The Rivers of Blood speech was in 1968. At the time no one even knew what Islam was. It was also about another time, which one conservative pundit described to John Anderson as a terrible speech that had nothing to do with the period. He claimed it also set back British conservatism by a decade. The pundit claimed that immigration in the 60s was working , whereas it doesn’t work now.

Penny Wrong: what happened on October 7 was bad, but what Israel is doing now is …
Give me a break. Israel handed Gaza to the Palestinians 18 years ago. Hamas staged a coup and evicted the former Palestinian Authority. They then turned Gaza into an armed camp which sent rockets into Israel.
Prior to that, the so-called Palis in the west bank had to be sealed off by a wall because they kept doing bombings in public places – like on buses or in restaurants.

They can probably express their ideas more clearly than you.

But not me; and Winston is right:

I still don’t know how Pinochet and “Rivers of Blood” (the bad conclusion Powell wanted to avoid) saves us.

As I understand it, Powell wanted to minimise the possibility of “Rivers of Blood” by stopping culturally incompatible immigration.

We didn’t do that, indeed we are expanding the problem. Step 1 has to be to stop culturally incompatible immigration. Step 2 has to be to reduce the numbers of culturally incompatible immigrants here, possibly by paying them to go away. Step 3 is to enforce assimilation by those who choose to remain. No special privileges, and equal application of the law.

Pauline Hanson v Faruqi defamation case going to be interesting.
2 Paras from the Oz article
“As part of building evidence for the case, Senator Faruqi’s representation Marque Lawyers tweeted an online survey when proceedings began. The survey, titled “How Does It Make You Feel?”, asked participants “to indicate your view” on the tweets from Senator Hanson.

The survey was viewed by 9430 people, and 776 filled it out. Nine of them had their Twitter accounts tendered as evidence”

Twitter surveys now become evidence ! WTF. Anybody who has seen Marque Lawyers on Twitter knows they are perfect fit for Faruqi.

If they can do a survey on Pauline then it would be like doing a survey on Faruqi amongst Sydney lawyer Tony Nikolic’s Twitter followers.

BTW re our dispute with energy provider over gigantuan electricity bill:

1. discovered that in the last quarter when a smart meter was installed we are on a “plan” (who knew?) that costs us mightily. Of course, the supplier had not given us any options. We are supposed to know these things.

2. It seems our oversize and antiquated roof air con is gulping down loads of energy. As I type this we have an aircon techo examining it to see if we can just replace the motor. Of course it was an independent sparky who explained this to us & suggested a remedy. He had some bad bad things to say about these unscrupulous energy companies.

Wasn’t the same chicanery behind the widely touted “97% of scientists” about Global Warming (as it was still quaintly known in those days)?

They sent out a survey to a vast hodge-podge legion of some 1200 or so scientists of whom only a fraction even responded. With a few more convenient parings they whittled it down to 77 out of 79 agreeing that the climate was heating and that human activity was chiefly to blame. There’s your 97%.

In fact out of 1200 they only got 77 who bothered to agree.

We call this 6%.

Murray was criticizing Powell and yet he was right overall about immigration.

He made the speech in 1968. We’re now in 2024 and Powell had no freaking idea what was going to occur 56 years later or the various things that would occur to kick off the current plight. Moreover, your criticism of Murray is simplistic and trivial at best. Rather than assess the value of the criticism, for you, it’s enough to say, Oh, he’s a right-liberal. And you’ve never provided a reasoned commentary on what you mean by liberal. It appears that being liberal to you means anything you disagree with.

That’s not Harry Hindsight. Moreover, the ‘Harry Hindsight’ stuff is a bit of a palm off, especially when actual conservatives are pointing out the imprudence of doing X or Y and being told when X or Y happens the liberal replies, “sorry, we couldn’t foresee the likely consequences of X or Y”.

Ok, whatever that means.

Harry Hindsight is mocking people who think they can accurately predict the future as though they were prediction muftis. Like Faulty 2.

Faulty 2/Turtlehead said there have been 65 murders and injuries since the 2001 by musilms.

There have been 65 murders and wounding’s in Britain since 2001 by Muslims.

Answer this, although every single one is tragic and evil, is this a river of blood to you… over 23 years? Is this the Thames filled with blood?

