Further to the UK, soon to be the IK, once a bastion of free speech and great comedy, now a crumbling Orwellian nightmare governed by a party headed a PM who is a very creepy, sinister, lying, totalitarian adulterer and all round anti-Semite (a man who loves to give the knee to and cosy up to totalitarian movements, be it BLM or Islamism), where ordinary men and women languish in prison for the crime of posting a rude or obnoxious X post, where an upper middle class couple from Hertfordshire are arrested and shoved into the clink for six hours, their crime being that they ‘allegedly’ sent acerbic emails to their child’s school due to an administration dispute. Forget about Der Sturmer hating Jews and Israel, he hates his own fellow indigenous countrymen and he wants to destroy the UK. He’s well on his way there! I could go on, I’m sure you get the drift of just how low this kingdom has fallen but in news overnight………

A little preface, in the last ‘Conservative’ (cough) government, one of the few Conservatives who was actually a ‘real conservative’ was Jacob Rees-Mogg. Until July 2024, Rees-Mogg represented a constituency in western England, a constituency in the quaint and very pretty county of Somerset (they drink cider in Somerset), a county I know quite well. The Plantagenet looking and very aristocratic Rees-Mogg is a tall and thin man, and he happens to be a devout Roman Catholic and father to six or seven children (can’t remember but it’s quite a few). His wife is equally posh, an heiress to the Earl Fitzwilliam family, an interesting historical tidbit was that Mrs Rees-Mogg’s maternal grandfather was the lover of Kathleen Kennedy, JFK’s sister, and the two lovers died in a plane crash over the French alps in 1948. The very posh and Catholic Rees-Mogg was always dignified in the face of a barrage of progressive left-wing mirth and ridicule during his years in parliament because of his Catholicism, because of his aristo background and because of his staunchly conservative politics. Yet you could never fault Rees-Mogg’s private life or his character, a very decent and moral man, someone I would describe as rather ‘daggy’ (daggy is good) but you see progressive scum, blinded by hatred for all things Christian, for all things moral and for all things English, will do their utmost to ridicule, smear, and destroy people they hate and Rees-Mogg was their ultimate target, and in July last year progressive and left-wing scum got their wish, Jacob Rees-Mogg’s lost his constituency of North-East Somerset and Hanham to a Labour luminary, a man who happens to be a great pal of Der Sturmer, a man named Dan Norris.

On Friday, UK Labour MP Dan Norris was arrested by the Avon and Somerset Police on suspicion of rape and child sex offences. He was suspended by the Labour Party on the same day.

Hmm, I wonder if there’s any buyer’s remorse in North-East Somerset and Hanham? I suspect there is. There will be a by-election coming up, given Norris’ arrest. I do hope Rees-Mogg stands and I hope he wins.

By the way, some like to insist Victoria Starmer, the wife of the obscene Fuhrer Starmer, is Jewish. She is not Jewish, her father was Jewish, her mother was not. Victoria Starmer is not halachically Jewish.

As predicted Albo announces a battery subsidy to fool the gullible into investing their money into home batteries so the periodic and haphazard renewable energy grid can raid your system to smooth out the inevitable power shortages.
You donโ€™t need storage with big coal, gas, hydro or nuclear generation. The home batteries also relieve the generation companies of the burden of providing adequate storage. Itโ€™s equivalent to fuel companies with refineries but no service stations, you store the fuel at home.

I have 3 years of collected data from my own 6kW rooftop solar

the trouble with batteries to store our own fuel is that we’d need at least 35 kWh of storage

cost would be in the order of $40k

so, if Abalone’s subsidy is north of $25k I’ll consider it

The ‘pushing of electricity prices down’ is measured against what the retail price WILL BE in the near and medium-term future.

Technically, then, it is not false advertising, as every bugger knows the price will increase with each passing hour.

Gez, we have a 10kw system, connected to the grid. While it once earned a lucrative feedback “earn”, we now battle them over every bill. I want to “go off grid” with a battery as the little we now earn is not worth the effort.

But I assume that once “off grid” our power stored in our battery – disconnected from the grid” is our own – & not subject to further imposts.

A man next door installed solar panels all over his roof, and all his fences and on top of outbuildings. Then he put in batteries. He told me how was going off-grid.

Unfortunately his batteries exploded one Boxing Day and his house was razed to the ground..

I rather expect more of this to occur. Like an EV, the less risky option would be to locate the batteries well way from oneโ€™s home.

The other benefit of home batteries for energy corporates is the removal of slabs of solar energy feed into the grid that turns the wholesale price negative during the day. Thatโ€™s not good business for the big generation investors.

More importantly for Not Zero, the guarantee of consistent high prices in the NEM hopefully encourages a queue of renewables investors willing to build out Laborโ€™s fantasy.

The AEMO Statement of Opportunities tells us that the regulatorโ€™s ringpiece is currently twitching like a rabbitโ€™s nose as the grid deteriorates, and system reliability collapses. Even relaxing the Reliability Standard wonโ€™t help the southern states.

I read this morning on ABC (hopefully true then) that Albo has just committed another $2.3 billion of our taxpayer money to subsidizing home batteries to soak up excess power from solar panels. I’ll leave it to others to point out the many flaws and downsides to this latest band aid approach to convincing the public that our grid is in safe hands. Scrolling down the article is a photo showing the batteries and various gizmos attached to the outside wall side of a house. Given that yesterday I endured an unhinged aggressive rant from neighbours (rusted on Labor voters), on “nasty Elon Musk”, I was surprised to see the very prominent display of two Tesla batteries. Lefty heads must be exploding everywhere! https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-04-05/labor-pledges-2-3-billion-to-subsidise-home-batteries/105142194

The cost of much needed distribution system upgrade is also kicked down the road to make renewables look โ€œcheaperโ€ in the short term. If youโ€™re connected to the grid then you cannot avoid the massive increases in system costs which will flow into your power bill. The free battery power wonโ€™t touch that unless you go off grid.

In news just in…..

Two British MPs, Yuan Yang and Abtisam Mohamed, were denied entrance to Israel on Saturday, after an investigation reportedly revealed that the two wished to enter the country to document the activities of security forces and spread anti-Israel hatred, Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority announced.

The two parliamentarians landed at Ben-Gurion Airport at 2:30 pm on Saturday after flying in from Luton with their two aides.

During questioning, the passengers reportedly revealed that the purpose of their arrival was to “document security forces and spread hate speech against Israel.”

As a result, Interior Minister Moshe Arbel decided to refuse entry to the four and subsequently ordered their removal from Israel.

