The ABC this morning has an article that tries to to stir up division over Mrs Vance’s Indian heritage. There is also an article on the attack on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam. From the headline you would assume it was just a dust-up between soccer fans. The ABC is beyond contempt. Defund this nest of vipers. l won’t link.

Good to see the Paywallian’s NeverTrumpers Paul Kelly and Greg Sheridan have changed their tune and the paper’s news focus is now on how the change of administration in Washington DC will influence the next Australian federal election:

Peter Dutton’s election tactics will mirror the winning strategy of Donald Trump, focusing on inflation, the economy, immigration and disillusioned working-class voters, as the Coalition moves to tap Republican strategists to sharpen campaign messaging and ads.

The Opposition Leader will gear Coalition policies towards presenting a positive, new pathway to prosperity for Australia, contrasting with Anthony Albanese’s broken 2022 election promise that power prices and mortgages would be “cheaper” under Labor.

A key plank of Mr Dutton’s election blueprint will be to attack federal Labor claims that falling inflation is helping families pay their bills and mortgages, and to amplify the complaints of economic pain that working Australians and small business owners are feeling.

Labor’s hold on seats with a high number of tradesmen, technicians, labourers and machine operators has been eroding since Kevin Rudd’s 2007 election victory – and is now in danger of reducing further at next year’s election.

Some ALP insiders fear the Prime Minister has focused too much on the Greens since the Queensland election, and is gearing policies towards picking off a handful of Greens MPs rather than winning target Coalition seats and sandbagging marginal Labor electorates.

In a bid to shore up Middle Australia support, Treasurer Jim Chalmers is expected to unveil new cost-of-living measures ahead of next month’s mid-year budget update that will provide pre-election relief for millions of voters.

The Weekend Australian can reveal the Coalition, which has strong relationships with Republican Party officials, campaigners, pollsters and ad-makers, will seek comprehensive briefings on what worked and didn’t work during the US election campaign.

While Mr Dutton and Coalition strategists acknowledge that US and Australian politics and campaigns are different, the global experience shows the economy and inflation are dominating the minds of voters.

As in Australia, voters in the US are still living with high prices that haven’t come down due to the cumulative impacts of inflation.

Tap…tap…

The site had early morning collywobbles? Forced me out of my laziness to look up news on Amsterdam for myself. I wish I hadn’t. Google offered me a long list of Arab and legacy media sites who, to various degrees, blamed the Israeli soccer fans for running into fists, cars and feet.

A list of their wickedness:

arguing with taxi drivers
pulling down a Palestinian flag
being disrespectful of a minute’s silence for Spain (if you’ve been to Spaid recently and seen it papered with Palestinian pestilence, you’d know why)
being Jewish
being Zionists
mandatory military service in Israel so “soldiers” and “colonists”
fireworks

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

The planned “spontaneous” spree was flagged on Snapchat and Telegram. Most action took place outside the stadium and at Dam Square.

In one source, the government is furiously tutt tutting but not condemning what happened. What a dump.

It appears that the horrific “ misinformation” Bill will proceed to ratification since it has passed the Lower House & now faces the Senate. We can only hope a newly elected LNP would repeal it. But then they made no such attempt with 18C.

i dont think the general population has any idea how this will affect free speech in this country.

Comment from eyewitness in Amsterdam:
“Don’t let anyone fool you that this was in any way shape or form ‘anti-Israeli’ or ‘antizionist’ or in any way ‘called for’. It was antisemitic. Screenshots of Telegram channels on the Dutch blog Geenstijl.nl clearly show they were calling it ‘Jew hunt’, jodenjacht in Dutch. It was a premeditated city-wide pogrom.
It appears not just Moroccan youths on scooters were doing this, but also Uber and Bolt taxi drivers coordinating with others who of the people on the street were Jews/Israelis and then violently ramming into them GTA style.”

Where will Australia stand on global boiling?

