I think the narrative is changing. You can see Governments now very reluctant to mention work mandates now despite huge ramping of promotion of 4th shot. This is obviously because they can sense the resistance. Nearly 40% of Qld have not had the 3rd jab and that means no longer considered fully vaccinated. Then amongst those who have taken the 3rd they would know many only did so due to coercion.
I have noted comments that I did not think would get approved are now getting through.

I wrote yesterday that Western leaders don’t have the capacity for evil to use famine as a political tool, but Putin is another sort of creature altogether. It seems his plan is to blakmail the West – or some of its weaker leaders – into withdrawing sanctions by withholding Ukrainian grain from export. This will lead to famine in parts of MENA and set off another migrant crisis.
Then why isn’t the west encouraging a ceasefire and negotiations instead of prolonging the agony propping up Zelensky?

Prince Phil was Sword of Honour in his year at Naval college – or would have been had the course not been cut short due to hostilities having commenced.
During the war, (in which he served in every theatre) he came up with an anti-aircraft measure to protect a group of ships. Not something often achieved by a dunce. (Mentioned in despatches for this)
He was on track (but how will we ever know) to become Commander of the Royal Navy when George VI expired, and was then relegated to the role of silent consort for the rest of his life.
He had the foresight to see that televising the coronation, & filming/televising their lives was the way to popularise (i.e. save) the monarchy. Not the act of a dunderhead.
Chilla is extremely intelligent. This is his problem. He has a very active mind without being able to apply it or challenge himself in any way. (He’s also apparently hung like a Jack Donkey & has jackhammer-like stamina)

That would grant Putin a measure of victory.
Things are going to have to get much worse before that happens.
In the meantime, I think Putin sees some weaknesses in W. Europe he can exploit.
And abandoning Zelensky is exactly what Putin expects the West to do.
He discerns a pattern in Western behaviour of abandoning allies and pulling out when things get tough. And he’s not wrong.

However grain shipment attempted was seized en route.
Leave it either Putin makes some money from Uke grain or putin holds back on exporting grain as it will be taken and (probably?) the proceeds of the sale go to the Uke government.

From Table 1.
Standardised mortality rate by vaccination status, all causes, 2022
Month / Unvaccinated / Ever Vaccinated
Jan / 1812 / 1085
Feb / 1384 / 1016
Mar / 1232 / 992
Apr / 1205 / 1009
May / 873 / 823
Deaths ‘involving covid-19’ – whatever that means
Jan / 585 / 110
Feb / 259 / 76
Mar / 184 / 74
Apr / 205 / 97
May / 78 / 36
That above link seems to have considered “Second dose > 6 months ago” (106.3 in May) as fully vaccinated, whilst ignoring the “Third dose or booster, less than 21 days ago” (no deaths in May) and “Third dose or booster, at least 21 days ago” (33.1 in May) groups
That’s shorter, at least, than the 78 word definition Health Secretary Brendan Murphy provided to Sen. Antic.

I wondered if multiple vaccinated took longer to eliminate the Corona virus from their body, and thus could be “shedding” even when not presenting with symptoms. It seems that this is so.

The moral of the tale is to pick your cruise.
The first one I went on was a river cruise A to B – two weeks, off every day for a good look around. Excellent food, entertainment and a pretty good lot of passengers, mostly Aussies.
Second one was Queen Elizabeth, eastern Med. Again, no days “at sea”, a port every day, sometimes in port for two days eg. Istanbul. Upmarket, medium sized ship, older, well-heeled passengers.
I wouldn’t like to be stuck for days on end at sea, or on a ship full of drop kicks. Grim. Also, swimming in public pools however well sanitised isn’t for me. Zero novelty.
Like Vicki, my preferred holiday is to pick up a car and drive, provided I can decipher the road signs. Always a lot of fun and the Beloved and I rarely come to blows (except for the centre of Madrid, which is a whole other story). 🙂

There must be a lot of money to be made in housing sub-division construction! .. on the hill above part of the bike track I ride at Pemulwuy/Greystanes they have been cutting levels for the past 18 months for a new housing housing estate and everytime we have had heavy rain the hillside subsides and slides down onto the bike track & surrounding bush .. they clear it up & back to work ..
How you get permission to build on a hill that keeps collapsing because you’ve removed all the bush that was providing stability thru its root system I’ve no idea but also given that its been 18 months and it looks along, long while before they’ll ever get enuf confidence to construct even the roadways means someone has gotta have deep pockets to keep going or they’ve committe dsooo much they can’t afford to quit…!

