Leave them on the window sill for a couple of weeks.
If challenged, repeat the dismissals trotted out by the Left when Fraser Anning copped it.

Oh, and aim at the vegans.”

Ahhhh yes, and remember when Morrison copped an egg too?

Even a stinking rotten egg can’t match the stink that reeks from the hypocritical left.

There are some suggesting Newton was gay. Impossible to resolve now but his romantic letters to a mathematician, and his deathbed confession that he had never “known” a woman,

Our age’s obsession with sex makes his priapic proclivities central to his historical significance. I also remember reading that he was an intently studied Christian – certainly beyond the social niceties of the age, which would make fudge-packing less than consistent. But who knows for certain?

His sexuality is a footnote, of very little interest to most people. He was an Arian(in his day a heresy) but religion does not determine sexuality.

I’d never heard of Peta Murphy. Her electorate is one that the Liberals should target, there will be a by-election and the Liberals can and…will win it.

It’s a marginal electorate that has long leaned and voted Liberal, and was Liberal from 1996 through to 2019.

The federal government’s DITRDCA department issued an alert on Monday for 1,659 variants of the Great Wall Motors (GWM) Ora model sold across Australia.

The recall notice identified a “programming issue” in the affected cars, said to be occurring when the operator removes the charging cable without cancelling the charge.

In this instance, an electrical arc is created between the charging plug and vehicle, which can then turn hazardous for anyone in close proximity to the car.

Didn’t Jane Caro buy an GWM Ora? I’m not suggesting for a moment that I wish any harm on the delightful lady.

Not at all. Still, wouldn’t be disappointed if the cheap, tatty bit of junk was stranded by the side of the road.

I’m talking about the car, of course.

The West is asleep at the wheel.

It would be good if the West was only asleep at the wheel. Unfortunately the revelation that the US is to shut down all coal fired power stations is about as close to the death knell of the west as it can get because many other nations, including Australia will speed up their plans for closure.

Who poses the most danger to Australian Jews…

1. The 20 or so Grampian dress up Nazis marching through the streets of Ballarat yesterday?

or

2. The weekly Jew hating festivals in our capital cities for seven weeks now, that are attracting thousands of REAL NAZIS who are screaming, screeching and shouting genocide against Jews?

One guess, the answer isn’t hard.

The Grampian Nazis are a very useful distraction from the elephant in the room though, for the left and Labor generally, and people like AG Mark Dreyfus specifically.

Assuming that the Grampian Nazis aren’t actually a false flag operation, they would have been emboldened by the government’s and the authorities’ very timid (at best) reaction to the wave of anti-Semitism in the last two months.

Nice one, Albo.

Not only did you fail to prepare for a HCA decision that the way in which one single person being permanently detained was unconstitutional, you and your idiot Minister then went and released over 150 of these people into the community (the Hun):

A convicted sex predator once labelled a “danger to the Australian community” has been charged with indecently assaulting another woman in SA just weeks after the High Court granted his release from immigration detention.

On Monday, 65-year-old Aliyawar Yawari faced the Adelaide Magistrates Court charged with two counts of indecent assault – just three weeks after a High Court decision saw the convicted woman-basher released from immigration detention in Western Australia.

And:

It has been confirmed Yawari was wearing an ankle tracking bracelet.

However, between October 2013 and December 2014, the father of seven launched attacks on women in rural parts of South Australia.

In 2013, he was convicted of assault but acquited of rape and received a suspended prison sentence.

Two months later, he was charged after indecently assaulting a woman before hitting her in the neck with a walking stick.

Judge Paul Cuthbertson, during sentencing in 2016, called Yawari a “danger to the Australian community” and an “ongoing risk to women”.

And:

He jailed Yawari for three years and 11 months, with a non parole period of two years and eight months.

He was then transferred to immigration detention where he remained until his release mid November.

Yawari’s release in mid-November came after the Immigration Minister Andrew Giles confirmed that 80 people had been released from detention on “appropriate visa conditions”.

AND:

His arrest came after SA Police officers were called to a hotel on Main North Road in Pooraka after reports a woman had been indecently assaulted by “a guest staying at the hotel.”

Appearing in court with an interpreter on Monday afternoon, Yawari did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody until next year.

But:

Federal Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus however ensured the safety of the Australian community would be the government’s “first priority” following the release of detainees, but didn’t comment on individual conditions for each person released.

First priority, right?

Right, Albo?

It’s not the Army’s job to fix houses that will be trashed as they walk back to the barracks. And if Australians think it is, then the armed forces recruitment problem will go from chronic to calamitous.
Make the people who broke the houses, fix the houses. And don’t turn the army into house repairers – that’s not their function.

