I think Zelenskyy is kosher, since corrupt countries with fairly real elections often elect outsiders as President. That’s the case in Haiti and the Philippines for example. So it makes sense that a handsome high profile comedian would win in Ukraine, since the people are fed up with the greasy career pollies.

Bruce you were Maidan and Poreshenko fan boy. It’s good that you’ve left that nonsense behind but this sort of stuff is an extension of that. Zelensky is just another installed puppet. As Khrushchev was to Stalin, Zelensky is to Poreshenko. An installed figure to give the fixed-regime fake legitimacy after the “troubles” (and tasks) of the violent revolutionary strong men are finished and the dust has cleared. Declaring Poreshenko a pro Russian traitor was Zelensky’s “Secret Speech” moment.

There hasn’t been a legitimate election in Ukraine since 2010 – when they voted for the”wrong” candidate and “the west” went in and fixed their little mistake. Every single thing since in that failed anti-democratic puppet state has been as tightly controlled as fake elections in Iraq.

I mean, how can they both be shelling the eastern regions, telling everyone they’re as Ukraine as Kiev and are not allowed to separate, but tell everyone that their votes don’t count towards the presidency? As long as those regions remain in Ukraine but have no political power, the Ukraine “president” is definitionally illegitimate. That is the paradox, perhaps it was a faustian bargain to make the post maidan junta work, but it is unmovable and has killed the country stone cold dead.

I enjoyed Gez’ comment waaaay up thread about the nonsense of 1 in 100 year floods.

Landscape changes and with it, runoff coefficients. What might have been a fully absorbent forest floor may have become grassed paddocks beaten down by livestock. Or worse, concrete and roofs.

It’s really just a way to get attention, and if used often enough becomes another “meh” moment.

So the dills in the media add another zero to make it sound super scary.

“Our Values” Ukraine has a Ministry of Truth.

From the 2019 election:

The Ministry of Information Policy (MIP) sits at the top of a Soviet-era building just off Khreshchatyk, Kyiv’s sweeping main boulevard, where relics of czarism and communism mix with more eclectic modern architecture. Founded in 2015, the ministry is charged with protecting Ukraine’s information space. Its logo, the state seal adorned with four USB cords, makes clear where the government sees the biggest threat: online.

Here’s Ukraines Ministry of Information Policy deputy chair’s stance on freedom:

Zolotukhin bristles when I ask him about the threat such actions might pose to freedom of speech in Ukraine. What use is democracy, he asks, if a commitment to freedom of speech is used to defend lies?

Sounds very…USSR right?

Uses American NGO’s to brainwash students:

Along with Zolotukhin’s efforts, Ukraine’s Parliament is considering two draft laws that would criminalize the “dissemination of false information” and introduce temporary bans on outlets spreading disinformation during election periods, as well as further empower the government to block websites it considers a threat to national security. At the same time, the authorities are investing in critical thinking and media-literacy programs that have seen success: Students exposed to a training program implemented by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education in partnership with an American NGO, IREX, were twice as likely to be able to identify hate speech

It could be days before anyone can get a decent pumpkin spice soy latte mocha chino. If that’s not what a war is like, what is?

Saw on the Nein news an interview with a kiddies football director. The flood had lifted all the astroturf into funky concentric rings, and unusable. His opinion: “It’s horrendous, it’s heartbreaking.”
They’ve got 1100 juniors who won’t be able to play there for a few weeks. That’s not heartbreaking. Heartbreaking is people’s houses being washed away.
Kids missing a few games of footy. Jeeeeesus.

Also for Famer Gez,
You can download the city’s flood history from the Lismore city web site. It goes up to 2018.
As river guages are still currently reading over 12m, the flooding yesterday had to be over 13m AHD.
There is no flood that high in the history back to 1870, although 1974 and 1954 got close. What is amazing is that it has taken more than 150 years to have a “1 in 100 year” flood. So it was going to happen within a decade as it was overdue.

A VACUUM BOMB.

