Turtlehead, we’re still waiting for those details on the costs of legal immigration and how it burdens all taxpayers.
Go!

Big words coming from one who continually makes many – many indeed – wild assertations about other commenters, yet never produces any evidence in support.

The word for this is: Hypocrite.
Though “Albanese” will do.

You’re now Albanese (Anal for short, coz we’re all mates here & love using nicknames) – coz you & he have so much in common ethically & morally.

Next morning put it up ion the gamble again 9unless you have a bandsaw) and hacksaw down the backbone to cut the animal in half. You then cut it into 3 chunks, shoulder/ribs/rear leg. From there its easy to brake it down into chops/roasts etc.

Despatch from the front lines – the bandsaw is *definitely* the way to go 🙂

If I was a serial public masturbator, I’d want a name like this bloke (the NT News):

AN ALLEGED public masturbator was locked in handcuffs in the Darwin court to minimise the risk of him whipping it out before the judge.

Jason Paul McCracken appeared at Darwin Local Court facing charges of behaving in an indecent manner in a public place and failing to comply with reporting conditions.

Out and proud, feeding the chooks in the CBD mall at lunchtime, apparently. Again.

There are Millions of Cameras Around the World Made by a State-Run Chinese Company. Guess Whose Servers They Tried Connecting To?

The exhaustingly politically correct Brits decided they needed to install cameras made by the Chinese throughout the UK. I’m not suggesting they went with a Chinese company due to “wokeness,” but I will say this: they recently arrested a decorated veteran for “causing anxiety” with a Twitter post.

The UK’s Channel 4 News is reporting that British authorities have installed roughly “one million cameras in every aspect of British life” made by a Chinese company called “Hikvision.” They have been posted in schools, top-secret laboratories, and police buildings. And it’s not just the Brits who are using them. “They [Hikvision] are the biggest providers of surveillance technology on earth,” reported Channel 4 News.

The video says that no one knows just how many Hikvision cameras are posted worldwide—that’s about to become very important—though they are believed to own one-third of the market share and produce 36 million cameras per year

Italian news reported last year that there are 140 Hikvision cameras at an Italian airport, and they were caught trying to connect with Chinese servers, making 11,000 unauthorized requests per hour. Hikvision claimed it was due to “outdated codes.”

At least a million CCTV cameras supplied by a Chinese state-owned company are installed in the UK.

Channel 4 News can reveal the government has turned down a request to meet the company amid security concerns, with reports of some cameras trying to connect to Chinese servers.

“I’ve now begun to describe this [Hikvision cameras] as digital asbestos,” said Prof. Fraser Sampson, the UK’s CCTV commissioner.

The increased cost of the immigrants lurks and perks mean our people are taxed harder and cannot afford as many kids.

Population growth (which is entirely due to immigration in Australia) causes inequality. Budgets are so structured that rising inequality raises tax levels.

Representatives are Too Invested in Defense Contractors

As Congress considers two monumentally important pieces of legislative business — the annual defense policy bill and a historic reform to congressional ethics rules — it is worth taking some time to consider just how deep the potential for corruption goes in both these areas and how they intersect with one another. In other words, congressional corruption and ethical failings are inextricably linked to the military-industrial-congressional complex — the unhealthy intersection between Congress and the defense sector. This situation calls for serious reforms, and Congress is the only stakeholder that can make that happen.

A Cozy Relationship

There are few examples that better highlight the ethical dysfunction in Congress than the excessively cozy relationship between policymakers and the defense industry. Each year, including this one, members of the House and Senate armed services committees and the House and Senate appropriations committees craft the policy and allocate the hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars that fund the Pentagon. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is the primary vehicle for defense policy. The accompanying appropriations bill allocates the money to operationalize the policy laid out in the NDAA. To put this in perspective, consider that the defense budget now clocks in at more than $800 billion and the Pentagon allocated $420 billion in contracts in fiscal year 2020 — over half the total defense budget and a contract dollar amount larger than every other federal agency combined.

