If you can’t close your account, there might be a couple of options available to you. Firstly, protect your assets. Notify your bank and have new cards issued. I know it’s a pain in the neck, but first things first. Secondly, I would also find out who to contact if you suspect your PP account is being used for criminal activity. Escalate and watch them close the thing pronto if there’s even a whiff of criminal investigation into them.

Murphy applied for a fork-lift job at a famous Irish firm based in Dublin.
A Polish man applied for the same job, and since both applicants had similar qualifications, they were asked to take a test and led to a quiet room with no interruptions by the Manager.
When the results were in, both men had scored 19 out of 20.
The manager went to Murphy and said “Thank you for coming to the interview, but we’ve decided to give the Pole the job”. Murphy: “And why would you be doing that? We both got 19 questions correct. This being Ireland and me being Irish, surely I should get the job”. Manager: “We have made our decision not on the correct answers, but on the question you got wrong”.
Murphy: “And just how would one incorrect answer be better than another?” Manager: “That’s simple. On question number 7 the Pole wrote down, ‘I don’t know’. You put down, ‘Neither do I’”.
Yesterday I caught up with an economist/strategist who’s in town from London.
He was saying Truss won’t last not because of this mini budget but because of the broader reform packages she want’s to introduce.
The next stage are business concentration laws & reviewing the tax shields on all sorts of assets in the UK.
Catching up on the old thread, I’m not surprised Charles groaned when he met with Truss.
The royal family benefits the most from tax shielded assets in the UK.
The real question is how was Truss allowed to get the top job if she had policies like this in her.
She didn’t develop them overnight.
And no wonder she didn’t consult the cabinet or party before announcing the mini budget.
Zero chance of it getting out of the blocks if she did.
Especially the next stages.

I think the thing which made Truss and KK so on the nose with the elites is she immediately approved fracking and said she wanted to be like Margaret Thatcher. The wet Tories would have had a fit. Then tax cuts! Arrgh, how dare she!
The dynamics are interesting though – when the Tories put the leadership to a vote the members invariably choose the rightiest one on offer. So what are they going to do now if they depose Truss, do a ‘captain’s pick’? I have no idea how they can get out of having another internal election, and that will cause the same problem. Righty voters want someone to represent them, like a Trump, not the elites running the Tory Party. (I won’t call them the Conservative Party because they aren’t.)

Farmers for Climate Action rally.
FARMERS are demanding Australia’s politicians take urgent action on climate change — including introducing an emissions trading scheme.
About 200 farmers and supporters have converged on Parliament House in Canberra, as part of a rally organised by Farmers for Climate Action.
Earlier, a convoy of 10 trucks and utes circled Parliament, bearing signs such as “Break the drought on climate action” and “No new coal mines”
The rally comes in the midst of the ongoing drought gripping Queensland, NSW and parts of Victoria. While Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he was “praying for rain” and that the Federal Government would continue to provide assistance, he would not enter discussion on the role climate change may play in this or future droughts.
It also comes after the Government abandoned its National Energy Guarantee and legislating a target for reducing carbon emissions by at least 26 per cent by 2030.
I saw the above headline on the herald sun web site. Not sure of detail as no subscription. Makes you wonder if the narrative is shifting.

It is foolhardy to reach firm conclusions about what happened, but on what I’ve read this morning, Linda Reynolds’ reputation has taken a hit. She wrote the show cause letter to Lehrmann without mentioning the rape allegation. Why not? Even if she considered it irrelevant, she should have told him so. Moreover, plain natural justice required to her employee that he should have been informed so that he could respond, in particular given its wide currency.
I suspect that once the allegation was made, the policy was to get Lehrmann off the premises asap, and to placate Higgins so as avoid this emerging in the election campaign.
That Lehrmann was kept in the dark for so long is scandalous. It looks like the poor bugger never had much of a chance making a defence. What has gone down on the trial has worked against him.
For his sake, and for young men in general, I hope that there will at least be a hung jury.
what was the National Energy Guarantee? Not really clear but Labor’s bringing it back.

