Given the nature of the outage, there was nothing to failover to. Servers , routers, schedulers were still working, except that because of the error in the BGP protocol configuration error they weren’t aware that anything else existed.

Panic merchant James Morrow is on Bolta.
I still remember him squealing in April May 2020 for an Australia wide shut down.

Well, he got his wish then.

Lately he’s been over at The Critic complaining about Australia’s lockdowns to a British – and worldwide -audience.

It’s great that he’s had a change of mind, but maybe a bit of humility would be in order?

Partially a StandWivDan tactic to make it look like it is solely the revenge of the Scorned Somyurek.

May I draw to your attention the ad hominem.

You can, Doc, but you’re now making the fallacy of omission I’m afraid. I always explain the reasons why I think the person is making a stupid comment or is a moron. Saying a person is a diabolical idiot and then explaining why is not ad hom.

You, on the other hand don’t appear to be interested in arguments on their merits. Rather, you’re also committing the logical fallacy of appeal to authority. I’m a little surprised as I thought you were better than that. However, I’m no longer surprised on the downside.

Still scratching my head about the knife, but.

I have three Swiss Army knives.
With them I can fix almost anything!
The one with the saw and pliers is especially useful*.
Maybe she should get a socket set for her next birthday.

*(I was given it by the company I worked for. A year later they banned pocket knives on site after someone cut themselves. It was wonderfully Dilbertesque.)

My kids got Swiss Army Knives for their 8th Birthdays and were allowed to take them to school for their Birthday Show & Tell.

They went to a very small country school. Other kids road their ponies to school & left them at our place nearby.

It took a while for City Leftism to hit us, but when it did, it made up for lost time.

If they could provide one mechanistic explanation of possible long term risks I’d be interested but all we have is speculation about some unknown process that will suddenly emerge at a later date.

One thing which has been raised several times lately is suppression of the natural immune system, specifically T cells, leaving people vulnerable to other illnesses such as cancer. This is one of the points raised by Dr. Ryan Cole. Then, of course, there’s the issue that the vaccine defends only against one particular strain rather than the whole corona virus family even though there’s only about 20% difference between them and would normally be recognised by your body. In fact, just yesterday, the Pfizer scientists unknowingly recorded by Project Veritas were saying that natural immunity is much better. And that’s not even raising the most immediate risk which is blood clots and heart problems.

At best a trivial argument.

Timothy Neilsonsays:

Not at all. The baker wasn’t refusing to deal with the customer. The business was just saying “we don’t supply that product, but you’re welcome to buy anything we do supply”. If there were evidence the baker had supplied pro-gay “marriage” cakes to other people, then they would be discriminating against the customers in question by refusing them. But there wasn’t.
It’s the same as trying to hire a concert pianist and demanding he play Barry Manilow songs. He’s entitled to say “I don’t do that”, even though he could.

Last week you suggested the argument didn’t work because it only worked two decades ago when you said corporate libertarianism was going strong. Now, you just calling it dumb. So far no real argument because you can’t make one.

Here’s a dilemma.
I just got a summons for jury service.
What are the odds?
Had a five-week jury stint early-mid last year and my name comes out again.
For reasons I won’t go into here it was a shit of a time and the judge suggested at the end that jurors should be given a permanent exemption from jury service in future.
Trouble is, I didn’t get a letter to that effect and the reporting of the case was suppressed and I think still is.
Can I tell them that I was a juror in R v Smith, Jones and Others before Judge Bloggs and I’ve got a free kick?
Then it occurs to me.

It actually is trivial in the way Neilson presented the argument. “The cake” in both instances is the whole kit and caboodle that includes the icing and the decorations.

“JCsays:

I always explain the reasons why I think the person is making a stupid comment or is a moron. ”
Reviewing the 4 October emails, it’s clear that JC’s been caught out in a naughty little fib. Naughty boy! Spanky bot bot and the naughty corner for you!

Now, if JC wants to proffer an explanation today about his performance on the 4th, that’s fine, but he could at least try to understand what he’s deprecating.
The argument wasn’t about “decoration”, it was about the content of the message that the lesbians were demanding that the baker put on the cake. The baker asserted (and no-one seems to doubt the truth of the assertion) that he had never made cakes with pro-gay “marriage” messages on them, had never offered to do so, and had no intention of ever doing so in the future. That is, he was being asked to do something which had never been and was never going to be part of the business which he carried on.
There’s nothing wrong with arguing that a business should be allowed to turn down customers whether they’re asking for something outside the scope of the business or for something well within its normal course. But the two situations aren’t self-evidently the same. It’s perfectly possible to argue that a business shouldn’t “discriminate” in supplying it’s ordinary stock in trade while agreeing that a business shouldn’t be forced to do something outside its scope.

Studies are irrelevant if the product works in practice. This is what really gets my goat. People keep asking for more and more randomised, double bind, whatever studies when all they have to do is see the actual outcome of daily use among millions of people.

Obviously, saving lives is not enough evidence for some, especially if they don’t want to see it.

