For Wordle fans.

First letter, ‘f’. Vowels a, u. Last letter, ‘d’.

Ms Steggall received, but did not declare, eight individual “pledges” from the Kinghorn family’s trust in the lead-up to the 2019 election, in which she defeated former prime minister Tony Abbott in the seat of Warrigah.

Each pledge was below the $13,800 threshold above which donations have to be declared.

But according to a review by the Australian Electoral Commission, Ms Steggall only received one cheque from the Kinghorn Family Trust.

“Notwithstanding the donation consisted of eight individual pledges, one cheque of $100,000 was given to Warringah Independent Ltd from The Kinghorn Family Trust,” it said.

“Sadly, discrimination on the basis of faith is all too real. It might be a Muslim woman or a Sikh man being vilified on the streets … Labor is committed to ending this vilification and discrimination,” Albanese said.”

Two things to note.
The obvious one – approved minority groups are the focus. Unapproved groups aren’t mentioned.
Also “on the streets”. That is, no mention of, e.g. health professionals being criminalised if they won’t help someone get an abortion, or schools being allowed to select employees based on adherence to the school’s values. It will be a nothingburger except for persecuting anyone who makes an unapproved comment about Islam within the hearing of a grievance monger.

I’m going to take a different tack on that.

I’d suggest 2/3 of California school children are Hispanic, Black, Filipino or other minority ethnicity and the Democrats haven’t sold their message very well to them/the minorities are suspicious of government & wilfully non-compliant. Good for them!

Imagine if Pharma’s budget for, hmm, innovative marketing, was a modest $2 per dose? That would be $500 million washing around senior politicians, public health nabobs, regulators, union leaders, media ‘thought leaders’ and the like.

In some corrupt African or South American shithole such money could buy a lot of enthusiastic unanimity.

Fortunately corruption is unknown in this country.

“CNN is leading the war against Rogan….just like they did with Alex Jones. Like with Jones, they want Rogan disappeared.

They won’t succeed.”

CNN’s Mr Potato Head whines “Why don’t people trust us, we have fact checkers etc etc, and Joe Rogan just wings it”.
Joe Rogan’s advice to CNN: Don’t lie. When you make a mistake, admit it on-air and apologise.

Nobody who watches Rogan thinks he is the font of all truth and light and he doesn’t pretend to be. Rogan doesn’t pander to his audience, he just keeps being himself, tries to show both sides of any argument, apologises if he gets something wrong, and asks the kind of questions his viewers might ask if they had the chance. He drinks, smokes the odd cigar, has the odd bit of weed, and treats everyone on his show with respect, allowing them to answer in full, typically over a 2-3 hour show.

Perhaps Joe knows what he’s talking about – after all, Stelter is lucky to get 800,000 viewers, Rogan gets more than 10 million.

Personally, I wish I had the time to watch more of Rogan – but 3 hours a day, 5 days a week is just too much.

The entire MSM needs to ask itself why people like Rogan are doing so much better than they are. Instead, they double and triple down saying the popular ones are “bad” and give out “misinformation” and keep saying “trust us”.

Even if Spotify caves in and dumps him, he already has the offer from Rumble and the guarantee of no censorship. He’s not going to go away, but he may have to move (again).

Keep in mind that this is the same hypocritical slug who, only two weeks ago, smeared Gina Rinehart as a “denier” and blasted Olympic athletes for taking sponsorship money from Rinehart.

“Zali Staggall hits back at media claims she failed to properly declare political donations she received from a family that invested in coal mining.

Independent MP Zali Steggall has been forced to deny what she described as a “misleading” newspaper headline on Monday claiming she failed to declare a $100,000 political donation from a family with one member who had significant coal investments.

The headline published in today’s Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, its sister publication in Melbourne, stated: “Climate warrior Zali Steggall failed to declare six-figure donation from family trust of coal investor”.

In its report, the SMH claimed Ms Steggall received a “$100,000 cheque” from the Kinghorn Family Trust, to help fund her campaign to win Warringah away from the Liberals at the 2019 federal election.

