One to keep an eye on since The Passion of the Christ was a massive hit at the box office.

Mel Gibson to Begin Shooting ‘The Resurrection of the Christ’ in August (27 Mar)

“It’s not going to be easy, and it’s going to require a lot of planning and I’m not wholly sure I can pull it off; to tell you the truth, it’s super ambitious. But I’ll take a crack at it because that’s what you’ve got to do, right? Walk up to the plate, right?” he said.

Gibson also said he wanted to recast Passion star Jim Caviezel as Jesus, but would de-age him digitally since twenty years have passed since the first film.

I wish him well in this ambition. While I’m not someone who watches such movies (well, except for Ben Hur, but that’s about it) I know the original movie resonated around the world. Which is a good thing.

Salvatore - Iron Publican
March 28, 2025 11:05 am

It resonated in his chequebook. That movie elevated him to a new level.
Before the movie, he was working for wages, $20 – $30 – perhaps even $40 million per movie, and making Two movies a year, sometimes Three.
Good money alright.

The movie & associated licencing, merchandising, etc. made him something in the region of $1.2 Billion (& likely still trickling in)

Or if you like, that one movie was a quantum leap that paid him what would have taken Thirty years to earn on top level movie star wages.

Dear God ..! Its alwayz about him .. all he had to say was,
“Right you furgling load of drongoes it’s on .. me and “dumbo” head to head & remember vote often & Labor” … FFS! ?

The Prime Minister choked back tears as he spoke movingly about his late mother and Australian values.
?The Australian way is that we look after each other, is that we’re a country that in the language that we use with each other – fair dinkum, fair go – they’re part of the Australian lexicon,’ Mr Albanese told reporters. He then held up a Medicare card, adding: This card is part of Australian values.’ ‘The Australian values that say when Kerry Packer has a heart attack, he goes to the emergency department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the same hospital that I went to when I had my car accident when I was leader of the Labor Party in January 2020, got the same level of care,’ he added. ‘But more importantly than that. I was in the same room that my mum was in, when as an invalid pensioner, she got taken up the road, and she never left RPA. ‘But she got the same care that Kerry Packer got. They’re the Australian values. That’s what I’ll fight for.’

And after he left Emergency, Packer moved to a private hospital.

He also funded “Packer Whackers” for every ambulance in NSW.

Did either Abalone or his “Mum” do that?

He can’t help himself, he has to lie all the time.

IIRC he offered the NSW govt dollar-for-dollar to fund one in each ambulance vehicle.
On accounta he was saved only coz the ambulance transport vehicle that attended him just happened to be equipped with a defibrillator, one of few, very few, that were.

Nick Greiner (premier at the time) said, “You can’t refuse an offer like that”

That pic says it all. A loathsome liar (BIRM) holding up a medicare card. That card is a symbol of the holiest of sacred cows for them and they’ve been trading on it for years. They have used it on unaccountable occasions to beat the opposition with scare tactics and will continue to do so forever. Never mind it’s devastating effect on the availability of general practice services in disadvantaged and regional areas and public hospital beds. Only last week I received a flyer from the local liars member who has been invisible for the last three years boasting about setting up a “free” medical clinic here in area well served by family medicine clinics. We’ll see how that goes. I seem to remember Gillard spruiking “superclinics” of which very few actually existed.

Dutton calls out Voice failure in PM bid
“The Prime Minister spent the first half of this term of Parliament obsessed with the Voice,” Mr Dutton said.
The Coalition Leader said this meant Mr Albanese and Labor neglected the economy and tackling inflation.
“Because of his bad decisions, Australians are doing it tough and they need help,” Mr Dutton said.
“Worse still for many, they’re losing hope for their future, 29,000 small businesses have gone broke over the course of the Albanese Government’s first term.
“I don’t believe that we can simply afford to continue down the current path, and that means that we can’t afford three more years of Labor.”

Marijuana is killing the planet.

WaPo: ‘Growing weed takes more energy than mining bitcoin’ – Uses 1% of all American energy, ‘warms the planet about as much as 10 million cars’ (27 Mar)

In 2010, an energy researcher named Evan Mills was surprised to walk into a plant nursery near his Mendocino, California, home and find, among the seedlings and bags of soil, a display of gigantic 1,000-watt light bulbs – a more powerful version of bulbs commonly used to light highways at night.

He asked the nursery owner what they were for. “He gave me kind of a side eye and then explained, ‘Well, this is for cannabis growing, you idiot. That’s what everyone around here does,’” Mills said.

