Djokovic is the Pistol and/or Boo of 2022.

Djokovic has been held for 5 hours at Melbourne airport because his Visa does not permit him to enter the country . Well this will cement the growing international view that Australia is some sort of police state.

It’s the revenge of the vaxed, if we had to do it so must everyone else.

I think he won’t do it but I would, turn around and catch the next plane out of here.
He can always get an other grand slam victory somewhere more friendly.

I got some dispiriting news today.
13 y-o grand daughter will be getting vaccinated this month.

My niece, who attended the Melbourne protests with me, has just succumbed this week, too.

An exceptionally intelligent women, with a great future ahead of her, who was wisely concerned about the longer term impacts of the vaccine, especially on her womanly functions. She had gone through much due to her stance, including social ostracism, losing her part time jobs, and not being able to attend her graduation (where she was awarded dux).

They won’t accept her enrolment into University without a vaccination certificate. It was the final straw. Very upset, very disheartened. This is like injecting long term uncertainty into people. No wonder the kids are having mass anxiety issues.

Fucking bastards.

There is a deafening silence in the media about RFK Jr’s devastating accusations against Fauci in his new book.
Normally the Globalist media rushes to defend Fauci when he is attacked (see e.g. when Rand Paul does it).

But there is nothing in the media to defend Fauci against the detailed allegations in the book of Fauci propagating the AIDS/HIV Hoax, Experimenting on orphaned children in NY without consent, or deliberately suppressing cheap and highly effective treatments for Covid, all of which cost thousands of lives.
Fauci himself has not disputed the allegations, but merely issued a very weak and baseless ad hominem attack against RFK
Does this mean the allegations are true?

Djokovic’s dad threatens to ‘gather on the streets’ if star isn’t let into Australia

His father, Srdan Djokovic, told Sputnik Serbia his son had been “held captive” for five hours and that it was not just a fight for Novak but “a fight for the whole world”.

“I have no idea what’s going on, they’re holding my son captive for five hours.

“This is a fight for the libertarian world, not just a fight for Novak, but a fight for the whole world.

“If they don’t let him go in half an hour, we will gather on the street, this is a fight for everyone.”

Tennis Dads – sheesh!

I would have thought Srdan had enough experience of catastrophically failed government to realise he’s not really helping little Novak.

Mate, I’m sorry to hear that. It’s one of the more terrifying potential long term effects of jabbing the whole population if rendering women unable to have children. It’s such a integral assumption and core part of what women are that I don’t like to think about the fury directed at those who forced that on them.

Queensland’s insistence that foreign arrivals quarantine for twice as long as COVID-infected locals is a “contradiction” that fails to take the “bigger picture into account”, according to a prominent British public health physician.

“It would be much more sensible for Australia’s quarantine policy if it wants to open itself up again to have an alternative to quarantine, which is maybe three negative lateral flow tests,” he said.

Lateral flow tests?
Not helpful.

Australia is currently struggling to cope with the RAT variant.

There is nothing to learn from RFK as he is a devoted, leftwing anti-vax zealot (all vaxes, not just covid) and would sit comfortably in the Australian greens. If RFK had his way, every single type of disease eradicated through vaccines would race back to torment humanity. There are obvious concerns with covid vaxes, but these aren’t the only ones RFK is advocating against. He’s against ALL of them. We know Fauci is a self-admitted liar and has no standing to be discussing anything to do with public health so there’s nothing knew to learn there. Spend more time in the kitchen instead of the web and I promise you will be in a healthier mental state than you are now. Stay away from the web as it’s not good for you. Senator Lambie told Sky News that Australia has not secured a deal with a Queensland manufacturer despite the Prime Minister often touting the importance of domestic manufacturing.

“There is something terribly wrong with this country, here is a man who goes on about manufacturing, manufacturing, and we’ve got this great company making this stuff in Queensland and has been selling this stuff to the US and other parts of the world for months? Where were we?”

We’ve now tried both models, Ender , and both aren’t great. We’ve tried bundling, which is the Foxtel model adopted from the US cable companies and we’re now trying the un-bundled example where you sign up to all sorts of shit like Netflix, Stan, Disney, Paramount etc. Neither model is ideal, but I think eventually we’ll end up with some sort of bundled model with major changes. Neither works well, I think, at the moment. We’re in the un-bundled stage now because of Netflix. All the movie studios saw the PE ratio Netflix was trading on and wanted a bit of that for themselves. I guess, in a way the market was telling them all to un-bundle and go their own way, but it’s not a great model for consumers. We’ll see.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s prosecutors seek inquiry into juror’s sexual abuse claim

Scotty David, a 35-year-old Manhattan resident, told Reuters that during deliberations, after some jurors questioned some recollections from two of Maxwell’s accusers, he shared his experience of having been sexually abused as a child.