Kanye West – Can the Banks Cancel Someone?
From Armstrong Economics –
“Kanye West is a polarizing character, which is part of his celebrity. He says things to shock people and counter the current societal norms. He has long spoken out against the woke agenda, making waves by appearing with Candace Owens in “White Lives Matters” shirts. He was temporarily banned from social media platforms after talking poorly about the Jewish community while also saying black people are also Jewish. The man admits to having a mental illness. Still, they put microphones in his face and promote what he has to say as shocking and offensive to sell a story. It is no surprise that he was temporarily canceled from social media as all the major platforms cancel dissenters on a mass scale for much less. However, what happened next was a wake-up call for coming social credit scores.
JPMorgan Chase made an announcement that West is no longer permitted to bank with their institution. West, a billionaire, must remove all his funds from the bank by the end of the month. I do not care about celebrities, but I do care about corporations having the ability to remove freedoms over free speech. JPMorgan Chase showed that anyone who speaks out against the norm could have their funds uprooted.
The bank acts as the jury and judge. Epstein was permitted to hold funds at JPMorgan Chase despite an ongoing pedophile ring trial. Bernie Madoff banked with JPMorgan Chase. The same bank took direct action in World War II to aid the Nazis. Chase bank issued Rückwanderer marks so that American Nazi sympathizers could buy German marks for a discount. Those funds were mainly stolen from Jews who fled Germany as antisemitism was on the rise. Let’s not forget former President Franklin D. Roosevelt placed a freeze on German assets in the US at that time, which is another topic. Chase bank funneled Third Reich assets through South America to avoid FDR’s ruling.
PayPal released an internal memo earlier in the week stating that they were considering fining users $2,500 for “misinformation” and quickly backtracked after their stock plummeted. Social credit scores are being ushered in by the New World Order. The same banks that fund pedophiles and actual Nazis can discard your funds if they personally disagree with you.”

A bit garbled there, but it’s clear enough for the intelligent Cat folk.
It’s really simple. They reflect the will of the government and law enforcement, therefore they will not be punished. They are like unofficial shock troops. They are safe unless it becomes politically expedient to throw one of them under the bus, and that will be a drone not a leader.
The peaceful Christians are in strife for the opposite reason. They are defying the Borg and must be eliminated. So far they are lucky with fines and show trials and other soft persecutions…it hasn’t gone full martyrdom yet.
This is what made me so angry at the start of the lockdowns, we were deprived of possible treatments simply to cause maximum death, confusion and terror. Our governments are guilty of capital crimes, they knowingly prevented sick people from being treated. Everything was sacrificed just to break the people’s spirit and to make them agree to experimental vaccines.

Lehrmann was fired for the security breach by Reynold’s CoS on the Tuesday following.
Britnah had her meeting with the CoS immediately afterwards and it was during this meeting that the first suggestion of assault arose.
How could Reynolds have included an allegation in a “show cause” letter given to Lehrmann as part of his exit meeting when that allegation had not been made at that point?

