Turkey they may have reached an agreement to surrender, under UN supervision, the Donbas. Or at least allow a UN supervised poll re separation.

Vicki – the “Thucydides Trap” is still relevant today: between Russia and NATO. I hope the Z War doesn’t last for thirty years like the P War did.

His is a fine read btw. Fascinating since Athens ruled the seas and Sparta were unbeatable on land, although the Athenians could stand them off if they had fortifications that they could defend. Athens increasingly matched Sparta in proto-fascism as time went by, which is why they lost. Expediency doesn’t trump values.

Christian extremists- compare and contrast to the number of arrests at most lefty rallies that turn into violent activities.

Police are monitoring militant religious groups after tension over LGBTQ rights erupted into a violent attack on pro-trans protesters, who one fringe leader said should be “dragged by their … hair” away from a south-west Sydney Catholic church.

Christian activist Christian Sukkar was arrested and charged with encouraging the commission of crimes after he allegedly posted a video on social media on Monday, calling on “real boys … to shake [the protesters] up” and drag them by the hair.

The LGBTQ protesters, who did not want to be named because they feared for their safety, said they were ambushed when they arrived to object to One Nation leader Mark Latham’s address on parental rights at St Michael’s in Belfield.

Police sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said they have been watching tensions rise since the funeral of Catholic Cardinal George Pell, when Christian groups cut down ribbons tied to church fences by LGBTQ and child protection advocates.

Next Sunday, Christian Lives plans to mark the Day of the Unborn Child with a march. On a social media post, the timing of which was unclear, Rainbow Rights called on its members to attend and “counter-protest anti-abortion bigots”.

Correct, and then these cowards got the fright of their lives when hundreds of south-western Sydney men, men who aren’t soy boys and who bear zero resemblance to the soy boys living in Newtown and Surry Hills, turned up. The far-left feral cockroaches also deliberately damaged a crucifix and tried to set fire to it.

I was speaking with a bright young lady (double degree, law & psychology) last weekend who said to me that the government response to covid made her realise that she needed to look beyond this world for meaning as so much of what she’d put her trust in (including people in authority) was revealed to be hollow and bereft of integrity.

“I need spirituality,” Brand told Fox News host Tucker Carlson last week. “I need God, or I cannot cope in this world.”

That’s a really good start Mr Brand! I suggest you get a Bible and read it. Start with the four Gospels and the letters, then go back to the OT to see how it links together.

I can’t wait for Hollywood to remake 1984 with Minitru employee Winston Smith played by a black lesbian.

BIG PATRIARCHY IS WATCHING YOU!

Perhaps, scene where she is seated in the single spot in the apartment where the Telescreen camera is not visible, Winstonita Ngsmith can write in her diary “If there is any hope it lies in blokes who have cut their dicks off and wear frocks, and shielas who have had their tits hacked off and their forearms flensed and the skin fashioned into tubes they pass off as penises.”

And that poignant last scene where she is sitting in a cafe, smoking Rape Culture Cigarettes and sipping Rape Culture Gin, when she looks up at the telescreen and sees the face of Big Patriarchy, shimmering through her tears of joy, of happiness, happiness that she had finally won victory over herself and now did indeed love Big Patriarchy.

The 1933 Bank Holiday – Can it Happen Again?

QUESTION: Marty there are a lot of people who seem to be trying to create a panic. Some are claiming the stock market will plunge by 50%. Others are saying nothing will survive other than gold. It seems like none of these people have any sense of what is really unfolding. They were saying the same thing for different reasons before the banking crisis. Can you offer any historical perspective?

Thank you. You seem to be the only real source these days.

Pete

ANSWER: The Bank Holiday took place the first week of March 1933. It began with governors closing down the banks in their states. Once one began, like COVID rules, they quickly jumped on the bandwagon. As reported by March 4th, 1933, some 41 states had already declared a banking holiday. Back then, the president took office in March – not January. Thus, Roosevelt was sworn in on March 4th, 1933. As the new president, FDR delivered what is arguably his best-known speech.

“So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is…fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and of vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. And I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.”

The following day, Roosevelt declared a national banking holiday on March 5th, 1933. Then Congress responded by passing the Emergency Banking Act of 1933 on March 9th, 1933. This action was combined with the Federal Reserve’s commitment to supply unlimited amounts of currency to reopened banks. Back then, they effectively created a de facto 100% deposit insurance and this was before the FDIC was created.

However, what the history books have omitted because it revealed the real reason for the major banking crisis, was the confiscation of gold precisely as Germany did in December 1922 seizing 10% of all assets which unleashed hyperinflation in 1923.