The Russians used a vacuum bomb.

FFS.

Sounds like a translation for a Thermobaric or Fuel-Air Bomb.

Given the idea of such a weapon is generate massive overpressure and that a partial vacuum tends to occur as the ignited air rarifies post-detonation, it is not uncommon to misname them as such.

Such weapons have been common types of Russian / Warsaw Pacair-droppable ordnance since the late 1970s. The RPO-A ‘Schmel’ rocket-assisted flamethrower is a handheld infantry weapon that uses a similar type of warhead. The common-as-candy RPG-7 has the thermobaric TGB-7V warhead as one of its available ammunition natures.

Nasty stuff, all round.

Or do you do the smart thing & collect them?
Keep the ones you want & sell the surplus.
They don’t give a shit about who’s in change.

Rex:

Manoeuvre warfare is about speed of advance, but also balancing the allocation of strength . No intelligent attacker wants to get his spearheads bogged down, but he also does not want to leave strong pockets of resistance in territory that is nominally ‘his,’ because his forces lack the strength to at least temporarily subdue or even partially reduce them while the follow-up forces arrive.

but also balancing the allocation of strength

And there’s the critical issue that echoed through the entire campaign. The armoured divisions kept outpacing the Motorised divisions and the infantry in general, walked. This left the Motorised units to close the encirclements which leaked badly.
It also meant the Motorised units took a lot more casualties and they didn’t seem to get the required equipment and personnel replacements they needed.
This is just personal opinion but IIRC there were only about a dozen Motorised divisions when the campaign really needed about forty of them. Germany of course couldn’t supply the fuel or trucks. There was no point in leaving some of the Panzergrenadier Battalions from the Panzer units to assist the encirclement because they were needed to protect the tanks – that was their job.
The hurry up and move forward orders meant their were large numbers of Soviets who were able to escape into the Pripet Marshes and continue the struggle.
Perhaps a dozen Cavalry divisions would have made a difference.

May you live in interesting times.

No surprises there. Sort of expect an announcement about grains as well. I suspect the ripple effect will see consequences beyond what many expect, similar to the Canadian bank seizures. Many of the alternatives are already in place, all it takes is for them to be used.

I suspect it might depend on the nature of the target to be destroyes- ODAB-500 fuel-air bombs will have a greater effect on infantry and light vehicles with overhead protection (bigger, longer-lasting blast effects in a confined space than an equivalent weight HE bomb) or when striking in built-up areas and fortifications.

If Russian infantry have been using RPO-As to clear Ukrainian troops out of fighting positions, then you might see similar and widespread reports of their use.

I also forgot to mention that the Ukrainians have access to the same aerial and ground munition types as the Russians. So if they choose to use them to mess up a Russian advance or captured position, then general confusion and a savvy propaganda effort will see the invaders get blamed.

B) Don’t know the language.

C) The bar service outside Kiev is appalling.

Just like Vietnam, where practically no reporter ever bothered venturing out beyond the safest areas of Saigon, and just reported the rumours doing the bar rounds. And the few who did were often no less dishonst, just more crazy-brave.

Rolfe put himself at risk: expert
Amos Aikman
Northern Correspondent
@amosaikman
8:18PM February 28, 2022

Zachary Rolfe and his Northern Territory Police partner put themselves at risk by rushing into a dimly-lit home to confront “high-risk” offender Kumanjayi Walker when they had “all the time in the world” to prepare to tackle him safely, a court has heard in expert evidence.

The two young officers were in the outback community of Yuendumu to support local staff and help arrest Walker, a troubled Aboriginal teenager wanted for breaching a court order and for threatening two policemen with an axe three days prior.

Constable Rolfe shot Walker three times within minutes of their first encounter. Defence lawyers in Constable Rolfe’s murder trial have argued he reacted to a surprise attack with scissors. But crown prosecutors are eager to persuade the jury Constable Rolfe placed himself in jeopardy by not following his training.