Much discussion of Enoch Powell’s famous “ Rivers of blood “ speech in 1968.
As I understand it, Powell was not predicting blood in the streets, although those in favour of huge immigration to western counties now present it as such.
Powell was a very erudite professor of classics – was at Sydney Uni and tutored Gough Whitlam before returning to the UK to enlist when WW11 started.
Powell was referring to a phenomenon where the River Tiber occasionally ran red (algal bloom?) and the ancient Romans took this as signifying approaching calamity.
Powell saw then current evidence as likewise signifying coming problems, as an Ancient Roman would have done on seeing the Tiber running blood red.
The classical reference Powell made was and is completely clear – many educated adults in 1968 would have understood it. In 1968 only those in public life determined to misrepresent his warning
misquoted Powell and this has become the accepted version.
Easy to forget today how widespread some education in the Classics was.
My father was very working class, went to a Catholic school – and like many of his schoolmates, could still write the Greek alphabet and decline Latin verbs 40 years later.
Latin was needed to study Law and Medicine until the 1960s, too, I believe.

Your post earlier about the inflated bill for breakfast at a Darwin cafe was on the money (the NT News):

A Darwin cafe has been accused of ripping off its customers after a receipt showing the eye-watering price of breakfast for two circulated online.

This week, a Reddit user revealed they had paid $77 for two egg and bacon rolls and two iced coffees at a “Darwin beachside cafe” on the weekend.

The receipt was attached to the post, with the total price shocking the online community.

“Darwin: where the meth is cheaper than the iced coffee,” commented one Reddit user in response to the post.

The $7 Sunday surcharge gave it away.

“And the audacity to add a Sunday surcharge,” commented one user.

The Rivers of Blood speech was in 1968. At the time no one even knew what Islam was.

Islam, blacks, Pakis etc; the point Enoch was making is preferential treatment to immigrants who do not share the host nations values and laws, in fact despise and oppose them, is a disaster. Boambee John (Mar 12, 2024 5:21 PM) puts forward some solutions which would have worked. Unfortunately we are beyond that now. Powell was very prescient, although its just common sense that if you let someone into your house who hates you, you are going to have trouble. Powell may have been thinking of a potential race war, which is still on the cards, BLM etc, but his point still holds for islam, even more so.

“The 1949 Armistice Agreements, which ended the 1948 Arab–Israeli War by delineating the Green Line as the legal boundary between Israel and the Arab countries, left the Kingdom of Egypt in control of a small swath of territory that it had captured and occupied in the former British Mandate for Palestine: the Gaza Strip.”

He claimed it also set back British conservatism by a decade. The pundit claimed that immigration in the 60s was working , whereas it doesn’t work now.

If no one knew what Islam was, how come Winston Churchill made several famous quotes about it. Here’s one:
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the faith: all know how to die but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”

IMMUNITY

“The Constitution doesn’t directly discuss presidential immunity from criminal or civil lawsuits or immunity for other government officials. Instead, this privilege of Presidential has developed over time through the Supreme Court’s interpretation of Article II, Section 2, Clause 3:

The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

The legal doctrine concerning Presidential Immunity dates back to its 1867 decision Mississippi v. Johnson, 171 U.S. (4 Wall.) 475 (1867), where the Supreme Court established that the President is largely beyond the reach of the judiciary by holding that it could not direct President Andrew Johnson in how he exercised his purely executive and political powers. The ONLY exception is an impeachment for a crime. The Court stated it had no jurisdiction . . . to enjoin the President in the performance of his official duties.”

Foxbody is correct – ‘rivers of blood’ was a classical reference.

Powell, for all his intellectual and rhetorical brilliance, had a blind spot in that he was more concerned with West Indian immigration than that from the sub-continent, possibly because he held the culture of the latter in quite high regard and could speak Urdu.

Nearly sixty years later, it’s clear that the West Indian migrants were much more able and willing to fit in with British culture than their sub-continental and Pakistani counterparts in particular, not least because many of them were devout Christians.

The idea though, that only the accumulation of 660,000 years of indigenous ‘continuous living automotive culture’ is appropriate for individuals partially descended from people who did not even possess shoes, let alone the wheel, must be close to the height of P.D. (Peak Dissonance).