“When I shared that, they were able to sort of come around on, they were able to come around on the memory aspect of the sexual abuse,” Scotty David said, referring to other jurors.

He added that reaching a unanimous verdict “wasn’t easy, to be honest.”

Pre trial, Maxwell’s jurors had been asked whether they or family members had personally experienced sexual abuse or assault.

This dude answered ‘no’.

An incredibly rare case of jury failure.

Stuck in 2001? The greens are the biggest provax party around. The extremist political wing of the Science! professional middle class.

They’re lying. A decent portion of their constituency is anti-vax anyway. They were against nuclear medicine until the time that we mocked them incessantly on the old Catallaxy when Jason Soon was running it. Someone alerted them and they took it off their manifesto. I’m pretty sure it was the quinnator who advised them.

It’s the same with vaccination. They just lying to keep their head above water. RFK in Australia would be vying with Bandt to run the Greens. He’s a moron and we’d be battling anthrax now if RFK had a say.

Bonnie and Clyde we’re not….

IN A BIZARRE series of events, police have laid charges after an elderly couple who went missing were located in a remote part of Central Australia, having travelled more than 1500km across the country.

Carol Lisle, 84, and Ralph “Terry” Gibbs, 80, were found with the assistance of truck drivers and local police on Tuesday, near the settlement of Warakurna in Western Australia, just shy of the Northern Territory border.

Ms Lisle, who is wheelchair-bound and has dementia and Parkinson’s disease, disappeared from a care facility in Mandurah, south of Perth on Sunday afternoon.

WA Police say Gibbs went to visit Ms Lisle at her care facility that day. Police allege when an opportunity presented itself, the 80-year-old removed her from the facility and placed her into his vehicle and drove away.

At the time, the man did not have the legal authority to remove the woman from the care facility, and the woman was incapable of making such a decision for herself, according to police.

It is further alleged Gibbs had planned to remove the woman from the facility and leave Western Australia, having made some preliminary preparations before the visit.

According to police, the manner in which Gibbs prepared and executed his plan put Ms Lisle’s health and safety at risk during the time spent in the vehicle, having not considered the high level of medical care the woman requires.

Gibbs was charged with deprivation of liberty and endanger life, health or safety of a person. He was refused bail and flown to Perth, and was due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The Australian’s Australian of the Year: Tom Calma and Marcia Langton in long, difficult journey to give Indigenous a voice

Paige Taylor
INDIGENOUS AFFAIRS CORRESPONDENT
@paigeataylor
11:00PM January 5, 2022
64 Comments

Tom Calma and Marcia Langton have navigated complex politics to deliver a blueprint with potential to forever change the way Australian governments make decisions, policies and laws affecting Indigenous Australians.

It seemed an improbably difficult task at the beginning of the global pandemic when the distinguished Aboriginal professors began to steer what Prime Minister Scott Morrison called the co-design of an Indigenous voice. Few knew what it was, and this stoked fear and strident criticism.

Some Australians – and their elected representatives – opposed an Indigenous voice on the grounds it could become a “third chamber” of parliament. However, the Morrison government went to the 2019 election with a commitment to define the voice first and then settle what legal form it should take: that is, whether it would be enshrined in legislation or in the constitution or both.

“The government has always supported giving Indigenous people more of a say at the local level,” Mr Morrison told parliament in February 2020 as debate grew louder about the government’s chosen path.

“We support the process of co-design of the voice because if we are going to change the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the ground, we need their buy-in to the matters and policies that affect them.”

Defining the voice has involved tireless work by Professors Calma and Langton, who are worthy nominees for The Australian’s Australian of the Year award. They co-chaired an advisory group of prominent Australians with differing views. Amid heavy scrutiny from both supporters of an Indigenous voice and sceptics, Professor Langton said: “People should wait to see the proposals before ruling support in or out.”

Professors Calma and Langton oversaw two other panels that explored what the voice could look like at a national, regional and local level. In all, they worked with 50 other mostly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, alongside Indigenous Australians Minister Ken Wyatt and his department, the National Indigenous Australians Agency, to write an interim report that gave Australia its first look at the Indigenous voice last January.

Once again, Manchin and Sinema are all that stand before a move to (i) remove or dilute the filibuster, which in turn leads to (ii) passing new legislation to “change” voting in the USA.
This project seems to be the latest one sponsored by Schumer, who said that the Senate has had modifications before, no big deal.
Yes, he also famously said a year ago that if they won the Georgia Senate run-off election they would “change America”, a fitting echo of Obama’s motto.

Lest we forget – in 2005 Schummer said: “Eliminating the filibuster would be a doomsday for democracy”.

But that’s securely stored in the forgetery now that the Dems desperately need to shove something down the throats of Americans.

“Mr Djokovic’s visa has been cancelled. Rules are rules, especially when it comes to our borders. No one is above these rules.”

