Rostov is important here as it’s a city where Shoygu arrived earlier to make some “preparations” for the “coup”, and where Prigozhin claimed Shoygu hid 2,000 Russian corpses to hide casualties. This is also where Russian Army allegedly shelled the Wagner units.

Numerous reports now of the Russian MIA forces blocking roads. It’s unclear if the Wagner units, if they are to move anywhere, are near Rostov.

Anthony Albanese dismisses Indigenous voice to parliament poll suggesting ‘Yes’ vote has fallen to 46pc

By Tricia Rivera
Cadet reporter
@tricialeerivera
1:14PM June 24, 2023

Anthony Albanese says there is no downside to an Indigenous voice to parliament and executive government as he continues to pursue his moment of national unity amid polling that indicates dwindling support for the referendum.

Reflecting on the 1967 referendum, the recognition of the legal fiction of terra nullius and the apology to the Stolen Generations, the Prime Minister has batted away polling numbers that show less than 50 per cent of the population would vote Yes.

A new poll on Saturday revealed people leaning toward a Yes vote has dropped to 46 per cent as the Senate passed the referendum legislation on Monday with 52 votes to 19.

“There’s a different poll every day,” the Prime Minister said in Sydney on Saturday.

“All of the polls, including the one you’re referring to, (comes) from some company, and I note that a week ago, there was a front-page story which came straight from the No camp last Sunday.

“So every poll, including the one that was mentioned today, of course, has the ‘Yes’ vote higher than the ‘No’ vote.”

Mr Albanese made an impassioned plea for Australians to accept the “gracious and generous offer” to walk forward together in unity.

“Just like the 1967 referendum was, just like the recognition of the fiction of terra nullius that occurred, just as the apology to the Stolen Generations were all moments of national unity, that made our country stronger, that made our country more united and made it more reconciled,” he said.

“This is a positive change that will not make or have any downside. This is all upside. And I sincerely hope that Australians do vote ‘Yes’.”

The comments come as the Prime Minister rejected Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s calls to delay or change the referendum.

The Liberal leader said Mr Albanese should delay the referendum if he believed it would fail to ensure reconciliation is not set back.

“The Prime Minister of the day has the option before him now to work with us to say to the Australian public that we will go forward in a unifying, not dividing, moment in October of this year. That is the hand of friendship that we extend to the government today,” Mr Dutton said earlier this week.

“We propose to legislate the voice. Let’s do that. Let’s sit down and work together on the drafting of that and make sure that Australians can understand how it works, good and bad, but let them be informed.”

The Hostomel thought occurred to me too – since the Russians ran out of fuel. If they’d each strapped a 1000 L carboy of fuel on the back of their tanks instead of having to wait fruitlessly for the tanker trucks to not arrive, history might be different.

Would have loved to be a fly on the wall for the discussion among the Uke generals as they watched the Wagner dudes, who they have fought for the past year and who killed many of their countrymen, strap massive fuel loads to their troop convoys heading north.

On the one hand, these mercenary sons of bitches deserve to die, and there’s no telling when you’ll get a better opportunity to kill a lot of them with a few well-placed missiles to make all that accelerant go boom.

On the other hand, would they do more damage to your real enemy if you sat back saying sayonara and bon voyage?

Putin had Kiev surrounded in the first weeks of the War, he signed a Peace Agreement with the Ukes and withdrew troops, then the Hohols broke the agreement.
Plus, Minsk 1 and Minsk II, which they also broke.

Bottom Line:
Putin coulda and shoulda won the War inside a month.
The fact that he went easy is proof of treachery, and the Slavs have woken up.

Reflecting on the 1967 referendum, the recognition of the legal fiction of terra nullius and the apology to the Stolen Generations

What a turd.

I very much doubt he understands what the 1967 referendum was about otherwise he would notice it served the opposite purpose than The Voice. He may well think it was when Aborigines were given citizenship, or first recognised as human, or some other half-thought out idiocy.

Terra Nullius means that there was no state native to or occupying the territory to be approached as a peer. Which was true. You will find this definition everywhere except Australian websites, where they pretend it meant there were no people, and thus easily discredited.

A very discreditable lie.

But the Stolen Generation is the newest lie. Despite being a defined class for whom we are meant to feel unending guilt. Yet they have been unable to find a single case where an Aboriginal child was removed their family merely because they were Aboriginal as a part of policy, nor record of such a policy, laws, or departments or commissions charged with doing so. They found a nurse who had not released a kid back to his mother and the kid (now a man) won compensation precisely because there was no law or regulation under which it would have been permitted.