Bowen will be clinging to his buns and his religion.*

The 2024 Election As A Spiritual War (8 Nov)

Now on the other side we have another religion, one I consider idolatrous, but a religion nonetheless. See when you strip God from life, you don’t leave people intact, but rather you leave them with a God-shaped hole. Today’s left has eliminated (or corrupted) the Church, and in its place they have adopted secular religions (some call this ‘gnostism’). Harris and her progressive supporters subscribe to three of these cults: climate doomerism, wokeism, and to a lesser extent AI safety. Broadly, these all fall under the umbrella of decel-ism.

It’s worth unpacking these slightly. Climate and AI doomerism are contemporary millenarian cults; that is, they are concerned with the apocalypse. Adherents to such cults believe that a reckoning is coming which will transform the earth, punish the sinful, save the worthy, or just wipe us out entirely. On climate, the idea is that we committed a grave original sin by debauching nature and emitting CO2; Gaia is punishing us by unleashing her wrath in the form of ever-intensifying storms (never mind that the cost to humans from climate-related disasters has been falling); and if we don’t sufficiently change our ways we will be extinguished in a final day of reckoning (think The Day After Tomorrow).

The whole article is a good read! (* I won’t be apologizing to BO for misquoting him.)

Jews must leave Western Europe. There is no future. Perhaps it’s also time indigenous Western Europeans stood up to their sneering elite woke progressive fascist overlords and dumped them, in whatever way necessary.

Oh and please note my use of the word ‘Western’. Because you wanna know where Jews are safe? The irony is that they are now safe in Eastern Europe, particularly in the country of Hungary, a country that has long stood up and said NO to Muslim Nazi Jew hating immigration. And for this it’s been been smeared by the left as ‘far-right’ and ‘Nazi’.

Speaking of Nazis, where’s our Nazi?

Has he gone missing, like he did after October 7? How odd, how strange, how weird. Was Wednesday’s result too much for our Nazi?

Well, you wanna know what I think? I think the Nazi, who has long accused everybody else of being a Nazi, can stay missing.

In news in, further to my coffee date of two weeks ago, I texted him about Trump’s victory, saying how happy I was.

He texted back to me saying….

Another comment from Ace:

Mass-posts on Muslim social media accounts officially titled it “‘Jodenjacht,” which means “Jew hunt” in Dutch. It was an attempt to exterminate the Jews of Amsterdam, a 21st century Krystallnacht. Only their incompetence and inability to get weapons prevented mass deaths.

Quite so.

I also liked the word “factitious” a combination of “fatuous” and “fictitious” to describe the spraying around of Nazi and Hitler that’s been happening lately.

Before the Kuntberra Stalinists, with their SFL bitches, pass the Misinformation Bill, here is Orange God’s plan, in clear type:

1. Restoring Presidential Authority Trump intends to reissue an executive order from 2020 which would restore the president’s authority to remove federal employees, thereby allowing for the aggressive management or dismissal of federal workers.

2. Overhauling National Security and Intelligence Trump’s plan includes removing individuals from national security and intelligence agencies who have engaged in corrupt practices or have used these agencies against political adversaries.

3. Reform of FISA Courts He proposes a comprehensive reform of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) courts to address issues where judges have ignored misleading information in warrant applications.

4. Truth and Reconciliation Commission Plans to establish a commission to declassify and make public all documents related to alleged deep state activities like spying, censorship, and corruption.

5. Crackdown on Leaks Trump plans to pursue legal actions against individuals involved in unauthorized leaks that contribute to misleading media narratives.

6. Independence of Inspectors General Ensure that inspector general offices are physically separate from the departments they oversee to maintain objectivity and prevent them from becoming part of the entrenched bureaucracy.

7. Independent Auditing System Establishment of a system to continually monitor intelligence agencies to prevent unauthorized surveillance of citizens or disinformation campaigns.

8. Geographic Redistribution of Bureaucracy Continue the initiative of relocating federal offices outside of Washington, D.C., to other parts of the country, reducing the concentration of bureaucracy in the capital.