If “rules are “rules why was he granted entry in the first instance?

Presumably because he either complied with those rules or was granted an exemption.

Now that decision has been reversed due to political intervention based on popular clamour.

Remember the days when Australians wanted politics kept out of sport?

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2022/jan/05/filming-cyclingmikey-dangerous-drivers-mike-van-erp-motorists-britain-roads-safer

As we chat, Mike van Erp keeps glancing at the line of vehicles queueing on the road in Hyde Park, London. Suddenly, he spots something. “Here we go,” he says, swinging around his sensible-looking blue touring bike, and pedalling away from the traffic lights. He edges along the stationary vehicles until he is parallel to a car. It is well over a minute before the driver looks up and spots him – and the camera strapped to his baseball cap.

When he returns, a grinning Van Erp tells me the man reacted badly to the realisation he was being caught on camera. Why the fury? The driver was using his phone as he waited for the traffic to move – and Van Erp recorded him doing it. In the coming months the man will most likely face a fine and six points on his driving licence, in turn triggering a significant jump in his insurance premium.

Van Erp, a 49-year-old professional carer, says he has now reported close to 1,000 law-breaking drivers to the police, with about 80% facing prosecution. After any court proceedings are finished, he posts the footage on his YouTube channel.

Why are Morristeen and Ghunt claiming that no one is above the country’s entry requirements when this is clearly not the case? (e.g. various Hollyweirdos).

If the Djoker is punted, what does that do to interest in the tournament? What are his chances of successfully appealing the visa withdrawal? Will he ever bother returning here if he is punted?

After booking my flight the original Compass was launched and I could have flown home for about $250 (admittedly 1990 dollars).

Morale – leave train travel to Tim Fisher and old farts.

Overnight land-based mass transport is a nightmare (or would be if you could get any sleep).
A friend and I decided to travel that way from Melbourne to Albury, doing about half the overnight journey. Pretty much the whole journey a fellow passenger was yelling out “there’s something wrong with this bus. I can tell. I’m a trained mechanic. There’s something wrong with this bus. I can tell. Or you could go the Documentary pack, which is National Geo and 14 channels of movies, and 5 channels of sport.

Or the History pack – the same except with the Hitler channel – sorry, History channel – and as above.

Or the Sports Pack – 15 channels of sport, and some movie channels etc.

Usually for about $70 a month.

It does come with a hard drive, so you can avoid adverts in you have copied something from one of the channels which have ads.

You can only copy two things at a time though.

If that’s the case, how do they know which channels are losing money and costing them resources they could put into the successful ones?
It looks to me that they are deliberately refusing a price signal to allocate those resources.

You forget that they can track whatever you watch through their boxen/software, so they can tell exactly what and how long you are watching so no price signal needed as their data is much more granular.

How many cheered for No Jab / No Play / No Pay?

I remember it.

People sounding the alarm bells about the system being built to be used to ‘lock out’ toddlers, all the way up to 2019 were assaulted with bi-yearly, becoming tri-yearly media pogroms against a strawman caricature called “antivaxxers”. People who should have known better lazily joined in on the media / twitter / mob pile ons – many understandably being too busy fighting a million other cultural battles to bother with parents with young children being subject to this new and advanced system of totalitarian coercion, surveillance, threats and ‘mandates’ before mandates were officially uncool.

What was happening, was 2010ish on, each year a fresh generation of fresh young parents would have their precious babies, then quickly start to learn the vast scale and incredibly totality of the vaccine apparatus and state’s claim of ownership over their children that has been built in the last 15 years. 5, 10, 15 ‘jabs’ for your toddler. Do not miss a single one, do not be a day late, you and your child will be punished and excluded efficiently and quickly. We see you, there is no escape, there are no exemptions (thanks Scott Morrison), there is no excuse, and you are a bad person and a selfish person and a bad parent if you so much as complain about this system.

Each new wave, a portion of parents would naturally react against the system, kick up a fuss on principle about the tyranny of it and so a caricature of the ‘anti-vaxxer’, like the ‘covidiot’ or the ‘trump voter’ was born in the bowels of public health and pharma marketing departments to suppress the new-parent angst. And each year, like clockwork, fake media wars were waged against the image of ‘anti-vaxxers’. Rather than the reality of concerned parents suddenly faced with, and unable to believe the vast and inescapable system of state medical control our children are now subject to. For freedom minded and forward thinking people the implications that the system we were navigating had for the future were undeniable.

This, right now, is that future.

So yes, hardcore long term actual “anti-vaxxers” like RFK, etc, are, in the same way that “crazy” Mcarthy / Bircher style anti-communists were, a valuable starting source of information about the depth, intricacies and failings, corruption of this fresh coercive vaccination system because they’re the ones who have been studying it.