The continuing efforts to create and enforce segregation to cover for what amounts to extortion – nothing more than theft on an almost immeasurable scale – stands in bollocks-naked contrast to every atom of halitosis propaganda launched against us. The last two words – ‘against us’ – are the nub of it all.

* I don’t know which regional dialect the word ‘Murri’ came from, but to use one word from one geographic area to describe the total inhabitants of a huge state (coloniser boundaries!), seems to be somewhat patronising and disrespectful, no?

Powell, for all his intellectual and rhetorical brilliance, had a blind spot in that he was more concerned with West Indian immigration than that from the sub-continent,

In fact, I called my landlord something much worse just recently. (Luckily she wasn’t wearing her hearing aid).

We have people in the streets celebrating the horrific deaths of Israelis (and foreign workers – I cannot comprehend the trauma of slow decapitation with a hoe), yet blokes who get paid squillions to molest each other in public are so fragile that a single word renders them liquid?

My grandfather’s generation who gave part of their youth or young adulthood, must be turning their whole bodies away from us in shame. Our shallow existence is worthy of a void in the history books.

Powell didn’t need to see what would occur in 2024, it was enough for him to predict major problems arising with mass immigration from culturally distinct countries. Murray is simply trying to quarantine contemporary criticisms of immigration from associations with Powell.

1. Powell was being selective with the countries he was grousing about. See Roger’s commentary earlier. He got even that part wrong.

2. How do you know what Murray was attempting? This mind reading caper is really something. Your very first criticism of Murray’s comments was that he’s a lib-right. When that didn’t work because I reminded you of his immigration comments, you’ve meandered off, and now it’s about quarantine or something.

Murray’s criticisms of Muslim immigration and related issues can’t be faulted from that side of the debate. He’s calling it as he sees it, even if he is a lib-right, as you referred to him.

I’ve provided explanations and clarifications in the past, they’re only controversial because of the implications they have for right-liberalism.

I disagree.

Like they mocked Powell, only to be mugged by reality later on.

Powell was talking about the present at that point in time. Mugged by reality has nothing to do with it, moreover, where is this bloody river?

You’re asking me if certain facts fit his metaphor?

No, as you well know, I’m asking you if the history of 65 evil deeds over 23 years fits into Turtlehead’s belief that the UK is nearing or has entered a civil war.

I think he was wrong in his assessment of West Indian migrants, yes, although we’re necessarily taking in general terms.

Culturally, the WIs were more “British” than the migrants from the sub-continent, be they Hindu or Muslim. Powell didn’t recognise that because of certain cultural – not racial – prejudices that he mistakenly held.

The real problem, however, was that all were British Commonwealth subjects entitled to migrate to Britain under the law at the time. The immigration law had not kept up with reality, just as international refugee law today, based as it is on the post-WWII context, is unfit for contemporary purposes.

Islam needs to go down the same road as Scientology. It was tolerated for decades and then something happened. IIRC Germany banned it, people started speaking out against it, and even Hollywood actors are abandoning it, with one in particular publicly declaring war on it. I haven’t seen references to Islamophobia lately. Perhaps that signifies a turning point. I hope so. A few European nations, while not explicitly stating they are targeting Muslims, recently have adopted policies that are aimed to reducing their numbers and I imagine have created stricter immigration measures to prevent more entering their countries.

The Channel 9/Muderis defamation case is not pleasant.
The mechanics of osseointegration is not pretty.

Muderis and his team have meticulous notes, digitally time stamped, showing that he delivered on what he said he would.
And he has a terrible bedside manner.

Every one of the former patients who have been called by team Muderis last week & this week are tragedies.
Amputees, many with other substantial injuries (burns, other broken bones), most with depression.
Some of the communications (emails, text, fb posts) amongst themselves have been outrageous.
And I feel sorry for them as their lives have gone off the rails.

It seems like Muderis pitched his work to people who would have had trouble doing the required re-hab based on their previous re-hab work.
At the same time, some of these patients are blaming Muderis for either their own terrible re-hab or poor after care from their local health providers.

Bottom line, it looks like Channel 9 preyed upon some very vulnerable people.
Another real question is who should be considered for osseointegration & that’s regulatory type situation.
Some people are not suited.

Rita Panahi

Never stand between a socialist and a big fat pile of someone else’s money.