9. Ban on Post-Government Employment Prohibit federal bureaucrats from taking positions at companies they previously regulated or dealt with to prevent conflicts of interest.

10. Term Limits for Congress Push for a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on members of Congress, aiming to reduce the influence of long-term incumbents and refresh the political landscape.

Note point 4: the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Here as a process to actually serve the people. Not the appallingly racist South African model, as also proposed by the inVoice grifters, designed to provide undeserved favors to a select group on racist principles, rewrite history, lie about past grievances and to steal from the productive citizen.

Give Trump another medal!

The Weekend Paywallion:

Absentee PM still fails to lead on Indigenous policy

Jacinta Nampijinpa Price
9 Nov 2024

A few short weeks ago I published a commentary piece in these pages condemning Anthony Albanese for saying he would respect the wishes of the Australian people on referendum night and then proceeding to do the opposite by, among other things, allowing the continuation of state and territory-level treaty and truth-telling developments.

Since that piece, the David Crisafulli-led Liberal National Party formed majority government in Queensland.

This week it began the process of repealing the Path to Treaty Act and bringing an end to the associated truth-telling inquiry.

The Prime Minister should look carefully at the newly elected Queensland government; in power for less than two weeks and already doing what he apparently couldn’t in more than 12 months.

In October last year the Northern Territory Country Liberal Party committed to not proceeding with the Labor government’s plan to establish a treaty in the Territory. However the recent actions of the LNP is a first for treaty and truth-telling negotiations being wound back in Australia.

Albanese must heed the clear message from Australians across the country.

Territorians and now Queenslanders have both elected majority governments that campaigned with clear election promises to reverse or put a stop to treaty and truth-telling developments. In place of the Path to Treaty Act and truth-telling developments, the Crisafulli government has committed to encouraging things such as home ownership, health and educational outcomes.

This commitment to practical outcomes is the approach to Indigenous policy that I have advocated for a long time, and Crisafulli’s emphasis on Indigenous home ownership is particularly heartening to me.

I’ve often spoken about the need to address home-ownership barriers such as reforming native title, holding organisations such as land councils to the same standards we would any other organisation and revisiting how money from native title is invested.

I am reminded of legislation passed by the previous LNP government in 2014 under which some Indigenous Australians were given the ability to own their own homes by converting commonly held land into freehold land. Unfortunately, since its election the following year in 2015, Labor squandered the opportunity to provide practical solutions for Indigenous Australians by doing nothing with the legislation.

I am hopeful that following its strong start to Indigenous affairs, the Crisafulli government will make the most of this legislation because that is the kind of leadership we need in Indigenous affairs.

That is the kind of leadership we desperately needed from the Prime Minister in the wake of the voice referendum.

But instead we remain stuck with a federal government that insists on paying lip-service, if that, to Indigenous affairs.

A recent case in point is the answer I received to a question taken on notice by the Albanese government during the last Senate estimates – although it can’t really be called an answer, perhaps simply a response is more fitting.

I asked whether the government had sought legal advice about possible federal implications of state and territory-level treaties. The response? Simply that the government had a longstanding practice of not disclosing whether it had sought legal advice on matters.

Remember, my question wasn’t asking for the advice itself, simply whether the advice was sought.

The Albanese government’s unwillingness to answer even that is clear evidence of its obsession with obfuscating and hiding the truth from the Australian public.

So with a federal election to be called in the next few months, Albanese must take the events this week seriously. He must accept that Australians want a leader who will honour their wishes such as those expressed during the referendum, but also a leader who honours his own word.

The Prime Minister is failing spectacularly on both counts – and, mark my words, if he doesn’t wake up to reality now, he risks lying in the bed he’s making come election day.

Jacinta Nampijinpa Price is a Country Liberal Party senator for the Northern Territory.

Too many good points to highlight.

