I have no knowledge of the nurse’s story as linked, however I’ve previously revealed myself as a Qld. Health worker (waaaay down the totem pole!) who refused the ‘vaccine’ and has suffered significant financial loss, along with physical and mental health challenges (all documented) as a result. I have not yet been terminated due to my membership of a renegade union, however prior to Christmas, Qld. Health reiterated their intention to discipline me once the last legal challenge concludes, which is likely to be this February sometime. As part of their tactics, Qld. Health has made allegations of serious misconduct against a number of staff. In my case, this is very easily dismissed with documentary evidence, however they are persisting with the intimidation. There is a pervasive mental sickness within the organisation that requires either a formal purge or an exorcism.

In infinitely sad news I’m not flying out tonight.
Done some nerve damage to right hand/wrist.

I hope we haven’t been responsible for this, Rosie.

We’ve all enthused so much about your Twitter feeds, hope the scrolling hasn’t been contributory.

Glad to hear it is getting better now. a two week interval should help.

It has been extraordinary to witness how a bureaucracy can mimic the behaviours of a psychologically disturbed individual and escape any consequences.

Next up, nice change of pace, a Tasmanian “environmentalist” academic who thinks nuclear is necessary as part of “the solution”. They all think that reducing emissions tweaks the Earth’s thermostat. This is the big lie. But it keeps on being reinforced like the fabled Chinese water-drip torture.

It seems that the Parramatta (NSW) Greens are having a teddy bears picnic soon.
Latest correspondence received, below.

You’re invited!
Hi [name],
The Parramatta Greens are holding a casual summer picnic on Sunday 28 January 2024, starting 11am! Any members or supporters of the Greens are welcome to come along to celebrate the achievements of the past year among friends.
The picnic will be held at Third Settlement Reserve, Winston Hills near the Pemulwuy Loop Playground, on the corner of Oakes Rd and Edison Pde. Food (fruit and snacks) and water will be provided. This is a family-friendly event – there is a playground nearby – so please feel welcome to bring folks along. Optionally, please also feel free to bring some food or a picnic blanket to share if you would like to (no alcohol). There will be some parking available.
It will probably be a hot day, so please be sun-safe. If it is forecast to be raining or too hot, we will reschedule for another date 🙂
If you can make it, please RSVP by responding to this email or shooting me an email at [email protected].
Hope to see you there!
Yours,
Daniel
Secretary, Parramatta Greens

Sounds absolutely luverly. Would be fascinating to see who/what turns up. Purely for observation purposes, of course.

Fellow QLD Cats, I note the Boy Premier has met with a community group advocating for youth justice reform.

They are demanding an undertaking in writing from him that repeat offenders will not be released on bail only to reoffend, failing which they will be campaigning against him.

Interesting comment from Tom the other day about the decision of Boeing to ditch the 757 way back when.
No doubt a lack of enthusiasm from airlines was a factor.
It was much larger than the 737 back then with the -200 variant having a seating capacity of 240.
And where are we now?
The 737-MAX 10 is going to seat 230.
So they’ve stretched the 737 to near 757 capacity and put themselves in a world of pain.
There is no doubt they could have upgraded the 757 with more efficient engines and fly-by-wire, just as they have tried to do with the 737-MAX. One thing they wouldn’t have had to do with the 757. That is, change the engine positioning due to ground clearance and write that ridiculous anti-stall software.

I dislike writing about myself, but wanted to emphasise that the damage inflicted upon a significant number of people (not just from Qld. Health), caused scars which are still being dealt with now, long after many have forgotten just how violent the ‘Lords and Ladies of Fire’ (Burn the peasants!) acted to distract themselves from their own cowardice and deficient self-esteem. Eff the lot of them and the syphilitic camels they rode in on.

William Penn was one of the most morally upright men to ever live. He was a pacifist and was completely honorable in all his dealings with American Indians — he paid for all the land he settled on and honored all of his treaties. He supported freedom of religion, and despite having Pennsylvania as his personal property he gave it one of the most democratic governments in the world.

