Everyone wants to see Justice done, riiiiiiight???
Which means a Trial is held.
So, why not shut the fuck up about Lisa until after the Trial?

Contempt means interference with the ability of the court to provide a just trial. You either mean this in which case you’re a fucking idiot; or you don’t in which case you’re a pain in the arse troll.

Our youngest children are twins. When they were born in the early 2000s it was probably the most exhausting time our lives.

The worst part was that a very close relative of my wife was pregnant with twins and decided to abort them. She did this because she didn’t want to miss our on an overseas trip.

When we were told (after the “termination”), we looked at our infant daughters with wonder but sadness. We would have offered to take them, look after them and give them back when she could look after them. But they were already gone.

The person who terminated has exhibited no guilt or sorrow, only her own brand of narcissistic delusions that the spirits of the two babies still live on somehow.

Anthony Albanese unleashes at US judges’ controversial decision to scrap the right to get an abortion as the PM explains why he is so against the move: ‘It is a setback for women’

LOL. Another ‘Pollie’ who hasn’t read the US Constitution which is written in plain English. I have a copy and have read it. Nowhere does it mention abortion. I can lend that copy to ‘Elbow’ so that he can read it on his extensive World travels. It doesn’t take long to read though. On the other hand, I have tried reading the Australian Constitution. I failed as it is so complicated and tedious to read. You really do need to be a Constitutional Lawyer expert to understand it.

His message being; those who chose not to take appropriate precautions should suffer the full consequences.

Consistency is not his strong suit.

LOL. I did not know this. Well for me not having been jabbed by an experimental emergency approved drug, I am suffering the full consequences of my rational decision. That is, I continue to keep hold of my ‘top notch’ immune system, one that has not been compromised by these doses. Not only that, but I have yet to contract this virus thingy. Not had the Flu since 1972 either and I don’t get the annual Flu jabs. Gargling with red wine and then swallowing seems to work for me and kind of makes me feel quite happy after a few glasses. Sorry about that, Cassie. I don’t think I’m a great dad and feel that parenthood is hard, but even with four little kids in the house at the time, we would have gladly raised them.

My wife took it hard but is ok now. The woman who aborted is still delusional and narcissistic, twenty years later. What also hurts is that we knew parents who either could conceive or struggled to conceive who would’ve been great parents of those twins.

And I guess there are some on this forum in similar positions. My respect and thoughts with them.

Good for you. Despite the difficulties I’m sure it would have been worthwhile for all.

I was at a function for Marcus Oldham Agricultural College a few days ago and one of the students had been asked to share the story of his life, as part of the scholarship winners thanking the College’s supporters.

An early part of the story was the day his dad sat the family down and said “there’s no easy way to say this, but your aunty has died”. His two cousins came to live with them, and as he put it, the family of four became a family of six, with mum and dad looking after the cousins as if they were their own.

Then came the harrowing bit. At 19 years of age he was the one who was at home when the police knocked on the door. He had to sit the family down and say “there’s no easy way to say this, but dad’s died”. He then had to run the farm while his mother looked after the younger kids till they finished school. He said he’d never have been able to do it, but the whole district rallied round to pitch in helping with the work and teaching him the tricks of the trade. However I can’t help feeling he also wouldn’t have been able to do it if he didn’t have his dad’s example over those previous years.

There’s a happy ending – when the extended siblings were all finished school he was able to go to Marcus on a scholarship. He’s now close to finishing, ready to go back and feeling fully confident that he’s now up to the task of running the farm himself.

Arrived back in Perth last night from a month in England and the Continent so thought I’d post a Covid mandate update for travelers.

Masks: Required at Perth airport on the way out. Not enforced at the Qantas club. Required and rigourously enforced on 17 hr Qantas flight to London (bastards). Not required at UK and European airports. Required and mildly enforced on Lufthansa, not required on British Airways, not required on LOT (Polish air). Not required in Qantas club Heathrow. Required and mildly enforced on Qantas flight to Singapore. Required but not enforced at Singapore airport. Required but not enforced on Qantas flight Singapore to Perth. Unsure if required at Perth airport on return. About 30% of staff were not wearing them, however announcements were made to “please wear your masks”, though it was not enforced.

Vaccine passports: Not required anywhere at all until our return flight. We had to fill out an online Digital Passenger Declaration. Like all digital government forms, it was not fit for purpose. Our address, passport number, vaccine status and itinerary were either already known or irrelevant but still took about an hour to fill out. We were told via email that all the information was complete, then, on the day of the flight, another email told us it was incomplete. We ignored the second email. Despite being told to print or take a screen shot of the completed DPD, it was not required at either end.

As far as Europe is concerned, Covid is a thing of the past. Other than the Lufthansa flight, there were no restrictions anywhere in England, Belgium or Poland. With the very rare exception of the odd idiot in a mask, it was as if the pandemic never happened. BTW we caught the ‘rona in Belgium. 5 days, 20 panadol and half a dozen lozenges and we were good to go.