The trust is headed by prominent businessman John Kinghorn, a former investor in, and director of, Cascade Coal and Felix Resources. It was sold to a Chinese coal company for $3.5 billion in 2009.

The SMH reported that the $100,000 had not been made public even though it exceeded the Australian Electoral Commission’s (AEC) compliance disclosure threshold.

In a strongly worded statement released on Monday morning via Twitter, Ms Steggall sought to clarify the issue and said the receipt of the $100,000 had been disclosed in November 2019.

She said her campaign received eight individual pledges from members of the Kinghorn family in 2019.

Ms Steggall tweeted that the AEC later considered it to be one single donation, “so the return was amended in 2021 to reflect that”.

“Let’s get the facts straight. There was no undisclosed money received by my campaign.”

In her statement she wrote: “The money donated was at all times disclosed.

“These are donations from a number of members of a large family who nearly all live in Warringah.

“The headline today in The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age was misleading.

“The headline claimed that Zali Steggall “failed to declare” the donation from a family trust.

“This is incorrect.

The potentially damaging headlines come as she prepares her re-election campaign at the upcoming election.

“All the amounts received were disclosed in accordance with the requirements in November 2019.”

Ms Steggall wrote that her campaign received more than 1700 individual donations towards her 2019 election campaign.

She also defended claims that she was taking donations from coal investors.

“If you ruled out taking donations from anyone who has invested in coal at one time or another, you pretty well rule out everyone as most people have, through their superannuation.

“What is important is for people to now turn away from fossil fuel investment and support Australia’s transition to clean energy and support MPs with solutions.”

Police too – the ones who refused to participate in the authoritarianism and resigned won’t be coming back.
This all appears to be quite deliberate – building COVID “camps” that won’t be ready for a year or more is also worrying.

Still, the Freedom convoy(s), the dropping of all restrictions including mask mandates, vax mandates and vax passports in several EU countries and US states is most encouraging – especially the Canadian and NZ protestors refusing to leave and NOT being violent. They will win – the MSM and big tech cannot (yet, anyway) stop all the video and livestreaming showing these people are NOT big bad criminals, they are just ordinary people who are fed up.
And let’s face it – if Canada stops the truckers from driving international trips, who’ll move all the goods? If the truckers pull the hoses on the air brakes, take the keys and walk away, who’ll move the trucks when the only people with the gear to do it get most of their trade from the very same drivers? If you destroy the truckers, who are mostly older with no-one trained to replace them, how do the big box stores, supermarkets and fuel suppliers get the goods people need, let alone get them to their buyers?
The various govts know this, but they are desperate to try and win anyway, even claiming the backdowns were not because of the protests but because the science changed. No-one believes it except the MSM and no-one believes the MSM anymore either.

Just had a quick chat with Daughter. She is still hyped and super angry about wicked tactics used against the protesters. They actually sounded a warning siren and then depoyed LRADs, sonic weapons which caused headaches, palpitations and general malaise.

She had researched sonic weapons before leaving on Friday and so she easily recognised them on federal 4WDs and on Parliament House. Many AFP looking evil and threatening in their black riot gear. One spied some children near the front of the crowd and walked over to suggest to the parents that the kids might be more “more comfortable” back a bit.

I’m shocked that a democratic government would do this to its own people, especially whilst excusing BLM and ER protesters. Aussie Cossack was in the middle of it.

Don’t do that please.

One of my rare wins was to write to council when they did a renewbulls-to-power-council-and-save-the-planet survey thingie. My submission was that they should not build windmills. Nor solar thermal. Lots of references attached. Managed even to insert a citation from Noam Chomsky against windmills. That was gold standard, since council has been wet Labor for roughly forever.

To my surprise I was rung up by council enviro person. Talked for an hour. So I explained: it would be really un-nice to splat our white bellied sea eagles and black kites, which frequent Lake Mac and surrounds. Oh, says council enviro person. Then says I: future enviro legislation may well come down hard on bird munchers. But solar panels are fairly harmless and council has lots of roofs to put solar panels onto.

