Thorpe says she was afraid to walk out of the door of her office, and would open the door slightly and “check the coast was clear before stepping out”.

She is like AOC.

Convinced people who talk about her are just frustrated that she won’t date them, and imagining rampaging maniacs outside her door waiting to attack her.

What’s this about the Lib Senator being removed from the party room? Is this a “cunning plan” from the Libs? A “holier than thou” moment from Dutton et al – a “look at us, we’ve done the right thing so how about you do the same with Gallagher” moment, Luigi?

The Gallagher “affair” is about misleading the parliament and if the SFLs can’t get her on that then they should give it up altogether and get other jobs.

Innocent until proven otherwise again trashed. And the SFLs, again, have a “woman problem”.

Dutton is a first class fool for buying into the lies. Like his predecessor.

I often wonder how women are able to make men jump through hoops and debase themselves…it’s something that leaves me cold. Clearly some chicks get their kicks from it.

Why do Gliberals do this?

It’s a political calculation.

Political pragmatics (“optics”) triumphs over principle yet again.

To gain Liberal pre-selection one has to have one’s spine removed.

Frighteningly Dutton probably thinks that.

Of course, now Labor will just say they were right all along because every Liberal politician is a rapist and so it is their solemn duty to accuse everybody associated with the party of said crimes.

I can’t describe just how stupid and evil this decision is. I honestly doubt the Liberal party can survive it. No man will ever want to join that party now.

“Since the airing of Senator Thorpe’s allegation yesterday, further allegations in relation to Senator Van have been brought to my attention overnight and this morning,”

Oh, Peter. Why not make the point that they are just allegations. Untested allegations. We cannot say Van has done any wrong until it has been proven. And if they won’t back it up, Van is the one being wronged.

The steady unravelling of Brittnah’s story and its being increasingly shown to have been a political con should give you a little courage.

A couple of obsrvations on my recent trip on the Newell:

The Gore Highway – Toowoomba to Gundy – is a goat track. Victorian roads I travelled on are second rate: there was a bridge on the Mjurray Valley “Highway” limited to 23 tonnes and so narrow only one vehicle at a time went over it. NSW roads are wide, smooth, and in good weather conditions, which I thankfully had, are superb and drive to the speed limit. There are a fair amount of roadworks around Moree, presumably flood repairs. Every little depression is signposted. In Qld, on the Cunningham Highway, there is a sign “80 k’s rough roads”. There was, and that was the extent of the signage.
Landholders on the Moree Plains seem not to think too much of the proposed railway line going across the flood plain.

It’s hard not to think that goods could be moved more efficiently by rail rather than in ginormous truck and two dog road trains. But, if it weren’t for the trucks, no doubt the roads would not be maintained as well as they are in NSW.

I saw some sort of solar power factory north of West Wyalong, with transmission lines going over the paddocks. There’s an enormous solar power plantation just north of Warwick; it would be less offensine south of the town in the scrubby land there, rather than in the once was productive land where it is.

I asked around for knowledge of VNI in Vic, to mixed results, either never heard of it, had heard of it but knew it was now going north before it hit them, to absolute suspicion of no consultation government action. If there are speakers available and speaking to Probus is considered worthwhile, two of the friends I caught up with are involved with organising speakers for their Probus groups.

I took the dog, which involved regular stops at local parks while I had a cup of tea and the dog got a break from the car. I had no idea there were so many whippet admirers. I had so many chats with people who would come up to me and say “oh, what a lovely dog!”

I have done this trip a number of times, in the heat and drought, or having to get through water south of Forbes or worse, detour. This time, particularly the trip back, the country looks great and the views were spectacular. Easy to see what drives the grey nomads.

It really strain gullibility to believe Thorpe was a victim. Belligerent and bellicose, opportunistic, destitute of any human refinement, firing off accusations against people like a howitzer and claiming again and again to be a victim in a voice that makes anyone in earshot freeze in terror.

We have seen quite recently what sort of a victim she is – when she swooped like an infernal demon upon women at a legal rally denouncing the intrusion of very confused (or malign) men in traditional women’s only spaces. Now, Lidia had not really been at the forefront of the tranny agenda – her area of activity was indigenous issues. So even on an issue which is secondary to her she still has allocated enough bile and venom to attack people and without restraint.

We saw the footage. We saw her charge in and abuse people, telling them that they had no right to be on that land, and when the police tried to pull her away (as much to her benefit than anyone’s because her unhinged fury given full rein might easily have led to a charge of assault) she thrashed about and stumbled in the muck. The she recounts the story as her having been attacked and the police beating her up.

No wonder she needs to go to Labor. Brittnah got a pay out for allegations that were played for full effect in the media. Lidia can make the same offer. All she need do is decide what price she will charge Labor.

