Pfizer CEO says life should be ‘back to normal’ within a year but refuses to rule out lifelong re-vaccinations as his COVID booster is approved for the elderly and high-risk
Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said Sunday that he thinks the U.S. will return to normal within a year
His company’s COVID-19 booster shot was approved last week by the CDC for elderly and at-risk individuals
Bourla added that the most likely outcome is people will need to continue to get coronavirus booster vaccines annually
Experts say booster shots could make Pfizer and BioNTech $26B in global sales
Pfizer’s stock price has risen from $30.99 pre-pandemic to $43.94 today
‘I don’t think that this means that variants will not be continuing coming,’ Bourla countered. ‘And I don’t think that this means that we should be able to live our lives without having vaccinations, basically. But that’s – again, remains to be seen.’
He said that the most likely outcome is that people will need to continue to get coronavirus booster vaccines annually, similar to how people get the flu shot each year to protect against the most likely variant of the influenza virus that year.
‘The most likely scenario for me, it is that, because the virus is spread all over the world, that we will continue seeing new variants that are coming out,’ he said. ‘And, also, we will have vaccines that – they will last at least a year.’
‘And I think the most likely scenario – it is annual re-vaccinations. But we don’t know, really. We need to wait and see the data,’ the pharmaceutical company chief added.
We need to wait and see the data,’

IMO all this foot stomping about opening borders for tourism is the usual players stung from the collapse of the population ponzi suddenly caring about the B&B operators and Whitsunday Cafes. No tourist is going to travel 15-20 hours by air sometimes more if connections are involved to be quarantined for 2 weeks then repeat that process every time they cross an internal border. That’s without even considering the sword of domiciles that hangs of impromptu lockdowns if they did stay in 1 state. Na, I’m smelling University Campuses pushing this one just in time for the 2022 year.

Very good.
Corporate media and government have completely merged, ideologically, class-wise, but now also financially.
The money that they receive from ‘subscriptions’ is pocket change compared to the money flowing into the bank accounts via money laundering tax dollars, and pay-per-word cash flowing to them via ‘advertising’.

Hearing from the leader of a church in the USA and how they are dealing with mandates on when and how they are allowed to hold worship services.
It highlights the stark difference between the police of Australia and the police of the USA where the majority are people-serving and freedom-loving officers of the law, with the exception being bad actors.
In Australia, the majority of police are simply enforces of the executive branch of government with the exception being people-serving and freedom-loving officers of the law.
This is a harsh characterisation, however I’ve simply had too many off-the-record conversations now with great cops – serving and retired – to see it any other way. The great cops with a strong understanding of deontological ethics are in the minority.
The old “rivers of gold” used to flow from ordinary people – For Sale, Births, Deaths and Engagements, Positions Vacant.
All gone.
That gold has to come from somewhere – it’s still from ordinary people, but government clips the ticket and hands it on, strings attached.
The comfortable assumption that they can lock you up without trial and tell you they’ll only release you if ingest a questionable product from a company. I cannot believe people are taking this total and complete top-down political revolution laying down.
Also the forked tongue of Morrison running around saying this isn’t ‘mandatory’, they can’t make it ‘mandatory’, while his stooge in NSW makes it mandatory.

Greg Barns SC is the Spokesman for the Australian Lawyers Alliance and author of Rise of the Right: The War on Australia’s Liberal Values (2019).
Admitted to the Victorian Bar in 1986, Greg has been very vocal against human rights abuses and has called for Australia to adopt a Bill of Rights to protect both its citizens and journalists who are tasked with scrutinising governments. He continues to practise as a barrister, lecture in law at RMIT and write for various publications.
In this interview we discussed the erosion of human rights by powerful executive governments in their desperation to respond to Covid-19. Importantly, Greg stresses that the decline in human rights we are witnessing in Australia started long before and pandemic.