In Herbert Hoover’s memoirs (1951), he documents the fact that Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) played a very dirty game of politics. There were rumors that FDR would confiscate gold in 1932 BEFORE the election. These rumors spread and people ran to banks to withdraw their funds. The night before the election in 1932, FDR denied that he would do such a thing. After FDR won the election, the real bank panic began. FDR would not take office until March 1933.

The run on banks began as the Great Depression started. In 1929 alone, 659 banks closed their doors due to mismanagement and speculation. Ironically, to save money on paper, it was also in 1929 when the currency was reduced in size to save money. This time, they want to move to digital and save 100% on printing money. Here in 2023, the failures are due to the WOKE agenda which has deprived the banks of risk management rather than speculation.

However, as the 1931 Sovereign Debt Crisis hit, the number of bank failures skyrocketed. Goldman Sacks and others were selling foreign bonds to Americans in small denominations., As Europe began to default, US banks holding foreign debt and individuals in need of cash led to a banking panic for external reasons. Here is a chart showing the listing of bonds on the NYSE. We can easily see the collapse in the bond market thanks to the 1931 Sovereign Debt Crisis.

By 1932, an additional 5,102 banks went out of business. Families lost their life savings overnight. Thirty-eight states had adopted restrictions on withdrawals in an effort to forestall the panic. By March 4th, 41 states had declared a bank holiday shutting down banks. Bank failures increased in 1933, and Franklin Roosevelt deemed remedying these failing financial institutions his first priority after being inaugurated.

However, it was actually the election of FDR that started the banking crisis post-1931. Hoover pleaded with FDR to please come out and address the gold confiscation rumors. People had been hoarding their gold coins fearing the rumored confiscation. Despite Hoover’s plea for FDR to come out and deny the rumors after the election, he remained silent. Given FDR’s manipulation of Japan and the attack on Pearl Harbor which he appeared to instigate with sanctions confiscating Japanese assets in the USA, denying the sale of any energy to Japan, and then threatening to use the fleet to block them from buying fuel from anywhere else, They Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. There were Senate investigations afterward about FDR’s role because the US had already broken the Japanese code and knew in advance about the attack on Pearl Harbor. He did that to force the US into World War II.

It was in his character to remain silent and create the worst banking crisis in history before he was sworn in as president. FDR was a radical socialist and many viewed that he admired Lenin. If it were not for Mr. Jones exposing the truth behind Stalin, even the corrupt New York Times journalist promoting Stalinism was meeting with FDR. The run on the banks became massive when FDR won the election on November 8th, 1932. FDR allowed the banking system to implode with people rushing to withdraw the money in gold coins.

At 1:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6th, 1933, President Roosevelt issued Proclamation 2039 ordering the suspension of all banking transactions, effective immediately. Roosevelt had taken the oath of office only thirty-six hours earlier.

The terms of the presidential proclamation specified:

[N]o such banking institution or branch shall pay out, export, earmark, or permit the withdrawal or transfer in any manner or by any device whatsoever, of any gold or silver coin or bullion or currency or take any other action which might facilitate the hoarding thereof; nor shall any such banking institution or branch pay out deposits, make loans or discounts, deal in foreign exchange, transfer credits from the United States to any place abroad, or transact any other banking business whatsoever.

For an entire week, Americans would not have access to banks or banking services. They could not withdraw or transfer their money, nor could they make deposits. The entire economy ran simply on cash in your pocket.

While the first phase of the banking crisis unfolded after 1929 due to speculation losses (hence Glass–Steagall Act), then the second phase was the 1931 Sovereign Debt Crisis, it was the third phase with the election of FDR that led to thousands of banks failing as there was a mad rush to withdraw your gold coin. But a new round of problems that began in early 1933 placed a severe strain on New York banks, many of which held balances for banks in other parts of the country. About 4,000 banks failed during this period alone bringing the total to over 9,000.

Much to everyone’s relief, when the institutions that could reopen for business on March 13th, 1933 saw depositors standing in line to return their stashed cash to neighborhood banks. Within two weeks, Americans had redeposited more than half of the currency that they had withdrawn post-FDR’s election on November 8th, 1932. This would prove to be a sneaky trick of FDR to get people to redeposit all the gold coins they had withdrawn – as we are about to explore.

The stock market was also ordered closed when FDR came to power. With the cleverness of a real con artist operating a Ponzi Scheme to gain the confidence of the people, FDR needed the gold coin to be deposited for Phase 4 of the banking crisis. On March 15th, 1933, (The Ides of March), the stock market was allowed to reopen. On the first day of trading, the New York Stock Exchange recorded the largest one-day percentage price increase ever.

The week before the closure, the Dow Jones Industrials fell to 49.68. The week following the closure, the Dow rallied to 64.56 – a percentage gain of virtually 30% over the banking holiday. The shorts who were better on the collapse of the market once it reopened were devastated. It was a major short-covering rally.