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/video/2023/jun/15/lidia-thorpe-says-she-was-followed-inappropriately-touched-in-parliament-stairwell-video

Addressing the Senate a day after withdrawing allegations accusing Senate colleague David Van of harassment and sexual assault – a claim he vehemently denied – Lidia Thorpe says she was inappropriately touched while in a stairwell in Canberra’s Parliament House. The independent senator says she was ‘inappropriately propositioned by powerful men’ and ‘cornered’ in a stairwell, and that ‘most of this was witnessed by … staff and fellow members of parliament’.

‘No one witnessed what happened in the stairwell as there were no cameras in stairwells,’ Thorpe said. ‘There are different understandings of what amounts to sexual assault, what I experienced was being followed, aggressively propositioned and inappropriately touched.’ Thorpe said she did not make the incident public ‘because it was during the time Brittney Higgins had made her experience in this building public … but then yesterday I had to listen to a senator who has made me feel unsafe speak on how important it is to keep women safe in parliament’

Here she is in happier times.

teachers raised concerns about Hunter Valley bus driver it’s SMH and paywalled

It relates to a complaint from a private Christian school that the bus driver involved in the multiple fatal on Sunday was driving erratically and not paying attention whilst driving for a school excursion last Thursday and Friday.
I think it implies a bit of “show off” behaviour.

The fundamental solution lies in the establishment of an independent state of Palestine that enjoys a much larger border than that with Gaza, so more rockets and other belligerent attacks can be launched. It should be the West Bank, which was originally part of Israel but was taken by force by Jordan after the state of Israel was declared and endorsed by the UN.
Israel took it back in 1967, but all the nay sayers prefer to forget the history.

The correct protocol is to demand Thorpe to name all of those she accused and the witnesses and sue her if she refuses to do so – she has once again implied Van and abused Parliamentary privilege in a direct manner, not a tangential way.

If she can’t pay up, she can’t sit in the Senate. She represents no one and is a dead-set lunatic.

Perhaps in the real world, but this is a workplace under the scrutiny of workplace relations, Equal Opportunity Commission and who knows who else, plus the Canberra media pack. In the same situation I would do exactly what Dutton has done. The Albanese government is getting stressed and pulling in favors. Dutton needs to keep it tight and follow procedure to the line. If he doesn’t they will go for him like a flock of seagulls after a soggy chip.

On Palestine, about five years ago (or thereabouts) I met Bibi’s Ambassador. I forget her name but she had the most interesting stories about the Palestinians and how they can’t stand Hezballups terrorists, and that the ongoing bombing of Israel and digging of shitty tunnels was actually turning people off.

“They just want to live” was the remark that I recall.

Sounds like softening up for a Taiwan invasion. Xi has stuck his toe in the Ukraine war, with a “peace offer” and now is doing the same with the Palis. Neither is credible nor with the remotest chance of success. But it regularizes the divine right of China to Taiwan through the “legitimate grievances” wheeze, which is why he’s doing it I think.

What you are saying is that fathers couldn’t stay home and raise kids.

Dutton is following process and removing Van whilst the matter of the further accusations is addressed. A wise move given the left’s trickery. He has not “condemned” Van, far from it from my reading of the above statement. He is an ex-policeman and understands the value of following protocol.

Take this a step further.

Blindingly obvious that Labor has set Thorpe up to this – and engineered a flood of sexual harassment complaints against Van.

Unfortunately Van has a shadow following him. Woofing at Lambie, and whatever prompted him to move office to shut Thorpe up – both are going to be ginned up to ‘literally violent sexual assault’ status by Team Strong Labor Women and an enthusiastic media (it’s already happening in the media).

With this playing at 11 on high rotation, Dutton is never going to achieve any cut through in Parliament. Despite the growing pile of smoking guns, Team Albanese just has to play the “I’m not answering questions from a Party That Harbours Rapists” card, and the whole Brinny imbroglio will fade into the resulting shitstorm.

I really don’t think Dutton has any response option other than to can Van and call for police investigation and proper judicial process into any and all claims.

If they are real. Thorpe has already scuttled under a log on this – complainants without the benefit of parliamentary privilege can work out how brave they feel.

Staff reduction backlash

An excerpt from this article in The Catholic Weekly by Marilyn Rodrigues

Meanwhile ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith has faced a backlash over the government’s projected 15 per cent loss of staff at Calvary Hospital through the compulsory acquisition set for 3 July.

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation shared deep concern over the pressure that the takeover will add to an existing crisis, The Canberra Times reported.

“Staffing levels are so thin that even the loss of one nurse or midwife has real implications for a ward or clinical unit and that will increase the pressure on already existing staff shortage levels which are widespread,” said ANMF ACT branch secretary Matthew Daniel on 14 June.

