Sal mentioned this below. Unfortunately this scenario repeated many times over and I have noted 4 very long term restaurants that have gone recently. Even some still trading will have huge debts to pay off. Nearly two years ago I spoke with the owner of a premises on the Brisbane river and he was telling me his rent was $25,000 a month even if not open.

The policies of the past two years have caused much devastation to protest us from a virus that is mainly of danger to the elderly with comorbidities.

“There was Five or Six jobs in that restaurant. The family that operated it are gone, nobody knows where”.

Man Arrested in Brooklyn Subway Attack, Charged With Terror (Newsmax, 13 Apr)

The man accused of shooting 10 people on a Brooklyn subway train was arrested Wednesday and charged with a federal terrorism offense after a daylong manhunt and a tipster’s call brought police to him on a Manhattan street.

New York shooting: ‘We got him’ Subway suspect arrested after 24h manhunt (Express, 13 Apr)

The NYPD has said they do not believe the shooting to be an act of terrorism.

From The Daily Telegraph…”Nobody’s Girl” trying to be the good Catholic girl…..

“Fairfield locals accuse Kristina Keneally of using the Catholic Church for votes

The Labor candidate for Fowler has been slammed for turning up to communion after describing the Catholic Church as a “failing and decaying institution”.

Southwest Sydney locals have branded Kristina Keneally “hypocritical” after she turned up to receive communion at a Palm Sunday mass in the heart of Cabramatta, three years after she called the Catholic Church a “failing and decaying institution”.

Photos have emerged of Ms Keneally praying and receiving communion at Sacred Heart Church, Cabramatta, last Sunday at the start of Holy Week, the most important week in the Christian calendar.

While Ms Keneally has always publicly identified as a Catholic and regularly tells the story of meeting her husband at World Youth Day, she has also been a fierce critic of the Vatican.

“After saying that the Catholic Church was ‘a failing and decaying institution’, it seems hypocritical of her to take communion in Cabramatta,” said former Fairfield councillor Zaya Toma.

“It feels like she is just using the Church for votes and underestimating locals.”

Sacred Heart parishioner Tuan Ngoc Trinh said given that Ms Keneally had previously been “consistently against Catholic teachings” her presence raised eyebrows.

“I am not anti-Labor nor am I judging Kristina’s values,” said Mr Tuan.

“However, if she is there for the votes of Fowler with the largest population of Catholics in Sydney’s South-West, then politically, it does not show her firm stance on anything.

“If she cannot be loyal to her Church and its teachings, one would question her policies and loyalty to Anthony Albanese,” he said.

Ms Keneally moved to Liverpool from her Scotland Island home last year to contest the heavily Catholic seat of Fowler for Labor.

In 2019, she appeared on ABC’s Q&A and told the audience, “I have long lost faith in the institution of the Catholic Church and I mourn the loss of my faith community”.

“But I made a decision a few years ago that I could not, as a lay person, continue to prop up a failing and decaying institution with my voluntary labour and my money,” she said.

She has also been a fierce critic of the Church and Church doctrine, having publicly stated her disagreements with Vatican rules on everything from women priests to abortion.

A spokesperson for Ms Keneally said that she could still practice her faith and be a critic of the Church, adding that she had met several Catholic priests since moving to Liverpool last year and attended Mass at Fairfield and Cabramatta.

“Being a Catholic does not preclude Senator Keneally from expressing criticism of and disappointment in the institution of the Church, especially when it comes to the shocking revelations of child sexual abuse and the failure of the institution of the church to respond appropriately to protect children from paedophiles and abusers,” the spokesperson said.”

Worth remembering that this ghastly woman wrote a piece for the Guardian a few years ago titled “Catholicism has done more harm to Australia than Islam.”. The plain truth is that Keneally is worse than a hypocrite, she’s a barefaced, two faced piece of human garbage.