Italy gave the world Mussolini.
And gave Australia Barilaro.
About that promise of free dom (h/t Leak Jnr) at 80% double jabbed.
Singapore 82% 12+ double jabbed reintroduces Covid restrictions.
Never ending lockdowns and restrictions. 1984 stuff. It’s all there, they just don’t quite have the reach to exercise the necessary total control.
I don’t endorse that type of language, however, given the context, I found that rant extremely satisfying. Quite refreshing really and in direct contrast to the namby-pamby political correctness euphemism for lying.
Most uni courses are on line these days. No need to fly jumbo jets of students into Australia to attend live classes.
Unless of course there is another agenda to be satisfied. Like the visa rorts or accommodation industry needing bodies.
There was a story in the ABC online about some 40 people mostly new arrivals who died at home in Sydney’s western suburbs from Covid. Although I take their stats as exaggerated as normal there will be at least a grain of truth there somewhere. If indeed this number people died at home, one can’t help but question that if they had been given a sheep dose pack with vitamin D etc as the government in UP in India is doing, that at least 85% of these deaths could have been prevented.
I develop heightened immune response to a range of drugs and have been close to death in ICU earlier this year. I am petrified of the jab but if I get Covid I won’t be able even to take panadol due to response. I am left hanging on a limb as there is no access to a drug (horse pill) that I could take. Now I am to be treated as an outcast in the community I have contributed to because I have not been jabbed. I do not pose any threat to anyone else.
Going to be fun when the inevitable happens and a large number of them test positive for heinous bat crud. Then start hotspots all over Sydney. I wonder what Gladys and the unis would do then?

All evening very fashionable movers and shakers arriving, showing their pass and me smiling and letting them up. Dozens and dozens of them, smiling, polite good looking couples.
At the end of the night the guy running it called me up to pay me off. Went up flights of stairs into this warehouse converted into a huge residential, luxury open plan mega apartment.
They were all stark, bollocks naked.
I went back down the stairs after he paid and thanked me, in a slightly confused state.
Did I just see that? Did I just shake hands with a naked guy? What? What the?

And then the vile cloth eared bint says “and then you’ll be fully protected”

Decide after the fact what people were really doing. They still do this in argument now, when you make a statement and they ignore what you clearly meant, select the one of the billions of notional premises that are verbally consistent with your words but most offensive, and accuse you of that.
“I don’t like going to national parks much.”
“So, you think people who go to national parks are stupid!”
They could have assumed my statement related to distance from the parks, not personally being an outdoors person, being time-poor due to work, a preference for beaches, or even spending as much time as I can at an animal shelter. But they will go with the assumption I had people who go to national parks.
Then there is the tendency to assume that people in other times were lying to us – even though they had no idea who we would be.
Like the Stolen Generation where our ancestors kept no record of removing kids merely because they were Aboriginal. Now, if they really thought it was the right thing to do why would they be hiding it? They would be proud of it. They would in fact expected succeeding generations to inherit and carry the same reasoning forward. No need to hide it. Instead we find no record of any such policy. We read of policies of removing kids from conditions of neglect or violence. Missions. Vocational training of young women for domestic employment – just like white peeps.
People might disagree as to the virtue of encouraging Aborigines to blend in with with mainstream Australian society, or of offering them food and blankets so they did not have to hunt, or removing a half-caste from a marginal existence on the periphery of a tribe instead of leaving them to be abused as not pure-blood, but it must surely be seen not to be acts of malice but offering the best that mainstream society saw itself as having to offer.
And I really did not appreciate hearing my grandparents being accused of being complicit in ‘genocide’, a secret that they presumably withheld from me over the years I knew them.
Anyway, same thing with characterising the American Revolution as being about maintaining slavery. The colonials had a lot on their minds. They didn’t spend all their time talking, thinking, worrying about it. The founding fathers did make sure that if they could not pick a fight with England and their own slave owners at the same time they would make sure there would be no obstacle to freeing the slaves when they got around to it – which they did less than a century later. Not bad for dealing with an institution harking back to prehistory. The men fighting to free the slaves were just as dead as the ones who died to free America from Britain.
And what to make of the Africans who were still enslaving Africans? I will wager no progressive ‘thinker’ has bothered to address that one.

