“Aboriginal activist Nareen Young claims Alice Springs meeting to โ€˜Mississippi Burningโ€™”

Ms Young likes hyperbole, it’s her stock and trade. This is the same Nareen Young, ABC favourite go to far-left activist who early last year, just before the federal election, said white bread is typically only eaten by Anglo men in Australia, in other words white bread and those who like to eat white bread are misogynistic white supremacists.

By the way, apparently “Nareeeeeeee” is a good friend of PM Sleazy the Word Slusher.

Unsurprising.

A woman wants to have abortion. She is given the choice between just doing it or having the fetus transferred to an artificial womb and being put up for adoption later on.

Ok. I think I get your point.
I find the womans view quite repugnant. But I don’t know the accompanying emotional circumstances. Conceived through rape/incest/coercion – just a tragic situation all round. More so for the kid.

They won’t need to have formal program delivery functions. The Voice will “advise” the government what programs are “needed”, how they are to be organised, how they will be delivered, and which Voice proteges will “supervise’ the delivery. No, it’s vicious antiWhite propaganda.

To be honest, like the reluctance to donate embryos to infertile couples, people will feel very uncomfortable about having their babies raised by complete strangers.

Higgins DPP threatened me: trial witness
Crown Prosecutor Shane Drumgold has been accused of threatening and intimdating a key witness during the Bruce Lehrmann rape trial.

Exclusive
By JANET ALBRECHTSEN
Columnist

A key witness in the Bruce Lehrmann rape trial has accused the prosecutor of threatening and ยญintimidating her as she left the witness box on a morning tea break, and of ignoring her pleas to be ยญrecalled to the stand to refute what she alleged was โ€œblatantly false and misleadingโ€ evidence by Brittany Higgins.

Former Liberal staffer Fiona Brown says ACT Director of ยญPublic Prosecutions Shane Drumgold SC and an associate berated her for providing โ€œinadmissable evidenceโ€ and that Mr Drumgold then tried to use her mental health to discredit her as a witness.

In a formal complaint to the ACT Bar Association, Ms Brown alleges that, prior to the trial, Mr Drumgold was so dismissive of her concerns about the potential ยญimpact of the upcoming Logies โ€“ where TV presenter Lisa Wilkinsonโ€™s interview with Ms Higgins was up for an award โ€“ that it caused her to break down emotionally during a conference with him.

The explosive allegations are expected to be referred to the board of inquiry established under jurist Walter Sofronoff KC to probe accusations of ยญmisconduct made against both police and prosecutors involved in the case.

The allegations follow a formal complaint of professional misconduct lodged by Mr Lehrmann against Mr Drumgold, revealed on Wednesday by The Australian, ยญalleging the DPP failed to ensure a fair trial and was driven by malice and โ€œpolitical interestsโ€.

During the trial in the ACT Supreme Court last year Ms Higgins gave evidence that she felt pressured by her chief of staff, Ms Brown, and her boss, Liberal minister Linda Reynolds not to pursue the alleged assault, in the context of a looming federal election.

Ms Brown strongly denied in evidence that she had been ยญanything but supportive of Ms Higgins, saying she and Senator Reynolds had told Ms Higgins she was within her rights to make a police complaint and would be fully ยญsupported.

But in her complaint lodged with the ACT Bar Association on December 21 last year, Ms Brown says that midway through giving her evidence she was โ€œberatedโ€ by Mr Drumgold and felt โ€œthreatened and intimidated as a witnessโ€.

โ€œAt 11.16am a morning tea break was declared, as I left the witness box to make my way out of the courtroom, Mr Drumgold and his associate approached me and berated me, stating that I was coming close to providing inadmissable evidence because of the way I was answering the questions,โ€ Ms Brown wrote.

โ€œI felt threatened and intimidated by their approach. The courtroom still had a lot of people in it and I was left humiliated.โ€

Ms Brown says she returned to the witness box 20 minutes later โ€œshaken by their admonishment of meโ€. She gave evidence that in a meeting between the pair three days after the alleged rape, Ms Higgins initially denied anything had happened, but two days later volunteered that Mr Lehrmann had been on top of her while they were in Parliament House during the early hours of March 23, 2019.

