Well done Spiky. Now the typical female question – what weight?
We all know why. 😀
I’m pretty sure it fits in with someone suffering dependency issues and also requiring constant validation.
Sneakers largely got a free pass on the state of the WA health system. I’m sure,in part, it drove the Covid response.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12581839/Haley-finds-birdcage-outside-hotel-room-Trump-campaign-former-president-called-bird-brain.html
Nikki Haley is accusing the Trump campaign of sending her a bird cage after the former president called her a ‘bird brain’ this week.
Haley returned to her hotel room Saturday after a day of campaigning in Iowa to a bird cage and a bag of bird food that says it was from the Trump campaign.
Of course, Faustus.
Like all totalitarians, they care not a jot for the majority. Greedy for power they will jackboot our faces in a heartbeat.
And laugh and point as they do it.
I don’t think it matters much at this stage, because Newsom will be the nominee. And I know you think he doesn’t have much of a chance because of where he’s from, but conventional wisdom used to be that a north Easterner would never be president, and then Trump came along. If Newsom is the nominee, a lot changes. The age issue will be quickly reversed by the MSM.
‘Come on Australia’: Nathan Cleary backs the Voice to Parliament
Well, that seals it for supporters of the Meanjiin Broncos.
haha love it
If you want to know where Albo went wrong, just ask the: https://www.indigenousjustice.gov.au/resource-author/expert-panel-on-constitutional-recognition-of-indigenous-australians/ who made these recommendations about any referendum on indigenous recognition:
a. In the interests of simplicity, there should be a single referendum question in relation to the package of proposals on constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples set out in the draft Bill (Chapter 11).
b. Before making a decision to proceed to a referendum, the Government should consult with the Opposition, the Greens and the independent members of Parliament, and with State and Territory governments and oppositions, in relation to the timing of the referendum and the content of the proposals.
c. The referendum should only proceed when it is likely to be supported by all major political parties, and a majority of State governments.
d. The referendum should not be held at the same time as a referendum on constitutional recognition of local government.
e. Before the referendum is held, there should be a properly resourced public education and awareness program. If necessary, legislative change should occur to allow adequate funding of such a program.
So, Elbow failed to follow 4/5 recommendations of the indigenous panel, where 1/5 recommendation was irrelevant!!! (Has anyone picked this up at all???)
Who says life is dull in rural Western Australia?
Last decent poll done in Michigan by Emerson has Biden and Trump tied.
Indeed.
They got Credlin off the couch, threw her into a castoff from the Muppet Show wardrobe and threw her in.
Newsom is positioning for 2028 right now. This is what DeSantis should have done.
Hey, I got a downtick count of 20 from a single post earlier today.
Deeper, Downtick Daddy. Deeper…..
And ugh… I just got the obligatory email from the boss saying “…while I can’t tell you how to vote, I’ve been learning more about what the Voice means, I can tell you that the vote is important for the future of our indigenous people.” FFS…
P!SS OFF!!!
How is that a good poll? They’ll cheat if it’s that close and in any event Trump should be 30 points ahead in that state. The dems want to want to rub out ICE cars causing thousands of job loss and even then Trump is neck and neck with the crook. Really, that’s a terrible poll.

She won’t tell me. I did ask for a weight, preferably in pounds and ounces, but I was told off for asking.
Is this bad?
Ah. Time differences Tom, yes.
I stand by my outfit-related comment.
So, the pigs ostentatiously take sidearms to the polling booth at ten A.M. on a Monday… but not to the pub at ten on a Saturday night?
Makes me even more worried that two or more of them can get humiliated by a woman, three sheets to the wind.
Braggards are dangerous. Weaklings with guns are dangerous. Embarrased, unloved weakling braggards should not have their guns more visible than their faces and nametags… esp not against an unarmed populace.
But that always happens with a new candidate. If they run an honest primary, it may not be Oldsom, but of course they’ll rig it so it is. Dover, they have to clear the deck of the crook and the hyena. He may not even make it to the next election and then what; the laughing hyena? I reckon he’s gone by January.
No, DrBeau.
She just doesn’t want to contemplate it just yet.
Someone suggested that combo. Can you imagine?
Been there a few times… (carry mace if you can).

Who is the mad downticker? Any ideas?
Because he won Michigan with an RCP avg in 2016 of Clinton 3.6. The final result was Trump 0.3. BTW, the avg flatters the majority of the polls that had Clinton winning by +5 or more. Further, Trump has done far better in Michigan than any other Republican in a generation. Romney lost it by 12. McCain by 16. Bush by 3 (’04) and 5 (’00). Last R to win it was Bush Sr. in ’88 by 5. All he needs to do is win by 0.1. Everything else is gravy.