Yes.

Unfortunately, mum – always more practical than sentimental – had given all dad’s suits to Lifeline, thinking he’d never need them again given his long illness.

This necessitated a rushed trip to the local clothing emporium on my part, where I gave the rough measurements to the attendant, a middle aged lady who still took pride in serving customers, and explained the clothes were for my father.

As she was packing them up she said, “I hope he likes them. If the trousers need adjusting we have a service for that.”

Not thinking clearly, I said, “I don’t think it will be a problem; he’s dead.”

The poor lady nearly shrank under the counter.

Meanwhile in the Territory:

Seven children, aged between 14 and 17, have been arrested after allegedly stealing two cars and taking them on a joy ride from the rural area to Darwin.

The group were reported to have stolen a Toyota Hilux from Wadeye on Sunday and began driving it to Darwin.

When they got to Batchelor they allegedly stole another car and continued on their roadtrip.

Later that afternoon detectives from Strike Force Trident and the Dog Operations Unit located the boys at an address in Moil.

It was here the stolen Hilux was located and six of the group were arrested.

The second stolen vehicle was found in Palmerston where another 14-year-old was arrested.

All religions have a great deal of interest in sexuality. I wonder if that is because STDs were such a huge issue in human history and controlling sexual activity was the only way to curb infection rates. Another aspect is the remarkable idea of genetic lineage being so important to the intrinsic worth and power of a person. I’ve never read enough about that issue so if anyone can point me to sources addressing why genetic lineage is so fundamental in human history I’d appreciate it.

Melbourne vigil demands more solidarity with Israeli women
Michael Fowler
By Michael Fowler
December 4, 2023 — 7.56pm

Organisers of a vigil in Melbourne on Monday evening say prominent female advocacy groups have failed to show adequate solidarity with Israeli women attacked in Hamas’ October 7 invasion.

The vigil in Elsternwick, in Melbourne’s south-east, attracted hundreds of attendees and featured a speech by Kylie Moore-Gilbert, the Australian academic who was held in an Iranian prison for 804 days.

The women from Melbourne’s Jewish community who organised the event said groups such as the United Nations, Australia’s #MeToo movement, feminists and progressive politicians had “chosen to ignore, contextualise or significantly delay any public response to the sexual crimes of October 7”.

“The scepticism and gaslighting of Israeli women and children who were violently raped and tortured contravenes the very tenets of these activists and organisations – namely, to support and believe all victims,” organisers wrote in a statement.

The UN has commenced an inquiry into war crimes on both sides of the Israel-Hamas conflict. It announced last week that the scope would expand to investigate “numerous accounts” of sexual violence by Hamas that have not yet been able to be officially verified.

Israel says the militant group killed 1200 people and took 240 hostages on October 7 before about 105 hostages – many of them women and children – were released during a seven-day ceasefire that ended last week.

Heavy fighting has since resumed in Gaza, where more than 13,000 Palestinians have died, according to Hamas-run authorities.

On a warm Monday evening at Hopetoun Gardens in Elsternwick, white shirts with the messages “No Excuse” and “We Believe Them” were distributed to approximately 500 attendees. They taped their mouths shut to represent the perceived silence they were protesting and held placards with messages such as “#MeToo Unless you’re a Jew”.

Moore-Gilbert said she wanted to acknowledge two simultaneous situations: the deaths of innocent women and children in Gaza as well as “horrific, unspeakable” sexual violence against Israelis.

“It is excruciatingly painful to watch some Western feminists and international organisations tie themselves in knots attempting to minimise, quantify or, even worse, justify” sexual violence on October 7, she said.

Moore-Gilbert, who was imprisoned in Iran on espionage charges until November 2020, said she had “no doubt” her former captors were involved in the events of October 7

In an example cited by organisers, United Nations Women wrote on social media on December 2 that it was “alarmed by the numerous accounts of gender-based atrocities and sexual violence during those attacks”.

Organisers said the post failed to explicitly reference Israeli women.

“It’s too little, too late. And it’s not enough,” the organisers said.

Federal Liberal senator Sarah Henderson also spoke at the vigil, saying Australians needed to know about and condemn “the rape, the brutality, the kidnapping, the torture and the murder”, without citing specific examples.

Henderson received a loud cheer as she appeared to denounce recent pro-Palestine school student protests across the country.

“Students should be in school, not protesting on the streets. Not being used as political pawns,” she said.

Most people in human history, that is our grandparents, their grandparents and so on were chaste until marriage and most were faithful to their husbands/wives. The only sexual partners they had were those who they were married to. Because many women died in childbirth, men were more likely to have more than one wife but that wasn’t because of promiscuity.

