Data, Information and Intelligence

Data is raw, individual, and unarguable facts.

Information is the combination of data into a form that can answer an everyday question.

Intelligence is the combination of information into a form that tells a story and informs decisions.”

Precisely.

Society’s great leaps forward are always during periods when we reject the “Call to Experts” in favour of a “Call to Evidence”.

It is a great sadness to me that I should live to see the Great Recession from human scientific knowledge building into authoritarian darkness.

Tony Blair wants to “vaccinate” kindergarten kids.

Tony Blair: Govt Should Vaccinate ‘Nursery’ Age Children and Impose Vax Passes to Prevent Another Lockdown (19 Sep)

We have data which shows the vaccine is bad news for 12-15 yr olds, especially boys. But then lefties like Tony have already been killing kids in the womb for their own convenience for a very long time.

The “Intelligence” which (should) come from it

I can’t remember an issue where the desire of government to terrify the public with hysterical misinformation intersected so perfectly with the news media’s willingness to do the government’s bidding.

I deduce from the evidence that at some time in their lives old people die.
What is the Government going to do?
Defy God’s law by going full fascist? Well any excuse will do.

Axis labels on the y-axis (percent) would be a little clearer and make it impossible to initially read the children’s numbers as raw ratios (as I did).

Nitpick only. Point well made

I think we are past the point of needing to vaccinate then 0-12 year old group.

A mass cull is the only way to protect grandma.

Tom this is exactly what government and media did in climate change taking data and putting it into information that suited their agenda . The only difference is that Covid gave them deaths to scare people . Threats of what might happen with global warming such as sea levels rising, more devastation from weather events etc was not like the bloke next door in hospital on a ventilator and then dying . Contagious aspects of Covid are more scary than the hurricane in Louisiana .

Here is what I speculate is occurring (and it is just speculation).
Innoculations are low tech, 19th century technology brewed up in large batches. Despite the mRNA “tech” the things are able to be produced locally relatively easily in our post industrial apocalypse. The stuff is spooled up quickly in large amounts.
Drug treatments are 20th century technology that we no longer possess locally. The chemical industry has moved to China, and the pharmaceutical industry is located in India.
The government has already admitted when it banned Ivermectin use that there was not enough stocks of that drug.
The western public health servants already pulled the trick with masks of lying about their effectiveness when they shat their pants on realising there were no stocks of the things in January 2020. They then moved their advice as production came online.
Only with drug treatments we aren’t going to be able to repurpose the shattered remains of our industries to produce any.
Drugs require highly sophisticated equipment. If you screw up a reaction you produce poison or useless muck. We have neither the equipment nor the trained personnel to run it.
So there you go. The curtain has been pulled back on the post industrial illusion. You don’t make anything anymore and that puts you at the back of the line globally when it comes to a politically sensitive issue like keeping your citizens alive and free.
I would like folks who are capable of investigating my thesis to do so. Maybe Mater and/ or Bruce from Newcastle.
I speculate that we have the massive push for vaccinations because they realised very, very early on that vaccines were all that our remaining industries could produce on time.
Thus treatments have been neglected.
It isn’t enough that a treatment is effective, it also has to be available in quantities to give to everyone.
It’s what can be produced in quantity.
Again, that’s my speculation based only on what I can best think fits what has occurred and the possible motives of those involved.
You can overlay on top of that a cold bio war. We needed to prove to the CCP that we could counter any future outbreak the threw at us with what’s left of our capacity. If that is the case, we have failed utterly.

Looks to me like 20-39 year olds get PCR tested more than everybody else

Looks to me like men die earlier than women

Looks to me like if indeed the coof is killing punters more than usual, that men are getting more exposure … there goes my pet theory about hi-viz being propylactic

Here are some interesting stats from the UK today with an analysis that digs a bit deeper than most. Worth reading as it tries to tease out differences between vaxed and unvaxxed infection and death rates. One issue not addressed in this article is the difference in lethality between Delta and previous forms of the bug but the author has covered this in some earlier reports. Also he only touches lightly on the fact that the more vulnerable die first in the population.

Arky, no it’s purely politics. Trump cited HCQ, therefore it had to be banned. Then the right publicized studies that ivermectin was even better than HCQ. Joe Rogan for example said he used it. Therefore ivermectin had to be banned, otherwise Trump would be right (which he is).

Ivermectin is an insanely complex organic chemical, if you look up its structure. But it is incredibly easy to make. Because a bacterium produces it. So all you need is the bacterium, which you grow up in culture the same way that the AZ vaccine adenovirus is. CSL is producing AZ under license. They could produce ivermectin even easier that the vaccine, since all that has to be done is to separate it from the culture medium and purify it. There’s an extra step to hydrogenate the intermediate, but that’s dead easy too. Any meth cook could do all of this reasonably well. CSL wouldn’t be as cheap as the Indian producers but the stuff is so cheap to make that no one would care if it was a bit more expensively produced here.

So it isn’t availability. It’s something else.

Not enough information.

That case fatality rate begs the question: what’s a case?

Depending on requirements, a “case” can be a positive test or a hospitalisation. What is a “case” in this data?

Ivermectin could be a poor example, I’ll concede that it’s also cultured.
But back in 2020, the didn’t know which drugs would be good candidates, all they knew was we no longer have a drug industry, but we can brew shit.
So the pathway of vaccine strategy was set then.
I don’t put any store in the anti- Trump role in it, because we saw with vaccines they are able to turn on a dime and take credit for Trump actions, or put blame on trump for their own actions.
No.
I still think it was a choice wayyyyyyyy back: drug treatments that have to come out of China and India, or vaccine strategy. That the course was set under Trump is meaningless: they played Trump all the time over everything.
If a big third wave does not eventuate in India, I’m calling it: it’s de-industrialisation that got us here.

Nothing like a contagious disease to create mass panic and compliance. More effective than climate change, but do not worry, they are working on aligning the two and beating up climate and disease asap.

We have been fed with a lot of panic and very little proper analysis. The disease is a killer in certain age groups and its effects across a population are worth avoiding, but not at the cost of an economy as a whole and the more general health of everyone.
