Gabor – The NLAW only arms itself after 65m in direct attack mode or 20m for over the top mode, the tank was too close. The only thing which went bang was the remaining rocket fuel, the warhead didn’t go off.
I’m not sure of the 65m direct fire arming distance, I saw that once, but the 20m distance is well known.

Gabor – I think he was aiming for the top of the turret which has less armour than the sides. Or maybe the top of the tank just behind the turret. That’s why both the NLAW and Javelin ideally fly over the top and shoot downwards. In this case he was already above, which is why I mentioned direct fire mode.
The guy looked more like he was firing a RPG, he probably was doing what was instinctive. They wouldn’t have had much training on NLAWs so it’d be hard in such pressured circumstances to do the correct set up, and wait until the tank was far enough away for the warhead to arm itself.
In some ways he was lucky. If the warhead had penetrated it’d’ve blown the ammunition carosel, which is under the gunner’s seat. There would’ve been a rather large kaboom. That’s why the Turret Throwing Olympics is a thing. He could’ve had a tank turret come through the window.
Can anyone explain the reasoning behind this?
It’s a bit too complex for me – Part of the US bond yield curve briefly inverted for the first time since 2006 Monday, adding to fears that a recession could soon hit the country’s economy as the Federal Reserve hikes interest rates hard.

Peter FitzSimons’ Buddy Franklin howler
Lance “Buddy” Franklin kicking his 1000th goal at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the final quarter of Friday night’s clash between the Swans and Geelong was unambiguously the sporting moment of the year, if not the decade.
It was a once-in-a-generation accomplishment in the limited universe of Australian rules football, yet the collective emotional conflagration ensured it was a global event.
About 250,000 people spilled onto the field and into that heaving milieu orbiting Buddy – at least if you count every Sydneysider who, years from now, will claim to have been there.
Hometown rag, The Sydney Morning Herald, runs a column each week – often more than one column – containing blow-by-blow commentary on the notable milestones in Australian sport. It’s phoned in from the harbourside home-office of Peter FitzSimons (and his dutiful research team).
To date, Fitzy has had nothing at all to say about Franklin’s achievement, nor the astonishing spectacle that accompanied it. This is uncharacteristic circumspection, for Fitzy has a line on everything, a compulsion to share it and an unshakable conviction in its high value. He even tweets his daily Wordle result, a whole new realm of banality.
Would Fitzy perchance be mindful of an intemperate column he penned in October 2013 – upon the Swans signing Buddy on a nine-year, $10 million deal – in which he asked, in caps for oafish over-emphasis, “HAVE THE SWANS GOT FREAKING ROCKS IN THEIR HEAD (sic)?”
Franklin, he reckoned, “will gravitate to the Ivy on George Street”. To the enduring disappointment of Emerald City’s paparazzi, Buddy mostly gravitated to his couch at home in Rose Bay.
But FitzSimons’ leading objection to Franklin’s sensational recruitment was that “prima facie”, it represented a breach of the club’s ” ‘no dickheads’ selectorial policy”, which was “the whole shtick of the Swans for the past decade.”
“If you called Central Casting and said, ‘Send me over a prime dickhead’, and Buddy Franklin turned up… a tower of swaggering sneer and staggering hubris… you would hardly be inclined to ask for your money back.”
Welcome to Fitzy’s Self-Awareness Free Zone. The guy wearing a pirate hankie on his head for no explicable reason, hectoring Sydney with his witless attitudes, naming the dickheads among us.
There is no greater dickhead than Peter FitzSimons. Were there an All Australian team of dickheads, Fitzy would be its captain and its most capped player. His trophy cabinet would hold the Brownlow, the Coleman and the Norm Smith medals. Gary Ablett Sr would be supplanted as God … of the dickheads.
Fitzy was merely one in a chorus of voices against Franklin’s Sydney deal in 2013, of course, AFL House being among them.
How wrong they all were.
None of the anxieties that Franklin posed a cultural ill-fit for the team have borne out. He is popular with the other players and by all accounts is very humble and shy.
Buddy has been an on-field sensation. His aura effect has, over the past eight years, cemented the Swans in the popular consciousness of Sydney.
To widespread indignation, Sydney paid him $1.1 million a year. Club turnover promptly rose by $12 million a year as club membership increased by 70 per cent. Home crowds are up 15 per cent.
36,000 people and those extraordinary scenes on Friday – how can you place a dollar value on that? Money cannot buy it. It is the magic jam from heaven.
Buddy was a bargain and a coup almost beyond compare. Fitzy’s ghostwriters should put that in his next column.