An Afghan refugee released from immigration detention after a controversial High Court ruling has been charged with two counts of indecent assault.

Aliyawar Yawari, 65, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday less than a month after he walked free from Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre in Western Australia.

Police arrested Yawari at the Pavlos Motel in Pooraka in Adelaide’s north on Saturday night after allegations a woman had been assaulted by a guest.

He did not apply for bail and has been remanded in custody until January.

Yawari was previously accused of attacking three women and was convicted of assault in 2016.

More details on Yawari from the Oz:

Barely three weeks ago, Aliyawar Yawari was standing outside a modest motel on Perth’s eastern fringe, smiling for the camera as he celebrated his sudden new-found freedom.

Through broken English, the Afghani refugee – who had fled his homeland for Australia via Pakistan after his father and brother were killed by the Taliban – spoke of his desire to finally get back to work. He pulled out his false teeth, and produced from his wallet an old passport photo from his younger days.

Asked about what he had done to warrant being thrown into immigration detention indefinitely, he was equivocal; he would only say that there had been some issues to do with “fighting”.

Rather than expand on the crimes that had prompted authorities to try to have him deported, Yawari was more interested in talking about his time spent inside Western Australia’s Yongah Hill detention facility and the toll it had taken on him physically.

He spoke of the physical ailments he had developed during his time in detention, and his need for a walking stick given his issues with his legs.

Afterwards, however, a quick Google search shed far more light on his backstory.

The “fighting” Yawari had described was, in fact, multiple attacks and indecent assaults on several elderly women in South Australia.

His offending was so severe that in 2016 District Court judge Paul Cuthbertson described him as a “danger to the Australian community”.

Yawari was found to have attacked three women in the space of 14 months in and around Bordertown in South Australia, where he was working at a local abattoir.

All three cases had similarities. In the first, he punched his victim repeatedly in the face before having sex with her. He was convicted of assault but acquitted of rape at trial, ultimately receiving a suspended sentence.

The crime, Justice Cuthbertson said at the time, had taken a lasting toll on his victim.

“She says that she was once a free and easy person, accepting most people and cultures, but is now somewhat less trusting of others, especially men,” he said.

Two months later, according to the Adelaide Advertiser, Yawari attacked a 64-year-old woman in her home, indecently assaulting her then hitting her in the neck with a walking stick.

His third offence again involved an incident with a lone elderly woman and had sexual overtones and in both those matters, Yawari smashed windows and kicked doors during the attack.

It prompted Justice Cuthbertson to sentence him to three years and 11 months in prison and, in the six years since serving his term, Yawari has been in immigration detention awaiting a deportation that never came.

Lehrmann lawyer’s change of tack on Brittany Higgins interrogation

By stephen rice
NSW Editor
@riceyontheroad
8:14PM December 4, 2023

Brittany Higgins is likely to face a gruelling interrogation on Tuesday over the account she gave last week of her alleged rape by Bruce Lehrmann, with the trial judge in the hard-fought defamation case adamant this should be her final day under cross-examination.

Last week, Higgins gave Network 10’s barrister, Matt Collins KC, a detailed and explicit account of the alleged sexual assault by Lehrmann on a couch in the office of then defence industries minister Linda Reynolds in March 2019. But Lehrmann’s barrister, Steven Whybrow SC, was not buying any of it.

Whybrow, who defended Lehrmann at his criminal trial and cross-examined Higgins then, confounded many observers by first targeting the inconsistencies in her story; “picking off the low-hanging fruit”, as one put it.
Read Next

He spent much of his cross-examination picking apart Higgins’ claims about a photograph of a bruise alleged to have been inflicted during the assault and the state of her dress when discovered by a security guard the next morning. That approach will change on Tuesday when the court sits again, having taken a break on Monday.

Whybrow will likely cut to the chase to make his client’s case that nothing happened in that office on that night.

He doesn’t have much time.

Collins complained to the judge on Friday that Higgins had already been under cross-examination for two full days and would face a third this week.

“It is becoming oppressive – it’s longer than the period Mr Lehrmann was in the witness box and she’s just a witness,” he said.

Justice Michael Lee agreed there was “some force in that” and told Whybrow he would extend sitting hours if necessary to make sure his cross-examination was finished by the end of the day.

The defence has already signalled it will object to several areas Whybrow wants to traverse.

Whybrow wants to play a secret tape Higgins recorded of a conversation with former minister Michaelia Cash.