With the benefit of hindsight, the nationwide Bank Holiday and the Emergency Banking Act of March 1933, ended the bank runs that had plagued the Great Depression, but it also set the stage for the confiscation of gold. What you have to understand is that Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s (FDR) actions in 1933 were not directed simply at gold. He was embarking on what he called the New Deal, which was a Marxist Agenda that was very popular at the time. His New Deal would end austerity, whereby they were maintaining a balanced budget in the belief that they needed to inspire confidence in the currency.

It was this balanced budget philosophy that also inspired John Maynard Keynes who argued that in times of economic distress when the demand has collapsed, that is when the state needs to run a deficit and increase the money supply. There was a simultaneous international flight of capital from Europe to the United States in the face of European sovereign debt defaults. That capital flight lasted for nearly two years until FDR won the election in 1932. There was much concern that Roosevelt would do what Germany did in 1922 in confiscating assets. That was the rumor about the possible confiscation of gold.

Milton Friedman criticized the Fed because the capital flows poured into the US but they refused to monetize it. We can see that as Europe defaulted on its debts in 1931, the capital rushed head-first into the dollar. Then we see that the dollar peaked in November 1932 with the election of FDR fearing that would weaken the dollar and exploit the economy. All this gold came to the USA pushing the dollar higher, but the Fed refused to monetize it, was Milton’s criticism. The backing of gold behind the dollar doubled in supply between 1929 and 1931.

So, you must separate gold and the devaluation of the dollar to comprehend what the issue was all about. FDR could have simply abandoned the gold standard, as did Britain, and not confiscated gold. However, that would have also been sufficient to end austerity. But the bankers would have profited and sold the gold overseas at higher prices. Roosevelt in his confiscation of gold was intended to deprive the private sector of profiting from his devaluation of the dollar which was rising the price of gold from $20 to $35. You must keep in mind that he even degraded Pierre du Pont (1870-1954) and called him the “Merchant of Death” because he produced arms for World War I and made a profit off of that war demand. Many saw Roosevelt as a traitor to his own class.

ExecutiveOrder-Gold-ConfiscationThe confiscation of the gold was for two reasons. First, FDR was changing the monetary system from one where there was no distinction domestically from internationally to a two-tier system. Gold would freely circulate without restriction only internationally. Therefore, the confiscation of gold was altering the monetary system moving to a two-tier monetary system with gold only used in international transactions.

Consequently, FDR confiscated gold to move to a two-tier system and to deprive Americans of any profit from his devaluation. What FDR then did was confiscate gold from all institutions ordering them to turn over whatever they had. Ironically, this move was intended to target bankers rather than the public. FDR did not have people knocking on every door demanding all their gold. That is why there are plenty of US gold coins that have survived. If individuals possessed them rather than an institution, then they kept what they owned

Therefore, Roosevelt was able to seize whatever gold existed in banks. He declared all contracts void that had gold provisions for payment. It was in Perry v. United States – 294 U.S. 330 (1935) that the US Supreme Court ruled that Congress, by virtue of its power to deal with gold coin as a medium of exchange, was authorized to prohibit its export and limit its use in foreign exchange. Hence, the restraint thus imposed upon holders of gold coins was incidental to their ownership of it, and gave them no cause of action. id/P. 294 U. S. 356.

The Supreme Court held that it could not say that the exercise of this power by Congress was arbitrary or capricious. id/P. 294 U. S. 356. They held that even if the Government’s repudiation of the gold clause in the government bonds was unconstitutional, it did not entitle the plaintiff to recover more than the loss he has actually suffered, and of which he may rightfully complain. id/P. 294 U. S. 354. Therefore, the Joint Resolution of June 5, 1933, held:

“insofar as it undertakes to nullify such gold clauses in obligations of the United States and provides that such obligations shall be discharged by payment, dollar for dollar, in any coin or currency which at the time of payment is legal tender for public and private debts, is unconstitutional.” id/P. 294 U. S. 349.

Yet, swapping gold for dollars created no loss that was cognizable even though the taking of gold was unconstitutional. Clearly, the Supreme Court did not consider the loss in terms of foreign exchange. The Court reasoned:

“Plaintiff has not attempted to show that, in relation to buying power, he has sustained any loss; on the contrary, in view of the adjustment of the internal economy to the single measure of value as established by the legislation of the Congress, and the universal availability and use throughout the country of the legal tender currency in meeting all engagements, the payment to the plaintiff of the amount which he demands would appear to constitute not a recoupment of loss in any proper sense, but an unjustified enrichment.”

In my understanding of the law, those who argued before the Court made purely a domestic argument. A dollar was still a dollar in domestic terms so there was no cognizable loss and the Court did not reach the constitutional question. Had they argued that their loss was with respect to some debt owed in British pounds, they there was a loss. Purely domestically, the only loss would have been to inflation and the Court would never rule against the government on such an issue.