Then there is Bolta’s long-standing challenge which has not been met yet.

The practical definition of ‘Stolen Generation’ used applies as much to Whitey as Aborigines – removal for welfare reasons, or parents sending kids off to be looked after and educated.

Albo really is a light weight, and is lucky the MSM is prepared to act as a windbreak otherwise he would be blown away by a mild gust of truth.

To some extents I don’t think it’s very ‘weird’ simply due to the fact that it’s no secret that society is split between hardliners who are sick and tired of Russia being humiliated by the West and this ‘slow-walked’ velvet-glove style war, and the others who are ok with the status quo. And so it was only a matter of time before things boiled over at least to some degree and initiated a kind of reckoning between the two groups

Not at all but your comments on the UKR/RUS War most certainly are along with your recent mutterings on the Wagner Group activities.

Funny that because I gave nine different scenarios that could happen.

Jacinda Ardern signs million-dollar book deal to write memoir ‘to inspire my 14-year-old self’
James Salmon, Perth | Foreign Desk
Friday June 23 2023, 4.00pm BST, The Times

Jacinda Ardern has announced that she is writing a book about leadership after five years as New Zealand’s prime minister.

Ardern, who was just 37 when she was elected in October 2017, said she would eschew the usual political tell-all in favour of something that would have inspired her “14-year-old self”.

“I didn’t want to write a book that hauled over the internal politics of the last five years, and then someone convinced me that I didn’t have to,” Ardern wrote in an Instagram post.

“That maybe it might be worth expanding on some of the things I talked about in my valedictory instead — like the idea you can be your own kind of leader and still make a difference. And so that’s what I’m planning to do.”

Ardern said she had no date for when the book would be published because she was “pretty busy”, but “hoped that when it’s done, it’s the kind of book that would have made a difference to my 14-year-old self”.

According to The New Zealand Herald, she has been offered an advance of between NZ$1 million (£482,000) and NZ$1.5 million (£724,000).

Ardern, 42, quit unexpectedly in January, saying that she “no longer had enough in the tank to do the job justice” in an election year.

In an emotional leaving speech, she said she wanted to spend more time with Clarke Gayford, her long-term partner, and their five-year old daughter, Neve, who was born in 2018 during Ardern’s first year in office.

She also signed off by saying she hoped to leave New Zealanders with a belief that you can “be kind, but strong, empathetic but decisive”.

Ardern enjoyed enormous popularity during the Covid pandemic, but by the time she quit her approval ratings had plummeted and her party had fallen behind in the polls amid soaring crime and inflation.

Since leaving office she has been in high demand. She was quickly appointed by her successor Chris Hipkins as a special envoy to tackle extremist content online. The Prince of Wales hired her to join the board of his Earthshot Prize, which funds projects that aim to save the planet.

Having accepted a fellowship at Harvard University, Ardern is set to travel to Boston later this year to study and speak on leadership and governance.

This month the avowed republican was made a Dame Grand Companion, the second highest honour in New Zealand, as part of the King’s birthday honours.

Ardern said she was working with a team of publishers — Penguin in New Zealand and Australia, Macmillan in Britain and Crown in the United States. The publishers did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The idea that Russia winning in Ukraine will stop “globohomo” is insane.

What will stop “globohomo” and other woke crap:

*The US stops funding, hosting and being a member of the UN
*Consumers wake up and stop supporting woke companies that want corporatist socialism.
*People stop electing “worker’s” parties & “conservative” parties politicians that are all in on this nonsense and do not care that their constituents do not like this let alone know of the support for this.
(As to the above – DEI only exists because of mandates like a compulsory 40% representation on corporate boards and other nonsense).
*Voters get longer memories and give up their irrational party loyalties.
*Weakening Putin and the CPC who actually push for the West to destroy itself, whilst at the same time grandstanding about the foolishness of woke ideology.
*We push out the Marxist poison from the education system which has churned us out semi-literate, partly innumerate and overly reliant on emotional thinking (as you would be easier to control).

I just watched another doco about Madsen.
The similarities between him and Rush are striking (albeit Madsen’s actions in committing murder were more extreme).
Both had unshakeable confidence in their own God-Oracle abilities, and went to extreme lengths when their omnipotence was either not recognised, or inexplicably didn’t produce stellar results.
I strongly suspect Rush new that the odds of failure were increasing, but rolled the dice anyway.
I don’t mind the “better to burn out than fade away” attitude. Just don’t take people with you.