In light of the scale and scope of defense spending, reasonable observers could be forgiven for assuming there might be some prudential rules in place to prevent corruption when it comes to Congress’s work regarding the defense industry. Unfortunately, there are virtually no such rules. In fact, the current framework around congressional conflicts of interest and campaign finance regarding industry relationships is so permissive as to all but guarantee the perversion of the policymaking process in this area.

– A Cash Cow for Congressional Committees
– Solutions

There are related areas that demand reform, including the revolving door between Congress and the defense industry. It is all too common for former members of Congress and staffers on committees related to the defense industry to immediately transition to employment with a defense firm, or to begin work as a lobbyist or consultant for defense firms before returning to Congress again (in the case of staffers, at least). This phenomenon calls into question the incentives and interests of congressional staffers and members on defense-related committees when they may be eyeing more lucrative employment with the sectors and companies they are ostensibly overseeing and regulating. It’s worth considering stronger rules surrounding cooling-off periods — the mandatory wait time between holding official positions and accepting employment with a related industry or company — and restrictions on employment-related communications between officials or staffers and potential future employers.

– Conclusion

Salvatore, Understaffed & Overworked Martyr to Border Closure

What are these lurks and perks that the cost of current citizenry?

There may be something in such a claim.
The Nadeslingam/Murugappan (Biloela) family have had one helluva lot of taxpayer money expended on them.

Such outliers aside, there’s a fair bit spent on illegal/refugee/asylum seeker arrivals (choose preferred descriptor) They get fed, housed, & a helluva lot thrown at them. (Not all of this may be getting declared, there’s a million ways to fudge statistics & hide expenditure, as anyone who’s been near a government program well knows)

Pre-citizenship, all my (overseas) staff get no end of government attention, mostly from the public service trying to influence them out of doing any work.

I’d wager that the immigrant lurks & perks (if any) pale alongside the expenditure on & around our First Nations mystics. (& we can see what a helluva waste most of that money is)

Salt water. Depends on how much fresh water you need to dilute it for agriculture, and how far the lake would extend to do it.

Correct – the Lake has been doing its thang for thousands of years, and leaving a lot of salt behind.
Even quadrupling its size would fail to retain rainwater.
It needs an outlet to flush the millions of tons of salt out and a connection between the different puddles. Also a canal to the Great Australian Bight – I doubt the SA mob would like a few million tons of muddy salty water discharged into Spencer Gulf.

Good.

Among all the possible terrible outcomes of a yes vote, I forgot an important one. They don’t like the word Aboriginal because it’s a European word. They don’t like indigenous either, for the same reason.

Yet they like first nations, even though nation is a European concept. So why do they like it? Well, it implies sovereignty. They even talk about walking with Australia, which, reading between the lines, implies equal status with Australia, the country, not it’s people.

So where in the proposed constitutional change does it exclude the possibility of the voice making deals with other countries, like, say, China?

It doesn’t. The letter of the law is everything. What it meant is irrelevant, unless activist judges want it to, which they won’t in this instance. Even without making explicit deals with China, it represents an enormous opportunity for China to buy influence.

This is Pandora’s box on steroids.

There are a couple of blokes here who are pretty annoying, no, not JC, who also can be annoying at times, what motivates them?
Narcissism, lack of self-esteem, not having achieved much in life?

If I’d be running an establishment requiring that number of staff, I’d have left a few innocent clues a time long ago as to the location at least, gratis advertisement.

With the number of traveling cats, most would call in to say hello and maybe stay for a while.
Or that’s the reason why not?

UK on brink of energy disaster as Norway could cut power to Britain over ‘lack of rain’ (6 Aug)

NORWAY could slash the amount of energy it sends to Britain over a “lack of rain” amid the UK’s energy crisis.