All of that said, there does not appear to be any historical precedent for the stock market to collapse by 50%, all tangible assets to turn to dust, and only gold will survive given a banking crisis where Biden and Yellen sit on each other’s hands and do nothing. Trust me. Every major Democratic donor will be screaming. And as for those claiming the Fed will reverse its position, say inflation is suddenly no longer a problem, and monetize everything in sight, this is even too big for the Fed. have to create QE and absorb all the debt, there to things have changed. If the Fed does that, it will also lose all credibility. It squarely understands that inflation comes from handing Ukraine a black check to the most corrupt government in the world. The Fed raised rates yesterday for it cannot back down. It is choreographing the best it can but the bankers do not listen.

If they simply stand behind all the deposits, then there will be no panic. That is what they did in 1933 and the market rallied in confidence thereafter.”

All, it can be argued, are “matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples”.

Not only that, it can FORCE the government to LISTEN to any recommendations IT makes to government. This is a two-way street.

It can then choose to not listen and tie up the courts or stymie the legitimate business of government and potentially leverage any urgent action for its political ends.

” I’ve long said that methanol would be a far better choice if the climate cabal were serious, since it can be centrally synthesized and fits into the existing fuel logistical system nearly seamlessly.”

No, (m)ethanol is crap as a transportation fuel.

Better to synthesize propane because:

* (m)ethanol is hydrophilic, and getting rid of water contamination is much more difficult for (m)ethanol than petrol;
* (m)ethanol destroys rubber-based engine seals, hoses etc that petrol and propane do not;
* propane (LPG) is already about half the price of petrol (about 60% in terms of cost/km – you do use a little more) and we have more than we can use in this country (we export plenty);
* we already have anaerobic bacteria that can turn organic waste into propane, so we can even solve our sewerage disposal issues as well as use other organic waste (kitchen and garden waste etc), rather than turn “food” (corn, sugar etc) into (m)ethanol;
* until we become fully “sustainable”, we can use “mined” propane/butane (as at present) while we are “rolling out” the change;
* infrastructure, including vehicle delivery (pumps at service stations), transport, storage etc etc, is already mature, widely available and very, very safe;
* other than the tank and fuel delivery system, no engine mods needed;
* near identical performance with existing petrol engines;
* can be run as “dual fuel” (both petrol and propane tanks/fuel delivery, switch between as desired/required);
* near identical range on propane (more range if dual fuel!) vs about a quarter of the range for the same volume of (m)ethanol (compared to petrol);
* propane never “goes off” – it can sit in the tank unused for years, and still be perfectly fine;
* propane burns cleaner than any liquid fuel, because it is a gas when it burns.

Kneel – methanol is two steps.

2H2O -> 2H2 + O2
3H2 + CO2 -> CH3OH + H2O

The first needs electricity, the second heat over a catalyst. That is all. Easy.
Making propane is harder, therefore more expensive.

Brazil currently uses nearly pure ethanol in cars without much problem. It is hygroscopic like methanol. I already mentioned the engine and fuel system changes – they’re no more difficult than doing the same for propane. An LPG kit is not expensive, nor would a methanol retrofit.

Don’t get me wrong – I see nothing to say we should give up petrol and diesel at all. CAGW ain’t happening, and some extra CO2 in the atmosphere would help agriculture a lot. After we run out of crude oil we can convert coal to crude using standard CTL tech – which is in operation in many places around the world, especially RSA and China.

We can do methanol once we run out of coal. But it’s interesting that German car guys are starting to realize that EVs mean death to their industry, and are now pushing methanol as a fall back option.

The following is something I thought about last year

UK sending Depleted Uranium Ammo to Ukraine – Putin that’s a Nice Aircraft carrier you Have UK & Nice Nuclear Carrier Fleets you Have America

Why Hypersonic Weapons Change Everything – They can sink ALL of the U.S. aircraft carriers, all at once

Authored by Alex Krainer via TrendCompass,

When it comes to all matters military, I have been following a handful of analysts among whom Croatian Admiral Davorin Domazet (retired) emerged as perhaps my favorite. He has deep and detailed command of technical matters (like Andreiy Martyanov he insists that you can’t prevail in modern warfare without deep knowledge of of advanced mathematics and probability). More importantly, he has perhaps the clearest understanding of the broad historical context of today’s clash between Russia and the western powers.

Unfortunately, Admiral Domazet does not give many interviews and none in English, but I thought that his last one was important enough to share more broadly in this article.

If you happen to speak Croatian/Serbian languages, you can find the interview, published on 17 March 2023 at this link. It runs over 2 hours.

