I fully expected the previous debate to be like this, with CNN operatives doing their best to sink Trump at every turn. Maybe it was realised that it was mission impossible, and there was the early date they needed to do the swap! So they played it straight and let Joe sink.
It was probably a setup to give them time to insert Kamala, but now it means that the MSM gloves are off again. It’s there, horror movie right here on the TV.
Trump is doing a fine job of wedging and dividing Harris from the loony left activist base of the Democratic Party, who are hating her say she supports Israel.
I do not think that it is true to say that the base hates her saying that she supports Israel. I don’t think they mind her -saying- that at all.
Actually supporting would be an issue, but there is no indication at all that she has ever done or ever plans to do that.
Yer right about the Freo Doctor/docker being a ssw’ly, tho.

Harris has been coached to smile and shake her head, and to lie.
She has been given the questions in advance.
Yes, I think so. She’s been heavily coached in the visual facial responses too. How to look astonished, incredulous, sadly concerned, etc. She does an over-acting job on tender-heartedness over women, healthcare, and the adulation of the sacrifices of the military. Assume camera is on you constantly has been her advice and camera obliges.
I wonder how many will be taken in by this performance rather than judging her on her lies and her record. Too many, I suspect. Trump held his own but I doubt if he won more converts. He has lots already of course, but we haven’t seen the steal applied yet. I am not too hopeful, but maybe that’s just me in a down period. Hairy in dentist now having tooth pulled slowly. Like watching Kamala, I sympathise.
I am waiting in the surgery ready to drive him home.
It’s almost as if the regime wanted Biden out and Harris in and they were just trying to find a way this could be achieved. I’d hate to think what they might be prepared to do, if Harris doesn’t get the boost they hope for, in Ukraine or the Middle East. The Oct surprise might be horrendous.
They will stop at nothing, it seems.
Thanks Bungonia and other Cats for the running commentary on the debate as I’m in meetings and am reading your updates!!!
Harris supporting a “Two State” solution in the Middle East.
“I want to turn to Afghanistan” – translation “How can I help you to neutralise this issue?”
“I want to move on now to race and policy” – translation: “how can I help paint Trump as racist?”
“Trump attempts to divide people on racial lines” – don’t expect any ABC query on this obvious lie by Harris.
Latham was doing good work before his Tweet. However that Tweet has pretty much silenced him as not heard much from him since then.
ie exactly what it was designed to do.
“I have a plan”
Hahaha
“I have a plan” – translation: carry on trying to buy votes.
Harris is going the full Alinsky: Rule Number 1: accuse your enemy of what you’re doing yourself.
That is, I am a racist using identity politics to put people in racist little boxes. Therefore, my opponent must be doing the same.

Yes.

Nor should they.

Conclusion: a lying liar woman supported by a complicit MSM lynch mob.
The cackler is embarrassing.
Wandering all over the place and spreading word salads.
Not word salads – alphabet spaghetti soup.
I repeat, she must have had the questions.
From the Oz.
Two thirds of the way through the first presidential debate, at the one hour mark, there’s no obvious winner.
Donald Trump appears tired and angry. Kamala Harris has done better than perhaps her detractors would have hoped, noticeably avoiding any obvious word salads or clanging errors but showing obvoius emotion over issues such as abortion.
She’s clearly better prepared than the former president, who by his own admission did little preparation.
Immigration, and to a lesser extent the economy and inflation, have dominated the debate more than any other issue, which play to Mr Trump’s strengths, given his standing in the polls on these issues”.
If he did little preparation that is a sign of his arrogance and pisses me off. So many of the subjects are predictable and would have been covered by a good prep team. She appears to have done hers. He needed to land a good debate.
Not watched it myself but he himself said not done much preparing which in my view is letting down his supporters who are counting on him to prevent a Harris win.
There’s the problem right there.
Murdoch press has been in Kamala’s pocket all the way. The ridiculous stuff the Oz, the Tele and the absolutely cretinous News.com.au website have been running has been disgraceful and ludicrous.
She lied all through without being picked up at all, while the ABC bloke took issue several times with Trump and also slanted questions!
He did prepare. He had meetings with his policy advisors covering all the likely questions.
Harris, having received the questions in advance, simply had to answer and insert emotion when necessary. She was constantly looking at him – perhaps she was “seeing” her aide who pretended to be Trump during rehearsals.
My take before the debate, was I right?

That’s the difference, Arky.

Incredibly powerful (and completely true) closing statement from Fatty Trump.
Yes Trump won the roundup.
I did in the end watch the debate, and as predicted, I now have a migraine.
I literally had to turn the volume down during her talking, it was like my brain was being stabbed.
Anal Lise with a sparkling interview chats to a bleck democrat poof to summarise the “debate”.
Kamala parroted a lot of platitudes, with the implication that Trump does not measure up. Her deluded fan based will lap it up.
The stupid smirk on her face throughout was a total turn-off.
Interesting how those scumbags at the ABC fact checked Trump on the Cat stew story but no fact check on the fine people hoax uttered by the smirking Kamaltoe.
No winner, and Trump was Trump.
I also suspect KamalToe was given the broad outline of the questions.
Broad outlines? Ha! She was given them word for word.
Aside from TV ratings and the opportunity for various common taters (sic) to publicly stroke themselves, how much does the U.S. Prez. debate actually matter? Serious question.
The cackling kamel blathers through her nose, which is incredibly annoying and infuriating.