That’s what its made for, isn’t it?
“And he’s correct and it’s happened in the last ten years, particularly the last five.”
No, it goes further back than that.
We lost textiles, electronics and automotive industries on the basis of “free trade” (which was anything but), and no-one seemed to really care much, despite those losses decimating the supply chains that were also local like steel, glass and components for the automotive industry.
Then we had the totally ridiculous situation where we had thousands graduating with IT qualifications, because according to GovCo that was “the future” and there was a “shortage”, only to be undercut by immigration ponzi imports especially selected to “fill the gap”, when there was no gap at all and plenty of locals ready and qualified to do the job.
Add in the education industrial complex, where you now need a degree in beverages to be a barista, and it is no surprise to me that this ridiculousness has finally reached into the logistics chain and people like St Ruth are feeling the impact.
It seems it was fine while it was manufacturing and other services because “I’m alright Jack” and you always need truck drivers right, and that involves physically being present and no way to off-shore it, plus you need local qualifications, so that’s never going away. Yeah – until they used the same immigration ponzi fix on you they used on the IT people.
So you know what? Why the fuck should I care about truck drivers when they never gave a fuck about me? Why should I care that you are being undercut on pay and conditions when you never gave a fuck about my pay and conditions being under the same attack as long as you got your cheap shit from overseas? Oh, you whinged about crappy call centres, but you never stood up and said “We need these jobs here in Australia!”, did you?
Too fucking late now Struth – you had the chance to stand up for Australian jobs and Australian industry, but you didn’t because it didn’t affect you – you even thought it was great you now had lots of cheap plastic dog shit from China – and now that it is affecting you, you complain. Suck it up princess, you let it happen in your inattention and complacency and your “I’ll be OK” attitude. Too fucking late to whinge now, you hypocrite.

For those considering an electric car, dealers in the US are finding that the cost of installing chargers for EV’s is way more expensive than they thought it would be. Remember that dealerships are in the main, if not exclusively in commercial properties which usually have higher capacity mains than domestic buildings. Most Australian homes have 60 amp single phase mains supply. It can be increased fairly easily to a few homes but if a lot want increased current then the street mains, transformers and the transmission network will need upgrading, this is very very expensive and the cost would be spread evenly over the consumers, even those who neither want nor need increased current for ev chargers. I guess those who want ev’s will gloss over this and not care about others subsidising their network supply infrastructure.