The context is everything

Domazet is the only military analyst that I know of, who takes into account the history of western financial oligarchy, their Venetian roots, migration to Amsterdam where they formed the Dutch Empire, and subsequent move to London which, to this day remains the ideological and spiritual headquarters of the undead British Empire.

He has correctly labelled humanity’s enemy as the “western occult oligarchy,” and has even called the war in Ukraine as the clash between Christ and anti-Christ, underlining that the anti-Christ is in the west. Mind you Croatia is a NATO member state and is, like Poland, a catholic Slavic nation, sharing even some of its cultural Russophobia (though it may not be quite as rabid in Croatia as it is in Poland).

About Russia’s hypersonic weapons

However, the part of Domazet’s last interview that I found particularly worth sharing was what he laid out about Russia’s hypersonic weapons.

It was in 2018 that Vladimir Putin took the stage to present Russia’s new hypersonic weapons. The term “hypersonic” refers to missiles that fly at speeds of 5 mach and higher. At the time, many in the west dismissed Putin’s claims and thought it was a bluff. We now know that he wasn’t bluffing. Russia is the only country in the world that has deployment-ready hypersonic missiles – not one but three types: Zircons, Kinzhals and Avantguards.

Domazet explained why these weapons are radical game changers in warfare. Namely, in World War 1, tanks were the game changing military technology; since World War 2, it’s been the air-force. Aircraft carrier strike groups have been an irresistible force wherever they travelled, dominating the seas ever since. But hypersonic precision missiles have rendered that force obsolete overnight.

The main military front in today’s global conflict, according to Domazet, are the Anti-Ballistic (ABM) batteries which the US has set up on the Poland-Romania axis, and the Russians on the North Pole-Kaliningrad-Crimea-Syria axis. These are defensive systems, conceived to intercept incoming nuclear missiles. However, today’s ABM systems are only effective against missiles flying at speeds up to mach 3.5 (3.5 x the speed of sound).

The Kinzhal turns mighty aircraft carrier strike groups into sitting ducks

Russia’s new Kinzhal missile flies at speeds of mach 12 to mach 15 and nothing in western defensive arsenals can stop its strike. During the war in Ukraine, Russia a stunning demonstration of its power.

The first Kinzhal strike, delivered one month after the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, was perhaps the most significant: Russian forces targeted a large weapons depot in Ukraine which had been built to withstand a nuclear strike. It was buried 170 meters (over 500 ft) underground and protected by several layers of armored concrete.

The Kinzhal flies at altitudes of between 20 and 40 km, with a maximum range of 2,000 km. When above target, it dives perpendicularly and accelerates to 15 mach, gathering enormous kinetic energy in addition to its explosive payload.

That first strike with a single Kinzhal missile destroyed Ukraine’s nuke-proof underground weapons depot. This was a message for the west.

Moscow calling: we can sink ALL your carriers

The Kinzhal was developed with the express purpose of destroying aircraft carrier strike groups. If it could destroy a warehouse built to withstand a nuclear strike, it can cut through an aircraft carrier like a hot knife through butter.

According to Admiral Domazet, neither the western powers nor China are anywhere near having weapons like that. He explained that the critical issue with hypersonic weapons are the extreme temperatures reached during hypersonic flights on the surface of missiles, which can cause the missiles to break apart mid-flight. Russia is the only nation that has developed special materials that enable the missiles to withstand this stress, so their flight can be controlled throughout its trajectory and delivered with pinpoint accuracy.

Western intelligence estimated that Russia had some 50 Kinzhals at the start of the war in Ukraine, and thus far it has used only 9 of them. Last week, they fired six Kinzhals in a single salvo. That too, was a message.

Here’s how Domazet explained it:

United States have 11 aircraft carrier strike groups. Of these, fewer than half will be active at any one time (while others are in dock for maintenance, or in preparation).

Firing six Kinzhals in one go is military-speak for, “we have the capability to sink ALL of your aircraft carriers in at once.”

Russia will run out of ammunitions any minute now, (experts say)…

Russia has the capacity to build about 200 of them per year and now has means of delivering them anywhere from aircraft, ships and submarines. In addition to destroying aircraft carriers, they can destroy NATOs ABM missile sites also.

In a nutshell, Russia has – for now – won the arms race.

It could take the western powers 10 years or longer to catch up and until then, the only way to avoid losing the war is to either concede defeat and accept Russia’s security demands, or to escalate the conflict to nuclear exchange.

A conservative estimate suggests that at least a billion people would perish in such a conflict and nobody would win. Who would do such a thing? The idea of using nuclear weapons is, in fact, so repugnant that we can be assured that our leaders will never chose the path of escalation.

Surely, nobody’s that evil, are they?