What a sham.
Analysis: Trump a short half head ahead in decent debate
Greg Sheridan
So Mr Sheridan you are saying that Trump won despite Kamala, two supporting ‘moderators’, scripted questions and ‘technical issues’ allowing Harris to speak over him?
Oh, ok. I am impressed by your perspective analysis, it’s true genius.
If Sheridan says “a short half head”, it was a Trumpian triumph.
Well, at least it wasn’t London to a brick.
That’s an insult to bricks.
M0nty:“It would be hilarious if Trump loses Florida on the back of Haitian votes.”
It would be more hilarious if DJT wins the popular vote and California is REQUIRED under it’s own laws to cast their electoral college votes for him.

Harris campaign chair calls for second debate
Agency writers
Following the close of tonight’s debate, Kamala Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon said the candidates should hold another debate in October.
“Under the bright lights, the American people got to see the choice they will face this fall at the ballot box: between moving forward with Kamala Harris, or going backwards with Trump,” she wrote in a statement. “That’s what they saw tonight and what they should see at a second debate in October. Vice President Harris is ready for a second debate. Is Donald Trump?”
I didn’t see any of it, but that tells me Harris bossed the debate.
LOL, support from the KamelToe campaign means that she won? LOL again.
Anyone know what (or which) “economics crimes” Fatty Trump has been convicted of?
Wow – this is a non stop lie fest. What a stupid, stupid woman.

Gun buyback ends with a bangBy Hamish HastieNot content with just crushing guns collected during the state’s voluntary buyback scheme, WA Police have opted for a more explosive option.
As part of its PR push to spruik the success of the six-month buyback, WA Police this morning released footage of the destruction of some of the 38,442 weapons collected which featured a huge explosion at an undisclosed location.
The footage also included guns being destroyed by an industrial crusher and shredder.
WA Police have not responded to questions about why they opted to explode guns over crushing them.
Nearly 20,500 gun licence holders handed back the weapons over the course of the buyback period, which closed on August 31, reducing the number of gun owners in the state from 88,132 to 82,065.
Around 320,000 guns remain in the community.
The state set aside $64.3 million for the buyback program but so far, only $11 million has been spent with Police Minister Paul Papalia saying that would likely increase to $15 million.
How many were rusty relics that can’t function properly anymore or hand me downs from deceased estates never registered in the first place.
Trump was little more subdued than in previous debates. But then, I think many people expected that. Most people will be somewhat changed by a near miss on their life.
On the other hand, he instinctively knows what buttons to press that voters will respond to. Harris appealed to a narrower band. Trump also projects an image of mastery. In this age of uncertainty, I believe American voters will back confidence and certainty.
BTW I have viewed the citizen testimony to a committee re the situation in Springfield Ohio. If these poor people were acting or lying – they should get Academy awards!

Someone up thread repeated the claim that Trump went in unprepared. I put this in the nested comments, but posting it again because it needs repeating.
He did prepare. He had meetings with his policy advisors covering all the likely questions.
Harris, having received the questions in advance, simply had to answer and insert emotion when necessary. She was constantly looking at him – perhaps she was “seeing” her aide who pretended to be Trump during rehearsals.
Nested comments ruin the thread because they miss being read and also you can’t do a ‘control F’ on someone’s name if they are using nested comments; the nested comments don’t come up only the main thread ones.
Makes these comments useless. Get rid of them. Or avoid them, I think I will in future, even if it means the bother of scolling back up all the time to the ridiculously placed top comment box to do so.

Was our resident Nazi at the genocidal Jew hating far-left riot today in Melbourne? Was he throwing excrement and bricks at the police and their horses?
If he wasn’t, perhaps our Nazi could condemn the ‘far-left’ violence in Melbourne today?
For those who’ve forgotten (I haven’t), only four weeks ago our Nazi was pontificating and tut tutting about the violence in the UK after Southport and smearing everyone involved as ‘far-right’.
Or could it be that our Nazi is selective about violence he approves of as opposed to violence he doesn’t approve of?
Why, yes, yes it could (and, indeed, is).
Oh so predictable from our gutter press.
Watching Trump in a debate is extremely frustrating because of two failings which make him a poor debater: limited vocabulary and poor focus. A scattergun approach laced with hyperbole is often the result
Even his sincere passion can be something he trips over
I only hope American voters can discern Real from Fake
I don’t recall Donald Trump ever winning a debate.
Come to think of it, I don’t recall any Liberal leader here in this country, be it Howard, Abbott, Turdbull or Scumbag ever winning a debate, yet all four went on to win elections, two in a landslide.
I don’t take pre-election debates seriously anymore. Once upon a time I did but I stopped taking them seriously decades ago. They’re deliberately stacked against any right of centre candidate.
Having said that, I think Harris will win in November. I truly hope I’m wrong, and if that happens it’ll be lights out….permanently.
Tend to agree Cassie.
It really wasn’t a debate given the actions of the so-called moderator.
Unfortunately the Democrats will cheat again and get away with it, unless Trump of the GOP have some tricks up their sleeves to counter it (but I doubt it).
Cassie, I gave you an uptick for your first para then took it away for your last para.
Not wanting to put the wood on Trump, but I must believe he will win because the alternative does not bear thinking about. If I am wrong, I will deal with it then, but it hasn’t happened yet, so there is no point (for me) in pre spending anguish.
Media declares Joy Harris the winner against Angry Trump?
Why, I’m shocked! Shocked!