Despite that, the Biden Administration is pulling down a statue of Penn that stands on the site of his former home, in order to make the site more “welcoming” and “inclusive.”

It was never about what people in the past did. It’s about what they are: William Penn was a white, English-speaking settler who played a crucial role in building the America of today. The left’s ideology demands that all such people be blotted out.

Dover, he’s doing what gerbil warming fanatics do, which is to only show numbers that suit their argument and ignore the facts.

See this chart representing real wages from 2000 to the present. From 2000 to 2009, real wages went up an unsustainable:
€17,325 in 2000 to €26,606 in 2009. A 54% increase totally unsupported by productivity gains.

That required a massive internal adjustment as they don’t have the flexibility of having their own currency. Someone has to pay the piper.

Greek unemployment rate was 26.5% in 2013 and now close to halved. So the internal devaluation/ adjustment has worked to get the jobless rate down. Falling real wages to allow the necessary adjustment to take place and get people back to work has succeeded but much more needs to be done, which is a function of time.

Frayed knot.
During the reign of King Gough I we converted to metric. Gough’s courtiers tried to force the aviation industry to go fully metric. They eventually accepted that arriving international pilots could get very confused trying to convert assigned ATC altitudes in metres to feet on their altimeter.
Torque and bolt size don’t matter much if the bolts are still back in the factory. Which was heavily hinted at as a possibility by an NTSB guy on the news tonight.
The term “loose bolts” featured heavily in news reports tonight.

Hardline Aboriginal activists will demand “freedom for Palestine” and call on the Albanese government to cut all ties with Israel at their annual anti-Australia Day rallies, causing one Aboriginal leader to warn they will alienate longstanding Jewish supporters of reconciliation.

Leading left-wing figures Lidia Thorpe and Tasmanian Indigenous leader Michael Mansell say Palestine will form a key part of their Invasion Day messages, as they look to drive the wider Indigenous movement in a more radical direction post-referendum.

But Yes campaign leaders Sean Gordon and Mark Leibler said tying the two movements to each other would “alienate” the Jewish community from Indigenous gatherings and deprive the Aboriginal rights movement of much needed allies.

The event page for Sydney’s Invasion Day Rally, organised by The Blak Caucus, features a list of nine demands, including ending the “war on black kids”, ceasing forced removal of children, shutting down youth prisons and prosecuting officials over black deaths in custody.

The seventh demand from the “First Nations organising collective” urges the government to “cut ties with and impose sanctions on colonial, apartheid Israel until Palestine is free”. Independent Senator Thorpe said Palestine would form a key part of her Invasion Day message and urged people to join her on January 26 in “extending our solidarity to the people of Palestine”.

Agreed, a wonderful film about a real man. Courage, drive, persistence, and modesty, Winton had it all.
I took my two high-school aged grandchildren.
I was very surprised at their lack of knowledge about Hitler’s “Final Solution” but hugely encouraged by their thirst for information about the tragedy of the Holocaust and German plans for Europe.
The film showed them what real courage is and opened their eyes to WWII.

Even so, the wages now are lower than in 2000.

Yeah, the adjustment after the massive bath can take a long time. Also, the unemployment rate is still 13% plus, which means real wages are being held down by this decent overhang.

When you give away the flexibility of having your own currency, there has to be an internal devaluation of sorts and it reflected through wages. The medicine is working but it could have occurred sooner if they allowed more flexibly in the prior years.

Frankly, we may not have a really good picture for the simple reason that there’s a large grey market in hiring and we don’t know what’s happening under the counter. They may have cleaned this up somewhat but we don’t know.

In 1997 or 98, sometime around there, it was Friday around 11 a.m., and on a quiet trading day, we were busy ordering pizza to be delivered to the trading desk.

The sales guy handling the account gets a call from the big whale, who at the time happened to be one of the biggest, juiciest accounts on the street. They weren’t hugely price-sensitive, so every time the account traded with us, it helped us or me indirectly pay the mortgage because we snipped a decent spread. Ironically, the person running trade execution for the whale was an Australian dude operating out of the Bahamas.