Fabbo. Of course there’s predictable outrage from Humpty Dumpty David Lammy, the racist Jew hating UK Foreign Secretary. Meanwhile the UK has, over the last decade, denied entry to Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, David Wood, Lauren Southern and countless others, including some Israelis. David Wood, the American Christian apologetic, was due to attend the ARC conference in February however his visa to the UK was denied.

How Will You Be Affected by Trumpโ€™s Tariffs? Trumpโ€™s Treasury Secretary Breaks It Down

Tucker Carlson Network

The video features a discussion on the potential impacts of Trump’s tariffs, with a focus on how the U.S. and foreign countries might react. Key points include: 1. **Economic Uncertainty**: The introduction of tariffs, alongside other factors like AI and immigration policies, creates a lot of uncertainty regarding their economic impacts, and it’s challenging to predict exactly how they’ll unfold. 2. **Need for Economic Change**: The speaker argues that the old economic system in the U.S. was not working effectively, likening it to a bodybuilder on steroidsโ€”appearing strong from the outside while damaging vital organs internally. The tariffs are intended to avoid a future financial crisis by making fundamental changes. 3. **International Response**: The implementation of tariffs is expected to lead to significant lobbying from foreign countries, each seeking adjustments based on different factors like trade deficits and currency manipulation. 4. **Domestic Manufacturing**: The tariffs are seen as an incentive for companies to build their factories in the U.S. to avoid the tariffs, which align with the administration’s goals of boosting local manufacturing. 5. **Impact on China**: The tariffs are particularly challenging for China due to its imbalanced economy, heavily reliant on exports. The U.S. aims to leverage this to rebalance trade relations, potentially benefiting U.S. manufacturing. 6. **Communication Channels**: The strong relationship between President Trump and China’s Chairman Xi is highlighted as a safeguard against misunderstandings or escalations between the two nations. 7. **European Dynamics**: Europe, especially Germany, faces its own set of challenges with imbalanced exports and reliance on Russian energy. The scenario underscores a need for European countries to rebalance their economic strategies. The discussion suggests a belief in challenging existing systems and creating new economic dynamics while recognizing the complexity and potential risks of such significant changes.

As a useful addendum, they also get to claim that all the bad things that will happen are certain, but that it would not be responsible to state any of the good things will happen because.. yup.. it’s uncertain.

To be clear – tariffs: not good.

Outside Euro/UK, Canada, Mexico, Japan and China the tariffs don’t mean that much. So after this opening salvo settles expect distinct individual agreements to get underway and eventually settled. Trump wants a deal and most certainly so do the counterparties. Even if they have to hold their noses while doing it. All else is noise and bluster for their constituencies.

And it’s not just trade. It’s trade+reserve currency+military dominance+shared intel+space assets+global finance/banking mechanisms+access to technology. In a word, relationships.

Meaning, much more than dollars and cents in trade, this episode ties into the whole of the relationship nations have and want to have with Trump’s US and vv.

The S&P was historically well over valued (ask Grok) by several significant measures. A correction was coming at some point. Leveraged hedgies make the unwind all the more dramatic, when they have to dump everything, as well as Mag7’s.

and USD is still a central node in many other respects, but arguably we never came this close to the end of dominance

On solar panels I stupidly put myself in for an assessment of viability for rooftop panels.
Got a quick phone call from one guy to tee up the detailed call with both co-owners of the property to go through it.
I canned the second call because I don’t need an hour long “save da planet” sales pitch.
If they call back I am just going to tell them to send me their numbers in writing so I can go over it myself or forget it.
I doubt it will be worth it.
We use gas for heating and hot water (fairly new combo water heater). Our electricity bill is less than $1300 p.a. If I take out the roughly $1 per day supply charge, consumption is a bit over $900.
Without batteries I then take out most lighting, roughly half the fridge costs, a chunk of evening cooking and TV costs and I am left with not much that solar panels can help with.

Did he put the heater on a timer? We reduced our power bill by 2/3 by running our major appliances sequentially after 10 am ( washing , dish washer, a/C( if needed) in that order. Our hws is set on a timer to run between 11 and 3, and we use the oven around 3pm if we are baking.

At our last energy briefing we were given a graph of usage vs generation for the last few months , when we ( residents in the village) generate most power, we consume the least., so many of us have changed our habits.

Solar panels are a good deal (good panels), so long as you control when and where the energy you produce goes. Input charges when the grid doesn’t want energy are going to get “worse”.

It would be even better if battery technology was at a point where the cost of a battery and management of it was worth it, but it isn’t. Would suggest getting panels now and installing a battery in 8-10 when the battery tech is better. Ideally, someone who got panels about 5 years ago will be in a great spot to upgrade as the battery tech matures.

the thing about home solar these days is that it is effectively a financial hedge

all the replicated generating infrastructure, extra transmission,snowy-2 big buckets, and idiotic subsidies basically guarantees future electricity price rises that will be out of step with inflation

when you do the ROI pick a Discount Rate that accounts for this

We put 6kW on the roof 5 years ago and the Vik Govt ponied up $2250 subsidy … from memory we were out of pocket about $3500

simple ROI was 3 years

in real terms … probably closer to 2 years

The Carbon Crisis
We donโ€™t have enough

Ian Plimer – 5th of April, 2005

Extract from the Spectator Australia –

“We have a carbon dioxide crisis in Australia. There is not enough of the gas produced locally. We import carbon dioxide from China, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and Italy yet we bury carbon dioxide in old hydrocarbon wells. Food grade carbon dioxide with more than 99.9 per cent carbon dioxide is used for carbonated drinks and food preservation and normally is a by-product from ammonia manufactured for fertilisers and explosives. Industrial grades of carbon dioxide are used to create an inert blanket for grain storage, welding and metal working, fire extinguishers, life jackets, foaming rubber and plastics, water treatment, and immobilising animals before slaughter. Carbon dioxide is used to decaffeinate coffee: solid carbon dioxide (โ€˜dry iceโ€™) is used as a coolant.

There are some vital facts that drinkers need to know. Fermentation of sugars releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and drinks such as beer, champagne and cider have added food-grade carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide has an inverse solubility. The colder your carbonated drink, the more carbon dioxide is dissolved. As your carbonated alcoholic drink warms, which in my world is a heinous sin, it exsolves carbon dioxide and keeps bubbling well after its drink by time. The gas to push keg beer along the lines is carbon dioxide but Guinness uses nitrogen thereby creating a creamy texture and the surge and settle effect by bubbles one hundredth the size of carbon dioxide bubbles. Try telling a drinker in the embrace of Bacchus that they should lead a net zero life and see how far you get.

