This one’s for Agricultural Cats.

In what looks like a re – run of the live cattle trade rockshow, with Indonesia, in 2011, People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals have more footage of Australian cattle, being badly treated in Indonesian abattoirs, to be shown on your A.B.C…..

Don’t worry, Lizzie. Gardenias shed their leaves faster than a … you know. 🙂

Even a slight change in location will do it. Killing the pests will help it along – the damage was done before you got it.

They love being fed and like water but not too much – let it dry out a bit before saturating. When they are in the right location they are tough, greedy and long-lived.

Sounds like a WhiteTail Spider bite.
The venom is Necrotising, but other than that, there’s nothing to worry about.

no it’s not.

I tried to put up a link but no good (even though Rex and Johanna have both given me a lesson).

If anyone’s interested, you can do a search for Australian Geographic – the truth about white tail spiders, 11/4/2017, which references Dr Geoff Isbister’s research.

Dr Geoff Isbister is an expert in envenomation at the University of Newcastle, NSW, has published many articles and studies on white-tailed spiders. The “modern plague”, as he calls it, is the idea that spider bites can cause ghastly necrotic ulcers. This phenomenon, known as necrotic arachnidism, has been falsely associated with the white-tailed spider

More than 200 Australian Defence Force personnel sacked over illegal drugs
The problem was most serious in the army, which terminated 140 personnel for illegal drug use over the two-year period.

More than 200 Australian Defence Force personnel have been sacked in the past two years after testing positive for illegal drugs, with cocaine and ecstasy topping the list of detected substances.

Data obtained through a freedom-of-information request revealed 124 personnel returned positive tests for cocaine use from July 2019 to June 30 this year. During the same period, 80 tested positive for MDMA – commonly known as ecstasy – and 49 to the closely related drug, MDA. Many of those who tested positive had multiple drugs in their systems.

The problem was most serious in the army, which terminated 140 personnel for illegal drug use over the two-year period.

The navy sacked 57 personnel and the air force dismissed 10 aviators over the same period.

Amphetamine use was relatively low, with just 17 positive tests across the three services, while 40 personnel were detected with cannabis in their systems. Eighteen tested positive to anabolic steroids.

Cocaine and ecstasy use were most problematic in the army and navy, while the most significant drug issue in the air force was misuse of the opiate codeine.

Defence has a near-zero tolerance policy towards illegal drug use, sacking the majority who return positive tests.

The fresh evidence of substance abuse problems among ADF members comes amid soaring rates of suicide among veterans, with recently updated figures revealing 1270 former and serving defence personnel have taken their own lives in the past two decades.

A Defence spokesman said: “Testing of ADF personnel can occur anywhere and at any time.

“ADF personnel who test positive for prohibited substances are issued a formal notice to show cause under the ADF disciplinary system,” he said.

“The decision to terminate a member’s service is determined on a case-by-case basis.”

Defence conducted about 23,000 tests in 2019-20, and 19,350 in 2020-21. The spokesman said the number of positive tests did not indicate Defence had an illicit drug problem, with the rate of positive tests falling from 1.72 per cent in 2005-06, to 0.58 per cent in 2020-21.

The results suggest drug abuse by serving ADF personnel is lower than in the wider community, with the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare reporting in 2019 that 16.4 per cent of the Australian population had used an illicit drug in the previous 12 months.

One former army officer told The Australian that the majority of drug use was by younger soldiers “taking cocaine and MDMA on a Friday night”, believing it would be out of their system by the time they faced a drug test.

He said while illegal drug use was prevalent, “it pales in comparison to the problems the army has with its soldiers and the use of alcohol”.

Sociologist Samantha Crompvoets, who has undertaken several studies on ADF culture including one that exposed war crimes by special forces soldiers, said Defence had worked hard to stamp out substance abuse in its ranks. But, despite warnings and higher testing rates, she said some ADF members still believed they could get away with taking illegal drugs.

“It probably comes down to young guys who think they are invincible,” Dr Crompvoets said.

“About 50 per cent of the army are 18 to 23-year-old males. They are going to do dumb things, regardless of what Defence does. “But what has shifted culturally is the response to it. It is no longer, ‘Oh well, we’ll give him another chance’. Now the focus is on greater professionalism in the workplace. To their credit, they have cracked down on it.”

However, military lawyer Glenn Kolomeitz said ADF members who tested positive for illicit drugs should be given access to counselling and rehabilitation programs, rather than being “hung out to dry”.

“They are dumping them on the street, and into the hands of DVA, when Defence should be saying, ‘We have contributed to this. We are going to get you into treatment. We will meet our duty of care to you’,” he said.