On Monday, the NT Supreme Court heard from Acting Superintendent Andrew Barram, a senior officer and martial arts expert who, over a 25-year career, has been involved in delivering police firearms and defensive tactics training and has provided guidance and reports on the appropriate use of force.

He told the jury: “It doesn’t appear they (Constable Rolfe and his partner) followed their training. The first thing immediately apparent when Mr Walker comes into view is that he’s got his hand in his pocket,” he said.

“If you’ve got someone that you even suspect may be armed, the first thing you’re going to want to do is see their hands … they could’ve done any number of things rather than going in there and putting themselves in proximity to him.”

The jury has heard Constable Rolfe and three colleagues were not following a plan drawn up by superiors to arrest Walker safely with the help of a dog handler. Instead, on the evening of Saturday November 9 (the night before the arrest was scheduled), they drove around Yuendumu “gathering intelligence”, seeking to arrest Walker independently.

Crown prosecutor Philip Strickland SC played Acting Superintendent Barram body-worn video footage of Rolfe and his partner searching the house where the axe incident took place. Acting Superintendent Barram noted Rolfe disengaged the retention device on his pistol, which “showed there’s a readiness to use the firearm”.

“If you’re then going to do a search of the house like that, you would certainly consider getting the child out of the house … bullets can go through walls, doors, et cetera,” Acting Superintendent Barram said.

Defence Barrister David Edwardson QC has suggested Constable Rolfe had no option but to use his gun because he was close to Walker when Walker stabbed him with scissors.

Acting Superintendent Barram argued Constable Rolfe had put himself there by choice. “There’s no tactical … distance between them, limited time to be able to react. (It) completely goes against our training,” he said.

“They’ve put themselves in close proximity to someone that they suspect was armed.”

Constable Rolfe shot Walker once while he was standing and twice more while he was “pinned” to the ground.

Constable Rolfe is facing charges of murder, manslaughter and engaging in a violent act causing death, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

The trial continues.

How do you access & trade in electronic ‘money’ when the face, retina, chip in your body etc. doesn’t let you open a phone or computer because your social credit score is in deficit? No one’s explained this to me yet.

1) BTC is a decentralised network, which means, so long as at least ONE of the thousands of network computers, world wide, are ‘up’, the system is up.
2) BTC can be transacted via mobile phone, or, indeed even on paper
3) The only way to truly kill BTC is to take the internet down, permanently – and if that happens, given the ‘interconnectedness’ of everything (power grids, traffic systems, food distribution, air traffic, banking etc etc etc, you have a lot more pressing needs than what happened to your BTC

No plans to occupy Ukraine, Russia tells UN
Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations speaks during a special session of the General Assembly at the United Nations headquarters on on February 28,
Russia seeks to save lives in the Donbass and punish those responsible for eight years of genocide and atrocities, Moscow’s envoy to the UN Vasily Nebenzia told the General Assembly during a session called to denounce the invasion of Ukraine.

“Occupation of Ukraine is not part of our plans. The purpose of this special operation is to protect people, who have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for the past eight years. This is why it’s necessary to demilitarize and de-nazify Ukraine,” Nebenzia said.

As one example of “ghastly crimes” committed by the government in Kiev, the Russian envoy cited the murder of people protesting the US-backed coup in Kiev, when 40 people were burned alive in a building in Odessa. Moscow is seeking to bring to justice anyone who committed such atrocities, “including Russian citizens,” Nebenzia said.

Russia is defending itself from a “regime” which “aspires to gain access to nuclear weapons,” the UN envoy added, noting the statement of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to that effect at the Munich Security Conference on February 18.

London takes back ‘Putin regime change’ claimREAD MORE: London takes back ‘Putin regime change’ claim
Rather than violating the underlying principles of the UN, as critics have accused Russia of doing, Nebenzia argued the military operation is actually ensuring the key principle is upheld – to prevent another world war.

NATO’s placement of military assets in Ukraine would have forced Russia to take measures that would have put Moscow and the alliance “on the brink of conflict,” he said.