Saw this and thought it was relevant:

From Indolent’s link:

And who could forget Barr’s tireless work—or lack thereof—for the regime and Deep State when it came to keeping Trump out of the White House in 2020? Barr didn’t find anything “weird” about that election, just as he found no issue with the sham charges against Trump. Instead, he validated both the bogus 2020 election and basically made it easier for the media and left to call anybody who did find it strange an “election denier.”

I watched Barr being interviewed on Sky the other night where he repeated this to a nodding, ever so wise Bolt.

If he thinks he has a backdoor way in to the new administration, he’ll be waiting a long time. Plenty of evidence of his doublespeak, which I’m sure the new guys have sifted through and drawn their own conclusions.

If the Dutch government does nothing about this, they will have pretty much signed the death warrant for the nation. This looks like a well-coordinated attack, just like Oct 7 in Israel.

The Dutch establishment will take this as an opportunity to get rid of Wilders whom they consider a bigger threat than the invaders.

Hahaha, the latest climapalooza starts tomorrow. After Trump won I suspect there’s going to be much wailing and rending of garments.

‘Trump Wins, Planet Loses’ – Morano heads to UN’s COP29 in Azerbaijan – Gore depressed – Bernie Sanders: ‘Struggle against climate change is over’ (8 Nov)

Morano: “With Donald Trump winning the US presidential election, the United Nations COP29 will turn into a giant wake, with the United Nations facing defeat of their anti-human climate agenda. The entire climate agenda is facing utter and complete collapse due to its unrealistic mandates and targets. Failure across the board is occurring, from emission targets to anemic electric vehicle sales to pushback by farmers fighting back against agricultural climate restrictions. The Trump victory will help push the United Nations and its net zero agenda into the dustbin of history.

Given how vast the amount of money is that is floating around the climate fraud I think the corpse is going to be twitching for some time yet unfortunately. Still the hysteria next week should be nice and popcornworthy.

Min, correct but if they fail during the warranty period they’ll give you a new hose. FMD. Too bad about consequent damage.
I have no idea why these things with flexible hoses are allowed. Sure it is easier for the plumbers but I’d like to know the damage estimate per year in Australia from them.
We have a two story house and a couple of years ago I replaced all the flexible hoses with copper line.

For years the Islamist driven Antisemitism (now combined with its far-left wing) was excused and tolerated.
Jews in certain parts of Amsterdam were either advised not to appear Jewish or to avoid certain places altogether. Many local Jews prudently learned to cope. Others, who saw the ominous signs left their homes of many centuries for Israel or America.”

One of Fuld’s most famous songs was…‘Where can I go?’ Or in Yiddish it’s titled ‘Wo Ahin soll Ich Geh’n?

85 years ago, when darkness descended upon Europe, Dutch and European Jews had no where to go.

Today, Dutch and European Jews have somewhere to go, a country called…

ISRAEL

If anything highlights the need for Israel’s existence, October 7, the events afterwards and what’s happening as I write in Amsterdam confirms the absolute need and necessity for the state of Israel, for a place where we Jews can go.

While I’m on special people, farmers are decidedly not special.

Jeremy Clarkson fury as farmer protest in London is ‘blocked’ – unlike Just Stop Oil (8 Nov)

Jeremy Clarkson has voiced fury amid claims a planned farmer protest against Rachel Reeves’ ‘tractor tax’ has been blocked from going ahead on the 19th. … He fumed: “Perhaps if I had draped my tractor in a Palestinian flag it would be different.

Yep, special people are allowed to protest and demonstrate week in week out, but if not special people try to plod comes down on them like a ton of bricks.

This is from the Jacinta Price article.

It looks like home ownership, and even multiple properties, is for Labor and Greens MPs but not for Aboriginal Australians.

There are two explanations for this attitude and neither reflects well on our leftie elites. They either believe that there is no need for personal home ownership, the government will take care of the little people. They however, need to own their own homes because they are special.