Indigenous campaign seeks a ban on all-white juries in some trials
An Indigenous campaign is calling for a ban on all-white juries in cases where a police officer or other person in authority is being tried over the death of an Indigenous person.
Debate over jury representation was triggered after an apparently all-white jury acquitted Northern Territory police officer Zachary Rolfe on charges arising from the March 2019 shooting death of Kumanjayi Walker.
Campaign leader Desmond Blurton/Cuiamara said he was taking his local campaign national, with a planned public protest on April 7 at Western Australia’s state parliament building; he was also considering launching a petition through social media.
“We need our mob represented,” said Mr Blurton, a Nyungah Ballardong man and deputy chair of WA’s Deaths in Custody Watch Committee. “I don’t care if it’s 20 per cent of the jury or whatever, but we still need to be represented in the jury.”
He had also written a submission to the Law Society of WA, emailed the state’s Attorney-General John Quigley and appealed to top barristers for public support. “I would like them to stand with us, the First Nations mob, in solidarity to let this society know this is unjust, unfair, racist and cannot be tolerated in a fair society.”
A Law Society spokeswoman said it did not have a formal position regarding Indigenous representation on juries “but the campaign has been brought to our attention and we will raise it with our committees, for their feedback”.
Commenting on the jury composition in the Rolfe trial earlier in March, Labor legal affairs spokesman Mark Dreyfus called for a concerted effort by the commonwealth to get more Indigenous people on to electoral rolls, given they are the source of jurors.
“Unfortunately, as we know, there is significant under-enrolment of Indigenous people in the Northern Territory, and as such they are under-represented in jury pools,” he said.
The latest Australian Electoral Commission data shows enrolment of eligible Indigenous people nationally at 79.4 per cent compared with 74.7 per cent in 2017.
The current figure for eligible non-Indigenous people is 96.3 per cent. NT Indigenous enrolment is 69.6 per cent, up from 67.1 per cent in 2017.
The AEC’s Indigenous electoral participation program, established in 2010, employs Indigenous and community engagement officers to help facilitate enrolment. The program was allocated a further $9.4m in October for initiatives including educational podcasts in various languages and youth mentoring to drive enrolment.
The question of Indigenous representation on juries is a matter of justice being seen to be done, according to a lawyer who challenged the NT Juries Act in the Supreme Court over the issue more than a decade ago.
“The court affirmed that in Australia there is no right to have any particular racial representation on juries,” retired criminal lawyer and specialist in the area Russell Goldflam said of the result.
Mr Goldflam, a member of the NT Law Reform Committee that recommended reforms in 2013, said he did not know whether there had been Indigenous people on the Rolfe jury and was “not suggesting that having Indigenous people on the jury would have changed the verdict”.
“What I do believe is that had there been Indigenous representation on the jury, that would enable the community as a whole to have more confidence in the outcome,” Mr Goldflam said.

This “I’m alright Jack” attitude is on the money.
They looked at the loss of manufacturing jobs and thought, “Well, they can’t do my job overseas because it is geographically tied to Straya”.
This was mainly transport and construction, and it lead to union driven wage growth for semi-skilled wukkas not warranted by their skill-set.
Transport is now under-pinned by an imported workforce, but those in construction still feel untouchable, mainly due union influence.
OK, it hasn’t happened in CBD tower construction yet, but the mantra in mining and oil & gas for years has been “modularise construction offshore and minimise onshore work”.
For example, a lot of CSG well-heads arrive pre-manufactured in container sized units with the local work being to do up the four wingnuts and plug it in.

Well it was cheaper to manufacture the whole kit and kaboodle offshore and employ one truck-driver, two escort vehicles and a crane driver for a day, rather than an on-site construction crew for six months (oh, make that nine).
It only becomes a problem when those last onshore jobs driving the Big Rig and escort vehicles go to furriners.

Aside from very basic inputs, the mining and oil and gas industry uses very little manufactured in Australia.
In mining, explosives would be the biggest locally made item – and even then, there is pressure to import ammonium nitrate.
In oil and gas, essentially all machine systems and tech are imported. All offshore kit is made somewhere else.
Outside of cement and a few simple chemicals, 97.3% of critical consumables (wellheads, casing, tubulars, downhole kit) are imported.
Australia has a large scale CSG industry, but it’s supporting API certified tube-mills in China and India (and other countries you might not associate with manufacturing – the Philippines, Argentina, Canadia).
The FBI keeps on losing stuff. It’s a mystery.

My comment under the Oz jury article – pending:
So what is being proposed essentially, is the complete breakdown of what was achieved under Magna Carta – that people should be treated equally.
If this idea progressed to reality, the next is that a 12 person jury should, it would be argued, have seven women and five men, seeing as women are 52% of the population. Except that would over-represent women. And so on, and so on.
The Laptop is in good company.