Ukraine and its Western backers have accused Russia of unprovoked aggression and dismissed accusations of genocide and atrocities in the two breakaway regions of Donetsk and Lugansk.

“Everyone knows that Russia and Russia alone started this invasion,” said Kiev’s ambassador to the UN Sergiy Kyslytsya.

The UN General Assembly is meeting at the request of the US, which last week submitted a joint resolution with Albania to condemn Russia at the UN Security Council, where it was vetoed by Moscow.

“Russia’s Gazprom has announced a major gas deal with China with the construction of a new oil pipeline to supply 50 billion cubic meters a year to Beijing. They’re creating a separate economy.”

Russia’s economic ties with China and other Asian, middle eastern and African countries will only increase…thus isolating Russia even more from the west. Last week Putin, on the day of the invasion, hosted the PM of Pakistan Imran Khan. Russia still has strong ties with India, which refused to join in the West’s condemnation last week at the UN.

As David Starkey said, we are witnessing the rise of alternative empires. A weak America, with a rotting corpse in the WH, has just entrenched this reality.

As for the corporate activism against Russia in the last few days, economic, cultural and social, we see that already Russia has been kicked out of FIFA and big corporations are doing what they love to do….virtue signal……and cry and exclaim “quelle horreur” at Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, yet it’s rather amusing because many of these same corporations are intricately tied up with China so it’ll be interesting to see what happens in the event of the inevitable scenario of China moving on Taiwan. I expect these corporates to apply the same standards to China…..but here’s the rub, that’ll will be very difficult for them because these same corporations are dependent on China. And not just that, given how the west has sent all of its manufacturing to China over the last two decades, in the event of a move on Taiwan, if we boycott Chinese made goods….we’re fucked….because western economies are far more dependent on China than Russia.

Correct, the blockchain algorithm in all cryptos is designed to ensure each transaction is verified exactly to a specific BTC or crypto account. That’s the whole point of the Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake parts of the blockchain.

Even if we assume that the NSA-created SHA-256 encryption algorithm does not have a backdoor, something no one has yet proven, any suitably legislated and motivated thieving government will be able to identify each transaction, its debit and credit side.

These are terrible floods no doubt but are dwarfed by previous efforts. Lismore got 146.8mm on the 24/2/2022, that’s just under 5″. By comparison the East coast of Australia and particularly the Hunter Valley flooded every year from 1949 – 1955, with the 55 flood being the big one. In Singleton and the Hunter catchment on the 23/2/1955 11″ or 275mm fell. However the Australian record was at Crohamhurst, north of Brisbane and near the Glass house Mts, which recorded 907mm or 36″ on the 3/2/1893.

Former soldier objects to answering questions on alleged murder in Ben Roberts-Smith case
Michaela Whitbourn
By Michaela Whitbourn
March 1, 2022 — 4.20pm

A former elite soldier who was allegedly told by war veteran Ben Roberts-Smith to execute an unarmed Afghan man has objected to giving evidence about the incident in the Federal Court on the grounds he might incriminate himself.

Person 4, who was medically discharged from the SAS last year, started giving evidence on Monday in Mr Roberts-Smith’s defamation case against The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Canberra Times.

He has already told the court he witnessed Mr Roberts-Smith kick an unarmed and handcuffed Afghan man off a cliff in Darwan in late 2012, before the man was shot dead.

But Person 4, whose name cannot be revealed for national security reasons, objected to answering a question on Monday by the newspapers’ barrister, Nicholas Owens, SC, about his recollection of events during a separate mission in Afghanistan on Easter Sunday, 2009. Justice Anthony Besanko did not compel him to answer the question.

The court has previously heard evidence from a serving SAS soldier that Mr Roberts-Smith told Person 4 during the 2009 mission to shoot a captive Afghan man who had been discovered in a tunnel in a compound known as Whiskey 108.

