Doctor m0nty decided:
I see Dover has highlighted this already, so allow me to double-dose highlight it.
m0nty has declared the unjabbed posed no danger to the jabbed.
m0nty sees no contradiction between this and any prior statement of his collectivist outsourced soft-power vaccine coercion rationale. But wait, involuntarily unjabbed is morally different to voluntarily unjabbed, so cancer chemo cases croaking courtesy of covid is catastrophic but shady syringe sceptics succumbing to SARS2 is simply showing Darwin’s splendid work. Because outgroup.
All that remains is to show when it was first known that 1) the original alpha strain IFR was overegged, and 2) that Ivm was effective, and 3) that immunity acquired from infection in under 60s was superior to Chadox1-S/Bnt162b2/mRNA1273. There would then be no more reason to suppose that the unjabbed were ever necessarily a danger to anybody else nor themselves.
I admit it is tempting to smuggle information backwards in time and apply what we only know with hindsight to those early heady days of early 2021, but much of this was known prior to that time.
Don’t fear the analogy.

Kissinger Sells Out on Ukraine?
From Armstrong Economics –
QUESTION: Martin, what do you have to say about Kissinger now?
I am sure many want to know.
AP
ANSWER: “Well I had hoped that Henry could have made it to the WEC this year. I think it would have been a very interesting discussion between the two of us. I am well aware of Henry’s background even with Schwab. He delivered a speech at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, and he flipped in his position saying: “Before this war, I was opposed to membership of Ukraine in NATO because I feared that it would start exactly the process that we have seen now. The idea of a neutral Ukraine under these conditions is no longer meaningful.”
I have long admired Kissinger’s geopolitical analysis. He was instrumental in moving Richard Nixon to open with China which was really a policy to divide and separate Russia from China. While he said that dialogue must be kept open between Russia and other countries even as the war rages on in Ukraine, for if you do not talk, there cannot be any possible resolution.
I fully disagree with Kissinger saying that Ukraine should recapture territory that has been annexed by Russia while simultaneously holding negotiations to end the war. Some of Ukraine’s neighbors really support Russia and would not be so upset if Ukraine was completely destroyed for many views that as karma for their alliance with Nazi Germany. The Western press does not wish to report on how in that region, Ukraine is not trusted nor respected. Some have even expressed the view that Kyiv should be nuked for that is the only way to restore world peace.
While Kissinger said that a diplomatic process could help Russia “re-evaluate its historic position, which was an amalgam of an attraction to the culture of Europe and a fear of domination by Europe.” He did not elaborate on that “fear of domination by Europe” statement, but the fact is that Russia has NEVER sought to invade Europe, but Europe has tried to conquer Russia many times with the two most prominent being Napoleon and Hitler. After the statements that the whole Mink Agreement was just to fool Putin to buy time for this latest attempt to conquer Russia with NATO planning for the long-haul to invade Moscow.
Kissinger also made the statement that “[e]ach side needs to consider for itself how the threat to human survival of the destructiveness of weapons, coupled with making them almost conscious in their application, can be dealt with.” This is a proxy war and Zelensky has no respect for his own people. This is all about a land grab and the Donbas has been historically occupied by Russians as has Crimea. Simply because Khruschev drew the border for Ukraine purely for administrative purposes does not suddenly give Ukraine the right to claim those regions when Ukraine was NEVER a country before the USSR.
Kissinger had advocated for a ceasefire that would see Ukraine accept some of the annexed territories as Russian land for those people are Russian and they should not be compelled to surrender their language and their religion. I cannot explain Henry’s flipping this position for it seems to be only one of two possible explanations (1) old age being 99, or (2) he was told to support Ukraine for this is the objective to destroy Russia.
I support the people in the Donbas against the tyranny of Zelensky and Kyiv for I have not flipped my position which is consistent worldwide for all people. In 2014, I advocated splitting Ukraine according to the ethnic language of the people. Governments have no absolute right to power. Kissinger has forgotten his history. Any government exists only with the support and consent of the people. Our computer pinpointed Ukraine would be the place where World War III would begin. On December 3rd, 2013 we published: Ukraine Maybe The Most Important Country To Watch!
As Thomas Paine (1737-1809) explained, government becomes drunk with power and presumes that they are the sovereign when that power resides only with the people. The U.S. Supreme Court stated in LEGAL TENDER CASES, 110 U.S. 421 (1884) (also referred to as Julliard v Greenman),
“There is no such thing as a power of inherent sovereignty in the government of the United States. It is a government of delegated powers, supreme within its prescribed sphere, but powerless outside of it. In this country, sovereignty resides in the people, and congress can exercise no power which they have not, by their constitution, entrusted to it; all else is withheld.”
The Supreme Court held that the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the land and binds every forum whether it derives its authority from a state or from the United States Cook v Moffat, 46 US 295 (1847). “It may be regarded as settled that the Constitution of the United States is the only source of power authorizing action by any branch of the Federal government.” Dorr v US, 195 US 138, 140 (1904).
This is why I do not support Zelensky or his ruthless proxy war with Russia on behalf of the USA and NATO. The fake Minsk Agreement confirmed that from day one, the West has been planning to wage war with Russia. They are using the Ukrainian people as cannon fodder and could care less how many die to achieve their end goal – the total destruction of Russia. What is also MISUNDERSTOOD is Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence which expressed the same idea as Thomas Paine. By stating that “all men are created equal” had nothing to do with slavery as some tried to re-interpret. He stated that these are “unalienable rights” that are NOT granted by any government. Governments are created to secure those rights, not to suppress them as so many have done and Zelensky is doing right now to the people of the Donbas which the Minsk Agreement was to be their Declaration of Independence that the west has bluntly pissed all over it. When a government becomes destructive to those rights, as the West and Zelensky have done, then “it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it.”
I am sorry, up to now I have always respected you, Henry. I would not have invited you to our WEC had you flipped your position. There is no purpose to NATO other than to confront Russia. Let’s get that straight. NATO is no different than Athens demanding tribute from everyone to protect them against another invasion by the Persians which also never came. Russia under Khrushchev was very different. It was pushing Marxism and believed that communists would rule the world. Yeltsin choose Putin because he was NOT a Communist, nor was he an oligarch. Those days are long gone and the Russian people themselves would not support a return to communism.
The West has refused to accept Russia as a member of the world economy. It has been the West that has tried to keep the cold war going. NATO, of course, refused to ever accept Russia was no longer communist and kept the paranoia going that they wanted to conquer and dominate Europe which was a goal that died with communism. Neither Russia nor China wants to occupy the United States. The days of empire-building also died long ago.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has no incentive to believe anything coming from Ukraine, NATO, or the United States after what they saw with the deliberate fake Minsk Agreement to only buy time for war. The Donbas should be allowed to vote and let that vote be monitored. They are Russians ethnically and they have an inherent unalienable human right to establish their own government, to worship their religion freely, and to speak their own language. Zelensky is a fake actor playing a role dictated by NATO and the USA. He is putting his own people on the geopolitical altar for sacrifice to seize a region that has always been Russian. When the last man standing falls, Zelensky will be given a free ride to the Bahamas to live the rest of his life on a warm tropical beach.
No government has a right to Deny Any Region to Separate
That Applies in the United States for our day will also come

