Dear Galt’s Gulch resident:

Today we are announcing a preference deal between the Liberal Democrats and the United Australia Party (UAP). Our lead QLD Senate candidate Campbell Newman will be hosting a joint press conference with UAP founder Clive Palmer, while our lead NSW Senate candidate John Ruddick will hold a simultaneous press conference with UAP leader Craig Kelly.

We do not agree with the UAP on everything, but at this crucial moment in Australian politics it is vital for minor parties that oppose Covid restrictions and vaccine mandates to coordinate to create an alternative to the Liberal-Labor-Green axis of authoritarianism. Many of our members have been calling for us to cooperate with other minor parties for this election, and we have listened.

Realistically, under the Turnbull/Greens voting system there are only a handful of minor parties that have a credible path to winning seats at the upcoming federal election. We believe that the Liberal Democrats are the best option for the country, and this preference deal will help us to achieve our goal of getting Senators elected across the country. If we fall short in some states, then we believe that the UAP will be better for the country than the Liberal, Labor, or Green Parties, and so we urge our supporters to give your 2nd preference to them, and then to all other sane minor parties.

Dr John Humphreys
National President
Liberal Democrats

When antifa was taking over parts of cities, looting burning murdering it was all lalala but ordinary people protesting vaccine passports mandates and permanent pandemic legislation?

As much as the country is stuffed and things look dire, it’s a beautiful thing to watch decades of bullshit that has been rammed down our throats start to unravel. The narratives are falling apart and only the rusted on true believers will remain. All we need now is a few politicians with spine to slash the public service, slash activist taxpayer funding and slash the ABC. These are the remnants of what drives this rubbish, take their oxygen away and let them wither and die!

Glad to see LDP and UAP enter into an agreement, acknowledging that they must be pragmatic to wrest at least some control from the major parties.

I have always balked at fringe groups who are deluded enough to think that their monomania is shared by the public at large and end up being traded backwards and forwards blind to the vast machinations going on all around them, and occasionally discovering they can get some small concession in return for gifting a big party some great new power.

If we had journalists who did their job instead of acting as mouthpieces for state premiers we might know the answer to that and not just in regard to the NT & QLD but other states as well. The scant information available suggests that we may actually have gone backwards in ICU beds available since last year, especially in regional areas. QLD Labor is presently conducting a review of our ailing public health system which is set up at the outset to place the blame on the Federal government. Is this a pre-emptive move to shift blame for a failure to prepare for a higher number of critical covid cases among the vulnerable and health compormised once borders reopen? Is the NT CM running scared up there for the same reason? Odds on, I’d suggest.

Pride in appearance used to be a western thing too. But it seems to have been corroded by encouraging the view that your company is out to get you so screw them, they are never paying you enough so screw them, customers treat you like a slave so screw them, you are way above this job so screw you.

It is the thinking that has led to the idea that no matter how matted and reeking my armpits are, how blotched my face, greasy my hair, and oblate my body, you cannot think anything bad. Its my right!

In Japan I used to marvel at how, on a certain day, all the people on the train lines would switch from summer to winter uniform. Proper uniforms too – peaked caps, ties, jackets (in winter) all in the companies livery. All meticulously groomed. At first I thought it a bit funny they were taking it so seriously, but I can see now that it served a purpose and they were proud to do their jobs well.

In WA, the “No Mandatory Vaccination Party” did well at the last state elections, coming in fifth after the Liberal, Labor, Greens and National parties. They out-polled the Christian Democrats and Pauline’s One Nation parties who usually lead amongst the minor parties.

NICK BRUINING Q+A: How do I spend my big lotto win but also keep the pension?
Nick Bruining
The West Australian
Mon, 22 November 2021 2:00AM

QUESTION

I recently won second division in the Set for Life lottery which will pay me $5000 a month for 12 months. Sounds wonderful, until I contacted Centrelink.