“RS … walked down and grabbed the Afghan male by the scruff of the shirt, picked him up, marched him a couple of metres forward [until] he was in front of Person 4,” the serving soldier, dubbed Person 41, said in early February.

“He then kicked him in the back of the legs behind the knees until he was kneeling down in front of Person 4. He pointed to the [Afghan man] … and said to Person 4, ‘Shoot him.’”

Person 41 said he heard but did not see the shots being fired, because he did not want to look. Shortly after he heard the shots, he saw a “dead Afghan male” at the feet of Person 4, Person 41 said.

On Monday, Mr Owens asked Person 4 if he would tell the court what he recalled happened at Whiskey 108.

“Your honour, I object on the grounds that I may incriminate myself,” Person 4 said.

On Tuesday, one of Mr Roberts-Smith’s barristers, Arthur Moses, SC, returned to the subject in cross-examination.

“You’re aware, are you not, that the respondents in this case have alleged that you murdered an unarmed Afghan male on 12 April, 2009, correct?” Mr Moses said.

Justice Besanko compelled him to answer the question, and Person 4 agreed he was aware of that allegation. However, he objected to giving any evidence about the alleged incident.

Mr Roberts-Smith launched defamation proceedings in 2018 over a series of articles that he says accuse him of being a war criminal, among other claims.

He denies all wrongdoing. The media outlets are seeking to rely on a defence of truth and allege Mr Roberts-Smith committed or was involved in six murders of Afghans under the control of Australian troops, when they cannot be killed under the rules of engagement.

Another serving SAS soldier, Person 14, told the court earlier this month that he heard Person 5, the commander of Person 4’s patrol, say in front of SAS troops at their Tarin Kowt base before the Whiskey 108 mission that he was going to “blood the rookie”.

Asked what he understood that to mean, Person 14 said it referred to a new member of the troop getting a “kill”. He believed the “rookie” was Person 4.

Mr Owens asked: “Was Mr Roberts-Smith present on that occasion?”

“Yes,” Person 14 replied. The court has heard Mr Roberts-Smith was second-in-charge of the patrol led by Person 5.

Person 14 said he heard Person 5 say after the Easter Sunday mission: “I finally blooded the rookie.”

The trial continues.

Incorrect, I have bought crypto for cash, and paper stored it, with the seller having no idea who I am.

At most, if done as above, the government can look at a certain wallet address and see whats in it, but they cant tell who owns the private key to that address unless you used a trackable funds source to buy it (eg a crypto exchange or your bank acct). If you buy for cash, and paper store, they have no idea who owns the keys.

The Victorian’s built an empire that spanned the world, and it took a certain type of society and a certain type of people to do that and to sustain it. Whatever that was, religious, pious, moral and mature, callous and indifferent, lacking empathy, whatever it was they were it.

Then their children and grandchildren – the Edwardians, flush with luxuries and the best education and office jobs and leisure time got hold of it. And they were degenerate retards. And I think fundamentally they simply didn’t know how to sustain what had been built. They didn’t have the same grit and moxy, intellectual discipline. Their parents – the ruling class grew up tough, they grew up soft and cosmopolitan. Once the Victorians were gone as a force, these idiots ran around like pansies larping at being international giants but were really destroying everything and setting up the world for catastrophe and how.

Here we are again.

Up the road is a double mattress that has come off a load and is covering most of the opposite lane.
The road safety vehicle drives straight past the road hazard.
I stop to drag the sodden heavy stinking bed off the road so nobody hits it at speed in the dark.
The driver of the vehicle who lost the mattress would no doubt cop a hefty fine and a lecture on safety for having an unsecured load from the same bloke who drove straight past the hazard.

Pretty much what I hear from Russians too. Also doesn’t change the geography that dictates how important the area of the Ukraine is to their defense. Most of the FSU were and are buffer states between the western powers of France, Germany, and the UK. Defense Minister Benny Gantz signed a seizure order for cryptocurrency amounting to tens of thousands of NIS from 12 digital accounts. This includes about 30 digital wallets belonging to businesses that assisted the Al’matchadun currency exchange company owned by the Shamlach family and designated as a terror organization. Ahh Townsville, problem is not much of it isn’t in some sort of floodplain. If you ever fly in or out take a look. Otherwise you are building on granite slopes and the hard metamorphic aureole around it which has it’s own problems.