The order came in, and it was to buy 1 billion Deutschmark or Euros (forget which) against the Greek Drachma. We never really traded that currency in New York, so we passed it on to the dickheads in the London office. 30 minutes later, the arseholes hadn’t done a single part of the order, so I told the trader we’d take it back and do it ourselves through the dealing system. We filled the order over a period of 15 minutes, and then we found the Greek central bank supporting the currency at the bottom, where it had to intervene to hold the EMS band.
An order came in for another billion, and we settled that through the trading system, and again, the Greek central bank was there holding the fort.

Then the client bought another billion and some more. Same execution occurred with the Greek CB.

That weekend, the Greeks devalued the Drachma by 30%, and the client ended up making something like 330 DM or Euros on Monday.

The desk made about 7 million dollars from the trade execution and a position we took because we suspected something was up.

We later found out that a senior portfolio manager who worked for the whale was married to one of the famous Greek shipping families and got the inside scoop that the drachma was being devalued that weekend.

Can confirm about the patches. My family owned several tailoring businesses in Titusville, Cocoa Beach and Melbourne so people working on those programs would bring them to us to sew on. We worked with people from Cape Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center, Patrick Airforce Base, Northrop Grumman etc. and I remember seeing some really odd Greek/Roman mythology on the patches along with Illuminati and free mason stuff, sci fi just all kinds of weird stuff that made no sense and some even looked a little demonic. I was so curious that I remember researching the specific names of programs and their emblems on old dial up internet. I just figured there were some really strange people working on these programs and they had free rein to make their mission patch and it was probably designed after a night of drinking and inside jokes. So interesting to see Diana talk about this stuff 25 years after I initially researched it.

But not an inside trade, huh?

There was no such rule in the currency markets, as it only applied to stocks then. It has changed since then, I believe.

The famous trade that Uncle George was supposed to have bravely and heroically taken on the Bank of England was also an inside job.

According to what we heard from a former portfolio manager working for Uncle George, George got the inside scoop that the Germans were not going to support the pound within the European Monetary System. Karl Otto Pohl was the longtime head of the Bundesbank, and when he retired, Uncle George gave him a job on his “international board”- likely because he’d given George inside information when he ran the central bank. There was no “international board as such,” but just a bunch of Uncle George’s cronies looking for a payout.

Pohl gave him the inside scoop that the Germans were not going to help in supporting the pound, and it would leave the system. The Euros were pissed off with Thatcher. That’s the story we heard about how Uncle George heroically took on the BofE. Through inside information.

Queensland’s LNP vows to axe new Indigenous treaty institute if elected

By lydia lynch
Queensland Political Reporter
8:00PM January 9, 2024
15 Comments

Queensland’s Liberal National Party leader David Crisafulli will axe immediately a newly created Indigenous institute tasked with overseeing treaty negotiations if he wins the state election in October, in a move Aboriginal leaders have warned would require landmark laws to be repealed.

New Labor Premier Steven Miles is pushing ahead with Indigenous treaties “as legislated”, with a 10-member institute – due to be appointed in weeks – that would support First Nations people to prepare for and enter negotiations with government.

A separate three-year truth-telling inquiry to investigate the impacts of colonisation also is being assembled, with plans to start work before mid-year.

But Mr Crisafulli on Tuesday committed to cutting the institute and its council if the LNP wins government later this year.

“That process will end,” he said. “We won’t be wasting any time talking about those issues, in terms of the treaty and truth-telling process, because we’ve said that we’re not embarking on that.

“If the government wants the election to be a referendum on whether or not they want to embark on a treaty and a truth-telling process, well, our counterpoint to that will be on accountability when it comes to housing, education, law and order, and lifting those communities up and giving them hope.”

Mick Gooda, one of the architects of Queensland’s treaty laws, said Mr Crisafulli would have to overhaul legislation if he wanted to abolish treaty and truth telling. “When we did our initial consultation (on treaty laws) it was not unusual for us to find Aboriginal people who were cynical and fatigued from consultation where nothing happens,” he said.