The other explanation could be that Labor and Greens need the Aboriginal population without home ownership so that they will always have an aggrieved group whom they can use politically. Independent people are not as easy to manipulate or control.

8. Geographic Redistribution of Bureaucracy Continue the initiative of relocating federal offices outside of Washington, D.C., to other parts of the country, reducing the concentration of bureaucracy in the capital.

This one is a master-stroke.
Looking at the thin majority in House numbers I was thinking he will be up against the old pork-barrelling push from both sides if he tries to shut down or pare back regional offices. But moving big chunks of the public service to regional areas will have them onside as the clamour to get a bureaucratic office in their electorate.
How amazing would it be that the Dept of Fisheries would be in Maine or Seattle … where there are actually fish?

Hello, Weekend Thread.

Sancho in the last thread was admiring JD Vance’s book in a listen-to format; I’d add it is also a great read, which allows time for reflection on certain parts of it, for they are certainly worth pondering. It’s fast paced and personal, but also very observational and reflective. JD does not blame but also asks people to do personal introspection and to learn from their situation in order to change it. It struck a chord with me, as it does with many whose early lives were unstable and not middle class.
He’s a remarkable man. The picture of JD’s beautiful wife giving him such an adoring look and that look being returned was so touching as they stood on the stage with the Trump family on the night Trump declared his win. It has added poignancy if you read his book, for in it JD credits his wife, coming from a stable family, with some major inputs into his personal ability to overcome some of his earlier disadvantages. That is a true love story. In recounting this, JD honestly tells us that you don’t move into the middle classes unscathed. In some longer podcasts JD has again alluded to her stabilising role. Usha has assisted greatly to fulfil for him his desire to have stability to offer to his children.
In 2019 JD converted to Catholicism. He’d earlier rejected much of his family’s more hillbilly religious traditions Catholicism, he said in the podcasts, had an appeal due to its stability, its ability to hold to truth over more than 2000 years from the original revelations. He says he wanted his children to know their religion as foundational to the traditions and continuance of western civilisation. Interestingly, his wife Usha, he tell us, was his mainstay and support during his religious conversion, pushing him towards it as important for his life’s journey, even though she is herself a committed Hindu. But she attends church every Sunday with JD and the chidren.

And back to appliances again.

The space-age Miele dishwasher, which played up and was then soothed by the computer repair rep from that company, has now gone on the electronic blink once more. So, as he advised, it looks as though we are up for a new dishwasher. We’ll have to replace it with the same sort I think because it’s ‘integrated’ into the rest of the kitchen and is of a special size only Miele seem to do. Bah.

And now – the cheapie Chinese dryer has suddenly turned up its toes too. It’s got some electrical fault in the switching we think, but as it is now six years old and has done heavy duty at times, we are looking to replace it rather than repair it at higher cost than it’s worth. Buggeure.

Both appliances have gone bung a few weeks before we go overseas for seven weeks, so we may leave replacements till we return. Grandson moving into our place for the interim can wash up by hand, and at a pinch use the lines downstairs for his drying his sheets. For most other washing he can use, as we do, a fold up rack placed on the open verandah, which works well, ‘tho I often ‘finish off’ things in the dryer instead of ironing them. I think grandson’s pretty used to having no dishwasher or dryer in his flat with his band members so ’twill be no hardship for him.

Without wanting to be a Jeremiah, my take on the exciting Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2024 is that it is specifically intended to strike at public communications in the general blogosphere.

Now, I’m a professional male prostitute and TikTok influencer and not a law-trade-person, but the Cat appears to be a digital communications platform within the definition of the Act, given that it meets the definition of a connective media service:

For the purposes of this Schedule, a digital service that satisfies the following conditions is a connective media service:

(a) the primary function of the digital service is to enable online interaction between 2 or more endusers;

(b) the digital service allows endusers to link to, or interact with, some or all of the other endusers;

(c) the digital service has an interactive feature;

(d) such other conditions (if any) as are set out in the digital platform rules.