Sean Penn Can’t Quit Ukraine: ‘I’m Now Thinking About Taking Up Arms Against Russia’ (13 Apr)

Left-wing Hollywood star Sean Penn is clearly having trouble leaving his adventures in Ukraine behind him. The Oscar-winning star has revealed he is now considering retuning to fight Russian forces.

Sean Penn expressed his desire to take up arms in a recent interview with Hollywood Authentic magazine.

“Look, my intention is to go back into Ukraine. But I’m not an idiot, I am not certain what I can offer,” he said.

“If you’ve been in Ukraine [fighting] has to cross your mind. And you kind of think what century is this? Because I was at the gas station in Brentwood the other day and I’m now thinking about taking up arms against Russia?

Maybe he’s heard of Darwin Awards and wants one to go with his Oscars.

Simpler times. Better times. The Hun:

In the colony of New South Wales, which included what is now Victoria until the separation of 1851, only the elite were allowed to vote.

Men who owned property worth more than 200 pounds, or who rented property at a rate higher than 20 pounds per annum, were given a ballot.

As a result fewer than 600 people in the Port Phillip District were on the roll.

But thousands more ordinary citizens showed up on polling day to watch the flawed process play out, even booking seats close to the action. And everybody knew who voted for whom.

China Appears to Warn Extended Lockdowns Are Coming Nationwide (12 Apr)

Several Chinese cities appear to have recently prepared their populaces for potential Chinese coronavirus lockdowns in the coming days, indicating the country may see a nationwide spate of lockdowns in the coming weeks, the state-run Global Times reported Monday.

“Considering the lessons from Shanghai’s response to the Omicron resurgence, a number of provinces and cities across China are taking more decisive preventive measures to screen out possible COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] infections through massive nucleic acid testing,” the newspaper observed April 11.

“Some cities are accelerating the construction of Fangcang makeshift hospitals to be well prepared for potential new outbreaks, echoing the country’s dynamic-zero strategy,” the Chinese Communist Party-run Global Times relayed.

This seems crazy since they explicitly say the strain is Omicron, which isn’t much worse than the sniffles for almost everyone who catches it. Even Queen Elizabeth at age 96 only said it made her feel “very tired and exhausted”.

Massive lockdowns like Shanghai would not go down well with the plebs, you’d have to think. Yet it looks like the virus has escaped containment, same as it did here.

Got to wonder if there’s other stuff going on underneath the surface, like the harvest being very bad apparently. Covid is squirrel-of-choice for our government, so it would be no surprise if Xi was using it similarly.

Claims you can “devaccinate” yourself have been circulating on social media, another example of extreme and dangerous misinformation about COVID vaccines.

Methods said to remove COVID vaccines from the body include using snake venom extractors or a type of traditional therapy known as “wet cupping”.

Shanghai Dragon Television, the city’s main TV channel that also broadcasts via satellite to Chinese-speaking audiences globally, announced the decision on social media late on Tuesday night, hours after it was criticised online. Dragon TV said it welcomed “valuable feedback to our work”.

Many in the West assume China operates with fiendish, ant-colony-like efficiency – with the CCP pulling strings everywhere.

The reality is China’s ‘public sector’ is even more of a clown show than what we experience.

Political theatre is even more important to Chinese bureaucrats and administrators than it is here – not just to keep the proles impressed, but to show unswerving dedication to the Party line. Exhibit A: the utter bullshit earthworks display while building a Covid hospital in 10 days.

Lizzie, have you not been keeping track of the evidence from the VAERS system in the USA & also here with AEFI, which indicates serious deficiencies in official reporting of vaccine injuries?

Not only looking at it but also experiencing it with my son, Vicki. I think there is a much higher rate of serious injuries due to the Pfizer vaxx than is reported (sometimes due to a much shorter time period between the first and the second jab than originally required by the provider, due to government pressure and panics). These injuries often subside over time, they are miserable, but are not fatal although they should receive compensation. Deaths clearly attributable, or even arguable, are by and large reported and where the connection is established (as with AZ acute thrombosis with thrombocytopaenia) they should be highly compensated.

