Whoever has control for landing, if he/she shows signs of incapacity, the non-flying pilot calls “taking over” or “my aircraft”, shoves the balls to the wall and goes around.
Even on short final.

Too bad if the bloke flying has seizure and rigidly extends his arms while dying at say 100 feet.
In Airbus aircraft he’s also got to let go of the little button on the sidestick that gives priority to let the other bloke take over.

The fascist left don’t want perfection. That is just the excuse they use to attempt to justify controlling every minute aspect of people’s lives.

Put it this way, BJ, the idealists naively seek perfection, the hard core exploit that to control.

This is why the KGB drew up hit lists of leading idealistic fellow travellers in third world countries in the ’50s & ’60s. When the Marxist revolution came, they’d have to be among the first eliminated because they’d easily become dissatisfied with the true nature of Communism became apparent.

Table 52. Use in Pregnancy and while Breast Feeding
Evidence source:
The safety profile of the vaccine is not known in pregnant or breastfeeding women due to their initial
exclusion from the pivotal clinical study. There may be pregnant women who choose to be vaccinated
despite the lack of safety data. It will be important to follow these women for pregnancy and birth outcomes.
The timing of vaccination in a pregnant woman and the subsequent immune response may have varying
favourable or unfavourable impacts on the embryo/foetus. The clinical consequences of SARS-CoV-2
infection to the woman and foetus during pregnancy is not yet fully understood and the pregnant woman’s baseline health status may affect both the clinical course of her pregnancy and the severity of COVID-19.
These factors and the extent to which the pregnant woman may be at risk of exposure to SARS-CoV-2 will
influence the benefit risk considerations for use of the vaccine.
Population in need of further characterization:
The lack of data is communicated in product labelling; for clinical study of the safety and immunogenicity of COVID-19 mRNA vaccine in pregnant women and while breast feeding, see PART III.2 and PART III.3.
Table 53. Use in Immunocompromised Patients
Evidence source:
The vaccine has not been studied in individuals with overt immunocompromised conditions. Therefore,
further safety data will be sought in this population.
Population in need of further characterisation:
Safety data will be collected in individuals with compromised immune function due to acquired or genetic conditions or conditions requiring the use of immunosuppressants as this population of individuals in the active surveillance studies and the clinical studies proposed by the MAH (see PART III.2 and PART III.3).
Table 54. Use in Frail Patients with Co-morbidities (e.g., chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, chronic neurological disease,
cardiovascular disorders)
Evidence source:
The vaccine has been studied in individuals with stable chronic diseases (e.g., hypertension, obesity),
however it has not been studied in frail individuals with severe co-morbidities that may compromise immune function due to the condition or treatment of the condition. Therefore, further safety data will be sought in this population.
Population in need of further characterisation:
Safety data will be collected in individuals who are frail due to age or debilitating disease in the active
surveillance studies and through routine pharmacovigilance (see PART III.2 and PART III.3).
BNT162b2
Risk Management Plan November 2021
CONFIDENTIAL
Page 111
Table 55. Use in Patients with Autoimmune or Inflammatory Disorders
Evidence source:
There is limited information on the safety of the vaccine in patients with autoimmune or inflammatory
disorders.
Population in need of further characterisation:
Safety data will be collected in individuals with autoimmune or chronic inflammatory diseases, including
those who may be on immunosuppressants in the active surveillance studies (see PART III.2 and
PART III.3).
Table 56. Interaction with other Vaccines
Evidence source:
There are no data on interaction of COVID-19 mRNA vaccine with other vaccines at this time.
Population in need of further characterisation:
All reports describing interactions of COVID-19 vaccine with other vaccines per national recommendations in individuals will be collected and analysed as per routine PV activities. Interactions with commonly used non-COVID-19 vaccines, such as influenza vaccine, are proposed to be studied in a future clinical study (see
PART III.2 and PART III.3).
Table 57. Long Term Safety Data
Evidence source:
At this time, 2-month post dose 2 safety data are available for approximately half of the patients who have received COVID-19 mRNA vaccine in Study C4591001. The study is ongoing.
Anticipated risk/consequence of missing information:
At the time of vaccine availability, the long-term safety of COVID-19 mRNA vaccine is not fully known,
however there are no known risks with a potentially late onset. Data will continue to be collected from
participants in ongoing study C4591001 for up to 2 years following the 2nd dose of vaccine. Additionally,
active surveillance studies are planned to follow long-term safety in vaccine recipients for 2 years following
Dose 2.

I don’t quite get it though. The RBA can literally print more money, so why the need to crash the banking system? Also, banks borrow money primarily through deposits , so why would the government want to pay down bank debt? For what purpose? These are the sorts of things the mufti doesn’t answer.

Whether Reagan would have glassed Tehran and Qom is obviously unknowable (and I doubt he would have) but even so, conventional weapons would have caused a hell of a mess.