On cruises.
Have been on two in my life.
Blue Lagoon in Fiji back last century.
Small boats. Good crew. Lotta fun.
Went on another one in Croatia a few years ago. Again, relatively small boat (~ 50 pax + crew).
If there is one dickhead on a boat that size, they become very difficult to avoid.
There was, and he was.
An Aussie, unfortunately.
Fifteen going on 40-ish, with his pushing 60 English bride. Bragged about himself being the gardener and marrying the lady of the house. Not a great catch, really.
Just made an arse of himself at every turn, and didn’t quite get “Fuck off!”
Dinner and lunch were served in a large common area at tables for four. After a couple of days, he and his bride were dining alone whilst others squashed themselves onto other tables to avoid him.
Towards the end he made a big deal of diving off the deck (right next to the warning sign not to do it) after loudly talking about it for two hours.
He climbed back aboard and asked the Cap’n what he thought of it.
He shrugs
“Is your neck to break”, he says. “No problems for me. I have your waiver paper.”
Snort, cackle.
Anyhow, the moral is, if we go cruising again, it won’t be on a boat with a capacity of 5,000, nor will it be on one with a capacity of 50 either.

How do you know this?
Andrew “Rexona” Windsor told him.
The NSW top prosecutor’s office has put out a new guide telling its employees to ask for people’s pronouns, claiming it’s “more correct and inclusive” to say someone is assigned male or female at birth and that there are such people as “pansexuals”.
The woke Inclusive Language Guide, dated June 2022, was created by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to support “people of diverse genders and sexualities, community and celebrate diversity”.
It also tells its legal eagle staff that “partner and spouse are examples of inclusive language rather than husband and wife”.
And forget about “ladies and gentlemen” — NSW top lawyers are instructed that “saying ‘hello everyone’ is more inclusive”, especially when sending emails.
The advice around pronouns states: “If you’re unsure of someone’s pronoun, you should respectively (sic) and privately ask ‘Can I ask what pronoun you use?’.”
“In written communication, if unsure of a person’s title, simply don’t include one — use their first and last names — gender neutral titles such as Dr can always be used.”
One Nation MP Mark Latham has raised the issue with Attorney-General Mark Speakman and cites the current Chris Dawson murder trial, saying it was “thankful” that the prosecutor in that case was not following the guide because it would have confused matters to be speaking about partners instead of wives.
“It would have been absurd to be talking about first partner and second partner in that case,” Mr Latham said.
“Nobody in the court would describe one of the daughters as a person assigned a girl at birth. If they did, it would be laughable.”
Mr Latham questioned the appointment of current director Sally Dowling, accusing her of being distracted by “woke word games” instead of making sure paedophiles don’t get out on bail, following a string of revelations in The Daily Telegraph about bail loopholes.
“The fact this language control PC monstrosity is a priority for her is a distraction from her real job,” he said.
“The public doesn’t expect the prosecutors to have definitions about pansexuality and all this sort of woke nonsense.
“The three definitions the public wants are criminal, conviction and incarceration.”
Direct of the free market think-tank Institute of Public Affair’s Foundations of Western Civilisation Dr Bella d’Abrera also questioned the guide.
“This is a ridiculous attempt to curtail free speech by dictating which words we can and cannot use,” she said.
“It is worrying that the ODPP appears to be more interested in woke virtue signalling and ‘social engineering’ than it is prosecuting serious offences in NSW.”
“The ODPP should focus on its core business and leave radical gender theory to university Gender Studies departments.”
Mr Latham argued the guide had caused unrest among the highly qualified professional lawyers within the DPP, did not like being told to adopt “bland, irrelevant PC language” which would weaken arguments in court.
Mr Speakman’s office has been approached for comment.

If so, then the bridge itself was very low down on their list of priorities.
And I expect that is what will happen here as well.

SpeakmanSpeakpersonSpeakx he noticed there was a problem, say, 10 years ago. If at that time no one (or a tiny number) seemed to rankle at being known as a man or a woman then what has changed now that we must honour?Maybe I am being unfair. It would seem very likely that he never felt masculine terms fit him, and even ‘man’ made his uncomfortable and self-conscious. I will admit, I hesitate.
Even the name Speakman would seem inappropriate. And here I am thinking of ‘man’ not as a gender, but as an epithet for the human race.

I can see why Southern might like to get some stuff off her chest, but it seemed kind of self-indulgent. She thinks she owes the world some great responsibility to tell the truth about what really happened…mmm don’t see how telling her side of the story is such a vital public service.
Many people love gossip. This came across as gossipy to me, an airing of grievances -possibly legitimate grievances – against a bunch of people (many of whom have not been relevant for years). I’m not saying Southern isn’t telling the truth, I’m just saying…well…at the end of the documentary, I had only one question – why should I care about any of this stuff?

