The Scientist and the Narcissist

Professor Ian Frazer:

The Premier of Victoria:

Now if Professor Frazer is correct in his analysis that the vaccine represents only “personal protection against the bad consequences of Covid-19” (and I would put his view well above both Dan and Brett), what reasons could the Victorian Premier have in introducing medical apartheid…other than punitive? Isn’t this meant to be about public qhealth (hint: it’s in the title of the legislation)? If it was about imposing personal risk management, perhaps DHHS could mandate some lessons on climbing stairs, in holiday houses.

Let us be EXCEPTIONALLY generous and assume that he is concerned about overloading the hospital system (I won’t even insult your intelligence by raising the remote possibility that he is concerned about my wellbeing*). He is saying that the spread of Covid amongst 30%, “more likely” 20% of the population could overwhelm the health system in Victoria.

This is dubious…unless, of course, you don’t believe your own hype about the efficacy of the vaccines.

No, I think I’ll keep his motivations in the punitive column, and neither health orders, nor this state of emergency, were designed for that purpose. Allowing people to intermingle normally, except for things that HE may consider as privileges, can be read no other way.

*My cancer monitoring was cancelled in April last year and didn’t resume until late 2020. I’ll take it from that that Dan doesn’t give a shit about my personal welfare. But for the grace of God, I’d have been buried alongside my family member, who wasn’t so lucky.

The way to solve Public Health inefficiencies and lack of capacity, Mater, is to spack off the legions of tax-eating ‘Executives,’ ‘Directors,’ ‘Managers’ and all their hangers-on who consume budget for no outcome.

And I say that after a decade in Public Health.

Take your worst personal and corporate experiences of the ADF and Defence Department in the last 20 years, and I will tell you that the SA and WA Health Departments make them look like amateurs.

So, when Sneakers talks about locking out WA (as an example) to all comers to ‘save’ our Health System from being ‘swamped’ – Amidst ambulance ramping, misfeasance, malfeasance, utter morale collapse and service failure that is now far beyond anything Colin Barnett’s government presided over, despite having better budget conditions and resource prices than the last lot ever saw- I get annoyed…

Just worth noting the ~15% infection rate. ( I’m rounding up from US stats and down from the Diamond Princess figures)
The psychopaths would have us all believe that the 30% are ALL going to catch it.

The latest four to die in NSW were all vaccinated.

Might we, from now onwards, insert the adjective ‘extremist’ prior to the given names of the various leaders when mentioning them?
i.e. The extremist Premier Dan Andrews …
It is applicable, no?

I prefer to assume our politicians are morons because that relieves me of the need to find logic in their policies.

Imagine what would have happened to them if they hadn’t been vaccinated.
Doesn’t bear thinking about, eh?

I mean, what’s worse than dying?
Maybe without the vaccine they would have died an been reincarnated as Victorians under the regime of Mao Tse Dan.

As the US and the UK are experiencing a delta surge I’m going to assume that more than 15 percent are going to end up with covid but yes completely convinced Dan is concerned with my health.

Nice Israeli stats there Rosie.
Highest daily case levels for the entire pandemic and deaths pushing up to similar levels.
The most at risk group of 60+ are over 80% double dosed and 90% first jab.
20% third jabbed.
The vaccination freedom promise is like the crappiest Christmas present you got as a kid.
Smile and pretend you’re grateful.

Don’t get me started on SA Health Rex.

You would like to think that at some point more people will start to question why a first world country in 2021 is only capable of offering binary alternatives in relation to Covid – Home or Hospital (with no treatment until you’re sick enough for the latter), Vaccine or Nothing…

As the mortality amongst the vaccinated inevitably continues to rise, surely they too will start to question ‘what else’ can be done?

It’ll be interesting to see if it exceeds the Diamond Princess figure of ~20%.

It should be noted that we are talking “infections per season”. Not cumulative year on year.

The press conference where he announced the “lockouts” was extraordinary.

He could hardly contain his glee.

Why is it called a vaccine? I may be behind the times but in my day a vaccine protected you from the targeted disease. But then again these were tested properly. Back in the good old days.
If it is an effective vaccine why the magical paper masks? If it’s not an effective vaccine why push it on the public?
Personally I have no dog in the fight. Had my three score and ten. It’s what a shithole being left behind that bothers me the dystopian mother state that smothers all human joy and development.
Sometimes I wonder why I bothered helping Ronald Reagan win the Cold War. It was a good life back then.

Self-serving crap from Ch7. They’ve been right behind lockdowns, vaxxes and the rest for 20 months. Now there’s a definite shift in opinion (and it’s hurting Ch7 employees) they’re just pretending to come to the rescue. They are not heroes. Pu ’em on the list.

Sometimes I wonder why I bothered helping Ronald Reagan win the Cold War.

It could be argued that the Soviets won the Cold War, albeit posthumously.

Even though they collapsed, they had already successfully seeded the West with subversives, particularly in the universities, who have now turned out a generation of professionals in all fields who regard the West with suspicion, if not outright disdain.

Former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov on how the Soviets subverted the US (1984).

Not great quality but a fascinating insight into the Soviet doctrine & strategy of subversion.

@ Miss Anthropist-

The only practical difference between a Fascist and a Communist is who they bow the knee to.

Communists have traditionally obeyed the dictates of the Soviet Union and China.

Fascists have tended to look inwards, finding their inspiration in belligerent nationalism or some subspecies of identitarianism.

In practice, their totalitarian approach to life and violent anto-humanism is identical. Though the fascists have historically tended towards having far nattier uniforms…