Janet A has another good piece today, it’s called “The dark side of #MeToo”. After reading it I was reminded of something I witnessed back in 2017. The truth is that women are not just victims, they are also perpetrators, they are also stalkers and they are also liars.
“But most people don’t get to tell their side against a background of the presumption of innocence, reasonable doubt and evidentiary rules aimed at producing high-calibre evidence. Without this legal scaffolding, there is an assumption that once an allegation is made, there must be consequences. I hear about them: a specialist doctor suspended, even though the woman who complained to the medical board about him later admitted in court that she lied; another man, an academic, his life is in tatters, his former partner can’t seem to let go of their mucked-up relationship; a union leader who lost his job because he had two consensual relationships with two adult women at different times who appeared to relish their relationship with him – until they didn’t and he was sacked.”
I remember it was on a Saturday and after a yoga class here in Paddington. I’d stopped to buy the newspaper and some bread, I walked out of the shop, crossed the road and witnessed a young woman screaming at another man and woman (again both young). They tried walking away and she followed, still screaming. The woman who was with the man stopped and started talking to the screaming woman, presumably to try and reason with her. I was intrigued. I noted how the man kept walking, albeit slowly and I caught up with him. I asked him if everything was okay and I could see he was at wit’s end, he said that the screaming woman was his ex-girlfriend, who doesn’t even live around here and she was making his life hell, she’d been following the two of them, pestering them and stalking them for days now, even outside his home, and she’d even harassed him at work. I told him he needs to go to the police, he responded by saying that she’s a school teacher and that any such action would jeopardise her career. I told him he needs to throw away such civilities and niceties, she needs a knock on the door from the police in order to warn and scare her because until she receives this, nothing will change and she’ll continue harassing him and any girlfriend he has. I told him women can be nasty, toxic, conniving and downright evil. He was rather surprised that a woman could speak so bluntly about other women but I told him that women know women in a way that men don’t and never will.
All women are COWS, Cassie.
You know that.
Codeine was seen as too dangerous and had to be removed so arthritis and other pain sufferers were only left with paracetamol which is less effective as a pain killer. As a result there is overuse. The clever people then remove all pain relievers. What do they think will come next? People growing their own poppies and cooking the pods?
The smart people also don’t have a problem with euthanasia for people too distressed with pain and suffering. I wonder if that is the ultimate goal.
Tree changers with tiny holdings.
Mc and Crossie, the Hun article you discussed:
Exclusive: Australian researchers have identified 12 medicines already approved for use in treating other conditions that could quickly be adapted to fight Covid.
They include common antihistamine medications, drugs used to prevent nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing chemotherapy, an antidepressant and three cancer medications.
The scientists are seeking $1.5 million in funding to test three of the most promising drugs against Covid in a potentially game-changing phase 1 human clinical trial.
Despite the speedy development of vaccines, more than 13,000 Australians died of the virus this year and new treatments are desperately needed.
Although the new Pfizer medication Paxlovid cuts hospitalisation rates by 89 per cent, it can’t be widely used because it interacts with many other medications people are taking.
Another anti-viral, Lagevrio, was originally found to be 30 per cent effective at preventing hospitalisation and death but new research suggests it is not that effective against the latest Covid variants.
A handful of Covid remedies called monoclonal antibodies that were developed to treat the original Covid virus are also not as effective against new variants.
The new research, published in International Journal of Molecular Sciences, was conducted using a $1 million grant from Australia’s Medical Research Future Fund.
The team of scientists was led by Australian researcher Seshadri Vasan, honorary professor at the UK’s University of York, and Monash University’s Natalie Trevaskis.
They looked at 7817 FDA-approved drugs and applied a variety of filters to identify those most likely to work against Covid.
They found more than 200 possibilities but most were ruled out because they could not be used in pregnant women or were unsafe in certain patients.
“Although we haven’t quite said X marks the spot, we have narrowed down the search area to the top 200 or so candidates, for ourselves and fellow researchers,” Professor Vasan said.
“All of the medicines that made it to the (final) top 12 were used by lots of people every day in Australia in the US,” Associate Professor Trevaskis said.
Identifying medications that were already approved for other conditions meant they could quickly be put into use without the need for lengthy animal trials.
The study reviewed all major studies around the world where existing medications had been tested against Covid in a laboratory dish, to see if they stopped the virus replicating.
“And then we ranked them from top to bottom, we filtered out some effects we didn’t think were safe,” Professor Trevaskis said.
“We wanted to make sure that the effect was at a concentration of the drug that you’d likely to be able to achieve in a in a person.”
Earlier in the Covid pandemic, already-approved medications malaria drug hydroxychloroquine and worming drug ivermectin were hyped as potential treatments for Covid.
It turned out neither of them actually worked against Covid. Many people had seizures and other adverse reactions — some even died after experimental use.
Professor Trevaskis said even though the 12 medicines the research identified showed potential in a lab dish against Covid, this did not mean they would work in humans.
“I want to be careful that people don’t rush and take these medicines when we need to just keep doing further research and the clinical test to make sure that they work,” she said.’

The drugs approved by TGA have not been impressive although have had big price tags.
Remdesivir was being given out in hospitals early this year. Courier Mail had an article in Feb where hospital staff were complaining could not get enough. Meanwhile recently in California relatives are suing 3 hospitals over deaths caused by Remdesivir. Was approved by TGA mid 2020 despite little testing. Prior to that known as a failed Ebola drug.
Mulnuprivir (spelling?) the Merck drug according to recent SMH article has been found to have no impact although some BS about reduced recovery time.
Paxlovid has issues as can have bad effect with multiple other drugs. Famous cases of cure and not cured involving Biden and Fauci.
All produced quickly and with price tags of $1,000 per patient. Regularly hear ads for them on radio. Basically don’t worry medicine is available. I don’t worry as chances of hospitalisation or dying from Omicron remote.
Meanwhile they demonised and basically lied about the dangers (ie. none) of the Nobel prize winning drug Ivermectin. Have seen video of Fed CHO Kelly and CHO VIC straight out misleading the public on its safety. Oh yes, as we know incredibly cheap.
“Covid death toll continues to mount despite vaccines and new treatments, now Australian researchers have found 12 common medicines they hope can help fight the virus.