The usual New Idea-style ‘winners and losers’ analyses all show huge money dumps for every interest group – and essentially no losers. Presumably this is because the budget is funded by borrowing that is lost in the Covid debt mountain and happy economic growth assumptions.
Approved!
Good Moaning.
So now one who I thought was sane, has blown his pooffle valve of logic as well.
Kneel, when you make a statement, and Panzy Smollett rushes in to agree and to push buttons and lies, especially when it comes to me, you might want to adjust your stance.
You complete fuckwit.
I lead a convoy to Canberra while I owned my own trucking business to protest the loss of industry and jobs outside of the transport industry.
Filled with people who were protesting the live beef cattle export industry smashing by Julia Gillard’s communist regime, the orange growers and many other industries including teachers disgusted with the education system.
It was in fact such a broad church of dissent that it was called the convoy of no confidence and to some degree caused us problems because there was so many different grizzles that the message got blurred.
So, Fuck you.
Just because I describe conditions in the transport industry does not mean I don’t care about other industries, in fact a general freight truck driver is keenly aware of the need to put freight on his truck to make money, as driving around empty doesn’t do it.
We are more aware of the need for the health of other businesses than most know of other businesses or give a rats about.
So double fuck you.
Let this be a warning.
As the truth hits you like a tonne of bricks, and you can no longer live in a state of denialism, you may feel like lashing out at all and sundry and making a goat of yourself.
Don’t do a Kneel.
“I suspect if someone were to go to retrieve Weiner’s laptop from the FBI storage cupboard he might find it has been mislaid as well.”
IIRC, Trump/WaPo have a “forensic copy” (ie, an “image” or complete duplication at the sector level) of the HDD anyway. Might not have the paperwork to make it legally a forensic copy though. Still, there is DKIM and other verification of some contents possible anyway.
Ah for the good old days when you could crush an aluminium can in your hands and the kids thought you were crushing steel.
The kids experience with came from standing on empty steel cans to see over peoples heads at the footy.

“So double fuck you.”
And I complained about the vax mandate officially as well, but it didn’t help me, did it?
So it seems that it was a whole lot of people who ignored me about jobs, industries etc and now you about vaxes and we both got screwed.
And when you have your bitch about me and the vax, you still say it’s my fault.
So double fuck you too buddy.
We should be on the same side, exactly as I said before, but we’re not and not from lack of me trying. So keep your holier than thou attitude and shove it where the sun don’t shine, dickhead.
FFS.
Buy a train set or something.
By the way, if you jabbed, stubbornly ignorant denialist types would like to read this article, properly, all the way through,
you will find they now are telling you ways in which you might be able to limit doing a Kitchens Warne, Sudden death thing

By the way, if you lose your truck driver job, you might like to take to advise from the Simpsons “Cheese from discarded pizza boxes is an important source of protein”.
You’re welcome.
No Kneel.
Your last statement is an illogical melt down.
The facts are.
You claimed to be furious at what the government “made you do”
A sane response.
Instead od the denialism around here, it was closer to sanity than many others, like JC, who is indeed suffering badly.
Then you accuse me, for some fucked up reason of not caring for anything other than the transport industry.
Totally emotional, illogical, and with the convoy of no confidence back in 2011, totally proving the opposite, you continue on.
When Sancho comes in, and jumps in as as fast as he can to lie and attempt to stick the boot in, you should consider you’ve fucked up, and fucked up badly.
Now go and look at your last incoherent emotional outburst and see if it makes sense to you.
If it does, seek help.

Resurrect would be more appropriate. It is long gone.
No, there never has been a commitment to freedom in this country and no rule of law. The law is whatever the government deems it to be at the time.
This is true.

“No Kneel.
Your last statement is an illogical melt down.”
Nope – just sick to death of your holier than thou attitude, your put downs of anyone who disagrees in even the tiniest amount from “the law according the struth”, and your refusal to help those who may have been hurt against their will. When you act like that, and then complain that no-one cares to support your own circumstances, you shouldn’t expect anything except the abuse and contempt I have shown you – from anyone.
If you don’t see that, you’re even more fucked up and pathetic than you have already shown yourself to be. And frankly, I’ve given you enough chances to see things from my side, but you just kept up your crap – so, yeah, I am angry with you, why wouldn’t I be? You should know better, you’ve been given the information, but it doesn’t fit with your view of the world and yourself, so you ignore it. I can forgive ignorance, but you have gone well beyond that – it’s either willful ignorance, arrogance, stupidity, sheer bloody mindedness or shit stirring. And no matter which it is, for someone like that, I wouldn’t give you the steam off my shit – you’re an oxygen thief and a waste of space.