Food and industrial grade carbon dioxide in Australia is produced from wells in the Otway Basin. Carbon dioxide from old oil wells needs compression, purification, dehydration and cooling to make easily transportable liquid carbon dioxide. Caroline-1 well near Mount Gambier was an abandoned oil well that produced 811,000 tonnes of liquefied carbon dioxide from 1967 until 2017. It has been replaced by Boggy Creek-1 in Victoria drilled as a wildcat oil well in 1992. The Langwarrin-1 well in South Australia was drilled in 2019, is not in production and could produce 100 tonnes per day of liquefied carbon dioxide. Water and carbon dioxide are extracted from coal-seam gas and conventional gas from oilfields. The Longford gas plant in Gippsland produces about 60,000 tonnes per annum of liquefied carbon dioxide for the Australian and New Zealand beverage industry. Liquid carbon dioxide is pumped down old wells to push out the last remaining oil and gas and it is also sequestered underground in abandoned oil and gas fields to โ€˜save the planetโ€™.”

Who would have thought that we (the Planet) doesn’t have enough CO2.

Which is not to say that its geography does not matter to its people.

It clearly does. But Musk tells an obvious truth which is forgotten as far as the West is concerned, which is that the people of a country have a long-established culture. Swamping the culture with newcomers destroys a culture and the people who have inherited it, created it and who still hold to it. Musk concentrates on the forgotten fact but hugely obvious fact – that the West can’t accept a swampload of inflows from the billions of people who’d like to arrive there.

No. A people reflect the country they have developed in over time. Brits, Italians, Greeks etc..the people are the country and they reflect the heritage and character of that country. The geography is the land they inhabit. Geography is just one of many influences. By your logic, heritage doesn’t matter. How completely wrong.

Had a big family do yesterday. No wonder this country is stuffed. Son 2 chucked in his job at the Venture Capital mob. A niche market for them. They get their money too easy, he found he was to be responsible for compliance when everyone does whatever they want. The theme being “I’m too busy to do that”, attitude. Son 3 chucked his job in, as well. World’s largest, yet only rewards the less than average, not the high achievers. Strange as it sounds, they only pay a bonus if you exceed your own previous best. Same company had an IT guy that was sacked by a bean counter when they didn’t know what he did. Fixed problems when they happened, no fuss. He was away for a few days before they were alerted to a downturn in sales. Had someone else doing his job, not very well. He came back on contractor rates. Son is going to a position that the owner has venues all over Australia but in Canberra his business model doesn’t work. Quelle surprise, locals are lazy, self entitled and think they should be in charge. DiL chucked her’s in after finding out she’s doing her job plus training owners friend who’s getting paid the same but doesn’t know how to do the work. Another attendee, a scientist, chucked his in when his boss was away discovered his boss does nothing and makes it look like its him thats lazy.

Something Hairy has often noted to me from his own experiences in management – people are given performance indicators based on what bean counters asses they do, not on what they usefully stop others from doing, ie fixing problems when they happened, or before they happen, which should somehow be nominated as part of the success of any job.

Piers Akerman:

In the final weeks before the election, the streets are again littered with posters bearing deceitful slogans and promises designed to capture the hearts and minds of voters.

Among the more eye-catching is Allegra Spenderโ€™s bold declaration on her Wentworth campaign placards: โ€œYour values, your voiceโ€.

Examine the rhetoric and reality of the so-called teal independents, and a different picture emerges โ€“ one that raises questions about entitlement, accountability, and authenticity.

Heiress Spender, a prominent figure among the teals, proudly touts her voting record as a reflection of her constituentsโ€™ conservative values.

According to her, she has supported 60 per cent of the votes put forward by the Coalition, 50 per cent of those put forward by Labor and 45 per cent of the Greensโ€™ proposals.

Her self-proclaimed independence from party lines is a badge of honour she constantly brandishes.

However, a closer examination of parliamentary records tells a different story. Spender has actually sided with 66 per cent of the Greensโ€™ proposals, 39 per cent of Laborโ€™s, and 39 per cent of the Liberalsโ€™.

When it comes to final votes on legislation, her alignment with Greens and Labor proposals jumps to 70 per cent and 71 per cent, respectively, while support for the Libsโ€™ votes plummets to 27 per cent.

These figures are based on a parliamentary analysis of all 517 votes to February.

The discrepancy between Spenderโ€™s claims and reality is not just numbers. While she criticises major party MPs for toeing the party line, her own record suggests a selective interpretation of independence.

Itโ€™s a classic case of the Gucci Greens, who appear to be a wholly operated subsidiary of millionaire Simon Holmes a Courtโ€™s Climate 200 operation, presenting a chic image that masks a disturbing reality.

Teals brag they have forced emissions reductions but donโ€™t mention the 443,395 small businesses which closed in 2024 because of the higher electricity prices caused by their senseless renewables policies, nor do they mention the crippling rises in the cost of living.

With their smooth delivery and progressive promises, teals did capture the imagination of some voters disillusioned with traditional party politics but their entitled squeals reflect a disconnect between lofty ideals and the realities of life.

The only true measure of a candidateโ€™s values lies not in their words, but in their deeds.

It shouldnโ€™t take much to identify whatโ€™s authentic even in a political landscape awash in spin, and hold politicians accountable for their promises.

In the end, the teal tango โ€“ this dance of entitlement and double standards โ€“ serves as a reminder that true representation requires more than just a catchy slogan. It demands integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to honesty and transparency.

As women, one might have expected the teals to bring their collective force to bear on a real cause where they might influence change โ€“ the appalling rates of domestic and sexual violence perpetrated against Aboriginal women, particularly in the Northern Territory.

As the record demonstrates, a vote for a teal crossbencher is most likely to be a vote for a Green-Labor government.

Rational voters wonโ€™t be swayed by the superficial charm of the Gucci Greens and will seek representatives whose party best embodies their principles.

The tealsโ€™ slick appeal to naive emotional voters, predominantly female, demeans the intelligence of their supporters.

More seriously, their failure to declare which of the major parties they would support in a hung parliament shows a total lack of the integrity they so vigorously claim.

The teal tango. Very good Mr Akerman.
They really are a bunch of pretentious popinjays.

Lol.

It’s not just the education which makes leftoids so stupid but the disconnect from reality. The teals are a perfect example: pampered, prosperous women who have never experienced hardship. As a result they take their social structure and all its protection of them for granted, so they indulge their ego issues like global boiling and ruinables and can’t see their advocacy of leftoid issues will destroy the very social infrastructure which protects them.