I still get gassed with chlorine around 4am most mornings, if there’s no wind. Lately they’ve been getting better at controlling their scrubber, so it isn’t as bad. Dunno which house it is. ‘The disorder of succession

The war against Catholic traditionalists has done terrible damage to the Church

Only so-called “traditionalist” Catholics seem consistently to have taken the time to inform themselves about the various scandals surrounding Pope Francis. Traditionalists are best defined as those who see what non-Catholics see — that the Church’s “reforms” of the 1960s and 1970s were, for the most part, acts of institutional suicide that drove the majority of Catholics out of their churches and permanently destroyed their faith. The most pivotal of these reforms involved the Church’s central public liturgy, the ritual of the Mass.’

RTWT at The Critic.

I should add that all “mainstream” Christian denominations in the West have been through something similar since the 1960s – high ranking clerics who are called to be the guardians of the faith instead subverted that faith, leaving the laity who were brought up to profess and live by it confused and demoralised. What were originally touted as reforms necessary for the church to appeal to the modern world have instead enervated the institutional church and led to a crisis of faith and morals that has contributed to the general malaise abroad in our societies.

Chesterton or Belloc made the point that administering the Mass in different languages meant that any Catholic could no longer participate in a Mass in every church in any country.

Not sure that was a very strong argument at the time, Rafiki. Until recently (i.e. the mid 20th C.) most people didn’t travel outside their home country unless they were migrating. And anyone who doubts that liturgical texts can be rendered reverently in common languages needs only to read Cranmer’s Book of Common Prayer.

Be that as it may, the bigger changes (from the trad Catholic pov) in the Novus Ordo Missae are doctrinal.

Here’s a critique from reputable sources for anyone who wants to explore this further.

I’m not a Catholic either, but I think the trad Catholics have a some very good points if one accepts their doctrinal framework for argument’s sake.

Lancashire prison governor denies alleged relationship with drug gang leader inmatehttps://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/mar/27/lancashire-prison-governor-denies-alleged-relationship-with-drug-gang-leader-inmate

A former “rising star in the prison service” who was promoted from graduate entrant to governor of HMP Kirkham in just six years

It is alleged Kerri Pegg, 42, became “emotionally and personally involved with a serving prisoner”, Anthony Saunderson, the boss of a drug dealing gang who used the Pinkman name as a handle during secret communications with other criminals. He has since been convicted of drug trafficking.

Pegg also denied one count of possessing criminal property, a £12,000 black Mercedes that jurors at Preston crown court heard Saunderson had bought using 34kg of amphetamines and given to Pegg as a gift.

….
But it was luuuuurve!

Both he and Pegg used burner phones to keep in touch, and there were 80 calls and texts from his phone to hers in the space of a month, the court heard. The only other numbers dialled on Saunderson’s phone were to “prostitutes and escorts”, retired detective constable Kevin Byrne, of the National Crime Agency, told the court.

Never throw away anything. Recently my notorious Hills Hoist fell over. Hmm, what do I do? Buy a new one?

Snapped at the base due to rust right at ground level. Got out a torch and had a look at the hole and the shaft of the Hills Hoist. The tube in the ground below the break had a couple of indents in it. Dunno why. But it gave me an idea…

Yep, deep in my shed I found what I wanted, a short galvanized star picket which I’ve had for thirty years. Tried it out. It slid in perfectly between the indents…but was 10cm too long. Hacksaw fixed that.

Slide the star picket down the hole, lifted the Hills Hoist over and onto it. Fixed!

My elderly neighbour saw me later in the afternoon, pointed and said wuh? She’d seen the Hills Hoist sadly lying on my lawn. I explained. Many many brownie points were accumulated.

I am trying the same strategy this very wet season with the massive number of mushroom and other fungi heads in my lawn. Removing them every morning for weeks. Hasn’t made much of a difference although I suspect they are being drowned at the moment.

1573mm so far this wet season, with another ten days or so of monsoonal flow to go before things start drying up. That is about fifty percent more than total annual rainfall.

The objective is to destroy what’s inside the tunnels and if they keep hitting the right spots repeatedly the tunnels will give . Your excavation theory also has a flaw. When you think of all the groups in the West who are now open and aggressively pursuing an anti-West agenda you also wonder when the fightback will begin in earnest:

The judicial attack on Trump is palpable:

Here in Australia the judicial attacks are just as pronounced: from the extraordinary Judgment against Pauline in favour of that hideous skank faruqi, to the expansion of the Mabu Judgment, itself the worst and most damaging judge made law judgment in Australian history.