And, when that pile of money is taxpayer funds then you can be sure that the most radical, hard left crusader will suddenly find a taste for the finer things in life.

Greens leader Adam Bandt might rail against capitalism but he sure loves private jets and luxury cars, as long as someone else is picking up the bill.

The global warming crusader who wants to get rid of fossil fuels including a ban on all new coal, oil and gas projects managed to rack up an annual expense bill for 2022 of more than $960,000.

As reported in the Herald Sun on Tuesday, that extravagant amount does not include Bandt’s $300,000-plus salary or the wages of his personal staff.

Bandt’s annual expenses bill of almost $1m included government COMCAR trips, taxis, a government provided private vehicle, domestic flights and even a couple of private jet charters.

You’d think the main transport favoured by a party that pushes the most extreme climate policies would be public transport, not private cars and jets, but I must’ve missed the myki card expense report.

It remains unclear why Bandt thought it appropriate to spend more than $15,000 of our hard earned on a private plane between Canberra and Brisbane to attend a Greens event when there are multiple airlines flying between those two destinations regularly.

Indeed, you can travel that route for as little as $240 with Virgin Australia, $273 with Jetstar and $340 with Qantas.

So, why should taxpayers be expected to stump up $15,000 for a neo-Marxist to attend the election campaign launch for the Greens.

A Greens spokesman defended Bandt’s spend-a-thon saying: “As the leader of the third-largest political party in Australia you would expect Mr Bandt would engage in extensive travel and unlike the Prime Minister and many ministers he doesn’t have access to government VIP flights … all Mr Bandt’s travel is within entitlements.”

You know what else was within entitlements?

Bronwyn Bishop’s $5000 helicopter flight was also “within entitlements” but that didn’t mean it passed the pub test.

And despite apologising and then covering the cost, Bishop was still forced to step down as speaker of the house.

Don’t expect such accountability from the Greens leader.

What a load of cobblers, Bruce. Kierkegaard is not dispositive evidence.

I have said multiple time times already that you are not wrong on the basic science. Nukes exists, nuke power plants exist, sure.

What you are dead wrong on is the economics and the politics. You lot continue to deny the reality of the economics of solar PV which have obsoleted nukes as a power source, for the vast majority of practical purposes. Some places have existing nuke infrastructure which it makes some sense to keep exploiting, but most of those have long since abandoned nukes for solar and wind.

If you watched Ted O’Brien get slaughtered on 7:30 tonight, you might understand how the politics are completely against what Dutton is trying to do. The entire party is flailing about, looking more and more foolish. He is prancing into a minefield.

It is amazingly stupid politics on all but one level: it is a distraction from any real electoral issues, to allow him to posture to gormless idiots like you that he is on your side against the world. Dutton doesn’t want to engage with any of the Carcetti-style bowls of shit sitting in front of him, so he sets loose this squirrel and gets his media mates to focus their cameras on it instead of figuring out how he is going to win back Teal seats or somehow win a satellite suburban Labor stronghold seat before 2040.

The Coalition’s nuclear energy plan will offer incentive packages for communities, including potential subsidised electricity prices for local industries, upgraded community infrastructure, and transition packages for workers to higher-paid jobs.

Um, isn’t that just a photocopy of the Renewable Energy Zone thing that Gez was complaining about?

They should call it the NuP for short. Or the Split-Atom Energy Nuke Zone: Split-ENZ.

What a balls up of a policy from start to finish.

Renewables have to have storage as they are only dispatchable for 30% of the time and that is an average of not a stat for every unit and that is regionally weather dependant.
The battery component to create a grid that could be 85% renewable is uncosted in the ISP except for pumped hydro in Snowy 2.0.
Battery storage and an endless transmission build is a cost that Bowen and AEMO cannot admit to as it destroys the cheap claim.
Solar, wind and batteries degrade at an increasing rate as the asset ages.
Efficiency falls off, unlike base load hydrocarbons or nuclear.
You can’t pop an economic advantage to solar without costing the structural necessities that are a new and ongoing spend unlike nuclear positioned on existing coal sites and using the existing grid.
Every connection from a renewable project needs a 100 million spent to convert the DC to AC and hook it into a compatible transmission line.
You could not get finance from a bank for such a business model and that’s the reason eye watering subsidies and guaranteed returns have to be provided by government otherwise it’s unviable.
The public fund nearly all of the infrastructure for corporates to exploit. That’s why Twiggy is so very very keen.

