Turtlehead.

I don’t understand your need to speak to me. You’re aware how lowly I think of you and I’ll never forgive what a cowardly swine you are threatening Sinclair with legal action because I was mean to you. It’s never going to change, dickhead. I don’t want to converse with such a coward. You’re pathetic.

Tell the folks here how you made threats against Sinclair and explain to them why you would want to talk with me. Go on, you pathetic neurotic imbecile.

Were at a weird point of history where at one point of life women are struggling to concieve – (my wife was 40 at our first kid, we’d looked at adoption but basically unless you have a certificate of medical infertility and can apply a decade before you’re turning 37 and are deemed to old- hugh jackman’s missus pointed out there’s only half a dozen adoptions in Oz annually)
And at the other end of life, there’s constant importation of workers for old folks homes
…probably because of incompatible in-laws

Hospitals are never nice places to be. Fortunately, appendectomies are reasonably routine these days. Anyway, best wishes to you.

Hot water systems are not my favourite topic today. We have two of the bastards — top of the range 135L Rheem gas storage.

One of them shit itself so had a new one installed today. No invoice yet, but expecting well north of $2K. And the second one is the same age …

And to top it off, went into the garage yesterday and strong smell of petrol. It’s from the motorbike. I know what its — coming from the RHS it’s from the ridiculous plastic quick connectors BMW use in the fuel lines. They ALL eventually crack and leak. Throw in an annual service while it’s in the shop for repair and that’s another $1K down the gurgler.

The obvious solution in a logical world is “abduction”. Much cheaper. You only need a windowless van. Cost you a couple of hundred bucks for the day.

Etiquette is important. Pick on a family with more than 8 kids. They probably won’t miss one (possibly 2).

Today, in a deliberate abuse of senate privilege, Thorpe shouted at Senator Antic across the chamber and called him a “racist”. It took many requests before she retracted. I’m sorry, she’s unhinged and an embarrassment to parliament, she should be forced out. I’m tired of the left constantly dog-whistling smears such as racist, Nazi and far-right at their ideological opponents. It’s despicable. The parliament is becoming a joke.

But actually, these freaks are there because mindless morons vote for them, usually mindless well off morons in the more affluent electorates of this country. It’s these voters who are the joke.

Yes, but in Thorpe’s situation she was never voted in as I understand it. Just given the Senate seat on a plate. What a crazy place the Senate is.

Speaking of hospitals – good luck JC! – Five Days at Memorial is worth watching. Apple channel.

Covers the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Looks to be joining up over several episodes the nexus between the ethical and the legal situation as the hospital lost its power; had no evacuation plan, and tried to cope. What to do with patients who need ICU and therefore electricity and so on.

Have deliberately not looked up the reality of the situation but suspect the characters are amalgamations of some types – “we have to take in anyone who walks through the door” and so on, and accurate of others.

REST IN PEACE QUEEN ELIZABETH
The Queen’s remarkable 70-year reign has ended.
Her passing at age 96 is the end of an era. She was a constant in all our lives, a point of stability, resoluteness and inspiration.
She was a product of the World War 2 generation who took the view of ‘stay calm and carry on’.
A special person has been lost as we mourn and convey condolences to her family.
Most of all, we give thanks for a life that meant so much to so many people.

Good man.

2 leaders I have enjoyed reading their histories and seemed to have a genuine interest in their subjects/countries who were also some of the longest reinging. True. My mother died less than two months after falling and breaking her hip. She went downhill even though the hip replacement operation was a success, she just never got back on her feet. At least she was not in pain after the operation.

My stepfather, who is 90 years old, fell in the bathroom in April. He dislocated his hip socket. Ambulance called, he spent three months in three various hospitals. Because of his age, they didn’t operate, the operation is about ten hours long. It was my mother’s will who got him walking, the last hospital was a rehab hospital…one of the best in Sydney. He’s now walking, with a frame.

Had no real idea of what a Queen actually was but still have a clear memory of her standing snd waving as she and Phil were driven past us and wondering where she had put her crown.

As a toddler, I stood by a rail crossing in country Victoria as QEII sped past in the Royal Train in 1954 just after her coronation. Even little kids in those days were in awe of the monarch, not long after our fathers fought for King and country.

Now watch as the monarchy without the Queen’s steady hand degenerates into a circus freak show of political misfits pushing passing political fads — the same loopy preoccupations of the republican radicals in Australia.

China’s ‘Lost Decade’ Is Even Worse Than You Think

Turns out, economists worried about a Japan-like “lost decade” in China were both wrong—and right.

By “wrong” we mean that Asia’s largest economy today might not suffer the painful deflationary funk the region’s previous top power did. Or, depending on your view, still is given the comatose state of wages and Japan Inc.’s waning international influence.

