James Morrow on Outsiders noted that Perrottet has changed his tune from 2018 when he had an opinion piece in the Daily Telegraph mocking the ALP policy to fly the Aboriginal flag on the Harbour Bridge, saying that they should put a big screen on top of the bridge which could show the ALP’s latest trendy message and they could call it the Virtue Signal.
Outsiders this morning said $25k to install the flag on the bridge.

So why does Russia and China have Nuclear Power?

Hardly. You don’t need a nuke power program to make nuclear weapons. The Iranians are enriching U-235 as did the USA in WW2. The USA made the plutonium 239 for Trinity and the Nagasaki bomb in plutonium production reactors at Hanford. Power production was heat as a by product and not all that much of it.
Read up on how Stalin got the bomb. Dig hole with bulldozer. Take bunch of zeks. Stack bricks of natural uranium (oxide I’d guess) interleaved with graphite bricks around cadmium rods attached to A frame over hole. Cadmium rods attached to rope running over pulley on A frame. Have some zeks pull cadmium rods out slowly while you monitor the fissions. After three weeks, re- insert rods. Wait a while then have zeks dismantle pile. Dissolve uranium bricks in nitric acid to separate out Pu-239. If you leave it run longer you get other undesirable isotopes of Pu.
Power production leaves the fuel in the reactor for a year to 18 months.
Proliferation as an excuse not to use nuclear power is bullshit. Any government wants the bomb, they will get it.

Re inflation, the gov via the reserve bank gives heaps of money to banks and people they like, eventually the money gets to those at the bottom and so much money chasing limited goods etc makes for price rises, I think that’s right. I don’t understand how the cure works ie interest rate increases. Those at the bottom didn’t get much of the money and when they did those at the top had already bought up almost everything they could, so those at the bottom have to pay a Lot more of their income on interest payments to the banks that gave the money to already wealthy people in the first place? Is that how it works?
Next how does the money then get taken out of circulation? If this is a dumb question I don’t care I want to know.

Zipster:
Now I want to see the definitions.
“Reasonable” is not a definition because we have seen the governments idea of “Reasonable”.
Reserve Bank “open market” operations; selling government bonds at attractive rates to banks and financial institutions soaks up liquidity and raises interest rates, less money for business and home loans, banks love it as they get a better return on their funds; buying bonds will inject liquidity as the banks now have more free cash to loan to business and home buyers, and will lower interest rates (“quantitative easing”). The latter is with newly created money.
Increasing interest rates hurts everyone who has an exposure, and it hurts the poor the most, and is usually used by the Reserve Bank to dampen down asset price inflation ( mostly property, but also business activity). It is a blunt tool but one of the few available to government to control the economy.

Because it is an employment-related benefit, it will almost certainly be assessed as a reportable fringe benefit. Its “grossed up” value (which converts it into the equivalent of pre-tax income) will then appear on their Group Certificate, and be taxed.

You’re talking about the money supply. The money supply at one single point in time is the result of past Reserve bank actions and it achieves this either through direct injections into the banking system or through open market operations.
Money goes back to the RBA if the RBA buys bonds for currency resulting in a liquidity injection.

He’s very good which is why brOSINT hates his guts.
Really, according to the report: “We lost about 50%. This is about 1300 infantry fighting vehicles, 400 tanks, 700 artillery systems,”
Oryx, from the link,
Tanks (194, of which destroyed: 84, damaged: 4, abandoned: 8, captured: 97)
Oryx has missed over half UKR tank losses;
Armoured Fighting Vehicles (88, of which destroyed: 33, abandoned: 4, captured: 52)
Infantry Fighting Vehicles (135, of which destroyed: 73, damaged: 3, abandoned: 9, captured: 50)
Armoured Personnel Carriers (67, of which destroyed: 23, damaged: 1, abandoned: 3, captured: 40)
Infantry Mobility Vehicles (104, of which destroyed: 35, damaged: 1, abandoned: 1, captured: 67)
Here they’ve missed over 2/3rds of UKR losses and I’m being generous by widening the vehicles included;
Towed Artillery (34, of which destroyed: 11, damaged: 3, abandoned: 3, captured: 17)
Self-Propelled Artillery (40, of which destroyed: 16, damaged: 7, abandoned: 1, captured: 16)
Multiple Rocket Launchers (19, of which destroyed: 14, captured: 5)
Wow, here they missed over 85% of ATY losses.
The desperation of brOSINT is obvious in that linked tweet. Anyone that followed that story could see that. The T-62s have been given to the DPR and LPR.