Terje Aasland said Norway plans to limit electricity exports because the hydropower reservoirs used to generate 90 per cent of its supplies are low.
He told energy news site Montel: “We are looking at how to limit exports in situations where reservoir filling becomes critically low.

“Then we must secure enough power for our national consumption.”

Certainly seems to be an unusual drought going on in Europe at the moment, with French nuke plants short of cooling water and German barges unable to use the Rhine. It’s like a lot of the stupidness.

Like putting females into Infantry Battalion’s, etc.

They drone endlessly about stopping violence against women, but then push them into the most violent occupations and sports, and demand they be thought of as no different to their male counterparts.

You either believe women should be protected from the practices and instincts of the stronger sex, or you accept that they are no different and that occasionally their behaviour warrants them being dragged out of the boozer for a bit of ‘dead ground counselling’.

If you want to pound into your soldiers that a wounded women should be left to her own devices during a fire through (as is expected by males), and demand they mix it up with boys during ‘milling’, then don’t be surprised when such indoctrination overflows into civilian life, and the long tradition of chivalry disintegrates.

They can’t have it both ways.

Amazing if this happens.

Andrew Bailey would be told to abandon the Bank of England’s 2pc inflation target under a radical plan to reform its mandate and boost the economy.

Mr Bailey, the Bank’s Governor, may be ordered to target nominal GDP in future – the size of the economy in cash terms – instead of seeking to keep inflation at 2pc, under plans being floated by allies of the Tory leadership frontrunner Liz Truss.

The only women who want to be men are the radical feminists, who’ve just found out they’ve been relegated to the ladies auxiliary by those at the top of the leftist totem pole, the male poofter industrial complex, who, fresh from their victory in the poofter marriage campaign, just invented the trans rights movement primarily to break down the barriers for pedophiles lusting after young children.

As Calli says, the madness of trying to reverse gender roles will end only after a male poofter pretending to be female kills someone on the sports field.

Did Nancy Pelosi Travel to Taiwan to Increase Her Family Fortune? It Appears Her Son Paul Was With Her in Asia

If Paul Pelosi Jr. did accompany his mother on her August 2-3, 2022 trip to Taiwan, is he playing the same role for Nancy Pelosi as Hunter Biden played for Joe Biden, enriching the family through influence peddling?

Like Hunter Biden, Paul Pelosi Jr. has been linked to many shady business dealings but has never been prosecuted.

Paul Pelosi also was involved in Ukraine (and therefore so was his mother).

Paul Pelosi Jr. Quid-Pro-Joe and his son Hunter are not the only Democrat family members cashing in on their prominent positions. Nancy Pelosi’s son Paul is also on the board of an energy company. Paul Pelosi Jr. also traveled to Ukraine. AND — Better Yet — Speaker Nancy Pelosi even appears in the company’s video

So, the question is, what was the true purpose of Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan that has risked war with China?

My guess is that it is about computer chips and the family fortune, not diplomacy.

All Those Naked Hunter Biden Selfies That Keep Floating Around Are Allegedly Due to Body Dysmorphia

Back in May, the Clorox company announced another major round of price hikes to its products, including its popular bleach products. Because of the floundering economy and inflation, the company is making the necessary adjustments. As of right now, the current price at my nearest Walmart is $16.99 for two 121 oz. bottles of bleach.

242 ounces of Clorox bleach is just about enough bleach for my eyes to recover from this exclusive piece at the New York Post. I cannot bring myself to endorse clicking on the link there, because I don’t want you to see the images in that story and disconnect your Internet and throw away your computer in the style of Ron Swanson.

In the piece, titled “Hunter Biden attributes his penis obsession to ‘body dysmorphia’”, the Post details how notes found on the President’s son’s computer detail an obsession with his “9-inch very big penis,” and why he took so many with it out on display.

Thankfully, the Post asked a psychotherapist to dive into the psychology here, which I am sure we are all grateful for.