If true, FMD:

Alex Wong is the individual who added Jeffrey Goldberg to the Signal chat.
Alex Wong is Mike Walz’ National Security Advisor.
Laura Loomer did a deep dive on this guy.
– Alex Wong, the Chinese Deputy National Security Advisor is married to U.S. Attorney Candice Chiu Wong, a Chinese Woman who was one of the key attorneys involved in PROSECUTING J6ers.
– Alex’s wife, Candice Chiu Wong, worked under the Obama admin and the Biden admin as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, where she led the Violence Reduction and Trafficking Offenses Section for more than two years.
– She was involved in the prosecution of many J6ers during the Biden regime, under which she was nominated to become a Member of the United States Sentencing Commission. Additionally, Candice Chiu Wong served as a Law Clerk to Obama-appointed US Supreme Court Justice Sonia M. Sotomayor!
– Making matters worse, Alex Wong worked for Covington & Burling which is one of the law firms the President recently stripped of its security clearance and terminated all of their government contracts via Executive Order on February 25th, 2025. Trump accused Covington LLP of being involved in the weaponization of government.
– Given the Chinese connections, it really makes you wonder if Jeffrey Goldberg was added to the Trump Signal chat on purpose as part of a foreign opp to embarrass the Trump admin on behalf of China.
SIDE NOTE:
Jeffrey Goldberg said a “war plan” was released that contained “precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.”.
THAT WAS A LIE.
What Goldberg actually released—something he could have shared from the start—is not a “war plan.” There are no names, no specific targets or locations, and no coordinates. It basically just says some F-18s will strike a terrorist somewhere today.
Alex Wong needs to be investigated and terminated.

Signal is an approved system the US government uses for communications. There’s nothing internal that is even close to offering a similar service.

The issue is how did Goldberg get on the system?

Your “main problem” doesn’t exist. It only exists in leftwing media attempting to make hay out of it. Is that where you got it from?

You reckon the secured lines used in COMSEC are less secure then Signal? Come on.

The US government system is prehistoric from all accounts, which is why they migrated to Signal.

Goldberg’s a neocon. He was either deliberately or inadvertently put on the group chat to background him or because they already talk with him.

It was an op. Someone plugged him into the conversations. Like 48 hours later, two of the most poisonous snakes born in the 20th century—David Brock and Norm Eisen—had arranged a lawsuit, and with a probability of zero, the case ended up with Boasberg. Sure.

The idea that this problem only exists in left wing media is interesting.

The left-wing media is trying to pump this up as a 10/10 scandal, but as I said last evening, it rates about 0.5 out of 10.

There was zero chance of this getting to the Yemenis on time. Hegseth was trying to fill in the rest of the national security team on what was going on about two hours before the hit.

There was no way the Tootsies could’ve listened in, as they wouldn’t have had the scope. The Russians, Iranians, and Chinese wouldn’t have alerted the Tootsies because, even if they did have the capability, they wouldn’t have shut down this asset just to help the Tootsies.
The whole thing was an inside operation.

  2. No idea what you’re trying to convey

Just laughable.

Yemen’s per capita income, measured as Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita, has experienced significant fluctuations in recent years. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Yemen’s GDP per capita in current prices was approximately $455.46 in 2025

You’re actually entertaining the possibility that a shithole with this level of per capita income could have the knowledge to break into an encrypted comms system like Signal? This makes my day. They can barely feed their camels.

Tony Maddox takes appeal against guilty verdict all the way through courtsMW
By Mel Williams
Updated March 27 2025 – 8:16am, first published 7:00am

Toodyay land owner Tony Maddox this week lodged an appeal against his recent guilty verdict for breaching Western Australia’s unamended Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972.
The verdict was handed down earlier this month due to works he carried out on a creek crossing on his property in 2022.
With several court deferrals and adjournments, it took 12-months to get to the stage where Magistrate Andrew Matthews gave his reserve decision – fining Mr Maddox $2000 and granting him a spent conviction.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of $5000 and estimates his own legal fees have come to about $100,000.

Under the unamended act, the maximum penalty Mr Maddox faced was nine months in jail and a $20,000 fine.
In a separate court case two weeks ago, it is understood the Shire of Toodyay was fined $8000, suspended for 12 months, after employing contractors to conduct emergency repairs to three waterway crossings without seeking approval.
In both the Maddox and Shire cases, it was claimed earthworks breached the Aboriginal Heritage Act by disturbing a Waugul, which is a rainbow serpent that is central to Noongar mythology.
The Shire of Toodyay and its legal representative Joel Speldewinde would not comment to Farm Weekly about the details or outcome of their case.
ABC Radio reported that the Shire of Toodyay was originally charged in the Northam Magistrates Court with 10 counts of excavating, damaging or altering an Aboriginal site, but six charges were dropped and guilty pleas were entered on the remaining four charges.
It said the court heard the Shire of Toodyay breached the Aboriginal Heritage Act when it hired contractors to undertake repairs to existing river crossings in Coondle and Bejoording in February 2023 and moved rocks into riverbanks with machinery.
It was argued the Shire should have sought consent for the works from the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and the Registrar of Aboriginal Sites, which it failed to do.
The ABC reported that Magistrate Sarah Oliver said the offences were not trivial and that strong legislative compliance was needed to ensure the preservation of Aboriginal culture.