The Iranian Navy might have had a rowboat left, for starters, if they could find a place to hide it well.

Operation Praying Mantis

That was in Reagan’s last year. He sank half the Iranian Navy in an afternoon, and only didn’t sink the rest of it to give the ayatollahs a chance to back down. Which they did…

To think what tech must be like now! Those IRGC kiddies in their speedboats will be meeting their virgins quite rapidly.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2022/jan/15/novak-djokovic-visa-australian-minister-alex-hawke-says-risk-of-civil-unrest-behind-cancellation

Tennis champion Novak Djokovic, who has been described as a risk to “civil unrest”* and a “talisman of anti-vaccination sentiment”, may never get the chance to defend his Australian Open title, facing a three-year ban from the country ahead of a last-ditch court challenge to stay.

Australia’s immigration minister, Alex Hawke, personally cancelled the unvaccinated world No 1’s visa, arguing his presence in Australia could incite “civil unrest” and encourage others to eschew vaccination against Covid-19.

8 Can a major newspaper write a piece which fouls up the language to make it mean exactly the opposite of what was said.
Why yes, yes they can.

So Joker will prevent an outbreak of civil unrest??

There is no point in becoming a republic.

The Mongdom of Austfailure is much more appropriate.

In effect the minister in charge is banning him for 3 years based on “Muh feels”…

Hawke said he accepted Djokovic’s recent Covid-19 infection meant he was a “negligible risk to those around him”, but that he was “perceived by some as a talisman of a community of anti-vaccine sentiment”.

“I consider that Mr Djokovic’s ongoing presence in Australia may lead to an increase in anti-vaccination sentiment generated in the Australian community, potentially leading to an increase in civil unrest of the kind previously experienced in Australia with rallies and protests which may themselves be a source of community transmission.

“Mr Djokovic is … a person of influence and status.

“Having regard to … Mr Djokovic’s conduct after receiving a positive Covid-19 result, his publicly stated views, as well as his unvaccinated status, I consider that his ongoing presence in Australia may encourage other people to disregard or act inconsistently with public health advice and policies in Australia.”

Fun statistic I just calculated:

1) The ACT boasts that 98.6% of its population aged 12+ are ‘double vaxxed’.
2) ~80% of the ACTs 420,000 residents are aged 15+, ie 336,000 (closest age breakdown I could find)
3) 1.4% of 336,000 = 4700 unvaccinated people
4) The current ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated’ has seen nearly 15,000 COVID ‘cases’ in the ACT since the start of the year….thats >3 per dirty unvaxxer!.

Special Ed quoting a pedo approvingly…

Gore Vidal
Boorish, thick-skinned, arrogant and a lifelong sexual boaster, Vidal explained his world-view to an interviewer, “The difference between Italian boys and American boys, is the Italian boys have dirty feet and clean a**holes, while American boys have clean feet and dirty a**holes.” Vidal was a founder and financial donor to the Boston/Boise group that later became NAMBLA. He appeared at NAMBLA fundraising events and he appeared as a defence witness for various NAMBLA members who were prosecuted for pederasty in the 1970s.

In later life, Vidal moved to a villa in Ravello in Italy, where the ages of consent for homosexuality and prostitution are among the lowest in Europe, and took annual holidays in Thailand, a notorious pederasts’ haven. His half-sister Nina Straight, told his biographer Tim Teeman that Vidal was a pedophile who preyed on underage boys and that this was the reason he took holidays in Bangkok. This is confirmed by his nephew, the actor and director Burr Steers, who was very close to Vidal and says the writer was afraid that secrets about his pedophile activities would come out. Steers said Vidal was “terrified that conservative columnist William F. Buckley had evidence that Mr. Vidal had sex with underage boys” — or as Nina Straight put it, “Jerry Sandusky acts.” Vidal spent a lot of time and money on litigation against Buckley for libel and this was a long-running feud. Buckley’s son confirmed that Buckley had kept a filing cabinet full of evidence about Vidal’s illegal activities, but he had destroyed it after Buckley’s death.

3. Is it true that unvaxxed are suffering worse outcomes?

I bet Sancho will be in Japan before Glazey.
I know it’s Corsica not mainland France but while off season quiet life seems pretty normal here.
Sure people wear masks, not so much outside, but there are no testing centres, no vaccination hubs.
And as I mentioned earlier zero interest in vaccination status or even an identification check when I entered France from Italy. Very unlike when I have crossed the border at Ventimiglia and via the train from Turin pre covid, when very stern French police boarded the train. Perhaps they might have been more enthusiastic if anyone looked like a possible illegal immigrant.
I got asked for my green pass when I had lunch yesterday but unlike Italy no interest in scanning a qr code.
Of course neither country has qr codes anywhere.