I have to admit, Calli, that I’m soooo surprised the media have declared Harris the winner.
Totally unexpected.

Police defend actions, claim protesters used acidBy Tom CowiePolice have defended their use of force at today’s anti-war rally, saying that they won’t tolerate the behaviour of protesters who break the law.
In a day of violent clashes, police used foam baton rounds, also known as “bean bag rounds”, flashbang grenades and pepper spray on protesters outside the Land Forces expo at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said police had been pelted with missiles, including bottles filled with liquid, rocks, and horse manure whilst trying to protect the attendees of the expo.
“Some police have been spat at by protesters, whilst other officers have been sprayed with a liquid irritant, some of which has been identified as acid,” they said.
Thirty-three people were arrested for various offences, including assaulting police, obstructing police, hindering police, arson, assault and blocking roadways.
Police said 24 officers had required medical attention.
“Victoria Police is appalled at the behaviour of some of the protesters in attendance at the Land Forces protest in Melbourne’s CBD this morning,” said the spokesperson.
Police horses had missiles thrown at them, according to the spokesperson, however none were seriously injured.
No police horses seriously injured. That’s all good.
Trump missed a few opportunities to plaster the stupid cow. She droned on with that nasally sound of her voice, how terrible it was for Trump to have dealt with the Taliban. In the next breath, she’s offering statehood to Gaza run by a terror organization.

‘Which river, which sea?’: Protest leader confused by anti-Israel catch cry
The organiser behind the Students for Palestine group involved in the violent anti-Israel protests in Melbourne says it’s “irrelevant” that she doesn’t know which sea the controversial catchcry is referring to.

A leader of the Students for Palestine group has blamed tiredness for naming the wrong sea in the controversial anti-Israel mantra.
In an embarrassing interview on 3AW, Deakin University student Renee Nayef was asked if she and fellow protesters had been chanting “from the river to the sea Palestine will be free” catchcry during this morning’s violent rally.
Proudly declaring that they had, Ms Nayef was then asked which river and which she thought the chant referred to.
She quickly answered: “the Jordan River and the Red Sea”.
3AW presenter Tom Elliott then corrected Ms Nayef, stating the pro-Palestine slogan called for freedom from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.
The phrase “from the river to the sea” refers to the geographic area between the Jordan River in the east and the Mediterranean Sea in the west, which today includes Israel and the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories of West Bank and Gaza.
The Red Sea is south of Israel.
But she just looks so COOL in her Pali headscarf!
The lady is the student suspended from University over her protests, and then reinstated.
That is NO lady.
It’s Deakin Uni, keep expectations low.

“The Democrats and Hamas are hard to distinguish.”
After seeing footage of the tunnels the six murdered hostages were held in, I have to disagree.
Indeed.
The Democrats and Hamas might not be hard to distinguish, but the actions of the Democrats have descended a long way down the barrel in our lifetime. The rule of law in the USA is now pretty meaningless. Assassination of political rivals might not be new, exactly, but it has reappeared.
Wow looking at the footage from the protest I at least grudgingly accord VicPol for being consistent. Consistently brutal. I think the feral fools thought they were going to get a free ride on this one like BLM or other left lockdown protests and just cause carnage.

Fact Check: Harris Claims Trump Told Putin He Could Do Whatever He Wants (breitbart.com)
The cackling c..t is lying. In fact obama told Medvedev putin could do what he wanted; and he did; he invaded Crimea:

Disgraced Indigenous leader Geoff Clark has rolled out a who’s who list of world leaders in an attempt to showcase his good character as he faces jail for stealing almost $1 million from Aboriginal groups.
The former Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission chair’s legal counsel has outlined in the County Court his interactions with the likes of Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama, as well as Australian prime ministers in a bid to reduce his punishment.
Clark, 72, faced a pre-sentencing hearing on Wednesday after he was found guilty of 25 offences – 17 counts of theft, four of obtaining financial advantage by deception, two of perjury and one each of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and give false testimony – following three separate trials between October and May.
The court heard Clark, once Australia’s most senior Aboriginal leader, had stolen some $922,000 from Kirrae Whurrong Community Inc, Maar Land Council and Framlingham Aboriginal Trust over 15 years.
He was also convicted of illegally accepting royalties from eel fishermen, and lying to the Federal Court when applying for bankruptcy in 2009.
Clark had always declared he did nothing wrong, but his lawyer Simon Kenny said the jury verdicts had been “acknowledged” and conceded the offending involved a “breach of trust” to Clark’s community.
Mr Kenny portrayed his client as a man who faced disadvantage and racism as a child, and has dedicated his life to advocating for Aboriginal people.
“He experienced the disadvantage that Aboriginal people experienced in the years that he was a child … and he fought against that,” Mr Kenny said.
“He has dedicated his life to fight against that.
“The racism he faced as a young man strengthened his sense of identity and pride as an Aboriginal man.
“His contributions are many and varied.”
He outlined a who’s who list of people Clark had associated with over the years, including meeting Nelson Mandela on a trip to South Africa and three meetings with the Dalai Lama in Melbourne and overseas.
“He has met and worked with many very senior people across the world,” Mr Kenny said.
He has also attended Kirribilli House with numerous Australian prime ministers “many times”, Mr Kenny said, and pointed out Greens candidate and proud Gunnaikurnai woman Marjorie Thorpe was in court to support him.
Ms Thorpe was also among 27 people who provided written character references to the court, but they were not read out.
In somewhat of an explanation for his offending, Mr Kenny stated: “Those funds didn’t go to funding a lavish lifestyle or anything like that.
“Mr Clark had legal fees that had to be paid.”
A large proportion of the stolen cash was used to pay for Clark to fight civil and criminal court proceedings brought against him over rape allegations and a pub brawl, the court heard.
A civil jury found that he led two pack rapes against a teenage girl in the 1970s but he was never charged of a criminal offence in relation to the allegations.
He was also convicted if obstructing police following the affray at Warrnambool’s Criterion Hotel.
Clark also illegally obtained funds from the Framlingham Aboriginal Trust to pay his household expenses, including rates and electricity bills.
The prosecution said it would not make any application for remuneration orders as its attempts to contact each of the entities duped had fallen on deaf ears.
The pre-sentencing hearing before Judge Michael O’Connell continues on Thursday.
Herald-Sun with no comment allowed of course
The use of acid, projectiles and the targeting of police horses by anti-war protesters is a disgusting low among a group of demonstrators who have lost their moral compass.

Anti-militarist, my great fat aunt they’re anti-militarist.
I had a choice between Megyn Kelly, Patrick Bet David and Tim Pool for commentary on the debate. Megyn has 300,000 more views than the other 2.
I went with Megyn as she has actually been a debate moderator before. Plus I find her analysis very good.
Only caught first several minutes so far but all about the bias of the moderators. Said head of ABC news was the guy who introduced Harris to her husband and it was clearly Trump v 3. Far from happy and says Republicans must never let it happen again.
Had a look at Powerline and has an article up saying Trump lost according to Powerline guys friends and relatives. He is not a Trump fan.
Gotta go. I can sense Pavlov’s Dog is about to appear. Woof woof.
Megyn Kelly YouTube for the mentally handicapped canine.
The cackling bitch also lied about the fine people hoax, the bloodbath hoax and further claimed puttie would control Ukraine now if Trump were POTUS. It’s remarkable how this BS about Trump being in puttie’s pocket persists when Trump was the only one to take on puttie and bombed his Syrian air field.
Anyway the kunt lied from arse to pillow and was allowed to get away with it by the moderators.
If the bitch wins, we’re all rooted.
“Shot up the arse like a garden sparrow” (H/T my late Dad) And sadly I think that will be our/their fate.
Everything Kamala stated at the debate was a lie. She is a true child of evil.
The J6 prisoners in DC gulag are hostages, held in horrible conditions and given insufficient nutrition, facilities and contact
I’m pretty sure the conditions the January 6 prisoners are held in are not like what Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alexander Lobanov, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Eden Yerushalmi and Ori Danino endured.
Eden Yerushalmi weighed 36 kilograms before she was murdered.
The J6 prisoners are however held by the government of a Republic with a Bill of Rights and a Constitution and democratic trimmings, not a criminal gang, although it is difficult to tell nowadays.
I didn’t say they were held in similar conditions. I did perhaps exaggerate that Democrats are similar to Hamas – the disregard for truth and justice plus extreme disregard for fair elections is appalling however, and the treatment of the people who merely wandered around that day has been extraordinary.
Because it’s VicPlod, care factor nil.
Acid? Probably just the demonstrators taking the piss (pub intended).
But is nice to see VicPlod actually do something about a far left demo,.
Taking my own advice here. This is ‘nested’ somewhere below:
Nested comments ruin the thread because they miss being read and also you can’t do a ‘control F’ on someone’s name if they are using nested comments; the nested comments don’t come up only the main thread ones.
Makes these comments useless. Get rid of them. Or avoid them, I think I will in future, even if it means the bother of scolling back up all the time to the ridiculously placed top comment box to do so.

Cohenite:
Middle class women will probably go for Kamala. She did the near-weepy female thing about abortion and various other ‘soft’ issues. The whole debate effort, including the interviewers’ contribution, was concentrated on appearing cool and rational, above anger and hysterics, ‘putting up with’ an old has been, and thus to make Trump appear to be floundering and tub-thumping, and a yesterday’s man. She kept repeating her rehearsed phrasing around that theme and used her little exasperated facial expessions to reinforce her butter wouldn’t melt in her sweet little mouth approach.
She’s dangerous. Highly schoolable and a very malleable puppet.
Sounds like Taylor Swift’s really branching out! “Cackles and Tampon Tim” might be the weirdest album yet,
“Some skank called taylor swift has endorsed cackles and tampon tim”
Not a great worry. Half her audience won’t bother going out to vote. Those who do would be Democrat voters anyway.
Much like the anti-nuke marches of the 1960s-80s.
The placement of 20000 Haitians with 60000 citizens of Springfield Ohio must be one of worst policy disasters I have ever seen. It hasn’t been done over 5, 10, 15 years etc but in just over 2 years. Imagine putting 20000 Haitians in Rockhampton or Mackay. There would be uproar. F… the Cats, Dogs, Ducks and Geese how about the poor people who live there.