Note though that there is also quite a lot of hype around about every report of injury being due to the vaxx, which is not the case. Same for post-vaxx deaths. There is a population injury (e.g. Guillain-Barre syndrome) and sudden cardiac death rate that happens anyway.

If you vaccinate a whole population of course you are going to get vaxx injuries; this, like the anti-vaxxer reaction, simply comes with the territory. Hence no vaxx should be mandatory and people should make their own judgements. My husband and I have made ours. We won’t touch Pfizer, due to its very real cardiac injuries, mostly treatable but perhaps affecting some cardiac deaths in young men (although there is a ‘natural’ rate for these deaths too which needs to be considered). I think Pfizer should be withdrawn now, just a personal view, it may have served a purpose earlier on in this epidemic (which was a real ‘new disease’ epidemic although not one with a high death rate for all age groups). We waited for Novavax for a booster. And I can see no epidemiological reason for population vaxxing of the under twelves. Even the under 18’s get a questionmark from me. Now that Omicron is here I would say that no vaccination against Covid is important except for at-risk groups. Those like me and my Dear One.

I think I am a realist here, not ‘in denial’. Millions upon millions have coped with these vaxxes without incident. Some few vs these millions haven’t. Don’t agree with vaccinations or don’t want these ones, don’t have them. Drawn the short straw and are seriously injured? You should get compensation, as with any previous vaccination.

Life. Is. Not. Without. Risk. And we all die.

I know my views are unpopular here, but I have a right to express them. I am not unfeeling about those who refuse this vaxx, indeed many are my friends whom I have never stopped hugging, and I think Covid has been badly handled by most world governments who have too quickly danced to Big Pharma’s tune. I see my approach as a rationalist one.

Sinclair, we might note, on the Old Cat during 2020 had no doubts: get the vaxx, he always advised. It was wise advice then. It is less so now that SARS-Cov-2 has mutated down (so far) and better vaxxes and promising treatments are on the way.

Let’s look at one of the great denialists here and establish why she is.

Death doesn’t subside over time, and many of the vaccine side effects do not.
What is consciously avoided is the fact she doesn’t know about the future and tries to assume that if you’ve got this far, you’ve made it.
With all the evidence coming in, the truth is your ticking time bomb just hasn’t gone off yet.
Denialists always take this approach…..if you’ve made it this far you are going to be fine while all reports not from those trying to kill you say otherwise.

Lizzie also prefers reports from those trying to kill her.

Deaths clearly attributable, or even arguable, are by and large reported and where the connection is established (as with AZ acute thrombosis with thrombocytopaenia) they should be highly compensated.

Should the perps be hung drawn and quartered for what is working out to be Genocide, as you were told it would be, by all us Nanna killers?

Note though that there is also quite a lot of hype around about every report of injury being due to the vaxx, which is not the case. Same for post-vaxx deaths. There is a population injury (e.g. Guillain-Barre syndrome) and sudden cardiac death rate that happens anyway.

Saying “it is not the case” doesn’t make it not the case, and when you look at this paragraph, it is illogical.
The explosive number of young cardiac arrests and heart attacks ONLY IN THE JABBED gets simple wiped away by Lizzie as “not the case”
You tell yourself that Lizzie, but when there are boosters coming try to hold back convincing yourself all is fine because in doing so you may convince others.
Want that on your conscience?

If you vaccinate a whole population of course you are going to get vaxx injuries; this, like the anti-vaxxer reaction, simply comes with the territory.

Absolute bullshit

For a start whole populations are not “vaccinated” with this poison compared to mumps and other vaccines which are actual vaccines and if those actual vaccines had caused anywhere near the death these have they would have been pulled.
The entire vaccines given since vaccination first began, combined have caused nothing like the numbers of side effects we are seeing.

FMD.
Honestly…hello…where’s the Lizzie we used to know…..hello?