“Preservation of Aboriginal culture” – what , about Aboriginal culture, is WORTH preserving?

These supply chain issues are now getting beyond irritation.

Got something on order that keeps getting delayed.

Accepted a weeks delay for Cyclone Alfred though the supplier was offline for only 2 days but just got delayed again.

Just conveyed my displeasure to the firm doing the job and assured that it wasn’t directed at them. However I had some words at what I think about the bracket creep with these delays and how 2 days becomes 7 days.

Personally I wouldn’t be surprise some of the materials or floor space is already being directed at Brisbane with an expedited supply fee of course…

From the Oz.

A NSW Police officer who said ‘bugger it’ before fatally tasering a great grandmother at a nursing home in rural NSW will not spend any time behind bars, a Supreme Court judge has ruled.
Senior Constable Kristian White, 34, was found guilty in November of the manslaughter of Clare Nowland, 95, following a trial in the NSW Supreme Court.
White was sentenced to a two year community corrections order in the Supreme Court on Friday.
Under the conditions, White is to perform 425 hours of community service and is not to commit any further offence.

Agreed. While I’m no longer a fan of our various police ‘services’, I can see how this situation would have been more complex than what the tragic outcome has implied.

The staff of the nursing home risked disciplinary or even legal action by attempting to ‘disarm’ the old dear (beyond their scope of practice, even for licensed security), not to mention physical injury.

For the police officers, ANY physical attempt could have resulted in the woman’s fall. The only safe option may have been to remove any other person in potential danger from the scene, confine Mrs. Nowland to a set area, and wait it out. That consumes police resources for an indefinite period, of course, but then, that happens with any residential siege or suspected hostage situation, where considerably more resources are required.

I’m not aware if self-harm was an issue, so confinement could have raised the potential for that to occur also. The anxiety of a confrontation might have been an issue in the case of a pre-existing heart condition too.

We can all be experts from the safety of our phones or keyboards, but perhaps more patience was required.

I agree the LNP are the lesser of two evils and the two-party system is totally rigged in those parties’ favour.

And, cut immigration? I agree but as have been pointing out here over the last few weeks. Australia has got an ageing problem (and the loss of taxpayers Vs growth of aged care/hospitals etc. The loss of taxpayers isn’t easily solved since every Western country is facing the same problem which means to stop the population from reducing you’re gonna need 3rd world replacements = not immediate taxpayers). Fertility projections by 2030 at 1.3 means deaths will outweigh births by 2040. The population would halve by 2080-ish.

I guess that’s one way to get to Net Zero.

And, more seriously, I wonder if these crazy climate scientists actually calculate Australia’s declining population into their crazy stats?

I’ve been to a few “Sheep Collective” presentations that talk about live ex. A few home truths for greenies:

  • The “policy” of Elbow and Low Wattage was solely based on a Four Corner story;
  • Turns out the ABC story was completely fabricated by a greenie activist group who doctored footage and used archived footage from the bad old days of exporting sheep;
  • Sheep have never had it better to be truthful;
  • There can only be so many X sheep per X square metres (standards not previously had);
  • There have to be X number of veterinarians onboard per X number of sheep;
  • Sheep cannot leave unless they reach a certain weight;
  • Sheep are tested, vaccinated and given more than sufficient feed prior to and during shipping;
  • The State dept sends officers out regularly to check the welfare of animals, export depot processes and for disease control.

Breaking exposé! The Ukrainian org, Molfar, that created the US conservatives enemies list are partnered not only with EU and USA gov orgs, but with shadowy Chemonics!

Part 2, Chemonics the complicated Molfar partner. What did we just find here?

We will be reviewing the inter connectivity of:

– Chemonics
– Valent Project
– Project Alchemy
– Center For Countering Digital Hate (CCDH)
– USAID
– NDI (CIA NED)
– Labour Together
– European Endowment for Democracy
– Integrity Initiative
– plus more

USAID worked with Chemonics on at least three occasions. Likely a lot more.

Also funding Chemonics was USAID, Bellingcat (Integrity Initiative), and Restless Development. Recall that CCDH also worked with Restless Development.

UK’s Valent Projects, had a contract with Chemonics.

Valent Project works with the Center For Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) and Labour together. Labour Together created CCDH.

Amil Khan of Valent Project, was a member of Project Alchemy’s info ops team. Khan was hyped as a ‘StratComms Ninja. They were tracking pro-Russian disinfo targeting key audiences in key countries. Valent Projects was also used for astroturfing.