Concerning the much ridiculed “supply chain disruption” prediction:
He said it would be due to something stupid throwing a spanner in the works. Well, it’s happening.
The “stupid thing” is the mania (driven on by the FMIC and governments) over Omicron. They are essentially trying to track the common cold and make anyone who they find with it stop work.
This IS starting to screw things up big time in the background (spare parts, fuel, food harvesting and distribution, consumables distribution).

Sort it out in the circuit.

No one will fly with that one, he’s had the jab, now he’s got heart problems and won’t fly again.

Trying to tease out anything from the figut=res is a nightmare.

The disease fucks over the elderly.
But the elderly are much more likely to die as vaccines can trigger immune responses as low as 30% in the elderly.
In addition old bodies ‘forget” stuff.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1044532318300678

So if you were 100% serious about protecting the elderly & health compromised you would be vaccinating & confirming it had triggered the immune response.
The ability to do this exists.
https://store.clinicallabs.com.au/store/covid-19-tests/combined-covid-pcr-antibody-test

It might mean serial vaccination for a handful of wrinklies to trigger the promised immunity.

Many of the deaths of the “vaccinaed” are in effect deaths of people who received a vaccine, but have never had their immune response checked.

On the other hand some of the “unvaccinated” will include people with ‘deaths door” conditions which meant they couldnt be given a shot in the first place, the higher the vaccination rate in the community the more concentrated this group are in the stats.

The stats can be fudged any way any turd wants to spin them.
What doesnt change is forcing people to undergo a medical treatment is extraordinarily unethical and a enormous abuse of government powers.

Australia’s supply chain problems were predictable when omicron started spreading in Europe but pre Christmas the powers that be politicians and media were all we don’t know how serious an illness it is.
Seems to me Italy and France very swiftly changed isolation rules for those testing positive, and Italy abolished them altogether for so called close contacts (until symptomatic) so there appears to be no disruption in supply of food etc.
Everywhere I’ve been Rome Cagliari Santa Teresa Gallura and here, supermarket shelves are full.
Australia as has been the case for two years has over reacted, slow to respond to changing circumstances and would rather destroy the economy that achieve any sort of balance.

(calli) Which directly contradicts Hazzard who said at the end of December “Everybody is going to catch covid.” One of those two was lying/exaggerating/stirring the possum.

Historical evidence (1918 Influenza), early trials (the Diamond Princess experiment), and the opinion of Australian Microbiology Prof Ted Steele suggests that only ~20 of the population ever become sick from any new respiratory virus – the other 80% defeating it at the door due to crossover immunity from previous similar infections.

On that basis, one would expect not more than 20% of NSWs 8 million citizens to ‘catch OMICRON’ (less actually due to previous survivor immunity), with quite a proportion of that having minor and unrecognised symptoms.

Having said that, my local experience (attending 2 local households locked in with COVID) is that so far, 7 of the 8 persons involved have got symptomatic COVID after it was brought into the house, so I wonder if the attack rate of the new variant is much higher.

Interestingly, I think I am naturally immune – having had hours of close contact in both house holds without so much as a sniffle and several – PCRs. If I cant jag a +PCR in the next few days, all hope is lost.

Tsunami hits Tonga after ‘catastrophic’ volcano eruption (15 Jan)

Some fine photos, good work to that journo pulling them all together so quickly. It looks like the tsunami was just small enough not to cause really serious inundation, and the volcanic eruption looks like a phreatomagmatic explosion like Krakatau in 1883. The Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha’apai volcano started out as a submarine volcano, and there were some amazing photos of it erupting up through the sea some years ago. Right now it is pretty much at sea level, so it looks like during the recent eruptive episode it had seawater come into the vent. Big steam explosion.

Still possibility of many fatalities, especially since Krakatau didn’t stop with one titanic explosion: it had four of them one after another. This volcano could potentially go off big time in hours or days.

We’ve never made a successful vaccine for a coronavirus before. This is why it’s so difficult

“For those pinning their hopes on a COVID-19 vaccine to return life to normal, an Australian expert in vaccine development has a reality check — it probably won’t happen soon.

The reality is that this particular coronavirus is posing challenges that scientists haven’t dealt with before, according to Ian Frazer from the University of Queensland…”

Re the Jokovic saga:

It has a bit to run yet. Don’t write his team off. First win is the selection of panel of three Federal judges instead of one. Remember the Federal Court us no friend of Liberal governments. If there are grounds to reject Alex Hawke’s decision – they will do it without hesitation.

Personally, I think the reasoning behind his decision is laughable. I mean, really, public order & public health? So many holes it is Swiss cheese. And can you deny a valid medical argument of acquired immunity on the grounds that it might influence others to follow?

What are you drinking? Absinthe?

Woman goes to see her local GP.

“What seems to be the problem?” he asks.

“Well, doctor, it’s very embarrassing but … well … whenever I pass wind, it sounds like a motorcycle!”

