Ya reckon? I had a confrontation with a “lady” policeman this very day. It was a two-lane, very busy road, and there was , as I later found out, a pretty decent accident at an equally busy intersection. One car was sitting on its side. All the traffic in my lanes was being told to do a U-turn, and I proceeded to do exactly that. This gross, fat slob with tats all up her arms started screaming at me because she said our lane wasn’t supposed to move. She never indicated that though. So I screamed back at her to learn some manners and try to improve her communication skills.

For instance, written music is mathematical, and written shorthand is similar. Latin is a language based on a decimal structure, hence modern maths and western English.
Eastern Sanskrit-based languages, music, money are a different universe that I have not learned yet.

One of the best episodes of Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares was when he helped a flaky Scottish single mother who had a vegetarian cafe in Paris, with the crazy South American chef.
Ramsey got simple mass produced down to earth food, all with profitability in mind.
It was the first time I thought vegetarian food looked palatable.
The Scottish grandad who was bankrolling the operation had to pull the pin eventually. It’s like his daughter wanted to fail. She had been gifted a turn key business, all she had to do was turn up.
She ended up putting a cracking young apprentice chef from Scotland out of work as well as a reliable French mother who did prep early.

The beloved children’s series has aged like milk
Classic literature passes the test of time by continuing to speak good, powerful lessons on important issues that do not go away. In The Odyssey, we are captured by the overwhelming desire to get home. In Hamlet, we are torn by indecision. For Whom the Bell Tolls tells us of the plight of the rebel.
There may be elements of the story that no longer apply to today’s world or that no longer fit in it. Odysseus had slaves, women couldn’t act in Elizabethan England, and Hemingway was a misogynist. But these things can be cut away or treated as useful, largely innocuous pieces of historical information. They could even be details that draw more meaning from the text and inform us of why our society is the way it is.
In The Chronicles of Narnia, though, these flaws in the books’ message are not harmless. If the Christian metaphor and the 1950s-style sexism and racism aren’t enough to strip the title of “classic literature” from The Chronicles, then the virulent Islamophobia in this children’s series should be. Worse, the anti-Muslim attitude cannot be cut from the series.
It is the series.
It is the lesson being taught.
Narnia is not just about getting Christian concepts like faith and providence in front of malleable children; it is also about sowing the seeds of distrust and disdain of Muslims and their Islamic faith.
That has no place in modern society.