So just a cursory look through the article, there were 200 medications that were already in circulation that a boffin at the time couldn’t identify to ‘combat covid’?
Remember the talking heads said we must look at all measures to keep on top of it, but untested vaccines and authoritarian lockdowns were looked on with great fervour among our elites. And the rest as they say is history. There must be severe reprisals.
So now we are looking at floods that will test the most hardy of farmers and indeed those that live next to Maribyrnong River, who aren’t that hardy.

In addition, if we really want to stop using ‘horse drugs’ for humans, you can stop using anaesthetics, pain killers, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories etc etc etc
My understanding is that Lehrmann was summarily dismissed on the Tuesday following.
What good is a “show cause” letter after the event?
But let’s say Reynolds knew of the allegation.
If they wanted to get rid of Lehrmann they already had enough. He had been warned about Lone Ranger visits to the office after hours once before. Simply fire him for that and that alone. Loading up the letter with unfounded allegations leaves it open to challenge.

Decisions were made in secret because the politicians and bureaucrats knew they could not justify them if deliberations were made public. In other words, they knew what they did was bad and they had to hide how they arrived at their decisions. The politicians also thought that by the time it was made public they will be long gone either from public life or just life.
Be aware.
Well, if he is still President then he’s doing a rotten job of it.

The Old Murray takes a torturous route to get to the sea in SA and is slowed down by the Lower Lakes, the Coorong and generally flat terrain that all contribute to silt build up.
A bloody good slug of water usually clears the mouth.
If you read the Murray Darling Basin reasoning for throwing water at the lower end of the river, it’s mostly based on salinity management and stopping tidal influence.
Yet, keeping the lower lakes permanently full increases salinity, particularly for a region that was under a sea in recent geological times. The drains in the SE of SA not only created good dry land between the ranges but most importantly lowered the salinity by keeping the water table down.
The big dams upstream are a boon for salinity management. They are in high short run country and hold very good low salinity water.
More dams less government would help.

Just one illustration of why I never, ever join any of those ‘rewards’ programs.
It’s simple economics. Why would they give special offers and discounts unless they are getting something in return? And ‘customer loyalty’ doesn’t cut it in dollars and cents. It is because they are using and/or selling your personal information.
How many hacks of company databases is it going to take for punters to wake up to this? In the case of Optus, why on earth did they need all that personal information, like passport details?
Stopped using Gmail recently after they got too nosey.
Sometimes it’s unavoidable, but in general, my rule is to have nothing to do with companies that demand personal information in order for you to do business with them.
@ Rosie:
Regarding Paracetamol and suicides:
Firstly, a disclosure. I am NOT a doctor, nor have I ever played one on TV.
I know a paracetamol OD survivor.
She had come to the conclusion that she was having an “unbearable existential crisis” and decided to “end it all”. (This happened before she met me; so lay off the “quizzical” looks).
The way this young lady later described it to me was that she was LUCKY to be alive.
Minutes after she guzzled a swag of pills, a house-mate unexpectedly turned up, spoke to the young lady concerned and promptly called an ambulance. The Ambos arrived promptly and pumped her stomach.
A LOT of “pain-killers” and pretty much ALL antibiotics suppress liver function. This is the usually unspoken reason for NOT consuming alcohol if you are taking any of these drugs. Without full liver function “processing” the alcohol, you get very intoxicated, very quickly.
Enough “liver function suppression” pills and the organ in question SHUTS DOWN permanently. This is NOT a good thing.
What happens with the pill overdose “suicides” is that they take the pills, fall asleep, but then wake up several hours later.
The catch is that their digestive system has dumped all of that stuff into the bloodstream, thus it gets pumped through the assorted organs, including the liver, shutting it down.
So, upon waking, the “victim” is a bit bewildered, but maybe a little thankful to be alive.
“Bad luck” ensues a few days later as the body succumbs to the toxins accumulating in the bloodstream because the liver has been killed off. Other organs are also affected to various degrees by a lot of these substances. As with ALL drugs and “poisons”; the DOSE RATE is critical. Quantity per time-frame.
Remdesivir aka Rundeathisnear. Good chance of trashing your kidneys and killing you. Failed TWO previous clinical trials, not just the Ebola one, due to ineffectiveness and danger. Doesn’t work against Covid 19 either.