“That’s why we asked for legislation, which was passed with 88 out of 92 members supporting it, because we wanted certainty. Even though legislation can be changed, it has to be done so publicly.”

Queensland passed laws last May with support from the LNP, Labor and the Greens, allowing the government to negotiate treaty deals with up to 150 First Nations groups. Traditional owners would lead negotiations on what they wanted in treaties but might seek reparations for Stolen Generations, joint management of national parks, renaming places, changes to school curriculums and community-controlled health services.

Mr Crisafulli retreated from his commitment to treaty in the face of growing pressure in the LNP and in the days after the voice referendum. He had said previously he would “absolutely not” roll back Indigenous treaty legislation if he became premier.

Queensland delivered the strongest rejection of the voice, with 68.9 per cent voting No in the referendum, 4 per cent higher than the next state against constitutional change, South Australia.

After the LNP withdrew support, premier Annastacia Palaszczuk would commit only to going ahead with truth-telling hearings, insisting treaties were not viable without bipartisan support. Before quitting politics last month, she gave her commitment to Indigenous leaders, including Mr Gooda, that her government would forge ahead on treaty.

Just in time for Christmas 2024.

Former Australian prime minister Scott Morrison has secured a deal to publish a book this year, with a contribution from a high profile US politician.

The book, titled Plans For Your Good: A Prime Minister’s Testimony of God’s Faithfulness, is set to be released on May 21, two years to the day after Mr Morrison conceded defeat to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the 2022 election.

A special foreword included in the book will be written by former US President Donald Trump running mate and Vice President, Mike Pence.

The book promises to offer an insider’s account of Mr Morrison’s political career and his open commitment to the Pentecostal Christian faith.

Mr Morrison secured a deal with W Publishing, owned by HarperCollins Christian Publishing and a Thomas Nelson imprint, which according to their website, covers faith-based nonfiction works.

While the book will deal with Mr Morrison’s political career, the heavy focus will revolve around “pastoral encouragement” which has been a passion for the former prime minister.

“Most politicians write books about what they have done. This is not one of those books,” Mr Morrison writes.

“In writing this book, what was important was not what I did, but what God did for me, how He sustained and encouraged me in good times and bad, from a miracle victory to a crushing defeat, and how his faithfulness over a lifetime had prepared me for these times.”

The book is said to have his “honest, vulnerable and reflective answers” to major global events during his time as the 30th prime minister of Australia between 2018 and 2022.

Subjects including cancel culture, identity politics and “deep secularisation” of western societies are all said to be tackled throughout the project.

Details of Mr Pence’s contribution to the book are yet to be released, with the former Vice President as open about his faith, as a born again evangelical Christian, during his time in office.

If only the courage in their Christian faith actually carried over to performance in office. SloMo in particular during the covid rubbish.

Fauci flip flops during first 7-hour session of grilling before the House.

Story by Cassidy Morrison Senior Health Reporter For Dailymail.Com

House GOP said Fauci’s pandemic policies full of drastic and systemic failures
He ‘backtracked’ on past claims his agency never funded gain of function abroad

READ MORE: Fauci grilled by Congress during two marathon 7-hour sessions

Dr Anthony Fauci evaded more than 100 questions about Covid, the lab leak theory and his ties to Wuhan during a landmark Congressional hearing Monday.

House Republicans who quizzed the ex-White House advisor said he ‘played semantics’ to avoid conceding that he funded dangerous research in China that is feared to have started the pandemic.

Dr Fauci, 82, also admitted that he signed off on millions of dollars worth of grants without reviewing the proposals – and appeared to admit his agency had little oversight of the foreign labs it bankrolled.

The all-day probe on Monday will be followed by another seven hours of questioning behind closed doors today.

Dr Fauci is accused of funding risky experiments believed to have started the pandemic and suppressing the lab leak theory to silence his critics.