Dunno if anyone else has linked to this, John Campbells review of a study into excess deaths is a ripper. The paper is a preprint but seems pretty good. Either it will be ignored by the medical establishment in the hope it will never be read, or if there’s the slightest error no matter how small it will be magnified to massive proportions so as to make the paper second rate and untrustworthy.

Slowly but surely the wall of covid breaks, it will eventually fail, but those who pushed the vaxxes and ignored the evidence will eventually be exposed. The best we can hope for is a Royal Commission with wide terms of reference, but better would be a Nuremburg style inquiry and trial.

Detransitioned Teen Girl Sues Kaiser Permanente Over Gender Transition Gone Wrong

BY TYLER DURDEN
THURSDAY, MAR 23, 2023 – 12:40 PM

A detransitioned teen is suing Kaiser Permanente hospital because doctors removed her breasts during her transgender procedure.

Layla Jane is an 18-year-old woman who began to identify as transgender at age 11. Jane, at the time, wanted to transition to a male. Initially, doctors at Kaiser denied her any transition hormones, saying she could take them after turning 16. However, doctors changed their minds, approved her request, and performed a double mastectomy when she was 13.

Jane wrote on Twitter, “Mind boggling to me that a doctor signed off on a double mastectomy for me before I took a sex ed course. I barely started 8th grade, I was 13.”

In the letter of intent to sue (pdf), her attorneys at LiMandri and Jonna LLP accused the doctors of approving the breast-removal surgery “without performing an adequate evaluation and treatment of Layla’s extensive mental health co-morbidities.”

According to the letter, Jane suffers from anxiety, depression, pubertal struggles, body dysmorphia, and serious self-image concerns.

“These doctors also pushed Layla and her parents down this transition path engaging in intentional, malicious, and oppressive concealment of important information and false representations,” the letter states.

The lawsuit demands unspecified amounts of pay for damages related to her health issues during her transition period from ages 12 to 17. The case listed Jane as suffering from permanent, irreversible mutilation, an induced state of endocrine disease, an increased risk of being infertile, and the fact that she would never be able to breastfeed a child.

During an appearance on Fox News with her attorney, Harmeet Dhillon, Jane said, “I don’t think I’m better off for the experience, and I think transition just completely added fuel to the fire that was my pre-existing conditions.”

In a statement to DailyMail, Kaiser said that its doctors “practice compassionate, evidence-based medicine founded on sound research and best medical practices.”

“When adolescent patients, with parental support, seek gender-affirming care, the patient’s care team carefully evaluates their treatment options,” Kaiser spokesman Marc Brown said. “The care decisions always rest with the patient and their parents, and, in every case, we respect the patients and their families’ informed decisions about their personal health.”

The Epoch Times reached out to Kaiser for comment.

Surely, nobody’s that evil, are they?

OldOzzie, in the modern world, evil is cloaked in good intentions.

For example, those who say they want to advance Aboriginal well-being simply end up being enablers of vast government bureaucracies that make ZERO difference to Aboriginal disadvantage, life expectancy or happiness.

The ONLY reason government bureaucracies unmoored from any idea of key performance indicators exist is to get bigger, not to produce results.

Thankfully, most Australians who have to make a living without the obstruction of government will vote NO to the farcical Voice referendum because it will make zero difference to the life experience of Aborigines and is an invention of politicians and bureaucrats purely for their own benefit.

I’d argue that “most Australians” are actually unaware of what this Screech thing entails. Probably about 30% of eligible voters have educated themselves. That leaves 70% who have been brainwashed (by everything) to go for the feelz and have no idea of the danger voting “yes” will be to the country and more probably, to themselves.

thefrollickingmole,

in reply to ABC – The Inbred Innner City Hippy Retarded Person Reteat in Ultimo – On the Australian Taxpayers Teat for doing no visible work

Clive Palmer: I paid $19.5m Medicare levy for no bed

Billionaire Clive Palmer says he paid about $460 million in corporate and personal tax last year after pocketing hefty dividends fuelled by royalty payments from Chinese conglomerate CITIC Limited.

Mr Palmer said on Wednesday that his Medicare levy contribution alone was about $19.5 million, and it was ironic that no bed was available on the one occasion when he required treatment at a public hospital.

If the Medicare levy claim is accurate, it indicates Mr Palmer’s taxable income nudged $1 billion.

Accounts filed by Mr Palmer’s private company Mineralogy show Mr Palmer has continued to pull money out of Mineralogy via dividends this financial year, with payments of $US33 million ($49.3 million) and almost $35 million on August 30 and $US20 million ($29.9 million) two days later.

It paid out an interim dividend of $400 million in February 2022 and another of $200 million in May last year.

This was on top of $100 million pocketed by Mr Palmer in October 2021.

Mr Palmer told The Australian Financial Review that Mineralogy was now reaping between $500 million to $600 million a year in royalties from CITIC, which ships magnetite for steel making to China from mining operations that sit on tenements controlled by Mineralogy in Western Australia’s north-west.