Didn’t Albanese also have ‘a plan’? We know how that worked out. Hitler and Stalin each had ‘a plan’, in fact Stalin had one every five years.
Everyone has a ‘plan’. It’s a meaningless statement.
Politicians have positions on issues, policies and intended actions, not inchoate ‘plans’.
Because the Germans were so much more efficient, they had 4 year plans 🙂
Appears to be a Democrat town.
Not that I wish this fate upon them, but surely some “learnings” to be had here.
I don’t use my phone much for blogging, only when waiting for Hairy today in the Dentist’s surgery, so I don’t do fancy things on it when commenting. (He’s ok, the tooth’s out, and he’s in my loving care. Risk of death was one of the dire things he had to sign he was informed about before they took him in.)
Having decided not to use the reply function I am simply running my little mouse up and down the sidebar at a furious pace to get to the comment box, then hitting refresh to bring down the comment. Wearing mousie out, poor little thing. His wheel is already coming loose and has lost a bit of the plastic grip covering it.
New mouse may be forced into being by my decision. Shame. I am fond of my current little fellow but a dying mouse is a dying mouse. Can’t get sentimental.
Quite so – the comment box used to be at the bottom of the page – this going back and forth is as tedious as Kamala’s lying.

To the silly witch at the anti-war demo, with the Pali headscarf…
It’s how the American left think or and treat the “deplorables”. The coarseness is at another level.
But is nice to see VicPlod actually do something about a far left demo,.
yes it is

Correct- fart boy slim (Beazley) used to talk about ‘my plan’. Dark days ahead if that foul wimmin wins.
judging by today’s riots in Melbourne I think we need to worry more about far left extremists than far right extremists.
The Victoriastan dial-a-swampy crowd should never get the benefit of the doubt. Good opportunity for VicPlod to practise their baton charge.

Meanwhile Sky News reports:
King Charles and Queen Camilla will no longer use the term “walkabout” to describe their interactions with the public over fears the word is a form of cultural appropriation.
Saw their program in the media somewhere this morning. The usual Albo-inspired round of “significant cultural events”. Chaz must get fairly sick of them when all he really wants is a good Aussie BBQ.
I though Chaz was vegetarian nowadays.
God I hate Albo and his advisors. It was the whitefellas that came up with the term to describe the blackfella practice of buggering off for extended periods
If we used some blackfella word, then it would be cultural appropriation
How in hell can the English language using English words be anything to do with aboriginal cultural misappropriation. If anything the Aborigines are misappropriating western culture be wearing their clothes, driving their cars, speaking their language, flying in their planes, using their money, schools, hospitals, roads, shops, processed foods etc…

There is far more to the demo in Melbourne. The politicians allowed it to go ahead. They could have stopped it. Why? They are up to something.

The main issue in the USA was ignored in the debate. You still have a federal budget deficit of $1.5 trillion with total debt of $35 trillion. The interest paid on this debt is over $1 trillion per annum. For the deficit to be financed money becomes unavailable to the private sector. Growth stagnates with core inflation higher than historical norms. The US like all western countries are in serious decline.
The Rise of the “Expertocracy”
I’m getting a bit tired of people saying Harris was great – when she lied all through the 90 minutes.
She told those people the lies they wanted to hear.
Indeed.
The elephant in the room.
Re the Melbourne demonstration. I fail to understand how, in Sydney, the police have managed to identify, one by one, each of the Christians who came to the support of the Bishop who got stabbed. Yet NOT ONE of the Opera House protesters has been charged, and apart from the 33 or so thugs captured today, I don’t expect they will identify and charge any of the other sneaky perps who were throwing objects and tearing down barricades.
They are all on multiple video recordings. And tomorrow is supposed to be a repeat !
Not sure why Trump even agreed to debate the slag with US corporate meja running it.
Exactly, Kamala’s husband is besties with a Disney exec who apparently is at or near the top of the food chain at ABC. I was unaware of that till Megan Kelly informed me, google searches confirm the Trump camp were aware & a week ago making displeasing noises about.
WTF did his team would think happen, she obviously knew the questions prior, mikes weren’t muted as agreed & the moderation was downright hostile to Trump.
Trump’s judgement has been suspect in the past and again here questionable…