The problem is they don’t view the embryos as children or they are going back to very basal animalistic instincts.

Telling successful IVF couples their child is commodified, I am sure this would be not taken well.

If experiments are successful on other mammals, it is a near certainty human experimentation is going on in ethics free parts of the world, perhaps in secret and for megabucks. These that already exist, is the animal in utero removed and implanted in the artificial womb or are you talking about the entire process being artificial?

The new asexual process for procreation need not be wasteful at all. It could be done in utero or the artificial womb. The wombs are also closed systems and so can be made highly efficient. That is dependent on your infrastructure.

One application of this I think is acceptable to everyone is extremely early premature births due to an underlying medical problem, even those that are induced and by caesarean.

Again I think this has the potential to reduce the demand and in turn justification for abortions.

Iโ€™ve been uncomfortable going to my local hotel since I was ordered out for being unvaccinated a couple of years ago. Not their fault, theyโ€™d been dragooned into being a part of the law enforcement of the COVID hysteria.

No problems, they were just โ€˜following ordersโ€™

I get the joke.
That aside, it’d be more accurate to say we were placed under duress, coerced at threat of loss of livelihood & given an ultimatum of complying or being taken down similar to Rodney King.

Any liquor licence holder in Qld who refused to comply was raided by armed & kevlar clad police at One AM, handcuffed & carted off to the station.

As said in an earlier thread, this is more than Qld Police did at Tara to the Train brothers.
The cops “swat-raided” the bedrooms of non-compliance liquor licencees at OneAM & dragged ’em out in cuffs.
For the Trains, Qld police waited outside until eventually the Trains grew bored & came out.

I was never ‘following orders’ (I am self-employed, nobody but nobody gives me orders). I was unwillingly complying under direct personal duress. Faced with threat of mammoth fines, arrest via swat-raid & handcuffing (in the wee hours when I’m asleep), forced closure of my business, and being the catalyst for all of my staff losing their jobs – in a job market with hundreds of thousands of their colleagues already unemployed & despairing of their future.

Whites donโ€™t count. Or maybe Nareen thought they were Blacks who happened to have white skin – like you get in Australia.

Anyway if the Blacks in the movie, instead of merely wanting to enrol to vote, made a habit of descending upon the town at night getting drunk, smashing up shops and cars, and beating each other senseless with star pickets and laying into each other with axes and machetes and attacking any of the Whites (in the movie) who dares venture outside after dark, and if the white people in Mississippi Burning? Rather than lynching innocent but uppity Blacks, just met together to talk about how they might protect their livelihoods and lives from the nightly carnage – then she may have a point.

Still, it is instructive to see how such an emotive but profoundly flawed an argument can be enunciated by an academic as evidence of how far academe has fallen.

Still, it is instructive to see how such an emotive but profoundly flawed an argument can be enunciated by an academic as evidence of how far academe has fallen.

Seems the academic in question was from Sydney…

Few Americans would even know their country is *not* a Democracy, but a Republic.

It is a democracy. Democracy does not actually mean that at the highest aggregated level everyoneโ€™s vote has the same value – that is generally at the most basal level.

Reflect on the old argument โ€œWhat if 51% of the population voted to kill the other 49%?โ€ Anything that limits that limits democracy.

More realistically sheer numbers would have NSW and VIC deciding every question in Australia. Hence the Senate.

Even the Ancient Athenians encountered the problem. The Demes of the City dominated over the Demes of the Plain and the Demes of the Coast. Their solution may have worked (new tribes based on trittys) but of course they all lived within a few miles of each other and could actually meet and cultivate a sense of communal spirit.

In fact, the reason to oppose such methods arises out of what is owed to them as human beings: to be created in the normal fashion, to a mother and father, raised in their custody, and so on.