“If we lose a single member of staff it could have real implications for some services.”

About 270 people out of 1800 Calvary staff are expected to not have transferred their employment over to Canberra Health Services by 3 July.

Ms Stephen-Smith said that recruiting and retraining midwives and nurses was a problem around the country, and that 15 per cent of Calvary’s workforce was a small portion of the territory’s total public health workforce.

She also indicated that religious symbols and iconography will be stripped from the hospital after the compulsory acquisition is finalised on 3 July.

Religious fixtures at the embattled hospital include a chapel, and at the entrance a large blue cross and stone statue of Mary and an infant Jesus.

“Iconography and its retention or removal is really a matter for Calvary at this point,” Ms Stephen-Smith said.

“Probably Calvary will choose to remove a lot of that iconography and if it is a public hospital it’s unlikely that we will have crosses above the door.”

She said a draft transition plan offered to Calvary is yet to be finalised.

Calvary has not indicated whether it will appeal the Supreme Court dismissal of its legal challenge to the ACT government’s takeover legislation but time is running out for such an option.

Fr Percy said that not knowing the reasons for the court judgement was “a real problem” as, without them, there is no right to appeal the decision.

“We have to acknowledge their decision but we’d like to see the reasons for their decision, that’s a perfectly reasonable request I would think,” he told 2GB radio on 13 June.

Yes and because Labor are vulnerable on the Higgins payout, if Dutton puts a foot wrong following protocol it will be fired back at him. The thing is though, Ms. Lydia has previously fouled her reputation with public ( strip club abuses, bikie connections, uncivilised behavior etc) so the more this is touted as a gross misjustice the more people will laugh behind her back and Labor’s too. Plus if you suspect this is a load of cobblers then the more the whole “believe all women’s” movement is besmirched. Hi Megan! I sometimes see yellow-tailed black cockatoos – there had been a family which nested in the bush km away from me, but they’ve been pushed further away because their nesting ground is now four hundred houses.

The red-tailed black cockatoo are another type of black cocky. I don’t have any around here, but I think their range extends further south than the map at the wiki suggests.

They’re the two that I’ve seen. Other types are rarer.

The only black cocky I’ve ever been near is one who was on the shoulder of a lady at the local shopping centre. Seen them twice. They would just wander around doing shopping. The cocky was a red-tail and certainly bred by the lady. It was a fine sight!

The black cockies are even bigger than sulfur-crested cockies, so I have no idea what small black parrots would be. I have never seen a small black parrot in the wild. I’ve had natural mutant rainbow lorikeets though – they are an olive-brown colour.

Amanda Stoker now sports a deeply unserious hair style

Not much you can do when fashion turns against you. As I told my agent.

Amanda Stoker claims she was harassed by Van
Geoff Chambers

Former Liberal National Party senator Amanda Stoker has accused Senator David Van of allegedly touching her bottom twice at a 2020 drinks event in a parliamentary office, sparking Peter Dutton’s decision to expel the Victorian backbencher from his party room.

In a statement released on Thursday night, Ms Stoker alleged that Senator Van “inappropriately touched me at an informal social gathering”.

“He did so by squeezing my bottom twice. By its nature and by its repetition, it was not accidental. That action was not appropriate. It was unprofessional and uninvited,” Ms Stoker said.

“I raised the matter with Senator Van at a meeting the following day. I described the action, told him it was unacceptable, and that it was not to be repeated. He apologised and said he would never do it again. I accepted his apology and his undertaking.”

Mme Zulu advises that etiquette in her day, was any bottom pinchers got a slap across the face.

Why do men keep getting touchy with women?
It’s genetic.

No doubt this is not the last incident that will come out. Why do Liberal politicians (and staffers) keep committing sexual assault?

I’m not going to defend the libs dickless who have almost as little dick as you have but as for sex attacks and crap no one does it better than the liars:

1 Tits
2 rib and tug
3 Women in a closed social media group of 1,300 current and former Labor staffers say men in the party must be ‘held to account’ for their actions

Well, what can I say – an hour really is a long time in the stinking cesspit is that ozzie politics. In the time it’s taken me to get home from work and do a workout, that stupid useless bimbo Stoker has dumped on Van the Man, thus gifting some semblance of legitimacy to the unrelenting barking insanity of Hydia Thorpey.

If that neobrutalist windbag sh*tshop is as full of uncontrollable gropy sexual harassers as various imbeciles have been screeching incessantly for the last few years, then every single stinking politician in Scamberra must now be subject to 24/7 video surveillance.

There is no other solution.

BTW, great effort Giuseppe Prosciutto! The Victoriastanian Gliberals’ primary vote has now plummeted to 26%.

Magnificent stuff, you tin eared tone deaf utterly clueless moron.

So apparently Amanda Stoker has now made claims against Van.