Higgins is adamant Cash learned about the alleged rape in October 2019, despite the Liberal senator denying she had any knowledge of it until 2021. Higgins has told the court she believed her former boss’s attempts to “check in” on her wellbeing were “nefarious”.

The defence says Lehrmann hasn’t called Cash to give evidence so his counsel shouldn’t be allowed to cross-examine Higgins on it.

Last week Whybrow began questioning Higgins about the aftermath of Lehrmann’s criminal trial, when she walked out of court and made a speech many lawyers felt was prejudicial to any future trial. “You said a number of things, I would suggest, that had the capacity to adversely undermine the fairness of any future trial,” he put to her.

At that point Sue Chrysanthou SC, counsel for Lisa Wilkinson, leapt to her feet to object and Higgins was asked to leave the courtroom. Chrysanthou and Collins questioned the relevance of the speech to the defamation proceedings and the central issue of whether Lehrmann raped Higgins.

Lee seemed to have momentarily forgotten he had barred Wilkinson from involving herself in matters that didn’t relate to the qualified privilege defence being claimed by her client, namely that the TV presenter had acted reasonably in the way she prepared the story.

The expensive silk will have to cool her heels for another week while the trial focuses on Ten’s truth defence – that Lehrmann did rape Higgins – with witnesses including Higgins’ former partner Ben Dillaway, fellow staffers who were with the pair earlier in the night when they went for drinks, and the security guard who found Higgins naked and asleep on the sofa in Reynolds’ office.

The ruling leaves the voluble Chrysanthou in the unusual and uncomfortable position of not being able to speak her piece – in the unlikely event she heeds the warnings.

I think Israel has a slightly lower reliance on the US for military support than Australia. Hard to identify a major weapons system that doesn’t have US input in Australia.

Not so much the major systems, how about light infantry weapons? Did we get more than the 30k F90s? Can we make an RPG equivalent?
Toward the end of the second world war, Churchill asked if the army was going to keep half a million? MG42 captured from the Germans. I wonder if they did, and if we could borrow a hundred thousand.
I really hope we have stored away enough basic infantry weapons to kit up ten Brigades.

Most people in human history, that is our grandparents, their grandparents and so on were chaste until marriage and most were faithful to their husbands/wives. The only sexual partners they had were those who they were married to. Because many women died in childbirth, and many men died in accidents or wars, adults were more likely to have more than one spouse but that wasn’t because of promiscuity.

7 October, 2023.

The battle in Ein Hashur began at 7:54 and lasted between twenty minutes and half an hour. Between ten and twenty Noch’ba fighters participated in the attack and a few dozen more waiting behind to complete the break into the moshav, when in front of them were five members of a standby squad with M16s and about twenty other moshav members armed with pistols and melee weapons. The attack was repelled and the terrorists fought a retreat during which they threw grenades and fired RPGs and evacuated their casualties. Four prisoners were captured from among the terrorists. During the battle, two members of the Moshav’s standby squad, Yariv and Elad, were injured. The seat was not penetrated and no occupant was injured. A significant military force joined the settlement only after 36 hours. The settlement was conducted as an “island” and independently evacuated about 80% of its residents by Sunday afternoon, after which it assisted in the evacuation of other settlements.

You can feel the tension simply by reading the subtitles, though there is little kinetic activity to be seen. Only ten (10) minutes in length; Youtube.

UN and Hamas: Partners in Crime
by Robert Williams • December 4, 2023 at 5:00 am

To understand how the UN effectively runs the Hamas propaganda war, it is important to know that the UN, through its agency for Palestinian refugees, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), is effectively embedded with Hamas in the Gaza Strip…

“The UN has 13,000 employees in tiny Gaza. They know exactly what’s going on… They all knew Hamas’ terror infrastructure was in the hospital compound, where Israel wouldn’t attack. They lied to the world for 16 years. To paint Israel as evil.” — Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of UN Watch, November 16, 2023.

[T]he UN has sustained an incessant campaign, especially on social media, that accuses Israel of deliberately targeting schools, children, civilians, hospitals and healthcare workers. While those are protected from attack during war by international law, that protection does not apply to schools, hospitals and other civilian sites that are used for military purposes.

After Israel nukes gaza the UN should be next.

The original Palestine Mandate included territory up to approximate 20 miles east of the Hejaz railway that passes though Amman. In 1920 the Mandate was altered, by nulling clauses for Jewish settlement east of the Jordan River. The British organised military known as the Arab Force gradually pushed the borders of the Arab state of Palestine, then called Trans Jordan, further east into Arabian regions and the part obviously ruled on a map that would protect transport from the Basra oil field to the port at Haifa with access to European markets.