Dr Fauci’s closed-door testimony is expected to get heated as previous hearings have. In the past, Dr Fauci has clashed with lawmakers including Sen Rand Paul of Kentucky over his perceived coverup of funding for gain of function research as well as the Covid lab leak theory.

Saw this last night:

Hardline Aboriginal activists will demand “freedom for Palestine” and call on the Albanese government to cut all ties with Israel at their annual anti-Australia Day rallies,

Since they call us colonisers and since they accuse the Jews of Israel of being a coloniser, and since the ‘Freedom for Palestine’ cause desires all the Jews be expelled or killed (it is in Hamas charter as well as every classroom, TV show, and it feels like it must be in every conversation), then what is it that these Hardline Aboriginal activists plan for us non-Aboriginals?

Well, they keep using the euphemism ‘Reconciliation’ which our unsophisticated politicians, MSM, and academics assume is meant literally.

An X-post asserting that American newspaper advertising revenue, since 2006, has collapsed from $49B to just $9B.

My first thought was that such a collapse would surely have resulted in a lot of papers closing and you would have heard of that. But the $49B actually looks to be part of a ‘bubble’, perhaps restricted to the major mastheads that have greated ability to weather shocks that smaller ones. The circulation numbers have maintained a pretty rate of growth.

So, did something (or some things) happen from the mid-seventies that saw advertising increases outpace circulation increases and which thing (or things) have ceased to have an impact? Or did advertisers drive the increase and with the advent of social media they have taken advertising that was previously the newspapers’ for the asking and shifted it to social media?

Newspapers have long been rubbishing their brand, indulging in their own every whim and taking the readership for granted, but could get away with it. Until the internet.

Look what happened to the Sickly Moaning Haemorrhoid in Sydney. People relied on their classifieds and Domain, so much so the editors and journalists could rub themselves lasciviously against their desks – and then the intertubes came along…

“Multiple States Have Already Voted To Allow Illegal Immigrants (Non-Citizens) To Vote & Many More States Currently In Process Of Passing Legislation To Allow Them To Vote.”

Next stage of this will be prospective immigrants who haven’t yet arrived have a right to vote. If non-citizens can vote, then do they really need to be resident within the borders?

Katzenjammer,
remember when Trump was running for President the first time? Many in the UK media and the Euro media were demanding the right to vote in the US election to protect the US, of course. They were giving all sorts of convoluted reasons for their belief in their right to vote.

But of course she has. FMD. Herald Sun Mitch Clarke and Mike Butler reporting:

The state government has quietly dumped a promise to put electronic monitoring devices on dangerous young thugs, insisting the measure is now not needed because there are fewer youth offenders.

Leading up to the 2018 election, the government said parolees as young as 16 who had committed serious offences such as murder, rape, home invasions, carjackings or dangerous driving would be tracked.

Then families and children minister Jenny Mikakos spruiked electronic monitoring as a way to “better protect the community” and as a “constant reminder” to young offenders to comply with their orders.

But legislation announced in July of that year did not pass the parliament before its term ended in November and, once re-elected, the government did not reintroduce it.

This is despite police statistics showing a 30 per cent rise in crimes against persons committed by youths aged 14 to 17 in the year to December.

The force has been running around-the-clock operations to tackle the scourge in the eastern and southeastern suburbs.

Officers attached to the separate Operation Alliance, which runs across Melbourne, arrested 416 known gang members for a combined 1511 offences last year.

Among the worst was a 15-year-old boy arrested 33 times over 135 matters.

But the government said the tracking tactic was not needed because the situation was different to 2018 when the laws were first proposed.

Former Victoria Police chief commissioner Kel Glare said tracking measures – while not necessarily ankle monitors – were “absolutely essential”.

“These young people should certainly be fitted with a monitoring device because the lessons aren’t being learnt,” Mr Glare said.

“There has to be consequences. These kids see going before the courts and being released back into the community as a badge of honour. They think ‘we got away with it’ and they’ll just do it again.”

One veteran police officer said while crime figures might be stable overall, the kind of serious offending by those who might have been subject to electronic monitoring continued to rise.

