The Evil History of Keir Starmer

Damon November 24, 2024 9:42 amIs there any point in the ABC persisting with the Narm/Melbourne nonsense? No-one knows or cares…
I remember a time when billionaires entertained themselves with fast cars, starlets and models and left the world alone.
Bret Weinstein – How the Deep State Maintains Control
Freedom?
Tom Robinson Band (1978, punk) wrote a song about that – “power in the darkness”.
The lyrics are somewhat darkly sarcastic and aiming for irony if I recall correctly. Could be considered very offensive today (it was punk, after all).
I could be wrong.
I thought I had a low opinion of today’s Liberal Party!

We corresponded for a short while during the Blair years. He and I were the only ones who commented out loud, so to speak, that the evil bint ***_, was lying when she regaled the blog with her tale of giving birth on the floor of a Brisbane pub to the encouragement of a bunch of Sailors.
She kept up the bullshit for a couple of years and then pretended to have carked it in a car crash.

It is easy for you to demand the coalition die on that hill but that will only give Bowen free reign with his stupid ideas.
Not sure where you got to that position.
It is not what I said at all or even intimated at.
In a response to a statement about not tolerating blackouts I said exactly what you have said in different words. If voters elect or re-elect a net-zero supporting party it is what they want…. exactly what you have quantified with your 62% statement.
I never mentioned the Coalition or any other party but I can tell you that I am a supporter of nuclear power although I didn’t qualify that in my statement… and I believe it would place the Coalition in a strong position if they released a realistic policy to implement it… AND STICK TO THAT POLICY WITHOUT QUIVERING…
I have a few suggestions of people who need to fake their own deaths. I suspect IT and me may have frequented the same barber on Rokeby Rd in Subiaco. Always a number of people you suspected were on various watch lists.

and I believe it would place the Coalition in a strong position if they released a realistic policy to implement it… AND STICK TO THAT POLICY WITHOUT QUIVERING…
Yes, and I’d have more time for the likes of Flatulent Farting Foolinsky if, when he prats on about ‘2035 targets’, also spoke up about nuclear power.
I also think that support for net zero emissions, if it ever had majority support and I have my doubts, is sinking. The Coalition did not lose in May 2022 because of climate. It lost because Morrison had no principles and the Liberals stood for nothing.
I should be out of qld unhealthy’s grasp on Australia Day.

Did someone mention Moon?
It was expected to be the biggest space trip of 2024, marking NASA’s first manned trip to the moon for over 40 years.
But Artemis II been delayed until September next year, while its eagerly anticipated follow-up, Artemis III, won’t take place until September 2026, the agency has revealed.
NASA cited safety concerns as the reason for the delays to its Artemis programme – the successor to the Apollo programme of the 1960s and 1970s.
Artemis II will send four astronauts on a trip around the moon and back home, while Artemis III will actually land humans on the lunar surface.

Putting to one side the fact there’s no doubt more to these riots and looting than pissed off public servants grumpy about their pay not going though properly – apparently the “glitch” meant an underpayment equivalent of half the pay of a junior public servant, and this would be rectified in the next pay cycle. What? PNG is a poor country. You can’t withhold a decent chunk of someone’s income and then just return it to them in the normal course of events.

Speaking of Australia Day and lamb, by George lamb has been cheap over the past several months! Beef and chicken – but especially beef – has become more costly, but lamb is a bargain. Colesworth now sells legs of lamb for $8/kg – you can get a full leg for $20. We’ve certainly been having a lot of roasts lately.
Even those fancy, dainty lamb cutlets (basically French racks of lamb sliced into individual chops) cost ~$33/kg, which is very reasonable for a premium cut of meat.
JC didn’t have anything to do with it. Congratulate his daughter, she did all the work!
Why has lamb been so cheap of late? I’m assuming it’s one of those weird Covid supply chain issues that has resulted in a bunch of Australian lamb not being able to make it to overseas markets for whatever reason.
Daughter in law, Doc.
Thanks Dover.

Steve Trickler, great video you posted on on the Alaskan Airlines/Boeing problem at 310pm. Clear, concise with no bullshit.
Apparently the cockpit door blew open after depressurisation despite the door having blow out panels for that very purpose. Several comments from (putative) 737 pilots that this is the first they have heard of this ‘feature’ as it doesn’t appear in any of the Boeing documentation.