Had the annual amount of $60,000 been paid as a lump sum, it would have had a minor impact on my wife’s and my pension.

However, because it is paid monthly, it is deemed to be income and therefore we lose almost all of our pension. I know we are still better off than before, but it has taken the shine off the win.

I did approach Lotterywest to see if we could receive the money as a lump sum, but they were adamant that we could only receive monthly payments.

Is there anything we can do ?
ANSWER

We’ll start with congratulations and point out that it is a very nice problem to have.

The basic principle underpinning our pension system is that welfare money is a scarce resource and Australia is unable to afford a “universal pension” where everyone gets a government pension in retirement.

The scarce pool of welfare money is managed through the imposition of pension means-testing. In simple terms, our system says that if you have the means to fund your own retirement, either fully or partially, you are compelled to do so. If, for example, you inherit a family beach-house in Eagle Bay worth $2.5 million, our system says you should use that asset first, before collecting a taxpayer-funded pension.

The system does not discriminate where the income or assets come from — if they are there, they will be used to calculate your entitlements. Without knowing anything of your other finances and assuming the win is the only income being received in addition to the pension, I have estimated that you will see a $993.85 reduction in your fortnightly pension as a result of the $5000-a-month payment.

Your combined pension will therefore be $464.75 a fortnight in addition to the $5000 a month. At the end of the 12 months, had you not won the lottery, your total income for the year would have been about $38,000. With your win, your total income for the year, including Centrelink, will be about $72,100.

The bottom line is that you will be better off by more than $34,000 over the 12-month period. There’s nothing that you can do to reduce the effects of the income test in this instance.

One factor to remember is that between now and the end of the 12 months, your Centrelink pension will increase. An increase in the age pension payment rate occurs in March and September each year and the means-test thresholds are indexed on July 1 each year.

Just keep doubling down government’s. The jackboots will kick the unvaxxed harder, the unvaxxed will lose jobs and then they’ll try to bring in vaccinated hordes fastracked from the east and overseas to fill the hole. They’ll just keep pushing until the silent majority snaps!

I had a conversation with custard about a month ago and we were both absolutely despondent at the current state of affairs. Personally we are going well but nothing about the political and social landscape sat well with either of us. The dividing has been draining. But, as proven last weekend, massive rallies of day to day folk, not activists, in a mass show of numbers is the uniting movement we need. You can feel it. It’s coming. It may get messy. Meme become reality. Proles and rural folk and big brained elites refuse to get vaccinated. Midwit middle class all lining up to get vaccinated.

Sydney’s inner-west and south trailing behind residents in the north and west
Less than 30 per cent of residents in Murray Downs postcodes double-jabbed
Less than 55 per cent of eligible adults in Carlton in Melbourne fully vaccinated
Sydney’s eastern suburbs boasting high vaccination rates of over 90 per cent

In Sydney, southern and inner-city suburbs are recording lower vaccination rates than the north and west while some suburbs in the city’s east have a double dose rate of over 90 per cent.

Sluggish vaccination rates are also evident in the inner-city suburb of Carlton in Melbourne, as well as a cluster of rural townships on the Victoria-NSW border.

In the neighbouring suburbs of Broadway, Ultimo and Camperdown, less than 70 per cent of eligible adults have been fully vaccinated.

And in the waterside suburbs of Elizabeth Bay and Woolloomooloo, a similar vaccination rate is being recorded with less than 60 per cent fully vaccinated.

Also have a new update (details removed to protect the guilty!) on the quest to get my Anaphalaxis chap his exemption from a second shot.

They appear totally committed to getting that second shot in no matter if it causes another life threatening reaction.

I hope that you are having a good week. I have received some information from the Department of Health, they have advised that the COVID-19 Vaccinations Senior Medical Advisor contacted XXX to assist in resolving your concerns and on XX November 2021, the Deputy Chief Health Officer (CHO) granted a temporary exemption for you until 31 January 2022.