COVID vax: Some batches increase your all-cause mortality by 9X or more.
I kept no record of this, but I recall that when the building blocks began to tumble, some statistical work was done in New Zealand and released. Now my husbands forbears lived in Cromwell, South Island. The statistical figures for Cromwell re the vax was something incredibly high eg population of say 200 jabbed, and 50% dead within a year. If his greats and grandmother were living there at the time they would probably be dead. Next year when we visit I will do a bit of conversational research.
Andrew Bolt: New evidence exposes Pat Eatock’s tall tale
Thirteen years ago Pat Eatock sat in a courtroom and claimed I had intimidated, humiliated and insulted her by writing she was a “white Aboriginal”. If only I’d known then I’d been stitched up.
Thirteen years ago, Pat Eatock sat in a courtroom and told Justice Mordy Bromberg a tall tale which he used to ban two of my articles which I considered a shocking attack on our free speech.
Eatock, a socialist activist who died in 2015, had told Bromberg I had intimidated, humiliated and insulted her by writing she was a “white Aboriginal” who’d chosen to call herself Aboriginal when she plainly had other choices.
Eatock’s barrister, former judge Ron Merkel, then read out her statement.
“I am an Aboriginal person with Aboriginal ancestry.
“My grandmother, Lucy Eatock, was born in Carnarvon Gorge in central Queensland in 1874. This is an Aboriginal birthing place … She was one of the Kirri people.
“My grandmother’s mother was an Aboriginal woman called Kitty …
“My grandmother’s husband, my grandfather, was an Aboriginal man, Bill Eatock.”
“Dark Emu Exposed” strike again. Seems the lady had no Aboriginal heritage at all…..
Every one of those Eatock claims I quoted are false. None of Eatock’s ancestors was Aboriginal.
Her grandmother Lucy wasn’t born in an “Aboriginal birthing place” in Carnarvon Gorge, but at her parent’s home in Springsure, 180km away, according to her birth certificate.
That certificate also shows Lucy’s mother wasn’t an Aboriginal woman called Kitty, but a Scottish woman, Jane, who was attended at the birth by a doctor and midwife.
Lucy looked not Aboriginal but like a carbon copy of Jane, as photos show.
There is no known “Kirri” tribe, nor record of any “Kitty”, who seems an invention inspired by a Tongan girl called Lizzie or Tacrow, taken in by Lucy’s parents for a few years after Lucy’s birth.
Nor was Eatock’s grandfather Bill an Aboriginal. Eatock made a false conclusion from the colour of his skin.
In fact, the genealogists found a missing birth certificate showing Bill’s father was Richard Rose, who came from St Vincent and the Grenadines, in the West Indies, and had a brief affair with a married white woman.
Rose turned out to be the son of a British slave-owner and, almost certainly, an African slave called Harriet. He inherited some money when his father died, and sailed to Australia to become Eatock’s “Aboriginal” ancestor.
In fact, Eatock’s genealogy shows she should never have been allowed to bring her case against me. She had no legal standing, not being Aboriginal I was right to say she’d just chosen to be one.
And the judge, it seems, was inadvertently misled.
Mordy Bromberg, wrecking ball of a nation, “inadvertently misled”?
Say it ain’t so!
I am shocked and chagrined.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CC5D__dIZZY
Did the judge want to be misled?
And all of this would have been discoverable 13 years ago.
What the heck was his legal team doing?
Bolt does say he blames himself for not pushing his legal team hard enough, and the cross examination of Eatock stopped where it should have started.
It’s not his fault.
This was the core of his defence.
That they weren’t across it begs some questions.
Be interesting to see if the Hun allows comments…
Which they are…

JC, did you see where Matt/Martin is in full anti-Trump rant mode on C.L.’s blog tonight?
Wow, words fail.
Will be interesting to see what others thought about the debate but I’ll just say this; That was 3 vs 1.
What a shitshow.
And even Sheridan thinks that the one came out ahead.
It was more than just 3 v 1, Trump was instructed not to be combative and give Kamala any reason to claim he bullied her. This certainly curtailed his usual ebullience and kept him from calling her out on her outrageous lies.

Hey Monst, fatboy
As someone who identifies as a lesbian in full transition, I’m curious about your thoughts on Tim Wlaz’s decision to install tampon dispensers in boys’ bathrooms in schools. I’d love to hear your take on it.
mOnster and his ilk would have found them incredibly useful back in their youth. They could have stuck them in their ears to block out their classmates taunts of “dork” and “shut up you obese donut eating fucktard”. Of course he supports it.
Yep.
100% they called that first debate early on in order to spear the sniffer.
Opinion: Debate night: Just another night of Kamala Harris dodging substantive questions
Trump should have won that debate in the first 10 seconds.
Kamala walked over, shook his hand and said “Hi, I’m Kamala Harris”.
The correct answer for Trump was this;
”Hi, I’m NOT Joe Biden. No need to introduce yourself. I know who you are”.
Game Over.

In 2016, Labor Senator Kimberley Kitching, said she was “very surprised” when Justice Bromberg decided to hear the Bolt case, given that “He was an active ALP person, he was active enough that he was in a faction, he ran for preselection… Obviously he would have had some views about [Andrew Bolt], and perhaps he was not the best person to hear [the] case.” Bromberg had run unsuccessfully for Labor preselection in Melbourne in 2001.[5]

At least the new NT leader, Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro has the right direction:
Sweeping changes for public service under CLP (msn.com)
The CLP has also scrapped several ministries that existed under Labor including Minister for climate change and Minister for Treaty.
Two of Bromberg’s cases, from Wiki. He’d be a mate of Bolta, sure thing:
In a 2021 case, Sharma v Minister for the Environment, Bromberg ruled that the federal Minister for the Environment had a duty of care, arising from the law of negligence, to protect children from climate change when considering whether to approve projects under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. Bromberg did not grant the injunction sought by the plaintiffs, a group of teenagers, who sought to bar the minister from approving an extension to the Vickery coal mine owned by Whitehaven Coal.
Bromberg’s ruling was unanimously overturned on appeal to the full bench of the Federal Court of Australia in 2022, with Chief Justice James Allsop stating government policy should be determined by the government and not by the courts.
In April 2023, a Federal Court ruling determined in favour of the native title application lodged by Anangu seven years earlier for around 10,000 km2 (3,900 sq mi) of pastoral lease land in the Northern Territory, that includes Erldunda, Lyndavale, and Curtin Springs cattle stations. This was the first recognition of commercial rights in Central Australia, and was handed down by Bromberg at a gathering in the remote community of Imanpa.
He’s letting that news soak in.