By “right” we mean the cost of President Xi Jinping’s disastrous battle with Covid-19 variants Beijing clearly doesn’t understand. It’s helping relegate China to a roughly 4.5% growth rate for this decade—and 3% in the next one. This estimate from Oxford Economics means China won’t be catching up with the U.S. anytime soon in terms of living standards.

In fact, Adam Slater at Oxford suggests that South Korea, Taiwan and other major Asian export economies can probably stop looking over their shoulders, too. The odds of Chinese blowing past developing Asia in per capita income terms anytime soon may be dropping, too.

Xi’s ongoing Covid lockdowns are but the most glaring headwind hitting mainland growth prospects. Even though Omicron and other highly transmissible variants are undeterred by shutting down massive municipalities, Chinese officials can’t seem to help themselves. In recent days, the central city of Chengdu, population 21 million, was added to the shutdown list.

With roughly 60 million people stuck at home wondering what gives, China’s 0.4% growth rate in the April-June period year-in-year starts to look overly optimistic. That operations in the southern Chinese tech hub of Shenzhen are in doubt puts global supply chains fanning inflation are greater risk.

With roughly 60 million people stuck at home wondering what gives,

I have never understood Xi’s Covid Lockdowns – They just have not made any sense

Article Continues

In Slater’s view, the 4.5% growth average over this decade may be the good times—things drop to about 3% annually between 2030 and 2040. Reasons why include worse-than-estimated demographic challenges as an aging China makes the nation’s debt trajectory more troubling.

It’s often said that the Chinese might get old before they get rich. Turns out, China also might grow old before it gets sufficiently productive and innovative.

‘Time to be bold’ Liz Truss unveils two-year energy bills cap for all Brits

LIZ Truss threw a lifeline to families and businesses as she announced a two-year energy price freeze.

The Prime Minister said it was a time to be “bold” and there are “no cost-free options” as she set out an estimated £150 billion emergency package. Energy costs are being capped which means a typical household will pay around £2,500.

Wholesale costs will be limited to bring down bills for businesses and institutions such as schools, hospitals and churches for six months.

Ms Truss said failing to take action would harm the country and economy but she warned long-term supply issues must be tackled now as she announced the ban on fracking will be lifted.

She told the Commons: “This is the moment to be bold. We are facing a global energy crisis and there are no cost-free options.”

A total cost for the package will not be announced by the government until Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng gives his first budget later this month.

But the measures are expected to reduce inflation by five per cent, in turn bringing down the cost of servicing the national debt.

The price cap controlling energy bills had been expected to go up from £1,971 to £3,549 next month for a typical family and soar next year to as much as £6,000.

It wont be long…………yea yea……………..

Australia’s drug regulator, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), now calls for feedback on whether the agency should allow the use of repurposed, off-label ivermectin as an antiviral regimen against SARS-CoV-2, the virus behind COVID-19. TrialSite reported last September that TGA took their gloves off with physicians prescribing the drug off-label, formally placing a national prohibition on off-label prescribing of the drug to all general practitioners (GPs). This was a comparable move for what TGA did with hydroxychloroquine in 2020. The agency limited ivermectin access for COVID-19 to specialists. This media reported that this action didn’t occur in a vacuum, rather it involved the citing of lack of evidence, but in fact, comparable actions were occurring in multiple developed economies. Was this a carefully coordinated and orchestrated government action to stop all treatments other than those the government deemed acceptable? This media pondered: was the underlying mission to stop any activity that interrupted the mass vaccination program?

Ex-porn star Lana Rhoades desperate for another child but ‘doesn’t want to talk to men’

Lana is in hospital about to give birth, she motions the doc over and whispers to him “Doc i was a little naughty around the time of conception and am unsure of who the father might be, can you tell me the babies colour as he comes out so I can narrow it down”?
The doc is a little taken aback but agrees.
The baby crowns and the cap of the head looks a little yellow/olive, so he tells her.
“Oh that would have been Huong Long from the “enter, with drag on movie”.. she murmers.
Then the shoulders and chest appears, black, the doc is amazed but tells her
“”That would be the “Brothers in another mother” movie”, bugger, theres about 4 blokes it could be there…
the lower part of the torso comes out and it has a distinct copper tinge, the doc reports to her..
” Oh no, not Enormous Chief jackhammering Bull from “Custers last stand at the Alamo”..
Finally the legs drop out and they are white, the doc is resigned to it by now and tells her.
“Johnny Bongsmoke from “built like a greyhound, all prick and ribs”..

The doc hold up the bub and smacks its bum and it begins to cry.
“Oh thank you Jesus”, cries lana in a heartfelt voice
The doc reconsiders his hardened attitude, maybe even the heart of a turbo-whore can be turned by the miracle of new life….
Until Lana continues ‘for a moment then I though the little bastard was going to bark”…