Yeah right. Where were they over the last 18 months during the vaccine mandates? But as far as the protest is concerned, it was sad and pathetic. How awful for you both, Jupes. I hope you still managed to reasonably evade the enforcement by holding a drink for most of the journey or ducking under a blanket to sleep mask free. We went Emirates and while they said masks were necessary no-one wore them all the time on the flight (in Business Class, I didn’t see into the main cabin on the A380 but I expect the disregard was similar). Most passengers around us completely disregarded masking, and we partied at the bar maskless with others unmasked – even a few of the staff dropped their masks down for that.

As you note, Covid was a nothingburger in the UK, and now you say on the continent too.

That stupid online form coming back in was definitely not fit for purpose; Hairy grappled with it online for an hour in the Lounge for his compliance before we departed and an hour at Dubai in the Lounge in transit for mine, to be ready for Sydney arrival (I had a happy time chatting to a Texas oil driller while he did that; love the way airports give opportunities like that). In the event, no-one asked for any print-outs we had and no-one asked anything about our vax status. Just sailed through the airport and home in a cab. All maskless.

Great to have you both back in Australia. BBQ at ours in Sydney soonest please.

If any of you want to see m0nty jumping a line of sharks with a rocket-powered shark, pop on over to The End of the Beginning post.

He’s started foaming about the alleged impending demise of the US EPA, harder than the average gunzel does when he lines up his camera on one of these things…*

(* The video is a pisstake. M0nty’s carry-on is quite real)

LOL. I watched the video with the most memorable line being – “Listen to that HORN”

Nice looking 1953 Diesel Loco’ though.

Nice looking 1953 Diesel Loco’ though.

I am not ashamed to confess that I will die happy once I have driven streamliner locos like these.

Aussie pioneer streamliner GM1 of 1951 has recently arrived into the care of Rail Beritage WA in Bassendean, and its restoration after some 15 years of sitting in the open in NSW has begun.* I look forward to highballing it in the near future. 🙂

* And that in itself, is a story for another time.

I’ve never been in this situation before.

I am trying to get rich or die trying and Gina Rynehart, Andrew Forrest and BHP & Itochu are all mean mugging my little penny stock.

I might have cultural awakening.

I am a proud member of the Mt Berghaus nation.

m0nty-fa

It’s always projection.

Amy Coney Barrett has said out loud into a mic that she is concerned about the supply of babies for adoption, and thinks repealing Roe increases it. Alito (IIRC) also talked about it in his opinion.

It is the five Dobbs judges who are treating women like livestock.

And Planned Parenthood is concerned about the continuing supply of “spare parts” for “research” purposes, from which PP makes a great deal of money.

It is planned Parenthood, and useful idiots like you, who are treating women like spare parts factories.

Rex, it’s not even about the EPA. It’s about attacking the whole system of government. Read up a little, please.

m0nty-fa now claims that the Supreme Court is about to abolish the US Constitution? Read up a little, please, and calm down. You are completely hysterical.

West Virginia v EPA is likely to prevent the federal US government from regulating. Full stop. Not just environmental issues but on anything.

Your ignorance is not endearing.

Oh! Shock! Horror! The unelected bureaucracy will no longer be able to make vast numbers of regulations that have the force of law! And theh enforce them without the approval of elected representatives! Shock Horror!

Then the Congress will have to take its Constitutional responsibilities, and instruments with the force of law will actually have to have the actual status of law! Shock Horror! The end of civilisation as the bureaucrats have known it! Shock! Horror!

It is the five Dobbs judges who are treating women like livestock.

Livestock, really?
Livestock breeders take great efforts not to have unplanned pregnancies in stock.
Unwanted breeders are sterilised or slaughtered.
Stock with superior genetics are used to provide sperm and embryos to improve productivity.
Animal analogies make poor argument.

WV v EPA may come out overnight, so we may know tomorrow Australian time.

I hope you lot are right on this one, because if you aren’t then things are going to devolvein America

m0nty-fa, I am surprised that, as a good Catholic, you are not familiar with the principle of subsidiarity, under which responsibility should be “devolved” to the lowest practical level.

Most of the problems of the modern world arise from excessive centralism (and I write this as a former Commonwealth public servant, where I have seen the problems that excessive centralism causes). A bit of devolution should increase our quality of administration.

BJ, you are a former public servant? No wonder you are such a crashing bore.

Why aren’t you still a public servant? It’s practically impossible to get fired, I’ve heard. You are also borderline retarded*, so you’d qualify for special treatment.

* note I am not using this word as an insult, I am saying he is literally functionally retarded.

“I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk.”

Lauren Boebert went full theocracy, and proclaimed, “The church is supposed to direct the government” per the founding fathers.

The veil falls.