For the Newsom stans, when is he going to announce his run? Give us a timeline.
It’s mathematically impossible for him to win by .1 because they’ll close the count down and then restart once they know the number of votes they need to manufacture.
16 was as huge mistake for the Demons in Mich. Never to be repeated again unless you’re verifying every vote is legit.
When the crook resigns, which I think will be by January. He’s not going to announce before then.

He won’t.
It will be done in the dead of night like when all the DNC candidates pulled out & left Joe as the last man standing.

As a result, he pissed off the LNP base.
Then, because the SFLs don’t actually believe in anything, Trumble (who had been rejected for ALP membership) was allowed to overturn the will of the voters in 2015.
That treachery has taken eight years to heal.

What an unfunny joke. About the only time erstwhile gliberal voters might be able to re-emerge is in two week’s time, sending the screeech down like the Hindenburg.

Yeah, no.
Hell, just looked on our valley Facebook to see that residents were hearing fire sirens. We are in Sydney, so went straight on “Fires Near Me” to find a grass fire had started on a property immediately to the north of us.
I started packing to drive up straight away while husband phoned our local Fire Captain. Understandably, he was busy. Rang his offsider to find that the fire had started a couple of hours ago & was promptly attended to by our brigade & a helicopter that was summoned. The fire has been extinguished, the guys have left, except for one who will stay overnight.
This is the stuff of nightmares. Neighbours have been predicting grass fires this season, but I didn’t expect to hear of one so soon. We have been slack & hadn’t got our 1,000l water tank on our trailer. We will now.
Wonder how it started. A hobby farm nearby had visitors with trail bikes over the weekend before we left for Sydney. Although I doubt if they would have trespassed on the big station where it started.
If that’s true then he needs to be traded to the Roosters, that sort of idiocy does not belong in Penrith. I thought his father had more sense than to let him do this.

Voted early, voted hell no.
Was asked if I had a valid reason for voting early, to which I replied “what are the criterion?”. She had a look at the cheat sheet and said words to the effect of “Are you afraid of COVID?, to which I quickly replied, “yep, that’s it”. We both knew I was fibbing but I got to vote early anyhow.

Figuring out what the SFL believe in is not enough.
The membership know exactly what they belive in. The insoluable problem is how to get rid of the Textor/Photios cancer that prevents the members from implementing their beliefs.
In the absence of a dictatorial Federal intervention there does not appear to be any means of overthrowing the lobbiest cronies.
A new party, despite the extraordinary difficulties that it would face, is the omly option.
No fancy policy platform would be required. A simple statement that the Party is being returned to the membership and its founding principles would be enough.
Oh, and a supertanker load of money to make up for the funds misappropriated by the Moderates.
This is easy to explain. Leftists want corporations to use cost pricing and they want governments to use value pricing. It’s okay when *they* do it.
Best funk track I’ve ever heard. Seriously good. Ferry is a little like them but from the rock side not the funk side.

That presumes his brain is has much acetylcholine left. Those inhibitors have little benefit. Like Reagan he needs lithium and should go keto because he probably already has type 3 diabetes. Alz often involves crashed Ach levels and type 3 diabetes(brain becomes insulin resistant). The bright side is the inhibitors may cause ulcers and bradycardia(slow heart rate), which can induce sudden cardiac death. Hopefully someone is slipping copious quantities of the inhibitors into Trump’s Big Macs.
Low impact when used by you, dumbass.
“Make me” lacks impact when referring to something I’m not remotely interested in. Idiot.
However “Make me” renders you impotent when it is I telling you to root a boot.
Order me to leave the site again. Go on, see how it works. 🙂
Then I’ll tell you if you want downthumbs you’ll have to do them yourself, again, you’re rendered impotent.

Hopefully someone is slipping copious quantities of the inhibitors into Trump’s Big Macs.
How far on the spectrum are you? Serious question.
Apropos, driller .
Apropos of stamp duty & leftism, whenever Stamp Duty crops up, the mind turns to economist-for-hire & all round smart guy, John Quiggin, who wrote a nifty piece once on (I’m not making this up) how Stamp Duty is the driving force of an economy.
A new party, despite the extraordinary difficulties that it would face, is the omly option.”
This is a problem across the Anglosphere. I agree and disagree with you about what to do, there’s the argument that you join a local branch of say, the Liberals or the Nationals, and then you agitate from there. The problem with this solution is that party members are always being overruled and overridden by party apparatchiks such as Photios and others. Then there’s the argument that you create new parties. Well, we’ve seen how that works out, the failure rate is high, look at the recent example of the Oz Conservatives, the Oz Democrats, and we saw how UAP and One Nation struggled last year. Perhaps a conservative should adopt the Holmes a Court model….and just focus on particular electorates.
I don’t know. As at today, I incline towards joining an established party and then agitating for change from below.
Busy day at the motel, hey?
Least I have an excuse as I was having a procedure and spent the afternoon in hospital waiting around.
So busy you have all day trying to stoush with someone over the web. Go clean some of the mold off the walls, you lazy, useless slob. You fraud.