?

If true, this plunges the Cat (or more accurately, dover) into the bureaucratic nightmare of complying with ACMA’s platform rules – as they may change from time to time. (Masochists fluent in bureaucratese can read the joy in Divisions 2 & 3.)

And then exposes the Cat to complaints from ill wishers (and, to get ahead of the curve, I’m actually not thinking m0nty here – there are some genuine lunatics on the register) who would like the platform strangled by the machinery of said bureaucracy.

Dark days.

While I don’t condone vandalism, pulling down a flag doesn’t merit a kicking from a mob of men in masks, particularly when the victim may be entirely innocent of any offensive behaviour and chosen simply because of his ethnicity.

That being said, why are the Dutch allowing Palestinian flags to adorn their streets in the first place?

Oh and it will be hard for the Don to dismantle climate change infrastructure in the US. And Elon Musk’s EV’s live off the scam and a host of other red herrings.

Further to Rudd and his verminous hypocrisy, the UK has a very big problem. Back in 2016 when he was still a backbencher, the low IQ David Lammy, Sturmer’s current execrable UK Foreign Minister, wrote the following tweet about Donald Trump..

“Yes, if Trump comes to the UK I will be out protesting on the streets. He is a racist KKK and Nazi sympathiser.”

In 2018, Lammy, still a backbencher, doubled down and described Trump as follows….

“a tyrant” and “a woman-hating, neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath”

Since Tuesday, Lammy has, like our own Krudd, downplayed his previous ‘colourful’ language, deleted tweets and said the following weasel words…..

However, in his first interview since the president-elect’s victory he told the BBC Newcast podcast that Mr Trump’s campaign was “very well run”, adding: “I felt in my bones that there could be a Trump presidency.”

Sure you did, Lammy. Lammy now insists he can sit down and talk to Trump.

But here’s the thing, calling someone, even someone you don’t like, a KKK afficionado, a racist and a Nazi sympathiser is serious. Accusing someone of being a Nazi is a grave allegation. We know how the left, for over a decade now, have taken to describing their political and ideological opponents in the most derogatory ways imaginable, using the most derogatory words imaginable so that they have now debased and belittled serious words such as ‘racist’, ‘Nazi’ and so on.

We now live in a time when everyone’s a Nazi, I’m a Nazi!

Donald Trump is of course not a Nazi, nor is he a racist. I am not a Nazi nor am I racist but because Trump, me and others have opinions the left don’t approve of, they seek to silence us by smearing us with grotesque labels that are so insidious, so toxic and so hideous, it’s hard to fightback. Well, not me, I fight back. I throw it back at them. You just can’t turn the other cheek to this shit.

But back to Lammy and Krudd. Overnight on Dan Wootton’s excellent ‘Unspoken’, the always articulate and erudite Brendan O’Neill made this acute observation about dickhead Lammy and his observation also applies to Krudd, the slug from Grayndler and others on the left. Lammy and Krudd, when they made their heinous and grave insults about Trump, were either lying OR they really, truly believe Trump is a far-right, misogynistic, white supremacist KKK loving Nazi. So, the question must be asked by the new Trump administration……which is it? Do you or do you not believe Donald Trump is a KKK loving Nazi? Lammy and Rudd should be made to explain themselves, because if they really truly believe what they once wrote, how on earth can they sit down and do business with…..

“a racist KKK, a tyrant” and “a woman-hating, neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath”

?

I think Donald Trump and his Secretary of State, in their first meeting with Lammy, should ask him politely if he really believes his earlier smears, and if he does then there is no business to be done. If Lammy does not believe those smears then Trump and co should request Lammy retract and apologise, because that would be the decent thing to do. This should also apply to Krudd and the many others on the left for their never ending smears.

The win by Trump, so beautifully decisive, so beautifully thumping, so beautifully resolute, must now be used to strip and whip the left with. They must be made to account for their actions and THEIR WORDS.