Neilson, as much as I totally support the baker’s right to choose not to make the cake, the excuse he pulled out of a hat is kind of stupid to. Let me explain why. Every cake, in terms of what goes on top etc is potentially unique. At least lots are very much so. The idea that he’s never done it before is laughable. All he had to do would be to have stuck small figurines of a couple of fat slobs on top and presto the lesbian cake is done. Don’t over-egg this cake.

And that’s not even raising the most immediate risk which is blood clots and heart problems.

That is not a mechanistic explanation. How are T cells suppressed? Apoptosis, Anergy, exhaustion, stem cell elimination, lymph node destruction? T Cells are lousy at attacking cancers. For 50 years they have been experimenting and trialing immune stimulation to attack solid tumours and the response is poor. Natural killer cells are the main cells for killing cancer cells and they don’t do a crash hot job. Many nascent tumours simply die or never progress, one reason being the lack of vasculature to supply nutrients so when we die we can have a number of pinpoint tumours in our body which may have been there for decades. Vaccines stimulate the immune system. Vaccines will induce undifferentiated cells to become specialised for a specific pathogen.

A mechanistic explanation is not just some bland statement about what might happen. It is a detailed description of the specific steps involved in creating the problem. So please point me to where the doctor explains that process.

Arky on a bad day could possibly be classed as an a****hole and JC the last couple of days has seemed like a right c**t. Don’t get me wrong, society needs a certain amount of c**ts to get some things done.
So how do you differentiate between and a****hole and a c**t? My guess is that they are both disagreeable but you would willingly associate with one but not the other. We were discussing the Jab or No Job mandate and touched on the staff resigning from Dying Kangaroo Airlines, police forces, doctors, miners…and every other affected industry on an on into infinity. So, I asked, where are these organisations going to get replacement staff from once they lose between 10 and 20% of their workforce?
The answer is from the ranks of the unemployed apparently!

*insert dropped jaw clunk here followed by uncontrolled hysteria*

Given we have roughly 4.6% unemployment right now (that’s the official number, clearly does not include the vast numbers of those forbidden to work) and a decent slab of that 4.6% are probably unemployable, that still leaves a significant shortfall. Don’t start me on how many of the 4.6% are fully trained pilots, cabin crew, nurses, etc. etc.

Haha.. It’s actually the reverse as irrational as that sounds. I had an excellent night in stocks last night with one of the large banks I hold going up a decent load and I was in a few stoushes. Mostly with Steve Jobs from Brisbane and his cousin.

Rorschach, truly I don’t really care if people are vaxxed or not. As, I’ve said, I strongly support people’s decision not to vax as it’s very personal. I abhor the attempts by the state to compel people through threats to vax.

Empty ED wards and plenty of time for choreography with a view to TikTokking, and/or scribbling on bits of cardboard so they can hold them up to the camera and then drop then in sequence whilst looking profound and heroic, and not a bit like they’re covered in flies and half their usual weight and about to get their heads blown off.

Funny, visiting a farmer mate when the daughter was a tiny young teen, he had a spare shotgun cartridge after some farm shooting, asked if she’d like to try.
I should have joined her up to a gun club. First shot of a shotgun, target way across the paddock, she only just missed, handled the kick like an old farmer.

Bruce, I have to tell you this. We have found where mum Currawong has made her new nest and it is very close by to her old one, but not in the Jacaranda, where she found she had bad sun exposure (I had to use a pump water spray on the chicks sometimes to stop them burning up), but in the thick of the Pttosporum that grows next to it and into it. We can hear the new chicks now complaining for food, and the perky and very attentive dad (a new and young one, maybe she ditched the old one or he was taken by a crow), is being very demanding about me giving over the food for his woman and those hungry kiddies. He’s so desperate I suspect he’d take the mince from my hand but I’m not game enough to try in case he nips with that raptor’s beak.

To think too that only yesterday Hairy was going to get his long-handled cutting tool and reach outside the windows of the now-enclosed terrace room and fiercely hack away at the Pttosporum because the wind was blowing a sticky residue that it currently drips and depositing it all over our new frameless glass on the balconies, especially disfiguring the chrome strip along the top. Can’t do that now, I say with a restraining hand. No disturbance at all allowed on my lovely bird’s choice of residential location.

The govt has to think this through carefully. There will be gazillions of unfair or constructive dismissal claims that it (the govt) will need to be represented in. And it will prob lose and have to pay both the businesses and claimants oats and penalties.

And I reckon it’ll have to pay those sacked the dole. So the businesses are behind the eightball if it comes to a waiting game.

Charging four times as much is enough. Selling people inedible crud at that point is basically stealing. They were, ostensibly, Christian bakers.

So they don’t really want the work because they feel they would be sinful. They’re not going to feel good about themselves if they deceive a customer.

All they can really do is say no or demand upfront payment. They can bake them a cake and give them their money back if they’re not satisfied.

