On the last day of Pre Polling with the queue over an hour long, 3 “Tradies” turned up and walked along the line asking how long it was going to take to reach the booth – then they “decided” that as the fine was “only $20” they wouldn’t waste their time voting, just pay the fine and they laughingly walked away.
Then again on polling day, at another booth, the “Yes” campaigners were ‘chatting’ amongst themselves about the fine being just $20.