It’s called cognitive dissonance; and spoilt, white women personify it.

Here’s the Fed’s balance sheet. It’s decreased by over US$2 trillion dollars since May 2022.

SA recently banned electoral corflutes from being placed on public property – so except for the odd one on private properties there are hardly any posters around at all and there is no feel itโ€™s election season. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing yet. But Iโ€™m surprised (I shouldnโ€™t be) to find it was the Liberals that pushed for this on the basis ofโ€ฆ reducing plastic pollution.

Itโ€™s at least removed the Leftโ€™s ability to engage in these kinds of shenanigans, but also I suspect it will make it even harder for smaller right-wing parties to be seen, as it was at least a way to get visibility outside of media control.

Not allowed to tell someone they have a mental illness.

NSW Criminalizes LGBT Conversion Practices (6 Apr)

From April 4, LGBT conversion practices are officially banned in New South Wales under the Conversion Practices Ban Act 2024.

The law makes it a criminal offence, punishable by up to five years in prison, for anyone who delivers or performs conversion practices that cause serious mental or physical harm.

Taking someone out of NSW to undergo such practices elsewhere can also attract a maximum three-year jail term.

Conversion practices include so-called โ€œconversion therapyโ€ and other actions aimed at changing or suppressing a personโ€™s sexual orientation or gender identity. These practices are based on the belief that LGBTQ+ people need to be โ€œcuredโ€ or โ€œfixed.โ€

Five years for trying to help someone. Sheesh. In a related matter:

But has still taken quite a few weeks to diminish pain. Knee also took a fair hit and โ€œplays upโ€ a bit by aching during the night.

Husband reminded me of a saying of Barry Humphreyโ€™s character โ€œSandy Blightโ€…..”donโ€™t fall down…or they will put you in a home!โ€
Since he was clearly referring to the plans of relatives ……I will be more careful in future!!!!

There are little things out to get us at any age, Vicki. Sorry to hear of your Council rubbish fall after your lithe awareness of all sorts of hazards at the farm.

I’ve taken two ‘falls’ recently, neither of them due to age. The first when I got up too quickly out of bed in Jaipur and had dizziness from blood pressure change, something which has happened to me occasionally in youth too. I tripped over a pillow lying on the floor, grabbing some curtains to break my fall and hurt my right knee a little, plus a couple of ribs. It got bettere in a few days so nothing broken.

The second was when I was putting a note into the bank of mailboxes at my second son’s place about 6 weeks ago. I stepped back not noticing a gas meter and pipe that lay immediately behind. I fell backwards twisting my right leg and left foot (lost my shoe) but my fall there was broken by a wall close behind which caught my left shoulder and unclad elbow as I slid down it. Noone saw it and I got myself up after sitting there looking at some garbage bins with a ‘what’s happened?’ look on my face.

Left foot has taken weeks to feel unbruised again, and my elbow sustained a horrible graze, which only healed properly in time for surgery where no open wounds are permitted. I hid this big graze from Hairy as I dared not say I had taken a fall, let alone that I did it at that son’s place, for that one causes me enough trouble anyway. Hairy freaks out about me and ‘falls’ now, for he’s read horror stories about broken hips etc. So have I actually. I’m intent myself now on taking more care.

You should too even on the farm, Vicki. Pogria too. You have a little way to go still, but once you hit 80 the game seems to change. Not so fast now, girl, you say to yourself and try to impose a caution you are unused to accepting.

The video on the China Observer channel discusses recent cyber activities by a hacker group called Anonymous 64, including their infiltration of multiple Chinese governmental and military websites. Anonymous 64 aims to expose corruption and criticize the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), calling for the dismantling of the CCP and the creation of a new China. Key points from the video include: 1. **Hacks and Exposures**: Anonymous 64 claims to have hacked various official Chinese websites, releasing personal information about officials they label as “traitors” nurtured by the CCP. The group accuses these officials of crimes such as internet censorship, maintaining political stability by force, and implementing harmful policies. 2. **Targeted Individuals**: The hackers identified five officials they accuse of crimes against the Chinese people, including Lei Liu, responsible for public opinion control, and Yi Wang for aggressive diplomacy leading to China’s international isolation. 3. **Hacker History**: Anonymous 64’s activities coincide with anniversaries of significant events like the Tiananmen Square massacre, and they have continuously posted about their operations. There are suggestions that Anonymous 64 might be linked to or inspired by the original Anonymous hacker group known for political activism. 4. **Propaganda and Accusations**: The CCP has accused Anonymous 64 of having ties to Taiwan’s Cyber Command, alleging these activities are part of a broader cyber warfare effort against China. Taiwan has denied these claims, suggesting the CCP is using these accusations as a distraction from domestic issues. 5. **Broader Implications**: The video highlights how these cyber activities aim to challenge the CCPโ€™s control over information and offer alternative narratives to the Chinese public. The efforts are seen as part of a broader fight against censorship and to bring international attention to internal Chinese dissatisfactions. 6. **International Reactions**: The cyber attacks and revelations also align with broader geopolitical changes, including the US’s stance against state-sponsored hacking. The video discusses historical actions by the US Department of Justice in pursuing Chinese hackers as a countermeasure. Overall, these revelations and cyber attacks by Anonymous 64 are portrayed as a response to what the group describes as the oppressive policies of the CCP, and a call to expose corruption and promote democratic ideals within China.

A young doctor had moved out to a small community to replace a doctor who was retiring.

The older doctor suggested that the young one accompany him on his rounds, so the community could become used to a new doctor.

At the first house, a woman complains, “I’ve been a little sick to my stomach.”

The older doctor says, “Well, you’ve probably been overdoing the fresh fruit. Cut back on the amount you’ve been eating and see if that does the trick?”

As they left, the younger man said, “You didn’t even examine that woman? How’d you come to the diagnosis so quickly?”

“I didn’t have to. You noticed I dropped my stethoscope on the floor in there? When I bent over to pick it up, I noticed a half dozen banana peels in the trash. That was what probably was making her sick.”

The younger doctor said “Pretty clever. If you don’t mind, I think I’ll try that at the next house.”

Arriving at the next house, they spent several minutes talking with a younger woman. She said that she just didn’t have the energy she once did and said, “I’m feeling terribly run down lately.”

“You’ve probably been doing too much for the Church,” the younger doctor told her. “Perhaps you should cut back a bit and see if that helps.”