Mineralogy recorded a net profit after tax of $276.7 million in 2021-22, up by about $63 million on the previous year. The improved result included the $US145 million ($216 million) sale of the Balmoral iron ore deposit to CITIC, which – based on a recent court ruling – faces the prospect of having to make another big payment to Mineralogy if it wants to continue its magnetite operations.

Asked why his flagship company had made so many dividend payments in the past 18 months, Mr Palmer said he was “investing in the ultimate prize called happiness”.

“I’ve paid everybody I had to, and I don’t think the taxman is worried. I think he is pretty happy,” he said.

Mr Palmer was taken to hospital on at least two occasions last year, once with COVID-19 symptoms and a second time when he fell off a stage at his Coolum Resort in Queensland during a rehearsal for the United Australia Party election campaign launch.

He said that in a separate incident he had been taken to a public hospital on the Gold Coast with stomach pains and stayed in the casualty ward for observation because there was no bed available.

“The irony is it doesn’t matter how much you pay in the Medicare levy, it doesn’t guarantee you a bed,” said Mr Palmer, who has private health insurance and therefore doesn’t have to pay a surcharge on top of the levy.

Mr Palmer twisted the knife into his arch-enemy, WA premier Mark McGowan, over the scandal-plagued Perth Mint, saying he had lost faith in the WA-taxpayer owned institution as a reliable means to store wealth.

“At one stage I had $200 million of gold in there, but I sold it all. My wife sold all her gold and silver back to the mint as well,” he said.

“There are some real questions to be answered about the Perth Mint.”

Mr McGowan, who has fought defamation and other legal battles with Mr Palmer, was the minister responsible for the mint until April 2021 and is facing calls for a royal commission into its operations and governance.

WA opposition leader Shane Love wrote to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Wednesday to push the case for a royal commission.

In his letter, Mr Love said the integrity of Perth Mint gold was being questioned at a national and international level in the wake of a gold doping incident and scandals.

Canberra Health Services staff have been caught sending confidential information about mental health patients to the Australian Nursing Midwifery Federation, a union:

Mental Health Minister Emma Davidson has named the ACT’s Australian Nursing Midwifery Federation (ANMF) branch as the recipient of private patient documents sent by Canberra Health Services (CHS) staff, in an alleged breach of privacy laws.
Key points:

It was revealed this week that the private records of 13 mental health patients had been sent to an external industrial partner
That partner has been revealed as the Australian Nursing Midwifery Federation ACT branch
ACT Mental Health Minister Emma Davidson says she has been contacted by the union’s lawyer and an investigation is continuing

CHS revealed earlier this week that staff had ‘deliberately’ sent the clinical records of 13 mental health patients to an “industrial partner”, but refused to name it until today.

The records of 13 patients were sent to the branch over a period of years, in what CHS chief executive Dave Peffer called a “serious breach”.

Yesterday, he confirmed that one Canberra Health Services staff member had been sacked over the incident and two others stood down, pending an investigation.

The immediate question that arises in my mind is: why?

None of the possible answers are reassuring. Possible blackmail, intimidation, or just prurient curiosity are some of the options.

It is a gross breach of ethics, and puts that union under a very dark cloud.

I hope they get sued into oblivion.

A bit hot and lethargic otherwise OK.

Yes. Hairy had a two-day Covid around two weeks ago. Strongly positive, negative on day four.
Same as before for him. Big sneezes and nasal inflammation and Mr. Cranky due to that. I felt very tired for one day only, didn’t test positive on that day and was still negative when I retested three days later feeling completely well. Think I had a subclinical dose, must have been very exposed sleeping next to Mr. Snoring Snuffles. No idea where it came from; maybe the supermarket.

Yes. Yes it is.

Take one Woodstock can, 440ml. Skoll said can.
Wait 30 seconds for the syrupy postmix to curdle all the replicating metals in your bloodstream.
Get the sweats up.
Chunder like fury for four minutes, expelling all impurities.

Take one single sip of icy Carlton Draught, through the ice and onto the ice.
Cured.

The Americans had broken the Japanese diplomatic code, and knew war was imminent, but they believed the Japanese would attack the Philippines, and Malaya, but not Pearl Harbor.

The Japanese Codes were no secret to the Americans, they first broke them in the 1920s.
See:
Herbert O. Yardley.
However, Yardley was laid off in 1940, but the Navy clearly knew that Pearl Harbor was the target, since they sent the 4 Carrier Groups out of Pearl in 4 different directions on November 26/
If that was a coincidence, we woulda heard about it, since not losing those Carriers at Anchor was the difference between winning the War and losing it.
Yardley also wrote a terrific book, Education of a Poker player
about his boyhood in a Hotel and his later life as a Codebreaker for the Kuomintang.