COVID-19 vaccination data from the province of Ontario, Canada reports that the 7-day moving average of infection rates in people who are fully vaxed and boosted is 17.18 cases per 100,000 people, compared to 9.19 cases per 100,000 people in those who are not fully vaxed. These data show almost twice the rate of COVID-19 infections in the people receiving the most COVID-19 vaccines, flipping the expectations of vaccine effectiveness on its head. At long last, it appears that the observational evidence is now coming in supporting research findings of approximately one percent vaccine efficacy in the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine clinical trials: Outcome Reporting Bias in COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine Clinical Trials.

Strangely enough, the ET piece fails to mention that a week later, the “highest impact cardiology journal” published an ‘expression of concern’ warning that the abstract was plagued with errors and “in its current version may not be reliable.”
Or that, on 21 December 2021, the author submitted corrections that admit that the original abstract conclusion is not actually statistically based – not the least being that the title changed from the dramatically definitive:
To the slightly more nuanced:

I’m trying to get my head around the infection vaxxed/unvaxxed figures.
And before I’m jumped on for being an insane “denier” by the usual suspects, I’m simply looking for reasons other than susceptibility due to the vaxx.
Would another reason why there is a higher representation be that the vaxxed are more out there moving around in public transport, jobs etc. since the unvaxxed have been excluded from normal life? So they aren’t as exposed to viral loads? What about age cohort? Are older people more likely to be vaxxed plus have not so effective immune systems?

Has he ever not fucked things up? Think One.Tel and Channel 10.
As an aside, I find it increasing sad that I have to put some sort of rider before every time I question the prevailing narrative here.
What happened to people’s enquiring minds? Have they turned to mush?
Lachlan Murdoch is being a Wormtongue. He has an agenda, but needs to keep the horses unfrightened for a bit longer.

Oh dear, a true melt down this morning.
I’m expecting a few of these as reality bites people in the arse.
Let’s look at this with sane evaluation, because it is not unusual.
My opinion has offended certain people. Maybe I shouldn’t have an opinion, according to you, if it offends others?
Is that what you are saying?
Of course it is, but like all of you who have lost it, there is never a reason given, just that “your sick of it” etc.
You are new here, so let me give you a little tip.
In 2020 when this first happened, I argued like shit to stand against this tyranny and to not take the poison jab.
Everyone here knows the level of insanity I was up against but I was called a nanna killer, and conspiracy theorist.
Notafan went hysterical, and lost her shit.
I spent weeks of my life trying to calm those I don’t even know and think clearly.
It didn’t happen, they were lost to it so I left for a year, such was the level of fear and insanity gripping the cat.
I had to take a break for my own sanity, only returning when a few started to wake up.
Trying to help those hurt against their will, I spent months and months trying to prevent them hurting themselves only to become the evil bastard you think I am for doing so.
What have you done?
–
I have never once complained that no one cares to support my circumstances.
Especially regarding the trucking industry.
However, I do make a point of them flashing their good “Nazi Passes” around, and going on holidays to Europe to leave the rest here making a stand do the dirty work.
And they will be fucking told.
And that’s just emotional outburst the rest of that.

It was racism, Calli. Somehow the intelligence agents of Big Bank must know about the over-exposed snapshot of my grandma chopping wood in the backyard, circa 1961 — proof enough these days of indigeneity.
And before I’m jumped on for being an insane “denier” by the usual suspects, I’m simply looking for reasons other than susceptibility due to the vaxx.

All in theory good questions. But Ontario lifted almost all its vaxx mandates early in March, so that shouldn’t now be greatly affecting a 7 day rolling average. Don’t know about age/vaxx rates, though.
No answer. Just trolling.
Because all roads lead to the current obsession.
Thanks Tim. A sensible answer with some facts. Much appreciated.