As they left, the elder doctor said, “I know that woman well. Your diagnosis is almost certainly correct, she’s very active in the church, but how did you arrive at it?”

“I did what you did at the last house. I dropped my stethoscope and, when I bent down to retrieve it, I noticed the vicar under the bedโ€.

Let’s Try Really Hard To Walk This Back news (the Hun):

Virginia Giuffre has broken her silence about her deteriorating health for the first time since claiming was on her deathbed, as her brother reveals she โ€œalmost diedโ€ in another incident three months ago.

Almost died? Again?

Giuffre, 41, uploaded a worrying photo to Instagram last week, telling her followers she had been involved in a road crash with a school bus in regional Western Australia and was dying from kidney failure.

But:

WA Police only had records of a minor road accident on March 24 which caused $2000 worth of damage

This account was backed up by the bus driver, as well as the kids on said bus.

but her brother Sky Roberts has now claimed his sister was involved in another incident in January. He says that event resulted in a cracked sternum and perforated eye, and almost killed her.

This tart’s brother said it almost killed her. We’ll get back to that shortly…

He couldnโ€™t confirm whether her ongoing medical issues were the result of the January incident, complications from the crash in March, or a combination of both.

But he said it almost killed her. He must be some sort of medical professional.

He said the bruising visible in her Instagram photo was consistent with a car crash.

Almost certainly, he must be a medical professional to say such a thing.

โ€œNobody ever said her liver issues and kidney failure were ever from that. We still donโ€™t know if it is, Iโ€™m not a medical professional.

WHAT?

‘Thatโ€™s up to her doctor to determine,โ€ he said.

Oh. Oh righto. So this lying mole’s PR team – hired with the $20 mill she got from the Royals has roped the brother in from the other side of the world to speculate. Got it.

Mr Roberts then lashed out at critics who questioned the legitimacy of her health claims. He said: โ€œIs it going to take her to die for people to believe her?’

Yes. Yes it will, and even then she won’t be believed because of all the cry-wolf bullshit sympathy-dredging she’s been up to.

This is, as they used to say on The Late Show, champagne comedy.

Tough but doable by the next CPI stats?

According to the Bureau of Labor, American companies employ over 14 million workers abroad. To reshore that level of manufacturing, it is estimated that 20,000 factories would need to be built in the US

Apple

Estimates for manufacturing an Iphone in the US is said to be about US$3,500.
Grokster
Current cost to build

  • Base models (e.g., iPhone 16, 16e): ~$400โ€“$450
  • High-end models (e.g., iPhone 16 Pro Max): ~$485โ€“$558

Grokster says 235 million iphones were built last reporting year.

Thus, for 2024:

US: Approximately 94 million iPhones sold (40% of total).

Rest of the World: Approximately 141 million iPhones sold (60% of total).

Apple is NOT going to set up a factory in the US to build phones. That’s not going to happen. Nike, same thing.

Maybe Apple will get an exemption for the phones since they are building factories in the US. Grok;

On February 24, 2025, Apple committed to investing $500 billion over four years in the U.S., including the construction of a 250,000-square-foot server manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas, set to open in 2026. This factory will produce servers to power Apple Intelligence, the companyโ€™s AI platform, and is expected to create thousands of jobs.

The announcement came shortly after Apple CEO Tim Cook met with President Donald Trump, who claimed Cook promised to shift manufacturing to the U.S. to avoid tariffs, a narrative Trump reinforced by stating Apple โ€œstopped two plants in Mexicoโ€ to build here instead.

There will be others. They will eventually need a lot of copper.

From the US POV, the US alone benefits from construction through to operation.Plus there will be investments needed in the grid. There is also the tech IP from the new generation fabrication ops. The problem is that tariffs are a fictitious way of trying to equalize prices for similar goods produced in different countries. They’re a fictitious construct and can be taken down or played with by the government of the day. Would you spend $5 billion of new plant and equipment to arbitrage the tariffs? At the margin there will be, not I’m very doubtful on a wholesale basis.

And to answer your other comment. There could very likely be a recovery in the next few months, but that would come with changes to this proposal.

It’s actually the opposite and your smarmy comments will always get a response. You can’t handle anyone with opposing opinions, and yours really aren’t originalโ€”they’re just regurgitated.
And here we go again with the hi-hi wage shtick, just in a slightly different format, always forced on us by some government edict. I care as much about those workers as they care about me.
On purely economic terms, global supply chains actually worked great when the world remained peaceful and un-contentious, but that’s not something we can look forward to. However, unlike you, I’m under no illusions that economic inefficiency is fine and dandy or that hi-hi wages brought about by government interference are a good thing. You just have a giant chip on your shoulder.

Higher wages, not your hi-hi wages bullshit only comes from efficient capital allocation and productivity increases. There’s no other way. If you make things inefficient and cause wage inflation because of that inefficiency, all you’re doing is creating hi-hi wages and not the former. There’s no free lunch, champ.

This is the thing about the tariff policy that I don’t get. I get this it’s a way for the US government to raise more money and hope like anything that the tariff impact on prices will be absorbed through the exchange rate and the foreign exporter eating some of the hit. I get that. I get that the administration believes there will be a one off impact to inflation. However, what if it doesn’t? And it looks more likely that it won’t because the Administration is pushing a lower dollar policy.

But having said all this, if they really wanted to move manufacturing back to the US, why not offer a long-term tax holiday to anyone wanting to set up shop in the US. Something like zero corp tax for 15 years and 100% depreciation allowances?

For NSW residents:

Preserve Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum

The national and international significance of the Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum has been recognised in NSW Parliament by the Minister for Tourism and the Arts.

?The museum is at imminent risk of closure due to restrictions imposed by its landlord, preventing critical security upgrades and repairs, following a break-in and theft in August 2024. Thus, the museum is forced to pay thousands each week for security guards. This could quickly extinguish remaining funds, which would result in relinquishment of licences, leaving the museum no choice but to dispose of the precious collection.

Ask ADF & ex ADF about Thales and you will get a string of expletives. From what my mate has told me about them only way I can see they have the contract for ammo still is that there are some maaates in high places getting preferential treatment.

There’s 2 separate streams of paperwork to sign for ammo, Thales paperwork and the ADF paperwork. Thales won’t bend to the ADF & the ADF can’t as theirs is governed by regulations.

Mate was involved in a sign back where he handed back a heap of HE but the det cord length was wrong. No one bothered measuring it and the Dems guys stuffed up the calculation. A discrepancy of around 2m he knows went up in a puff as it was a Cdo guy who prep’ed the charges and he was helping. Thales, him (as the Ammo supervisor) and his Ops Cell were pinged for 6 months by Myanbat because there was a cost difference of a few dollars. OpsWO in the end just ignored it and it finally stopped.

