Then decided to go and vote in Briggs Street which had unaccountably become “Bridge Street” on the GPS so we had a tour of Tropical Kellyville before realising we were in the wrong place. Having arrived, we ran the gauntlet of noisy political spruikers to lodge our absentee vote. For all the good it will do.
I have visited two nurseries and I have shopped. The orchid place was unbelievable. I have acquired some ground orchids, vandas and two small cattleyas – this is what typifies plant lovers – we live in hope. Also those ixoras and some other beautiful foliage plants, so beautiful in the tropics. I am now riding gunshot on the washing machine while the Beloved hunts and gathers. I think fish may be on the menu tonight. 😀

Omicron is NOT a normal cold or flu.
The symptoms and the development of the virus are quite unique. Not dangerous, unless one has severe comorbidities.* Not even particularly miserable, as is a good old fashioned cold. But no matter how loudly Struth shrieks, it is NOT a cold.
*I have three major comorbidities, including blood cancer. I didn’t need to spend even one day in bed with Omicron.