Lake Eyre, I reckon if we dug a channel around a Km wide and say 50m deep from the ocean it would work, channel big enough to allow for water flow at top and bottom in opposite directions and it would be just normal seawater even with evaporation. The channel could be relatively cheaply dug with nukes. Love to see it done, it couldn’t make things out there any worse.

From lotocoti’s link earlier this morning:

An Irish “LGBTQ+ Inclusive” football team beat out the female competition in the 2022 Junior J Shield Final, claiming a significant margin of victory in every placing that many attribute to the fact a biological male was on the team.

Na Gaeil Aeracha, which bills itself as Ireland’s “first explicitly LGBTQ+ inclusive” football club was forced to lock down its social media accounts following backlash as sport fans noticed one of the players appeared to be an older man.

There’s a picture of a balding , significantly larger bloke chasing down a stripling of a lass holding the pill.

Giulia Valentino, a male who identifies as a transgender woman, was playing against young women and girls in the Ladies Gaelic Football Junior J Shield tournament on July 27 and August 3 on behalf of Na Gaeil Aeracha.

Mr Valentino is an Italian dude who moved to Ireland. He also has hobbies, which he displays on his own social media profile:

Valentino performs at fetish clubs under the moniker DJ Mav and identifies himself as a “trans dyke.” Prior to relocating to Dublin in 2019, he was a resident DJ at a BDSM venue called the Ritual and Torture Garden, performing at both of their locations in Rome and London.

According to a post on Valentino’s SoundCloud page, he also performed at a bondage festival in Munich. He is currently the resident DJ for a fetish club in Dublin called Nimhneach, which means ‘painful’ or ‘sore’ in Gaelic.

Many of the photos on Valentino’s social media are of him in explicit fetish gear, or posing on stripper poles or in highly sexual venues.

Great. Just great. The perfect bloke for running up behind junior lady Gaelic footballers.

After the ratings disaster of Piers Morgan Uncensored — brought to us via Ruperdink Mudrock’s $60 million global Piers Morgan media deal — Sky News Australia had to think of something to fill the 9pm hole when it axed the Morgan show after only a few months.

Happily, it has turned to the host of Sky’s most popular show, Sunday morning’s Outsiders, and will soon launch The World of Rowan Dean, to be aired on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm.

All it has to be is more popular than the hopeless Morgan show, which sank without a trace with fewer than 20,000 sets of eyeballs tuning in.

Plenty of opinion online about the possible effects. The geology part though is the biggest hurdle. Area between Lake Eyre and Torrens down to the northern areas of Port Augusta there is a an elevated hilly complex of height between 100 & 150m. No way round it you would have to dig/blast through it. Also soils round lake Eyre saline and nutrient poor.

Be interesting project though. Apparently the climatic models are all over the place of the effects. A lot off doomsayers as well screaming catastrophe for the environment which I think is overblown.

Oh no. No, no no no no (the Hun):

Golf clubs are scrapping the “ladies tee” in favour of a gender neutral colour-based system after a push from Golf Australia. Under the recommendation, tees are based purely on ability, regardless of sex.

It allows talented female golfers to play off longer courses rather than being restricted to women’s tees, while the initiative also comes as an effort to help less-proficient males enjoy the game more by playing off shorter starting points.

Women have traditionally played off a tee further forward than men.

The ‘inclusivity’ view:

Golf Australia female engagement manager Megan Carr said her organisation had been “doing a lot of work across Victoria within clubs to get tees re-rated.”

“It’s one thing to re-rate them, but we’ve also got to change that name to change that stigma.”

Stigma? What stigma? Ladies playing off the ladies’ tees? The alternate view:

Mr [Lachlan] Clarke [a 13th Beach member who cancelled his membership] argued eradicating women’s tees would have an adverse impact on females playing the sport because it “erases” their own category from the game.

“There’s been no discussion, they haven’t addressed any of my concerns. It’s just see ya later, pal. That’s no way to treat a member.