“If it means you have to be medically discharged, well so be it. But they shouldn’t launch straight into an administrative discharge, which at the end of the day is punitive and can only be damaging to people’s mental health outcomes.”

Mr Kolomeitz said he had represented 207 veterans facing criminal charges who were granted access to criminal diversion programs if they entered drug or alcohol rehabilitation programs.

“Once they entered into treatment and undertook programs, there was zero recidivism.”

Drug and alcohol abuse by veterans will be examined as factors in the royal commission into veterans’ suicide, which will start later this month in Brisbane.

A Defence background paper for the inquiry said illicit drugs were “incompatible with an effective and efficient Defence Force and can undermine health, safety, discipline, morale, security and reputation”.

There were 85,392 deaths that occurred in the seven months between January and July 2021 and were registered by 30 September.

This is 4,841 deaths (6.0%) more than the 2015-19 average and 3,024 deaths (3.7%) more than in 2020.

Three thousand more Covid deaths to date in 2021 than 2020?

According to our new Dear Leader in the making, this is to ensure “Ultimately we want a united society and we believe moving that date back to December 15 will incentivise [people to get vaccinated],” he said.

November 7, 2021 at 5:47 pm

The hospitals are full of ADE victims.

Having plenty to keep me busy for years and the lack of dead people in the streets, I didn’t think much about the why is this still happening until several months ago. That is to say the ongoing absurd narrative about the planned scamdemic and the ongoing drive to force jabs on everybody just about everywhere.

I assumed it would just wind down, go away and die at some point exactly as per the original bird flu and later swine flu media hyped non-pandemics. The criminals, Chinese assets/ admirers and communists that crew Australian organisations, institutions and governments all the happier with offshore accounts as well as pockets full of cash. Pharmaceutical companies laughing at the raucacity of the scam and the world wide abrogation of liabilities for “vaccine” injuries- looking forward to the billions in further useless and plain harmful product sales.

I had read all that stuff about Agenda 21 then later 2030 on the UN and other websites ages ago and thought what a load of bullshit that would never happen.

Then I noticed the other month how the deaths and adverse reactions recorded by the TGA hadn’t even doubled from prior the the jabbing drives. The recent Federal Identify and Disrupt Bill, this Digital Identity one, the updated Biosecurity Act…then the Victorian Enabling Act. All the seemingly gleeful bashing of protesters and people in general by NSW Police with the various contracted foreign security firms joining in Victoria. Federal and State governments pissing on whatever laws and international treaty obligations suits them on that given day/week/ month.

This is clearly not leading to a good time or place. It is really bad. Anyways, for some Sunday viewing, I thought this fellow giving a rather qualified opinion with the training people to respond to biological, chemical…etc… attacks background being rather valid:

https://www.bitchute.com/video/ASxjVPddnApF/

I rather agree. Probably is a corona virus here and there causing some deaths however at this point the “vaccines” are doing what they were designed to do. Everybody that the media announces as a covid breakthrough death, are rather victims of the “vaccines” having the intended effect.

I guess the burning question is, who and how far up the chain of command in the country is aware of what is going on?

This means I just don’t bother with most hotlinks now, which is a pity as many here post links to great content.

If an actual link address is posted instead of a hotlink, I can at least copy & paste it on a new tab & not lose my place here.

BBS, my link method is foolproof, and similar to Johanna’s.

First, copy the URL you want to link to. It’s always in second strip down across the top.
Then highlight by a drag over it the word or words in your comment that suit your link.
Then press the link box from the four choices above, whereupon another box comes up with https:// written in it. Backspace in this new box to clear that new box entirely of the https:// stuff and then paste your own desired URL (no matter how long or short it is) into the now empty box.
Press OK, and you are done.

Mary Durack passed away after a 16-month battle with motor neurone disease.

Vale Mary Durack: a pioneer descendent who embodied everything we love about the East Kimberley
Picture: Sarah Duguid

The East Kimberley has lost one of its most passionate advocates, after Kununurra’s beloved Mary Durack died last week following a 16-month battle with motor neurone disease.

With a connection to the East Kimberley dating back to her pioneering ancestors who established the region’s first pastoral stations in the late 1800s, Mary became a well-known figure in the North West following her return to Kununurra in 2017.

While born in Perth, the former botanist, marine biologist and teacher had a lifelong attraction to the region and — like her ancestors — a strong pull towards Australia’s Top End, spending much of her life in the Kimberley, Northern Territory and Queensland.

Her brother Jeremy Durack said it was her family roots and admiration for Indigenous culture that drew her to northern Australia and the East Kimberley.

“Mary was a restless spirit and she travelled all over Australia; every five to 10 years she would move, but she was drawn back to Kununurra,” he said.