On 28 November 1941, Admiral Husband E. Kimmel sent TF-8, consisting of Enterprise, the heavy cruisers Northampton(CA-26), Chester (CA-27), and Salt Lake City (CA-24) and nine destroyers under Vice Admiral William F. Halsey, Jr., to ferry 12 Grumman F4F-3 Wildcats of Marine Fighting Squadron (VMF) 211 to Wake Island. Upon completion of the mission on 4 December, TF-8 set course to return to Pearl Harbor. Dawn on 7 December 1941 found TF-8 about 215 miles west of Oahu.
Lexington: On 5 December 1941, TF-12, formed around Lexington, under the command of Rear Admiral John H. Newton, sailed from Pearl to ferry 18 Vought SB2U-3 Vindicators of Marine Scout Bombing Squadron 231 to Midway Island. Dawn on 7 December 1941 found Lexington, heavy cruisers Chicago (CA-29), Portland (CA-33), and Astoria (CA-34), and five destroyers about 500 miles southeast of Midway. The outbreak of hostilities resulted in cancellation of the mission and VMSB-231 was retained on board [they would ultimately fly to Midway from Hickam Field on 21 December].

Saratoga: The Saratoga, having recently completed an overhaul at the Puget Sound Navy Yard, Bremerton, Washington, reached NAS San Diego [North Island] late in the forenoon watch on 7 December. She was to embark her air group, as well as Marine Fighting Squadron (VMF) 221 and a cargo of miscellaneous airplanes to ferry to Pearl Harbor.

Yorktown (CV-5), Ranger (CV-4) and Wasp (CV-7), along with the aircraft escort vessel Long Island (AVG-1), were in the Atlantic Fleet; Hornet (CV-8), commissioned in late October 1941, had yet to carry out her shakedown. Yorktown would be the first Atlantic Fleet carrier to be transferred to the Pacific, sailing on 16 December 1941.

Passing Observations 150
21ST MARCH 2023

1. The International Criminal Court has made Putin an alleged criminal (based on very secret hush hush evidence). This is another clear sign that the US, EU and UK are not looking for peace in Ukraine. (We already knew that, of course, because the incredibly nasty, grinning Sunak said so.) What the allegation means is that Putin can’t attend peace talks anywhere outside Russia. For peace talks to be held, Biden and his glove puppet Zelensky would have to go to Moscow. Fat chance. (America never signed up to the war crimes tribunal, of course, to protect a series of war criminals.) Xi will be in Moscow this week to broker peace talks but Zelensky won’t agree to peace because NATO and the globalists want a big, long-lasting war to destroy the world economy.

8. Gas, wood and now nuclear power have all been declared acceptable by the climate change nutters. They didn’t used to like them but they do now. Oil will be next to receive the seal of approval. And British greens, climate nutters and electric car owners must come to terms with the fact that some of the electricity they used in the winter of 2022/3 was derived from coal. Oh dear. (By the way, did you know that a bunch of Democratic lawmakers in the US – the ones promoting the Green Deal Garbage – have millions invested in fossil fuel companies? Check it out. They presumably realise the truth that the world cannot cope without fossil fuels.)

11. Too many of the scribblers on social media are the same sorry souls as the ones who used to write or draw on walls… they especially enjoyed working in public lavatories. I suspect that in terms of literacy and veracity, their work lies between that produced by the BBC and the Daily Mail

13. I find it very sad that doctors and nurses only go on strike for money. They never go on strike for improvements to the care of patients. How many have gone on strike because of the way the elderly are treated or in protest about the use of a fake vaccine for a fake pandemic? Approximately none.

17. Anyone who describes me as a conspiracy theorist is a liar. You can’t be a conspiracy theorist if all you do is tell the truth. Worse still is the abuse I get from people I’ve tried to help over the last three years. My wife and I have worked ceaselessly (not tirelessly because we are exhausted) to bring truths and predictions and assessments about the conspiracies which have unfolded since the beginning of 2020. Our income has been devastated. My reputation is gone for ever. No one in the world can be more banned than I am. I’ve had serious death threats and one serious attempt on my life has been made. Publishers around the world have stopped publishing my bestselling books – not for commercial reasons but as punishment. And we’ve been banned from obtaining essentials such as medicines because I am considered a dangerous, discredited conspiracy theorist. And I no longer look at anything online because of the abuse the trolls spread. Now, we are approaching the endgame. The snitches, the whingers, the sneerers, the bullies and so on are soon going to realise that the warnings were real and they have no future. We’re all totally stuffed. Only those who have made some preparations for surviving the Great Reset stand a chance. Please read my book They want your money and your life which is available through the bookshop on this website.