The sad fact is scomo has a 1 seat majority and he has at least a dozen shitheads in the party who are either wearing possum skins or are to the left of the greens on global warming. That is it, but also it has been a mistake, a huge mistake over the last 50 years for conservatives to box themselves into only looking at things from an economic and money perspective. A bad hangover from the terrible decisions in by the Buckley faction in the cold war to focus exclusively on the economic fight against communism and completely ignore the cultural / class fight. Dismissing as nonsense 100 years of carefully studied class / power observations and arguments from the communists that had unlocked them so much success politically.
Social class and solidarity matters in politics and power, so yes there’s money flowing into these companies but that’s only half the story. The other half is huge chunks of the professional middle class – particularly corporate – are total weirdos man.

Time to move to coal-to-liquid.
Hartcher conveniently ignores the key factor for the change which the government stated quite clearly – the strategic environment has changed since the diesel subs were planned for. With their greater range and endurance our future nuclear subs can be more easily deployed to the South China Sea & the Taiwan Strait in cooperation with our allies. Diesel subs would not have been able to operate as effectively in that environment.

Norway last night all Covid restrictions lifted
Norway lifts COVID-19 restrictions after 561 days
No nation has ever got close to 90%. A quick scan suggests Portugal at 84% is highest. So that won’t happen.
And yes it is a bluff. They have zero legal / constitutional right to impose these arbitrary and discriminatory restrictions. [A vaccinated person can spread the disease just as easily as a vaccinated – no further argument required]
Rorschach is right.
Gladys says at 90% of the over 16’s, it’s all open, knowing that exactly zero countries globally have gotten to that level.
That is so so sad to see.

Still, his task is not exactly herculean. Not only is America weak in the knees, so are Xi’s more immediate neighbors. Soon enough the median age in Japan will be 80, and South Korea has soundly fallen to androgynous boy bands.
Perhaps the only people in the region who might be able to stand up to China are the Australians. Though previously regarded as happy-go-lucky beer-drinking goofballs, this year the Aussies have truly shined as a particularly brutal bunch of sadists, beating and shooting and stomping their own people—including women and children—for violating lockdowns and mask requirements.
Thanks to Covid, the Australians may very well have bred a generation of sociopathic, conscienceless cops and soldiers, who might just be up to the challenge of taking on the Chinese reds.
Irony of ironies: Xi undone by the very disease he gave the West. Curses!
So Gladys has said NSW re-opens 1 December (assuming 90% vaccination).
Has she finally twigged that people were getting well and truly angry about these lockdowns, and she is setting up an escape clause so she can pretend we and her have been cooperating?
It was annoying enough when politicians just thought they owned the whole economy (and they would decide how, where and when we could join in), but now they have got into their heads the idea that they also own society and it is up to them to run our freedoms and interactions.
The individual priests, ministers and pastors will likely want to give the rules the rude finger.

Only if the Chinese reds are grannies and girls.
What she is counting on is that people who have taken the vaccine will see themselves as invested in it, and taking her side against those reckless troglodytes.
So the individual priests, ministers and pastors give in to the Karens.
Gladys and Barilaro have been playing classic “good cop, bad cop”.
They are so dumb they think we don’t notice.
Some will, Gab. Depends on how many “Karens” they have in their flocks.
Others will tell them to pull their heads in.
Never underestimate the officiousness of certain sheep. Pedro the Loafer knows this. 🙂

Yep, tend to go all wobbly when outnumbered or face with construction workers.
Saw sTan Grant on TV on the weekend, my god can he get any darker?
He’s due to release his latest coffee table offering .. 50 Shades of (S)tan .. LOL!
The Claytons Science is strong in this one:
Berejiklian: We don’t envisage a state-wide lockdown ‘ever again’
Actually we have a fair idea of what’s around the corner. The UK experience tells us that high levels of vaccination does not prevent Covid circulating in the community.
1945 – American military tips millions of dollars of equipment into the sea off Luganville, New Hebrides because the poor locals couldn’t afford to buy it from them.
If the Americans hadn’t dumped all that engineering and transport machinery. The Pacific could have been a much different and better place. Plus their manufacturers would have got to sell spare parts for another 20 years.
How long before we see riots/pogroms against the “scum”…aka the un-vaccinated?
NEVER! .. the sheeple will continue to bleat across social media channels and leave the physical victimization to plod …..