I think Pfizer should be withdrawn now, just a personal view, it may have served a purpose earlier on in this epidemic (which was a real ‘new disease’ epidemic although not one with a high death rate for all age groups). We waited for Novavax for a booster. And I can see no epidemiological reason for population vaxxing of the under twelves. Even the under 18’s get a questionmark from me. Now that Omicron is here I would say that no vaccination against Covid is important except for at-risk groups. Those like me and my Dear One.

Lizzie knows it’s not just Pfzer causing deaths.
She knows that.

I think I am a realist here, not ‘in denial’. Millions upon millions have coped with these vaxxes without incident.

SO FAR YOU GREAT SPUD..it’s hardly been a fucking year….god woman!!

Millions haven’t.

Some few vs these millions haven’t. Don’t agree with vaccinations or don’t want these ones, don’t have them.

Says the woman about to leave Australia flashing her good Nazi pass from being vaxxed.

“If you don’t want one don’t get one”

Drawn the short straw and are seriously injured? You should get compensation, as with any previous vaccination.

If you get crook after your booster should you be laughed at and refused a bed like the jabbed were claiming should happen to the unjabbed.
Now the jabbed are filling the hospitals?

Why should you be compensated when in the same breath you claim it as a “choice”

Life. Is. Not. Without. Risk. And we all die.

How heroic….until your holding your chest in the departure lounge, ………

Recall that AZ was considered too risky, even by the guru Dr Swan. Pfizer was the alternative. Now, Novavax is the solution. So perhaps all those millions of Pfizers in store could be rebranded, without cheating, since it’s definitional variations that are the go. I’m thinking, the Pfizer might well no longer be called a vax. It can be be redefined as a sure and certain booster, serialised. There, take that, Novavax. Clearly, I need to stop wasting time.

What I say for Pfizer goes for Moderna too, and all ‘genetic’ mRNA (or even the AZ DNA) approaches to vaccination until they are far more proven in the longer term. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to prove the electricity grid is not actually being run by a psychopath termite colony rather than by intelligent human beings

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2022/apr/14/early-closure-of-australias-largest-coal-fired-plant-could-create-electricity-shortages-without-grid-upgrades
Plans to accelerate the closure of Australia’s biggest coal-fired plant have the potential to create electricity shortages in three states unless enhancements to the grid proceed and new generation and storage capacity is added, the market operator said.

The shortfall assessment is contained in an updated electricity statement of opportunities (Esoo) report. It was prompted by Origin Energy’s February decision to bring forward closure of its 2,880-megawatt Eraring plant in New South Wales by seven years, to 2025.

The Australian energy market operator (Aemo) said that taking into account only existing and committed developments:

NSW (where possible shortfall has been advanced by four years) faced a reliability gap of 590MW capacity from 2025-26.
Victoria faced a gap of 330MW from 2028-29.
Queensland faced a gap of 770MW from 2029-30.

The ultimate in “broken windows create jobs/dig holes and fill them in again” economics.

Destroy a Billion dollar asset to spend a couple of billion on renew-balls energy.

But at least power is cheaper…right??
Aemo’s alert comes ahead of the release of its quarterly energy dynamics report at the end of April, which is likely to show electricity prices continuing to rise.

NSW plant closures include the Vales Point power station, scheduled to shut in 2029-30. Victoria’s potential crunch comes with the 2028-29 closure of the Yallourn power plant in the Latrobe Valley. And Queensland’s possible shortfall is related to reduced availability of supplies from NSW, Aemo said.

But the risk of generation gaps should decrease: NSW alone is anticipated to have another 1.7GW of large-scale wind and solar farms and new grids links operating by 2025.