You don’t have to like their interpretation of what they’ve been finding out on their travels, but you can’t deny what they’ve found.

Have other players been allowed visas who’ve not been vaxxed? (Apparently yes). Who are they?

Surprisingly, the ABC has given the most useful coverage. It would appear that Djokervic’s entry to the tournament was possible for an unvaccinated player (as he is) on three grounds:
1) a proven immune allergy to the vaccine
2) a heart condition
3) natural immunity provided by previous infection

It is almost certain that he applied for exemption on No 3. as we know that he contracted the original Wuhan strain.

But here is the kicker: his application was examined by two independent medical committees who were not informed of the identity of the applicant.

If, as appears certain, he was granted an exemption on the grounds of natural immunity, congratulations to the committees – because, for the first time that I am aware, “experts” are acknowledging in this country what is known throughout the world of Immunology (101), and that is – natural immunity trumps vaccination.

I think this is a fantastic opportunity to “follow the Science”!!!!!

I doubt Foxtel even care who is watching what channel. They are forced to buy packaged content (either sport, new release or back catalogue). They would be concerned with total subscribers, av revenue per user and churn. Basically the same economics as mobile phone services. The same pricing strategy is seen across many industries.

Then six weeks passed:

Australian Open chief Craig Tiley has revealed unvaccinated players have been granted exemptions to play in the Australian Open, as the decision on Novak Djokovic’s participation looms large.

“Who are they?”

“Some of those (players) have indicated that they’re here, but that’s up to the athlete, to disclose and [decide] whether they want to share that information.”

I think we’ll find that the Feds have run a fine toothed comb over Novax’s exemption grounds and, following ATAGI’s advice, have over-ruled the exemption on the grounds that his case of covid was c. 20 months ago and Australia only accepts a 6 month window of natural immunity at present. That’s my understanding, anyway. If Djokovic goes to court we’ll likely find out more.

Or you could go the Documentary pack

When I got Netflix I saw ‘Documentaries’ as one of the categories and eagerly selected it expecting to find as yet unviewed programs about, well Nazis of course – a documentary mainstay, history with an emphasis on people and events that contributed to our modern world (so the Aztecs would not be as prominent as the Athenians), technology, new discoveries in science, nature, and a miscellany including such things as mafia hitmen, the history of bread, the quirks of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s etc.

Alas, it was not to be.

Well represented in their bill of fare were shows about aliens and alien conspiracies, drugs, drug cartels (for the various grisly terminations of employment I expect), and shows about the various evils in the world such as fast food and capitalism.

There were a couple of shows about Obama, one being an interview with David Letterman and the other about his final year in office. There were also a few shows about Trump, all with the expected contemptuous slant.

I get the feeling the programmers are more focused on causes and activism than knowledge.

The information from the gov health site is that the vaxx can be deferred for up to 6 months since past infections reduce the chance for reinfection for ‘at least 6 months’.
That it can be deferred for up to 6 months might not be the same as saying it cannot be deferred beyond 6 months – especially since it is noted that immunity is for ‘at least 6 months’.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Special agents involved in last year’s ‘January 6th Insurrection Against Democracy™’ are set to reunite as guests of honor at an extravagant gala hosted by the FBI. The event will reportedly feature live music and entertainment, with comedian James Corden acting as master of ceremonies.

Numerous celebrities and public figures are expected to be in attendance, including former FBI Director James Comey. “I’m really excited to be relevant again,” he said, excitedly rubbing his hands together.

According to sources, several private citizens have questioned why taxpayer money is being used to throw a lavish party for government officials. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki addressed these concerns during her daily press briefing.

“Well, first I would say, that President Biden is committed to the Build Back Better™ bill,” Psaki reasoned. “Therefore, he cares for the American people and, as such, cares deeply about how their money is utilized. So, obviously, it’s fine.”

Psaki went on to applaud the FBI for all their hard work that cannot be disclosed.
The event will not be open to the public.

Maybe they can all joke and laugh about this:

Poll: Many U.S. Voters Believe FBI Is Biden’s ‘Personal Gestapo’ (4 Jan)

Many U.S. voters think the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is Democrat President Joe Biden’s “personal Gestapo,” according to a Rasmussen poll released Tuesday.

“Roger Stone, an adviser to former President Donald Trump, has said there is ‘a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI who are using the FBI … as Joe Biden‘s personal Gestapo,’” the poll report states. “Forty-six percent of voters agree with Stone’s assessment, including 29 percent who Strongly Agree. Thirty-eight percent disagree with Stone’s claim, including 25 percent who Strongly Disagree.”

Forty six percent of Americans think the FBI are now the Gestapo. I suspect given usual poll bias that will be an undercount.

It was back in Jason Soon’s day at Catallaxy. He had nothing but contempt for the idea that this was an attack on liberty. It was an attack on Christianity and that was cool from his perspective.