Not a good look:
Hunter Biden sparked utter chaos in Congress on Wednesday and was accused of a ‘ridiculous PR stunt’ by making a shock appearance to face Republicans threatening to hold him in contempt.
The president’s troubled son, 53, staged the spectacular stunt and sat and listened as GOP Rep. Nancy Mace said he ‘had no b***s’ and ‘should be in jail’ for refusing to sit for a deposition behind closed doors.
Just a few minutes later he got up and walked out as Marjorie Taylor Greene started to question him over his business deals and the ongoing impeachment probe into his father Joe.
He was hit with a flurry of questions by reporters after he stormed out – including being asked ‘what kind’ of crack he smokes and why he put his father Joe on speakerphone over 20 times to speak with his business pals.
He was also asked whether he was on crack while he crashed the GOP hearing.
‘What kind of crack do you normally smoke Mr. Biden?’ screamed one reporter – which he ignored – as his attorney Abbe Lowell delivered a short statement slamming Republicans and maintaining that Hunter is willing to testify publicly.
‘What’s your favorite kind of crack?’ another reporter questioned.
Hunter caused a circus as cameras and reporters swarmed him for the very brief appearance amid the scandal over his shady foreign business deals.

Elections Are Now the Threat to Democracy
“When Trump won in 2016, that is when it all started. Democracy suddenly became evil “populism” for how dare the people try to vote career politicians out of power. They began their hate campaign against Trump because they could not allow an outsider to upset their feeding troff. I was handling many calls back to them because our computer projected a Trump victory, and they wanted to believe something was wrong. I tried to explain that he was legitimately elected, and it was a vote against those who never leave. Trump ran on draining the swamp and argued that term limits were necessary. He failed to realize that the swamp was an ocean that included both camps.
The fake dossier created by Hillary to slander Trump was handed to the FBI’s James Comey by the Republican godfather of the Neocons – John McCain. That proved the fake divide between Republicans and Democrats should get the Oscar for the best performance in a fictional setting.
We are looking at the likelihood of the most corrupt elections around the world in human history. This is not going to go well. I put the odds of a fair election at about 0% on a global scale. I would say the civil unrest projections globally post-2024 are the direct result. As I mentioned, war is a contagion. Well, so is civil unrest. There is way too much at stake for those in power to allow a fair election ANYWHERE.
In Canada, the government has been fully onboard with the World Economic Forum. Chrystia Freeland, Schwab’s star pupil, had a journalist arrested for trying to ask her a question. This is the arrogance of people rolling in power like a pig in mud and who by no means are willing to yield to the great unwashed who are clearly too stupid to even vote. As one reader from Canada emailed in:
This incident clearly shows how far our beloved country of Canada has fallen. This interaction/arrest happened when Chrystia Freeland, unfortunately our Deputy Prime Minister/Finance Minister (the one who smiled when she announced she was freezing bank accounts without due process) was asked about Iranian terrorists by a reporter from alternative media group which is absolutely despised by Trudeau.
We understand that the reporter was finally released without charges but the damage has been done.
When they created the Euro, Germany refused to allow the people to vote because they knew they would lose. Then there was BREXIT. Again, the great unwashed dared to go against what the ruling class was doing. Electing Trump was the icing on the cake.
These low-life people think they actually have the intelligence to decide what the government should be doing. No matter who, once power is tasted, it becomes addictive. The people are airheads besides being the Great Unwashed scum beneath their feet. It is just outrageous that the public should not have any pretended right to vote. Taking Trump off the ballot is a threat against Democracy in itself. They tell us Biden is far superior, and RFK was kicked off the Democratic ballot. So let the people decide. Oh! That’s right. They are too stupid to allow that. Voting has now become the greatest threat to Democracy – evil populism that cannot be tolerated. Voting is just dangerous to their version of Democracy where we have no right to vote on things like war, peace, taxes, or any regulation anyway.”

DNA Study Finds Ancient Egyptians Were European, Not African
That particular study is on mummies from 1400BC to 400AD and agreed, they were more likely to be European.
e.g. Cleopatra was part of the Ptolemic family (Roman?)
What of the Egyptians though going back to nearly 4000 BC?
The modern Egyptians, 1400BC onwards just took over all the works of the great Egyptians was my understanding.