“I’d put it into the category of a stocking filler prior to an election that gets forgotten about rather quickly … all about window dressing,” the officer said.

Prominent youth worker Les Twentyman said electronic monitoring was a better alternative to locking up the young.

“We’ve got to try to rehabilitate these people and that doesn’t happen in prison,” he said. “As an alternative to jail, I’d tick off on that every time.”

The Herald Sun has been told among the most prolific young offenders is an influential member of a western suburbs youth gang, which he joined in 2020.

The 17-year-old from Wyndham Vale was charged 10 times last year with offences while on bail, on top of seven armed robbery counts and assaults.

He has been arrested 25 times all together and hit with 132 charges since 2019.

Police intelligence indicates the rate of his gang associates’ law-breaking escalates when he is free.

Opposition police spokesman Brad Battin said the government had backed away from its own promise to protect community safety.

“Youth crime is continuing to increase at an alarming rate, and the Labor government have failed to deliver on their own commitments to make our communities safer,” he said.

“There are far too many examples of young offenders getting bail or released only to commit more violent crimes.”

A government spokeswoman said Victoria had one of the lowest rates of youth offending and young people in custody across the country.

She said in 2022-23 the independent Youth Parole Board cancelled 30 of 70 parole orders made during the period.

Well no shit government yes man, there are no kids in detention because they are roaming the streets breaking the law.
If the offenders are of any background other than Australian, deport them. Or at least some uninhabited island off the west coast of Tasmania during winter.

What do you say to people who would call you a Nazi or Nazi sympathiser?

Do you sleep well at night siding with a people who committed such atrocities on Oct 7th?

What would you say to the parents of the young women taken from a Peace festival, brutalised and held hostage ?

What do you have against a democratic society that makes you support a brutal thug-ocracy?

When do you think your side will release the hostages or have your lot already killed them?

This will not end well for Hamas / Palestine.

Good day to you sir.

They can simply make it part of the deal to sign up as a new hire and their policy, no need to make it a regulation. Other medical questionnaire information can be much more personal and you consent, plus the information isn’t shared (in theory). There is also an exemption to the Anti Discrimination Act in NSW that legitimised the COVID rules regarding employment (of new hires from that point on).

I wouldn’t get too tetchy, Rosie. It was meant light heartedly from a friendly evangelical who respects Catholics to a hopefully respectful Catholic.

I am aware of Pence’s Theological convictions. If I had a serious point at all, it was that Pentecostals and Charismatics are more likely to be Scomo’s audience than thinking Evangelicals.

It’s too nice a morning for tetchiness. (I would put a smiley emoji here but don’t know how)

IIRC, the Commonwealth Privacy Act places restrictions on asking formanymedical data.

Of course, any breaches of the Privacy Act between 2019 and 2022 would have been incidental compared to the many breaches of other legislation that occurred in that period.

WASHINGTON — Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) issued the following statement after day one of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s two-day, 14-hour transcribed interview:

“Dr. Fauci’s testimony today uncovered drastic and systemic failures in America’s public health systems. While leading the nation’s COVID-19 response and influencing public narratives, he simultaneously had no idea what was happening under his own jurisdiction at NIAID. Dr. Fauci signed off on all domestic and foreign research grants without reviewing the proposals and admitted that he was unaware if NIAID conducted oversight of the laboratories they fund. Clearly, the American people and the United States government are operating with completely different expectations about the responsibilities of our public health leaders and the accountability of our public health agencies.

It is also concerning that the face of our nation’s response to the world’s worst public health crisis ‘does not recall’ key details about COVID-19 origins and pandemic-era policies. Nearly 1.2 million Americans lost their lives to a potentially preventable pandemic. I look forward to asking Dr. Fauci further questions about mandates, his role in prompting the ‘Proximal Origin’ publication, and his policy positions related to masks and lockdowns. Tomorrow’s testimony will continue the Select Subcommittee’s effort to deliver the answers Americans demand and deserve.”