“Unless there is a grievance where someone’s got a problem with the naming of male and female tees – and I don’t think you’d find one – leave it alone.”

Jab jab booster………………………………………

The Scottish government has shared reports demonstrating excess deaths occurring during the pandemic however, according to an academic researcher, this same government has omitted the distinct possibility that these deaths are linked to adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccines. The national government within the UK acknowledged these excess deaths and pointed the finger at one of two culprits, including A) COVID-19 caseload or 2) indirect health impacts of the pandemic. What they do not utter a word on are the results of an inquiry conducted that evidence significant excess death data yet suggests another potential source of the rise in deaths: adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccines. Recently Professor Richard Enos went on the record to feature a Scottish government inquiry linking excess deaths and COVID-19 vaccines. In an interview on GBN News, Professor Richard Enos shared that based on data from 2021 and now 2022, it would appear that the cause of the deaths is linked to adverse effects from the COVID-19 vaccines. Enos suggests the Scottish government actively suppresses the real-world data finding that the COVID-19 vaccines are somehow linked to the excess deaths.

Emphasis mine.

It lasted a fortnight, it never meant anything, nothing like that happened before or since and I’ve always loved you. I can’t keep it a secret any more, and I hope you can forgive me.’

Wife thinks about this for a while, and then says ‘You’ve always been a loving husband, and never given up on our marriage through thick and thin. I know you love me. All right. I forgive you.’

The 17th has water down the left side of the fairway. While waiting for their approach shots into the green, the wife says ‘Actually, I have a confession to make too. Before we met and married, I was a man.

‘I had a sex change when I was overseas. I was never comfortable in a male body, and I never told you. I should have said something, but I knew how much you loved me and I never had the courage to tell you until today. I hope you can forgive me.’

Husband stares at his wife, then grabs his clubs and throws them all into the lake. ‘You FUCKIN’ BITCH’, he screamed.

Before the May election, Katherine Deves, who ran against one of the Stepford Skanks, was smeared and ridiculed as a bigot and “transphobe” by the MSM, by progressives, and worse, by so called Liberal scum such as Karma Sharma, Rent Zimmerboy and Matt Green Kean, who all called for her to be disendorsed and actively participating in Deves’ lynching. Why? Because Deves dared to speak the truth about women’s sport and the “transitioning” of children, which she accurately called “mutilation”. Mutilation can happen either through surgery or through pharmaceuticals. Anyway, Deves has been vindicated.

There is a golf club down near Coastal Town which is a “links course”.
Basically built on sand dunes with no tree cover.
I occasionally play in a men only mid-week comp for old codgers (>55).
Last time I played, the organiser announced in the clubhouse before the start that we would be playing off the front tees.
Listening to the howling Force Nine gale off the sea, there was not a murmur of complaint from the assembled.

Here’s a radical idea: no subsidies. It sinks or swims on the business case.

Which probably kills the idea in Australia, the world capital of the business scam. Ruinables, anyone?

Early Australian irrigation projects were hot beds of intrigue, but generally they were privately funded, at least until they proved themselves with government then jumping on the bandwagon.

(Quite incredible projects when you consider the equipment available.)

Of course any large scale project in Australia is pie in the sky unless the grifters can get a slice of the action and smooth the way with the indigenous and environmental lobbies.

Back in the day I had the odd round up at Joondalup Resort, a Trent Jones course that regularly appears in golf magazines because a couple of holes are so photogenic. It had blue and white tees for the men. The white (I think) were like the championship or members tees, the club operates on a hybrid model, and we’re a bit of a grind if you were having a bad day. If you moved up to the blues you could basically fly all the fairway bunkers and it became a bit of a (relative) doddle. Not sure what the answer is. The time to play golf is an issue with many public courses basically unplayable on weekends, even if you can get a tee time.