To the contrary, Federation Day on 1 January would be an exact parallel to 4 July in the US.
The equivalent to 26 January would be the date of the first permanent settlement in what is now the US. That would be Jamestown, dating from 4 May 1607.
ABCcess’ daily “änd thats a good thing” hail mary pass.
Wind turbines are grrrreat for the environment as they act as artificial reefs…
(which is probably correct)
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-01-11/offshore-wind-turbines-foster-marine-life/103307248
Despite concerns from some about offshore wind farms, Dr Claire Szostek, a ecosystem services specialist from the Plymouth Marine Laboratory in the UK, said they can create a new type of habitat.
“It can actually attract animals and it can increase abundance and diversity,” she said.
When offshore wind projects create new habitats, it’s called an ‘artificial reef effect’.
“It’s a bit like when you have a shipwreck on a seabed, the structure of that shipwreck creates new habitat structure,” Dr Szostek said.
“It creates new habitats, and it provides shelter for creatures.”
But compare and contrast…
https://www.abc.net.au/news/science/2018-06-13/decommissioned-rigs-precious-marine-habitat-or-more-ocean-waste/9833084
For some people, a rig at the end of its life amounts to waste material, and shouldn’t be left in the ocean.
“If you are proposing to leave it there you’re effectively — according to the United Nations guidelines — dumping waste at sea,” senior Greenpeace campaigner Nathaniel Pelle said.
Greenpeace maintains the environment should be returned to its “original state” for any situation, if it’s the best environmental outcome for the ecosystem.
And protecting the biodiversity around a rig might not be more important than returning the ecosystem to its natural state, Mr Pelle said.
One gets the “änd thats a good thing” treatment, the other gets an ill informed mong to opine & whine for 1/2 the sharticle.

The thing about the ancient Egyptians’ genetic origins was pretty much established years ago when the Max Planck Institute campared DNA of mummified Egyptians to other populations. European DNA was considerably less than that from the Levant and Anatolia – makes sense considering Europe was a backwater when the Middle East had progressed to agriculture and townships.
There is a certain caveat to be aware of with regards to extrapolating too definitely to the whole population: Mummies from between 1,400 BC and AD 400 which are of sufficient quality to be used for the study would likely have been on the more expensive end of the spectrum I would think, and the study would therefore tell us more about the wealthier citizens and less about the lower classes. Mind you, I do not know that there will have been much intermingling of genetic material between Egypt and the Nubia – apart from the military the lower classes of nations did not usually come into contact with each other – they lived in the villages, tended the fields and flocks, and intermarried within their limited orbit. Marrying someone in the next village has a certain probability, two villages across significantly less, three villages across…very small. So for Nubian blood to make its way into Egypt to any significant level would take, I would think, a very long time.
Well, so it seems to me.
But certainly among the Ancient Eguptians the amount of black African blood was less than among modern Egyptians, and no one calls the modern Egyptians black.
Which is why the whole of Egypt was angered by Netflix’s ‘Cleopatra’ crockumentary and why the nation of Egypt sought to sue Netflix.
Have they read Ovid, Sophocles, Homer, the Five Dialogues of Plato, St Augustine, The Canterbury Tales, Utopia, Dante, any of the classic medieval to late medieval theological texts even in summary form, The Authorised Version of the Bible & the Book of Common Prayer, Hamlet, Don Quixote, Hobbes, Milton, War & Peace, the Brothers Karamazov, memorised a dozen or more classic English poems, have a working knowledge of Latin and Greek?
Yet they imagine themselves to be educated?
I agree that any alternative date will be the subject of protests, but let’s force them to expose themselves as the Australia-haters that they really are.
Jews are causing global warming says the Grauniad.
Emissions from Israel’s war in Gaza have ‘immense’ effect on climate catastrophe (10 Jan)
The headline I transcribed from the screenshot in the linked blogpost. The Guardian editors obviously thought it was a bit out there even for them and they’ve now changed it to something a little less obviously antisemitic.
There is that.
There was no England until Aethelstan conquered York in 927.
Sack it. Sack it now.