Another time Orchard Hills stuff up a consignment that was Thales’s fault this time, unit’s paperwork and ammo request all good. Saturday morning ammo didn’t arrive at Holsworthy. They had a choco course in. A manager at Thales failed to sign off the release, then refused to come in on a Saturday morning to put said signature on paperwork. He said on of the WO’s and a Thales storeman were looking at the prepared pallet but couldn’t take it. Result a bunch of ARes soldiers finished the course with a shortfall and Defence had to spend the next 12 months flying some of these guys from as far as Perth to make up the shortfall.

That’s two I know from my mate. I know there would be more out there. Thales haven’t got a good name in the ranks.

Labor from what I heard has chopped the budget for museums etc.

Puckapunyal was meant to get a new museum like the one at Infantry Training centre Singleton that was like a giant safe but open to the public so they didn’t have to come on to the base. They were going to build it off Blamey Ave near the gate, I thought is wasn’t an exactly good place as I know that area used to flood when I was an Army Brat on the patch but that’s apparently where it was meant to go.

All got canned in Smith/Houston’s budget cutting exercise. They closed the Artillery Museum at Middle Head and now are trying to jam all that in the present Armoured Museum for a combined museum, the RAAC Museum has been closed for 2 years now as a result.

Not only that the Feds took over all the revenue streams from the various Cops shops, RAAC gave them the finger and shut theirs down completely.

All the above came from a family member who was working on Puckapunyal last year.

We will be visiting the Singleton Infantry Museum on
Anzac weekend during a reunion, Rockdocktor, with my husband’s mates from the 4th intake who trained there in 1966 and went to Vietnam with 1ARU..
We live in Newcastle, one mate at Singleton is the town undertaker and very connected to the infantry museum. One further mate was RSM of the Australian Army, Arthur Francis, now deceased, who set up the digital filing range before he retired. Very interesting if any old blokes want to visit.
Cheers, mares.

Why is Trump Using Tariffs? The Truth That Has Misled the World on Tariffs

“For all the criticism of Trump and the risk of a global trade war, as Macron wants to unleash a trade war to elevate France to the top of the EU, if we just look at the data, we can see why Trump has taken this approach. Even those Republicans like Rand Paul joining the Democrats in calling tariffs a tax, none of them are looking at this issue objectively or seriously. Under the Biden Administration, not only was there a wholesale invasion of illegal immigrants, but on the trade front, he paid no attention at all, and most seemed to assume he was too senile to pay attention.

They are resoundingly calling Trump insane, mainly because they have something to lose. Free Trade has been one-sided. There is a risk that France will push to impose trade barriers against others to support their Marxist agenda. That will be devastating, but we see the world economy headed into a recession for the USA, yet a Depression for the EU. The fact that Trump imposed a 10% tariff on the UK but 20% on the EU is actually driving a wedge between Starmerโ€™s dream of overruling BREXIT to get back into the Marxist utopia of the EU.

In addition, the belligerence of Macron is having an impact. There is a growing discontent with the European Union and the 20% tariff on the EU, with Macron vowing that full retaliation may prove to be the wedge that starts the fragmentation of the EU. Hungary has its own currency and can quickly leave the EU and resume trade with both the USA and Russia. Ukraine has long suppressed the Hungarian people trapped within the boundaries of Ukraine. The same is true for all of those members questioning the EU yet did not join the euro.”

For 50 years, the EU celebrated its tariff wall and the CAP, which is an illegal embargo in WTO terms but is supported through fake environmental and health arguments..

Macron is a clown. A competitive tariff war with the US will be a massive loser for Europe, especially France. High margin luxury goods, domestic goods and machinery can easily be substituted by the US.

Trump’s biggest enemy in his attempts to enhance conditions of the US people is Wall Street with their fake crisis propaganda, their disloyalty to the US and their support of the clown Democrats. Wall Street of course supports Macron.

Wow, Dutton is really running scared of media beat ups. What makes anyone think he will be any different as PM? Do you think after this he or his front bench will make unpopular calls?

Candidate for Whitlam or ex now made some views on women in combat roles a few years back that some may disagree with but were done in a measured way without abuse:

https://www.news.com.au/national/politics/the-liberal-party-has-dumped-the-nsw-candidate-for-the-seat-of-whitlam-over-claims-women-shouldnt-be-in-the-army/news-story/56d1ad1f60c5a4dafef9e9c815d04007

Seems all to convenient but the optics for conservatives is still, we don’t matter.

On Mark Levin’s Life, Liberty and Levin (Fox News), China expert Gordon Chang reports there is an internal power struggle inside the Chinese Communist Party between the Chinese military and Premier Xi.

Chang says Xi is vulnerable because he has abandoned domestic economic growth as an economic strategy and thinks he must export his way out of faltering national economic growth — which makes him a sitting duck for Trump’s trade war.

Big stupid gubment will be banished.

The ALPBC will be shut down, as of yesterday.

The NT and the ACT will be abolished.

All Monoversities will be closed down and a review undertaken of their faculties – any not serving anything resembling a useful purpose and those decreed to be purveying left wing idiocy will be closed down, forever.

Big fat corporates engaging in collectivist virtue signalling will be hit with a 100% tax on their gross income.

Spacechook and tak tok will be banned.

The remaining braindead lamestream meeja organs will be forced to announce an “Acknowledgement of the Orange Man (who is very very bad) Bad” before their uninterrupted broadcasts of newsreels of Australia from the fifties, sixties and seventies.

All hippies and commos will be summarily sentenced to existing in “camps o’ happiness and freedom” in the most remote infernal deserts on the continent. They will be joined by every white numbskull that had the gall to try and claim they were not white.

The ALP and the Ozzie greenfilth will be banned and membership of either decreed to be a summary executionable offence.

ALPFL will be banned and anyone caught practising it sentenced to summary execution.

And yes, Rog, there will be more. The observations above are barely scratching a very filthy surface. ๐Ÿ™‚

So sorry, Rabzenfuhrer.
The shuttering of the useless humanities departments and the total seizure of company revenue seemed awfully close to book burnings and nationalisation.
A mere mortal could suggest, dear Rabzenfuhrer, that your great plan risks being incomplete if the dangerous ideas of the left wing idiots are left intact in the monoversity libraries for other subversive elements to take up.
And the virtue signalling company’s costs still remain to be paid, meaning your regime would have to pay those costs. So taking ownership of the revenue and the expenses implies the company has been nationalised for all practical purposes, even if nominally the corporation’s owners on paper are still private citizens (exactly the fascist formula).
So really, oh most exalted Rabzenfuhrer, I was only taking your great plan to its logical conclusion.