I don’t. Love an analogy, me.
But my arguments above were about usage and definition of the word “mandate”.
To further drive that point home, as others already have, the buggers themselves commonly used the word mandate throughout the entire time to describe what they were doing.

If Aboriginal Australians need a special Voice to the Parliament, the logical extension is that every MP with constituents who are Aboriginal (which is probably all MPs) is failing those constituents.
Only stands if you assume government can solve peoples’ problems.
Not necessarily, Roger. The MPs would be failing in their responsibility to represent, howsoevermuch representation is related to government solving people’s problems.
Representation does not rely on an assumption that government can, will, should, or can be expected to “solve people’s problems”.
That is a whole nuther can of worms.
( and, patently government creates people’s problems far more than it solve them. Exhibit a) Alice Springs).

We have just returned from a very British breakfast. The Full English, as done by the Silverdale pub in Lancashire’s beautiful village of Silverdale, where one of Hairy’s old Cambridge friends now lives in an old stone house. He’s not well, so we didn’t stay there, putting up at the pub, which is a rather trended up old place with much old-fashioned good pub cheer in the decor. The breakfast room was delightful, full of old prints of Hogarthian bent, some genuinely early C18th, featuring perriwigs still, and toby jugs and statuettes of humanised animal heads on shoulders as if they were Roman senators. I forgot to say hold the black pudding, which I left untouched, though Hairy struggle manfully through half of it. We both recalled fried bread as one of life’s much maligned culinary delights. It was yummy with runny fried egg on top. Cumberland sausage and bacon were also good. All finished with toast and marmalade, in memory of Her Maj.