How do you keep the mould out of a place like that JC?
Look its really, really simple.
Basic human biology says vaccines have a much poorer “take” in people as they age.
By the time you hit 70+ its nearly a 50/50 chance a vaccine will trigger the reaction and protection its meant to.
So in effect 50% of the elderly have no protection even after 2 shots of vax.
For a government to be actually doing what it claims they would be carrying out antibody tests 2-3 weeks after a vax shot on an elderly person and revaccinating until it is effective.
So the stats about “vaccination prevents hospitalizations” is, at best 50% true in the over 70 cohort.
So all this lung lurgy lockdown is to protect 1/2 of the over 70 age group.

Judging by all the milquetoast bishops around the world. they take notice of 1 Karen over 1000 faithful.
Bern, you pay someone to look after that shit.
But they have to exercise “extreme caution”. What does that even mean?
This whole shit show is based on the scientifically baseless idea of a-symptomatic transmission. You don’t have enough viral load to be an effective transmitter if you’re a-symptomatic, and by the time you do, you’re not a-symptomatic anymore, you’re crook and you know it.
Our own Archbishop in Melbourne closed our churches one week before it was ”mandated” by Andrews.
Our Archbishop still hasn’t twigged that mandates are not law. Or just doesn’t care enough about the souls in his official care to fight. But then I think he prefers the easy road, given his actions.
Why? Did she envisage it the first time?
Like an alcoholic waking up in their own piss unable to remember what happened but filled with shame, vowing off the grog for good.
A few hours later they a swig not to get drunk but just to help calm their nerves. That helped so perhaps another mouthful to calm them further. Soon enough it is all spinning rooms and black spots and anger.
Neurotic cop and nutty cop more like.
I haven’t forgiven Barilaro for his empty headed comment about vaccine brands.
New OT to open at 6pm. Vaxxed and unvaxxed most welcome.

Or the 90% are sick and dying from the “jabs” and the 10% are dodging the “foreign soldiers & police” patrolling the streets.

Catholics should debate issues, not debase each other, cardinal(Pell) says
By Catholic News Service -September 27, 2021
I’m afraid a CHO’s health order is a lawful directive unless & until the High Court says otherwise.
(Don’t shoot the messenger!)
Along that line, I would expect more HC challenges to the WA & QLD border closures once the magic 80% figure is reached.
The argument will be that the closures are no longer proportionate to the public health threat and the collateral damage to lives and businesses is unreasonable.
Quite so ‘bern.
Last week Andrews was sooking that “I wish I could send this back to NSW, but I can’t”.
Funny, in all of last year I don’t remember him once saying, “I wish I could send this back to Chai-nah, but I can’t”.
AFR had a story from the UK over the weekend. Has been at 80% for ages. Covid is endemic. Everybody has had it – reckon it is like the worst flu you have ever had (what I’ve heard). Life goes on.
Is that an invitation to trash this one?
Our own Archbishop in Melbourne closed our churches one week before it was ”mandated” by Andrews.
I knew there was something fundamentally wrong with his outlook when he stated that he believed both Cardinal Pell & his accuser.
(Do they no longer teach the law of non-contradiction in Catholic seminaries?)
I hate to say it, but the catholic church has been a branch of the labor party for quite some time, the intravenous drip of cash needs to go.
The various state public health emergency Acts are all available online.
Recommended reading.
Victoria’s is the worst, which will be no surprise.
Covid is endemic. Everybody has had it
I know about a dozen people who’ve had it.
All overseas.
The one who got it the worst was a tech nerd who was crook for a week at home, ie no hospital.
The theme was common.
The ones who were healthy all had a few rough days but that was it.
The fat ones or the ones with an unhealthy lifestyle all had a rough week or so.
Vaccination status varied.
“I knew there was something fundamentally wrong with his outlook when he stated that he believed both Cardinal Pell & his accuser.”
I also thought that was an odd thing to say. There was only was person telling the truth and that was Cardinal George Pell.
Spot on.
Most flu/corona viruses spread via contaminated droplets from sneezes, coughs or runny noses. Yes – there may be some aerosol borne spreading from just breathing … but not over long (>2M or so) distances. If you have it and are asymptomatic, chances are you are not spreading the rona.
This is what people believe. In fact, federal legislation overrides state laws where the state law contravenes Federal Laws, such as Privacy, WHS and the Constitution. VIC only has one ”emergency act” that pertains to ”frontline healthcare workers” and they are fighting that already.
Hey ‘dillo, anyone you know?