Council enviro person asks “but what about Worming?” Yes, says I, except solar is fairly harmless and bird munchers munch birds. Oh, ok says council enviro person.

Result: every council building now has solar panels on it and they haven’t built any windmills. 😀

Saw the white bellied sea eagle pair sailing overhead as I was treadlying a couple days ago. A fine thing to see.

He and his lawyers don’t seem to be getting the message.
Last week they made noises about kicking it upstairs to the Supreme Court (daddy’s old stamping ground), I think in an attempt to pressure the Local Court into granting bail.
The Supreme Court have basically said “Take a number, buddy, and we’ll get to you, maybe next month some time” which effectively kicks it back downstairs to the Local Court.
Too smart by half.
They were after a largely ‘unencumbered’ bail. That is, “I need mental elf treatment, so release me to the care of Dr Bloggs at the Sydney Clinic”. Dr Bloggs then effectively manages the conditions of bail, and when he decides the ‘aspiring florist’ is well enough, releases him to the community.

Roberts-Smith pressured me to lie about his affair, estranged wife tells court
By Michaela Whitbourn
February 14, 2022 — 12.19pm

The estranged wife of war veteran Ben Roberts-Smith has told the Federal Court she discovered her husband was having an affair when his girlfriend turned up at the couple’s Sunshine Coast home with a black eye and told her she had been pregnant with his child.

Emma Roberts, who appeared in the witness box in Mr Roberts-Smith’s defamation case for the first time on Monday, said her husband subsequently pressured her to lie to the press in 2018 and say the pair were separated at the time of his affair. She told the court they did not separate until January 2020.

Ms Roberts, who married the former special forces soldier in December 2003, said her husband gestured to the couple’s children in 2018 and said, “If you don’t lie, you will lose them.”

“I knew at that point I had to lie for him,” Ms Roberts said.

Mr Roberts-Smith convinced her to appear with him in a photo for a front-page story in The Australian in August 2018, she said, after details of his relationship appeared in The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald.

“I said I did not want to do it,” she told the court. She did not speak to the reporter who wrote the story but appeared in the photo.

Mr Roberts-Smith launched defamation proceedings in 2018 against The Age and the Herald, owned by Nine, and The Canberra Times, now under separate ownership, over a series of articles that year that he says accuse him of being a war criminal and of punching his former girlfriend in the face.

He denies all wrongdoing. The media outlets are seeking to rely on a defence of truth.

The former Special Air Service soldier told the Federal Court last year that his former girlfriend, dubbed Person 17 to protect her identity, was “extremely intoxicated” after a dinner at Parliament House in Canberra in March 2018 and had fallen down a flight of stairs. He said he tended to the bump on her head at their hotel.

Ms Roberts said Person 17 appeared out of the blue at the couple’s home on August 6, 2018, and used the mobile phone of the couple’s housekeeper to call Ms Roberts, who was at the supermarket.

Person 17 described herself as “friend of your husband’s”, Ms Roberts said, and “she asked me to come back to the house”.

Ms Roberts drove home immediately and was confronted with a “crying” Person 17 sitting in the garden with Ms Roberts’ parents, she said.

“I asked her when they had last seen each other, and she said the night prior,” she said.

Ms Roberts said Person 17 showed her text messages between her and Mr Roberts-Smith, and she spent the next three hours reading details of their relationship.

Ms Roberts said Person 17 was “wearing a pink and black dress [and] black shoes” and a “big pair of black sunglasses”. She asked Person 17 to remove the sunglasses and saw that she had a black eye, Ms Roberts said.

She said Person 17 told her that she had fallen down a set of stairs while drunk at Parliament House.

Ms Roberts said she asked Person 17 why she was not going to be seeing Mr Roberts-Smith any more “and she kept pointing to her black eye, saying ‘because of this’.”

She said Person 17 didn’t answer when Ms Roberts’ mother asked: “Are you saying that Ben did that to you?”