How’s your thoughts on the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo?

I went to it last year for the first time in decades and thought it was a smaller than it used to be. Also more mainstream than it used to be. Then again 20 years ago my siblings and I with a few other boys used to spend more time at the Lions Footy Club bar than actually doing much else ๐Ÿ˜€

Sad loss last year of Colin Stray who was one of the local businessmen who helped get it going so I’m curious to see how it went this year as he was very influential.

Howโ€™s your thoughts on the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo?

Fairly fascinating story today.

Farming family gives rare look into unique 10-story house: โ€˜Weโ€™re nothing fancyโ€™ (5 Apr)

The โ€œGirvan Towerโ€ on Girvan Estate is believed to be the tallest private residence in the country and was built for the late Peter Grey over six years in the 1990s.

Andrea and Andrew Evans bought the estate for $779,204 USD in 2012, which was reportedly significantly less than the house cost to build.

The family now run Vast Harvest Permaculture โ€“ a completely self-sustainable food forest and orchard โ€“ across 400 acres.

There are incredible views of surrounding farmland, all the way to Newcastle and the ocean on the horizon.

They obviously have some sort of business plan that works, and the house is impressively strange! I couldn’t work out where the house is but if they can see Newcastle from it it can’t be that far away from Cafe Bruce.

Gabor

The Girvan tower was built at a cost of more than $2 million by local Peter Grey atop a hill on a back road between Stroud and Bulahdelah.

Rockdoctor An interesting day up at Seymour. It was a cross between a country show and field day. There was every type of tractor and implement imaginable with the focus on smaller machines. There was a demo of a Lucas Mill which was interesting. Not too much that was alternate or out there. Lots of stalls with handcrafts of excellent quality but not many buyers. As usual the most popular places were the food courts. I actually went there to check out a product I want to sell so I learnt a few things.
All in all a good day out.

We have no money. We have no friends. We have been white anted almost into cultural oblivion. On the other side of the world, something extraordinary is happening. It might be successful, it might not. But we are in a position where we have zero leverage. The incumbents have nothing to offer us except more debt, more exposure to our enemies (or enemy).

For many years I ran a business where hard decisions, even the hardest, had to be made. I really canโ€™t see this as any different.

As the probability of blackouts rises, we need to think through what we should lobby out local members to set as priorities.

Starting on the negative side, TV and radio must be early targets. Each uses lots of electricity, and should this be limited to, say, two hours per day for major networks only.

Then newspapers, restrict them to three sheets of paper (12 pages) per day.

Close down most public service central offices, keep only elements that deal across t he E counter, but put senior staff in them to handle the difficult matters.

Restrict shopping hours to two hours around lunchtime and again after 1600.

All of the above should happen before power is cut off to industry and suburbia. Better that fridges and freezers keep working than media and public service.

According to the ABC “Tens of thousands of protesters have taken part in an anti-Trump protest in a score of locations across the US in what organisers expect to be the largest single day of protest against President Donald Trump and his billionaire ally Elon Musk.”

In the US “tens of thousands” is a nothing burger. For a decent sized demonstration you get “hundreds of thousands” or even millions. The ABC as usual is trying to hype this up as a big anti Trump anti Musk demonstration when it’s not big at all.

Trust the ABC to wet its panties over “tens of thousands” “in a score of locations” in an orchestrated protest, funded by billionaires and millionaires.

I would be willing to bet if the protests were in twenty locations most of them would have considerably less than 3-4000 protesters at each.

That film was shot, in Israel, using Israelis as extras.

The film company flew a “counter terrorist” expert, out to Israel, to explain to the extra’s what was expected of them.

As he finished his briefing, a fairly ordinary looking individual got to his feet.

“Firstly, like all Israelis, we’ve all served our time in uniform, so we are all trained, if not veteran, soldiers.

Secondly, I’m a member of our counter terrorist squad, and I can see at least three other members here.

Thirdly, after recent events in Iraq (the bungled hostage rescue attempt in the early 1980’s), we reckon we know our job, better then you guys, you, so we don’t need anyone to show us what to do.”

The “counter terrorist expert flew home next day.

Arthur Leggett death: WAโ€™s last surviving World War II prisoner of war dies aged 106Dylan CapornThe West Australian
Sun, 6 April 2025 5:42PM

Comments

Dylan Caporn

WAโ€™s oldest surviving World War II prisoner of war โ€” Arthur Leggett โ€” has died aged 106.
Mr Leggett, who was well known across Perth as a fierce advocate for Australian veterans, died on Sunday, and was still an active president of the Ex-Prisoner of War Association of WA.
Serving in World War II and fought in Libya and the battles of Bardia and Tobruk before being captured at the age of 22 in the Battle of Crete.
He spent more than four years at a prisoner of war camp, and worked 12 hour days in Polish coal mines.
A powerful sight on Anzac Day commemorations each year, he stunned a silent Optus Stadium crowd in 2022, aged 103, when he read the Ode of Remembrance at the annual Fremantle Dockers Len Hall Game.
Ex-Prisoners of War Association WA secretary Ray Galliott paid tribute to Mr Leggettโ€™s post-war service.
โ€œArthur Leggett always said that his duty as an ex-Army soldier was to ensure that the memory of his former colleagues was never forgotten and that the most effective way to do so was to educate the younger Australians of what earlier generations did to ensure we enjoy the freedom and safety of a secure country,โ€ he said.

Tough but doable by the next CPI stats?

According to the Bureau of Labor, American companies employ over 14 million workers abroad. To reshore that level of manufacturing, it is estimated that 20,000 factories would need to be built in the US

Not really.
If you move from a super-low wage environment to the US, the capital vs labour equilibrium changes.
There won’t be a one-for-one replacement of labour.
A simple example is materials handling.
In a low wage environment stuff will basically be moved in plastic crates and hand trolleys with lots of cheap labour.
In new factories in the US there will be stacks of conveyors, palletiser, automatic packing machines, etc.
That is just one example.

I went to see a movie today, one in the French Film Festival programme. The cinema was chockers which was delightful. People will go to the cinema if there’s something decent playing. The film I saw is the latest French version of ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’. I have always loved the novels of Alexandre Dumas and this film version of his classic novel was superb, spectacular, it took my breath away. I highly recommend it. I adored it.