Heffer’s four volume history of Great Britain, from the making of the Victorian Age, to World War Two – “High Minds,” “The Age of Decadence”, “Staring At God” and “Sing As We Go” are interesting and educational reading. Highly recommended.

The big loads – i.e. the stuff you see on those ‘Heavy lift truckers’ type shows, happen in the dead of night.
One of the minor benefits of pub life is you’re about when everybody else is asleep.

One of the major obstacles for big loads is which towns will they even fit through? And where can they cross rivers?

Big loads usually go past at or just after closing time. Often you can tell they’re coming, as in the middle of the afternoon witches hats are placed all along the street, to stop anybody parallel parking.
This is because if the road is blocked, a big load cannot get along the street.

This means a really wide load is coming through early in the morning.

Sometimes they’re so large they have to follow a special route, i.e. they don’t stick to their side of the road, but will cross & go up the wrong side of the street.

This brings them past the front of the pub so close you can touch them.

It’s a pleasant change to the groundhog day routine of pub life, & a real “gee whiz” moment just to see the heavy lift truck & even more the load.

These are the sort of special moments that make pub life unique.

Fatboy

The only thing you’ve argued is that intermittent sources such as propellers on sticks are plastic panels offers cheaper energy than nuclear.

While ignoring the eventual introduction of modular factory made reactors which will produce very cheap energy, let’s say that won’t happen.

The fact is that people will accept higher cost energy as long as we know that when you turn on a switch the light will go on and we don;’t have to worry if it wasn’t a sunny or windy day. Also, the entire planet would be littered with that crap. Now STFU and get back in the basement as lockdown rules still apply to you.

BREAKING NEWS: Andrew Tate and Tristian Tate WERE JUST ARRESTED AGAIN

This arrest is much more sinister and disturbing though than the last one. The details of what just happened may make you 1776 levels of angry.

This was not the doing of some random officials in a small country. Disgustingly, one of the most powerful governments in the world is actually behind it. UK authorities reached their authoritarian arm over 1000 miles away and commanded their arrests in Romania.

Surely they must have just done something really bad to deserve an arrest warrant from the United Kingdom, right? NOPE! They were ripped from their home by men with guns over BS allegations from an entire f*cking decade ago.

The charges are related to allegations of “sexual aggression” (whatever tf that means) in a U.K. case dating back to 2012 through 2015. Not recent. Not substantiated. On the contrary, the Tate brothers have shown overwhelming evidence the accusations against them are false. Yet here we are with them having to spend even more time behind bars, after already being held unjustly for months by Romanian authorities who couldn’t even pinpoint legitimate charges against them despite trying very hard.

Make no mistake… this is not justice or even the pursuit of it. This is further punishment by the global elites for daring to challenge them. Soon freedom will be dead across the globe if the evil people behind these horrendous misuses of the legal system are not stopped!

A really big heavy load went past the pub a couple of nights ago, just after closing time.

It had to come down the wrong side of the street it was so wide. The advance party had not cleared the street & I was parked in front of the pub.

The really big wide high load came creeping up the street, like a gigantic Tiger Tank (a type of panzer). It went so close to my ute I thought it was going to strike the rear & do lotsa damage – to the ute.

Phew, it missed, thank God truckies know what they’re doing. The truckie gave a look that said “Mate, there was at least a whole inch of clearance, you didn’t have to worry” before getting back to watching the road.

Last man

The last man is a term used by the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche in Thus Spoke Zarathustra to describe the antithesis of his theorized superior being, the Übermensch, whose imminent appearance is heralded by Zarathustra. The last man is the archetypal passive nihilist. He is tired of life, takes no risks, and seeks only comfort and security.

He studied energy and environmental policy at the University of Westminster and the Science Policy Research Unit at Sussex University, and is currently an honorary research fellow at Exeter University.

At Chatham House he specializes in global energy security and European electricity policy. He has worked as an independent consultant for 15 years with environmental groups, academics and public bodies in Europe and Asia. He has also worked as a freelance journalist. In 1992 he co-authored the World Nuclear Industry Status Report, a now annual independent review of the nuclear sector.