I notice that the police who usher onlookers away from “incidents” are really trying to prevent video footage being taken of the violence.
Um, guys – it’s not working.
The words here are ”fence sitting”. Pontius Pilate was good at that.
Yah … that is coming! You can only comment on social media if you are double plus vaxxed!
Each of the mainstream churches has been “infiltrated” by the long marchers, even the Catholics.
The Uniting Church was the most feeble in putting up any resistance, probably because the Presbyterians were the only ones who would have done so and they mostly stayed out of the union in 1977.
The Sydney Anglicans are probably the only exception although there is some confused thinking there as well as exhibited by their bishop’s remarks on refugees recently.
Given that a social credit system can be applied to institutions as well as individuals, these churches are soon going to find themselves at crossroads – do they toe the government line and continue to receive subsidies for their schools, hospitals & social welfare departments or do they resist and see that funding withdrawn?
Not anymore.
..
There’s an easy solution to this I have been actively advocating for some time now: Carousel.

Bern, I love him along with his stuff with Robert Barnes.
Roger, I’ve always thought that the ordination of women is the death knell. The moment that happens in Sydney, it’s all over.
The militant chicks have been hammering away for over forty years, with a few concessions here and there. Never satisfied. And boy, have I had some doozies of arguments with them! It always ends up for them in secular terms of da equalidy and fairness. Oh, and St Paul being out of touch.
Probably with his feminine side.
That could certainly be tested and the state-level legislation has proven itself to be unstable in every instance, as has been demonstrated in the various law reviews. But the knot that would need to be unravelled in the process is that the constitutional division of powers grants legislative power in the area of public health chiefly to the states.
Good luck!
Every Opposition has been right behind this stuff.
Yes, when that happens both the Bible and tradition (even Protestants have tradition!) have been jettisoned and the faithful become exiles, whether within or without the church structure.
(Although hope abides…the Presbyterians in Australia repealed the ordination of women. More recently one of the main Lutheran Churches in the Baltics – Latvia? – did so too.)
About 25 extended family and friends in UK/Europe have been Rona victims. Several fully vaccinated; mostly mild/asymptomatic; one crook as a dog for a week + couple of weeks recovering. Two very elderly and very comorbid succumbed (one with, rather than from) during the UK first wave.
Life certainly goes on.
By the way, are people going to automatically be reduced to unvaxxed status when their booster shot is due?
In six months are we going to be hurled back into lockdown hell of fewer people get the booster than the original, very much coerced, vaccination.
Is Gladys ‘envisioning’ anything there? Or is she hoping things will have begun to return to normal and people will stop talking about boosters and stuff?
The teaching that St Paul sets forth is so much a part of the warp and weft of Holy Scripture, going back to Genesis 2 & 3, that you might as well say the Bible is out of touch. In fact, what you’re then saying is that you’ve placed yourself outside of scrupture’s authority. That’s why so much other nonsense then follows the ordination of women.
This is the problem. People do not actually know their rights. Privacy rules. No one and I mean no one, apart from your doctor or hospital staff who need sensitive and personal information in order to be able to give you actual health care, has the right to ask you your HIV status, your STD status or your vaccination status. This is enshrined in law. They will put pressure on you, which is actually coercion, and there ARE laws are against that. Don’t be intimidated, know your rights.
There are over 800 teachers in NSW and 700 in Vic currently who are pushing back against mandatory vaccination ”orders” or policies.
“We’ve snatched the right to trial and the right to walk out your front door whenever you like off you and we’re never giving it back“.
Roger
The argument will be that the closures are no longer proportionate to the public health threat and the collateral damage to lives and businesses is unreasonable.
Apart from the government actions, what actually has been the “public health threat”.
I have seen no pandemic – just a heap of old people dying last year like they always do from the flu. But no more than usual & less than some recent years.
Restricting people’s movement because of a virus is quarantine.
It’s not a state health department’s area at all.
It’s not anywhere near being in it’s remit.
It is unconstitutional for a state government to make laws regarding quarantining.
It is unconstitutional in many ways.
So a state health department making decrees that affect healthy people’s movement is unconstitutional.
It is morally and ethically bankrupt and criminal.
All quarantine laws are meant to be, according to section 51 of the constitution, made in federal parliament.
Sect 109 means that where states decrees laws, or whatever else you want to call them, is inconsistent with a law of the Commonwealth, the latter shall prevail, and the former shall, to the extent of the inconsistency, be invalid.
This of course means diddly squat to the criminals that have wiped their arses on it.
Practically, Quarantine is a specific practice and area of expertise a health bureaucrat knows nothing about, hence the complete lunacy in decrees.
When you leave the constitution because you believe you know better, it all turns to shit.
Unaccountable shit.
At this moment Gladys is worse than Andrews on this stuff.
At least he doesn’t pretend to not be a bolshevik shit.
“But they have to exercise “extreme caution”. What does that even mean?”
It just goes with the disturbing images of people at the beach.
*I shudder thinking of that*