“She was very interested in Aboriginal culture and people, it was really the compass for her life and the common thread.”

Ms Durack studied Aboriginal education as part of her teaching degree, and became an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tutor in Townsville when she left university.

After several teaching roles in Perth and the South West, she moved into public service and consulting work, becoming involved in opening the Centre for Aboriginal Studies at Curtin University in 1994.

Her role as a policy and planning officer for the Aboriginal Affairs Department brought her to Derby in the mid-90s, before she moved overseas in 2004 to run an Aboriginal art gallery in Paris.

Upon her return to Australia she settled in the Northern Territory for several years, but in 2017 returned to her family roots in the East Kimberley where she played what was perhaps her most important role in connecting with Aboriginal branches of the Durack family.

Thanks for the encouragement re the Gardenia, Calli. I have fingers crossed for it to burst into beautiful blooms and to not lose too many more leaves. Does the White Oil hurt the existing leaves? Does it have to be mist sprayed off or can it just remain and the leaves still breathe OK? I gave it half a pint of water today so will lay off any more for a few days at least. It consists of numerous tall branches where at the top the leaves are glossy green and the buds are huge. Not too many leaves left on the lower branch areas though. Eventually, when a Cumquat tree is found that suits, the Gardenia will probably be planted out in the lower garden. I suspect that it is root bound in its small-for-size pot.

The Currawong fledgies btw are still doing well, cheeping away for food from their new digs in the huge Magnolia Grandiflora outside our main bathroom. Last year’s nest is merely a mess of twigs still hanging on within a crook of the Jacaranda, a far cry from tugging at heart strings, but this year’s nest in the Ptosperum has that recently-forsaken sadness about it. The perfect little basket weave cup they make is still secured to the twig foundation. It is filling with Jacaranda blossoms, the carpeting evanescence of each spring cycle.

it was pretty wild wind a week ago.

On my morning walk Friday, I ambled past this lovely old place which was in the same family for 50 years before selling last January. The owners had given it a full renovation, painted it white and we’re ready to move in.

The wild wind you mentioned took out ten of those massive pine trees you can see stretching across the back of the photo. The 2 metre+ root balls popped out like corks and fell the full length of the house. Sadly, it is so badly damaged it has to be demolished.

Victorians might wonder how it is that QLD – which is chock full of guys like Struth, has remained largely free for the longest, and Victoria which is chock full of big brained ‘optics’ concerned sophisticates like m0nty and leigh-lowe was the gateway through which the absolute worst of this stuff entered the country and establishes itself.

On the up and up tens of thousands of normal Victorians are literally fleeing Victoria to get away from them to be neigbours with guys like Struth which is funny.

Oh maybe the weather has something to do with it with people spending more time outside. Perhaps, it maybe because of struth’s enormous IQ. Clearly, he’s the smartest guy in any room.

Speaking of QLD politics, man oh man, talk about demotion:

Goondiwindi Mayor Lawrence Springborg on Wednesday night noted the increasing Covid cluster in the nearby NSW town of Moree and said he was on standby for further Queensland health advice on travel restrictions.

That would be serial loser former leader of the LNP, now mayor of Goondiwindi. He’s waiting for instructions from the Labor government – so no change from any other time in his life then.

Brace yourself for an insight into the political titan’s mind:

“The great irony is that we may never fully realise the success of our region’s vaccination rate, as we will only ever know the number of positive cases and not how many were prevented,” Mr Springborg said.

Well said, Mayor of Goondiwindi, well said.

To be fair to total political flop Lawrence Springborg;

He is the only leader of the opposition who actually went anywhere near winning an election during the 20-odd years of Beattie/Bligh ALP maladministration.

He actually managed to spook them.

Maybe. In August 2020 a contact of mine in the reserves told me they were being taught riot tactics, and they had never done that before.

Well, we can’t argue with that.

Anyone who brings us back to sanity – non-suicidal policies, restoring civil liberties and getting spending back under control & reigning in licensing which has exploded lately has my vote – or at least my preferences.

…the math here is simple: to achieve net-zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050, the world would need to deploy 3 Turkey Point nuclear plants worth of carbon-free energy every two days, starting tomorrow and continuing to 2050. At the same time, a Turkey Point nuclear plant worth of fossil fuels would need to be decommissioned every day, starting tomorrow and continuing to 2050.

I’d hate to say it, but stopping net zero might be a bigger deal than our civil liberties crisis.

The ADF have been doing that for decades. In the early 90s we were ‘trained’ in urban crowd control tactics at company level. Not all that often, granted, but it appeared to be one of the suite of things that required some training now and then so a box could be ticked somewhere way up the chain under the heading of ‘capabilities’.
