Obviously that broadened over the years, particularly under Joh.

Nations are cities, with hinterland.
So true.
If you could call Australia a nation anymore the concept derived from the bush not city.
They say the Diggers cemented the Australian identity by outstanding feats of arms in WWI, they were mostly country lads.
The current big world cities are doing their level best to destroy the nations around them.
Public Health England Vaccination Surveillance report is also showing higher rates of infection in 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+ brackets, and its about double the rate until 80+.
Welcome to Australia, March/ April 2020. Is this even being discussed here?
80% of medical resources are spent on 0.6% – 8.5M people/Why are Chinese afraid of getting sick?
The vaccines are Trump’s Achilles Heel. He endorses them because he initiated production. It’s a pride thing.
Will he also own lack of success?
Because it’s a 3rd World Country with 3rd World Social Welfare, i.e. none.
America will have to work hard to lose a war to these crooks, but I don’t doubt that they’re up to the task.

Correct….and note that ICAC wasn’t interested in bugging Keneally’s phone in 2009.
The plain truth is that ICAC was missing in action during the rotten corrupt sixteen years of Labor…..Carr, Iemma, Rees and Keneally.
Odd that.
You’d have to see the graph of the period between vaccination and death to draw any conclusions.
If people start dropping, say, 6 months after, then it’s a worry.
If it’s just random, then the worst you could say in the vaccine used in Taiwan isn’t effective.

Sleeping Giants… Plimer registeringthe name is kinda funny.
But, if SG ever had any real traction, it was because the two or three incels running it had their agenda amplified by the editorial boards of Fauxfacts, the marxist ABC, and a few managed funds spivs.
Without that fluffing, they’re gone.
The Snoozing Midgets would’ve probably become active in the run up to the election in March.
Which makes Prof. Plimer’s gazumption so much more fun.
“But, if SG ever had any real traction, it was because the two or three incels running it had their agenda amplified by the editorial boards of Fauxfacts, the marxist ABC, and a few managed funds spivs.”
Sleeping Giants did and does have real traction……
1. These activist groups use social media such as Twitter and Facebook to attack Sky’s advertisers. Many companies have pulled advertising from Sky because cowardly middle and senior management at these companies and corporations capitulate after receiving a few scary emails and tweets from SG and other activist scum. Sky is regularly smeared as “racist”, “homophobic”, “Islamophobic”, “Covid deniers”, “climate change deniers”, “pedophile apologists” (that’s what SG smeared Andrew Bolt as after he defended George Pell back in 2019) ….cowardly advertisers lose their nerve and run.
2. SG still attacks Sky. A few months ago I spoke to Rowan Dean and he confirmed that the broadcaster is still assailed by SG and other activist scum.
The traction isn’t imagined…it’s real.
Shit.
I should have done that and sold merch to dumb rich bints.
I’m talking the specific “Sleeping Giants” brand. Anti-western activism will continue, with the usual spruikers and quislings, the swamp and the cathedral, but we might hope that the genus of fake grassroots online movement might be burnt for good.
All the same, it’s disgraceful that the Gilets Jaune, Let’s Go Brandon, freedom marches are not recognized as the genuine vox pop, the modest men facing down a sea of monsters, with a lot more skin in the game than basement pretenders.

Sent that link regarding the Jetson to an old friend.
Their reply:
In this country?
Boss, you can’t even fly a child’s toy drone without CASA approval and licensing.
Actually the same in Sweden. You’ll need a pilot licence ( a *really* good idea). Note the Jetson is a kit. If the kit requires 51% or greater of your work it qualifies as Experimental Amateur Built under Part 21.
Build it, get it signed off for Phase 1 testing by a CASA authorised “approved person” and go fly. After the requisite number of hours (probably 40 in this case) and you are still alive and the aircraft performing well, fly it where you like with some normal restrictions on flight over built up areas just like any other homebuilt aircraft. It isn’t that hard.
This all started in the USA in the early 1950’s. A sympathetic CAA (now FAA) employee helped Paul Poberezny (look him up – interesting guy) through the bureaucracy to get Part 21 Experimental. Amateur built is just one of about 7 and in Australia we actually have a category that the USA doesn’t have – Continued Private Operation of a Prototype. There is also a “WTF we don’t know how to categorise this flying machine category”.