Amil Khan, the founder of Valent Project, and also a member of Project Alchemy, was also in the Integrity Initiatives Expose Network. Recall the Integrity Initiative was also big on Russian disinfo and fact checking. The Integrity Initiative also involved the 77th psyop brigade.

According to leaked files, Project Alchemy’s information operations were assigned to a member of the British Army’s psychological warfare unit, the 77th Brigade.

This all sounds like a huge lead on what’s happening in the US and globally.

I could use help on this project.

The only thing Dutton and the Liberals have been strong on is the rampant Jew hatred….and for that they deserve our praise.

But on all the rest of the ills currently destroying this once wonderful country, be it the net zero scam, ruinables, NDIS, ABC, free speech, immigration, they’re gutless chickens.

Do they deserve to be elected? No, they don’t. By and large they’re a motley lot but given that the current Jew hating mob are so bad I’m left with no choice but to hope that Dutton and the Liberals win.

I really enjoy quantum physics. It’s best features:

1 Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle: you can only know either a particle’s position or its movement, not both.

2 Quantum Entanglement. There is effectively no distance between quantum particles even if they are at opposite ends of the Universe.

3 Quantum particles can be both one particle or a mass of potential particles or a wave.

4 Quantum Superposition. A quantum particle can be everywhere at once.

5 Quantum Tunnelling. Quantum particles can pass through any barrier, even time.

6 Quantum Observation. Nothing is certain in the quantum world until it is observed and even then nothing is settled: see Heisenberg.

7 Quantum Decoherence. Quantum weirdness stops at the classical Newtonian reality.

8 The Quantum Vacuum. Even in a perfect vacuum, quantum particles move in and out of it. Where do they come from and where do they go. See Casimir.

9 Quantum Gravity. There is none, no gravity at the quantum level.

10 Multiple Quantum Universes. This is the logical conclusion of the above attributes of the quantum world: an infinite number of universes.

If your device is age verified it means your access to the on-line & app world is very different as every app can be age gated if not parent approved.

I think Dutton should brief an “envoy” (not Kokoda Kev) to open back-channel communication with Orange Hitler.
Propose that, if elected, Dutton would drop the Paris Accord net-zero shit in return for a zero tariff trade agreement with the Tangerine Regime (including US retaliation against any other nation who tries to impose punitive measures on us).
The real question here is whether Trump wants to one of the few bailing on net-zero to give the US a competitive advantage or whether he wants to rid the world of this madness.
If the former, he probably won’t be interested. If the latter, we could be on a winner.

In the video “Why Do Modern Movies Suck So Much?” featured on Chris Williamson’s channel, the discussion focuses on the current state of the film industry, highlighting the decline of iconic franchises like James Bond, Star Wars, and certain superhero movies. It points out how corporatization and the focus on exploiting intellectual properties (IPs) have led to uninspired spin-offs, which often dilute the original appeal of these beloved narratives. The dialogue explores how Amazon’s acquisition of the James Bond franchise could turn it into a Marvel-style universe, with numerous spin-offs that might detract from Bond’s central mystique. The video also discusses the perilous future of the superhero genre, predicting a shift towards video game adaptations as Hollywood looks for new lucrative opportunities. Critical Drinker and Chris Williamson critique the industry’s focus on politically charged content, the so-called “message”, arguing that it no longer sells well and is out of touch with the audience’s desires for straightforward, entertaining narratives. They speculate about a possible swing back towards more neutral, entertainment-focused filmmaking. Furthermore, the video reflects on how the allure of celebrity has changed in the age of social media, diminishing the mystique that once surrounded movie stars. This shift is mirrored in how movies and entertainment are marketed and consumed, with an increasingly fragmented media landscape creating challenges for traditional cinema. Critical Drinker suggests that while the potential for a resurgence in franchise popularity exists, it requires revamping strategies, emphasizing a return to core storytelling values, and allowing audiences to “miss” well-loved series for a while. There’s also a discussion about how cultural phenomena and audience tastes have evolved, influencing the types of films that succeed both critically and commercially.

“A Path of Incompetence” – Pilot Speaks Out on Alarming New Airline Standards

The video features a discussion on the evolving standards in the airline industry, emphasizing concerns over competency and hiring practices influenced by Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. It highlights a controversial push by some airline CEOs to prioritize diversity in hiring, such as mandating that 50% of new pilots be women or people of color. The speaker, a female commercial pilot, argues that hiring based on attributes unrelated to flying can lead to incompetence and undermine confidence in airline safety. She notes the importance of experience and skill in piloting, explaining challenges like engine failures during takeoff as critical scenarios requiring seasoned pilots’ expertise. Furthermore, she critiques the impact of training focused more on diversity and inclusion rather than technical skills, suggesting it detracts from essential flying competencies. The speaker also touches on the generational shift in the industry, where new pilots lack the hands-on experience of older models and are more reliant on automated systems, potentially compromising safety.