Under cross-examination by Mr Roberts-Smith’s barrister, Bruce McClintock, SC, Ms Roberts agreed Person 17 said during that conversation that “she had embarrassed” the former soldier.

Ms Roberts told the court that Person 17 told her she had fallen pregnant during the relationship and it was “definitely Ben’s” child, but “she no longer had the pregnancy at that time”.

Ms Roberts was initially expected to be a witness for her husband and to say the couple were separated when he started a relationship with Person 17. She told the court the information she had previously given Mr Roberts-Smith’s lawyers was wrong, and she was being pressured by him to lie.

Mr Roberts-Smith told the court last year that domestic violence was “morally reprehensible” and his parents had instilled in him a “very good set of values”. He had no tolerance for anybody who would raise a hand to a woman, he said.

The former SAS soldier has given evidence that he separated from Ms Roberts in late September 2017 and they remained separated for about six months. Ms Roberts said on Monday that this was not the case.

He told the court that Person 17 told him in April 2018 that she was pregnant and they agreed to terminate the pregnancy. But he said he suspected the pregnancy was not real and he was being “manipulated so that I would stay in the relationship”.

Mr Roberts-Smith launched separate Federal Court action against Ms Roberts on the eve of his defamation trial, seeking to find out if she gave confidential information to the newspapers’ lawyers.

In response to that action, Ms Roberts was ordered to provide certain documents to the court and explain how she obtained them, while the newspapers and their lawyers in the defamation proceedings were subpoenaed for any documents Ms Roberts had given them. Ms Roberts complied with the orders, and no documents arose from the subpoenas.

Mr Roberts-Smith’s lawyers subsequently made an application to have Ms Roberts cross-examined. Justice Robert Bromwich rejected that application. He said many of the assertions made against Ms Roberts had been “shown to be ill-founded”.

Mr Roberts-Smith has now filed an application for leave to appeal against that ruling.

The trial before Justice Anthony Besanko continues.

Mark Latham reports that 2000 permanent NSW teachers have been stood down over VAX mandates, 500 support staff plus temps.

At a time of critical teacher shortages and RAT testing in NSW schools, over 2000 permanent teachers and 450 support staff have been sacked or stood down by vax mandates.
Many more temporary and casual teachers have also been terminated.
And not a peep from Teachers Federation

That’s an incredible number.

How many nurses?

I begin to seriously doubt the “90%” vaccination numbers. They’re using them as a marketing tool and always have. I say the real number is 70-85%.

Silly prospective tourists. They haven’t yet realised a key aspect of Building Back Better is that every kind of tourism is going to be forbidden, apart from sustainable eco-tourism. If you’re not sure what that means, well…here’s a simple test: if you’re not arriving and departing via your own private jet, you are by definition one of those problematic excess tourists that ruins cultures and pristine environments.

Commando Cleric Pokes Head Up – Takes Heavy Return Fire

BY MARK MEGAHAN FEBRUARY 13, 2022

On February 7, “commando” cleric Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò issued a statement of solidarity with the Canadian “Freedom Convoy” truckers. He’s been driven into hiding by his role as a guerrilla general in the war against the Deep Church and New World Order evil. Every time he pokes his head up to criticize gene therapy “marketed” as a vaccine, ranking church officials snipe back in the press. They’re firing at him with the media version of assault weapons this time, for backing the trucker revolution.

Tassie Tigers – they’re long gone. Back in the 1800’s people were working and living in nearly every part of the bush, way more than now. None of them saw the Tigers, it would’ve been well known they were around if they survived. It maybe different in Irian Jaya as the tribes are remote, the area is still relatively unexplored (by whites) there could be larger species still unknown to the modern world but the locals would know about them. A small deer like animal was found for the first time in Vietnam in the 90’s.

But Australia? No. There’s no Tigers, no Panthers and no large unknown animals to find.

Dr Faustus says:
February 14, 2022 at 11:48 am

The curse of managerialism, where, generalist “managers” are unable to comprehend the technical aspects of their job.