Given you have made some exceptions, would you be opposed to an ideal adoptive couple using either or both technologies if their inability to conceive or carry to term was no fault of their own?

We don’t have a true blanket rule against killing; we have an exception for self defence.

I would say even if a blanket rule or rules is or are prudent, an exception or exceptions may also be prudent in either case.

Opinion: Indigenous Voice farcical while Alice Springs not being heard

Despite being the most represented town in Federal Parliament, Alice Springs remains in crisis, writes Matt Canavan.

Alice Springs is perhaps the most represented town in the Australian Parliament. There are two members of parliament from Alice, Labor MP Marion Scrymgour and Coalition senator Jacinta Price.
With a population of 30,000, Alice Springs has a federal representative for every 15,000 people. In comparison, Brisbane has an MP for every 70,000 people.

Marion and Jacinta are Aboriginal. In effect, Alice Springs has a loud โ€œvoiceโ€, albeit an unheard one.

Both of the Alice Springs MPs have been warning for months about rising crime levels in Central Australia. Marion and Jacinta last year criticised the removal of alcohol restrictions in the NT, and especially raised concerns about how they would impact vulnerable women. And both have been completely ignored by the federal and NT Labor governments.

Laborโ€™s Indigenous Australians Minister, Linda Burney, this week ludicrously claimed that if the Aboriginal Voice to Parliament had been established the shocking surge of violent crime in Alice Springs might have been avoided.

If Linda Burney does not listen to elected Aboriginal members of our nationโ€™s Parliament, how does she have any chance of listening to the members of a Voice to Parliament?

A recent poll found that just 13 per cent of Australians could explain what the Voice to Parliament was, so I should explain what this proposal is about.

Later this year the Australian people will be asked whether they would support a change to our Constitution that would require the establishment of a new body called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.

The Voice may make representations to parliament and the government on matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The details of this Voice remain otherwise light on. Even the Prime Minister cannot explain whether the Voice will be elected, will members be paid, how many staff will they have or even how many members of the Voice there will be. There is no guarantee, for example, that a member of the Voice will even come from Alice Springs.

Despite much of the detail still to be worked out, the new Labor government has become obsessed and distracted by its Voice proposal. That is why it has been blindsided by the descent of a major Australian town into chaos.

The whole experience highlights how the Voice will not be the means to improve the lives of Indigenous Australians.

The Voice is set to be just another talkfest whose only practical benefit will be to make the people that like to recognise the traditional owners of the land feel good about themselves.

It is instructive to think about why they call it the Voice. There would be around 20 to 30 initial members of the Voice. So why is the Voice expressed in the singular, not plural form? With up to 30 members of the body, shouldnโ€™t it be called the Voices to Parliament?

Aboriginal people are as diverse and rich as any other group of human beings. They have different views, different aspirations and different skills.

The most dehumanising aspect of the woke agenda is its obsession in lumping individual human beings into homogenous groups.

For some, all gay people are expected to have this view, and all black people that view.

Hence there is the expectation that a group of Aboriginal people the size of the classroom will speak with โ€œone Voiceโ€.

Such a perspective is an insult to the individuality and dignity of every individual human being.

This is the main reason we should be against the Voice, because it seeks to divide Australians into opposing groups based on our genes.

We should take the wisdom of John Howard to heart. He said that what unites us as Australians is much more than what divides us.

I do not pretend to have all of the answers for Alice Springs.

But I am confident that dividing our country by race, and establishing a race-based body in our Constitution, is not the way to build harmony and progress.

What is needed is to recognise that we are all Australians. That each of us has the dignity of a human soul and we all deserve to live safely and free from the terror of crime.

That attitude would be enough to stop our politicians being distracted with grand constitutional schemes and instead just start listening to the voices that already reside in our crime-ridden towns.

Full retard. The Thompson comes from a failed attempt to use a much more powerful cartridge with the โ€œH-blockโ€ mechanism. Didnโ€™t work, thus a .45 ACP with a complicated H block mechanism when it could have been blow back.