Vote Psychopath termite colony #1

Dr. Swann who hasn’t practised medicine for years and has no epidemiological qualifications, and that silly and very unqualified hospital-administrator woman heading up health in Queensland both dissed most effectively at a very crucial time what now turns out to have been a very good reliable vaxx with only one truly serious side-effect – thrombosis with thrombocytopoenia. All else was treatable and recoverable. If AZ had been more widely used the more numereous and concerning disasters of Pfizer could have been avoided. I was glad my 18 year old grandson, deciding to be vaxxed, opted for AZ during the Pfizer ‘shortage’, sailing through with no problems, same for my youngest son. There are many like Lizzie – God bless her because I feel she is essentially a good person. But it is hard to cope with. Virtually all of my friends are vaccinated. Some don’t have the intrinsic inclination to question authority. Others have knowingly chosen convenience and personal pleasure (to travel, go to the gym, theatre etc) over safety. Some have particularly disappointed me – such as the intelligent, thoughtful ones who have freely conceded that prematurely released (let alone mandated) novel vaccine technology is likely to have future adverse effects on the immune system.

But I guess what, deep down, upsets me is that so many bright, caring people were prepared to countenance not only the persecution of the unvaccinated, but damage to the trust that we all have in our historic freedoms. Most still do not understand what the credible long term effects this might have on our democratic institutions.

You know, I often think back on my experience of the Canberra freedom rally. Maybe a hundred thousand citizens or more. And they were not from the latte loving, theatre going, OS travelling friends and acquaintances from inner and the harbour suburbs of Sydney. No – they were average Aussies – families mostly – often with kids and dogs in tow. They may not have had the “privilege” of a university education (lucky them!), but, by God, they understood that they have been duped. I suspect that is these people, if any, who will continue to value the freedoms that our predecessors died for.

Putin’s propaganda playbook shows how an army of fake fact-checkers is sowing doubt and confusion

It took about 5 seconds of reading for the first red flag to come up:

It was civilian investigators from Bellingcat — who played a significant role in linking Russia to the downing of MH17 — who first noticed something awry about the post.

Bellingcat, eh? “Civilian investigators”, eh? So they aren’t a bunch of deep state-connected hacks? Okay, noted. And what was their big gotcha, I’m sure you’re asking. That a video posted by one of the Donbass leaders telling the women and children to evacuate because the Ukrainians were about to start shelling was filmed TWO DAYS BEFORE the date he said it was!! Oh wow, great sleuthing work there. Is there no end to Putin’s dastardly lies? And here I was thinking the pertinent question would be ‘did the Ukrainians start shelling?’ but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The answer must be no because the guy who posted the evacuation video said the date was 18 Feb but it was actually recorded on 16 Feb. Okay, I don’t need to hear anything more. Putin bad, Russia bad, Zelensky good, Ukraine good. This lie proves it beyond all doubt.

You might be thinking what the hell does it matter if a video instructing civilians to evacuate on 18 Feb was actually filmed on 16 Feb but released on 18 Feb. You might say that the Ukrainians *did* crank up their campaign against civilians in the Donbass around that time and he was right to evacuate the vulnerable. But you’re not Miss Marple over at Bellingcat, so what do you know.

Anyway, that’s the leading example of a huge lie characteristic of “Putin’s propaganda playbook” the article’s premised upon. Then it counters with a devastating truth bomb that literally no one has ever heard before:

“Russia tried to build the foundation of its invasion of Ukraine on a lie — such as declaring the country, run by a Jewish president, had a Nazi problem — and it has shown no sign of changing course.”

This is when I stopped reading.

Imagine being this journalist. Imagine being so clueless that you don’t even realise you’re the one spreading misinformation, you’re the puppet, you’re being used to spread a fake agenda, you’re doing precisely what you accuse your enemy of…in fact, your singing from ‘Putin’s propaganda playbook’ is pitch-perfect. You’re a very well trained soldier in the army of fake fact-checkers. Well done on confirming the terrible lie about that video filmed on 16 Feb. Epic takedown, one for the ages. Fact CHECKED, Putin!