Townsville floods had government negligence and pushy developer Lancini’s hands all over them. Mr Lancini lobbied earlier mayor Tony Mooney (This guy has skin of teflon) to rezone a flood plain between Oonoonba and Murray with 3m spot heights on topo maps. Approval was given and he moved in to build commercial development while another mob got into housing. I wont go into the area around an old abattoir that now has apartments on it but anyone that lived around here knew the whole area down to Cluden Racecourse was a giant flood plain, last time I saw it 6ft under was after Cyclone Tessie and the Bruce Hwy was cut to near Alligator ck. We also knew it would go under again sooner or later and it will again.

The second part was the cover up run by the Council with Mayor Jenny Hill who happened to be Mooneys right hand woman at an earlier stage. She also has skin of teflon and friends very high up in George st. The council in conjunction with Sun Water stinging from the town very nearly running out of water during the preceding dry season (in a carbon copy of Brisbane in 2011) held on to the water way too long and released it in one almighty bang just before critical mass on dam wall. Problem was some of the areas that used to take the excesses like this are now shopping centres commercial districts and suburbs. Also the new arterial bypass to the port from the Finders Hwy at Wulguru was improperly engineered blocking water escaping into Cleveland Bay. Whoops. Most of the houses in Oonoonba and Railway Estate are highset, same Aikenvale, Cranbrook and even Rassy to Kelso. Pretty well much anything older. They didn’t do too bad. All the newer stuff is lowset on concrete slabs and mostly in areas their forebears chose not to build in.

The wash up like the Grantham and Brisbane investigations the truth was swept under the carpet and no one was to blame…

That said fully agree on the spirit of your comment. I walked around my place pre buying with a GPS then looked at the old flood maps etc. Even in 2019 the water got into the street and into my drive way but the house is still another half a metre higher and was duly sandbagged as precaution.

Ex-navy chief Tim Barrett urges safeguards for commercial shipping as Ukraine hits supply chain
Cameron Stewart
Associate Editor
@camstewarttheoz

Australia’s commercial shipping is gravely exposed by the global fallout from the war in Ukraine and needs federal government protection on national security grounds, a former navy chief has warned.

The blunt warning by Vice-Admiral (retired) Tim Barrett comes as the nation’s peak shipping body has sent a letter to all its members, including Shell, BP and Origin Energy, warning the ‘‘stark reality check” of the Ukraine war has exposed Australia’s “supply chain vulnerabilities”.

The nation has only 13 Australian-flagged cargo ships, down from 100 in the 1980s, leaving the country’s shipping supplies at the mercy of ships controlled by other countries, meaning that in times of global crisis their availability cannot be guaranteed.

Sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine have already unsettled global shipping, with Russian vessels banned from some ports amid fears access to cargo ships and shipping routes could be jeopardised if the conflict widens.

This could risk Australian supply chains for a vast range of products reliant on global shipping, including fuel, medicine, fertilisers and construction materials.

The letter from Maritime Industry Australia Limited CEO Teresa Lloyd, sent to the group’s 78 members on Tuesday, calls on the government to urgently guarantee the survival of an Australian-flagged commercial shipping fleet on national security grounds.

“The unfortunate events in the Ukraine are a stark reality check that the global stability of the past few decades is anything but guaranteed into the future,” it states. “We have been raising the alarm regarding the urgent need to secure Australia’s shipping industry, noting the sovereign vulnerability associated with having much of our sea transport capability performed by foreign entities.”

Vice-Admiral Barrett, chief of navy in 2014-18, said the government needed to take action to protect shipping, given the uncertainty created by the fallout from the Ukraine conflict.