You dishonest, fat retard, Fatboy. That’s no “industry report”. It’s Wiki page spells out exactly what it’s all about and who are the people behind that dishonest bullshit.

World Nuclear Industry Status Report

The World Nuclear Industry Status Report is a yearly report on the nuclear power industry. It is produced by Mycle Schneider, an anti-nuclear activist and a founding member of WISE-Paris, which he directed from 1983 to 2003.[1][2]

Who is WISE -Paris.

The World Information Service on Energy (WISE) is an anti-nuclear group founded in 1978 to be an information and networking center for citizens and organizations concerned about nuclear power, radioactive waste, radiation and sustainable energy issues. The organization advocates the implementation of safe, sustainable solutions such as energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Since 2001, the WISE has been affiliated with the Nuclear Information and Resource Service (NIRS).[1]

It’s times like this when I think Turtlehead’s frequent comments about executions are warranted.
You tried to put one over us by referring to this astroturf operation as a report from the industry itself. You dishonest, donut munching turd Fatboy.

Not so much nutter message boards, I was more relying on the “comprehensive study by domain experts at one of the world’s premier investment advisor firms“.

Lazards’ entire analysis is based on a single US nuclear generation project, the disastrous Vogtle Nuclear Power Plant:

Given the limited public and/or observable data set available for new-build geothermal, coal and nuclear projects, and the emerging range of new nuclear generation strategies, the LCOE presented herein represents Lazard’s LCOE v15.0 results adjusted for inflation and, for nuclear, are based on then-estimated costs of the Vogtle Plant and are U.S.-focused.

Votgle 3 and 4 were ocean-going design and construction cockups that put Westinghouse into Chapter 11 protection. The costs to complete units 3 and 4 are now approaching US$40 billion for 2200MWe capacity – approaching twice the cost of the UAE Barakah project (mentioned above) for 5500MWe.

So, a single unrepresentative data – from the same scare school as ‘all nuclear power stations spew radiation like Chernobyl’.

Leaving that aside, the Lazard LCOE study treats renewables on the same basis as dispatchable nuclear, coal and gas. No battery backup needed, 25% to 30% average availability is lined up with 90%+.

Realising that that is obvious bullshit, Lazard also includes an estimate of the additional costs of providing ‘firming’ – a term that usually implies that renewables become dispatchable and directly comparable with coal, gas, nuclear etc. The study assumes gas backup for some Power Authorities – and heroic assumptions for clean green California:

For the PV + Storage cases in CAISO and PJM, assumed Storage configuration is 50% of PV MW and 4 hour duration.

Under these ‘firmed’ conditions, the unsubsidized LCOE of the ‘too cheap to meter’ utility scale PV is US$117/MWh to US$142/MWh – which seems to compare very favourably with naughty nuclear at around US$180/MWh.

Except, again, the storage costed into the LCOE is for 4 hours at 50% of whatever Solar capacity is assumed. So, the firming component of the LCOE is underdone by about 200% – and tough shit trying to charge your Tesla after about 8:30 at night.

It’s dishonest bullshit lapped up greedily by Solar Spruikers like Energy Sage – and repeated by our very own politicians and their winged monkeys.

And which duly makes its way into the lofty, official-sounding (but actually a product of Mycle Schneider, an anti-nuclear activist who has been adviser to Green members of the European Parliament on energy issues for more than twenty years.)The World Nuclear Industry Status Report 2023:

Aside from natural gas peaking plants at discount rates of less than 5.4 percent, Lazard’s estimates indicate that nuclear is always the most expensive resource on an LCOE basis.

Which is, of course, in itself, a true statement.

So, safe to say that domain experts at one of the world’s premier investment advisor firms have a significant commercial linkage to renewables.

This is what I expected to see during the initial covid lockdown, that medical professionals would look at a whole plethora of medications to see if they could work against covid while we waited for a vaccine.

What we got was almost a ban on this practice of medical experimentation and even medications we knew worked on almost any flu were strongly discouraged. I will never forgive ScoMo or Gladys for what was done to us, they practically told us everything we knew was wrong and only their CMOs were right yet they never showed their work.
I was testing out my local GP over the Ivermectin issue and said to him that I was going to Namibia for a holiday. Could I get prophylactic Ivermectin for River Blindness?