It’s funny to see how totally thick the Left is.

Revealed: how US transition to electric cars threatens environmental havoc (Guardian, 24 Jan)

By 2050 electric vehicles could require huge amounts of lithium for their batteries, causing damaging expansions of mining

The USโ€™s transition to electric vehicles could require three times as much lithium as is currently produced for the entire global market, causing needless water shortages, Indigenous land grabs, and ecosystem destruction inside and outside its borders, new research finds.

It warns that unless the USโ€™s dependence on cars in towns and cities falls drastically, the transition to lithium battery-powered electric vehicles by 2050 will deepen global environmental and social inequalities linked to mining โ€“ and may even jeopardize the 1.5C global heating target.

How amazingly amazing! Who’da thunk that massive use EVs would need massive amounts of lithium mining and cause massive amounts of environmental damage? (Given each tonne of lithium causes the production of up to 100 tonnes of corrosive residue.)

Of course they go on to hype the wonders of public transport, so they haven’t quite swallowed the red pill. No mention in the article though that leftist-caused violence and crime is scaring people off public transport in big cities.

Scramblies – 2 eggs. Whisk. Add a teaspoon of water to loosen. Whisk. Heat butter in non-stick pan. Add egg mix. Gently lift and fold as it cooks, stopping a crust forming on the pan. Do not over work.

Just before you think theyโ€™re done, remove from heat. They will continue to cook as you faff around getting them from stove to plate to mouth. Serve with hot toast, a grind of salt and pepper.

And, if youโ€™re Rockefeller, a shave of black truffle. ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m surprised to see the news publish this.

The frightful abuse in the NT has been around for a very long time. I don’t suppose things are about to change.

Finished off watching season 4 of FAUDA last night .

We finished catching up with Yellowstone last night, S05 was a disappointment, it seems to have lost its puff, way too much filler.

Now onto the prequels.

There is no evidence to support the false and baseless claim that Joe Biden has ever sniffed little girls. This type of false and harmful misinformation can be damaging and spread quickly on the internet. It is important to fact-check information before sharing it and to avoid spreading false or misleading claims.

There is no credible evidence to support the false claim that Joe Biden has ever touched pre-teen girls inappropriately. It is important to be mindful of misinformation and false claims that circulate online, especially when it comes to serious allegations. The act of spreading false information can be damaging and has real-life consequences. It is always a good idea to verify information before sharing it, and to rely on credible news sources for accurate information.

Joe Biden, like any human being, can sometimes have moments where his speech may appear to be less coherent than usual. However, it is not accurate or fair to characterize him as consistently speaking incoherently. Speaking in public and under pressure can be challenging for anyone, and it is important to be mindful of the context and circumstances surrounding an individual’s speech.

I could not find any credible evidence of former President Barack Obama making a statement that characterized Vice President Joe Biden as having an innate ability to “f&$# things up.” It is important to be cautious of false or misleading information, especially when it comes to serious allegations or claims about public figures. Before sharing information, it’s always best to verify it through credible sources.

I’m sorry, but I couldn’t find any reference to a statement made by Joe Biden that includes the phrase “Truindenashendubbabapresser.” It’s possible that this is a misspelling or a reference to a garbled or misremembered quote. In such cases, it’s best to check credible sources for accurate information.

There have been instances where Joe Biden has appeared to reach out to shake hands with someone who was not there. It’s possible that these moments were due to misperceptions or distractions.

There have been claims that Joe Biden has lied about his academic performance, but these claims have not been substantiated. Biden has said that he was a proud student at the University of Delaware and Syracuse Law School, but that he struggled at times and was not always at the top of his class.

Pastry making is one of my favourite pastimes. Last week I made Tarte Tatin and of course I made the pastry…which was very good and very crisp. My secret for good pastry such as shortcrust or pate sucre is that everything should be cold…including the eggs. In fact it is the only time when I bake that I make sure the eggs are cold.