Too right, Calli! Our last driving trip in 2019 pre Covid was flight into Zurich > drove to Montreux > Puicheric in the Languedoc area of France to go to godson’s wedding> Lyons> then back to Switzerland, Martigny> Interlaken>Lauterbrunnen> Lucerne> Zurich. Except for precipitous driving to Martigny through to Lauterbrunnen (I am not good with heights, but husband loved the driving), it was a great trip – especially Martigny which unexpectedly had great Roman excavation.
Previous trip in 2017 was flight to Barcelona > then a brief couple of days at friends’ house in La Liviniere in the French Languedoc region > Portugal – Bilbao > Douro Valley > Aveiro > Luso > Lisbon > Evora > Spain – Seville > Cordoba > Granada > Toledo > Barcelona. Highlight – again, for me – the Roman excavations Portugal & especially Italica in Spain & Cordoba, where Caesar executed his old friend and legate, Titus Labienus. But Calli – your are so right – the streets of Europe – in this case of Seville, in particular, are bloody impossible to navigate now – even with GPS. When we left our car in the carpark a few streets away from our hotel – we couldn’t even find our way back!
BTW the road signs in Morocco were unexpectedly in Arabic – although a few were in French! A hellish experience. In one of the cities, I think it was Marrakesh, we were approached at one of the city gate portals by a youth on a motor scooter who promised to take us (for a fee) to our hotel. I was convinced he was going to rob us in an alley, and persuaded husband to suddenly take a turn to “lose” the youth. It was useless, however, & we had to finally trust some kid, who actually took us to our destination!

Too true! .. at 74 I wake up in the morning with, “Still ‘ere”, followed by, “Another , bloody, one to drag myself thru” before realising that unlike a lot of over 70s I still have my health and can choose to go biking, swimming, gardening or do nuttin’ and tomorrow .. rinse & repeat .. touch wood ..! Driving blind without GPS or map (don’t ask) into Sicily’s Catania from the airport we were hopelessly lost, Hairy looking for a certain main street which was going to be our guide via verbal instructions from the hotel; we were soooo grateful when a young man on a scooter whom we asked for directions said he would take us there, just follow him, and who refused to accept any recompense, just waved and whisked off.
One thing about both of us getting older, I do sometimes curtail Hairy’s driving enthusiasms. Recently he wanted to once again drive down to San Diego from LAX immediately on arrival from the Syd-LAX flight, whihch we have done several times previously, getting a hire car and clutching our luggage. Nope. I insisted we fly there this time. But he still refuses to spend a nite in an airport hotel first. Compromise was that we would still continue straight on by air and sleep in San Diego.

I see this blog is as classy as ever.
I listened on the car radio today to interviews with people from the latest Covid-ridden cruise ship now in Sydney. No problems, was the general response. No big deal. Love cruising, going to go again soon. They are Covid cautious on board, said one guy, so I feel safer on that ship than in the rest of the city, if I was going to worry about it at all.
It’s over. People are fed up with the dramas and they know too many people who have had mild Covid and very few who have had any sort of bad time with it. Nor so they believe the current scare-mongering. Of course some people will get very ill, that’s life and the nature of viral illnesses.

That’s where Philip Mountbatten came in.
Now, I can hear sceptics cawing

The answer to this valid question is that neither are sons of P. Mountbatten.
Errr, Phil the Greek had a Greek background. The Mountbattens (formerly Battenbergs) had Cherman ancestry. While there was a lot of cross-fertilisation among European Royal families, you need to produce a family tree to in order to dub Phillip as a Battenberg.

Did anyone know Driller wrote a column for the Daily Mail until now? He’s even measured Charles fully erect member.
People who achieve high office begin to lose sight of their selves and instead to conflate themselves with their costume. We have all seen the airs that some people assume when they win a bauble, or are gifted a few postnominal letters (all those recipients of honorary PhD’s who ostentatiously style themselves Dr So and So), or bobbing along like a cork surrounded by a sea of their own official, grim looking security details.
I remember Hawkie being referred to as The Rt Hon Robert J Hawke – bastard was seldom right, and never honourable.
They begin to fancy that the dignity and honour traditionally granted to their office attaches to them personally: They say whatever intellectual mishap arcs across their synapses, and think it alights upon the upturned faces of a grateful nameless mob as a ray of golden, life-giving sunlight – a beam of illumination cutting through the suffocating blackness of those minds.
The reality to which they are so vaingloriously blind is that ordinary people are not bewitched by the trappings of office.
When a Prime Minister, a judge, or a senior lawyer says something stupid, that thing does not become profound when heard by the hoi polloi. Rather they themselves are recognised as being all the more stupid. And the disjoint between their deportment and their deliberations is a pregnant* moment that gives birth to hours of mirth and mockery. And no small amount of apprehension – but when dealing with officialdom a little gallows humour goes a long way.
Right now there are countless ordinary people who have never heard of this Speakthing before, and now that they have their first and only thoughts are “What a facile, pompous ass.”
But he will go home, pour himself a drink, catch his own reflection in the window, and congratulate himself on having having donned the pelt and picked up the very club of Hercules. With absolutely no idea what people are saying and doing, and laughing at, on the other side of the window.

Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Europe, England, US, have all experienced the effect of climate change and alarmism policies in terms of energy costs and shortages and the same for food. And in Australia what is rub and tug furiously pursuing: the same fucking policies which have already failed (assuming these catastrophes were not deliberately planned) in many other nations.

Doing a bit of “research” today and note that not one MSM outlet, other than Sky, Spectator (in Australia) and Fox (in US) is reporting on Hunter’s leaks (from years ago or yesterday).
However, I was pretty annoyed as The Rolling Stone magazine and Snopes both have indignant Op Eds targeted at Tucker on the latest leaks. Not once do either sites question if these leaks are true and what they might mean. They note 4Chan took the content down as soon as it could (without asking why when 4Chan really is a host of last resort).
No, they don’t ask any of these things (even if completely fake it is worth asking right?).
Instead, they launch into a massive, unrelenting attack on Tucker for “inspiring mass shootings” in the US as well as “fueling hate speech.” They, apparently, give ‘historical examples’ of this. They call him “racist” and highlight throughout their articles (in red hyperlinked text) his ‘bigoted past.’
It so laughable that now I know the videos of Hunter are real:

Riiight; so it’s paranoid to accept Klaus and the WEF’s declared plans to de-energise and depopulate the world. You tell me what is currently happening in Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Europe and Ghana etc is not because of WEF and alarmism.

Lysander
I watched the Tucker show about this. He crossed all the t’s and dotted the “i’s” and it looks like the stories are true about Bunter and “Pedo Pete”. They’ve been selling influence around the world. Honestly, as much as a despise the Hidens, I wish it wasn’t true but it appears to dwarf Watergate.
The one thing I don’t understand, and perhaps a smarter Cat than I can explain, is:
– If we are to believe that the Left is really now into destroying Creepy Joe (as evidence by the NYT’s double hit on him from over the weekend where readership is highest and the claims and quotes they got from staff were fricking unbelievably cutting), then why aren’t they jumping on the Hunter stuff?
The only conclusion I can sensibly come to is that its not just a “Hunter thing,” it’s an “establishment thing” (aka Epstein and friends)… but happy to hear other thoughts…
“Hunter Biden was right.

Focus on exactly the claim those two meatheads (and now you) are claiming. You’re claiming without a shred of evidence that famines materializing around the world are a deliberate attempt to reduce population numbers. And more so, you’ve mentioned specific countries where this is supposed to be occurring. No evidence though for this spectacular occurrence.

There’s no way back from this. The stain of rank, unfettered cowardice is too great. The entire police department needs to be sacked, then every one of those individuals permanently marked and banished to California.
Then the Uvalde Police need to be dissolved as an entity. The building can stay. Everything in it aside from major fixings goes on the fire, along with everything that says ‘Uvalde Police’ on it. Start again, ground up. Different name, different uniforms, different people and most importantly a different fucking attitude to doing what they are paid – and funded, which are different things – to do.
Totally! I’m always surprised when I log into YouTube and only one day after his show, he’s already got over a million viewers (and that’s only on YouTube and not counting cable viewer, rumble and all the other streaming sites).
I’m absolutely loving watching him daily, particularly with Hiden’s demise (thanks JC for term). I’m getting “so sick of winning” lol! 😛
No evidence though for this spectacular occurrence.

You’re right Lizzie, Diana was not dumb. I met a cousin of Diana’s back in the mid 1990s (before her tragic death) and she described Diana as someone who’d been poorly educated but had blossomed into a sophisticated and rather cunning woman. She said that Diana’s role in life, being a member of the aristocracy, was to marry well, and as we all know she did marry well but sadly, not happily. Her interests growing up were limited, she loved ballet, swimming and reading romantic novels so that when she married Charles she was a very naive and immature girl. She really though of Charles as her prince charming. However by the time of her death, she was not that same girl of nineteen. Okay, she was no intellectual but that doesn’t mean she was dumb.

A great many still don’t realise it. The topic came up with someone I know who looked at me in shock when they realised I hadn’t had the jab and said how brave I was. I said they were the brave one to take an experimental drug which didn’t even prevent catching or spreading the illness. Okay, she was no intellectual but that doesn’t mean she was dumb.
Not a good comparison. Look at a high proportion of “intellectuals” in the western world. They give new meaning to the word “dumb”.
An intelligent person might know that a tomato is a fruit, but it takes a smart person to know not to put tomato in fruit salad. Many western intellectuals probably complain that the tomato makes the chocolate ice cream taste funny.