Sorry – accidentally sent before responding to areff ….It’s your own fault. Why didn’t you use the cash sensibly, like for buying chop chop?
There is no bigger nanny state on the planet. We are ruled over by a plague of bugmen.
I haven’t deposited cash for a while, but I will bet there has been some recent cock-up or skullduggery which has driven it.
Possibly a dodgy claim of a deposit made to the wrong account, which was cleaned out, then claimed to be banker’s error.

like for buying chop chop?
That’s why it was an odd sum to be deposited. Broke a $50 on the way to the bank for two packets of Manchester Blue.
Easy just stop.
I have made it a habit to use cash for just about everything for years. As such I have a long history of removing large amounts of cash from the bank. If ever questioned, I say ‘yes I am burying it in the garden – I dont trust banks’
Speaking of forged qualifications, I had dealings with a bloke who managed to get into an NT Government department recently based on forged docs. When life became too hot there for various reasons he did a sting at a certain NT private organisation.
Eventually things caught up with him, and now the wheels of justice are turning slowly with him in the middle of it all.
It’s pointless asking questions here. Almost time to give up.
Do you have a link to the numbers you are talking about?
Possibly.
Fact is though that in any debate you will find degrees of lunacy at the extreme ends, and as long as you recognise yourself as being on one side rather than another there will be some people who are more destructive to the cause they clamour for. Speaking of ‘sides’ more or less puts you on a spectrum and the problem with spectra is that there are so many dimensions that a human extends into.
Take the current vaccine debate. On the side of people opposed to Covid vaccine mandates are those opposed to any mandate in principle, those who are more concerned with this vaccines being poorly tested and risks concealed, and people who think all vaccines are part of a conspiracy. Well, that Figures.
So it is not beyond the realm of possibility that someone might publish an article which, as purported, would seem to vindicate my opinions, but which after more rigorous attention turns out to be fudged. I do not assume all extremists are on the ‘other’ side. Sadly they are not.
But they are a gift for your opponents.
I have to say, we have started doing likewise. The question is what to do with it to maintain value of any sort. Consequently, have put significant amounts into assets we are confidant will maintain that value. We are starting to feel like preppers! Diesel tank has arrived & is full…vege garden going well…larder full….crazy stuff…..
But regarding the bank teller requiring ID for 4 figure deposit…geez….it always used to be anything over $10,000. But then, nothing is as it used to be, is it???
My money’s on the latter.
I don’t trust Gonzalo Lira. Not one bit. I suspect he isn’t even in Ukraine anymore – notice how he no longer appears on camera. Now, he claims this is because he was threatened by Ukrainian thugs when he was in Kiev (a Russian news channel did a dodgy edit of an interview he gave and broadcast it on Russian TV, making him appear ridiculously pro-Russian and anti-Ukrainian). He says he was kicked out of Kiev, had to return to Kharkov and relocate to an undisclosed location ‘in central Kharkov’, and that’s why he won’t appear on camera, in case his background gives away his location.
But that doesn’t make a lot of sense. It isn’t difficult to set your background up so that your location can’t be identified (hell, just blurring the background would do the trick). And since then he’s turned HARD against the Zelensky regime and criticises it stridently. If the Ukrainians were pissed off about what he said before, they’re going to be apoplectic about his present stance. I don’t care how ‘undisclosed’ his location is in central Kharkov – if Ukrainian goons wanted to find him, it might take them all of half an hour to find him. Maybe less.
I believe him when he says he was threatened by Ukrainian agents after his inadvertent appearance on Russian TV, but I think it much more likely that he got the hell out of Ukraine (or was kicked out) rather than return to a place where he could be easily found. But he doesn’t want to give up his sudden relevance as ‘the man on the ground’ in the middle of a war zone, telling it like it is. So he doesn’t appear on camera – probably because he had to leave his setup in Ukraine in the process of getting the hell outta Dodge – and plays audio of air raid sirens ringing out now and again during interviews, giving him a chance to drop an ‘oh sorry that’s just another air raid alert, you get used to it when you’re in the middle of a hot war zone. By the way, did I mention I’m in central Kharkov in an undisclosed location, and I’m bravely delivering you all the truth about the Ukrainian government at considerable risk to my well-being? Only for the 50th time? Silly me, I thought it was only the 40th time. But it’s important you know.’
And that’s how you go from ‘Coach Red Pill’; low-rent, deplatformed, dirtbag manosphere hack*, to Gonzalo Lira, fearless war correspondent and geostrategic expert. Quite the reinvention. But I don’t buy it.
*I listened to a couple of his anti-woman ramblings way back when, and his takes were uniformly awful. Some of the manosphere commentators are fine – their content isn’t of interest to me but I can see it would be for others- however, Coach Red Pill sounds genuinely misogynistic and his content was primarily ‘why you shouldn’t date [insert chosen adjective here, eg English/tall/autistic/rich/ pet-owning/skinny/fat/educated /Asian/well travelled/older/redheaded/professional/etc] women’.
Typical flouncing Nazi!!!!
So, a counter vax article with a high impact working title:
“Mrna COVID Vaccines Dramatically Increase Endothelial Inflammatory Markers and ACS Risk as Measured by the PULS Cardiac Test: a Warning”
…is submitted to a high impact journal.
And then on peer review it turns out that there is no reasonable statistical basis for the dramatic warning.
And then the author concurs there is a problem and resubmits.
Yes indeedy.
I sense the invisible hand of Schwab somewhere near all this.
Hopefully Dr Gundry has now been reunited with his children (and they have all their fingers and ears).
You will have to ask Big_Nambas at 10:52 for that.
No, I’m not a flouncing Nazi. Just a tired one. All that goose stepping is wearing me out. I will take bespoke’s advice.
Mid week in pictures in case it hasn’t been posted yet.
It’s interesting to observe people finally sick of poorly-constructed wordwalls about how this country is going to shit entirely because millions of people will not do things exactly as one person thinks they should be done, and those people’s entirely on-point responses which trigger larger, more intricate hyped-up wordwalls.
A cornucopia of ‘murder death kill’ and ‘all I did was suggest’ and ‘get a fucking clot and die you shallow cock smokers’, all because everyone didn’t pick up someone’s flag immediately and run with it.
Of particular interest is the pointing of fingers and crying ‘Emotion!’ when you can actually see the blood pressure rising, as the intensity of said wordwalls increases over the course of the day – fuelled by the intransigence of The People in not bending to one person’s will*. The props – trucks, the flag and Anzac Day have lost their meaning to the author because he uses them as trinkets. Like Bosi.
The wordwaller has hitched his star to countless wagons, including Faulty, NFA, Bosi and Palmer. Switch. Fail. Switch. Rejected. Switch. Fail. And so on.
Kneel is bang on. The heavy vehicle industry was for generations the province of chunky white boys who watched the education and retail and IT sectors become gradually overtaken by the ponzis described earlier, and didn’t say or do a goddamned thing.
The relatively new introduction of chicks into the industry, and as detailed in the masterful documentary Outback Truckers would have caused conniptions in the industry – and I bet one of the complaints would have been ‘how can we back one out on the side of the road now?’
If anything, this entire wordwalling exercise has demonstrated that at least one Australian quality remains intact. Although – as a people – we’ll bow to faceless Big Government, we won’t be told what to do by individuals waving our banners from pulpits.
*Also fuelled by Bundy (or West End) cans.