Crisis Magazine – By Sheryl Collmer – January 10, 2024
Excerpts from this tribute:
We should have multi days to celebrate to amplify the “destroy the joint” Marxism that is behind most of the sentiment.
If people hate every celebration, people might question what they really want.
Federation, Australia Day, May 9 (opening of Parliament), ANZAC Day, Armistice Day.
Making or keeping them as public holidays would make agitators very unpopular.
Make Christmas holidays and Easter a couple of days longer too.
Being played by the unions is a small price to pay to totally mess with the rabid communists.
…let’s force them to expose themselves as the Australia-haters that they really are.
Let’s cut off a leg to placate them. Result: you’ve still got another leg, cut it off too!
You give nothing to the left; nothing.
At last! Some people who will be paying less for electricity.
The same logic whereby poor people spend fewer dollars buying a car than rich people. They must be more canny customers than those rich dunderheads.
But Russia v. Ukraine gets a pass?
How does that work?
Have they ever before clamoured to have concrete piles dropped in the ocean before to create reefs?
Nope?
Then yes, a Hail Mary pass.
Anyone with Netflix don’t miss Last Stop Larrimah
I was actually proposing to cut off a leftard leg by cancelling a public holiday.
I would really prefer that there be only two annual public holidays, New Year’s Day/Federation Day and ANZAC Day, with extra days added to annual leave for the others. If you hate Christians, why should you receive paid holidays specifically for Christmas Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday. Take different days off, but no penalty rates for those who work on the religious holidays.
Republican? Why should you get penalty rates for King’s Birthday? Take another day off as standard leave. Free Marketeer? No penalty rates for you on Labor Day/May Day.
Give the pricks what they want, they won’t like it up them. (Thanks Dad’s Army)
Neither side in that war is Jewish?
Have they read Ovid, Sophocles, Homer, the Five Dialogues of Plato, St Augustine, The Canterbury Tales, Utopia, Dante, any of the classic medieval to late medieval theological texts even in summary form, The Authorised Version of the Bible & the Book of Common Prayer, Hamlet, Don Quixote, Hobbes, Milton, War & Peace, the Brothers Karamazov, memorised a dozen or more classic English poems, have a working knowledge of Latin and Greek?
Roger, my Classical Greek (& modern Greek non existent) is lousy. Does that make me uneducated? I can skate through the rest with a wing and a prayer – but mostly “gone to Gowings” with most of my early learning!
I took a Sino manufactured SUV for a test drive..’holy global emissions’..it even had LED mood lighting in it. 7 speed box and a air con. so cold ,to help fight our ‘angry summers’
The term is barbaros, Vicki.
😀
Pacifist? Why should you get penalty rates for ANZAC Day?
There are 130+ wars being fought at the moment, the greatest number since the early 1990s.
But Vicki, I did say a working knowledge, you’ll note, on account of my own Greek being a bit rusty. Say, enough to work out a basic translation of a para from one of the classics? Would probably be a good morning exercise for ageing brains, too!
Most people today are barbaroi, sadly.
I must be a barbarian since I think most of that book list is as boring as Florence the Boring Machine.
Much preferred Herodotus, Thucydides, Xenophon, Caesar, Livy and Gibbon, although only the English translations of the classics since I haven’t learned latin or greek.
These lefties are livid on Reddit.

LOL!
Part Two of Tony Thomas’ very good series on the Cronulla “riot” and its much more violent (but less reported in the MSM) aftermath at Quadrant On-Line.
We are where we are today in large part because of the weak government reaction to, and the p1ss poor media reporting on, those events.
I have read Pt 1. A very good analysis, although I don’t think he provided enough understanding of how the situation evolved from specific, deliberate provocation of ME youth. Example : going to Gunnamatta Park & p—ing in the picnic baskets of families on the weekend. It wasn’t just the beach culture they were targeting. ME youth would also insult young women in shorts with their kids on the main shopping street.
We have friends who have lived all their lives in Cronulla. When people became too scared to attend restaurants at night, we would drive there from the city to help the restaurant owners.
Or babara, in your case, V.
See what I mean…rusty.
They could be substituted.
The young woman in this Mail article makes an excellent point about Woolies not selling Australia Day merchandise.
The scabs celebrated Diwali throughout their stores last November.