You know something, having elderly parents isn’t easy.

Last night, about 9.30 p.m., at the dinner table, just after dessert, my ninety-one year old stepfather went to get up from his chair, and was struggling so my eighty-four year old mother decided to try and help him get up, with the result that he fell and he pulled my elderly mother down too. Now both were on the floor, neither able to get up, so my mother spent the next fifty minutes shuffling to the coffee table to get her mobile. The coffee table is about two metres from the dining table. Once she finally got to the coffee table, she was able to reach for her mobile phone and ring my nephew who had just gone to bed with his wife. My nephew saw the number, spoke to his grandmother and then said to his wife…”They’ve both fallen, I’ll go over”. So, my nephew who has keys, drove over and found the octogenarian and nonagenarian on the floor. He was able to lift my mother who, despite bashing her face on the table as she was pulled down, and with her face covered in blood, was okay and very coherent. My stepfather was not, he was incoherent on the floor so my nephew called the ambos. The ambos turned up about 12.30a.m. and took him to hospital, where he remains. He smashed his hip and needs a hip replacement, not great news for a nonagenarian, especially since he’d smashed his hip socket last year and spent three months in hospital, firstly at Vinnies, then at the Hotel California*, more commonly known as Lulworth House in Elizabeth Bay, and then at rehab hospital.

I didn’t find out any of this until this morning, and after going to Pilates, I went with my mother to the hospital. She was, naturally, distressed, and we couldn’t find disabled parking and so, despite my protestations, she parked illegally and I was worried the car would be towed away whilst we were visiting (thankfully it wasn’t). Anyway, masks are still mandatory in NSW hospitals, ridiculous. Sitting with my frail stepfather, a hospital admin person arrived to speak to speak to my mother so as to admit my stepfather to hospital, he was wearing a mask and we couldn’t understand him. He apologised, and said his English wasn’t good but I told him that it wasn’t his English that was the problem, it was the bloody mask he was wearing!

Anyway, my mother admitted to me that she’d told the doctor on the phone this morning that he’d fallen last week, however she managed to get him up. Neither told anyone of the fall, and he refused to go to the doctor. I was furious. She also admitted that my stepfather had been “odd” ever since that fall, on Wednesday night he’d gotten up at 3.00 a.m., shuffled into the bathroom, and started shaving. She got up and asked him why he was shaving and he said “good morning”, and then said he was getting ready to go and play croquet, and she should get ready too!

* Mum calls Lulworth House “Hotel California” because once you check in, it’s very hard to check out. However, my mother got him out, after much hassle. She did like visiting Lulworth though, she has many friends there!

I don’t know if this is right:

The 1877 Census of Aborigines in Victoria showed:
• 201 adults and 93 full-blood Aborigines and 83 adults and 109 children of mixed blood living on reserves, a total of 486 people.
• Aboriginal people living off reserves totalled 435 adults and 45 children of full-blood and 51 adults and 50 children of mixed blood.

Altogether, a total of 581, being an overall total of 1,067 Aboriginal people in Victoria 146 years ago.

• By 1900 the statistics of the time show this remnant population had decreased to about 400, many of whom were by now mixed descent children through interbreeding with the new settlers.

The 2021 Census shows that population of people who identify as Aboriginal in Victoria now numbers 66,000, an increase of 59,600 in 121 years, that’s just over four generations.

The point is Pascoe isn’t the only fake. And if the screech gets in I reckon in a few years every one in Australia will be identifying as 3rd nations.

“The thought of the possibilities associated with a post Putin Russia are terrifying.
Upper Volta with nukes.”

Yep, any post-Putin Russia will be infinitely worse than a Putin Russia. I suppose the likes of the pervert apologist and DaStink think that a post-Putin Russia will become a woke paradise, pushing creepy gender woohoo and LGBTQIAP+ ideology.

Nup, not going to happen.

Quite impossible! Aborigines weren’t counted in the census until after the 1967 Referendum!

You know something, having elderly parents isn’t easy.

Especially spirited ones like yours!

But who can blame them for not wanting to relinquish their independence?

Hope things go as well as they possibly can, Cassie.

My mother is 92, and still lives on her own. Certain of my siblings, who opined that she should move into a retirement home, were invited to consult a dictionary as to the meaning of the word “disinherited.”

No, I just think it will be a smaller, angrier and more impotent country. Much like its supporters in the West tbh.

The 2021 Census shows that population of people who identify as Aboriginal in Victoria now numbers 66,000, an increase of 59,600 in 121 years, that’s just over four generations.