Any of the bush lawyers on this blog help out? What recourse, if any does Bolt have?
None. She’s dead.
Any of the bush lawyers on this blog help out? What recourse, if any does Bolt have?
Rewrite the articles and press the point. Bromberg is a prick, an activist judge.
This is what pisses me off about Orange Man. If he’d been properly prepared for the debate instead of winging it then he’d have known murder is illegal in every state of the union and nobody will believe his baby killing story. It’s just such an obvious lie. Just shooting himself in the foot.
Same with the Haitians eating pets in Springfield. Firstly the only person in this convo who cited a source was m0nty and it features neo nazis being the source. Secondly, even if it were true, it’s too far ahead of the Overton Window for it to work for Trump, so it works against him to say it. Again, where was the sensible prep?
I haven’t watched the debate but from the Cats’ reactions and the Sky summary it seems Trump did not win it. And there’s still time for Speshul-K to make more gains – if the Dems can fill out those joyful claims with substantive plans.
What Trump said was true – Michigan? ( state starting with M) if a baby is born alive during abortion, then no comfort is given and baby left to die in kidney dish.
isn’t a bloke named Gisnel in jail for performing late term abortions?
Congress tried to introduce a care act where babies born alive during abortion would receive comfort, but Dems voted against it.
That supports the point I (and the moderator) was making.
The moderator is a cock head.
Don’t be like the moderator.
It was Minnesota.
It’s 8 instances since 2019, still sounds like the exception not the rule.
KamalToe lied all night.
Perhaps it was just a contest on who lied the least.
This nonsense is not technically a lie if Trump really believes it. But it is nonsense. Surely you concede that?
Sure, there will be a spike in the CPI. On the other hand he’s also talking about doing massive deregulation across all areas of the economy. He’s also talking about opening the spigot for energy production.
On more important topics.
Their ABC has produced, possibly (in a crowded field) the worst electric television broadcast production in the history of worst.
Honestly, don’t watch it (whatever the bride suggests) – it is brain damage that Albanese should be trying to ban.
Instead, drop acid and watch replays of Rayburn’s inspirational performances.
WRT Mordi Bromberg, when he played a few games for the Saints he was what Jack Dyer would have called “a fair average footballer”
As a judge, not even that.
I have a new slogan for Kamalala’s campaign:
”I eat pussies and I stand with Her”.
Like, appealing to lesbians of all genders and Haitians.
Betting odds on 2024 presidential race take a dramatic turn after Harris-Trump debate

Why didn’t Bolt appeal the judgment back in 2011? We all knew it was seriously flawed. Was the decision not to appeal Bromberg’s decision Bolt’s or News Limited’s?
Look, I’m glad Bolt has found his mojo over what was done to him thirteen years ago. It was a travesty, a stitch up, and many of us knew it.

So am I.
Very hard to find info for some reason.
Justice Bromberg has had consistently poor judgements since being elevated to the bench. Regrettable not many have been appealed and those that have from a little research have mostly been overturned.
Proof that the purported checks and balances only work one way, when the Judicial arm is checking the legislative or executive arm. Not saying it should be used willy nilly but there are some woeful jurists out there and the cost to appeal anything even from the magistrates court is prohibitive/time consuming that most decline to pursue.
Parliament also needs to do it’s job and pass laws to balance the over-reaches of the bench. If justices under perform or stray outside their remit that’s up to parliament to correct too. Closest I saw any parliament in my lifetime come to disciplining a judge was O’Shane then they squibbed at the last moment.
Just a layman’s observation anyway.
I heard it at the time that it was mostly Bolt’s decision because News Ltd was very lukewarm about it and he was afraid to lose his job on top of it all.
He explained it again years later, probably could be found in the archives.
Other journalists were being laid off at the time. Bolt thought News funding an appeal would not be a good look.
Regarding the abortion issue in the debate.
Some may have missed the story in Oz a couple of weeks ago. A Adelaide Uni lecturer / researcher looked into abortion in Australia. She found that there were several cases where babies were aborted but came out alive and were basically left to die without any help. She was suspended by the Uni and took the csse to court and won. Can’t remember her name.
Trump used the word execution but did not explain well what he was talking about.
Have read and listened to plenty about the debate. Clearly the moderators were on Harris side and this was easily seen. However Trump should have been well aware of that likelihood and preparation therefore more important knowing that. Commentators have said Harris prepared well and had plenty of lines of attack ready to go.
.
I made the comment before the debate that Trump should mention the Haitians. This is because it was being mentioned so much and there was the eating pets angle. It appears he was posting about that prior to the debate.
I don’t know the truth of the eating stories and saw a mention that JD Vance, from that state, had walked back on the story. However 20,000 Haitians being added to a population of 60,000 is a big enough story to emphasis the problem of out of control immigration. With those numbers they could soon have control over leadership positions in the city just like Somalians have in Minnisota.
“In response, Trump repeated a past lie that some US states allowed abortion “at nine months” or following birth, before defending his stance on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.”