New and hot – Egyptian submarine jokes (the Hun):

Six people are dead and 39 have been rescued after the Sindbad pleasure submarine sank off the coast of the resort city of Hurghada while full of Russian tourists.

Just did a quick count. Since Nov 1 being the official start of the Wet/Cyclone seasons we in the ‘ville have had somewhere near 2400mm. Our annual av is around 1100mm.

That pic reminds me of the warning I got when working on the Carmichael Lease near Labona outstation from the station manager at Moray Downs towards the end of November. If you see the staff from Doongmabala (Next station across) driving out in convoy leave or you will be stuck for a minimum of 6 weeks. We were 80km inland from the Gregory Developmental rd. This was passed on in our nightly report sent by dial up internet…

The year Yasi hit, we got flooded into Moranbah multiple times couldn’t even get to CQO at Peak Downs for a day at times. Some of our boys had to be airlifted off a tenement near Rolleston.

When it gets wet in Queensland it gets wet!

Probably Vicki, the bigger holdings are lucky as the paddocks are huge (Square miles) and the cattle usually move to higher ground of their own volition.

My conversations with cattle farmers I have been told the northern breeds especially with the Brahman mixes don’t cope well with extended rain. Believe it or not they get cold. Cattle farmers are generally more worried about that.

That said I know the very basics about cattle. Where I came of age in Victoria was sheep and cropping country.

Funny I rode out Yasi in Townsville. High end Cat 2/Low end Cat 3 winds (Trav or Nitso from OCC had a pic I can’t find anywhere anymore at an old analogue pen style aerometer at airport gusts peaking at something like 88kn) but the rain wasn’t that bad from my experience. Storm surge was awesome though, Saunders creek near where I live had water flowing upstream at 8am next morning. I had to lean into the wind to walk to see it.

Few of the boys I worked with down in the coalfields were pulled out of the MAC Camp Moranbah and evacuated to the gymnasium/sports centre. Their experience was more the rain than wind. I was allowed extra time off at home (Needed as power was off) as all the tenements in the coalfields were so saturated drilling was suspended for weeks.

I watched its progression across the centre & into WA. Descriptions I saw of it was it was an Atlantic style monster system we fortunately don’t see much in these neck of the woods and even luckier it didn’t hit Townsville or Cairns direct on.

I was reading my travel notes from a solo trip I did to Israel in the 1980s. I found that I had mused that the West was about to face a protracted opposition from the Islamic world. This was hardly an earth shattering observation, since I recall that I was there at the beginning of the 1st Intifida.
What I did find interesting is that I also mused that the contemporary hostility towards the USSR (I think the dissolution of Russia’s control was beginning) would fade. I noted that the then head of Italy had observed that, “after all, Russia is really part of Europe”. I can’t recall, who that Italian President was, but I suspect his prediction all those years ago will prove correct.

Funny, reading this today. Particularly as Christianity is being rebirthed in Russian society.

Former Indigenous affairs minister Linda Burney has said Peter Dutton walking away from “decades of bipartisanship on Aboriginal affairs” is “unforgivable”.
“When I reflect on the referendum itself, of course there is sadness,” she told the ABC.
“The outcome for many people both, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal was devastating and that devastation is still felt.”
Ms Burney said the issue of recognition will not go away following the ‘no’ vote, saying “Aboriginal people will not walk away” from treaty and truth.
“The issues of constitutional recognition will not go away, and they didn’t start in 2017 with the Uluru statements. They started decades ago and they will go on for decades,
“One of the things I’ll be designing in the future is a community led truth telling process, where communities don’t need governments, they don’t need legislation, they can do it themselves,

M 7.7 – 2025 Mandalay, Burma Earthquake

The March 28, 2025, M7.7 earthquake near Mandalay, Burma, occurred as the result of strike slip faulting between the India and Eurasia plates. Focal mechanism solutions indicate that slip occurred on either a north-striking, steeply-dipping, right-lateral fault, or a west striking, steeply-dipping, left-lateral fault. This focal mechanism is consistent with the earthquake potentially occurring on the right-lateral Sagaing Fault that lies in the fault zone that defines the plate boundary between the Indian and Sunda plates.

While commonly plotted as points on maps, earthquakes of this size are more appropriately described as slip over a larger fault area. Strike-slip faults of the size of the March 28, 2025, event are typically about 165 km by 20 km (length x width).

The Burmese haven’t had a good time these last few decades, this just adds to their misery.