It was also very comforting to see that French filmmakers haven’t fallen for the infuriating English habit of woke diversity wank where you now see, in almost all UK dramas and films, including historical dramas and films, ‘black’ or ‘subcontinent’ actors. Why, they even had a black woman play the very white Queen Anne Boleyn. It isn’t just ridiculous, it’s utterly offensive.

If The Count of Monte Cristo is showing at your local cinema, do yourselves a favour and go and see it!

It wasn’t there at all in ‘Wolf Hall’, made in 2016, the first of the Mantel Cromwell series. Sadly, it is there, even though only as background vision, not with main characters, in the new series two of it ‘The Mirror and the Light’, 2025. Crowd scenes always have a few black faces, and the Spanish women are very dark senoritas. This doesn’t destroy credibility completely, there were such people, but not in the numbers required by contempory cinema rules in the UK. The producers must have pushed back to have had so little of it though, for no main historical storyline characters turned up black.

Quite different to what happened to Amor Towles great novel on the evils of communism. They completely ruined the story of ‘A Gentleman in Moscow’ with unrealistic Muscovite black people everywhere, including a dreadlocked African as the main character’s best friend, a leftist whose downfall from communist grace was stark. You simply could not see this African man in the role.

I believe the ‘critical race’ theory goes that you are not supposed to notice, that we have to get used to ‘equality’ in seeing faces for individuals not as racial traits .. and it gives black actors jobs. That falls apart with simple common sense. You obviously DO notice and if it is completely out of place, as in Lenin and Stalin’s Russia, or in Henry VIII’s England, then it becomes a distraction from appreciating the rest of the show.

Labor is now leading the Coalition 52-48 on a two-party preferred basis, with the single-point gain mirroring the 2022 election result, despite voters backing Peter Dutton as the stronger and more decisive leader.

This is the kind of human garbage we’ve opened this country up to…..

A pro-Palestinian rally was held in western Sydney on Sunday, with some speakers likening federal politicians to โ€œJewish Zionistsโ€ while speaking of a โ€œHolocaust industryโ€ and referring to Australia as a โ€œcolonyโ€.

About 250 people gathered at Paul Keating Park in Blacktown where the Teachers and School Staff for Palestine held an โ€œanti-Palestinian racismโ€ rally with 30 other community groups.

Cries of โ€œshameโ€ rang through the crowd as activists spoke against the major parties and waved Palestinian flags, before the rally, attended by multiple families, marched through nearby streets chanting โ€œPalestine will live foreverโ€.

Palestine Justice Movement Sydney co-founder Ahmed Abadla targeted Jewish Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus in his speech, where he labelled the Labor politician a โ€œZionistโ€.

Mr Abdala said Mr Dreyfus and other politicians were trying to โ€œcapitalise on the Holocaust industryโ€ to build support for Israel in Australia. Mr Dreyfus travelled to Israel in January where he spoke of the โ€œstrong friendshipโ€ between the country and Australia.

The Labor MP, who is currently the most senior Jewish cabinet minister, has been outspoken about being the son and grandson of Holocaust survivors. He also recently published an opinion piece honouring his great-grandparents, who were killed during the Holocaust, after attending the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

At the rally, other speakers made appeals to the crowd to abandon the major parties for the Greens and independent representatives, including the Muslim Vote, at the upcoming federal election.

Muslim Votes Matter founder Sheikh Wesam Charkawi addressed the rally only weeks after he was allowed to return to Granville Boys High School, where he works as an educator, following a dramatic student protest.

The imam, who has been a prominent figure in the local โ€˜Muslim Voteโ€™ movement, was previously ordered to work from home by the Department of Education for making social media posts about the two Bankstown nurses who allegedly made threats against Jewish patients on a livestream earlier this year.

Sheikh Wesam was joined by Teachers and School Staff for Palestine member and rally organiser Mariam Tohamy, who spoke at length about how Labor and the Liberalsโ€™ stance on Israel had โ€œpropelled racismโ€ following Hamasโ€™ October 7 attack.

Mr Dreyfus declined to comment.

I don’t recognise this country anymore.

Neither do I and when the 2 odd years over 6 I worked outside the country one of the things I used to love was the feeling of familiarity on landing in Sydney or Melbourne. Sometimes I had been out of the country 6 months.

That’s long gone.

Immigration is too high, student visas should be curtailed savagely, and there should be strict controls on foreign ownership of housing.

In most of the countries I worked in I would not be allowed to own a house, so why do we let O/S students have ABN’s? Unless it by design…

@DefiyantlyFree

So last night, I watched two of the Indivisible training events where they trained activists for todayโ€™s totally pre-scripted, pre-planned and pre-orchestrated protests.

For a movement that continues to say they are non-violence they sure do use a lot of violent rhetoric.

They call the Trump administration a โ€œhostile takeoverโ€ and demand a โ€œforceful rejectionโ€ of the current leadership.

โ€œHostile takeoverโ€ isnโ€™t the language of peaceful assembly. Itโ€™s the language of regime change.

All the trainings prime protestors to see the government not as an institution to reformโ€”but as something illegitimate and dangerous.

The rhetoric gets worse as the trainings go on:

โ€ขโ€œWe must meet this moment with mass mobilization.โ€

โ€ขโ€œStop the MAGA takeover of our government.โ€

โ€ขโ€œAll hands on deck to stop the fascist threat.โ€

Indivisible, MoveOn and Working Families Party all had representatives at the training and all three of them provided exact signs and verbiage and tips on how to avoid being tracked.

I have never heard of a spontaneous protest that has weekly organization calls, tool kits, and pre-printed signage for everyone.

Every vote against Dutton is a vote for Albanese.

Welllll just be careful how you say that. Yes the uniparty routinely gets such a high share of votes in the House of Representatives that you have to rank Fiberals ahead of Liars or else Albo stays. But voting for other minor parties ahead of the Fiberals is also a bit like voting against Dutton because the Fiberals will not get the $3.39 per first preference formal vote that they would get if you just voted 1 Fiberals.

Topher suggests ranking minor freedom-loving parties ahead of the major/uniparty parties as a way to send a message of dissatisfaction and to build support for new parties over time.

Last week Rabz tried to convince me to vote informal in the House of Reps. That idea seems to be a slow-acting poison. I wasn’t persuaded straight away, but I can feel its persuasive power growing in my mind the closer election day gets and the more infuriated I am that no political party represents my preferences. Early days yet, but Rabz may succeed where MemoryVault failed.