The women who do this play the ‘damsel in distress, just a grrrrl but you go grrrl’ card all day, every day. Most of it is feminine pride, combined with a reliance on the ‘you wouldn’t do that to a girl’ philosophy.
This bloke has to realise that the only way to get rid of this woman is to – each and every time she comes near him and the new misso in public – point at her, in front of as many people as possible, and remark at full volume:

An old priest lay dying in a hospital. He had served the people of the nation’s capital for many years.
He motioned for the nurse to come near.
“Yes, Father?” said the nurse. “I would really like to see Bill and Hillary Clinton before I die” whispered the priest. “I will see what I can do” said the nurse.
The nurse sent the request to Washington and waited for a response. Soon an answer came back; Both Bill Clinton and Hillary would be delighted to visit the priest.
As they were driven to the hospital, Hillary commented to Bill, “I don’t know why this old priest wants to see us, but it certainly will help our images and may even help my popularity troubles”. Bill agreed it was a good thing.
When they arrived at the priest’s room, the priest took Bill’s hand in his right hand and Hillary’s hand in his left hand. There was silence and a look of serenity on the old priest’s face.
Finally, Bill spoke “Father, of all the people you could have chosen, why did you chose us to be with you at this time when your end is so near?”
The old priest slowly replied “I have always tried to pattern my life and behaviour after our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ”.
“Amen” said Hillary.
“Amen” said Bill.
The old priest continued “Jesus Christ, our Saviour, died between two lying, thieving bastards and I would be happy to do the same!”
‘Now. What are you prepared to do?’

New Book Gives Explosive Account of How Pfizer, Team Biden, and FDA May Have ‘Colluded’ to ‘Rig Election’
“We had to really move at the speed of science,” Janine Small, Pfizer’s president of international markets, told the European Parliament this week. “We had to do everything at risk.”
That quote came as part of a stunning admission by the pharmaceutical company’s senior executive that the COVID-19 vaccines it developed were not tested for preventing transmission, upending the entire rationale behind vaccine mandates.
When former White House Deputy Press Secretary Brian Morgenstern heard it, he was stunned.
That’s because Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla used the same five words when justifying the timing of when the company released data about its vaccine’s efficacy—one day after the press declared Joe Biden winner of the 2020 election.
“For us, the Election Day was always an artificial day. We were not working with the election as a timeline,” Bourla claimed at the time. “The only pressure we feel is the pressure of the billions of people hoping on our vaccine. And we are going to follow the speed of science, so science spoke.”
As Morgenstern details in the book “Vignettes & Vino,” which he co-authored with his wife, Teresa, a former senior White House communications advisor for Operation Warp Speed, that announcement was chalked up to coincidence, but chance it was not.
It was clear “when they said they were moving at the speed of science, they were moving at the speed of political science,” he told Townhall.
As Morgenstern explained in an email, the data’s release came “after [Pfizer] met with Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, an adviser to Joe Biden’s campaign and the brother of Rahm Emanuel. And once Biden took over, Pfizer ‘coincidentally’ received massive contracts from the U.S. government at 25 percent markups for the same vaccine shots they were selling before the election.”
But that’s not the only troubling part of the story.
Morgenstern walks readers through a detailed timeline of the events leading up to the data’s release – data that initially had been promised in October – to demonstrate how “Pfizer, the FDA, and the Biden campaign colluded to rig the election.”
While efforts to undermine former President Trump’s chances of winning reelection were coming from all angles, delaying the release of data that brought hope at a time in the pandemic when 1,000 people per day were dying from COVID-19 shows the sinister lengths leftists went to get the 45th president out of office.
“They were so obsessed with getting power that they were willing to do anything,” Morgenstern said.
While Democrats have their man in the Oval Office and Pfizer is sitting on more than $60 billion in profits thanks to “governments purchasing and mandating their vaccine—even though the mandates were not justified by science,” according to Morgenstern, trust in public health bureaucracies has been shattered.
“We have to be able to trust them,” he said, “and right now, we can’t, and we have to fix that.”
Readers will find that although some of the insider accounts in “Vignettes & Vino,” such as the vaccine saga, can be infuriating, there’s much more to the book than that. In addition to the fun menu and drink pairings accompanying each chapter, the diverse stories included telling an important and interesting part of U.S. history from the perspective of two “normal people” who worked their way to some of the highest levels of government.
Following a question in the WA State Parliament by Peter Collier MLC, the WA govt will retain the G2G travel pass data for up to 25 years.