The best kind of tired is chasing my granddaughter on her balance bike feeding her a mix of strawberries, cheese and chocolate and not having to deal with what comes next.
Life is good
Calli, my husband and I have remained unvaxxed for COVID for these last couple of years. We live for 5 days out of eight on the farm & return to Sydney for 3 days in rotation. When at the farm we visit regional centres for groceries and farm supplies. In Sydney, again, we frequent supermarkets. During the whole of the period of mandates, we still visited (& enjoyed visits) of family and enlightened friends.
During lockdown we were still able to visit Sydney, and did so, with travel permits. Of course, during that period we were unable to shop in many department stores, attend restaurants and pubs, or get our hair cut. Since the relaxation of the mandates, we have been able to attend all of these venues. And, of course, we attended the recent Canberra rally of over 100,000 people (we were THERE & know what 100,000 people looks like en masse).
So – the point of all this is …….we have had quite a significant amount of contact with other people. Now, as I have posted on this blog many times – we have been on a regime of healthy diet and specific vitamins for over two years. The odd bit of Ivermectin on our hands when drenching cattle hasn’t gone astray either – although it only lasts for 30 days!
However, I am not cavalier about all of this. It is possibly that either my husband and I have had a mild case of COVID in the past few months. Indeed, there was an occasion that my husband exhibited some signs (& was promptly treated by me with the recommended available treatments according to the protocol of the FLCCC physicians) which may have been COVID.
So who knows? But the point about all of this – is that the unvaxxed (& we know quite a few) don’t necessarily node themselves away!!
That should have been “hide themselves away”!!!
“…feeding her a mix of strawberries, cheese and chocolate and not having to deal with what comes next. “

