If Covid really were a deadly disease that might strike anyone down at any time, no one would forget to do everything they can to prevent infection. The reality is that near enough everyone in our governing class understands that it is pretty well all a pretence with virtually no danger whatsoever to their lives and health. There is some, but it’s minimal. You are far more likely to be in a fatal car crash than to die from Covid.

My favourite is the recent clip showing some spokesperson preparing to go on stage for a White House press conference. He is filmed, unawares, from the side. He is not wearing a mask, but when his cue comes, he puts the mask on to walk on stage, then takes it off at the podium
The longer this goes on, the more certain I am that when we get back to ‘normal’, an annual flu season will be declared, just like daylight saving, during which masks will be mandatory. After all, we know they work!

I actually think this is a deliberate distraction squirrel so Dan can say “See, I’m not above the law!” while burying the real crime – hotel quarantine decisions leading to deaths.
Just when Andrews faces investigation on corruption, the media can distract the plebs and show them poor over stressed Dan. He’s been working so hard to protect us all that he made a simple mistake.
Why, he’s human after all and just one of us normal people and not above the law at all. He even has to pay a fine the same as we do.
I feel much more sympathetic towards him now!