A brief sojourn to NZ, North Island over xmas new year was a pleasant little vacation.
Travelled ina camper van but stayed at large parks.
The scenery was worth the price. Nature is wonderful.
Some interesting things:
– dairy farms that bordered amazing beaches – mostly unheard here on the East Coast Aust.
– East Cape – only road to lighthouse now private so closed off to public – was a fun drive in a 7.4 m van along a dirt road beside a crashing wave – best sunrise views
– hot springs, mud pools, vents besides roads – just fun to be around
– price of dairy products extortionate – for that alone Kiwis should be rioting.
– so much untouched nature – very enjoyable after being in crowded cities etc.
– seeing sheep and cows in a park in middle of Auckland – trippy!
An example of usage is not an analogy.
We were talking mandates. I gave examples of mandates. Not situations analogous to mandates.
An analogy might be to compare the definition of mandates to something different but which the interlocutor (erroneously) thought was similar, something like, say, a Venn diagram.
That would be an analogy, but a bloody piss poor one.
Whether or not something is a mandate has nothing to do whether the mandate is enforced upon somethings which can be defined as a subset of some other things.
But then the purpose is to troll, not make an argument.
They’ve both moved up a couple of weight divisions since then.
We flew into Heathrow to spend a nite in Richmond with Hairy’s brother and family before driving up here to Lancaster and Silverdale, on Morecambe Bay, a place where we have lived for six months on two occasions since 2006. The drive up was great in a brand new hired deep irredescent Royal blue Audi A5, which has power, but also the disadvantage of being very low set, and thus easy to bonk one’s head on bending down low into its sports design getting in and out of it. Worse than the igloo, I say to Hairy, more wary than I was about this one. Today we move onto a Countrty House hotel in Scotland so I can see some more reindeer, this time headless, as antlers only, stuck on Baronial hallways.
Heathrow was a nightmare, not for us with British passports, but for those from elsewhere, non EU, who faced an up to two-hour wait, a huge crowd of mainly ‘people of colour’: subcontinentals, middle eastern, South American and Asians awaiting entry from flights. A no-nonsense fellow travellor Brit at luggage collection, when I opined that was cruel to make travel-tired families with kids also wait, said this was a major trick place for illegal entry, so all visas had to be thoroughly checked. Hairy noted they don’t seem to do that for beached boat arrivals along the eastern seabord, and hearing the Aussie accent, said that he was all admiration for the way Australia had solved that problem.
So monty has moved from denying that there was a mandate to saying that they were now only industry-specific, and he has the chutzpah to accuse the other person of engaging in fallacious argument.

db, in October 2021 in Victoria (to use as a baseline), around 90% of people had had one jab and 70% two jabs. 10% is still a lot of people, not to mention 30% if you think two are what is really needed (as many did).
You may think “okay that’s enough, let ‘er rip” but that is not a decision made by a responsible leader. You don’t just throw 10-30% of the population to the wolves like that. You have the luxury of being irresponsible and uncaring. A leader does not, if they want to be re-elected in a democracy.

clearly unacceptable mUnty … what should they do next?
Tee hee. Daleks the lot of them.
Very. Spent most of Thursday chatting to her about various matters (apart from the WEF).
She’s 38 and looks about 28. Her English is impeccable with just the slightest accent (as opposed to my Slovakian, which is non existent). A classic quote:
“I never watch or listen to the news – it’s too depressing”
Dunno, maybe cut his tits off? What’s your think here, Trans?
… are not even a majority of the population. Try again.
oh no
sorry punters
mUnty must have escalated the situation and gone higher up.
… now we have to deal with the Shit-Talker-In-Chief
you’re another one JC
you’re so nice and simpering in real-life
mind how you go
you shit-talker
I’m very nice to people who are nice, dickface. That changes when they’re not nice to me, you “simpering” drunk. I also don’t like blowhards. Here’s one example:
What’s your thinking here, Trans? Blowhard much?
The Australian sun isn’t too kind to the ladies (or the blokes for that matter). Takes a bit of adjustment in the UK and Europe. Particularly when you had 3 generations out clubbing in Manchester. 10 pints of Guinness still couldn’t help deal with that.
I didn’t imply they were a majority of the population. They were mentioned because they were the majority of the pool of 18 year olds and above not yet double vaxxed, and importantly, they had nothing to worry about from COVID. So, again, the idea they would be left to the wolves without the vax mandate is hysterical nonsense.
hope to meet you again in real life soon JC
I’d really like to shake your hand
Dover
I’m just thinking out loud here. This was the point I was trying to get to earlier. How do you think things would have worked out without a state mandate? I don’t know the answer other than having another government intervention in the workplace. The state could have instituted a regulation preventing employees from taking action over COVID. However, this would be as unrealistic as a fat boy suddenly becoming thin.
What do you think would have occurred in Australia without mandates? I’ll tell you what I think. There would have been a complete shitshow of lawsuits against employers on both sides. Let’s say a firm took the view that all employees needed to be vaccinated. Those that weren’t would have sued because their human rights were violated. Those who did not demand vaccination would have been in big trouble if they were caught blaming it on an unsafe workplace. This is Australia this century, as little makes sense. In this case, either way, employers would have their rear ends handed to them. The only way things would work is if employees are employees at will.
The god oracle making threats, hey. Piss off you useless drunkard.
Whoops, should read.
Those who did not demand vaccination would have been in big trouble if someone caught covid blaming it on an unsafe workplace.