It took one dusky lady from a group that never ventured beyond the tideline ( in that part of Oz) to whine to a suitable judge that despite multiple attempts to ” consult” with her an entire resources project should be halted.
I suspect she’s a Russian agent, Vlad must be soggying his nappies at the willingness of Australia’s mongs to keep a floor under his export prices.
Probably more inclined to join the Nats than rejoin the Libs.
Do you say its healed?
I voted Labor that election, and generally think hard before letting my preference drift to the Liberals. Personally, I no longer have membership; volunteer for HTV cards or letterboxing; donate; or believe that voting Liberal might protect the country from bad management.
The last Liberal government convinced me that they are weasels without a single principle. Only individuals like Hastie might not subscribe to their only value being opportunists and looters the same as the Liars.
It took one dusky lady from a group that never ventured beyond the tideline ( in that part of Oz) to whine to a suitable judge that despite multiple attempts to ” consult” with her an entire resources project should be halted.
Marxist wrecking with the connivance of canbra. I’d be interested to know how much foriegn meddling is involved too. More the US than Russia I suspect.

Okay.
Cats – there can never be enough Iggy and the Stooges in this life … 🙂
They cheated in ’16, it’s why they closed the recount down ordered by Jill Stein. Look, all this ‘they’ll cheat anyway’ stuff undercuts any argument re switching to Newsom. If they’ll game the election what does it matter who runs anyway.
Jerry Hall being hot.

No I didn’t. You insinuated yourself into an exchange again when I asked your dependent a simple question. The sole purpose was to commence a stoush.
Seriously, when was the last time you even saw a customer, you useless slob? Go clean the mold and stop concerning yourself with what other people are discussing. It’s not your business… in fact neither is the motel by the sounds of things..
Spectrum What Spectrum? It was at 3.00am this morning that I sent an email to a friend who has written extensively on ASD and pointed out to him a study which found that ASD is a whole body condition. He replied he has been arguing that for years. I know down to the molecule why the study makes sense. My friend thinks I’m an Aspie and also asked me to join a group for the extremely profoundly gifted. I’m not Aspie and I don’t join groups. Why did you even ask, you don’t even know about the TH17 autoimmune inflammatory socialisation issue?
Trump is already prodromal for MCI, he was reckless with the documents, should shut up, and is having temperament issues. He needs to lose weight, exercise, eat right, take lithium, choline, carnitine, possibly ALA, definitely DHA, Mg, and use nicotine patches because his Maynert nucleus, unlike Biden’s, is still churning out enough Ach. That might delay the inevitable.
Now excuse me, my ANNO island keeps going broke and I have to find out why.

Dover, because the chances of the crook actually dying between now and the election is not something to sniff at. And then there would be the problem of the laughing hyena holding the fort. The chances of the crook dying or being totally incapacitated by the end of the next term is 100%
I think it matters even if they cheat.
Rock ‘n’ Roll, Cats! 🙂
I hope Biden survives and becomes the Democrat nominee. I’m betting on self interest.
Hopefully, he’ll be a complete shambles when it’s too late to pull out.
Something for the “I never asked and don’t care” file for august Cats:
The main reason I don’t comment often is that, even before the recent changes to the site’s WordPress coding, the effective memory of the OT is rather equivalent to that of a malnourished, dementing 80 year old’s.
This is of course worsened by more frequent new OTs and fewer posts per page. The result is the same item, topic, issue being reported more than once, even within the same thread.
Somewhat frustrating, if one puts time and effort in crafting a suitably informative post.
I have no solution to this, but maybe an improved search function might help in reviewing context and expand the information quantum of related historical Cat topics.
End of whinge, now to the point:

Eating fewer calories can ward off ageing
And various existing medicines may offer similar benefits
This was common knowledge in the 1970s, even earlier.
It really does appear that “modern” research has ceased producing any new information, just recycling the same old crap, to fill pixels and column-inches for a dumber, more ignorant population that learnt nothing of value at school/Uni in the last 50 years.
Just Google “Ed Witten, String Theory” for an example of the sclerosis in physics in the last 30+ years, also reflected in other basic sciences.
A real tragedy.
Back to calories and longevity:
Firstly, experiments in mice almost NEVER translate to humans.
Secondly, what these geniuses ignore is the greater importance of quality of life vs longevity.
Imagine experiencing partial starvation for 30 years, in order to live another 3.
Now imagine being stupid enough to think this is a reasonable trade-off.
Academics-only, thought-free territory.
That’s it. Calli’s thumbs down ate the equivalent of the dweeb in the back row piffing bits of eraser at the girl he likes near the front of the class.
Did someone say Nathan Cleary has come out to support the screech? That’s a shame because he won that grand final; one of the best I’ve seen in my 95 years.
A pity really, that filling up with petrol doesn’t give much time to view this entertainment:
Marshals have been brought in to police ‘charge rage’ between drivers of electric vehicles at motorway service stations.
The boss of Britain’s largest motorway service provider said long waits for plug-in points made drivers ‘very angry and stressed’.
Moto chief executive Ken McMeikan warned the UK’s motorway service stations are facing growing ‘public disorder’ due to a lack of grid connections preventing him from installing enough car chargers to meet the surge in demand.
He said many motorists are facing long waits, with angry drivers confronting staff and each other and warned of the growing risk of ‘charge rage’ on Britain’s motorways.
Drivers in the United States have already been involved in heated disputes as they compete over a shortage of electrical points – dubbed ‘charge rage’ by US media. The term refers to the frustration and anger experienced by electric car drivers when they are unable to find a charging point.

Dylan did good songs!
Yes, they are good points Cassie, but I have joined the local Branch twice and quit in disgust twice.
Dissenting voices are not permitted, or at last face head shaking rejection from the front rows.
The Branch’s only role is to endorse policy sent up from Brisbane.
Surprisingly the facilitators for the Moderates are SME’s, perhaps more accurately retailers. Afraid of change?
I believe that a revolt could work here, but I have no idea how one would organise it.
The last time the Branch displayed any character, McGrath turned up and told us to behave.
First departure for me.
Cassie, as you mentioned above I tried a different party after a lifetime of voting Lib. In my case I tried Australian Conservatives only to see Cory Bernardi wind up the party after one election. I suppose he had no choice when he didn’t even get a single senator elected. I’m in Chris Bowen’s electorate so my options are really limited.
At least my state member is Tanya Davies who did much better in the last election than the one before while many other Lib electorates lost votes this year. I chalk this up to how the state and federal electorates are drawn. Badgerys Creek electorate does not include Fairfield Council whereas federal electorate of McMahon does which changes the whole voting pattern as Shatterzzz well knows. The McMahon boundaries make no sense except to neutralise parts of Penrith Council which leans Liberal. I hate gerrymandering.
The Qld branch of the SFLs doesn’t just allow you to join.
You must be sponsored into the party, have solid references, before they’ll bother to even consider you.
If you’re admitted, it is on a parallel membership with no voting or speaking rights.
You have to, for three full years, exhibit “sound” political behaviour, before you’re allowed any input, which can happen only after you’ve been admitted to “full” membership.
Cassie, nothing is going to change unless the populace experiences extreme hardship. Under Alcosleazy, probably not far away.
Awe. Better than 99% of all music coming out these days. Excellent single.
Just for comparison lets have a single from the same band…sixty years ago.

The only billionaire on our side is Gina Rinehart and she is already beset on all sides, not least by some of her own children. Perhaps at some stage soon other energy and resources corporations are going to have a gutful and turn on the greens and indigenous grifters and demand a fair go which could reset the whole political landscape. Let’s hope.
Crossie, Bons and others.
I don’t know what the solution is. Minor parties simply struggle to gain traction in a political system like ours (with preferential voting) or in the UK with first past the post. Minor parties can have some traction in a system like NZ or Israel. I quite like the Israeli system, there’s a lot more political upheaval and horse trading but quite frankly I don’t mind that.
Any Western Australian Cats know anything about this? What happened to a secret ballot?
Alternative parties are a lost cause in Australia. The libs are tarts and the liars and filth and their bureaucratic and media minions run this shithole. Of course you need a lot of sheeple which Australia has in spades. The lights going out and the local land council coming around to collect their reparations a la Soprano may change it. I doubt it. Our best were killed in the 2 world wars.
The screech vote will be interesting, cheating apart. If the vote is in the low 30s than maybe I’m wrong about the sheeple. If its above 40 or even passes were fuked at mach 2.
There is some hope for the Liberal Party here in Wentworth. Peter King, the former member who was knifed by Turdbull (with Howard’s support) now controls most branches in the electorate.
I’m really into Waffles Turnbuckle …
Any Western Australian Cats know anything about this? What happened to a secret ballot?
That’s bullshit. If I go to vote with that facing me I’ll be returning with a can of petrol.
Australia – rural Australia, in particular – never recovered from the First World War.