Nothing more dispiriting than sitting in a roomful of AEMO senior management, law/arts graduates to a person, watching them glaze over at the dull technical details of the impacts of cycling on boiler steel stress fractures, cold-start issues, intermittent load discrimination, 415v transformer restrictions, gas line pack, reservoir management, and so on.

That’s not managerialism, that’s just plain stupidity mixed with ideology.

I am proud to say that I successfully rescued a couple of big IT projects which were in dire trouble while knowing nothing worth mentioning about the technical aspects. What I did know was how to hire and listen to people who knew what they were talking about and whom I trusted. Plus a finely tuned BS detector, and some basic principles of project management.

My technical knowledge of electricity generation and transmission is not much better, but in this case the problems are obvious (and have been for years) even to people like me. The only reason they have been glossed over is politics.

You’ve heard of conspiracy theories, but have you heard of:
(drumroll) The Doubt Machine?

Robin Williams has been wrapping himself in the Science Flag since the 1970s on the ABC. He has championed numerous characters like Paul Ehrlich over that time, and has been an ardent climate change proponent. Things have come to a terrible no pasaran moment when, according to himself, Cecilia Tomori, and Nature Magazine, there’s a huge cohort consisting of media owners, Facebook included, libertarians (the “new right”), and assorted commentators – probably like Joe Rogan – who distort da science and convert the narrative by perfidious alchemy to Doubt, Misinformation and Disinformation.
Scientists need training in debate in order to be more definite and less vague.

We were on a cruise which went, in part, through waters just north-east of Somalia. For three days the ship was “blacked out” at night, no passengers were allowed on deck and we steamed at full speed, making it harder for us to be boarded. Fire hoses were also rigged at various locations around the decks, and sonic disrupters set up on heavy-duty tripods, deployed as darkness fell and removed at dawn, probably so as not to spook the passengers.

https://science.howstuffworks.com/can-sound-wave-kill.htm

Humans can only hear sound waves between 20 and 20,000 Hz, but sound waves can still affect us below that threshold. If you sit in front of a subwoofer with the frequency at 19 Hz, even with the volume turned up to 100 dB, you won’t hear anything — but you’ll feel the vibrations. In fact, at 19 Hz, your eyes start to go all wonky because that happens to be the resonant frequency of the human eyeball. If you’re exposed to 177 dB sound waves at 0.5 to 8 Hz, it can start messing with your lungs, making your breathing erratic and literally shaking your bones around. Short-term exposure can damage your joints, but the effects of chronic exposure can include nausea and visual impairment

A FORMER member of Zach Rolfe’s Immediate Response Team would draw his Glock if confronted with an edged weapon and be “100 per cent” prepared to use it, but “it’s not about trying to kill” anyone, a court has heard.
Senior Constable Shane McCormack told Rolfe’s murder trial on Monday while he was not one of the IRT members deployed to Yuendumu on the day Kumanjayi Walker was killed, he had been on the squad for about 1.5 years at the time.

Under cross examination by Rolfe’s barrister, David Edwardson QC, Const McCormack said he was familiar with the phrase “knife equals gun” from his work across two police forces in both Australia and New Zealand.

“It means that if you present a knife to me, I’m not going to take out a knife as well, we’re not going to have a knife fight, that’s not how it’s going to work,” he said.

“I’ve been given a tool to protect me and other people, the government sees fit for me to have that tool – you take out a knife you’ve increased the level of force I may use.

“It doesn’t even have to be a knife … if I see someone there with a baseball bat I’m going to draw my gun, a hammer I’m going to draw my gun.”

Const McCormack said there was no limitation on how many shots he would fire and it would depend on what was required to incapacitate the person posing the threat.

He said it was a question of “how many I deem to stop that person doing what they’re doing”.

“We don’t go to work to have to discharge our firearm, at the end of the day we’re here to help people, not hurt people,” he said.

“However if those times come, I’m the one that turns around and says ‘This is how many rounds I believe will stop them doing what they’re doing’.

“So it’s not about trying to kill them, it’s about trying to stop them doing the whole reason I had to use force in the first place.”