Was she jilted by the Liberals?

I’m betting Labor knew of these allegations and got Thorpe to make false claims. Labor finding even lower bottom of barrels than ever before.

I think you’ve got it in one, Beery.

Lidia is not going anywhere, she is having the time of her life.

Hard boiled as they come. Un-shameable.

Again in the Qantas lounge and had the “pleasure” of sitting next to a couple of young government apparatchiks discussing some meeting or other. It was a river of unintelligible dribble, made louder by consumption of energising beverages. All about “navigating” and doing something “around the margins” and other Swahili bugmantalk with much finger pointing and motormouthing.

What a way to live.

The mailman’s camels have just delivered Robert Harris’s book “Selling Hitler – the Faking of the Hitler Diaries.” The evening will feature the new book, a log fire, comfortable chair, and a decanter of good single malt.

His previous novel .. V2 .. is a sight better than some of his earlier military fiction , worth a read ……

It’s November 1944–Willi Graf, a German rocket engineer, is launching Nazi Germany’s V2 rockets at London from Occupied Holland. Kay Connolly, once an actress, now a young English Intelligence officer, ships out for Belgium to locate the launch sites and neutralize the threat. But when rumors of a defector circulate through the German ranks, Graf becomes a suspect. Unknown to each other, Graf and Connolly find themselves on opposite sides of the hunt for the saboteur.

Their twin stories play out against the background of the German missile campaign, one of the most epic and modern but least explored episodes of the Second World War. Their destinies are on a collision course.

“On Palestine, about five years ago (or thereabouts) I met Bibi’s Ambassador. I forget her name but she had the most interesting stories about the Palestinians and how they can’t stand Hezballups terrorists, and that the ongoing bombing of Israel and digging of shitty tunnels was actually turning people off.”

Hmm, nup. You should watch Corey Gil-Shuster’s youtube videos. Gil-Shuster is an American Israeli, a professed “progressive” and “peacenik”…although he’s been somewhat bludgeoned by reality…and that reality isn’t pretty. He goes into cities like Ramallah and Nablus and asks ordinary Palestinians questions (he has an Arabic translator), such as “Does Israel have a right to exist”. More than a few of these videos are chilling, 97% of them don’t believe Israel has a right to exist, 97% of them think the Jews should be “expelled”….in other words “sent back to where they came from”. Golda Meir said it best about the Palestinians….

“Peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us.”

“Former Lib Senator Amanda Stoker just released a statement detailing a sexual assault by David Van in November 2020. Couple of bum pinches.”

Firstly, pervert apologist, bum pinches aren’t sexual assault and can be easily dealt with by a good smack on the face.

Secondly, pervert apologist, you need shut your mouth, you happily support, as you’ve said on these pages, the bashing and assaulting of women whose opinions you don’t like.

I thought Amanda Stoker was useless too, but she’s made up for it by naming Handsy Van.
I’d say he’ll resign shortly before the real ordure hits the cooling device.
Still, if Ed was a Groper, he’d grope Thorpey before he’d grope, say, Sarah Henderson …

Surprisingly they failed to mention that OAPs have to get by on slightly over that amount a fortnight ..!

“Peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us.”

I’d add the great Israeli statesman, Abba Eban’s comment “The Palestinians have never lost an opportunity to lose an opportunity.” Their wartime leader, the Grand Mufti of Jeruselum, visiting war time Berlin, given a guided tour of an extermination camp, and receiving a guarantee from Hister that, in the event of Nazi victory, “The Jews of Palestine will be yours.” was probably an extreme case.

Tom,
Just chiming in briefly…

Murdoch provides day time media for those at home during the day (Leftards) and the Right for “after dark” (those who work hard, pay taxes, are forced at work to be welcomed to country etc…). I thought he was a capitalist as you want to provide appealing content to viewers who are watching at certain times of the day…

But since Tucker was fired I’m not so sure anymore.

On Sharri, she’s useless. Which is why she’s been given the Sky “twilight” a lot. Cos nobody is really paying any attention.

Just saw an ad on the teev for an audiobooks company.

The two headline ‘best sellers’ they advertised were – wait for it – Michelle Obummer’s memoirs and Ranga Harry’s self-pitying weepie, Spare!

Obviously a cut-and-paste ad from the US with overdubbed local vocals. Very common these days. I mean, how many African/white mixed race people are there in Australia? Yet, they pop up everywhere in ads.

Anyway, what marketing genius imagined that heaps of Australian punters would be queueing up to buy Michelle and Harry’s self-serving pap?

I predict sales in the low three figures. Not going to cover the booking fee and overdub costs for the ad.

Oh, and thanks all for the analysis of the latest Lidia tantie. Orders of magnitude better than anything we will ever see in the MSM.