Fact checking the fact checkers….
https://hersmartchoice.com/blog/are-partial-birth-abortions-legal/
It’s “illegal” but with the usual caveat you can drive a truck full of dead babies through…
How does the law currently stand on partial birth abortions in the United States ?Partial birth abortions are a hot button issue in the United States legal system. Currently, the nationwide law concerning partial birth abortions is that they are only permitted if necessary to save a pregnant woman’s life
Then segues seamlessly into convenience as a life threatening issue.
It’s crap, most people support abortion as a regrettable, but necessary thing to be performed ASAP.
Yet the legbeard brigade won’t rest till they can abort 2 year Olds.
No tampon dispensers were installed in boys bathrooms. It’s a myth.
There are many reasons why your mob
is losing, JC, this is but one of them. You believe in the most ridiculous lies.
Trump going with the Haitian cat eating thing was another huge mistake. Say hasta manana to the GOP Hispanic vote.
Trump and Vance just can’t help spewing racist and sexist rubbish, day after day.
You can’t have it both ways. You can’t simultaneously pander to a tiny minority and the silly women using them for social browny points; AND complain that your detractors are really the whackos.
Especially when what you have done is written into legislation.
mOnster is pretending that “wet markets” don’t exist.
Colour me blind. These people would eat the arse out of a low flying menstruating duck given the chance.
Having said that, mOnster might actually have a point. Ridiculous lies spread by Democrats. Trump fell for it.
IIRC, Haitians speak French, or a derivative of it. Why should this affect Hispanics?
“You adore strongmen instead of caring about democracy.” -Harris

It goes back to Trump’s reputation as an isolationist. It’s why he wouldn’t answer yes/no to the yes/no question of whether Ukraine should win the war. He may have a deal to end the war, but at what cost to principle?
All wars are stupid failures of deterrence.
You know what would be funny.
Dropping Monty of Malmo into the ,” little Cuba” part of new York so he can tell the dusky denizens there that Haitians are Hispanic
Is this Monty’s ” well they all look alike” moment?
Still waiting for his finally right about something moment.
Haiti is on the island of Hispaniola. Ergo Haitians are Hispanic.
Again, seeing this explained to actual Latin Hispanics will be awesome
The “new” facts about the Bolt case and Plibbers s10 decision might make the Courts a little more sceptical about the claims of our Indigenous friends. All too often they are taken as non justiciable and everyone proceeds on that basis. Might be time for a rethink.
Impossible for me to forget her name, as I’ve had the misfortune to encounter her work IRL. Joanna Howe.
She’s a hard-core Roman Catholic, to the nth degree. In every other way she gives a credible impression of being to the left of Harris/Biden.
It would be justice were her razzing by the uni to have been stressful, upsetting, traumatic, financially debilitating, etc.
Yes Monty ‘Hispanics’ love Haitians to pieces, just ask a Domenican.
They’re being ably assisted by the administration. It’s the attempt to create a one party state.
I’ll put my hand up first. I’ve never eaten a cat or a dog. Knowingly.
I rarely, if ever, go down to a duck pond in the local park and start cutting their throats and plucking them. At least not in daylight hours. It’s not as if you “sneak up” on them. You shoot the bastards, Elmer Fudd style. No knife involved.
And why the hell are people stringing Cats in trees and gutting them like a Deer? There is no comparison. As a butchers son, none of that makes any sense.
Neither is the fact “illegals” wouldn’t just go to McDonalds with a knife, rather than wade around a pond with a knife clenched between their teeth?
The answer is simple. It’s a bullshit story. Manufactured.
Gutting Cats and decapitating ducks. Seriously?
No wonder Kamala smiled and chuckled. Trumps sons are “hunters”. But of course we all know better, as do the pundits. Nothing matters outside of the cities. Until the bread supply runs out.
Fun discussion on Sky News The Late Debate last night. Joe Hildebrand earning his keep for once. He pointed out that Kamala breathlessly held on to the word ‘actually’ for support on countless occasions, sometimes five times in the one response. Shows she was nervous. He also noted her up-rising intonations and the three little confirmatory nods she made after each one of those, indicating again her uncertainty. Liz Storer was very very strong for Trump, pointing out how the ‘cat’ scenario would pull in those amused by the viral vids of it, noting that Trump got his main points in again and again in spite of the moderators trying to field him away from them.
Kamala won imho in the ‘best facial expressions’ stakes though. Trump seemed rather wooden and that came over as resigned. He needs to practice his expressions, using some of those incredulous ones he used when Joe Biden was speaking. This debate style depends very much on the non-verbal visuals being used as a calculated response, which Kamala-the-actress handled well (and of course the camera obliginging hit on visuals of Kamala much more often).