The have also advised that the decision to grant vaccine exemptions are made through a stringent and in depth process via the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). There are only certain people authorised to be decision makers on any request for exemption (e.g CHO), and these decisions are based on information provided in the AIR. AIR Exemption Information

• The vaccine safety clinic received a referral for XXXX dated EARLY November 2021.

• This has been triaged as Category 1 however, an appointment date is yet to be confirmed.

Due to the increase in demand for appointments, it is estimated XXXX will be seen between 2-3 months’ time.

This seems to indicate they have a massive chunk of people to get through.
It also indicates they havent given him an exemption long enough to cover the expected waiting period.
We are trying to get the exemption extended at least out till the 3 month mark..

Looking for a final solution to Covid.

Most Germans to be ‘vaccinated, cured or dead’ within months, says minister

Karl Lauterbach, a Social Democrat MP, called for a “radical” application of rules requiring people to present vaccination or recovery certificates to access some shops and public places. “A general vaccine mandate [shouldn’t be] taboo either,” he wrote on Twitter.

Lothar Wieler, the head of the disease control agency the Robert Koch Institute, described a mandate as a “measure of last resort” but did not rule out recommending one. A spokesperson for the outgoing government said it would leave the decision to the incoming administration.

Police are also investigating the alleged assault of the daughter of Animal Justice Party MP Andy Meddick, who has announced his support for the pandemic bill.

Mr Meddick said last week he believed the assault occurred because of his stance on the bill.

Not so much “Today” as “Last Week”.

Part of an email from George Christensen –

Earlier today, I informed Nationals leader Barnaby Joyce (and the Nationals Party Room of which I am a member) that, unless we act to stop state governments and private corporations from discriminating against non-vaccinated Australians when it comes to either employment or clientele, then I intend to not be beholden to party room discipline when voting in the House of Representatives.
To be clear, until federal action is taken against vaccine discrimination, I will be voting according to my conscience (or abstaining from votes) on bills and substantive motions rather than just voting with the government as MPs usually do.
As I was elected as a member of the Liberal National Party, I will continue to support the government with confidence motions and supply as well as procedural motions (except if they relate to ending vaccine discrimination). My support is not guaranteed on bills or substantive motions. When action is taken to stop vaccine discrimination, I will go back to the normal process of voting with the government on most, if not all, bills and substantive motions.
I have no doubt this stance will result in personal attacks on me. But far more important than my political and personal reputation is the prospect of ending the tyranny, the discrimination, the segregation, the job losses and the negative business impacts that are all being wrought (or are about to be wrought) on my fellow Australians.

I thought last week’s protest was most important to go to to grab and push the momentum of the big Victorian protest the week before.

Now this weeks protests are the most important to go to to show that A) Last week wasn’t a flash in the pan, and B) Their manipulative lies this week about nazis and ‘extremists’ to scare off the ‘normies’ have no power over us.

The ‘nazis’, ‘violent’, ‘extremist’ play they’re running is an attempt to make ‘normal’ people, on balance, stay home as they fear being labeled something something by ‘polite’ (read SMH / Guardian / news.com.au) reading society.

As though it’s still 2019 and the worst thing in the world for a person socially is the Guardian reader in the office finding out you think Pauline Hanson is not as bad as they make out.

The problem – which they’ve created themselves, is that it only works if you’re only threatening to run people out of a ‘normal’ functioning society.

The problem they have is they just ran everyone out of society. People who did all the right things and stayed away from when told and paid their taxes and mewled and scraped and kept their heads down and didn’t say “One Nation” in polite company and denouncingly denounced the ‘far right’ on command from the communist media.

In the end it made absolutely no difference, they just got purged over something completely different with no warning.