Smells like bullshit.

Why not?
Still one of the greatest love songs in human history, Cats:
Pink and Bleu …
Most are very silent and don’t divulge their political affiliations. But who cares anyway because Australia isn’t like the US where rich people donate to political causes very overtly. It doesn’t happen here as much.
My late husband and his sisters disagreed about their father’s treatment when doctors suggested he should stop drinking wine, which he greatly enjoyed, when he was diagnosed with heart problems. My husband defied the advice and still brought him wine explaining that at age 80 he was entitled to any enjoyment he wished. The amazing thing is that my father in law lived to be 84, hard to tell whether because or in spite of the wine.

What are you actually arguing here? Are you saying that you’d prefer Newsom to Harris, DNC and donors would prefer that, or the Democratic voter? And if Newsom runs, who’s the running mate for VP?
It just occurred to me how minor parties can get senators into parliament, run in Tasmania. If loopy Jacqui Lambie can get herself and another senator elected surely there is hope for others.
No, I’m taking Laufey to Mars.
Pretty sure this didn’t happen.
I’m saying that donors and voters would prefer Newsom. Even the demon voters think Harris is a complete imbecile.
Feinstein, would be better than Harris. I don’t know.
Destination 1 – Japan.
Destination 2 – the UK, with compo.
There is an active misinformation campaign against non-leftists.
Another example is the repeated nonsense “the AEC last election said 30% of voters failed to turn up at all!”.

OK – so just is this Laufey chick?

My late husband and his sisters disagreed about their father’s treatment when doctors suggested he should stop drinking wine, which he greatly enjoyed, when he was diagnosed with heart problems.
It was standard medical advice, until early 2010s, to encourage moderate red wine intake to reduce platelet aggregation, thus reducing the risk of thrombo-embolism. The phenols it contains act as effective anti-oxidants, also good for endothelial function.
As the COVID clusterf@ck has amply shown, slabs of medical knowledge is devolving.. see statins, cholesterol, anti-hypertensives etc..
The conforming, thought-bubbled charlatans are now winning.
My husband defied the advice and still brought him wine explaining that at age 80 he was entitled to any enjoyment he wished.
Excellent, sensible POV! Also shows why, without traditional male initiative and risk-taking, we’d still be living in temperate, but safe, caves.
Never, in my experience.

The simple things you see are all complicated, Bruce …
I’m watching Paul Murray’s program on Sky and would like to know how Nicholas Reece manages to look so stubbly unshaven and unkempt every time he appears on TV. If he did nothing for weeks, if not months, he would look better.
Once upon a time, you were just an odd bod … 😕
err … 😕
Pol – she’s only slightly sassy.
I’m disappointed. 🙁

491 MD pills. That’s a whole lot of pills. That’s not a ‘sell a few for my own habit’ pills, that’s a commercial criminal enterprise amount of pills.
Oh well. Off you go, you scamp.

Aldi sell one in their centre aisle occasionally. Mine has two Aussie and four USB A outlets and the plug end has Aussie, Euro, Brit and US adaptors. Perhaps there’s a later version with high-power USBs.

This entire concept of judicial immunity needs to be burned to the ground, and its ashes thrown in the ocean.
At a festival where a 26 year old and a 21 year old keeled over and died.
Might of been the terrible heat, said the MSM.

Why did the Yes23 campaign intentionally design their signs for placement outside voting centers using almost the same colors and branding as the AEC?
The Australian Electoral Commission didn’t appear particularly interested in addressing the concerns raised by early voters regarding the Yes23 campaign signs matching the AEC’s brand colors on X. It was only after these posts were widely shared, and some members of the public began to point out the AEC’s own materials and warnings regarding the use of similar branding, that they issued a statement saying they had contacted the Yes23 campaign to rectify the misleading material.
Some people have expressed the opinion that the AEC’s commitment to ensuring integrity appears to be one-sided and potentially clouded by political bias.

That Wong chap’s about to ‘marry’ an ex-Vicpol jack turned handpatter academic.
I have heard it said that she was very much on one bus (and apparently well worth a run), then got her heart busted up when some bloke ghosted her and then jumped hard onto the other bus. In the traditional fashion.
Never say you don’t get the news here.