Oh, and another example, Callie:
In an incredible “leap of faith”, a few months ago we had a visit from our grandson with 9 of his 19 year old mates!!!
I forgot to add that in the last 3 months, at least, we have had quite a number of Sydney guests – mostly people of middle age. All were vaxxed – not that it matters!

Good luck with that Dr. Faustus. That abstract is regularly posted here, again last night. People who post such rubbish don’t appreciate that it ruins their credibility to push this type of material as proof. If I encounter someone consistently linking to crap I stop reading them. The author of that abstract, Gundry, pops up on my youtube feed occasionally with some rubbish about nutrition and flogs his own propriety supplements. He’s a crank and a snake oil salesman.
Some people don’t care about the quality of the links they provide. So long as it suits their narrative they’ll use it as evidence to support their position and do so knowing that the majority of people never bother to check the links.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to address Australian parliament
No doubt he’ll be all hopped up on Ukrainian marching powder, as is his wont. Send this man more weapons so they can be distributed to gangsters and newly-released prisoners, or stored in an arms depot where they can be destroyed by Russian cruise missiles! Money well spent.

Indeed, John H.
I note the gravitation from ‘The New World Order are putting tiny self-aware robots in vaccines’ (that line of commentary, by the way, had died out – why is that?) to ‘well now you’re all getting AIDS, so there’ and also from ‘the unvaccinated are all going to be put in death camps to die’ to ‘everyone vaccinated will die in 13 to 43 to 55 months’.

“Lol! Kneel That’s what I said to my boys. But her gran cleans up after my chaos.
So all good.”
yeah, it’s funny – usually the young ones are a bit wary of me at first, being the “big scary man”. But it doesn’t take long for them to realise that at heart I am really a big softy who loves to play as much as they do, and after that it takes about 10 minutes before they are squealing in delight at the games we play. That’s when the requests for baby sitting come. Followed by said reply. And the parents never seem to be sure if I’m serious or not (of course I’m not really serious, but no need to tell them, right?)
And I really do enjoy that sort of stuff – bit of “dad” type physical play stuff is really nice, and the kids enjoy it too.
So yes, definitely all good here too.
The best kind of tired is chasing my granddaughter on her balance bike feeding her a mix of strawberries, cheese and chocolate and not having to deal with what comes next.

Another point of BS re: Gonzalo Lira is his constant “my sources can confirm” shtick. But when you hear what these sources are confirming, it’s clear he doesn’t have the inside track on anything much – he gets the same shit off Telegram that anyone else can access. He adds no additional value to the analysis apart from his claimed status as being ‘on the ground’ – but I doubt this is the case, as described above. Meaning he adds no additional value. He’s just another guy with an opinion. Which would be fine if that was all he claimed to be. However, he claims to be much more than that, which makes him a phoney.
Calli is sane. You Struth I’m not so sure about.
Looking for alternative explanations for the data is a sign of a healthy mind. Cleaving to your own convictions arrived at by joining dots and having compelling intuitions, not so much.

Banks have always had strange people running them. Years ago wife goes into our branch of Westpac in St Georges Tce for a loan for a car as the accountant said. Little johnnie bank assistant manager said ‘your husband will have to co-sign’. Red rag to a bull. Have you even looked at our account? Can I use your phone? She rang me at the office, I was down in about five minutes as our office was in Mount St. By this time she was having words with the Manager. I asked what was the balance, assistant manager goes pink, I write out a withdrawal slip then walk up the road to ANZ.