A bit late in the day, yet Mark Knight’s cartoon rankles for being misleading in every respect. Thus:

a. There were about 300,000-plus Freedom marchers. Maybe a few less, or maybe thousands more.
b. There were about 150 Antifreedom protesters. Maybe a few less, or maybe a few more.

a. The 300,000-plus Freedom marchers clearly had a cause: they marched to protest against being deprived of freedom.
b. The 150 Antifreedom protesters had no cause : they marched to protest against the persons who were protesting.

a. The 300,000-plus Freedom marchers were not in the least bit grim ; rather, they were friendly, joyful, made up of many young families, and reflected multicultural Australia.
b. The 150 Antifreedom marchers were masked, grim, aggressive, and reflected white supremacist, racist (see below) elements of society.

a. The 30000-plus Freedom march was organised as a discrete event to occur at a particular time and on a particular day.
b. The 150 Antifreedom protests was organised as a discrete event designed specifically to clash with the Freedom march.

a.The 300,000-plus Freedom marchers were peaceful throughput the protest; some prayed aloud as they marched.
b. The 150 Antifreedom protesters were menacing and attacked (away from the observation of the 300,000-plus marchers) two solitary individuals who were working in a media capacity

a. The 300,000-plus Freedom marchers throughout the day did not require police intervention for any incident at all.
b.The 150 protest required that the police intervene to protect the two solitary media individuals – both from non-European backgrounds – who were attacked by members of the 150 protest group. Importantly, the police in protecting the two media individuals did so by requiring that the individuals leave the area. That is, the police held the two solitary persons responsible and culpable for the violence they suffered at the hands of the 150 Antifreedom protesters.

Yet not one of these facts is available from Knight’s ‘cute’ cartoon.

Someone upthread was mentioning the quarantine camps in the NT and there are similar ones in QLD. Did they spend a commensurate amount on upping the capacity for respiratory units in the hospitals in the last two years we have had to prepare for the inevitable?

If we had journalists who did their job instead of acting as mouthpieces for state premiers …

… they were bullied, blackmailed & bought off long ago, and as for independent journalists, well they were simply effectively silenced by being hunted down & branded, “Conspiracy Theorists”, “Nut Jobs” and worse, by “friends” & “respected people”, AKA armies of professional propagandists on ‘Social’ Media.

The Global Propaganda War has been the longest planned & best executed action against humanity, and it’s not even limping.

That so many still believe that ‘the tide is turning’, “thanks to the internet/’social’ media”, is an indication of just how well The Propaganda War against humanity, is going.

The attitude of the vaxxed towards the unvaxxed being locked up is astounding.

They have been encouraged to think of them as an enemy – although I doubt they could explain why they are because there is no real justification for protected people to be vulnerable to the unprotected.

But they did ‘the right thing’. Things perhaps they did not want to do really, but compromised. They see other people who did not give in and may even feel a little ashamed because there are a lot more people who said ‘no’ than they realised when they under duress said ‘yes’.

It is unbearable that the unvaxxed should not somehow also be made to suffer, so the original choice of the reluctant vaxxed is transformed into the smart choice. For preference they would like the couf to be vastly more contagious and virulent – and targeted at the unvaxxed.

Thing is, in six months, they will be unvaxxed again themselves and a member of that hated community until they get their booster. Even though they might wish they had not got the first shot they will continue to get booster shots because of that initial choice.

They might find themselves with a choice of having had the two original shots facing more every six months. The smart move would be to refuse the boosters and admit the first two were a mistake. They will have been experimented on twice.

But that is hard.

Instead they will line up for each booster and allow themselves to be experimented on repeatedly – to mentally defend the decision the first time.

‘lot of people are dicks.

A lot of American blacks affect this dialect. Supposed to affiliate them with the ‘hood, and all that bollocks. Or show they are a race apart, or something.

I read this morning that in there was a sort of re-boot of The Wonder Years set in Montgomery, Alabama in the same time frame as the original.

I looked at the reviews in IMDB to see if it was at all a wokefest or white-guilt thing. Apparently not.

Weird thing is that these shows usually aim 20 or 30 years before they were produced. In the 70’s there was Happy Days (set in the 50’s), That 70’s show was produced in the late 90’s and so on. This was a half century gap.