This guy’s, like, the best journalist ever. No wonder the ABC is so lavishly funded. We need to pay big bucks to keep this kind of talent here otherwise he’ll be snapped up by the Washington Post and become the next Woodward or Bernstein or some shit.

The year of collapsing athletes: 890 athletes collapse or die and counting… (14 Apr)

Given that it’s a graph of only 2021 and the first few months of this year we shouldn’t draw definite conclusions about what it means.

Though I do tend to accept Jo Nova’s take:

The rise in mid 2021 start at the same time a massive experimental medical program starts. It might be coincidence, but if it’s normal, they would be saying so, with open statistics and data, not shutting down the conversation, and sacking football managers.

Bruce of Newcastle

The reason why the data might be reasonably accurate is that there’re a bunch of radio intercept* and equipment sites who take pride in using Google Maps to geolocate stuff. With photos of destroyed and captured equipment from both sides that’s fairly easy to do. So if you ID a dead T-72 with unit designation you can tell where that unit was on that day. Geeks will be geeks.

* The Russian spread-channel sets didn’t work well for a range of reasons too long to mention here (but well known), so the guys in the BTGs have been using civvie radios in the clear out of desperation. Vegan diets are healthier and safer for dogs, study suggests

What crap! Dogs are meat eaters, with some vegetarian content. This is biology, for heavens sake. They evolved from wild dogs who killed an animal and ate it whole – including the vege contents of the animal’s stomach.

My daughter has a lovely little dog (Japanese Spitz) which the vet advised her (no sponsorship from dog food companies, of course) to feed VERY expensive brand of dried dog “food”. The poor little creature has existed on this for her entire life – except when I look after her (!). Sure, she is healthy – although recently same vet advised that this 8 year old dog have most of her teeth extracted because they were decaying. And this is despite one of the arguments the vet originally gave for “dried” food was that it kept the dog’s teeth healthy!

When the family goes on holiday, we frequently mind the dog on the farm. Here we treat her to cooked chicken (boneless) with its broth mixed in with a little of the horrid dried food. She “wolf’s” it down – no pun intended! Never does she get “the runs” which my daughter insists she will get if fed anything other than the dried food.

I am an animal lover. Animals have been an essential part of my life since I was a child. It angers me to see companion animals deprived of the life and diet that is natural to them.

Vegan dogs, what rubbish.

My adored Blackie, who never had a sick day in his life (died when he was hit by a car after going deaf) came to us when we were pretty poor. He was fed on cooked rice with a handful of kangaroo meat mixed through, topped with our scraps and unusable leftovers. He also got beef bones from the butcher, a source of endless pleasure which also kept his teeth in tip top condition.

As a Lab/Kelpie cross, he had your typical Lab appetite, and hoovered up every crumb of his dinner in a couple of minutes. Self medicated his guts by eating grass occasionally. His coat shone, and he was a happy chappie. Never spent a minute at the vet in his whole life. Vegan dogs? Pah!

Mind you, there is an even worse subset of the vegan evangelicals who try to make their cats vegan. Now, that is really defying reality, not that this is a problem for nutters like them.

Memo to Adam Bandt – don’t smoke your lawn clippings before giving a Press conference..

Bandt proposes $500m for ‘green’ steel industry
Amaani Siddeek
AMAANI SIDDEEK

Greens leader Adam Bandt has proposed $500 million for a “green” steel industry to back a “zero-pollution” manufacturing industry in Australia.

Mr Bandt said that developing a strong, local manufacturing industry was essential as Australia moves towards a “zero-pollution” target.

“We’re still going to need steel, need it for wind turbines, we need it for electric
vehicles and we could be making it right here in Australia,” Mr Bandt told the ABC this morning.

“There’s lots of places including here in the Illawarra where they really know steel and we need government support to get the technology up to commercial level and then build a big green steel industry right here in Australia that will support
thousands of jobs and create significant revenue as we not only use it here locally, but export it to the rest of the world.”

The Greens’ proposal focuses on developing a manufacturing industry that doesn’t rely on coal.