“What is happening now in Ukraine and Europe is bringing to light the parlous and fragile state of Australian shipping,” he told The Australian. “Indirectly, what happens in Ukraine will have enormous bearing on supply chain issues within Australia when it deals with shipping and the maritime industry itself.”

In a crisis, a government can call on Australian-flagged ships to be used to secure supplies on national security grounds, but it has no control over foreign-flagged fleets, which comprise almost all cargo ships in and out of Australia.

Australia’s Blood Supply Contaminated with mRNA from Vaccinated Donors.

The Echoes of Krever by Don Laird

I was talking to someone the other day and he broached a subject, an aspect of the current mRNA inoculation experiment that had slipped my mind.

He asked: What steps, if any, are currently being taken by doctors, hospitals, medical infrastructure and Canadian Blood Services to ensure that vaccine-free persons are not unwittingly given transfusions of whole blood or plasma that are contaminated with the mRNA gene therapy?

Think about that for a minute… or perhaps you’ve already thought about it.

Of course this subject must be taken in context with the thousands of persons who were killed via the wilful and reckless contamination of Canada’s blood supply system in the ’70s and ’80s, the very same that gave rise to the

Krever Inquiry.

On a lot of the footage coming out of Ukraine, an exArmy mate reckons if it is old and beat up it could be Ukrainian equipment. He has already seen a Ukrainian T64 kill passed off as Russian kill. The Russian stuff may be old but has been upgraded.

Apparently a warm winter has constricted everyone including Ukrainians to harder routes, in his words Ukraine is a swamp and the ground never really froze over. The Russians will change their tactics and sound like they already have.

Apparently Ukrainians been using white phos as well, setting up gun lines in schools and digging in around where bomb shelters are. I am able to forgive a little of the behaviours like not knowing basics of armed combat rules in regards to schools when last week you were a truck driver but my mate tells me there are conventions on use of white phos shells. Ukrainian Pres better be very careful about screaming war crimes, especially when he has given arms to jailed criminals which have the potential to go horribly pear shaped if any counter offensive is able to be mounted

Yeah, the best indicator is whether they have the white Z painted on them, which seems to be the identifier the Russians chose to minimize own goals. Sometimes it’s just a Z others a Z in a square or a triangle.

There is apparently a 50 or so page doing the rounds in Russia documenting Ukrainian war crimes. Truth of it? No idea. They did recently shell civilian areas though, and have been filmed placing armor and artillery around schools and residential areas.
So far I’ve not seen any evidence of the Russians using stuff like thermobarics, and generally they appear to be going out of their way to avoid civvy casualties. E.g. the recent video of someone doing a drive by molotov, the Russians let her go instead of shooting her.
Maybe the truth of it all will come out over the next few months, but I’m not holding my breath we’ll hear any of it.

Because it is the key incendiary ingredient in smoke rounds.

It is piss-easy to have a cry that an artillery unit firing obscuration (especially in and around a built up area) is doing it for the meany-poobum purpose of deliberately burning people and things. Particularly when you add in that standard practice worldwide for smoke missions is to mix in a few HE rounds during the barrage to kick up the ground, make some extra dust and potentially stymie anyone trying to sneak through between the landed smoke rounds.

Andhra Man Bleeds To Death After Pharma Students Perform Sex Reassignment Surgery Watching YouTube Video

Vijaywada: A man, who decided to change his sex, died due to excessive bleeding after two pharmacy students attempted to perform sex reassignment surgery by watching a YouTube video. The bizarre incident took place recently in Nellore town of Andhra Pradesh.

According to a report in Times of India, the sex change operation was performed in a room of a hotel by two B Pharma students of a Nellore–based private college, who have been arrested by the police.

The report added that the 28-year-old man, who had left his wife to live alone, came in contact with the students through social media.

As per police officials, the attempted surgery was carried out in an unhygienic room of the hotel and their only guide were a YouTube video. Excessive bleeding during the surgery led to instant death of the man.