Why White Women Are WOKE & The Awkward TRUTH about Ethno-Nationalism | Eric Kaufmann

In the video, Eric Kaufmann discusses the persistence and evolution of “woke” culture, emphasizing that it hasn’t died despite claims of its decline post-Trump. He defines “woke” as the sanctification of historically marginalized groups and the resulting cancel culture that emerges when these groups feel their emotional safety is threatened. Kaufmann highlights that certain demographic groups, notably young people and white college-educated women, are more inclined towards woke attitudes. He predicts that as these demographics become more politically dominant, cultural shifts towards social justice will occur, which will challenge classical liberal values. Kaufmann touches on ethnic diversity and its implications for societal cohesion, suggesting that increased diversity can lead to division along ethnic lines and hinder economic and social development. He argues that immigration needs to be controlled to allow time for assimilation, which he believes is crucial for maintaining social cohesion over generations. There’s a discussion on national identity and who is considered “English” or “British,” highlighting the complexity and sensitivity surrounding ethnicity, culture, and national belonging. The discussion also delves into the impact of migration and ethnic change on political polarization and the rise of populism, positing that these phenomena emerge partly as responses to woke culture and restrictions on free speech. Kaufmann predicts that woke dynamics will endure and evolve as demographic changes continue and populate the political sphere differently. Overall, Kaufmann stresses that time, assimilation, and reduced immigration are key to achieving social cohesion, while acknowledging the persistent and contentious nature of woke culture and identity politics.

More Burmese/Thai ‘earthquake’ news (the Tele):

A powerful earthquake has rattled Myanmar and neighbouring Thailand, trapping dozens of workers in a collapsed under-construction skyscraper in Bangkok where a state of emergency was declared.

The 7.7-magnitude tremor hit northwest of the city of Sagaing on Friday afternoon at a shallow depth, the United States Geological Survey said. A 6.4-magnitude aftershock hit the same area minutes later.

In the Thai capital, a 30-storey building under construction collapsed, trapping 43 workers, police and medics said.

Yeah righto. Pull the other one.

This is very clearly misinformation, designed to deflect away from an obvious false flag controlled demolition, with Mossad and possibly Ivan Milat pulling the strings.

TrusTEd bloGgers will show the way.

Why AI won’t take over the world – yet (the Tele):

A veteran lawyer is under investigation after he used artificial intelligence to do his legal research for a court hearing only for it to be revealed that it was all incorrect.

In a case that shows artificial intelligence is not quite ready to take over the world, the lawyer used ChatGPT to research past legal precedents to support his arguments in an immigration case before the Federal Circuit Court.

The artificial intelligence engine returned what purported to be 17 relevant past cases, which the lawyer then submitted to the judge and opposing lawyers without double checking that they were correct.

However, when the matter next appeared in court, the opposing lawyers told the court that the cases referenced by the lawyer in his submissions “do not exist”.

I’m tempted to blame the lawyer rather than the program, just because. Naturally, his name was suppressed.

Election called this morning. You would think be dominating news. Yeah na.

From News.com: 14 articles in their top section, 1 on the election, 6 articles about crap like sports players or Kayne Wests ex moll, Avalon air show crash, an article spruiking sex toys (Yeah think team Albo already has that in mind for the electorate), some missing cop, another TDS instalment, Burma Earthquake, some crap about Princess Kate and some chick coomplaining because hey I’m posing in an open window and dudes are leering (Dunno, isn’t that used to be known as voyeurism?).

The National section below has not one election article.

Daily mail Oz worse, burried a third of the way down the page a section of half a dozen articles.

I can find more election information on Fairfax and the ABC that is far more biased then Murdochs papers.

Can’t see Dutton winning unless he starts getting on to the pages and that might mean going after some sacred cows and rattling cages unfortunately. He’s got nothing to lose…

Time for a RANT!

It is utter BOLLOCKS and self-harming delusion that because the LNP are the ‘lesser of two evils’ we MUST choose them.

If your spouse cheats on you, do you say ‘Well, I can see what kind of an offer he/she made, so I can’t blame you really.’

If two of your children or grandchildren shoplift, do you punish only the one who stole the most expensive item?

If a group of people with money and influence brand you a Granny-killer, destroy your business, and isolate you physically, socially, and financially, and then afterwards act as if nothing had ever happened, do you forgive them and say ‘That was then, this is now. You know?’

YOU DON’T MATTER.
You will NEVER matter if you keep on complimenting the person who just broke your nose on the softness of their knuckles.

I get the concern about not waiting for a better option to magically appear, but while the LNP continues to loiter on the (nominally) right side of the playground, no other kid is going to risk being slapped around by the experienced, connected, bullies.

Clearing the right side of the political playground with a bulldozer is not going to happen overnight, but unless someone finds the keys to the dozer, we’re stuck with the same toxic, feral mob who would sell our organs for two bob if they thought they could get away with it.