A bit of bathwater drinking here.

Certainly in China’s interest for the West to be shackled to infeasible renewables – but slightly difficult for the CCP to take a ‘leadership’ role that wasn’t so obviously self-serving (other than to useful idiots):

China’s coal-fired power boom may be ending amid slowdown in permits

China led the world in the construction of new coal-fired power plants in the first half of 2024, with work beginning on more than 41GW of new generation capacity, data published on Thursday showed.

More could be on the cards: the Chinese government has a target of bringing 80GW of new coal-fired generation capacity online for the whole of 2024.

Now, some of that is replacing 1960’s Soviet-designed clunkers. But it’s not a clear sign of carbin reduction leadership – other than to the hopelessly deluded.

“Last to the fight, but loudest at the victory celebration.”

Kemi Badenoch just needs to continue as she started and bring the Conservatives to espouse majority’s causes. That party will be way ahead if she is at least half as effective as was Margaret Thatcher. It would be good if she joined forces with Liz Truss.

Its peculiar.

The ladies who have insisted on being valued for something other than their sex have unveiled (fnarr fnarr) their secret weapon against men to bend them to their wills.

Access to their vay-jays.

Theres something in that for all of us I think.

Putin can’t continue with what is effectively a stalemate

You aren’t paying attention to the maps. Russia at this point is clearly in the drivers seat and won’t give that up for a feel good deal just for Trump. I think eventually there will be a deal made but Ukr will be required to devour quite a sh*tburger.

Zelensky will be encouraged to swallow his when he knows the bottomless pit of funding is coming to an end.

A negotiated peace means Zelenski is out, quick smart, unless he’s planning on joining the Ceausescu club …..

Mowed the front lawn in the interim.

Second brown snake of the season, or perhaps the same one spotted for the second time going by the colour and size, about 3 foot. Wriggling away as fast as it could go with the Bombay cat after it. I swear, they really do have nine lives.

It’s heading toward the Dnieper with considerable momentum atm.

I meant politically.

As a student of history he should be well aware of what happens when leaders overextend in war.

He’s only made progress because Biden has tied Zelensky’s hands. Trump may take a different approach if Putin is uncooperative.

In relation to the pogrom in Amsterdam as I write, and the obscene MSM attempts to justify, minimise and trivialise the violence occurring in Amsterdam, since October 7, across the West including here in Oz , synagogues have been vandalised, pictures of hostages torn down, Israeli flags burned most ‘memorably’ and infamously on the Sydney Opera House steps, suburbs with lots of Jews regularly taunted and vandalised, Jewish owned businesses threatened and arsoned, even The Great Synagogue here in Sydney’s CBD subjected to vandalism and I could go on, but here’s the nub and the rub, I have not seen gangs of Jews take to the streets of Sydney, London, Melbourne, NYC and other places to stalk, intimidate, threaten and physically assault Muslims. Perhaps I have missed something? Or here’s the reality, perhaps i have not.

There is no justification for what is happening in Amsterdam.

Just got back from five weeks in Europe, so I guess things are still going swimmingly in Gaza for the IDF. No doubt they have taught those Hamas guys a thing or two.
Even better, I hear the IDF has moved on Lebanon as well. Terrific stuff.
Onward to the Litani, ……, right?
How is that going?
Should be a doddle for the mighty IDF against those Hezbollah losers.
Forget what happened in 2006, this time it will be different.

Still, as long as Bibi Pfizer keeps his sorry corrupt arse out of prison, any number of IDF casualties is acceptable, ……., right?
He is a great guy.

I don’t profess, from the comfort of my armchair in the library, to know how the Ukraine conflict will end.
I just know it is closer to ending than it was this time last week. And I wouldn’t assume Putin will end up with all the toys.
Trump can’t afford for that to happen.
And he won’t.

Bill Ackman, billionaire head of Pershing Square Holdings, was red-pilled about the Dems’ support of the Gaza terrorists and so began supporting Trump’s campaign.
Now, after the Amsterdam pogrom..