Only in the Territory:

AN ALLEGED public masturbator was locked in handcuffs in the Darwin court to minimise the risk of him whipping it out before the judge.

Jason Paul McCracken appeared at Darwin Local Court facing charges of behaving in an indecent manner in a public place and failing to comply with reporting conditions.

The 39-year-old’s hands were still in cuffs as he appeared before the court via a prison video link on Thursday.

Chief Judge Elizabeth Morris asked why he was still restrained during his court video link.

“He’s got handcuffs on which is a bit unusual,” Ms Morris said.

“Is there a concern that he’ll do (in court) what he’s been charged with?”

McCracken’s defence Erin Morton said it was not a “proven” risk, but did not raise objections to her client’s restraints. The court heard McCracken was one of three alleged “serial masturbators” on the court list that day, with police alleging McCracken acted inappropriately in Darwin’s Smith St Mall on Saturday July 2.

Ms Morton said her client was “quite unwell” and had been failed by the system meant to protect and care for him.

Ms Morton said McCracken, who has an acquired brain injury, was under a public guardianship order which had “fallen by the wayside”.

“It didn’t stop, it still exists,” Ms Morton said. “All I know is that he was effectively released from custody not that long ago and it doesn’t seem like there was a support plan in place.”

Ms Morton said the cognitively impaired man was homeless without any clear support at the time of the alleged offence.

Spoke to a major manufacturer of Ag equipment yesterday about the state of the supply chain.
He said he can’t price new machines past six -twelve months because he has no solid idea of the cost to build or the availability of parts.
Cabins for the gear are built in Germany and they are 10,000 units behind for their own brand, let alone supplying other customers.
Spread this story across the entire manufacturing sector, add on the massive power price increases and it’s a sure recipe for recession or collapse.

Rockdoctor at 9:49.
I see them as totally different.
The Bradfield scheme has largely known objectives and outcomes.
The Eyre scheme is a “hit and hope” pipedream. I think it makes the mistake of assuming Victorian rainfall patterns could be replicated way further North – just add water.
Here’s another thought.
How do the operators of the scheme recover from the beneficiaries?
If I own a farm 500-1000 kms East and Lake Eyre Rainmakers Inc come knocking looking for cash for “extra rainfall” I am telling them to fuck off.
The obvious thing is to legislate “rainfall” fees to ensure the financial viability of the scheme.
Sort of like the windfarm model.

That would be the 3rd on the Quarry 9. Basically all carry but not much more than a PW. I pushed a blind drive on one of the other 9s and was playing from a grove of sheoaks in the Sandhills near the wreck of a rusted old car dumped there years ago. Don’t remember what I scored on that one.

As a young mile school record holder in the days of

The Landy legacy: the beginning of a tradition

UP TO and including the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, Australia had no tradition in distance running. Six years later, on the day that Herb Elliott broke the world mile record in Dublin, five of the world’s eight fastest milers were Australian. Two years later, Elliott won the Olympic 1500 metres gold medal in world-record time in Rome, the peak of a career in which he remained unbeaten in 42 races at a mile or 1500 metres.

“It was a wonderful era for track and field in Australia, especially in Victoria,” writes Ron Clarke, another serial record-breaker of the time, in a foreword to a new book. “And it really started that December day in 1952 when the great John Landy discovered his destiny.”

It was great to watch – Men 1500m finals | Commonwealth Games Athletics 2022

Ollie Hoare ‘the new Herb Elliott’ wins in a race for the ages

Ollie Hoare rounded the final bend three wide. He had three men ahead of him, two former world champions, ahead of him. The man in the lead, a Scotsman who was the reigning world champion and had the screaming local crowd behind him. Yet Hoare knew he would win.

Without a hint of hyperbole, Ollie Hoare won one of the greatest races in Australia’s running history and etched his name as a great of the sport.

Herb Elliott, John Landy, Ron Clarke, Craig Mottram and now Ollie Hoare.