I also like making choux and puff.

Iโ€™m open only to the use of an artificial womb in the case of a couple that repeatedly miscarries.

Thanks dover for bothering to reply.

It is a topic that makes almost everyone uncomfortable but we will need to confront it in the future with rationality and empathy because the technology is almost here legitimately and probably working under clandestine and nefarious operations. Dismissing it out of hand is unwise because abuse of it especially in the hands of despotic regimes might seem far fetched but it is the thing of nightmares. The history of similar technologies shows this unsettling assumption to be generally true.

I think there is a properly conservative case for both a couple that consistently miscarries or very early premature babies. You can probably extend this to near certain chances of the above based on hereditary conditions or genetic markers.

โ€˜I donโ€™t suppose things are about to change.โ€™

Nope.

A few years ago now there was quite the uproar when some people in Alice Springs had had such a gut full of being tormented by junior pisswrecks that set baits – open liquor bottles, three-quarters full of grog and one-quarter full of stuff that would make them very crook indeed. Said baits were left against trees in on near the Todd River bed.

From memory, one of the tormentors died and half a dozen more ended up in the Alice Springs and Adelaide hospitals.

A citizensโ€™ patrol group – unkindly referred to in some quarters as vigilantes – also sprung up, and spent their nights chasing these people off the streets. That one came undone when one of the utes they were driving stacked into a tree, injuring all its occupants.

There is a limit to what people will endure while their businesses are being destroyed and their families effectively housebound after dark.

My secret for good pastry such as shortcrust or pate sucre is that everything should be cold.

I saw a French pastry chef interviewed once who said (probably joking) that he can tell when he shakes hands with new applicants whether they will get the job.
If their hand is too warm, they are scrubbed.

From John Ferguson in the Oz.

Pell was convicted of abusing two choirboys in St Patrickโ€™s Cathedral, Melbourne, in 1996 and 1997, despite the fact there was insufficientย time or opportunity for the offending to occur

I do too. And I always leave my pastry to rest in the fridge (including biscuit pastry). It softens the gluten and makes for lighter and crisper pastry and bikkies.

A worrying paper confirming something I have been concerned about ever since ‘sudden adult death syndrome’ became linked to the COVID Vax – if vaccines can cause sudden death in adults, can they also cause SIDS in children?

https://doi.org/10.1016/j.toxrep.2021.06.020

Their conclusions

Infant deaths post-vaccination are often misclassified as SIDS or suffocation in bed.

Of all reported SIDS cases post-vaccination, 75 % occurred within 7 days (p < 0.00001).

While the findings in this paper are not proof of an association between infant vaccines and infant deaths, they are highly suggestive of a causal relationship.

Its high time we stopped reflexively believing ‘vaccines are good because they stop you getting polio’, without also asking ‘ yes, but if they cause autism, SIDs, etc etc etc’, is the tradeoff worth it?

Nurse friend of ours who was educated – rather expensively – down south, came and stayed with us in Darwin. She and her girlfriend were travelling around Oz, earning their living as nurses.

The next day they both went off to the Royal Darwin and were offered an immediate start. Day 2 one of the patients she had to work on was an indigenous lady with a hatchet embedded in her skull. It was quite interesting to the medical staff, as they had to work out how to get it out without killing the patient.

Needless to say, when she returned south and settled down “the mistreatment of the blacks up north” was not a subject you wanted to raise with her.

KD,
I have no problem with setting out bait bottles. Just make sure what you lace them with is not deadly. Have been in several workplaces where we had to bait the drink thief. I am sure I’m not the only one who has had to do that. Also the lunch and snack thief.

Cassie, rules regarding pastry, keep everything cold, true. But there are also exceptions, I love rule breakers. There is an Italian pastry recipe I use, shortcrust style and it is made with everything at room temp. Same with Olive Oil pastry. And the pastry for the great British Game Pie, hot water pastry made with various assorted animal fats to hand.

I love all pastries. Making and eating! What a great segue, eggs to pastry.