Here’s Thought Leader making threats too. Wow.
This is the individual who goes to a the Good Doc’s home, eats his meals, drink his drink , asks to make videos, takes his entire family to his the docs home and then indirectly refers to the good Doc as a “idiot libertarian”. The Good Doc ran for the LDP as the Thought leader is aware. FMD. Class. 100 % class.
Perhaps in a court house over various stalking incidents.

I’m actually going to reply to you this once.
Nothing I post is directed at you.
I don’t read your comments generally. The ones directed at me are too full of vitriol to tolerate. I don’t want that stuff in my head.
I have NO ill will towards you despite your best efforts to make it so.
I think fondly of the great conversations we used to have and sad that you have gone this way.
I genuinely wish you all the best and every success. Always. Yes, MTs post made me think of that old song.
Not directed at you.
Nothing I write here or anywhere is at all ever, about you.
Please leave me out of it. I am not interested.
I don’t believe anything you say because you’re an untrustworthy individual. The Doc one being one example of what an untrustworthy person you are. Many times you’ve posted comments to me or about me (indirectly). You have stalked me in the ways we both know, with the example of the voice mail incident being one.
I have no idea why you dislike and distrust me.
I don’t know what you are on about.
I think you worked yourself up into a fear over something I have no idea about early on, and it’s spiralled from there.
I have no inside information about you that I could imagine anyone else would find interesting or negative.
I think the most negative things about you are on display in your comments to people here.
I have repeatedly stood up for you. As late as last year suggesting that a mutual friend seek out your advice.
If you have something against me you should man up and broach the actual original thing.
I don’t hold grudges, it this over a year long and personal attack has sure strained that philosophy.
It’s not just Rugby League with behavioural problems:
1. Rugby union star Kurtley Beale has been charged over an alleged sexual assault of a woman in a toilet in Sydney’s eastern suburbs last year. Refused bail.
2. Australian Olympian Peter Bol has been provisionally suspended after failing an out-of-competition drug test. Bol, who finished fourth in the 800 metres at the Tokyo Olympics, returned a positive result for the banned substance EPO.
Innocent until proven guilty in both cases.
Oh, for lord’s sake! You posted comments of a private nature about me that could only have been gleaned in a private setting. You did it on two different occasions! You took sides over an issue that had zero to do with you. Even though you deny it, you’re continually making indirect comments directed against mine. You laughed when I blocked your number by leaving a voicemail. It’s not the first time you’ve menaced others with threats. To be honest, I don’t think those two links you left were for Transition. You’re also blind to the negativity of others. I did not strike up a conversation with Trans. He began to troll me, which he does every single time. As for vitriol, I made what would be reasonably considered a fair assessment of your comments to Monster. You cannot justify your opposition to lockdowns and COVID mandates when you’ve supported Duarte’s summary executions and hardcore protectionism. It then just becomes a case of weighing the COVID mandates and laws you prefer against those that you don’t. There is no vitriol there—just an example of highlighting inconsistencies.
I don’t know what you are referring to, but does this mean you expect friends to suppress their real opinions and you call this “honesty”?
I think you just provided a shit list that are not at all the heart of the original issue.
What is the original thing?
Seriously, what the FK is this all about?
“Suppressing true opinions”? such as not participating in a non-topical argument that had nothing to do with you. This was the time you were carousing around like you owned the joint. But why focus on this? Why don’t you discuss the other matter dealing with your discussion with Monster? Why is it so vitriolic to raise glaring inconsistencies?
..
Because it’s just the latest in a long line of you attempting to draw me into a discussion with you so I’m forced to endure yet more personal abuse and accusations.
I’m not playing.
If you want to address whatever it was that set you off down this path, we can do that.
Seriously, I have no idea where this “you are dishonest” “I can’t trust you” stuff comes from.
Either raise the original issue or I think that’s goodnight.