“It’s critical that we do this because using coal for steel is a big chunk of the world’s pollution,” he said.

“In other countries, they’re already using other methods including hydrogen to make steel in a way that doesn’t pollute the atmosphere – the opportunity is ours for the taking here in Australia.”

Mr Bandt acknowledged that part of a transition to a coal-free manufacturing industry meant securing jobs and wages for coal miners who would lose their livelihoods.

Mr Bandt suggested that a transition focus could see coal miners transition into other mining positions for other resources like minerals and ores.

“We owe a debt of thanks to coal and gas workers for helping power our country and create the products that we all use, but we just know now that we can’t keep going with coal and gas,” he added.

“But we need to do it in a way that supports people and communities who are currently dependent on coal and gas.”

Ex lefty playwright sums up the Yank constitution very well.
https://www.villagevoice.com/2008/03/11/david-mamet-why-i-am-no-longer-a-brain-dead-liberal/

The Constitution, written by men with some experience of actual government, assumes that the chief executive will work to be king, the Parliament will scheme to sell off the silverware, and the judiciary will consider itself Olympian and do everything it can to much improve (destroy) the work of the other two branches. So the Constitution pits them against each other, in the attempt not to achieve stasis, but rather to allow for the constant corrections necessary to prevent one branch from getting too much power for too long.

This morning I went for a walk through a leafy part of Wentworth and whilst walking I noticed the many Allegra Da Big Spenda signs pinned onto the fences and balconies of mansions and whilst I did notice a few Dave Sharma signs, there aren’t nearly as many as the Da Big Spenda signs.

I’ve heard similar stories about other electorates currently targeted by the vermin that is “Voices Of’ or as I prefer to call them, “Grifters Of”. Apparently there are signs for the “independents” (cough) all over the electorates targeted, which as we already know are only Liberal electorates…and curiously were once among the safest Liberal electorates in the country, such as Wentworth, Warringah, Higgins, Kooyong, Curtin, Flinders and a few others, all now targeted by the same wealthy grifters, taking their cues and dosh from the sinister and very nasty Simon Holmes a Court. And I thought to myself how a spineless Liberal party has spent almost two decades refusing to fight back against the nonsense that is climate change, kowtowing to the left in general and so we’ve now reached a point where we have a Liberal party infested with left-wing moderates ranging from Sharma to Allen to Bragg, and not only do these “Liberals” refuse to fight for traditional Liberal beliefs, they also actively promote progressive gunk such as SSM, renewables, net zero emissions, they campaign against the Religious Freedom Bill (clearly “religious freedom” isn’t something modern moderate Liberals believe in), they spruik transgenderism and a thought gripped me….why on earth am I feeling sorry for Sharma? Stop there Cassie of Sydney, you should feel no sympathy for Sharma, he’s helped to destroy the Liberal Party of Australia and everything it once stood for. Does Sharma and his ilk have any understanding and awareness that by capitulating to the left on almost every issue, all they’ve done is to make themselves an even more attractive target for left, be it the Greens or the grifters dressed up as independents, to come after and destroy.

The Liberal party will reap what is sows. Whilst I don’t want Allegra Da Big Spenda as my local member, I also don’t want a lightweight moderate who refuses to stand for any core Liberal beliefs.

The state breakdowns have Labor leading 55-45 in New South Wales (unchanged on last week, a swing of around 7.5%), 58-42 in Victoria (in from 60.5-39.5, a swing of around 5%), 50.5-49.5 in Queensland (unchanged, a swing of around 9%), 63.5-36.5 in Western Australia (out from 59-41, a swing of fully 19%), 53-47 in South Australia (in from 56-44, a swing of around 2.5%) and 69-31 in Tasmania. The sample size for the poll was 1384.

I note large swings in NSW and Vic still mightn’t unseat Libs so will be interesting to watch Queensland and South Australia. The Libs look toast in Tassie and WA.