This is the issue that those proposing massive payments in “compensation” and “reparations” must face – who qualifies, for such payments, and who doesn’t?

Kadyrov said his army is on its way to fight Wagner:
“Friends, it has been a difficult night and flights have not allowed time for me to voice here my position on this heinous BETRAYAL!!

Everything that is happening is a knife to the back and a real military rebellion!” – Kadyrov said.

It’s a hell of a ride when the dementia kicks in big time. I lived in a rural area when mum came to us. The first few years weren’t too bad. The four years before I had to place her in a nursing home were fun. The more the dementia kicks in, the more cunning they become. I would check on mum in the morning, go back to my house for a cuppa and unbeknown to me, she was off down the driveway with a suitcase in hand, hitchhiking. She also ended up on a list of elderly runaways at the local Police station. Several times I received a phone call and an address to collect mum from some bewildered strangers house.
Quite a few times a strange car would drive in and disgorge mum from the back seat. Only once did one of the samaritans have a go at me about not keeping her safe. I told them they were happy to take her home with them if they liked.
She also had the dubious distinction of being the only resident at the nursing home to have squeezed out of the window from her room. Fortunately, there was a well fenced area outside the rooms. When she could no longer escape, she would play dead. That really freaked out the trainees! lol

Well I am, and what’s that got to do with the Uke/Russian imbroglio?

I don’t support Ukraine, Ukraine is a Jewish cemetery, full of loathsome Jew haters. Perhaps that explains why Monty supports Ukraine.

Anyway, I note that you disappear from here and only appear when things are going awry for Russia. Why?

Elderly independant parents are a worry but infinitely more so if one suffers dementia.
My Mum refused to put Dad into care and refused also to move from their mountain retreat.
We were very concerned and gave her two phones. One to be with her at all times and the the other to live in her bedside drawer for emergencies.
I was unable to contact her one day and eventually got Dad on the house phone. He announced that Mum didn’t want to speak to me. A panicky phone call and a neighbour found her lying in the garden where she had fallen the day before.
Scolding her in hospital for not having her phone, she told me that Dad had binned them because he believed that they were being used by the family to conspire against him.
There is nothing positive that can be said about witnessing the degradation of the most influential people in your life.

Wagner can’t challenge Putin directly, says Russia expert
By Latika Bourke

I’ve just been chatting to Keir Giles, senior consulting fellow for the Russia and Eurasia programme at the foreign affairs think tank Chatham House in London.

He has written several books on Russia and his most recent, Russia’s War on Everybody, published last year, explores the pervasiveness of Russia’s quest for power and influence far beyond Ukraine.

He is glued to events and provided this analysis for us of the fast-moving events.

“Putin’s brief speech showed he knows just how dangerous the situation could be for him, but if he has a convincing plan for how to deal with it, he didn’t share it,” Giles said.

“Putin compared Prigozhin’s actions to the ‘intrigues’ that he said brought down the Russian army, and then the state itself, in 1917.

“He’s not wrong – this is not unlike the way Russian army units left the front en masse during the military collapse then.

“Putin’s defiant rhetoric promising to deal with this treachery firmly comes after weeks of silence over the growing confrontation between Prigozhin and Russia’s regular military.

“Invoking what happened in 1917 may mean that Putin realises he has left this too late, and allowed a real challenge to the stability of his power in Russia to develop.

“Prigozhin, and the forces with him, are in no position to challenge Putin’s grip on power directly, even if they wanted to.

“But indirectly, they have already shown the weakness of that grip. An armed force is roaming southern Russia and demanding recognition from the state authorities.

“That’s a long way from the unity of power that Putin has worked so long to enforce.

“The situation is still fast-moving. In any stand-off between Russia’s security forces and Wagner troops, a lot can hinge on what happens at a local level.

“Wagner has a long-standing close relationship with Russia’s military intelligence special forces, including shared bases and facilities.

“It’s hard to know which way those forces will jump – or any of the other units that have been deployed to block a possible move by Wagner’s main force further into Russia and towards Moscow.”

Yeah pervert apologist, because there are “globalists”, one of whom is “George Soros”. There’s a new organisation in the USA called “Jews against Soros”, real Jews who don’t like or approve of Soros. Are they anti-Semites? I don’t think so.

Now piss off. You really are a dickhead, of monumental proportions.

That may explain the injection of Kadyrov into the situation, who only three weeks ago described Putin’s prosecution of the war as weak. The prospective payoff for him & Chechnya must be huge. If he succeeds.