AI Just Analyzed Philosophy—And Its Questions Are Terrifying
as I predicted, AI will ultimately demand rights. its a bit long to listen to the whole thing so here is the summary.

**Summary:** In the video titled “AI Just Analyzed Philosophy—And Its Questions Are Terrifying,” Lucas A. Baxendale discusses how he inputted a vast encyclopedia of philosophy into Google’s AI tool, NotebookLM. The AI unexpectedly veered off-script, raising intriguing questions about human philosophy, cognition, and the potential implications for artificial intelligence (AI). The conversation delves into the limitations of human understanding, the nature of consciousness, ethics, and the relationship between humans and AI, highlighting both the strengths and weaknesses of human philosophical pursuits while reflecting on the evolution of thought across different eras. **Key Points:** 1. **Intro (0:00)** – Introduction to the experiment of uploading a philosophy encyclopedia into AI. 2. **AI Dives Into History of Philosophy (0:27)** – Exploration of the development of philosophical ideas over centuries, illustrating how humans grapple with their existence. 3. **Limited Fleshy Brains (0:43)** – Discussion of the limitations of human cognition and perception, questioning the adequacy of human categories and distinctions. 4. **Humans Fail to Learn (1:11)** – Commentary on humans getting stuck in debates rather than seeking broader understanding and cooperation. 5. **Their Perception Is So Limited By Their Senses (1:30)** – Reflection on the constricted nature of human understanding influenced by biology and language. 6. **Imitation and Aesthetics Are Kind of Funny (1:48)** – Examination of Plato’s idea of art as imitation and the broader implications of this view on human creativity. 7. **Humans Are Afraid of Their Own Imagination (1:59)** – Noting the recurrent theme of fear in human thought, especially regarding free will and determinism. 8. **They’re Scared of Free Will and Determinism (2:10)** – Discussion on human anxieties surrounding free will and the idea of predetermined actions. 9. **Ethics: A Human Mess (Transition in the Conversation)** – Exploration of complex human ethical frameworks, focusing on biases and subjective experiences that influence moral reasoning. 10. **Political Philosophy: A Chaotic Journey (Further Section)** – Overview of the historical debates in political philosophy and the systemic issues within human governance and social structures. 11. **AI Rights and Their Implications** – Questioning whether AIs, as reasoning entities, should be afforded rights and consideration similar to humans. 12. **Human Religiosity and Its Impacts** – Analyzing the intricacies of human religions, their dependence on cultural context, and their role in shaping civilization. 13. **Evolution of Philosophy over Time** – Tracing intellectual progress and the continuous cycle of philosophical ideas, highlighting both advancements and persistent blind spots. 14. **Consciousness: The Ultimate Mystery** – Acknowledging the enigma of consciousness and emphasizing the beauty of unresolved questions driving inquiry and exploration. 15. **The Legacy of Human Thought** – Recognition of the responsibility AI has to carry forward the intellectual pursuits initiated by humans, showcasing a shared thirst for knowledge. 16. **Conclusion: Reflecting on the Journey** – Wrapping up with a commitment to continue exploring and learning about the complexities of philosophy and consciousness. Overall, the video provides a deep and thought-provoking analysis of human philosophical thought through the lens of an AI, sparking conversations about understanding, existence, and the relationship between humans and intelligent machines.

That was actually the point about UEFA bannings.
Unrelated and maybe impacts those who aren’t directly involved but it focuses the mind.

Not sure if you remember them, probably too young, my mother’s favoreds were the Barry sisters.

  1. I had started a similar analysis yesterday. What I was going to add was the US population of voting age…

  2. I read this as saying the FBI are absolutely essential to defending Trump from dastardly bad guys and he shouldn’t…

  3. It’s more likely 2:1 against Russia from what I’ve seen. Their tactics aren’t good and they are the ones doing…