@ Eyrie & Dot-
What’s the max all-up weight and stalling speed of this Jetson thingy?
If 250kg or less and the stall speed is max. 70kts, the vehicle could be registered as a Light Sport Aircraft, which potentially puts it into the Recreational Aviation category. Lower requirements for piloting, but limited to day VFR conditions , etc. Lower registration costs, too.
Rex, the limits for LSA are 600 Kg and 45 knots stall. However you are limited to single piston engine. Jetson will not qualify.
Somewhat surprisingly, there are no registration fees for private VH registered light aircraft. If you go Recreational Aviation Australia you are forced to join a private body for over $200 a year and pay an annual fee to them of IIRC around $240 per year for your aircraft. Bunch of scammers enabled by CASA.
Thanks Eyrie.
Argentina is now a pretty poor country and has been accepted vaccine donations.
Argentina and Australia are quite similar from an arable land area / mineral resources / population perspective.
The countries had divergent paths until quite recently, now we’re rapidly catching up to them in the socialist hell hole stakes….
You don’t have to look too deeply to realize that the ‘democratic’ party and their billionaire backers are trying to bring about social and economic collapse in the US. Green light to shoplifting. Turning public streets into toilets. Attacking productive people with punitive taxation and regulations. Mutilating children and ensuring that they will never become parents. The evil trash allowing this to happen have been around for a long long time.
Rex, the limits for LSA are 600 Kg and 45 knots stall. However you are limited to single piston engine.
Does a Pietenpol slip in under this? I’m planning to steal the engine from Arky’s model A to keep it authentic.
rickw, yes. Friend who built a Sopwith Pup fighter is building a Pietenpol. Wings done, ready for fabric, fuselage built and being finished. He’s looking for a Continental O-200.
His type are known as “serial offenders” (built more than one aircraft).
OK- That I didn’t know.
So CASA recoup their costs in medical and licence fees, landing charges and so forth, eh?
If you drive an oversized truck into a range of tunnels in Sydney you can lose your licence & the fines are pretty big.
I’m sure if the a state government wanted to, in Australia, they could tweak existing regulations for the Extinction Rebellion road blockers to be subject to the same fines & loss of licence.
They won’t.
But they should.

Yeah right.
Twitter & TikTok are showing that Extinction Rebellion blocked a road in Canberra today.
I can’t see it reported in the corporate media anywhere.
These ER types are almost all boomers in Oz.
Rex, CASA is funded by the fuel levy. There is a $75 every two years to CASA for the medical registration. Main cost is the DAME (Designated Aviation medical Examiner) around $275 of which about 15 minutes is looking at you and 30 minutes filling in CASA paperwork. Mine is my GP.
There is no pilot licence fee. You need a flight with an instructor every two years for which you pay him.
Aerodromes are no longer owned by CASA. The landing fee, for those which charge it, goes to the owner/operator of the aerodrome. Some don’t in order to get the traffic and sell fuel.
The ongoing (seemingly interminable) relationships of the petit bourgeois …
I’ve sent Liz a link to the guest post on the Digital Identity bill. Knowing my luck it will probably make her even more “not happy”. 🙁

Odd how none of them have ever called up during these Extinction Rebellion road blockages.

The Canberra ones definitely were. Clearly not enough to do.

rex, Around $250 every two years. You only need one if you are going to fly to an airport that has an airline service. If you seriously use the aircraft for point to point transport you need one, if only for weather diversions. If sport flying in your local area and airports which don’t require one , don’t bother.
The more optimistic among us (naively) thought we didn’t exist in a soviet style dictatorship.
You’ll need an ASIC even if you fly Recreational and want to go to an airline operation airport.

JC did say he granted it away.
Renewable Energy subsidies in Australia are Theft.
Prove me wrong.

By Richard Fernandez
Lucky Australia paid for the OECD chief.
We might be in trouble otherwise.

Flying Pigs:
Higher prices for energy was the aim of the Greens and their political hacks.
The high prices were meant to cut back energy use.
The mantra of cheap renewables was only made when the peasants arced up at the prices.
Now that prices are going up, they’re complaining? That was the aim!

Uh huh.
Honestly, I don’t see why the electorate doesn’t take action.
They’re not getting anywhere with the current method.
World wide, the cartoonists are spoilt for choice. It’s insanity writ large.
Thanks, Tom!
I’m done repenting.
Ready for the week.
Is today “begone” day?
Today is the feast day, among other things, of St. Caesarius of Terracina. This bloke arrived in Italy and started protesting against the following local custom:
Hey eight good months is eight good months. Unhappy with his barking, the city’s governor put Caesarius and another local Christian into a sack, which he had turfed into the ocean from a cliff.
The governor’s name was (I am not kidding) Luxurius.
There’s a message in there somewhere for all of us.
I think Begone Day was yesterday at some point, Cassie.
You could tell. Blood moons, three-legged calves being born and crows calling out in French.
Footage on Skah this morning of Tim Smith’s motor being retrieved from a house in Hawthorn and flat-bedded away.
Sweet ride. Politics pays well, it would seem.
Dear non loon and valued contributor, Pigsy,
Oooh yes I am definitely JC’s sockpuppet. That’s because Dover knows me and JC are two different people and he definitely encourages sockpuppets. Sure, everyone owns CBRN gear so nuclear war is nothing to dear (actually my point was, you drug addled moron, that we have a state of MAD and ironically, peace). Yep CAD is the worst investment of all time, more so than call options on R Kelly’s future earnings, plus the unintentional racism in your valued contribution was a real charm.
Tell me, what colour is the sky up your rectum?
Farmer Gez:
When I was doing the remote nursing stuff, the best thing to stop the ear/eye/froat diseases was to install a swimming pool.
Of course it didn’t help when the pools had to be drained because some bastard of a kid thought it funny to shit in it.
The Australian is reporting that Chemist Warehouse made a mozza for their owners in the last year.
$454m of dividends for the 2021 financial year to their two co-founders, on the back of increased on-line sales and sales to government (PPE).
Gee, the pandemic was lucky for some.
Cite you the community where the kids ‘got bored”, stole a Toyota, and drove it into the brand new swimming pool…
And what would happen if she was unjabbed?

That was interesting especially the Panopticon part where the individual starts to self censor because they can’t tell if they are being watched – becoming in effect, the own gaoler.