Then it hit me – maybe it is not about a generation of adults revisiting their youth. Maybe it is about setting an example of a functional black family. Both parents at home bringing up kids, Dad works, mum has the home. Kids study, have ambitions, people have responsibilities, they have fun without a crackpipe, support each other etc.

The damage done to the black family since the 70’s has been heart rending. The broken homes, the gangs, the explosive violence, the deadbeat dads, the single mothers on welfare, the inability to focus beyond a few days before and after the moment – so much waste.

Maybe the show is trying to normalise the family again.

They have no problem with a patient of mine who has a history of adverse vaccine reactions (and has passed some of that to his kids) being made to have a Covid jab, on pain of losing his job, which required medical intervention to stop him from dying.
They they tell him hes got to prove (beyond having a witnessed reaction requiring medical intervention) he should be exempt from having a second shot.

And hes also worried if his kids have the vax they may have a similar (or worse) reaction.

The difference is the Premier has the entire bureaucracy and police force behind him to protect and make my patient conform.

If anything was to happen to pollies I can only say good riddance. You want to force people to have medical treatments hiding behind an emergency declaration, well heres your emergency.

Well it didn’t work did it?
And peaceful rallies just increase the speed of their growing tyranny as they start to see the need for urgency.
What do they need to do before you suggest they’ve crossed a line , here?
At what point do you pick up a rock?
Let us know, please.
But, but, we don’t want the blog closed down……I get that, but let that be the only reason to control the language, not some other reasons given here, as they thoroughly deserve all that must now come to them.
There is no other way, now.
We took too long to wake up.
Well most did, and be fucked if I am taking the blame there.
Because I and a small few did not.
We’ve been on about this since the start and now look where we are.
Violence is now the only way out, which is the last resort.
Thanks to the Notafans of this world, of which there are millions.
Thanks to the people who found the truth so confronting they screamed the house down rather than allow themselves to admit the truth.
Here we are.

But, as proven last weekend, massive rallies of day to day folk, not activists, in a mass show of numbers is the uniting movement we need. You can feel it. It’s coming. It may get messy. It’s the first positive sign in two years though and it needs to continue!

That’s my thinking too.
Overreach is what tyrants with no sense of history do.
Oh yes, it will get messy, we just need to stay the course.

If the exports of coal and iron ore slow to sweet bugger all, will China do a 1940’s Japan and declare casus belli?

Winston – I think most of the coal goes to Japan and S Korea these days since Xi embargoed us. But if they on-sell it to China it isn’t much of a cost as the price is still rather yummy. Not as ummy as a month ago but the recipients of BHP assets are probably still drooling, at least a little.

Anyway BHP is selling out of coal because dastardly not-happening worming. Never believe the propaganda BHP peoples, you’ll pay for it.

As for iron ore, I can’t see Sneakers allowing ScoMo to turn off the delectable royalty tap.

It’s fascinating really. In the decade or so that I’ve pounded the shit out this blowhard for being a clown, the only way he ever tries to come back at me is by dissembling and making up complete crap about me or what I’ve said.

I’ve never said Starbucks couldn’t go “belly up”. I said that A$300 million write down for failing in Australia meant nothing to Starbucks at the time as investors accepted the firm was in a major growth phase and they would forgive failures here and there. Driller lies that I said it couldn’t go belly up. Starbucks didn’t go belly up because it failed in Australia.

I never said there wouldn’t be labor shortages especially with 500,000 visa holders leaving the country. However, there’s also been around 500,000 Australians who made their way home. There’s a mismatch and an official unemployment rate of plus 5% means there is no labor shortage.

Driller defends peripherals and always has. It’s really weird shit because he appears to have a huge chip on his shoulder for being an uneducated redneck. He also lives of his father’s military service and pretends it makes him a former SAS soldier. He also defends and lies about mentally impaired plagiarists.