And I consider your contributions here to be junk. Bolivation, and damaged ego bignoting. Just recall the recoil from folks when you posting stupid threads here. Wasn’t just me. 🙂

No, you ended up being disliked and took off claiming mental problems. First time I’ve agreed with you.

I haven’t been ambiguous . I’ve been pretty clear what I think of you and your worthless commenting. Surely, you don’t think I actually believe you’re a thought leader? Tell me so.

Nope.

There was no need to telegraph your ticking behaviour as all you had to do is continue doing so . I really don’t give a shit.

And performative for an audience. Because you know I know you.

Just like a know you. And the point is what eggsactly?

There is no argument here.

You’re the one who got abusive . No specifics, which is typical of you.

I was done a long time ago, Juan.

You say what you really think and show courage and I’ll uptick your comments.

It’s always this mal-adjusted ego problem with you isn’t it?
Posting comments on a blog isn’t courageous.
If you don’t like what the person thinks then say so, which is what I do. But courageous, get the fck out of here. Posting anon comments doesn’t have the hallmarks of being heroic.

You continue this popularity contest garbage and post simpering shite and I will express my opinion via a down tick.

Sure. But you could explain what exactly I’ve posted that you have issues with. You can’t though because you’re just bullshiitting

We don’t like each other and I’m great with that.

You keep saying. It’s getting old. I neither like nor dislike you I just think you’re an idiot with ego problems.

I continue to wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous life.

Sure.

Talk to you later.

Do two things, down tick and explain why you have a problem. It’s actually more “courageous” seeing you have this courage thing going.

I don’t know if this is true. It is a striking example of the overwhelming supremacy of US military capability. I will not be surprised if it is true because I don’t buy into the argument that the US military has become woke and weak.

I agree. There is one issue though, which is that the US appears to have recruiting and retention issues, possibly a problem because of the low unemployment rate and divergence between military pay vs the private sphere.

Example:

On average, an F-35 pilot in the United States can earn a base salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year. However, this figure does not include additional benefits, such as housing allowances, flight pay, and bonuses, which can significantly increase their

Comparably, airlines are bidding at $1 million comp at the moment from what I read rcently. The difference is enormous and guaranteed to cause attrition in the AF.

To emphasize, not all, but a decent part of the military these days – at least the US – is brain power, which is what you suggested a while ago. Within the next 30 years a lot of military work will be done with robots and AI.

The Israeli military is apparently using AI in its current Gaza operation.

By the way. the upper level with those inducements would take it up to 175K. Still a huge difference.

JC, that is a global problem. Many countries are having trouble finding military personnel. Years ago some chap stated there are more Australian fighter pilots in the Cathay Pacific pilot lounge than in the air force. Two prominent Youtubers, both former fighter pilots, are now commercial pilots.

The USA has a pilot shortage, so does Russia and I suspect other countries also have that problem. A NATO fighter pilot has about 200 flight hours per year. Transport pilots in the military accrue much longer hours. The vast majority of military personnel are not in glamourous roles. What is the incentive to join the military? Mel Gibson produced a series on navy personnel. One of the most cited reasons for joining the Navy was not to see the world or defend the country, it was for the benefits like education etc.

I don’t think it is just about pay or benefits. Military life can involve deployment here, there, and everywhere. Who wants to live a life constantly moving every few years or being away from family for months on end(navy)? Many opt for the regular stint to get the benefits and get out. Recent military adventurism by the USA has been a disaster, and no-one can seriously argue that the USA faces imminent military threats. The incentive structures are wrong.

I don’t want to diminish the role of frontline military personnel but I sometimes get the impression that people fail to realise modern military capability is very much about hardware and systems. It doesn’t matter how good the frontline personnel are, they cannot compensate for substandard hardware. Just ask a Russian tank crew. The F 35 is selling by the hundreds, they can’t build ’em quick enough, all other military aircraft are selling in low numbers. But the F 35 is slower than aircraft built 30 years ago, is not super maneuverable, and has a limited payload and range. What it has is an amazing information integration by digital means that enables pilots to focus on flying rather than managing all the other functions; and is so stealthy that long before an opponent has detected it the aircraft has fired its weapons and going home.

Good comment.

I think all NATO countries have volunteer forces. That’s costly compared to obligatory service. like in China of obvious reasons. It’s a serious issue. Government debt is big in all countries and this places financial constraints on things like pay.

The chant in Ballarat was once policy.

During World War II, Prime Minister John Curtin reinforced the policy, saying “This country shall remain forever the home of the descendants of those people who came here in peace in order to establish in the South Seas an outpost of the British race.”