Happy for me to continue, Rabz?
Brown undies of the no Whitecard confirmed.
Sad.
jeebus.
reading the comments on the twitter thread
these people don’t let reality temper their enthusiasm do they?
it’s a cult
Mega glass jaw, Pansy.
Rabz – Watch where you stray my friend.
Interesting band.
They had a puff piece on Kean in today’s dead tree Tele.
The propositioning messages to a fellow MP appear to have gone to the forgettory. Which tells you all you need to know about Kean.
Entrusted with my good self as it is.
Are you worried I’m going to on sell it or something?
Otherwise, Eggles, you’ve completely lost me.
So let’s hear some sound in seventy cities. The mooing you hear is Prince Tampon Chilla Big Ears fitting a methane mask and dung sack on his cows, who, unsurprisingly, are not that happy about it. 😕
ah yes – that wonderful FBT. Paid by the employer – in their case, the taxpayer.
Either live in the house, rent it out, sell it or give it away.
It’s a house in a community, not a Castle on your 16 perch Republic.
As for AirBNB etc., they’re eating Licensed Venue’s lunch for free, they can start paying now.
“it’s a cult”
Yes…made up of mostly females who no doubt badgered their husbands/partners to vote Teal. This I know, I live in a Teal electorate and I witnessed the whole disturbing phenomenon. As for Daniel and Ryan, I think they’re both sinister and dangerous, it’s just as well they don’t have the balance of power whereas Allegra Da Big Spenda, here in Wentworth, is just a privileged eastern suburbs babbling moron.
Speaking of the “balance of power”, this is just my take but I reckon Svengali Simon was convinced that he and his Stepford Gals would have the balance of power after the election and he would be able to wield considerable power. He didn’t factor in that the Liberals would lose bigtime and that it would be win by Labor. So he and his Stepford Gals are left marooned for the next three years desperatly trying to make themselves look relevant.

And now, Cats – it is Pizza Time. 🙂
Yet again, there will be a mysterious absence of a certain sweet tropical fruit among the toppings.
The reasons for which do not need to be stated here.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke..
G&T
Eggy, why are you so angry? And mean?
I can’t tell you how shattered I was when you accused me of being Grigory’s sockie.
Still sobbing. (Sniff.)

The Tigers really do suck.

Take it like a man Rabz.
Momma Sed (2008)
Appears you can buy the wine on line, I had a look at his winery website.
I screwed up.
It was :
The perfection of imperfection.
Abo flag on the harbour bridge? Exactly why? What other country flies two flags, to which the population should pledge allegience?
Will salaries be adjusted to account for the value of this benefit that is not available to non public sector workers?
Sounds like a Fringe Benefit to me.
FBT is paid by the employer. When it was initaially designed it was to be paid by the wmployee, then the Pollies realised they would be paying it on meals and cheap booze in the Parliamentary dining roomand changed it.
Bidenomics [and Albonomics too.

State LNP under the breeder, really green kean, showing they’re just woke light with the flag crap. Minns in 10 months I guess.
We should actually thank eggster for being one of protagonists in possibly the most entertaining three days in blog history.
When he and another blogster went day and night for three days threatening to take each other to some virtual blog carpark and beat the living suitcase out of each other.
Neither thought of the obvious geographical barrier to the proposed stoush, given they lived 800 kms apart.
Which just heightened the entertainment value for me.
Alas, my amusement was not shared by Sinc, who shut the place for a week.
Now, who was the other one involved in that stoush?
FBT was another Keating brainfart. It wasn’t needed. They just needed to enforce the existing law whihc was being ignored with company cars available on weekends for private use etc. Just go through one largish company and the money would have been collected.
Err, he did wut?
The trailer looked very good.
I’ve never read any of them, but my brother is a SF&F and Reacher fan. He also paints armies, but that’s another thing. Anyway I’m at his house and we’re talking sci fi then we arrive at his bookcase full of Reachers. Um, yeah, they’re fun he says, slightly embarrassed. He’s a fine brother. The trailer looks like fun.
Pizza night here too.
No paw-paw on mine either.
There isn’t a lot of love for the housing-for-teachers brain fart on Fauxfacts. A surprise, as the comments there invariably run very left.
Causing the Perfesser to take some drastic action.

Umm…yes, it’ll be another repeat of what happened in South Australia earlier this year. A green progressive Liberal Party swept from power.
brutal indeed

Gateway drug for model trains.
Most of those railway folks look on rather enviously when you present a model painted upwith every highlighting, drybrushing and weathering trick you know, and makes their otherwise nicely built wagons and locos look a little bit too garish and toy-like…
I wouldn’t normally laugh at an old man falling off a bike but the footage of the Sniffer in Chief riding the bike, then stopping and falling sideways with the bike is hilarious.
Do the poor have large, overstretched mortgages?
Inflation hurts the poor most, and benefits large debtors.
How do you cut inflation without increasing rates? By cutting government spending! It is also the only sustainable way to ensure rates are low over a prolonged period of time.
Needs a refresher course in Gravity Awareness.