I’m going to take a guess at it.
When I moved your comment you took it to mean I was against you.
You took it personally.
I was at that time struggling with what to do with comments. It wasn’t ideal and I upset many people. But at least I was trying to contribute to this blog.
As for disagreeing politically, over the death penalty, etc, I will never, never, ever modify my true opinions as a sop to friendship.
Politics and friendship are separate.
I have reserved my strongest criticism to DB on the war.
I don’t notice him responding with accusations of dishonesty.
I don’t care if neither you nor anyone else responds to a comment. Similarly, if you leave a comment, anyone has the right to respond.
..
Correct.
And I expect you will continue to respond to my comments with abuse and accusations of dishonesty.
And I will continue to not respond when you act that way.
You’ve brought this up a few times. I don’t know why because I had no idea you moved a comment until you told me. In fact, I didn’t even comment about this.
1. I’ve never once suggested you should change your views on any matter. I criticize them as they deserve lots of criticism but not once have I ever made such a suggestion. You’re yelling at windmills.
I didn’t say you were being dishonest on Monty issue. I said you were inconsistent.
Yes, you did, and you shall be proven wrong.
This conflict has nothing to do with the Chinese, and the outcome will neither hinder them nor encourage them.
You are reading it wrong, personal involvement never leads to a cold logical conclusion in politics or any affairs of men.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to butt in, couldn’t help.
Apologies.
Well, I guess it will just have to remain a mystery as to why you have levelled these accusations against me.
I guess I’ll never know, and you’ll never know what my response to it would be.
But it sure would have been better if you had responded to the voicemail, we could have had this completely non illuminating conversation months ago.
..
I think the destruction of the Black Sea fleet will have caught their attention.
Whether it ultimately helps them or discourages them I’m not sure. I’m just being upfront that my immediate interest is with Taiwan, and I see the conflict through that lens.
Sooner or later, the Chinese will do something about Taiwan militarily.
Why they would do that is a mystery to me when the Taiwanese gov was very approachable for cooperation, maybe not reunification, a few years ago.
Besides, Taiwan was never a long term province of China anyway.
Must be an ego trip
Same as the South Koreans toward the North, but the North scuttled that reaching out, both economic and political too.
Ideology rules!
Gabor:
The Taiwanese government may have been approachable a few years ago, but then Hong Kong happened and they realised unification was just a bus stop on the road to the Camps for most of the Taiwanese population.
Had the CCP been more lenient in reducing Hong Kongs democratic traditions, Taiwan may have just fallen into its lap, but you cannot expect a Socialist government to act against its own ideological stance.
Germany, “standing atop a billion-dollar mountain of masks” purchased by the panicked Merkel government in 2020, begins to “thermally reprocess” (i.e., incinerate) the rapidly expiring surplus

The Preppers and Truthers have been busy overnight.
Absolutely not.
He was a deeply flawed man. Before the Missile Crisis, my understanding is that he was viewed as a failure.
The idea that Oswald was the only shooter was silly and the hand waving away of evidence to the contrary is laughable. Back spasms as your brain tissue is destroyed. Made up by a trial lawyer. No doctor would agree to this crap.
Kennedy had so many enemies, Sam Giancana being the obvious one along with Castro.
“Oswald acted alone, for reasons unknown…” – simply absurd, like a blowjob from an intern “isn’t” “sexual relations” but that depends on what your definition of “is” is.

Healthy 18-40 year olds
… are not even a majority of the population. Try again.
But are they close to 30%? Try again.
duk put up an excellent and definitive analysis of the JFK shooting a few weeks ago.
I can’t believe it is still being argued on the Cat, is it like the endless Japan should not have been bombed and OMG I cant believe I got the needless needle so must defend my lemming like behaviour (unless it was needed to keep your job to feed your kids and pay the mortgage) re runs?
It is like being in the bar and the beers keep coming. Is it the comfort of familiar conversations or purely the desire to save face by holding a position?
It is ground hog day over and over.