We are opposed to the Biosecurity Amendment (Enhanced Risk Management) Bill 2021, specifically in relation to broadening the scope of the current Biosecurity Act 2015 to include biosecurity enforcement orders upon “classes of individuals”, specifically requiring them to wear specified clothing or equipment (108M), to be relocated and detained (108L), for an indefinite time (108 (2) ) and to provide body samples to the World Health Organization (108P). While we understand that these changes are meant to be imposed upon groups arriving into the country by plane or vessels, it does not expressly exclude the possibility of it also being applied to other “classes” of people such as the unvaccinated, or to certain ethnic, religious or politicosocial groups residing within Australia.

A mechanistic explanation is not just some bland statement about what might happen. It is a detailed description of the specific steps involved in creating the problem. So please point me to where the doctor explains that process.

Since I have no medical background bland statements are all I can manage. However, this is the presentation by Dr. Ryan Cole I referenced. It was originally up on YouTube but, unsurprising, was removed for challenging the narrative.

He makes a very good point about why the US was hit so badly. Obese, vit D, magnesium and K2 deficient. Possibly zinc and selenium as well. Another issue could be people not seeking treatment early enough because of medical expenses.

He makes some interesting points but I didn’t see a single reference(I skimmed) and there is data which contradicts some of his claims. What he sees in the lab is a poor guide, we really need to see much more than what one man sees in a lab result. He states in COVID infection we see antibodies in different proteins than the spike protein. Last time I checked that wasn’t the case but perhaps it is true. When he talks about the future risks of cancer and autoimmunity he finishes with, “we don’t know”. Not very helpful, no meat on that.

Yes people with morbidities are more at risk from the vax than otherwise. They are also at much higher risk if they develop an infection. They will develop a better immune response but they can also risk some chronic problems that we do know about.

Dr. Cole’s webpage(if I got the right Dr. Cole), doesn’t have any listed publications. That’s a little unusual or it could be just an oversight.

I prefer doctors like Campbell in the UK because he goes through the relevant literature and makes it very accessible for most educated people. He digs into the data rather than relying on his personal observations.

I’m very much over the COVID\vaccine thing. Too much noise from both sides of the argument. I can appreciate why some are very suspicious of the claims by the medical establishment. There is too much politics in this but we shouldn’t abandon standards of evidence because we have feelz that something isn’t right.

ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT!?

No, of course not. But I’m hopeful. It was always on the cards that the impossiblity of monitoring this nonsense would make it implode in on itself by Decembeer 1. I think that is Perrottet’s view too. I think Calli and any other unvaxxed person should just walk in to wherever and carry on being there. Evictions are not what people want to do, but get cameras ready if they try it. If if comes to family or friends being unwilling to mingle, just laugh at them and mingle anyway. They’ll soon get used to it.

As I said, if you really want to go somewhere and you are a female over 60, borrow my printout vaxx.
If enough people do this it will help invalidate the system too.

My understanding is you would have to call the police because a forceful eviction could constitute assault. Security guards can arrest and detain but only if you have committed a crime. I’ll leave that here for others here who know the law better to correct me.

Devastating. I can’t pick the arcade though

If only Melbourne… I fear the West is dead.

The economies are rooted and the governments way overextended in debt. All it needs is something that will decimate the populations and help identify and ostracise / cancel the free and nonconformist … oh wait!

All that will be left is the salting of the souls. (I know s/b soils … but in this case the auto correct may have hit on something)

Ahh, Sweden … Covid under control, crime out of control.

As ‘bomb blast’ on apartment block housing police witness injures 20, how liberal Sweden’s cities were last year plagued by more than 200 explosions and 360 shootings in violence blamed on ‘criminal clans with a different culture’

Suspected bomb blast ripped through apartment block in central Gothenburg on Tuesday, injuring 20 people

Police sources revealed an officer who recently testified at a major gang trial lived in the building

Bomb and gun crime has soared in recent years, with more than 200 explosions and 360 shootings last year

The country suffered its highest level of murder and manslaughter for at least 18 years in 2020

Eighty per cent were linked to gangs and 39 per cent involved guns

Right-wing blames massive immigration in recent years, largely from the Middle East and North Africa

But the government has long shied away from drawing any link between immigration and the country’s gangs

Maybe Dan XiMan’s job is to wreck the Victorian economy for his CCP paymasters.
Gladbags was doing a knock-up job on the NSW economy – see what happens in NSW now for an indication on how deep the CCP corruption is.

If the economies of Vic & NSW are destroyed, then chaos will result from the civil strife.

This then would be the trigger to bring in the UN Peace-Keepers (CCP troops) under that new Federal legislation.

Between the UN (CCP) and the “vaccinations”, the population of Australia will be reduced considerably.
The USA won’t intervene thanks to the Demonrats and Uncle Joe Biden – they’ll be wracked by their own civil strife at the right moment.
Australia (the mines & farms) will become a CCP Province, populated by the Han Chinese.

A little goss on the cop murder trial in Perth.
Haven’t seen it mentioned on the news despite it being a fairly newsworthy event.
First jury discharged after “ supporters” of the dead lady went ape shit in the courthouse.
Enough for the judge to think it might have influenced the jury…
Same reason they denied the defences request for a tour of the crime scene. Last thing they want is people seeing just how foul the parallel society in the area has become.