The image that most have of Salvador Allende was formed because of the events of a single day: September 11th of 1973. The coup that outsed him and his consequent suicide made him an idol of the international left and widely admired by people from all over the political spectrum. The traditional arguments against Allende did little or no harm to his image. Leftists either don’t care or blame on “reactionary forces” facts like shortage of food caused by nationalization of coutless land properties(the agricultural production of Chile fell 25% during his presidency), or a record inflation, or the fact that the commercial debt increased amazing 14 times.
A recent book based on Allende’s thesis during his medical course, however, promisses to finally change the heroic image of a martyr. Turns out Allende was a hardcore racist and homophobe, and his methods of “cure” would make Josef Mengele proud. The book in question is called Salvador Allende, Anti-Semitism and Euthanasia, and was written by chilean historian Víctor Farías. Farías had access to Allende’s medical thesis, and we can read them in the book. I’ll post here the exact words of Allende, and then a short translation.
On Jews and Gypsies:
Basically he is saying that gypsies form criminal groups where all sorts of crimes are common, including murders(“very frequent”). The jews are accused of been liers and cheap.
He is basically saying that homossexuality is a disease, and must be treated. He is excited about a method of cure that consists on inserting pieces of testicule in the abdomen of the patient.
He actually put his nazi-esque ideas in practice when he became Minister of Health. He created a law that forced the state to sterilize people with mental disabilities and alcoholics. A third of the people sterilized died, due to terrible hygene conditions and brutal methods.
Everyone who wants an accurate vision of Salvador Allende should buy this book. Unfortunately, IIRC it is only avaiable in spanish. Portuguese speakers can also check out a story on Veja about this book
Dot – that thread is a perfect example of what I call “the kid who got an A once”.
These people on reddit were (in many cases still are) the same kids who averaged mostly B’s at school, but got an occasionally A and thought that made them incredibly smart. The same group of people who feel squeezing into the top 10% means they know everything.
Both sides have anti-Semitic elements?
Hoi polloi, barbaroi!
I read that the origin of the word was that ‘bar bar’ was the sound of non-Greek languages to the ancient Greeks.
Doesn’t that mean “bearded”? If so, only trans-“women” can be barbaros.
And men, of course.
My classical Greek is proficient, thanks to years of studying Guido Hatzsis and Neville Bartos.
There was no England until Aethelstan conquered York in 927.
So what? Nothing to do with my original post concerning Australia Day. Go back to sleep.
Err, no.
As alluded to in the original pair of juxtaposed links, far-left ‘vironmental activists (i.e. Victorian government) are trying to force Exxon and other Bass Strait operators to uproot every last pylon of decommissioned platforms from the sea floor.
The beard connection would be if it was from Latin (‘barba’).
Persactly. They have resorted to this excuse for the first time because they have run out of any honest excuses.
Good times.
Better times.
Imagine it.
A world entirely devoid of knotted hankies, cloth caps and whining shop stewards.

My bad, I studied some Latin, but no Greek.
Indeed, I had a lot of problems with more advanced mathematics, which used a lot of Greek letters as mathematical symbols.
Here’s what you do with a younger relative who disagrees with you on everything.
Spend their inheritance.
Only a short while before that, the entire population of what is now England voluntarily enslaved themselves to the Romans.
Imagine that. Poms being slaves for Italians. For centuries.
Lode.
As someone who developed lifelong migraines trying to keep track of offshore construction kit, I can attest that there are approximately 2,428,762 pieces of assorted scaffolding laying on the sea floor in Bass Strait.
It went out to the platforms.
It isn’t on the platforms.
And it didn’t come back.
You don’t need a black belt in chess to figure it out.
They are all historians.
There’s a place for history, of course, but historians haven’t shaped Western thought the way Plato, Augustine, the Bible or great literature has.
Pith the converse doesn’t hold true. Being au fait with those texts, Greek and Latin is no guarantee of not being a total prat, intellectually or otherwise.
Pity.
Just went to the irrigation shop for some poly fittings.
I was served by a “lass” who was 6’4″ tall with obvious bumps in the t-shirt at breast height, but with a voice about one octave below Barry White.
Anyways, he/she/xe knew what I wanted and went straight to the right bins and came back with a boxful of the correct goodies.
I’d happily be served by a bunch of Danny La Rues in Bunnings if they knew where stuff was.
I have a need; a need for Bede.