Mr Edwardson produced Const McCormack’s Glock holster with a replica pistol inside to help him demonstrate “a state of readiness” for the jury.

“A state of readiness could be in several ways,” Const McCormack said.

“I could have my hand on the gun, I could have unclicked the top bit, I might not have unclicked the top guard bit, but yeah of course I’m in a state of readiness.”

Rolfe has pleaded not guilty to all charges and the trial continues.

None of those systems are anywhere near the type supposedly used on the Cuban embassy. That is what I’m talking about and none of those weapons explained on your link go close to what was described as having been used in Havana. The closest you have linked to is a stun-like grenade, but that’s not what we’re talking about.

What the hell is a sonic disrupter?

Sorry, JC, I only know what I was told by one of the security guys we befriended on the ship. As he explained it, it generates a “noise” but at a frequency you can’t actually hear. But at close range it can affect your vision and your sense of balance — making it even harder to board a ship travelling at 25 knots, or to aim a weapon.

Why did the Federal Police use their LRAD Sonic weapons against peaceful demonstrators at the Canberra rally? According to Morrison, people are still allowed to demonstrate peacefully, so why were these weapons deployed?

(Wikipedia) – Use and deployment

Extremely high-power sound waves can disrupt or destroy the eardrums of a target and cause severe pain or disorientation. This is usually sufficient to incapacitate a person. Less powerful sound waves can cause humans to experience nausea or discomfort.

There were children in the crowd, is it government policy that the children they can’t kill or injure through their jabbing program will be made deaf?

Which minister is responsible for the Federal Police?

Listening to Greg Hunt on Sky New Chris Kenny. Specifically asked about dropping mandates, masks and cops losing jobs etc.

Goes around in circles. Takes credit for aged care staff vax rate but blames other mandates on states. At same time going on about importance of getting booster.

Good question on aged and comorbidities. Agrees mild. Says death rate 0.1%. Lose 50,000 year in pallative care or 1,000 per week normally. That figure alone shows our Covid elderly deaths are insignificant even if you assumed totally due to Covid which we know they are not.

Kenny tried to pin him down but Hunt just waffling and wont concede vax not needed for most. Another indication to me the vax train is going to continue as they cant concede pointless.

As I have said before watch where he ends up after leaves Parliament.

But we’re talking about a so-called weapon that does NOT exist of the type those hysterical Americans were frightened of in Cuba and elsewhere

Subsonics, below 40 Hertz, played loudly at over 100 db, can have some very unpleasant effects, JC.

I note the cops in the Aussie Cossack clip were wearing ear plugs. This is fairly good reason for thinking that there really was an acoustic weapon being used.

Sure, having the side of your head planted next to a loud speaker will also be unpleasant. The so-called sonic weapon supposedly used in Havana could travel great distance, go right through brick walls and only impact Americans. I believe that, but many others would think it’s hysterical nonsense. 🙂

The so-called sonic weapon supposedly used in Havana could travel great distance, go right through brick walls

If you take two ultrasonic beams, which can go through brick walls, and can be sent in narrow beams, you can focus them inside a person’s head. Then you change the frequency of one with respect to the other, to scan through infrasonic beat frequency in the intersection of the beams. Inside your head.

I could probably scramble your brain, given enough energy. Wanna try the experiment?

She had researched sonic weapons before leaving on Friday and so she easily recognised them on federal 4WDs and on Parliament House. Many AFP looking evil and threatening in their black riot gear. One spied some children near the front of the crowd and walked over to suggest to the parents that the kids might be more “more comfortable” back a bit.

I’m shocked that a democratic government would do this to its own people, especially whilst excusing BLM and ER protesters. Aussie Cossack was in the middle of it.

JC, I’m not claiming that what is being used in can’tbra uses ultrasonic beams, the size of the apparatus makes infrasonics more likely, and you can’t beam those like an electric torch. But you can beam ultrasonics like a torch. And the reason only Americans were affected just might be because the beams were only pointed at. Americans.