People got the rebranded flu and like usual, like every other year before insanity by fear took over, some oldies succumbed.
No different to any year previous, and no spike in death rates until the jabbed started dying of blood clots etc.
As is WA.
So is Gladys, who no longer envisages* lockdowns, going to re-institute lockdowns or is she going to permit people to continue going about their daily lives with a proportion of people effectively vaccinated below 90%.
If it is acceptable then, why not now?
* In all fairness, perhaps when she says she no longer envisages it what she means is that whenever it begins to come to mind she concentrates on images of giant flies pulling the legs off people until the urge passes.
The churches are not totally dependent on state funding, nor even significantly dependent.
Call their bluff.
Church restorations, e.g., do not need the ‘heritage’ fundings which work to compromise the buildings, making them partially owned by the state, subject to what the parishioners can and can’t do to the building.
Schools can go it alone, as can hospitals, as they did in the past.
This business of kowtowing gets a bit tiring.
So does that mean the 70 % of Australians in QLD , unvaccinated, unable to access their friends and rellies in NSW, to cross for work, and for the simple fact that NSW is part of their country anyway, can come into to NSW?
This statement by Gladys is insane, evil gas lighting.
As soon as you open up, you no longer have only your prisoners in your prison.
90% vaccinated becomes 50% of all people in the state, for example.
Not that 90% is unachievable anyway, what a joke.
Listening to these people will send you insane.
Your ability to reason and think logically is lost because you are being held hostage with all the stress that encompasses.
It’s very hard to think clearly and rationally when you’ve been a continuous victim of serious crime since Feb last year.
Foe every minute, for every second they have held you captive.
Like all of this, when logic is applied, nothing makes sense, and the only thing that does, is the people doing this to us are criminals of the highest order and must be brought to justice.
Greg Hunt family affairs
Is there any ONE of them without a conflict of interest?
Schools can go it alone, as can hospitals, as they did in the past
At the moment there is no way that the catholic institutions can go alone again. The cost of maintaining and running both would see them collapse. Don’t forget that in the past both were mainly staffed by religious orders whose salaries were very low to non-existent.
Imagine having access to – and ministerial control over – a big chunk of $50o million per annum in other people’s money?
It’s enough to turn a grifter like Greg Hunt – whose only job outside politics was the law, which is primarily about acquiring other people’s money – into a career criminal.
Not that I am making that allegation about Greg Hunt, even though he is a senior minister in a government that has racked up more carefree government debt and spending than any government in Australian history.