“Really?” asks the doctor, leaning forward. “Are you able to provide me with an example?”

Red-faced, the woman cocks her bum, winces, and lets loose a l-o-o-o-o-o-ng blast, which sounds exactly like a motorcycle starting up, revving, then making a high-speed pass.

“See what I mean?” she pleads as the echo dies down. “Is there anything at all you can do?”

The doctor smiles knowingly and sits back in his chair.

“It’s not a real problem” he says reassuringly. “You just have to stop drinking absinthe.”

“But … but … how on earth do you know I like to drink absinthe?”

“Easy”, the doctor smiles.

“Everyone knows absinthe makes the farts go Honda!”

Thank you, thank you very much … I’m here all week. Try the veal.

But that was how to deal with the disease itself, I wasn’t as quick to realise what was about to happen re our social fabric.

When advising someone to “Quit bitching about Australia: either love it or leave it” please be sure to include advice on how an exit visa may be obtained.

This was spoken about the other day.
Firstly (and ignoring the Norks Hermit Kingdom and a couple of others) there is no real requirement for an “exit visa”. Visas are usually issued by the country of destination (in the Razey example, that would be Japan, which he says he can get via spouse I think).
Someone posted here the other day that they had just filled out the paperwork for a three month stay overseas (which is the maximum allowed for on the form).
No problem. Pretty much info only.
Of course, if you are leaving permanently, just tick the three month box and “change your mind” later.
All they give a shit about right now is finding quarantine spots if needed. If you are going for three months or leaving permanently they don’t give a shit.

I’m finding it hard to watch Tucker and Bongino and their appraisal of what the bastard biden and his corrupt lackeys are currently doing to the US; plus the cowardly absence of most of the GOP and even compliance by some of the GOP in the machinations of these left mongrels.

Bongino as I said agrees with me that the mid-terms are in jeopardy because the demorats know in any fair election they will be gutted so they are going to either suspend them or subvert them.

The greatness of Trump is that he revealed and confronted these parasites at the heart of the US. We have no similar person here. Although Pauline, Kelly and a few others are doing their best. So if the capital gets out of it well then it should be a pretty good outcome in light of how big this is. Looks Bikini Atoll level big.

Unfortunately there probably were fishermen and tourist boats closer to the volcano. I don’t like their chances.

1. Show us where you predicted there would be new variants.

JC, as soon as some experts realised that the vaccines were “leaky”, the concern was over new variants.

Variant by definition may not be adequately cover by the current version of the vaccine.

The same Professor Frazer I saw in a TV interview, still on YouTube iirc, that predicted a covid vaccine would be available in about a year.

You mean this one?

Renowned immunologist Professor Ian Frazer says coronavirus must ‘run its course’

Renowned immunologist Professor Ian Frazer says it could take a year for COVID-19 to run its course in Australia, and most Australians will be exposed to the newest coronavirus.

As for:

professor Frazer also appears in Australian federal health videos promoting covid vaccination

Well, plenty in the medical profession have rolled over to get their tummies rubbed.

From a Press Conference on the 3rd of Dec 2020, nearly 2 months before the first of the Vaccines received ‘Provisional Approval’:

The Hon. Greg Hunt MP, Minister for Health: So, as I say, firstly the register, of course, is something which already exists. What we’re doing is making sure that everybody will have full access to their own data but that it’s only those people that have that access. I think that reassurance was very important to those that raised, I think, important questions. Secondly, as we look forward, we will be having a public information campaign, as we should do with vaccination. But one of the surprises this year is that with all the lockdowns and all the challenges of COVID, the five year old immunisation rate went to a record level 94.8 per cent in the June quarter and then up to a record level again in the September quarter of 94.9 per cent for the general Australian population and 97 per cent for Indigenous Australia. So the antivaxxers perhaps are getting more coverage, but they’re having less effect, and so I’ve got to say that we’re aware of them, but frankly, they’re not winning their case. But we’ll continue to prosecute ours. I spoke with Ian Frazer, the great professor Ian Frazer, the chief developer of Gardasil, which is saving lives around the world, and he’s willing to put his name to supporting this vaccination process and many others will be doing it and joining us.

Willing to put his name to it…months before the approval process is complete? A politician spruiking it?
Ok, that’s normal.

Perhaps read what he said before everything got political, and see how it compares with what is panning out.

More good news! What a stunner of a photo. The geo team watching weren’t in any danger (lucky!) whilst being perfectly placed (lucky^2!) and there’s nothing on the sea surface between them and the crater. So looks like the fishermen and tourists were warned away earlier. Also the eruption has mostly gone up not outward, since the volcanic surges only are covering the island itself – which is just a couple of kilometres long. Krakatau was sinking ships five or ten ks away, and one ship ended up several ks inland carried by the tsunami.