Fer feck’s sake people, you’re a smart bunch – Do you enjoy the rush of blood that comes with a fist to the face? Smash these gutless, arrogant bastards in the throat and deprive them of oxygen; DON’T vote for them.

DON’T vote for small ‘e’ evil, because there are no levels of evil, no graduations. Evil is just evil.

Change only takes place as the result of force being applied. We CAN demand this change, but the only way that will happen is if the LNP no longer lurks like a child predator on our side of the political playground. Clear the filth away and others will be attracted to the opportunity.

What are you going to do nit wit: draw a duck’s face on your ballot. Vote for any of the minors with no preferences so your vote dies, or preference so your vote ends up with one of the majors.

This snotty, both parties are beneath me attitude only harms the conservative side. The left are tribalised and toe the company line. Rugged head up arse individualism like this nonsense destroys the conservative side of politics where the it’s my way or the highway and my pure views must prevail undermine defeating the left. In fact I reckon you are a leftoid: no one but a leftoid could sprout such spittling pseudo passionate crap.

It also completely misreads and misunderstands the punters who run a mile from fanatical sprout like this. Finally went over to the dark side after long resistance. I bought a carton of cigarettes from a crime cartel shop.

I held off for a long time because the product was awful (think old rope left in a drain for a few weeks) plus residual brand loyalty. But, things have changed in the last couple of years.

My last carton of legal cigarettes cost $480 odd dollars for 180. My carton of 200 knock-offs cost $100. They are properly packaged and quite acceptable substitutes. The quality of the product has skyrocketed.

I see that tobacco excise revenue is plummetting.

Have they learned nothing from Prohibition?

Plus, in an era where small businesses are closing all over the place, many a landlord will leap at a six month lease for a storefront, especially if it is paid in cash.

My retailer only accepts cash, BTW.

For the Uniparty, virtue signalling is much more important than preventing the activities of crime syndicates.

John Anderson Media: Australia Isn’t Ready For War | Michael Pezzullo Mar 21, 2025

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuVPKW88gXU [1:04:32 suitable for just listening]

John speaks with Mike Pezzullo, former Secretary of Australia’s Home Affairs Department (2017-2023), about the nation’s historical resilience and current security challenges. They explore how Australia’s early naval power deterred threats like German warships in WWI, yet today, the country faces a “real and present danger” from China’s naval deployments, such as the recent task group in the Tasman Sea. Pezzullo warns that Australia’s strategic sensibility has declined, leaving it vulnerable despite warnings from leaders like former Prime Minister Rudd in 2009.

The conversation shifts to actionable solutions, emphasising the need for leadership to prioritise defence over social spending. Pezzullo suggests doubling maritime surveillance, investing in autonomous underwater drones, and fostering regional alliances to counter coercion without forcing nations to choose between the U.S. and China. He stresses that with political will, Australia can secure its freedom, drawing on past successes like economic reforms and border protection under leaders like former Prime Ministers Howard and Abbott.

Michael Pezzullo is a former Australian public servant who served as Secretary of the Department of Home Affairs from 2017 until 2023. He was previously Secretary of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, and Deputy Secretary of the Department of Defence. Michael has a BA (Hons) in History from Sydney University.

John Anderson Media: Can Islam Co-Exist? | Dr. Mark Durie and Dr. Richard Shumack Mat 28, 2025

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1GDH3GLY8o [1:52:29 suitable for just listening]

John speaks with Islam scholars Dr. Mark Durie and Dr. Richard Shumack to explore the complex relationship between Islam and Western culture, drawing a contrast between Muhammad’s leadership, shaped by military endeavors, and Jesus’s Gospel of peace. They discuss how Islam’s foundational texts—the Quran and Hadiths—emphasise submission and sacred struggle, which stands in tension with Western values like freedom and the rule of law. A lack of theological literacy in the West obscures the roots of current challenges, including Hamas’ extremism and rising anti-Semitism.

The dialogue examines broader differences, contrasting Islam’s historical pursuit of authority with the West’s vitality, rooted in principles of love and rational inquiry. Dr. Durie and Dr. Shumack observe that Islam’s narratives of victimhood and a rejection of modernity hinders progress, while Christianity’s call to “love your enemies” fosters resilience and growth.

Dr Mark Durie is a pastor and academic. He writes and speaks on a wide range of topics which include the connection between faith and culture, freedom of religion, the persecution of religious minorities, and the origin and history of Islam. He is the author of Double Minded and The Third Choice.

Dr Richard Shumack is a philosopher of religion specialising in Muslim and Christian belief. He is the author of Jesus Through Muslim Eyes and Witnessing to Western Muslims.
